Double sonic booms welcome Fidel Castro’s Soviet friend 💥💥
When Ronald Reagan became our 40th president, he adopted a far more robust attitude toward the Soviet Union, Cuba, and other wayward states, and this was reflected in a more bullish way that the SR 71 operations were conducted. The United States flew regular missions against Cuba during this time in the program, but the vast majority were flown using our high-resolution radar. It had the capacity to photograph anything on the island and enable us to remain in international waters.
David Peters, SR 71 pilot, describes one mission. This mission was flown as a daytime overflight using our optical cameras. This mission had a very specific time over target TOT of 10 AM local and a particular target the airport, Jose Marti International Airport. We took off around 4:30 AM Beale Air Force Base, California time in order to hit our TOT on time. My RSO Ed Bethard was closely monitoring our progress, we adjusted our speed to ensure we would arrive on time. We flew right down the middle of the island straight across the airport to the end of the island where we made a big 90/270 turn streak back up the island from the east-west again going over the airport.
Imagine if you will Castro’s thoughts when he heard the unmistakable double sonic, boom boom of the SR 71 not once, but twice as he welcomed his Soviet guest at the Cuban airport!
Well done Dave and Ed!

a bit ago @nevermindirah and i had a very serious scholarly discussion about who among kiki and matthias' film roles should kiss. it's kind of difficult because both of them have played a lot of people who truly Went Through It in a way not conducive to frivolous nonsense, but we gave it our best try. i made a chart:
Tumblr media
now it's true that kiki has not yet played storm and matthias escaped playing batman, but if you believe you can do anything, imagination is the key etc.
we don't know dandelion (dandelion) yet but the music connection makes kissing paul (a bigger splash) obvious. he seems loyal(ish, author is dead etc) and he cries, what more could she ask for
nile & booker is obvious and inarguable. i can't remember why there's a (2) there. comics booker? dirah help.
we went with margaret (don't worry darling) and peter (brothers by blood) because he's large and there'd be some interesting class stuff to explore. probably.
ellie (chip n dale) and gene (our souls at night) are some of the more normal of this group (even accepting the chipmunks), we envisioned them watching tv together and presumably making out on the couch. jane fonda probably approves.
meeka (coming 2 america) and vincent (disorder) is obvious. lots of sexually tense brawling and pinning down and such. the physicality is compelling. highly erotic.
bessie (native son) and gabriel (far from the madding crowd) is wholly a 'who can we give to bessie to give her a nice pleasant time. gabriel as the soft sheep boy seemed like the clear option. now there is some culture/chronology clash but they can work it out i think. note the sheep which is a highly important aspect. also less sensical but we decided to have bessie and roman (the mustang) be besties because i'm not sure i remember why. but i think it's cute. bessie needs hugs and in this fanciful little universe roman is capable of giving slightly horse-scented hugs.
tish (if beale street could talk) and olivia (veracity) are out of the equation here due to being happily partnered and into women respectively but they are on this chart anyway because. just because. gigi (le fidèle) is here for similar reasons, being an Xtreme Wife Guy.
matthias has a more extensive filmography than kiki sadly so we kind of went a little off the deep end at this point. django (django) and andré (a little chaos) are NOT from the same time period but are nevertheless paired because they fit into generically historical wig time, and they'd both benefit from some sweaty weird clone sex. probably. don't question it. it's true that andre is also happily partnered but something something libertine free love french hedonism something something. idk.
roman and ali (rust and bone) form a fight club due to being remarkable examples of meat and who (would) benefit from throwing their bodies at other men. it doesn't need to be sexual but can be if desired. jacky (bullhead) needs an incredible amount of care so why not let him hang out with a literal saint, st peter (the way of the wind). neither dirah or i know much about this topic but we went on the assumption that a literal heavenly being might be able to help the tragically in need of help jacky. the second peter is there for humorous name reasons but also he's had a lot of family related trauma so he and jacky could maybe bond somehow. not really romantic but if they want to i'm not going to judge.

400 years later the poet Andrew McMillan investigates Michelangelo's poems, talking to Dr Ambra Moroncini, who, as Senior Lecturer, teaches them at the University of Sussex; to Professor Konrad Eisenbichler who, as well as literature, taught a course on sexuality and gender in the Renaissance at the University of Toronto.
Colin Matthews, who was Benjamin Britten's assistant, talks about his 'Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo'. The composer's setting was a love gift to his partner, Peter Pears.
McMillan discovers growing interest in Michelangelo's poems today, especially among queer writers. Alex Cocker has just published 'Say, Spirit' in which they make versions of the sonnets, each three times, in the voices of three imagined translators.
They all talk of Michelangelo - the poet - and we hear his poems, translated by James M. Saslow, read by Sir Simon Russell Beale.

Hi Catspawzz, you are the premium person for information ( stalking) about Ben. Is there any new information about him filming or auditioning for a film? I know he will be in Unicorns ( can't wait ) but has nothing happened concerning Apteros? Also it was incrementally slow to get a date for At First Sight, finally in September ( it's been two years ) .He was also doing a bit of modeling before , do you think he's too old,( only 32 ) for the designers to want him.? still very handsome. Is he more popular in the UK? Just miss seeing posts about him. BTW, I think you are a beautiful intelligent woman. Not an “old woman “ at all like that anon stated. But you know that, you have such wonderful self confidence! ❤️
Oh wow, thank you for all the compliments 🤭 and don't worry, I don't feel like an old woman at all 😉
Unfortunately, I don't have any updates on Ben's projects but I assume he's been auditioning? Maybe we'll hear something soon. Not sure what's up with Apteros at this point tbh, whether it's been cancelled or just pushed back. We're gonna have to wait and see. As for Love at First Sight, well, I'm just glad it will be released at all coz I was losing hope 🙊 but Netflix postponed a lot of movie releases originally set for last year so maybe that delay doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the movie sucks (though I'm afraid it might, like all YA rom-coms) 💀 We'll see.
I know Ben did some modelling in the past but I don't think he's interested in that tbh. He also used to attend fashion shows but that also stopped and frankly, I think it's Ben's choice not to attend those anymore. I mean, there are plenty of D-listers and no-names still getting invited to those shows so I can't imagine why Ben wouldn't? Same with modelling. I feel like maybe he wants to be seen as a serious actor and also this whole glamour side of the showbiz is not his cup of tea, and now he feels confident enough to say no to the things he doesn't enjoy? That's how I see it at least 👀
And lastly, not sure if he's more popular in the UK coz I don't live there but I'd say yes? I mean, his biggest role to date was Roger Taylor and yeah, BoRhap was a global success and all but his Peter Beale was a fixture in the Brits' lives for 2 years so...🤷🏻‍♀️

Our heroes:  Reunite a retired Gunnery Sergeant and her Master Sergeant dog.
What important things did we learn about:
Callen: Speaking to Nate about his Hetty issues and not in a patient-psychologist way. Sam:  Searching for his father. Kensi:  Crashing the Audi for a good reason. Deeks:  In court today. Fatima: Steering clear of the cyber tower when Shyla is around. Rountree: Leaving the incident with the police to the legal people and moving on.  Until he isn’t Kilbride:  Knows about the Drona project but not in a way that can help Callen.
What not so important things did we learn about:
Callen: Willing to do some deep dives into his memories. Sam:  Selling the Michelle. Kensi:  Married her furry partner. Deeks:  Did show Rountree “Hair” – even sang the songs. Fatima:  Beginning to sound like the Admiral and isn’t concerned about it. Rountree: Didn’t have a TV much as a kid. Kilbride:  Doesn’t like hanging on.
Where in the world is Henrietta Lange?  Telling Nate only what she needs him to know while in Syria.
Who's down with OTP:  Hopefully absence is making the heart go fonder as Kensi works with Sam and Deeks is in court.  Deeks did earn a mention as Kensi’s furry partner.
Who's down with BrOTP:  Mary and Boomer were quite the team.
Fashion review:  Callen is wearing a blue-green button down shirt.  Black long-sleeve tee for Sam.  Kensi is wearing a blue and white sweater.  Deeks is in court.  Fatima has on a white henley over a maroon turtleneck.  Rountree is wearing a beige sweater.  As usual, a dark blue three-piece suit for Kilbride with a light blue dress shirt and a red plaid tie.
Music:  “Oceans” by Svvarms was playing in the teaser.
Any notable cut scene:  No.
Quote:  Kilbride:  “The, request that you filed under the Freedom of Information Act has been denied.” Callen:  “Huh. How did this come across your desk? This was a private and personal inquiry. Why was it denied?” Kilbride:  “Use your imagination.” Callen:  “'Cause of you?” Kilbride:  “No. This is above my pay grade. "Exemption 1, the requested "information is classified to protect national security." “ Callen:  “They're gonna hide behind national security?” Kilbride:  “They're funny that way. I know that this is a big disappointment for you and that you would very much like to speak with Henrietta about her involvement in the Drona program.” Callen:  “So, you do know about it.” Kilbride:  “I know of it... but not to the extent to help you find the answers I believe you're looking for.”
Anything else:  In a nice residential neighborhood, a woman parks her SUV in her driveway.  She has some takeout for dinner.  Walking into her home, the lights are not working.  She starts calling for “Boomer” but finds the living room a mess – glass from a broken window, tipped over desk chair.  Pulling out a gun, she walks through the home like a law enforcement officer would.  A dog toy startles her.  Looking in the dining room, her back door is opened.  Calling 9-1-1, the woman calls in the break in and says there has been a kidnapping.
Working in the firing range, Rountree has fired a lot of rounds.  Dozens and dozens of casings litter the floor.  Fatima arrives and starts talking to Rountree.  She gets mostly one-syllable, one word answers and mentions that to Rountree.  Rountree thinks that sounds like something the Admiral would say.  Fatima agrees.  Rountree asks if they have a case.  With Shyla working with them, Fatima is “steering clear of the cyber tower” (like that) so she doesn’t know.
