TN Candies Part 2

HI! I’m back with more candies to share :D

Part 1

Again, preface for precaution, but it’s the exact same stuff as last time, so if you know it and you’re okay with it, feel free to cut the chase and go straight to the main event under the cut.  

1, This post contains content regarding real-person shipping. If you’re uncomfortable with the subject, again, please don’t read under the post

2, I don’t have all the candies because I really just view them in passing, so I’m just gonna write/translate the ones I’ve seen, remember and find at least a logical speculation

3, I need to reiterate this in case my position in this gets misunderstood: Me writing about “candies” isn’t because these are MY opinion or things *I* found or *I* believe in them being evidence. I am just a translator and messenger.

4, Chinese people have a very difference understanding of platonic/romantic affection/relationships compared to the Western world, and that they look at the candies with rose-tinted glass. Chinese/Asian people are generally a lot less affectionate with their personal relationships, for example friends wouldn’t say “love you” to each other if they’re just friends, nor would they expand their friend group to the others easily or other stuff. And these people who look for candy go into their “investigation” already with the belief that “they are together”, everything remotely resembling a close relationship will automatically be interpreted as romantic. I thought about it a lot, and honestly among the “candies” I’ve seen, most of them are a matter of interpretation: yes those are things couples will do, but it wouldn’t be weird if friends did it too. So they’re not that seriously or up for further speculation. There is I think only one “candy” that I can’t quite say the same, which I will explain and elaborate on in this post. 

5, Please remember that the people who do this do it in good nature: something I didn’t make clear in my post yesterday, which is on me, is that the fans do want them to be together, but they’re not like… yandere level or something. If they’re just friends the fans won’t be upset or betrayed or anything, they just prefer to see them as romantic. They don’t mean any harm, and they don’t cause any harm because China is physically and digitally too far away for them to actually fuck shit up, and they understand the lines of parasocial relationships: those who met with Taylor during his China trip in December know to, and didn’t bring up this in front of him. They know where to draw the line, and whoever doesn’t and starts becoming a problem gets kicked out of the community. This is meant for fun.

Lexi Galitzine

Preface for this one, and I cannot emphasise this enough: I did not fact check this one, I don’t follow Lexi on any social media. These are discoveries of the original posters. Please do not disturb Lexi and respect her privacy, especially since she is not a public figure. This is observation and speculation all done in casual, good fun, please respect her and leave her alone.

Starting from 20th December, Lexi Galitzine, Nick’s older and only sister, starting following Taylor on Instagram, which is quite odd since it was past rwrb’s promo period. Even during the promo period, Lexi only liked the rwrb official account’s post on twitter. And it’s her personal account, not her work account, so this is a personal thing.

She then proceeded to like Taylor’s post from the 20th, 23rd , and 29th. All of which are pictures from his China trip, and therefore has nothing to do with Nick.

Lexi is a graphic designer, so she mostly follows artist and designers. For Nick’s co-workers, Lexi only follows two female co-star who are very close to Nick. Taylor’s the first male friend of Nick’s that Lexi followers.

Your Man

As we all know, on Taylor’s birthday, Aneesh posted her (so far) last rwrb photo dump, and among those ones was Taylor and Nick singing together (which was adorable)

They sang “Your Man” together, which is quite a romantic and sweet song if you look at the lyrics

Taylor then commented under the post, and I quote “You recorded Ahahaahhaa”, implying he didn’t know that this was recorded at the time of the video. But… from the video, Aneesh isn’t that far away from the boys, and Taylor’s facing Aneesh, unlike Nick, who was facing Taylor.

(This is fully up to interpretation) There’s such a… vibe between them in that video.  

(To me this is a stretch but) Taylor’s at Nick’s trailer. And if we recall the “OHHH THERE’S THE MOVIE STAR” little video where Nick got all adorably flustered since Taylor filmed Nick getting out of the lift, it means that Taylor was waiting for Nick, and Nick wasn’t surprised to see Taylor, so this has been going on for a while. If there is more than one lift, then Taylor also somehow knows which one Nick’s coming out from. They know each other’s route/place and meet up a lot.

Aneesh posted a video of both of them singing on Taylor’s birthday, and when wishing Taylor happy birthday, she posted that video on her story. It’s Taylor’s birthday, it would have made more sense to post either photos of just Taylor, or Taylor with her, which is what she did for his last birthday.

