matty leaving the studio early and bringing teacher girlie a travel mug of peppermint tea to the school during her lunch breaks when shes early on in the pregnancy because he knows how nauseous shes been 🥺

Oh, this is SO SWEET. I just know Matty would be doing absolutely everything he could to make sure you were as happy as you could be, pregnancy is rough as fuck (from what I've heard lmao) so he does whatever little things he can to make it better.

You've probably been violently nauseous the first trimester, the only thing you can stomach is peppermint tea and crackers. So imagine your disappointment when you get to work, and there's no peppermint tea left in the cupboard. Despite you labelling it a thousand times, someone had stolen it.

You fight the tears brewing and take a deep breath, you almost text Matty to complain to him but you are starting to feel bad about how much he is dealing with from you.

Every morning you wake up and immediately rush to the bathroom to vomit, to say the morning sickness has been bad would be the understatement of the century. And each time, despite your protests, Matty comes to sit with you. Sometimes he rubs your back or holds your hair but mostly he just sits with you. And once you're done coughing up your guts, he escorts you back to bed and doesn't let you get up until he's made you some herbal tea.

He kisses your forehead with a cheesy smile as you hands you your tea, and feels his heart flutter each time you grin up at him before taking your first sip. Matty always waits for you to take one sip, he loves the little happy wiggle you do each time. It was the little things like that that made him fall so unbelievably in love with you. And you doing those same things whilst pregnant with his child? well, lets just say the fact that he's not just staring at you lovesick all day is impressive.

But you're feeling pretty high maintenance about it all, despite Matty assuring you he would do this and more if it made you even fractionally happier. so you don't message. You take a shaky breath and shut the cupboard, going back to your classroom with no tea and trying to prepare for the energy of god knows how many 5-year-olds.

When lunch swings around and you finally get 5 minutes of silence, you once again feel like crying. God pregnancy hormones were making you a fucking mess. you felt as if your brain was swimming in them, and you weren't even that far along.

The kids had been gone for just 10 minutes when you get a knock at your door, and you assume it's one of them coming back to annoy you. You love them, but you sometimes just need time away. 

However, it was literally your job to look after them, so you plaster on a faux smile and say, “Come in!” in your fakest sweet voice. 

You can't hide the gasp of surprise that escapes you when Matty walks in, he's wearing the leather jacket and douchey rockstar sunglasses combo you loved so much, and holding your favourite travel mug. 

He pulls his glasses off with a smile, pressing a kiss on your head when he finally reaches your desk. “Hi my love, just popping in to drop you some peppermint tea. Assumed you wouldn't get a second over lunch to grab your own, and I know how nauseous you've been so I brought it from the studio for you” he softly says, leaning on your desk and stroking your cheek with his cold hands.

“But the studio is so far from here?” you say, sipping the tea happily. And Matty can't hide the Cheshire cat-like grin that pulls at his cheek when he sees you do that little happy wiggle he loves so much. 

“I know, but I had to come and see my girls! And this little one of course. Saw Annie running around like a maniac outside already” Matty rubs your stomach with a grin on his face, flicking his eyes from your face to your bump. He was obsessed with your little bump, even though you're only a few months along matty insists on having his hands on you whenever he can. 

You immediately tear up at his words, and you can't help but let them fall, borderline sobbing in the middle of your classroom over some tea.

Matty immediately snaps into overprotective dad/boyfriend mode, “Woah woah woah. Whats up sweetheart? You okay? Is the baby bothering you or something?” he crouches next to your chair and tries to wipe the tears falling down your cheeks, but they keep streaming as you blubber and sob even harder at his words. 

You try to give him a coherent response, but nothing apart from vaguely word-sounding gibberish leaves your lips, matty gives you a worried look and pulls you into his neck. Rubbing your back gently and shushing you softly, “Oh it's okay darling, whatever it is we can fix it okay? Do you not want the tea? Because I can go throw it away right now” he assures you, pulling your head from his neck and holding your face between his hands.