Fatima asks Rountree if he wants to talk.  As someone who suffered a real trauma, she knows what it is like but Rountree is having none of it.  He’s put what happened behind him.  “I’m good.”  He tells her the incident is someone else’s “legal problem.”  Fatima thinks that’s fine but wonders why the firing range looks like “Assault on Precinct 13”.  Rountree is unfamiliar with the film.  Fatima asks if Rountree even had a television as a kid.  “Most of the time, no.”  Fatima wants to add it to the list of movies he should see.  Rountree is out on that plan.  Deeks made him watch “Hair” and sang every song.  “That was more traumatizing than ‘Get Out’.”  Fatima thinks Rountree will suffer a more traumatizing event if Kilbride sees the mess he made in the firing range.  Rountree goes to find a broom.
A jilted Callen walks into the bullpen.  Sam stood him up but is sitting in the office.  Callen is annoyed he was stood up because Sam arrived to the office early to get the Admiral’s parking spot.  Sam reminds Callen it is nobody’s parking spot but Callen thinks the Admiral does not share that opinion.  Sam has already apologized.  Callen feels Sam hates his driving.  “With every fiber of my being.”
Callen thinks Sam did not go home that night.  Seems Sam keeping company with an Endocrinologist.  He’s also seeing a stunt woman and a bartender.  He’s not hooking up with any of them, calling Callen a “frat boy”.  Callen and Sam banter before Sam admits he’s selling the boat ($583,000).  Sam’s dad can’t live on his own anymore so Sam is buying a house so they can live together.  Sam has not told his father this so Callen thinks Sam’s doing thing backwards.  Callen asks about Sam’s father, who has “had better days.”  The senior Hanna won’t go in for any testing to see what’s wrong.  Sam calls him stubborn.  Callen thinks like father like son before offering to help.  Sam asks if his father could move in with Callen.
Shyla arrives in the bullpen with news that the Admiral would like to see Callen.  She notices the boat for sale and likes it.  After Sam makes a gentle pitch, Shyla tells him she’s a “city mouse” and is looking for a two-bedroom inland.
Arriving in the Admiral’s office, Callen is told his FOIA request was denied.  Callen is surprised that his private and personal inquiry wound up in the Admiral’s hands.  Asking why it was denied, Callen is told “use your imagination”.  Callen asks if the Admiral put a stop to his request but is told it is above the Admiral’s paygrade.  Reading the denial, Callen is annoyed the government is denying it because of National Security.  The Admiral knows about the Drona project but not to the extent that would provide Callen the answers he needs.
Turning the NCIS business, the agency’s CYBER unit has been working around the clock on Katya’s deep fakes.  There is a now a “security perimeter” around Callen’s digital life so if Katya makes a move, CYBER can shut her down.  Finally, the Admiral wants Callen to see Nate later that day.  With all that is going on around Callen, the Admiral wants to make sure the team is working at peak performance.  Callen says he doesn’t need Nate for that.  The Admiral mentions Nate’s work with Hetty in Syria as a profiler.  With Deeks in court today, Sam can partner with Kensi and Callen can talk to Nate.  “Take as much time as you need.”  Callen is grateful.
In Ops, Fatima and Rountree join Shyla.  On the big screen is retired USMC Gunnery Sergeant Mary Smith, the woman whose home was broken into in the teaser.  Returning from the gym, she found recently retired Marine Master Sergeant Boomer Hayes was kidnapped.  Rountree thinks Boomer has to be a nickname, nobody is named Boomer (CBS Sports Boomer Esiason would disagree).  Putting up Boomer Hayes’s Marine ID on the big board, Boomer is a dog.
Confused, Fatima isn’t sure why they are looking for missing pet.  Shyla explains Boomer is a MWD – a Military Working Dog.  Rountree thinks he’s being punked.  The arriving Admiral assures Rountree this is no joke.  The team will be looking for someone who kidnapped a Marine Corps Master Sergeant.  Sam and Kensi are about to talk to Mary Smith.  The Admiral wants Fatima and Rountree to check out the crime scene.
In the boatshed, Smith is talking about her relationship with Boomer.  The two worked together in the Marines.  When they both retired, Smith was allowed to adopt Boomer.  The two have worked for the LA  Sheriff’s Department for two years with some private sector jobs.  Smith thinks the MWDs are brilliant.  She also thinks her ex-boyfriend Dennis may be behind this.  Dennis was jealous of Boomer – they never bonded.  Trying not to worry or let her thoughts get away from her, Smith is still concerned.  Kensi asks if he would hurt the dog.  Smith knows of divorces where a fight over the family pet ends with the loser having the animal put down.  With Smith near tears, Sam promises that if Dennis has the dog, they will get Boomer back.
In Nate’s very Zen office, Callen is waiting because a Nate patient needs a pep talk to get on a plane.  Showing off the office, Nate asks what Callen thinks.  “It’s a lot nicer than your old broom closet at OSP.”  He compares the place to a day spa.   Nate likes that comparison.  He wants his patients to feel relaxed and safe.  Sitting, Nate asks how Callen is doing.  Since he’s doing well, very well, Callen is more interested in what Nate knows about Hetty.  Nate warns Callen as he well knows, he only knows what Hetty wants him to know.  Callen knows that.
Looking around Smith’s home, Rountree is figuring how the dognapers got in.  Cutting off the power wouldn’t stop Smith’s security system, which has back-up power.  They had to circumvent the alarm.  This is not a smash and grab thief.   Plus a highly trained “Master Sergeant” wouldn’t be easy to kidnap.  Rountree has an issue with calling the dog “Master Sergeant” but Fatima is only calling him by his rank.   Boomer would have protected the home unless he knew who was coming in and liked who was coming in.
Rountree posits that some food tossed into the house with a sedative would make Boomer easier to handle.  That makes more sense – get in the house using the window near the desk in the living room but getting out with a sedated dog would be tough.  It would be easier to slide the 60-75 pound dog out the back door.  This would have be to a very strong dognaper or a two person job.  And there would also have to be a muzzle.  Nobody wants a trained military dog waking up mid-kidnapping.  Knowing when Smith arrived home, Fatima is going to backtrack vehicles in the area to see who took Boomer.
While Kensi questions Dennis in interrogation, Sam and Smith watch on the main room plasma TV.  Smith admits that Boomer not liking Dennis was proof he was a better judgement of character than she was.  Dennis explains that Boomer didn’t like him because he was a Taurus and Boomer was an Aries or maybe because he was sleeping with Smith, or maybe because he’s a dog who can’t walk on two feet.  Smith is outraged at what an idiot Dennis is – Boomer is a Sagittarius.
Back in interrogation, Kensi pushes back, maybe Dennis was jealous of Boomer.  No.  He blames Mary for finding out he had a secret relationship with Boomer and killed him for it.  Sam is annoyed Dennis isn’t taking this seriously.  Smith tells him Dennis doesn’t take anything seriously.  Kensi thinks Dennis used the dog to get back at Smith for dumping him.  Dennis denies Smith dumped him.  Smith tells Sam she kicked him out and he knows it.
Apologizing for his sarcasm, Dennis points out he is doing all this without a lawyer.  If NCIS is going to keep wasting his time and theirs by thinking he took Boomer, he’s lawyering up.  Kensi asks where is the dog.  Since he’s not “Ace Ventura, Pet Detective”, Dennis has no idea.  With Boomer is a retired MWD, he’s given all the benefits of being a Marine.  Dennis is tired of hearing about Marine Boomer.  Besides, if Boomer as was smart as everyone thought, he probably ran away.  Smith tells Sam that everyone who met Boomer, loved him.  “Except the criminals you’d catch.”
Reviewing the work done by Smith and Boomer, Shyla finds them to be a formidable team.  As a team, they’ve taken over $300-million worth of drugs off the streets.  The Admirals finds this a good reason to kidnap the dog.  Shyla disagrees – it is a good reason to kill the dog.  Poison Boomer, try a drive-by shooting.  With his training, Boomer could be used to get drugs from other criminals.  Shyla points out that so much of any military or law enforcement dog’s success has to do with their relationship with their handler, the Admiral agrees but the dognapers are not “geniuses who will find out the hard way that a Marine is not someone you want to tangle with whether he’s got two legs or four.”
Sam and Kensi question Smith about her work with Boomer for the Sheriff’s Department.  By getting a lot of drugs off the street, Smith and Boomer cost a lot of criminals a lot of money.  “People have been killed for far less,” according to Sam.  Kensi tries to find a sunnier side – maybe he was just grabbed because he’s a beautiful dog and people steal expensive breeds.  Smith talks about maybe the dog being held for ransom when Sam gets a call from his dad (with the photo on Sam’s phone being the Marine’s logo).
Taking the call in interrogation, Sam’s father says he got turned around and is lost.  Sam asks if his father is driving.  He’s not in the car now – he’s walking around.  Sam’s dad is lost with all the new construction around him.  He doesn’t recognized any of the new buildings.  Concerned, Sam asks where is Mrs. Ainsley.  Sam’s dad doesn’t know.  Tamping down his anger, Sam tells his father that Mrs. Ainsley is supposed to be with him.  Sam asks if his father has his keys.  After a few minutes, he found them.  Sam tells his father to find someplace to sit, he’ll get someone to him.  Sam’s dad is going to walk around and look for the car.  Sam wants him to stop talking and stop walking.  “Find a place to sit and stay put.”  Sam’s father is offended by Sam telling him to stop talking and hangs up.  Sam tries to call his father but is put to “The Major”’s voicemail.  Sam tells Kensi he’s going to Ops to find his father.  Kensi is fine handling the case.
Saying he got a cryptic message saying “The game’s afoot”, Nate is explaining his last communications with Hetty.  Callen thinks Sherlock Holmes for the quote but it is really “Henry V”.  Hetty is going after Al Kalmira but Nate hasn’t heard anything since.  Callen shares that Harris Keane was with Hetty and admitted he sent someone to look for Hetty.  Nate wants to know who but Callen goes with a general description of a burned spy.  He’d like Nate to call if Nate hears from Hetty again.