Nick’s Tiktok

Mentioned this yesterday but I’ll translate it here too: Nick originally followed 83 accounts on Tik Tok. On 11th January 2024, Nick cleared out his following, and only 7 remained: Camila Cabello (Cinderella 2021, Cinderella), Ayo Oedebiri (Bottoms, Josie), Rachel Sennott (Bottoms, PJ), Sio Torley (M&G, Crew), Inez Ella Clark (M&G, Makeup), Cameron Valetina (Model), and Taylor. Taylor is somehow, the only guy remaining.

Among these seven people, Nick mostly likely only introduced Taylor and Camila to Lexi, because Lexi only follows those two on social media

Later Nick followed a 4 generally accounts, but then three days he unfollowed two of those. So he has 9 followings now: 2 content accounts, 6 girl, and Taylor.

Please note that I did not fact check this, and I literally cannot fact check it because Tik Tok is completely unavailable here. Everything I translated is from OP and the screenshots she provided.

Again, this is all in good fun. But after the shit storm yesterday, I kind of wanted to use this to remind people in the rwrb who love them both and are understandably bothered and upset by the haters that the boys are proven to have a good relationship, and this is evidence. Whether these acts are platonic or romantic is none of our business and up to interpretation, but these show that they have a good relationship regardless. Don't let the assholes get to you, and have fun with these :D

Hyeongjun glanced over at his phone screen on his bedside table. Upon seeing your messages, he placed his guitar on the mattress beside him, instantly dubbing you more important than his practice.

have you eaten?

Hyeongjun didn’t even wait for a response before he was getting up, putting his guitar on its stand, and racing to put on his shoes. Right as he was about to slip out the door, he was stopped by Gunil.

“Hyeongjun? Where are you going this late?” Gunil looked away from his phone and turned his attention towards Hyeongjun, looking at him over the frame of his glasses from his spot in the kitchen. Hyeongjun couldn’t help but feel like his dad just caught him sneaking out.

“It’s (Y/N). They’re having a rough day, and they asked if they could see me.”

You had met Gunil and the others countless times over the span of your relationship with Hyeongjun. A look of concern washed over Gunil’s face.

“Are they okay?”

“I’m not sure,” Hyeongjun answered honestly.

Gunil hummed. “I hope they’re alright. Tell them I say hello and that I hope they feel better. And be careful on the way to their place, okay?”

Hyeongjun nodded and sent Gunil a small smile as he reached for the doorknob. After a quick exchange of goodbyes, Hyeongjun was on his way to you.

Hyeongjun softly knocked on your door, and you quickly went to meet him. Upon seeing each other, you scanned one another up and down. You looked over him, taking in his sweatpants, oversized t-shirt, and white-framed glasses. He had a bag of food in his hand, and his face held a small smile.

He looked over you and saw something of the same nature. Sweatpants and one of his sweatshirts cascading over your shoulders. Your hair was a bit frazzled, and you looked exhausted.

“Hello,” you greeted him with a small voice as he stepped in the door.

“Hi, honey,” he greeted you softly. He quickly took off his shoes and placed his things down before taking you into his embrace. He felt you grip tightly to the back of his shirt and then relax in his hold. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“Not really,” you spoke into his neck. He just simply nodded and held you tighter. The two of you stayed like that for a few moments; soaking in each other's comfort and warmth. Finally, Hyeongjun broke the silence.

“I brought you some food. Let’s eat before it gets cold, hmm?”

The two of you sat on your couch together, eating the food he had picked up for you both on the way over. As you ate, Hyeongjun told you stories about practice that day, trying to brighten your mood with the antics of his bandmates.

“Jooyeon almost hit Jiseok in the head with his bass at practice today.”

You stopped chewing for a bit and looked at him, wide-eyed. “What? How?”

“Jiseok was sitting on the floor during rehearsal, and Jooyeon was swaying around with his bass as he practiced,” Hyeongjun explained. “Next thing you know, Jooyeon goes swinging his bass right towards Jiseok. If he wouldn’t have moved, Jooyeon would’ve hit him right in the side of the head.”

You laughed as you pictured this unfolding in your head. “Of course that would happen with the two of them.” Hyeongjun admired the way your face lit up at his story, even if it was just for a moment.

