Scripture Passage: Hebrews 11:1, 6 (KJV) Cross References: Romans 10:17, James 1:6-7, Matthew 17:20

Commentary: Hebrews 11:1 declares that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 6 emphasizes that without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to Him must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. These verses underscore the foundational role of faith in our relationship with God.

Romans 10:17 highlights that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This passage emphasizes the importance of immersing ourselves in God's Word to strengthen our faith.

James 1:6-7 warns against doubting when asking God for wisdom, saying that those who doubt are like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. It encourages believers to ask in faith without wavering, trusting in God's faithfulness.

Matthew 17:20 records Jesus' teaching on faith, stating that if we have faith as a grain of mustard seed, we can move mountains. This passage demonstrates the extraordinary potential of even small, genuine faith.