Switching subject, Nate asks about the deep fakes.  Callen doesn’t think they have anything to do with Hetty.  Nate doesn’t either but none of this is extra worry helps Callen.  Callen hasn’t heard anything for Katya since he got the film from the vault.  The deep fakes stopped around the same time.  While Callen thinks the film reels they found has something to do with finding her, he thinks they’ll have more luck if she slips up and they can track her down.
Switching subjects again, Nate asks about the Drona project.  After a question or two, Nate admits the Admiral told him about it.  Callen realizes why he’s really been sent to see Nate.  Callen asks what happens if he walks out.  Nate thinks the Admiral will march him right back.  Callen brings up he has cases and a partner who relies on him.  Nate replies that everyone relies on Callen to operate at the best of his abilities.
Reviewing the locals, Fatima is sure two of Smith’s neighbors are having an affair.  She jogs at the same time as another neighbor leaves the driveway.  She runs around the block, up an alley and into the neighbor’s house.  But there were no suspicious vehicles around the house.  Shyla is monitoring animal shelters in case the dognapers found Boomer too hard to handle.  Kensi arrives.  They ask about Sam.  Kensi fills them in – they all agree it sounds like Sam’s dad has Alzheimer’s.  They think it is tough for Sam.
Going up to Ops, Kensi runs into Shyla, literally.  With Sam, she was able to find his dad but she’s racing to see the Admiral because she found a bounty on Boomer on the dark web.  $10,000 if he’s dead, $25,000 if he’s taken alive.
The Admiral wants CYBER to start tracing who put up the Boomer bounty post.  He also is calling in a personal favor from NSA to get some of their people on it as well.  Kensi points out that finding who posted it doesn’t mean they found who took Boomer.  The Admiral agrees but it will give them the place where the dognapers would take Boomer.
As Kensi makes her way back to the bullpen, Fatima calls her over.  Using doorbell footage, Fatima found a man pushing a shopping cart a block from Smith’s street.  They think this is how they got Boomer out of the area.  They need footage of Boomer being put into a vehicle.
Recalling what he did as part of the Drona project, Callen talks about flashes of memories, “slivers here and there.”   He admits he’s having a hard time figuring what was real and what wasn’t.  Nate tells Callen he spoke to some professional contacts about the project but just as with Callen’s FOIA request, “they threw this one in the vault.”  Callen asks about Kilbride.  Nate assures him that the Admiral is just looking out for the team.  Callen wants to know why he’s being sent to Nate and not the others.  The Admiral is worried about Callen.  Callen asks why and Nate tells the truth:  “He doesn’t want you melting down when you realize you’re the guinea pig of your adoptive mother – his words, not mine.”  Callen finds it harsh and asks what Nate thinks.  Nate thinks Callen deserves the truth of his existence.
In Smith’s neighborhood, Fatima is having no luck finding video footage.  Either the neighbors are out or the ones who are home don’t have the doorbell cameras.  Rountree arrives with a plate of cookies.  An older neighbor insisted and according to Rountree, they are really good.  Rountree offers to share but Fatima thinks he should be doing more than eating cookies.  He has – cookie grandma turned over all the video from her surveillance system.
Going through the video, Shyla sees “the puppy poacher” load Boomer into the back of the SUV.  She tries to get a license plate number but only gets a few letters.  She holds a rather extended conversation with God, providing both sides.  Shyla thinks she’s got this.
Kensi is joined by Fatima and Rountree in an auto shop/warehouse area.  The owner of one of the auto shops may be the one who stole Boomer.  If Boomer has cost the drug dealers millions in business, his $25,000 bounty is a bargain.  Joseph Jones is the person of interest, who has more mug shots than the Kardashian has selfies.  His record is mostly for crimes of profit, not violence.  With no back-up except themselves, Kensi, Fatima and Rountree go in.
Walking into Ops, the Admiral is looking for a sit-rep.  Shyla provides it.  He asks if Shyla wishes she was with them.  “Sometimes,” she replies.  “Me too,” he agrees.
Kensi is going in alone through the back, Fatima and Rountree are at the frontgate.  Making her way through a wall of tires, Kensi gets into the auto shop’s work bay.  She asks for Joseph Jones and says “federal agents”.  He comes out with an acetylene torch as a weapon.  Enough with the federal agents.
As Fatima and Rountree pick the lock to get in through the frontgate, Kensi is struggling with Jones.  The Admiral wants to know what is happening but Fatima gives him a “hang on a minute”.  Exasperated, the Admiral tells Shyla this is what he has to put up with working with the team.  When Jones gets the torch near Kensi, she is able to shut it off.  Fatima and Rountree arrive.  Fatima takes him down with the torch’s cord.  The Admiral asks if he’s hung on long enough.  He has.  Checking for Boomer, sadly, no dog.
Questioning Jones, who isn’t helping, Kensi and Fatima want to know where Boomer is.  Kensi explains he just attacked a federal agent.  He’s been part of the kidnapping of a Marine dog and if that dog dies, Jones will be charged with felony murder.  With his record, Jones is in a lot of trouble.  Rountree is checking out Jones’s house but he says he doesn’t know anything about the dog.  He’s unhappy they broke into his shop with guns.  Kensi threatens to turn the torch back on.  Jones asks Fatima if she heard Kensi’s threat.  Fatima tells Kensi to get some fresh air – she has things under control.  Jones calls Kensi high-strung as she leaves.  Fatima barks “shut up” which Jones thinks is rude.
On the phone with Shyla, Kensi is told there are no big deposits in Jones’s bank account.  Kensi tells Shyla it would be an all-cash deal.  Checking his cell activity, Shyla can’t really use it.  Rountree found some guns, drugs and cash at Jones’s home. While she’s checking the GPS in the vehicles on the lot to see if they can trace where Jones was that day, Kensi wants Rountree to check the cash for fingerprints – the prints may be from the person who put up the bounty.  She sends the GPS files to Ops.
In Jones’s house, Rountree found a package for a dog muzzle, an odd purchase for a man who doesn’t own a dog.  Rountree has some prints and he hopes they aren’t from a bank teller.  The prints belong to a Brian Miller, who is likely muscle for whoever put up the bounty.  Miller has a record of animal cruelty – dog fighting.  Kensi wants Shyla to cross-reference any drug gangs with ties to dog fighting.  Using the GPS locations from Jones’s dognapping SUV, see what gangs are in that area.  Kensi wouldn’t mind getting Callen back in the field when Rountree returns to the auto shop.
While Nate is explaining repressed memories, Callen’s phone rings.  Nate asks if everything is alright.  It isn’t so duty calls.  Callen asks if Nate can help him with repressed memories.  “I can certainly try.”  But “some memories are forgotten for a reason.”
Driving, Fatima asks a texting Rountree if everything is OK.  He’s texting his sister.  Fatima asks if Jordyn is talking to someone – a counselor.  Rountree isn’t sure.  Fatima thinks if Jordyn knew Rountree was seeing someone, maybe she’d do the same.  Shyla calls.  A gang called “The Ghost Soldiers” run by Nick Reed has been taking some major risks and making big money running drugs for the cartels.  Smith and Boomer have done serious damage to the gang’s business.  The gang is involved in a lot of bad things including dog fights.  They paid to have Boomer kidnapped to get him off the streets to they can fight him.
Callen joins Kensi, Fatima and Rountree outside Reed’s house.  A REACT team is nearby and Kensi has a plan.  Backing the Audi into the vehicle outside of Reed’s house, Kensi causes some major damage.  Pretending to be knocked out by putting her head on the horn, Kensi waits for Reed to come out of the house.  He does, furious that Kensi wrecked his truck.  Callen tells Fatima and Rountree to go into the house.
Kensi is about to call the police, it’s her fault, but Reed doesn’t want her to.  As Fatima and Rountree look through the house, Kensi really pushes for calling the police.  Reed makes it clear – no police.
Fatima and Rountree come across a meth lab inside the house.  Fatima gets one guy in the lab but Rountree has a runner.  Reed and Miller want Kensi to get out of the car but she’s playing scared.  As they argue, Rountree and his runner come flying out the house’s front window.  That gets Reed and Miller’s attention.  Guns drawn, Callen and Kensi yell federal agents with Callen adding that now would be the time to make smart decisions.  Dropping their guns, Reed and Miller make a smart decision.
The Miller backyard is full of angry, caged or chained dogs.  Master Sergeant Boomer Hayes is found alone in back.  Fatima asks “Are you ready to go home Marine?”
Kensi is waiting in the boatshed with Boomer.  Smith comes running in and the two are happily reunited.  Smith knows people think it is strange she’s so tight with Boomer but Kensi thinks it’s great.  “In fact, I married my furry partner, though he’s more of a mutt.”  She tells Smith it is more of an inside joke.
In the office, Rountree asks Fatima if he could talk to Nate about what happened.  Fatima tells him that’s what Nate is for.  Callen joins them, complimenting them on their work in the case.  Walking to the bullpen, Callen asks Sam about what happened with his dad.  The senior Hanna drove to the grocery store, forgot he took the car and started to walk home.  He got lost on the way.  Callen and Sam are both sad about the story.  Callen asks Sam if he think he should get a dog.  Sam doesn’t see Callen as a dog person – he never owned a dog.  Callen doesn’t see himself as a cat person.  Sam thinks Callen should think small.  Maybe a goldfish, sea monkeys – “baby steps, G, baby steps.”
What head canon can be formed from here:  We had Smith the dog handler versus Jones the dog thief – very common name battle today.  Do wonder if Boomer was named after Daniela Ruah’s annual Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials co-star.
It looked like a lot of people were out (Deeks) or only available with limited scenes (Callen and Sam).  Kensi worked well with the newer team members.  The case of the week was another evergreen story – the side stuff with Sam and his father, Callen and his past are all about this season but the bones of this episode and about 90% of the dialogue around the case could work in season two.