The two of you continued to eat and exchange stories, leading to you even opening up about your bad day a bit. As you two talked, it got later into the evening, and soon you caught yourself stifling a yawn.

“Oh wow,” you checked the time on your phone. “It’s getting late.”

“Why don’t you go get ready for bed?” Hyeongjun proposed. “I’ll clean up our dishes and you go get comfortable. I’ll make sure to come back to your room and wish you good night before I leave.”

As Hyeongjun stood from the couch and began to collect your dishes, you tried to muster up the courage to ask him a question that’s been on the back of your mind since you texted him and asked to see him.

“Hyeongjun?”

“Hmm?”

“Can you…” you played with your hands, avoiding his eyes. “Can you stay the night, please? I don’t want to be alone.” Hyeongjun could feel his face burning. “You don’t have to if you aren’t comfortable with that,” you quickly added on. “I’ll be okay.”

Hyeongjun quickly moved your dishes out to the sink and was right back by your side in the blink of an eye.

“If you don’t want to be alone, I’ll stay with you,” he said simply. “Let’s go get ready for bed.” With a relieved smile, you lead him back to your room, lending him some of the clothes that you had stolen from him in the past and were now holding hostage in your drawers.

As you both got ready for bed, Hyeongjun would be lying if he said his mind wasn’t racing. Yes, you two have shared a bed in the past, but that was only for things like movie nights, or cuddle sessions that ended up turning into shared naps- but you’ve never spent a full night together. Your relationship wasn’t “new,” this was just a step the two of you somehow haven’t taken yet due to schedule conflicts. He was always up late, and you had to be up early. As he was lost in his thoughts, you returned to your bedroom, now being done with your nighttime routine.

“I’m getting into bed,” you announced. “The bathroom is open if you need it.”

You crawled into bed and got under the covers as Hyeongjun quickly went to use the bathroom. Once he came back, he turned off your light and made his way towards the mattress.

As he joined you under the covers, you made yourselves comfortable. You nestled yourself beside him, and he lightly wrapped his arms around your frame as you let out a content sigh.

“Is this okay?” Hyeongjun asked. “Are you comfortable?”

“Mhm,” you respond, fighting away sleep. “Thank you for coming over so late.”

“Of course.”

You pulled yourself closer to him, and Hyeongjun did the same. He hoped you couldn’t feel the way his heart was racing as you laid your head on his chest. So many thoughts were going through his head. He was the one you turned to after a bad day. He was the one you trusted to keep you safe and comfort you. He wished he could do this every night, hold you close like this in your dimly lit bedroom- the only source of light being the moon peeking through your blinds. He wanted to fall asleep with you in his arms, keeping you right by his side until morning. Despite his nerves, Hyeongjun wasn’t sure how he’s spent his whole life sleeping alone.

“Good night,” you announced to him quietly as sleep took over. Heyongjun snapped out of his thoughts and moved a hand to your hair, raking his fingers through it. “I love you.”

“I love you too, honey. Good night.” Soon enough, Hyeongjun followed in your footsteps and fell asleep, drifting off as he thought about waking up to you in the morning.

Layla’s POV

I walk on the sidewalk, face straight ahead and trying to blend out the many tourists and strangers hurrying to get to their destination. With me I have my guitar case with my most prized possession.

“Excuse me, miss?”, a manly voice said, causing me to stop in your tracks. “Yeah?”, I answered, meeting a friendly looking face. A man with unruly wild brown looks, brown eyes und little shy smile looks at me and meets me eyes. “Do you mind being interviewed for my social media account? I ask strangers a few questions about different topics and post them on my Instagram and TikTok account”, the man asked.

“Oh hi, why me?“, I answer nervously, instantly wondering if he recognized me from my music or family. “You just looked really interesting to me and you have a beautiful aura“, he chuckles, gesturing with a camera in his hands. Thinking for a couple of seconds I finally respond:“Okay, thank you and why not. Are you famous or something?“ “I have a couple of thousands followers, but that should not pressure you. Is it okay to be asked about your love life?“, he replies back. I was taken aback a bit. Sure, my relationship was never a secret, more an open secret. In interviews, I never allow to be interviewed about my private life. And if, I always manage to get around the question and answer vaguely. But, discussing the topic of our relationship, rising fame and turbulent lifestyle made us realize, that we can’t live with the privacy we once had.