His worried eyes scan your features, desperately trying to figure out what made you suddenly burst into tears. You sniffle and eventually, your tears stop falling, now you just have wet pink cheeks and a slightly snotty nose.

You suck in a shaky breath before answering Matty, “No no, it's perfect. You're perfect.” you say, smiling at him with love swimming in your eyes. 

Matty smiles bashfully and goes to wave you off, but before he can start speaking again, you cut in, “No, I really mean it. You have just been the most perfect boyfriend I could ask for. I don't know how you knew I needed peppermint tea right now, but you did. And you came out of your way to bring it to me. Just love you a lot, s’all” You feel your cheeks heating up at the slightly embarrassing confession of your unbelievable love for him. But any embarrassment fades when you see the same pink flush rising on Matty's cheeks. 

Very few things felt as good as making Matty Healy blush, an almost impossible task for anyone but you.

“I love you too sweetheart,” Matty whispers back at you, leaning in to press a kiss to your lips. You quickly shoot back and shake your head at him, trying not to laugh at his disgruntled pout. 

“You can't kiss me! Im all gross and snotty” you pout back, wiping at your face and laughing at yourself.

“I don't care. You're the mother of my children, I always wanna kiss you” Matty smiles as he moves in again, and this time you don't pull back.

“I love that you’re being so clingy today, chibi~”

“Shut up. I’m freezing my ass off,” Chuuya snapped back, snuggling in closer to his partner despite himself. “And you’re warm. That’s it.”

“Aww, really? Here I thought you loved me.” Dazai let out a forlorn sigh even as he wrapped his arms around the redhead and pulled him in closer.

The two of them were snuggling under a large blanket on the couch, Chuuya sitting in Dazai’s lap and wrapped around him like a koala. Despite being the one to have the blanket actually on him, he was still shivering. The recent cold snap outside had caused some power outages in the city, and lucky them, their place was in one of the sections that lost power. Chuuya usually didn’t mind inclement weather, but right now it was hitting him hard, making him less combative than normal.

Hence his sitting in Dazai’s lap right now. And snuggling against his chest. And soaking in his warmth as much as he could.

Dazai couldn’t say that he minded.

“You look adorable, all pouty like that,” the brunette teased gently, kissing his cheek. “You know, there are some other ways we could keep warm, if you’re interested~”

Chuuya blushed, but covered it up by keeping his head firmly tucked under Dazai’s chin and growling, “I don’t want to move.”

“We don’t have to,” Dazai purred into his ear.

The redhead let out an annoyed huff, then grabbed onto the detective’s sides underneath their blankety cocoon and squeezed.

Dazai yelped, but to his credit, he never let go of Chuuya, even as the smaller man began scribbling and scratching at his sides and torso, making him giggle helplessly in his trapped position. “Chuhuhuhuhuuya…”

“I don’t know what ideas you were having when you said we could keep warm in other ways,” the mafioso teased, knowing full well what Dazai had meant, “but this is where my mind went.”

“Chihihihihihibi wahahahahants to plahahahahay, does he?” Dazai snickered, holding him closer and burying his face in his long red hair. “Fihihihihihihine by mehehehehehe.”

Chuuya tsked. “You would like this, you moron.” But his words had no bite to them, and it really was making it even warmer under the blanket.

By the time the power came back on, neither of them felt like they needed a heater anymore.

Peppermint brownie recipe? Inquiring minds want to know!

Hold onto your aprons, this is the best brownie recipe! I've had "mint brownies" others have raved about but all fail in comparison to this one.

The first layer is a super fudgy peppermint brownie base. I made these for a friend and he thought I'd made him fudge at first, it is that rich! The second layer is a peppermint frosting, which is what really gives it that peppermint kick. To top it all off is a thin layer of super dark chocolate, the bitterness helping cut through the sweetness of the rest of it. My mom originally got this recipe from someone else, so it's not a secret family recipe and we've always shared it openly with everyone. Here you go, and if you make it, let me know how it turned out!