They did a good job not making the effects of Rountree being racially profiled not a one and done event.
Episode number:  This is episode 296 overall and season 13’s 16th episode.

Movies I watched this Week #87
I finally watched (transfixed!) Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce 1080 Bruxelles, Chantal Akerman’s feminist masterpiece. This detailed portrayal of middle-aged housewife Delphine Seyrig for 3+ hours was hypnotic and subversive. Akerman made it with an all-female crew when she was 25.
The meticulous dullness of her daily routine, her regimented obsessiveness were so tedious, so mundane, that when the tiniest cracks showed on the surface, they were shocking: like the split-second pause when she was peeling potatoes. So different, it reminded me of Polanski’s Repulsion.
Still, mysteries remained: What was the meaning of the flickering blue light in the living room? What was the arrangement with the baby? 8/10.
Next on my list: Her previous film ‘Je Tu Il Elle’.
🍿  3 more by Alejandro Jodorowsky:
🍿 The Dance of Reality (2013) was Jodorowsky's first film after a hiatus of 23 years. Magical realism like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, dreamy surrealism like Salvador Dalí, breathtaking poetry like Salman Rushdie - there’s nobody in cinema like Jodorowsky. If I were to organise the 1500+ films I’ve seen since the beginning of last year, this will possibly rank as my very best, No. 1 film. Wow! (Photos Above).
🍿 “I wanted to make a film that will give the people who took LSD at that time the hallucinations you get with that drug, but without hallucinating...”
Jodorowsky’s Dune, a 2012 documentary about his legendary lost masterpiece. He gathered a formidable team of participants, Orson Welles, Jean ‘Mœbius’ Giraud, H.R. Giger, Pink Floyd, Salvador Dalí (who was to get paid $100,000 per minute of screen time), Mick Jagger, Udo Kier, Amanda Lear, and others. But the 10-14 hour running time was eventually one of the reasons the film was never made.
🍿 The Severed Heads (1957) was his first film (which was thought to be lost for over half a century). It’s a low-budget, short mime adaptation of a Thomas Mann story, about a woman who sells human heads at her shop. Avant-garde film-school concept, that I found simple and unimpressive.
🍿
2 special Beatles features:
🍿John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky, a terrific documentary about the 1971 recording of the Imagine album at their Tittenhurst Park home. A must have for any Beatles fan. 9/10.
🍿 The complete Magical Mystery Tour 1967 movie is available for free viewing on the Internet Archive! I remember proudly owning the original double-EP with 24-pg booklet and listening the heck out of it, to "Magical Mystery Tour”, “Your Mother Should Know", “I Am the Walrus", “The Fool on the Hill”, "Flying", and “Blue Jay Way".
Joyful silliness, random drug-fueled hallucinations - No wonder it was misunderstood and poorly received at the time!
🍿
2 starring Faye Dunaway and Robert Duvall:
🍿“The American people want somebody to articulate their rage for them !”...
I just learnt about ‘Culture Industry’, Theodor Adorno’s Marxist term that explains ‘Pop Culture’ as a 'factory which produces standardized cultural goods (I.e. entertainment, sports, news, politics, fashion, technology, slang., etc), that are used to manipulate mass society into passivity’. And at the very same day, I re-watched Paddy Chayefsky’s prescient masterpiece Network, still a perfect metaphor for exactly this concept.
Remarkable performances by all the actors, Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, Robert Duvall and Ned Beatty as Arthur Jensen, terrific dialogue and prophetic satire.
I didn’t realize that the Howard Beale story was based on a real on-screen suicide that happened two years earlier in Sarasota, Florida. 10/10.
🍿 I finally mustered up the courage to watch Margaret Atwood's dystopic The Handmaid's Tale. This Misogynist vision which is taking over America is the scariest shit I know. I'm literally heartbroken when thinking about the fate of women in the 2030 United States of Gilead, after the abolition of the constitution.
However, as a movie, this 1990 version was not scary enough, also not good enough. In spite of the talent involved: Screenplay by Harold Pinter, score by Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc. 2/10.
🍿
My first film from Tunisia, The man who sold his skin, was nominated for 2021 Oscar for 'Best foreign film’. A thought-provoking story full of pathos of young Syrian lovers who must separate after the start of the civil war. The girl is saved by marrying a wealthy man and moving to Belgium, and the boy agrees to have a large visa tattooed on his back by a controversial artist, so that he too can move to Europe, hoping he’ll win the woman’s back. Becoming a commodified living canvas becomes a flashpoint of meanings about art & politics. With Monica Bellucci. 8/10.
🍿
Buñuel’s nonredeemable world of Viridiana, “voted the best Spanish film of all time in a 2016 poll organized by Spanish film magazine Caimán Cuadernos de Cine”. Sacrilegious, blasphemous finger in the eye of all that is holy, charity, piousness, Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, forgiveness, progress. 9/10.
🍿
First watch: I didn’t get Mildred Pierce. The story of an independent, single woman, who manages to build a successful business on her own, and which is framed as a murder mystery (that was not in the original James M. Cain novel) never got me engaged. And the clash of a self-sacrificing mother and her spoiled, ungrateful daughter, who hated her because she can never give her the lifestyle she deserves was muddled up for me.
🍿
In the thrilling French romance Two of us (Deux, 2019) two elderly women, who live across the hall from each other, have also been secret lovers for decades, and now plan to move to Rome together. But then one of them has a stroke and becomes mute and paralyzed, and is unable to tell her family the truth about her relationship. A beautiful Old People drama of the same level and maturity as Michael Haneke’s ‘Amour’, Charlotte Rampling’s ‘45 years’, and Stanley Tucci’s ‘Supernova’. Barbara Sukowa is magnificent in it. 9/10.
🍿
2 with Chinese actress Tang Wei:
🍿 Long Day's Journey into Night (2018, and unrelated to the Eugene O'Neill play of the same name), directed by the young Chinese prodigy Bi Gan. A strange and different Poetic Noir film about dreams and memories. Esoteric, literary and complex, it tells of a man coming back to the neglected mine town of his childhood after the death of his father, and of his looking for a woman he loved and lost 20 years earlier.
It end with a spectacular hour-long, single-take 3-D shot of a dream within a movie theater, that is as evocative and unique as any of Tarkovsky or Terrence Malick most artful scenes. (I streamed the 2D version, but read that watching it in 3D elevates the film even more.)
🍿 Decision to leave, my third by Park Chan-wook (after ‘Oldboy’ and ‘The handmaiden’). His latest is a poetic romantic Korean noir about a married insomniac detective who falls in love with a mysterious murder suspect. Plus for the use of Mahler’s symphony, but otherwise I could not fathom the subtext of the symbolic plot.
🍿
Pauline at the beach, my first of Éric Rohmer’s 1980s series ‘Comedies and Proverbs’. This sunny, airy, sensual and elegant story is the kind of film I can watch all day every day, like a sweet and light cup of citron mousse. 8/10.
🍿
Love Me Tonight (1932), a pre-Code musical comedy with Maurice Chevalier playing a Parisian tailor. It starts with an innovative opening of City awakening, that is nearly like a ‘Blue Man’ episode.
🍿
My first from Congo, Zombies by Baloji, is rather a 15-minutes music essay, a reflection on Kinshasa’s technology-obsessive generation. Wildly creative “in the style of Takeshi Kitano”. 🍿
“…Are you tired of sloppy, cut-rate funerals?…”
While waiting for the upcoming ‘Weird’, which promises to be an excellent "Weird Al" Yankovic project, I tried his 1989 cult parody UHF. Unfortunately, except of a few gags and jokes, it fell flat for me. 3/10.
🍿
I watched the new pulp trash Loving Adults only because it’s another Danish film, but this being an actual Netflix Production, it was generic, cheesy, cliched, and just downright awful. I need to write down what exactly makes the typical Netflix film so terrible! 1/10.
🍿
Throw-back to the art project:
The Handmaid's Tale Adora.
John and Yoko Adora.
Tattooed Adora.
Zombie Adora.
Adora with Buñuel.
Adora with Jodorowsky.
🍿

sleeping together
a/n: this is a little bit like the first times blurb, where the title is a bit misleading 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ hope you like it! also i kinda nerded out with ben’s 😬🤣 walter’s is a bit steamy, and it’s ehhh
•••
ben
Tumblr media
- ben surprised you with a date night in at his apartment. he ordered pizza and had a list of your favorite movies queued up to watch for the rest of the night. you two had been dating for a short while, only three months, but it was going great.
after finishing off most of the pizza, you two continued to watch a movie you had told ben about, from the early thirties called duck soup.
“where did you see this movie?” he wonders, wiping his eyes as he calms down from laughing.
“one of my friends saw it in her film class and told me about it. it’s hilarious and it broke a lot of rules in the film industry in terms of the content.”
“how so?” ben wonders, pausing the movie so you won’t miss anything.
“it was a pre-code film, meaning it came out before there were regulations about what was deemed appropriate and what was not. there are many things in this film that would not have gotten past the laws if it were made years later.”
“that’s quite interesting,” ben says, playing the movie again.
after a couple more movies, you finally checked the time, and saw it was close to midnight.
“well, i should probably get back home before the rain worsens,” you stand to gather your things.
“love, the storm is pretty bad already, you should just stay.” ben’s words make you freeze. you had yet to spend the night with him, let alone sleep in the same bed.
“are you sure? i’m fine with driving home.”
“well i’m not fine with you driving home. stay, please.” ben is quick to pull the puppy dog face, which you can never say no to.
“i have no clothes here, and i need to take a shower.”
“you can use my stuff, and i can lend you some clothes, love. please, just-” ben didn’t finish his sentence before a loud boom shook the house and the sound of hail followed right after.
“fine. i guess the universe wants me to stay here.” ben celebrates a little and leads you to his bathroom.
“use whatever you like and i’ll set some clothes for you to change into on the counter.” he gives you a quick kiss on the cheek and runs off to his room.
after you finish showering and getting dressed, you make your way to ben’s room, yawning as you step inside. you find ben frantically shoving things under his bed, in his closet, and throwing things into his dresser drawers.