Knowing that probably a few fans will see the mans video I reply:“Sure, I like being interviewed. Just please don’t ask uncomfortable questions”, I laugh, tucking a strand of my dark hair behind my ear. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you“, the mystery man replies and sets his camera to get ready to film. I quickly come to conclusion that he doesn’t know me and just wants to be nice. “We should get to a quieter spot if you don’t mind”, he says, noticing the passing strangers around us. After getting ready to film his video the man asks:”Ready?“ “Yes, let’s go“, I smile.

“What is the name of your first love and why did you fall in love with them?“

Immediately smiling I look into the camera and say:“Well, that’s easy to answer. The first person I ever felt romantically love towards is someone I grew up with back in my hometown. He was always special to me and one day I came home from his house and ran to my mum and confessed her, that I fell in love with him. And she just laughed and knew it all along. She just was shocked that it took me so long to realize. We both grew up in a very musical household, played instruments, listening to music and just been together our whole life. I was probably around 14 years“. My heart grows warm from remembering about the past. “What’s his name and what happened after knowing that you loved him?“, he questions once again.

“His name is Jake“, I finally respond to his first question. “And I kept it for a secret for a few months and then confessed it when I was drunk to my best friends, who happen to be his younger brother and his best friend. They were taken aback a bit, but came to conclusion that it just made sense“, I laugh a little, remembering Sam’s and Danny’s face.

“Did you tell him?“, the man asks. “First, I didn’t. I just thought that he would never picture me differently than as his little brothers girl best friend. Not in a million years I thought that he loved me back. His twin brother was the person who encouraged me to tell him“, I tell him. For me, in the end Josh was the reason we found to each other. “So, you confessed it to him” - “Yeah. Well we both did”, I replied, not wanting to tell the whole story. ”What happened after that to the both of you?“

“I married him. Long story short. And that’s the best thing that has ever happened to me”, I tell him, holding my hand with my wedding ring up. “You did?! Wow, that’s amazing. Where is he now?“ - “He is a musician and is in a band with his brothers. They are on tour right now”, their Dreams in Gold Tour just started and I couldn’t be prouder of the boys. “What is he playing?“, the man questions further. “Guitar. We both are, I’m a musician too“, I smile to him and his camera and show my guitar case.

“What’s your name?“ - “Layla, and yours?“, I raise my hand to shake his. “Hunter, nice to meet you“ - “Nice to meet you too, Hunter.“

Layla is no longer a stranger.

Yuri's Route is the shortest in the game and only has half the maximum points that can be achieved compared to the other characters.

Completing Yuri's Route triggers the end game (Climax)

Each character gets to do a "Next Episode" Preview. Here is Luna's. Yusa has to speak in Bunninglish for the English Episode Title (as does everyone else).

His version of "See ya!" is "THANATOS NO KOE WO KIKOE" (naturally).

More Extras:

Kiriri went back to try for different results in Yuri's Route. Apparently denying Barnaby's request for points does NOT max out that stat (Stunned by Barnaby's True Intentions).

Kyou Kara Maou! S images

So, they announced last year in January that MaruMA was getting a new manga series called "Kyou Kara Maou! S" that was supposed to come out last summer but it never did, I don't think they ever said why it just didn't happen? I haven't been playing enough attention to this series though. They've just published a few pictures on comicbushi and I swear I was looking at the past pictures a few days ago when they posted chapter 0 for Yuuri's birthday that I just translated but now they've taken them down so I had to search the internet to try to find backups of them... I think I found them all? lol

They might not be the best quality anymore but I didn't think about downloading them when they were still up a few days ago. Since I didn't see that they were going to expire and they had been up for months.

Maybe now that they've published chapter 0 they'll actually start publishing the series.

There's also a short story from Takabayashi that they published for new years that I've been meaning to translate up on the comicbushi website but I saved that months ago I just need to work on it lol.

I also have 2 drama cds that came out in 2018 and 2019 that I am planning on translating soon too.

