Dumb Tech Today ... Embarking on a Tech Odyssey!
In a world where technology's presence is omnipresent, I can't help but marvel at the fascinating interplay between humans and the tech that envelops us. As I kickstart my very first blog post, I find myself pondering the intricate dance between technological advancement and human evolution. Are we witnessing a scenario where technology outsmarts human intellect, or are we, as humans, surging ahead while our own creations struggle to keep pace?
Join me, your host Priscilla Botirca, on this exploration, as I promise to share not just my triumphs, but also my stumbles, inviting you all to traverse the vast realm of technology by my side.
I begin by laying out a perplexing enigma: Is it possible that technology is getting sharper as humans appear to lag behind, or could it be that humans are elevating their cognitive prowess, leaving technology struggling in the dust? This paradox encapsulates the essence of our technological era.
On one hand, we're witnessing AI, machine learning, and automation achieving feats that often outmatch human capabilities. On the other hand, the explosion of knowledge accessibility and learning resources indicates that human intelligence is ascending to new heights. This intriguing question invites us to contemplate the intricate interplay between human brilliance and technological advancement. As your guide on this tech expedition, I extend a heartfelt invitation to you all to accompany me on this journey of discovery.
Together, we'll navigate through insightful blog posts that shed light on emerging tech trends and dive deep into my personal encounters. By sharing my mishaps, blunders, and the solutions I've stumbled upon, I aim to create an environment of relatability and approachability. This invitation serves as a prelude to a collaborative voyage, where I eagerly anticipate your own anecdotes and insights.

Instant connections
Have you ever met a complete stranger, and instantly been able to comfortably converse and connect with them? No awkwardness, no small talk, just instant intellectual conversation. This instant connection is an infrequent occurrence for me, a basis in which I form most friendships and relationships with people. It’s almost a sign from the universe that you were meant to meet that person. If you are unfamiliar what I mean by this instant connection, I mean that spontaneous and quick connection you feel to someone who was just a stranger and you become friends or acquaintances in a short period of time.
I have two theories as to why these occurrences exist between people. The first being the detection of similar interests and experiences, making it easier for you to relate to that person, subsequently making it easier for you to converse with that individual. This theory has been backed by Dr. Rick Kirschner in his book ‘How to click with people’ (Hyperion, 2011), where he states that what makes people click is a combination of personal characteristics and interpersonal resonance based on patterns of similarity. I think that this is an interesting theory to these connections, as it is a reasonable explanation. As similar interests are a good basis to build a relationship with someone. Dr. Kirschner also goes on to say “No doubt, the chemistry of some connections is hormonal”. Which again is another good point, as there have been findings that women who spend extensive amounts of time around each other, become in sync with their menstruation cycles. So what’s to say that hormones aren’t also the result of this chemistry between strangers.
The second theory, being that I had crossed paths with that individual in a past life and being a believer of Buddhist beliefs on rebirth. I believe that our soul is what makes up who we are, and that are bodies are just a change of clothes when we enter a new life. I believe that my soul has experienced several lives, and that these instant connection encounters are reminders of my past lives and that we have crossed paths before. Have you ever visited some where for the first time and experienced de ja vu, as if you have been to that place before? I put both these encounters and experiences down as evidence that rebirth does exist, and people’s souls experience several lives, some more than others. For all you know, you could be sat next to the soul of whom was Winston Churchill or Albert Einstein.

Peter and John had PERSONAL ENCOUNTERS with and experiential knowledge of Jesus. This gave them the boldness to continue teaching and healing in the name of Jesus despite the threats from the rulers, Jews & non-Jews. This is why I encourage us to SEEK GOD FOR YOURSELF this year! Her sister couldn't sit still long enough, but did try really hard whilst I sketched her. But what's amazing is the story afterwards. They took me to see their mum and I showed her the pictures. We got to talking and she shared that she was having a spot of bother with her eczema (my specialist subject). So we shared our struggles and I was given the opportunity to pray for healing for her. Afterwards, I asked whether she felt anything. Entirely amazed, she said she felt a tingle from her head to tail! God's doing something, bringing on that healing and showing that he's real, authentic and personal. Plus I've made a new neighbourhood friend. . #inktober #inktober2017 #number29 #day29 #sketchbook #profile #portraiture #illustrate #story #testimony #christian #opportunity #evangelise #healing #behindthescenes #god #godisreal #authentic #makethemostofeachday #personalencounter #neighbours #newfriends (at Perth, Western Australia)

Some people are so focused on attaining "high end" stuff they've forgotten what's really important in life, they're so focused on owning mansions and keeping them in "model home" condition they've forgotten that a house is suppose to be a home. And homes have clutter and mess. They've forgotten what really matters in life, and what matters is love, and positive energy, family, and supporting one another, helping one another be better, letting children be children and play with their toys. It's okay to make a mess sometimes. Some people have gotten so caught up in trying to be fabulous and impress their friends. They've forgotten what life is truly about. That's a damn shame, Because we only live once. And with that one chance, I'd hope everyone would live and be happy.