4 squares (4oz) Baker’s unsweetened chocolate 1 c. butter Combine; melt in a double boiler (glass bowl in a pot with water in the pot). [I like to melt in a pyrex measuring cup in a pot for easy removal and pouring out-my mom has adopted this method] 4 eggs                                      ¼ tsp peppermint extract 2 c. sugar                                 1 c. flour ¼ tsp salt Grease 13 X 9 pan.  Beat eggs until bubbly and frothy (may take 2-3 min.). Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 for about 25 min. Keep checking so the edges don’t burn. Cool. Middle layer: 4 Tbsp butter, softened           2 c. confectionary sugar 2 tsp milk                                1 ½ tsp peppermint extract Whip until stiff,  but spreadable. Spread over brownies. Put in fridge. Glaze: 3 squares (3oz) Baker’s unsweetened chocolate 3 Tbsp butter (sometimes I use 4 Tbsp butter so there is a little more to spread) Melt together in double boiler (like for first layer) Dribble over and spread over middle layer of brownie. Store in fridge. Let thaw before cutting so that the top layer does not crack. Cut into 1 inch squares. Don’t serve the edge pieces. Save to eat but they don’t look as pretty—but still taste yummy.

"You squinted at the screen, trying to decipher what it was saying. You could hear only vague audio from your headpiece, and the bot was already hard to understand since its voice was so wacky. 

Well, it wasn't at all an unreasonable assumption to think that Sun had an understanding of how security cameras worked, and knew where they were hidden around the daycare. Since it was now aware you were watching, it probably was just trying to make you laugh. 

You turned to look back down at your drawing, wincing at how bad it was. It wasn't like you could do well when it was so dim in the room, right? You started to erase it, glancing back up at the screens when you saw movement in the corner of your eye. Sun had moved from one monitor to the next, waving harder. What, was it trying to get your attention? It didn't look panicked, so it couldn't be an emergency. If it wanted to chat with you, it could wait a little longer till your break. 

Staring at the clock, you yawned and wondered how much longer it'd be till you could go home. You were generally fine with night shifts, but your sleep had been interrupted by some bastard who decided to fire up his weed wacker right outside your window for like three hours. Then there was some kind of cat fight outside. Then a bird started pecking at your window. You just wanted to take a hot shower and flop right into bed.

You jumped when you looked back at the monitors, seeing that not only had Sun moved to a different one, but it'd moved around play furniture till it was high enough to stick its face right in front of the camera. It beamed when you meet eyes with it, waving with a wide smile. That was... weird. 

It almost was like it could see you."

I saw that you had a bunch of 3D refs for Korsica. Do you have any more that you can show us? Like any refs of the other characters?

I just have these. For characters it's just the main protags.

I can't show all of them since there are simply too many, but over half of my references are picked from here, which is the best resource for the game imo right next to using photo mode in-game. (I do know there's a free camera mod floating around somewhere but I haven't looked for it. maybe down the line I will)

i can show a little bit of peppermint under the cut. I've been putting together her full body reference recently. I'm still trying to figure out how to lay the textures for her model in the blender shader nodes, so she looks a bit flat haha

“You’re doing great, Lucy!” Atsushi encouraged, a gentle smile on his face as he drifted alongside the redheaded girl, who was hugging the wall of the skating rink as if her life depended on it. “You can let go now; I’ll be right here to catch you if you fall.”

Lucy huffed at him. “Easy for you to say, Mr. Catlike Balance. And don’t just say stuff like that so casually!”

“Huh?” He blinked at her, genuinely confused. “But it’s true. Come on, Lucy, you can let go.”

She grumbled under her breath, but eventually pried herself away from the wall one hand at a time, wobbling unsteadily but able to keep her balance for the most part. She attempted to push off gently, gliding forward two feet at a time.

“There you go, see? You’re a natural,” Atsushi praised, grinning, skating along beside her. It was true he was able to pick up ice skating fairly quickly thanks to his inner catlike qualities, but he thought Lucy was picking up relatively quickly in her own right, too.