So here's the translations for these images

The first one of Yuuri and Wolf was published in January 2021 when they announced they were making a new series and it says

"It's still a bit in the future but please look forward to it~! (Matsumoto Temari: artist)

I thought about what the "S" stands for. Going in order of sa, shi, su, se, so: Surprise! Hot water (Sapuraizu! Sayu), Short! Shishamo (Shoto! Shishamo), Setup! Alderfly (Settoappu! Sennpuri), Sword and Sheild! Soumen (Sodo and Shirudo! Soumen). Choose whichever you like! (Takabayashi Tomo: Writer) "

Malinois Rescue Ranch Crisis Assistance

I know that everyone is really tapped out right now in the way of funds and fundraising and such, but if folks could even just share this... It's something that's pretty near and dear to me. While most of all y'all out there really don't know me as anything other than a faceless entity on the computer box, I can personally vouch for this effort, as I have folks I know and have worked with before assisting in Tennessee. This is real, and it's just awful.

In McKenzie, Tennessee, there was a "rescue" called Malinois Rescue Ranch. Once upon a time, they did decent work... but then the owners got addicted to drugs, and everything just... stopped getting done. Well, everything except collecting more dogs. These individuals have finally been stopped, and the "facility" shut down and the dogs are being evaluated, treated, and fostered/adopted out to *reputable* places right now... But there's no actual organizations doing most of the work. There's a couple of organizations "helping", but the bulk of the effort and costs have fallen onto a single vet clinic that has taken responsibility for the 28 dogs that they hope they can save. (Some of the dogs from the MRR have already had to be put down upon evaluation because they were in such terrible shape, including one dog that had literally had his feet rotting off his body after being forced to stand in urine and feces over his pasterns. it's... I can't. it's so wretched and awful)

NW TN Veterinary is handling all the dogs, but they are quite literally a tiny little vet practice in a tiny little town, so any donations to help offset all of this vet care and materials being used would be of tremendous help. Call them direct to make a donation. And if you, like me, cannot afford to donate, please signal boost, pass it along. Just... just don't forget the TWs when you do, please, because I'm not editing out the description of the dog who was put down... This isn't a case of "Oh, this rescue got overwhelmed and now have too many dogs." This is a case of "This 'rescue' ceased caring for the dogs they had and these dogs are dying, have died, or are in dire straights." Don't go looking for pictures unless you have a pretty thick skin and firm constitution.

the following may - jeju car pic that came from DC Gallery first, as did the leaked flight schedule that was not real. (It was spread by jkkrs. A leaked groupchat showed they had plans to do anything to get Taehyung away from Jungkook.) Taehyung was in Seoul. He had gone earlier to a jeju with his friends, and came back before festa was filmed. Then they went to the White House.

august/september - GH emerges and creates chaos as they spin up the most bizarre stories. It’s worth noting that one picture that dropped from the other account showing various idols was one of Taehyung in Jeju in a pool, by himself, supposedly taken by one of his friends he went with. Had this person not dropped the pics, GH would’ve used it to further embellish the jeju timeline that never made any real sense. But Taehyung came forward on the radio show and told us who he went with.

up until december, the situation reads as one started by a group who got their hands on content they shouldn’t have had access to, and they used it to create and fake narratives as they pleased for attention, but got caught up in it until the inconsistencies and made up timelines became obvious and they each turned on each other. The company intervened following their usual procedure and when the lawsuit dropped there was silence.

last month however reads to me as one orchestrated by the company because management is involved and it is textbook pap walk.

Yeah, that does seem likely.

It looks like the company did react within a reasonable time and they just thought the first Jeju pic was going to blow over.

So what seems logical is that YG and Hybe saw the potential. One of them reached out (possibly YG, but it could also have been Hybe.. since BTS’s solo era might make them take a different road) and they decided to push the narrative a bit further. I do now wonder if we’ll get more though. I’m quite interested in seeing how the next few weeks will go.

First Thursday in October

It’s been a good day. This morning I ran up to Walgreen’s and sat down for my flu shot and a COVID booster.  This was the view from my seat as I waited...

Is that just seasonal decor or can I bring the family up and use it for our Christmas card photo backdrop?  The grandgirl would love that.   Anywho, got a shot in each arm and received instructions to wait fifteen minutes before leaving.  No problem. I had a coupon I was itching to use so I grabbed a basket and picked up a couple things.

