First page of my new grimoire and of course it has to be about the moon! I’m so excited to do this, I’ve wanted to for so long and now that I feel confident in my religion and craft I am ready to do this. I won’t share every page as some will be highly personal (like my birth chart) but I will share some of my favorites.
Yes my handwriting is awful please ignore it

It is a place to honour the great goddess Persephónē, Queen of the Underworld to her husband Hades, and eternal maiden who brings the renewal of nature and vegetation, alongside her mother, Demeter.
Feel free to leave a note or a prayer for Her.
Note: Her name has many variations according to ancient sources: Persephónē, Persephóneia, Persephassa, Persephátta, Pherépapha, Pêriphóna, Pherséphassa, Korē… I preferred the Homeric form for the visual.
***
Note : Son nom comporte des variations selon les sources antiques : Persephónē, Persephóneia, Persephassa, Persephátta, Pherépapha, Pêriphóna, Pherséphassa, Korē… J'ai préféré la forme homérique pour le visuel.

Just set up an altar for Lord Hades and Lady Persephone. I don't have candles or statues or anything fancy yet so I just used what I had (I also added my money bowl to the altar since Lord Hades is also the God of riches)
If anyone works with/worships Persephone or Hades and has any low budget altar or offering tips they would like to share please don't be shy

My altar to Hades and Persephone <3
Tumblr media
It's not much but I worked hard on it. I also prayed to Hades for the first time in a while. I'm so happy that I'm finally able to worship him and Persephone in peace <3
The shot glass is water mixed with mint oil, the little square is mint gum (both for Hades), and there is a pine cone, rock, and coins in the center for Hades and Persephone. The bottle is an old Crown Royal bottle I filled with water for my next planned libation.
Can't afford wine so water's the next best thing.
The tarot cards are just representative of the relationship between Hades and Persephone, and the Death card is representative of endings/beginnings (end of summer, beginning of fall) also the domain that they rule together.

Who is Persephone?
Persephone, abducted by Hades, is a goddess of duality, half of her life is spent in the world of the living, as a goddess of spring and fertlity, youth, beauty and new life, and in the cold half of the year she must return to Hades as queen of the underworld, a goddess of ghosts and reincarnation, of curses and the dead.
Offerings to Persephone
- Pomegranite (seeds, juice, dried, perfumes etc) - Spring flowers (dried, in teas, im food etc)  - Pastel or black candles  - Agate, pink tourmaline, rose quartz, obsidian, black onyx - Floral perfumes  - Mint  -Images of deer or antlers, deer skulls, bones - Dead flowers (dried, preserved) - Plants that have a life cycle (not evergreens for example)

I’m so proud of the drawing I did of Her! I’ll add some prayers and hymns to her on the back of the page but felt comfortable enough sharing this. Also a lot of this is just my opinion, some is rooted in the history but please find what suits you best and how you see Her.