“This is ridiculous,” she grumbled. “I look like a child.”

“Everyone has a first time on the ice, you know. It’s no problem. No one’s looking at you weird or anything.”

Lucy turned her head to glance around and confirm what he was saying, but the instant she did so her balance was lost, and she began to flail. Atsushi rushed forward to help her just as he promised, making sure she didn’t fall, but in her attempt to steady herself she grabbed onto the nearest thing – which happened to be the weretiger’s hips.

Had he reacted any differently, she’d have been mortified at herself. But the way he squeaked and giggled while never letting go of her only made her blink at him in surprise.

“Atsushi?” she asked. “What was that?”

“N-Nothing,” he murmured, gently guiding her hands back to the wall instead of his waist. “I’m just kind of ticklish there. You surprised me.”

Lucy stared at him, then gave him a playful smirk. “Ooh, ticklish, huh?”

Atsushi whimpered, but it was no use. She reached for him again, this time holding his waist while tickling his ribs, and he squealed with giggles again, attempting to back up but taking her with him thanks to her grip on him, and soon they were both too far away from the wall to fall back on it if need be. Others skated by them with knowing looks in their eyes, but Atsushi could only giggle and squirm in her arms.

“Luhuhuhuhucy!” he whined. “Plehehehehehease!”

“What’s the matter?” she teased back, far too pleased with herself. “Don’t cats like getting their bellies rubbed?”

He’d have argued that he was a tiger, not a cat, but he was too wrapped up in his own laughter to manage it. What had started as an ice skating lesson for Lucy quickly turned into a giggly, tickly dance on the ice for both of them.

He couldn’t quite bring himself to say he didn’t enjoy it.

anyways i really like the idea of formaggio being a bit of a domestic yandere. like he’ll keep you in this little cabin in the mountains, keep you fed and warm, he’ll do all the hard work, don’t worry about a thing! all while he’s just thinking about getting married in a few weeks and you two having a gaggle off red-and-white haired babies with your eyes. its given him a lot of hope. like doppio, i imagine he doesn’t see much of other people. it’s safe to say he fell head over heels.

so when you want to leave? no. oh, no, no, no, that won’t do… you broke his big dumb heart, darling, and he’s got an axe. good luck worming your way out of this one.

I would say he's the classical take on a yandere - sweet and doting to you that blurs the line of acceptable and creepy. You don't really know the traditions of the Peppermint Alps, you're the outsider here in this situation. He'll buy you things (like a nice warm coat, why the hell are you walking around in the cold without warmth?!), he'll show you around the snowy areas, maybe show you around his work, let you stay in his cabin, and prepare meals to you (to the best of his ability or just get takeout). He barely lets you do anything by yourself, you can't even shut the door without him coming in and asking if everything was alright. He's very much a helicopter lover.

Formaggio isn't as socialized as other people - of course, he knows his co-workers and greets them politely, there's his sister he basically takes care of, and then there's you. His parents died a while ago and he was forced to work from an early age, which is sort of the reason why he has such a childish and laid-back attitude. Sometimes he'll drink cider with his co-workers but other than that, it was work and home. When you came into his life, you were far different that the other peppermint people. You didn't look like him, you didn't have the same customs like him, and just seeing you look around his home in wonder sent butterflies to his stomach. He's never had a crush until now. Much like he protects his sister from scrutiny while she runs the lodge, Formaggio intends to keep you in check and make sure you won't get hurt...You first appeared to him without a coat and wandering the winter woods, you were bound to get yourself hurt!

But like a classic yandere - he's delusional and rather violent. Trying to tell him that you need to leave, to abandon him after everything he did for you...

"Darling...Let's talk about this...You shouldn't be doing such silly things...Your husband is gonna get worried, y'know." He'll mutter, picking up his peppermint-striped axe that gleamed dangerously in the light. "Why worry so much?...You got everything here...Let me take care of you."

Why...You never agreed to marriage. Formaggio decided that for you, as your husband.