If you see a 59 year old woman with purple and black Halloween nails, mind your own business.  I wait all year for this month I intend to enjoy it head to toe.

I popped by the post office and sent a box of earrings off to my sister.  I’m late with it but she’ll still have twenty days to enjoy the Halloween bits and another month after that to use the autumn leaves and pumpkins. Here’s what I’ve been cutting, cooking, and putting together...

I keep the wonky ones and give away the ones that aren’t as bad.  It’s been months since I’ve worked with clay and I’m rusty.  It was still fun.  Any day spent creating with these two for company is a good day.

They think everything I do is wonderful. I could hold up a pair of sweaty socks tied together with a bow and they’d swear they love it.  I make something, show it to them and say, “What do you think?” and I always get a rousing response.  Of course, it’s the same response I get when I say, “Want a treat?” or “Ready for bed?”  Everyone should have a fan club.  You can see in that picture that I had the windows open today - we’re enjoying such nice weather, cool in the mornings, pleasant in the afternoons. We had a glorious string of chilly, rainy days and I confess I was a little disappointed by today’s sunny and warm forecast.  Chillier, please. I’m seeing more colorful leaves in the trees, on the driveway and in the yard.  They’re truly works of art. Look at this beauty!

Have I mentioned how much I’m loving my craft room?  It is perfect.  It’s the first thing I see when I come downstairs each morning and, I have to admit, it inspires me.

There’s still a bit to do, like a quote for the front of the desk, and a bit of foo-foo here and there, but I like it.    I tried to make a video to share with you but I’m very, very bad at videos. This was my attempt.  It will either make you seasick or annoy you with odd, unexplained noises.

For some reason I felt the need to zoom in on that little library mouse print.  I was probably going to gush over the frame, another barn sale find from Tennessee. It used to be in the grandgirl’s room in Mt. Juliet, framing a map of NeverLand.  She prefers it over (as she calls it) “the cozy chair.”  Over on the top of the cabinet that holds all of my art supplies I repurposed a bird cage that once held plants on the porch. I just stuffed a fake plant in there.  It’s not perfect, but I’ll figure it out. It works for now.  But enough about that room.  Just because it makes me happy doesn’t mean anyone else is interested.  We still have plenty to do in this house.

In the video you may have noticed that the stair bannisters are still that orangey wood. Ugh.  They clash with the new floors.  The plan is to eventually rip up the awful carpet on those stairs and just have them stained or painted.  We’ll do the railings then too. Until then I’ll have to ignore it.  The upstairs bathroom floors also have to go.  They are currently a really cheap and ugly sheet vinyl.  I’ve got nothing against vinyl flooring, but this stuff is not well done and it’s not in fabulous shape.  I do like that it’s neutral, and that’s about the only nice thing I can think of to say about it.  In the Halloween bathroom it’s in slightly better condition than in the master bath.  I haven’t done a whole lot in the master bath yet.  I’ve got our ruffled shower curtain from TN in there, a couple of sage throw rugs in front of the double vanity (more orange wood), and one “art” piece hung on a wall beside a window. I’m too lazy to go upstairs and get a picture of it, it’s just a cute painted tin floral thing.  It works in the space.  BUT, this week I added a little something new.  The toilet in that bathroom sits in a little alcove and it’s quite plain.  I’ve eyeballed it and wondered if I should put a couple of floating shelves there and add a plant , some TP, and a candle or a couple of knickknacks. Nothing felt right. So I did what I always do and decided I’d come up with a little something, print it, frame it, and hang it.   It’s a start, right?  I’m pleased with it, and feel it adds a bit of levity to the room.

It’s not finished.  I placed it a little high because I’d like to add a tray to the tank and put a plant, candle, whatever there.  You get the idea.

Maybe a shelf would look better. I think I’m Team Shelf.

As I say so often, I’ll figure it out. So that’s what I’ve been up to - painting stuff, making stuff, printing stuff, decorating stuff, still trying to Nancify it up around here.  After a summer that rocked me a bit, I feel like I’m finally getting my groove back.  No surprise that I’m reborn in the fall.