“uh, ben?” you call out. he stops and turns around, smiling when he sees you dressed in a t-shirt of his and a pair of his boxers.
“you look so fucking adorable,” he says, bringing you into his arms.
“your clothes are really comfortable and smell like you.” ben laughs and kisses your lips. he leaves you to crawl into bed, you following him after a second.
“come ‘ere, love,” ben mumbles, pulling you back into his grasp, cuddling you close to his chest. you hum happily, sleep slowly beginning to take you over as you feel ben’s arms wrap around you.
“i could get used to this,” he whispers, “falling asleep with the girl i love in my arms.”
peter
Tumblr media
- you were sat at your kitchen table doing homework when your phone began to ring with a call from peter.
“hello?” you answer.
“(y/n), can i come over?” peter asks, sounding very stressed and angry.
“uh, sure. what’s up?”
“i’ll explain when i get there.” before you can respond, he hangs up and leaves you wondering what could have possibly happened.
he arrived a few minutes later by storming in, as he usually does when he visits.
“peter, what’s-”
“you know what my dad said about me?! he said i’m a do-nothing drug dealer who has no potential in life and will end up being some thug on the streets!” he angrily spits. you are up from your seat within a second, bringing him in for a hug.
“you know none of that is true, peter.” he huffs and pushes you away slightly, retreating to the couch in the living room.
“no, he’s right. i mean, i haven’t been to any of my classes in forever, i have no other use in-”
“peter! shut up right now!’ he listens to your strong tone and takes a couple deep breaths.
“first of all, why are you listening to your dad when you know all he does is put you down and try to upset you?” peter shrugs and leans back against the couch.
“i’m sorry. it’s just, his words get to me sometimes, and i know all he wants to do is tear me down and degrade me, but it hurts a lot.”
“i know. you just have to look past his words and focus on the positive things.” he smiles and takes your hand gently.
“thank you. i don’t know where i’d be without a friend like you.”
“i’m always here for you, peter.” silence takes over the air and you had no idea what to say next. but, peter spoke up before you could.
“can we, um, take a nap together?” he shyly asks. you raise your eyebrows in surprise. “we don’t have to if you’re not-”
“no, no. it’s okay. i was just a little taken aback because it’s not something we do.” he shrugs again and gazes up at you questionably.
“yeah, let’s go up to my room. it’s more comfortable than the couch.” you stand, letting him follow you up to your room. you two crawl under your comforter and peter immediately curls up against your body, resting his head on your chest.
“everything will be okay, peter,” you whisper, beginning to thread your fingers through his blond locks.
“i know it will. thanks to you, i know.”
warren
Tumblr media
- you and walter had been dating for a couple months now, but you had yet to spend the night with him in his dorm room. you desperately wanted to, but warren always insisted that he had to get up early the next morning and didn’t want to wake you.
at first, you believed him. he knew you get cranky when you’re woken up, so you were happy that he warned you. but, the excuses started getting more and more ridiculous. they ranged from him hogging the covers, having to sleep with the fan on and make it cold in the room, and finally sleep-talking. you told warren that none of that mattered, you just wanted to sleep by his side for a night.
finally, one night, you two stayed up until midnight doing homework, and you didn’t feel like walking all the way back to your room. so, you begged warren to let you stay with him. surprisingly, he agreed. but, he said he was going to sleep on the floor.
“warren, just tell me the real reason why you don’t want me to sleep here!” you were now upset and slightly angry. all you wanted was a night with your boyfriend, but for some reason, he didn’t want the same. warren takes a moment to gather his thoughts and prepare how to tell you.
“i...i just, i’m insecure.” your eyes widen a bit.
“about? i’ve seen your body many times, babe.” he chuckles and shakes his head.
“it’s about my wings. i don’t want to knock you off the bed in the middle of the night, or hit you.”
“oh, war. why didn’t you tell me?”
“because it’s embarrassing!”
“i wouldn’t have judged you, babe. and it’s not embarrassing at all. you were worried about hurting me and that is the only thing that matters.” he nods and gives you a soft kiss on your lips.
“so, can i stay?” you grin, biting your lip. warren laughs and pulls you over to his bed, laying under the covers and pulling you in.
“you can stay here whenever you like, love.”
walter
Tumblr media
- walter’s lips feverishly pressed against yours as he pinned you against the door of his room.
“w-walter,” you moan, eyes dropping closed in pleasure as he trails his lips down to your neck.
“shh, love. we have to be quiet. we can’t let anyone know about this.” you nod at his words and grab onto the back of his head, wanting him to stay there and continue his kisses.
“you are so damn beautiful, darling. i need you so bad,” walter groans, releasing his hold on you and bringing you over to his bed. he lays you down and goes back to kissing you, starting at your lips and moving all the way down your body as he removes your clothing.
“wow,” walter whispers breathlessly, his hand softly rubbing your bare back. you smile up at him, your head resting on his chest. “i have never experienced that with anyone, and i am glad you were the first,” he says.
“you were my first as well, walter, and i hope you’ll be the only one i am ever like this with.”
“i plan on it, my darling.”

Take Care Of You
MasterList | People I Write About
Word Count: 898
Summary: The Beale family find out that Y/N has depressed
Tumblr media
Y/N and Lucy were the best friends that anyone could ever see. They were an open book for the whole world to see them. Until Ian and the rest of the Beale family started to notice that Y/N and Lucy were sneaking around. They even went to ask Y/N’s family if they have seen anything worrying about. But Y/N’s family didn’t notice anything. Of course, the Beale family started to worry that Lucy fell back into doing coke and got Y/N involved as well. So they decided to just ask Lucy once after coming back from sneaking around with Y/N.
“Lucy, can we talk for a bit?” Ian stood up from the couch. Lucy just turns to look at Y/N but she shrugs not knowing why would Ian would want to talk to Lucy. “Sure, Y/N just head up, I will be there in a bit,” Lucy told Y/N, who nod and head up the stairs. “What’s going on?” Lucy asked looking around the living room seeing Jane and Peter were there as well. “We need to ask a question.” Jane stood up standing next to Ian. “What?” Lucy replied staring at them. “Are you doing drugs again?” Jane asked tearing up. Lucy just rolled her eyes and sighed. “No, I'm not doing drugs again. What makes you even believe that I'm doing that again?” Lucy replied annoyed walking away ready to go up to her room. “Then why are you and Y/N sneaking around? Is she doing drugs?” Peter asked standing up from where he was sitting. “She would never do that and how much of an asshole do you need to be. Y/N was the one that helped me get me off of coke.” Lucy turn around yelling. “Well, what’s going on? Ian asked. Lucy sighed and looked down. “Last month Y/N was diagnosed with depression. I have been trying to get some help in order to get her anti-depressant but nothing.”Lucy confessed not making eye contact with anyone in the room. “Have you asked her family? Do they even know?” Jane asked.”Yes, but they don’t believe that she is. They told her that she made it up. Wanting attention. So her last hope to actually get her anti-depressant is me. So we’re going around to see if there some help or discount for her.” Lucy explains sitting at the dinner table. “We could have help,” Ian spoke after a while. “Of course, we have money saved up as back up,” Jane said walking behind her and rubbing her shoulders.
After the talk that they all had. Ian and Jane went to get the medicine for Y/N. Leaving Peter and Lucy in the living room. They checked on Y/N and found out that she took a nap. So they just head downstairs leaving Y/N to rest. “Why didn’t you tell us?” Peter asked looking at Lucy. “She asked me to not tell you guys. She was scared that you guys would react the same way that her family did.” Lucy started to play with the pillow in her lap. “We would never,” Peter replied “I know but Y/N just didn’t want you guys to look at her different. I mean I didn’t expect it. She’s always so happy and making people around happy. When I found out, I felt crappy. She saw me clear when I did coke. I didn’t even saw the signs.” Lucy spoke tearing up. Peter took her in his arms. “It’s alright, she’s strong.” After a few minutes of not saying anything. Lucy went to take a walk. Ian and Jane came back a few minutes after Lucy left.
Peter took the medicine and put them away. By the time that he was done clean around for Y/N’s pills. Y/N walked into the kitchen looking around. “Lucy went on a walk if you’re looking for her,” Peter spoke turning to her. “Alright. I should leave anyway, do you mind telling her that I left but thanks for the help?”  Y/N  replied picking her bag. “Why don’t you wait for her?” Peter suggested remembering that Lucy wanted to talk to her. “I don’t want to overstep my welcome.” Y/N smile gently grabbing her coat. “Come on, you’re always welcome here.” Peter took hold of Y/N’s arm softly.  “I know she told you, Peter.” Y/N spoke looking at him. “How?” Peter questioned. “She wrote me a letter to take the medicine and she told you guys.” Y/N replied. Peter sighed and grab her hand, taking her to the kitchen. “Come on.” Peter gave Y/N a pill from the bottle. “You don’t have to give me a pity card, you know...right?” Y/N sallow the pill and taking the cup of water from Peter. “It’s not pity,” Peter replied. “Oh yeah, what is it?” Y/N questioned. “Taking care of you,” Peter said putting the cup away. “I don't know, that kinda sounds like pity for me.”  Y/N respond, walking away and sitting on the couch. “Well, it’s not. You took care of Lucy when she didn’t let us. We care about you also. You’re family you know.” Peter sat next to her. After that, the whole Beale family made sure that Y/N takes her medicine.

Not the right time - Warren Worthington III X Reader
A/N: Had this idea for a while now tbh. Was low-key inspired to write this one because of a telenovela my mom was watching, ngl. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it.  There's also a little HIMYM reference in there haha.
Warnings: Swear words. Drinking. Mentions of abuse. Angst. Fluff. Not proof read so some mistakes, maybe?
WC: 2,324
Summary: Warren and y/n are childhood friends that were separated when Warren ran away. They meet years later at Xaviers and unspoken feelings bring tension to the group.
REQUESTS ARE OPEN!!
Tumblr media
It was the beginning of summer and Y/N and Jubilee’s room was lit up with different colored Christmas lights, despite it being way too early for them. You’d think that they were just excited for the holiday but it wasn’t for that purpose. Y/N and her friends thought it would be a good idea to throw a little party to celebrate the summer. They were just waiting for Scott and the other guys to get back from getting pizza and snacks for the party.
The girls were busy chatting while waiting for the guys to get back. This was a rare occasion because they barely had enough time to themselves because of all the x-men stuff they had to do. For Jubilee, this was the perfect time for gossip.
“Hey Jean, what’s the deal with you and Summers? Are you like official or are you guys still going on with the no label thing?” She asked as she was painting her nails a bright pink.
“Are you for real, Jubes?” Jean laughs “What does it matter if Scott and I are official or not? We’re taking things slow.”
“Of course it matters! What if some girl swoops in and takes Scott away from you?” Jubilee says a little too exaggerated.
“Scott and I are fine the way we are. What you should be worried about is Y/N and Warren!” Jean says eyeing you with a smirk.
“What about us? We’re just friends! We have been since we were kids!” A blush creeps onto your face as you try to hide it by looking down on your nails.
“Oh come on, y/n, even I see it.” Ororo laughs before she continues. “I see the look on his face every time he sees you. I don’t have to be a mind reader to know how he feels about you.”
“Oh and don’t forget to mention the way these two keep flirting with each other all the time! You can actually cut through the tension between those two! The question is though, is it romantic tension or sexual tension?” Jubilee Chimes in.
“Oh shut up you guys. Warren and I are just friends. We’ve known each other since before he ran away and ended up in those cage fights. We’re just- I don’t know making up for lost time, I guess?” You say a little bashfully.
“By flirting constantly and being so clingy with each other?” Jean asks teasingly.
“I-I don’t know what you guys are talking about.” Somebody knocks on the door and you’re thankful that this conversation was over. For now.
Jubilee opens the door to reveal the boys with the drinks and food. Warren sets the bag he was carrying by the others and goes directly to your side of the room. He plops down beside you and wraps his arms on your waist. This doesn’t go unnoticed by Jubilee and the others.
“Hey, kitten, missed me?” Warren says as he buries his face on the crook of your neck.
“Hey yourself, bird boy.” You say as you push him away laughing. “You weren’t gone for long, Ren.”
“It was long enough for Summers over there.” He says looking over at Scott who was giving him a disapproving look.
“Come on guys let’s hurry up. I wanna spend more time with Jean.” Peter says with his Scott impression. A pillow was thrown in his direction, but Peter was just too fast for it to hit him. “Nice try, Scotty.”
----
After the first box of pizza was gone, Jubilee thought it was a good idea to play a little drinking game. Her idea, “never have I ever”. Of course everyone was okay with it because why wouldn’t they want to play a game that could end with them drunk and knowing their friends’ secrets. They sat in a circle with Warren and Peter on either side of y/n. A bottle of tequila was set in the middle of the group.
“Okay, never have I ever gone skinny dipping.” Jean says and half of the group put a finger down. Scott, Peter, Warren, and Jubilee all take a shot of tequila before telling their stories.
The game went on for about an hour before it was Jubilee’s turn. You knew she was going to target you and get you to confess your feelings for Warren.
“Me next! Never have I ever been in love with a close friend.” Jubilee says as she sees Jean, Warren, Scott, Peter, and y/n put a finger down and they all take turns taking a shot. “We all know Scott and Jean’s story, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that I don’t want to hear it. No offense. I want to hear the others!”
“Yeah, no. It’s too embarrassing. Just give me two more shots of that tequila.” You say as you reach for the shot glass.
“Boo! Kill joy. What about you two?” Jubilee points to Warren and Peter.
“All I can say is that she’s one of my closest friends here.” Peter says as he looks at you and winks. The others started cheering him on. Warren absentmindedly put his arm around your shoulder as he looked over at Peter.
“You like y/n/n?” Warren asks his brows furrowed.
“I mean yeah, I did. We had a brief fling back before you guys even came here.” Peter shrugs.
“Wait, when did this happen?” Jean asks, confusion evident on her face.
“Ugh Peter, it was supposed to be a secret. Remember?” You say as you bury your face in your palms. Warren’s jaw clenched from her answer.  “It was before Jubilee became my roommate. I had a crush on Peter and he felt the same way. Long story short it didn’t really end well.”
“Yeah. Well it was just too weird. Everything with her felt so platonic.” Peter chuckled.
“So wait, is that the “too embarrassing” story you didn’t want to tell us, y/n?” Ororo asks.
“Well, uhm no. And I’m not telling.” You say looking down on the ground.
“Well what about you, Warren?” Kurt asks looking at Warren who smirks.
“She’s right here.” Warren says pulling you closer to him. Jean and Jubilee squeal from the revelation. “When we were kids that is. I liked her a lot back then. Almost didn’t run away because of her.”
“Yeah, but you did anyway.” You say a little too bitterly. You took his arm off of you.
“What? You’d rather me stay with my abusive parents? Besides I thought you’d understand why I had to. I don’t understand why you’re still pissed about that.” Warren raises his brows.
“Well, Warren, you fucking left without even saying goodbye, so yeah, I’d be pretty pissed about that." You say taking a swig of beer. “You know what, let’s just drop it.”
“I don’t want to drop it. You’ve been avoiding this topic ever since you and I found each other here.” Warren says as he turns to face you.
“I said drop it, Warren. I don’t want to talk about it.” You say about to take another swig of beer before you hear Scott whisper something to Jean.
“I think I liked it better when these two were all lovey-dovey.”
“I heard that, Scott. In case you forgot, my mutation doesn’t just allow me to turn into any feline I want, it also has all of my senses heightened.” You glare at Scott.
“Okay calm down, kitty cat. Summers has a point for once. We’re here to chill out not watch you two fighting.” Jubilee says as she reaches over for the bottle of tequila. “Let’s just continue on with this game.”
“I’m done with this game. Sorry.” You stand up only to be pulled back down by Warren.
“Oh come on, y/n, don’t be like that. I’m sorry.” Warren says still holding your wrist.
“Okay. Fine. You want me to play? Ill answer the stupid question. That’s what you want right, Jubes? You just want me to finally confess my feelings.” You say pulling your hand away from Warren’s grip, looking at Jubilee. She shakes her head.
“Look if you don’t want to, we don’t mind. Just calm down.” Jubilee says. The others fall silent.
“Was I ever in love with a close friend? Yes. He was my best friend and I have been in love with him for as long as we’ve been friends. But he broke my heart because he left without even saying goodbye. No explanations or anything. It was just like I never even mattered to him at all. All that talk about how I was the only person he cares about, yeah I started to think that was bull shit. Years of not even a single letter or letting me know he’s alright, and then I see him on the news as one of the four horsemen of the fucking apocalypse. What a great way to find out that the guy you’ve been in love with was alive right? When he came here, I was ready to put everything behind me, because I thought what matters now is that we’re together again. But no I can’t put that shit behind me because no matter how much he flirts with me, no matter how much clingy he gets, that won’t make up for how he made me feel all those years because it fucking hurts.” You couldn’t stop your tears from falling so you just let them. Everyone was still silent all eyes on you. Warren was frozen. He didn’t know what to do or say. He just sat there staring at you. “That’s why I’ve been avoiding this for so long. That’s why I’ve been so pissed about it every time you bring it up. I am hopelessly; irretrievably in love with you, Warren. More than you know. So there, I hope you finally get the answer you want.”
You get up and walk out of your own room. Not knowing where you’d go. Back in the room, Warren was still frozen in place eyes glued to the door. It was only until Jean called out to him that he snapped out of it.
“Did any of you guys know about this?” Warren asks.
“We knew she had a thing for you but we didn’t know that it stemmed from all that.” Jubilee says eyes falling on the ground. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have pushed anything.”
“It’s fine. She’ll be fine. I uh, I’ll go find her. I guess.” Warren says as he gets up to look for you.
He didn’t take long to find you. He knew you’d be on the balcony overlooking the lake. Your back was facing him as you were staring up into the sky.
“Hey, Kitten.” Warren says as he walks cautiously towards you. He stands beside you, leaning over the railings.
“Hey.” You answer without even looking at him.
“Look, I’m sorry for leaving. I didn’t think how it would affect you. I had enough of my parents that I didn’t think about it anymore. I just left. Not realizing that you’d be hurt.” He says looking up at the sky.
“I wish I told you back then how I felt because I was pretty much in love with you. Maybe that way you would have stayed.” You say still not wanting to see his face.
“I wish I did too. I just assumed you wouldn’t be into me that way. I loved you, y/n. So much. I was just selfish.” He says causing you to snap your head to look at him.
“Oh. Well aren’t we a pair of idiots.” You chuckle lowly.
“Yeah. But hey we’re here now.” He says meeting your eyes. His gorgeous green eyes, that always held so much emotion, now only filled with regret.
“If I told you how I felt back then, would you have given me a chance?” You ask hopefully. Eyes not leaving his.
“No.”
“Oh. Well it’s a good thing I didn’t.” You look back at the sky. Staring into the moon as tears threatened to fall once again.
“I mean, it’s nothing to do with you. I would have said yes in a heartbeat, but things weren’t really in our favor back then. I didn’t want you getting wrapped up in all of my family drama.” Warren says as he reaches out for you. He turns your face to look at him again. “I shouldn’t have done what I did, but I don’t think it was the right time for us. It would have ended up with us getting hurt. We’re lucky we found each other again, y/n/n. If you still feel that way about me, then please give me a chance.”
“You clearly weren’t listening to what I said earlier.” You laugh a bit before caressing his cheek. “Yes, Ren. I still love you.”