Net week Matt arrives for a quick visit before attending a conference in D.C.  Rumor has it there may be a family trip to the Renaissance Fair that weekend.  After that the mister and I will be escaping to Chincoteague where the wild ponies play. It’s only about an hour from us, so an easy drive.  Assateague (Maryland) and Chincoteague (Virginia) sort of all run together and Assateague is supposedly one of the best spots in the world to get night sky and Milky Way photos. That’s what’s shakin’ here on our patch of the Eastern Shore.  I’m vaxxed against everything but the plague, I’m staying busy, we have plenty to look forward to, and fall is in the air.  It’s good, it’s all good.

Aurora and Declan had just gotten home from a week in Dubai for Aurora’s birthday with all of their closest friends and family. After arriving back home the two were excited to be back in the comfort of their own home with their little girl, Taya. Declan had planned a small picnic at the park a few blocks from their home, but that wasn’t all he had planned. While the two were at the park he had his older brother, Damien at their house to help set up the surprise Declan had for Aurora. 

Not long later the three of them, Declan, Aurora and Taya headed back to their home to relax for the rest of the evening, well… that’s what Aurora thought. 

The moment she walked into the home there were rose petals on the floor leading her way to the back yard. She was instructed to head into the back yard with Taya, seeing a projector screen hanging against the fence with candles lit around the yard. The petals on the floor lead to more rose petals in the shape of a heart. Declan had spent the whole week prior getting all her closest friends and family to leave messages and pictures of memories they had together which was then put into a slide show. 

Aurora had no idea about anything that this man had planned. She thought this was just the way he was ending her birthday week, with kind messages from all her close friends and family. Once the slideshow had ended she had turned around to find Declan on his knee in front of her. 

Declan’s point of view 

Declan pulled out a silver necklace, a heart hanging off it with three little diamonds resting on its shape. 

“Taya, I hope you know princess that I love you with all of my heart and from the moment that I met you, I knew that I would dedicate my life to being by your side with every step you take. From the moment I met you, I knew that I wanted to be your father. You’re such a courageous, beautiful little girl and I want nothing more than to watch you grow up knowing that you have a dad who loves you.” 

As Declan spoke, he was doing his best not to choke up on his words but this little girl meant the world to him. He then took the time to place the necklace around Taya’s neck before taking a moment to take a deep breath.

Doing his best to hold his ground, Declan pulled out a ring box. Finding every ounce of courage to raise his head, Declan locked eyes with the beautiful blonde. 

“Rory, my sweet, sweet girl. You have been the brightest little thing in my life that I never knew I needed. For the longest time, I have felt so scrambled and out of place. I never knew what it was that I wanted to do with my life and I didn’t quite understand the type of man that I wanted to be. I was sort of living every day, not caring where I would end up. That all changed the moment I kissed you for the first time. That kiss breathed life into me where I suddenly felt like I wanted to be the very best version of myself. I wanted to become a man worthy enough to be loved by you. Ever since you trusted me with your heart, I have become a man I don’t quite recognize and I mean that in the best way possible. I feel like I am capable of the things I wouldn’t have dared to attempt before I met you. I can look at myself in the mirror and be proud of the person that your love has turned me into. I look at you and I see my family, my future, and my home. You and Taya are who I think of when I picture my happy place. I will spend a lifetime doing right by our family and making sure that you two are truly happy and cared for. Please, my love, will you make me the luckiest man in the world and marry me?” 

Finally, Declan opened the box to show the rectangle shaped diamond that sat on top of the ring with smaller diamonds evenly placed around it.

Aurora’s point of view 

Her heart felt like it was going to explode, her body was frozen and unable to move for a few seconds. She listened to his kind words he said to Taya. There was truly no man in this entire world she would rather have as Taya’s father figure, he treated her as his own and she really couldn’t ask for anything more.

Once Declan placed the necklace around Taya’s neck she watched him shift his attention to herself, a large gulp fell down her throat. Her bright green eyes beamed down into his eyes, listening to every word he said. Those tears that she had previously had resurfaced and were now streaming down her cheeks. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she nodded her head with a smile across her face. “In no world would I ever say no. Yes, yes, yes and yes! In every multiverse, yes!” 

She practically yelled that final yes. Aurora held her shaking hand out so he could slide the ring onto her finger. 

“Kiss me, please!” She said with a small laugh, waiting for the male to stand back to his feet. Her arms wrapped around his neck quickly, standing on her tippy toes as she kissed him deeply.