He leans down to kiss you and you instantly kiss him back. You wrap your arms around his neck as his hands find his way to your waist. He pulls you closer as the kiss deepens. His lips felt like heaven and you’ve been dreaming about this moment ever since he came into the mansion. The kiss was full of longing and want, it felt right. You pull away breathless, looking into his eyes. Your foreheads touching.
“I love you, y/n.”
“I love you too, Warren.” You smile up at him, heart still fluttering. He pulls you into his chest.
“I’m sorry for everything. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.” He says as he plants a kiss on the top your head.
“I know.”
“We should head back. They’re probably wondering what happened to us.” Warren scratches the back of his head with a bashful look on his face.
“In a while. Let’s enjoy this moment a little longer.” You say as you wrap your arms around him again. He wraps his wings around you both.

home again- b.h (part 2)
Ben Hardy x OC
Word count: 1k+
home again playlist (ben)
home again playlist (ches)
Tumblr media
Summary: Ben and Francesca see each other for the first time in a few years. They talk outside for a bit and Ches reminds herself of what she said yesterday. Words are exchanged at dinner and a fight follows soon after.
Disclaimers: Again, this is fiction. This chapter is relatively long but I hope you enjoy. I am still not on an upload schedule and I am writing this because I want to, not off of demand. I don’t own any of the pictures on this post. Grammar and spelling errors. 18+ explicit language. Enjoy!
May 18
It’s nice out tonight, summer being just around the corner. As I drive to my old childhood home I see two little kids playing on the sidewalk. The little girl has her brown hair in pigtails as the blond boy tugs on them. How ironic, I laugh to myself. I keep the windows rolled down and my hair flies everywhere but I don’t mind. Who am I impressing?
I contradict myself as I fix my hair in my rear view mirror while I park in front of my old home. I feel eyes on me and my head instinctively moves to the right. Our eyes meet, brown and green. I want to look away but instead my eyes move down to his fingers, a cigarette laying gently between his middle and pointer finger. Time seems to stand still as we continue to stare until I finally turn back to my keys, pulling them out of the ignition and exiting the car. I walk as slow as I can but my eyes move rapidly. They meet his eyes, his mouth, his nose, his hair- it's different, it's all different. His eyes have become a deeper shade of green and his hair is styled completely different, it swoops over and a group of strands fall over onto his forehead. It’s definitely a more mature look. He looks good.
“Hi Ches.” He says slowly.
“Hi Ben…” I copy him, unsure of what to say.
“You-”
“I-”
We try to speak at the same time.
“You first.” Ben says as he throws the remainder of his cigarette onto the ground. I’ve never minded the habit. It did bother me a bit at first but the smell is somewhat comforting now; it reminds me of when we were in college.
“You look good. Grown? Just different from when we last spoke.” I rush out a sentence, not really thinking about the words.
You look good. Really?
“Thanks, you haven’t changed at all.”
Oh, I don’t look good?
“I didn’t mean you look bad or anything, still gorgeous.” He says with a smile. The look on my face must’ve showed what I was thinking. I'm surprised he caught it.
He thinks he can just compliment me and glaze over the fact that he pushed me away with no explanation? I feel my cheeks start to heat up but the adoration is soon replaced with anger as I remember what I said to myself yesterday. Keep some distance, I repeat in my head.
“Thanks Ben.” I say as I start to walk up to the front door.
“I missed you,” He whispers. I choose to ignore it.
“Hello?” I yell as I walk into my old home.
“Frannie!” My dad yells back as I walk over to kiss him hello.
I hear Ben stifle a laugh from behind me.
“Dad, I don’t like that nickname.” I’ve never liked it but that's what my family has always called me. I shouldn’t be surprised at this point. Ben knows I hate it. It’s why he calls me Ches instead, the nickname all my closest friends have called me since middle school. He’s always been quite the trendsetter.
“Oh Frannie, I think you get more gorgeous every time I see you!” Ben's mom smiles at me.
“Thank you, Laura” I respond, wanting to roll my eyes but I instead take a seat next to my mom. Of course the only seat empty is the one to my right, in which Ben moves to and pulls the chair back. It screeches and the room falls silent. I feel like I’m five again, wanting to crawl under the table cloth to hide and having a little blonde boy following my lead seconds later.
“So Frannie what are you doing these days?” Laura asks me from across the table.
“Oh well I’ve actually been working at a law firm further in town over by The Green and such. I’m a personal assistant.” I say as I take a sip of my wine. I rarely drink but I’m giving myself a pass for tonight.
“Which firm?” Ben asks.
“Aidan Michaels Attorney At Law.” I say with fake enthusiasm. I do enjoy my job but sometimes my boss can be a pain in my ass.
“Why a law firm? You were a history major.” He states as if he knows my whole life. Well, he does, but that's besides the point.
“Yeah well that changed but you wouldn’t know that.” I blatantly state.
The room goes silent once again and nobody seems to know what to say.
“Francesca…” My mom speaks up but before she can get another word in I get up and head for my room like a child who was just yelled at for not eating their vegetables.
I walk into my old bedroom and take in my surroundings. My twin bed still has its yellow comforter with small purple flowers, my desk has been left untouched since the last time I used it. I lay down for a minute, out of breath from running up the stairs and for calling Ben out at the dinner table. Once I feel like I’ve finally caught my breath there's a knock at the door.
So much for catching my breath.
I look in the mirror as I walk towards the door. When I open it I meet a pair of green eyes staring down at me.
“What was that all about?” A sense of annoyance in his voice.
“You’re really annoyed with me right now?” I laugh and turn to sit on my bed.
“You just blew my shit up at the table, am I supposed to be jumping for joy?”
“No, in fact you should probably leave my room- or, you know what? I’ll leave, I knew this would just reopen that door if I came.”
“What's the matter with you?”
“With me? Hm, I don’t know, Ben. Maybe it’s the fact that after you got your first real acting job the calls stopped coming in. No more visits, no more movie nights, no more friendship.” I say, trying to keep my volume low. I don’t want the whole block to know my damage right now.
“You don’t understand. It’s not like that.”
“It’s exactly like that.” I stand up from my spot on the bed.
He raises his hand up to his forehead and sighs.
“I just wanted to protect you.” Pathetic.
“Are you delusional?” I push, “Protect me? I didn’t know hanging out with you was so dangerous all of the sudden.” I laugh, anger in its undertone.
“No, I wanted to protect you from the harsh media and all the rumors that come with the fame. You see it all the time, ‘Star spotted with female walking in park- Friends or Lovers?’, I didn’t want that to happen to you. People are cruel and like to make up stories. On top of that, the fans can get nasty. They’ll comment ‘Whore’ or ‘Slut’, make horrible assumptions and hate on you for no reason.”
I didn’t think about it like that.
“I-” I’m at a loss for words.
“Save it.” He turns to walk out.
“Ben, wait.”
“What?” He turns back slightly.
“I didn’t think that’s what would happen, I’ll admit I was wrong there. But you couldn’t have called me and told me this? Couldn’t drive over and tell me what was going on? You left and I had to sit here everyday wondering what I did wrong. I would see you online or on T.V, I could see my best friend’s face but there was no way for me to reach out and touch him. I felt like I meant nothing to you at all. I stopped reaching out and turned my head from every magazine and post. It was torture. I missed my best friend.” I feel a tear come down and realize I started crying.
“Please don’t cry. I was an idiot, I didn’t know how to explain it to you. I shut you out and tried to live normally without you around. Truth be told I haven’t felt like myself until you pulled up tonight.” He admits.
I’m taken aback by his confession.
“I didn’t know it was that hard for you, I’m sorry”
“Don’t apologize, I turned away from you with no warning. I regretted it everyday, thought about you everyday…”
“I think we’re both idiots.” I laugh and wipe away a tear.
“Can we go downstairs and finish talking about this later? They might think you’ve killed me if we don’t.” We both laugh and head back down. I’m glad I got this closure and now I have a long story I can tell Emily tomorrow.
AN: I hope you enjoyed the second part! I want to clarify Ben's mom in real life is not Laura, I just used that name instead. With the way I want to tell the story, Ben is an only child in this world. Also, Ben and Francesca are 27 in this. I finally found Francesca's face claim!! I will be using Alexis Ren as Ches and Daria Sidorchuk as Emily.

Sure thing dude! I’ve never written for Peter Beale before so I hope this is okay :)
Speech 17 - “Yes - I’m needy and clingy and pathetic now will you come over here and cuddle me?”
Kisses 1 - Forehead Kisses
Kisses 8 - Giggly Kisses
------------------------------------------------------------
“I’m home!” Y/N called, closing the door behind her.
“Finally!” Came Peter’s exasperated call. A grin formed on Y/N’s lips and she followed the sound of her boyfriend’s voice into the living room, where he was lying on the couch with a pout on his face covered with a blanket.
“You doing alright there, Pete?” She teased, crossing her arms and looking at him. Peter let out a long sigh, rolling his eyes but a smile tugged at his own lips.
“Yes - I’m needy and clingy and pathetic now will you come over here and cuddle me?” Peter confirmed Y/N’s suspicions and Y/N burst out laughing at her boyfriend’s words.
She wandered over to here Peter lay rather pathetically on the couch and lent down to press her lips to his forehead.
“Just going to pee and put my bag away so I’ll be right back,” she promised.
“Hurry?” He requested, his pout deepening and Y/N rolled her eyes.
“What’s got you being so clingy today?” She questioned.
“Long day,” he sighed.
“Okay - you want some tea?” Y/N offered but Peter shook his head.
“Just want you,” he declared and Y/N nodded, giggling a little and kiss him to muffle the sound.
“You’re so cute,” she whispered, making him join in with her laughter as they kissed.
“Go pee - I don’t want you wetting yourself on me,” he scoffed.
“Hey! I’ll have you know that I have fantastic bladder control.”

Sweetheart Part1-Ben Hardy
It’s here!! So this is the Ben story I have been cooking up in my head for a while now! I wasn't going to upload it until I had like four parts pre-written but I couldn't not share it with you guys! LEt me know thoughts, I really hope you guys like it!
Y/N
“Mum, have you lost your mind?” You asked, slightly bewildered at her.
Your mum turned around to face you, lifting her eyebrows at you. It was looking at a mirror, except add twenty-some years and shorter hair and there you were. She narrowed her eyes in at you, “I really think the states are screwing with you, love. You should come home more often.”
“Mum,” you groaned, tipping your head back and telling her she had just crossed a line with something she promised not to speak about.
“It’s just for ten days, Y/N, Matty wanted to bring along Ben and Ben is basically family.” Your mum explained, giving a soft shrug of her shoulders as you stood in the foyer of your childhood home. This house was about to be exploding with people and a certain someone you were less than excited to see. “Not only is it our birthdays but also mine and your fathers wedding anniversary.”
“So he couldn’t stay at a hotel?” you hissed quietly, glancing over our shoulder to make sure Matt or Ben wasn’t around. “Don’t his parents live a block away?”
“They moved when Ben went away to college,” your mum explained, her eyebrows lifting again. “You’d know this if you hadn’t nearly disappeared all together.”
“It isn’t like I cut ties with you, Val, dad and Matty, mum.” You pointed out with a glare. “I just choose to not care for him.”
Your mum rolled her eyes, “You’re being ridiculous.”
You went to argue further, press her to kick out your older brother’s best friend, but she shrugged again with a smile. “It’ll be like old times; having my babies in the same room again. Plus Ben.”
You nearly snarled at her mentioning him. She ignored the scowl on your face and smiled over your shoulder, “Lovie, can you ask Ben to grab Y/N’s luggage?”
“I can grab my own luggage,” you muttered to her but turned around to see your older brother walking through the front door. He looked so much like your father, same colored hair, same big round eyes with the same little smile, one that he was giving you right now.
“There’s my girl,” he grinned and stepped towards you, opening his arms up wide and wrapping them around you. He kissed your head, “How was your flight?”
           You grimaced, “Long.”
Matt showed the same grimace but your mum cut in, “Matt, dad wants you in the kitchen. He’s messed with the grill again.”
Matt rolled his eyes and muttered, ‘Jesus Christ’ as he brushed past you and followed your mum through the kitchen. You smiled to yourself and walked outside. It was warm out and within that evening you could smell the rain that lingered in the air from the afternoon shower they had. It made you smile because you found yourself missing the rain showers here and there. As you traveled down to the rental car, a wind picked up and raced through your limbs, making you shiver as you reached the boot of the car.
“How much luggage do you have, bloody hell, Y/N.” Ben grumbled unhappily as he pulled out the rather large suitcase you had stuffed into the back of the car.
“I can grab it if you’re going to whine like a little girl.” You told him, digging your hands out of your heavy sweater and reaching past him but he denied you.
“I’ve got it.” He mumbled and you pulled back, rolling your eyes. For the next couple seconds you watched as he finally pulled your suitcase out of the back of the car and then reached for your duffle bag, your stomach swirling with a heavy dislike for this man.
You had known Ben almost your whole life, all because he became your brother’s best friend. They went from being friends in the early stages of school to being absolutely inseparable all through the years growing up. And because you were the youngest, and loved Matt, you wanted to be just like him but slowly you realized that Ben was a tool. Over the course of one summer, he went from being Matt’s best friend and your friend to something entirely different so you distanced yourself from him but because Ben was so close with your brother it meant distancing yourself from Matt as well.
When Ben straightened up and placed the suitcase on the ground, he huffed and looked at you with his bright green eyes. He shoved his fingers through his blonde hair at the top of his head and gave you a once over, dragging his eyes down the length of your body and taking you in. It had been nearly six years since your last interaction with Ben, and you would have been fine with going another six. Six years had done well on Ben, he was taller than you remembered and filled out with muscle, his face seemed thinner and his lips plumper. But he was still the same Ben that made you want to lock yourself in your room for a whole year.
“Been a long time, sweetheart.” His words were low and grumbled, coming from deep inside his chest and it only made your cheeks flare, just like they had done when you were younger. The very tiny, less than meaningful nickname brought back memories that filled your head with a shiver up your spine.
           Fuck.. Just like that, sweetheart.
You’re dripping… Tell me you’re wet for me, sweetheart.
Made just for me, only me, sweetheart.
“Should’ve stayed that way.” You said, clenching your jaw and shaking his moans out from your head. You took your suitcase and duffle bag from him and headed towards your front door.
Ben rushed to walk beside you, knocking your hand out of the way and taking your heavy suitcase from you, ignoring your wordless attempts of telling him to leave you alone. “Matty said you moved from Pennsylvania to New York… Big move.”
You rolled your eyes at his attempt at a conversation, staying silent as you walked through the house. You dropped your duffle bag onto the floor by the stairs and said, “You can just put it in my room.” Then didn’t bother looking at him over your shoulder as you headed into the kitchen to find your mom. Asking her a question before Ben got the chance to try and keep your attention, “Mum, when is Val getting in?”
You found your mum in the kitchen, your brother and dad dealing with the cold and putting the food on the grill. Your mum smiled your way, “Tomorrow morning.”
When time for supper rolled around you had been able to nurse two glasses of white wine, courtesy of your dad coming up to you and putting them in your hand, so when it was time to sit down in front of your brother and Ben’s bright green eyes, you felt somewhat relaxed. As you all settled into your seats, dishing out the food, it almost seemed like normal times before six summers ago, back when Ben and you still got along, back when you and your brother were close. Your dad cracked jokes with your mum, your brother sat there giving you a smile as he laughed, but every time you looked at Ben you just remembered that one night that changed it all. So you avoided his eyes and tried to suppress the memories when you both joined in on conversations, but it was hard and it surprised you at how easily it affected you. It happened so long ago and you thought this time apart would allow you to look at it as a simple mistake between two people, but it was one made behind your brother’s back and Ben changed after that night, and not in the best way. He turned into a tool, a total dick and it only made you feel worthless because at the time you thought it meant more.
“So, sis,” Matt grabbed your attention, “when you moving back home?”
Your eyes shot to your mum’s, ready to accuse her for putting your brother up to it, but all she did was lift her hands and played innocent. You looked back at Matt and he smiled sadly, “Jus miss you, is all.”
You were the youngest of three and your two siblings still lived in England. You were the only one that took leaving the nest as in leaving the country all together, six years ago you just needed a fresh start, away from the secret and mistake. While Ben did go off to UNI, to start perusing an acting career, you still saw more of him than you’d like and it had gotten harder and harder to be around him. You shrugged, “It’s different.”
“Don’t you miss your family?” he asked, “I mean, this is the first time you’ve been home in forever.”
Guilt rippled through you and you began picking through your food. Moving to Pennsylvania was hard at first, you still got home sick and had started considering coming home for good, but you hated these conversations because they didn’t get it.
“So, Ben, how has life been after Bohemian Rhapsody?” your dad asked and you breathed a sigh of relief because the attention was taken off of you.
Ben cleared his throat. You picked up your glass of wine, finally able to look him in the eyes as he began talking about what he had been up too since the biopic was released. “Busy, lots of traveling.”
“Benny, here, was in a fashion show in Milan.” Matt said, smirking over at his best friend.
But you knew this because your childhood best friend sent the screenshots of his Instagram pictures to you. You loved her, still called once a week, but she was a bitch and liked to remind you of what happened between you two. At this point it was a running joke between the two of you.
“Good for you, honey,” your mum smiled at him. “I’m glad you could join us for our celebrations.”
Ben smiled warmly at your mum, “Matt told me and I cleared my schedule.”
You rolled your eyes and felt a soft kick to your shin. It came from your dad’s end of the table, so you turned your eyes and found him silently scolding you and you felt like you were sixteen again, not twenty-five. You forced a smile through clenched teeth and picked up your glass of wine, devouring it so you could get through the dinner. You hoped your parents liquor cabinet was fully stocked, just so you could get through the next ten days of two birthdays and a wedding anniversary.
By the time dinner finished, you had only eaten half of your dinner before helping your mum clean up and when she gave you the OK you retreated up to your old room and saw that nothing had changed. Your walls were still the same light grey, bedsheets were still the same soft lavender. The pictures of you and your childhood friends hung on the walls and littered your dresser, a TV mounted above it and faced your bed. You couldn’t wait to sink inside that big fluffy bed that you had started to miss more and more over the years.
           “I haven’t been in here in… forever.”
You turned your head to find Ben standing in your doorway, hands pushed into the front pockets of his black jeans and resting his shoulder against the doorframe. His eyes took in your room and he smiled softly, “Shit, brings back memories, doesn’t it?”
“Sure does,” you breathed nonchalantly, rolling your suitcase from beside the door to its spot in front of the dresser.
“Remember that night I helped you sneak out of your room?” Ben asked and you looked at him to see him walking further into your room. He wore a playful and boyish grin, “you begged me for weeks to help you, just so you and Y/BFF/N could go get wasted.”
You did remember that night. It was a good night with Ben being your driver but it was also the same summer that changed it all. Ben must have seen your annoyance in his eyes because his shoulders slouched and he sighed, “Sweetheart,”
“Don’t call me that,” you cut him off.
“Why?” His eyes narrowed in at you as he took a step towards you with a smirk on his plump lips. “Because it brings back too many memories for you? Does it make you think about what we did that night?”
Your breath caught in your throat.
His eyes drank in your parted lips and he sank his teeth into his bottom lip. “Don’t you worry, because it brings it all back for me as well.”
“Ben!” Matt called out as he traveled down the hall, making Ben step away from you just before your brother found Ben in your bedroom and stuck his head in. “Mate, everyone’s meeting up at the pub, lets go.”
“Yeah, alright.” Ben replied and headed for the door, giving you one last look over his shoulder before walking out, leaving you breathless.
AGAIN please give me thoughts because part of me is like this is totally a shot in the dark but oh well

Not to be NSFW or anything, but if I could wake up tomorrow morning with Ben Hardy in my bed and a ring on my finger that’d be great.
