[Oh shit I did something. I wrote Val and Sam as podcasters. Warning: this is fucking stupid. I literally had to just stop writing bc it made less and less sense as I went on. But I love writing dialogue and it’s silly and this is tumblr. here have a little snack my dudes]
Graveyard Girls Episode 12: Roasting Ember’s Beauty Guru Era at 1 AM
“Hello and welcome to Local Ghost Smash or Pass—”
“I will fucking kill you.”
Valerie had to admit that Sam Manson’s ability to keep a completely straight face while saying the most unhinged nonsense was probably one of the reasons their video podcast was so popular. Her own ability to refrain from actually killing her was the reason it still existed at all. How they’d made it to episode twelve, however, still remained at least partially an enigma.
Though it was overall Danny’s kindness that slowly made his trio of friends into a tenuous quartet, Valerie had slowly become accepted by all of them, once she finally came to terms with Danny’s secret. Sam was the last to come around, though by the time they were both seventeen their tension was less due to fighting over a boy and more due to the fact that they could agree on almost nothing.
Most of Graveyard Girls was the two girls arguing, originally spawned by a viral TikTok Tucker posted, in which Valerie—at Danny’s bizarre request—tried to explain The Bachelor franchise to them and Sam being convinced she was making some of it up. People had been interested, and with Amity Park being a niche-but-also-hot topic, a weekly podcast was born.
“Okay but,” Sam leaned back in a vintage-looking office chair, “if I returned as a ghost, would you sma—” Sam cut herself off with a grunt as she dodged a throw pillow.
The show was mostly the two competing to see who could get the other to essentially rage quit, and while Sam’s personality was surprisingly just as strange as those of her best friends, Valerie was competitive enough to be a worthy opponent.
“You might just be, like, the worst person,” Valerie said, expertly catching the throw pillow as it was hurled back at her. “We’re not even three minutes in and I’m so uncomfortable with the energy you’ve created.”
“So our very last episode is three minutes long and titled Valerie Quits, then?”
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you Manson?” For a tense moment they stared each other down. “Say it one more time, see what happens.”
“So what is today’s topic, then?”
It was a challenge, to see if Valerie had forgotten it was her turn to start. She had.
They had the Box Ghost to thank for it, too.
“Okay, so—full disclosure,” she began, and she looked at her phone, “it is…1:16 in the morning. And both of us have been awake for like…”
“More hours than usually recommended,” Sam continued, “for reasons. We wanted to get this episode out on time so we are crunching.”
“And suffering.”
“And suffering quite a bit,” Sam concluded, nodding. “So my topic is that Ember McClain is trying to release eyeshadow palettes.”
“You cannot just drop that on me.”
“It was dropped on me,” Sam told her, “I’ve had to live with this. You don’t read the DMs for our official account so you didn’t see it and this poor lady, she has this indie cosmetics company and she slides into our DMs asking ‘is this person for real? I think she’s a ghost? She wants to collab.’”
“Collab…”
“And she sent me like…a mock up. I’m putting it in the google drive so get ready.”
Valerie picked her phone, opening their shared drive and—sure enough—seeing a digital version of a very Ember-esque palette, showcasing both dark and neon shades.
“She’s unhinged. But like…some of the shimmers on here aren’t terrible.”
“That’s the thing—I don’t like the bright blues and greens but there’s potential here. I could make a look out of it.”
“I’ve got conditions—if she wants to start the beauty guru era of her ‘career’ I need a full press release saying it’s not a complex murder plot,” Valerie said.
“I swear under penalty of perjury that I’m not imprisoning your parents in hamster wheels to power my sound system,” Sam affected an impression that would positively enrage the ghostly pop star as she spun around in her chair.
“My mad power-grab via subliminal mind control is so over, okay? That was the old me. Get to fucking swatching.” Valerie continued, snickering. “We kid, but this is actually peak influencer already.”
“We’re writing her YouTube apology for her,” Sam said, and she trained her eyes on the camera before continuing, “you cannot use this. I know you’re watching, I said your name once, and your Obsession is name-searching the universe. You have to do your own YouTube apology.”
“We should edit her name out before we upload.”
“We should.”
“…We’re not going to.”
“No, and a certain somebody’s gonna be on my ass about it. We should perhaps move on…”

fight, fight, fight , zack macewen
note, this was inspired after reading some post about how syd was nervous after watching marty fight chara. i get inspo from the weirdest things, but i had to look up who fought him in the past and i went with zack so yay! this is dedicated to @iwantahockeyhimbo cause we are both zack lovers. pair, zack macewen x reader summary, zack macewen, 6'3, gets into a fight with 6'9 giant, zdeno chara. warnings, fighting, word count, 744 words (something short and funny)
Tumblr media
(gif not mine)
You were having quite a good time, but that all quickly came tumbling down after Zack went after Mayfield. Going after Mayfield wasn't the problem, but the aftermath of the hit was the problem.
To be fair, he didn't start the fight, Chara did, but that didn't ease anything, "Holy crap." You watched in horror as everyone around you rose to their feet and cheered.
Someone put a comforting hand on your back, but it did nothing to soothe the panic you were feeling, "You idiot." You muttered, getting a couple laughs from the girls.
They punched at each other, and Zack managed to get a few good hits in before his helmet was thrown off. A couple more punches were thrown by Chara and Zack was on his knees, jersey was on the verge of coming off, and that's when the refs stepped in.
You sat down in your chair, mouth hanging open in shock as he was pushed off to the penalty box, but not before Chara made sure he was okay.
"You okay?" One of the girls asked with a laugh.
"He's the biggest idiot I've ever met in my life." 11 minutes later after the period was over and you knew Zack was in the locker room, you grabbed your phone and immediately called Zack.
"Hello?"
"You're the biggest idiot in the entire world." He laughed, "I don't know why you're laughing."
"It's funny, come on. I'm fine, he's fine, Mayfield's fine, we're all good." He tried to reassure.
"I'm hanging up now 'cause I'm mad at you."
"Well, you are the one who called."
"I hate you." You stated, then hung up.
-
"So, Zack, what was the consensus on the fight?" One of the interviewers asked.
Zack laughed, "Well, after the game, my girlfriend called."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah, she's here, so she saw everything in person, but she called me after the game and kinda chewed me out."
"I take it she's not keen on you fighting?"
"Oh, no, quite the opposite. She's the first person to cheer me on, but I think the part that really got her was the 6'9 part of it all." He joked, "I'll be in the doghouse for a bit, but it's all in good fun."
After media, he packed up all his stuff and got ready to head out. He saw you waiting by his car in the parking lot. You looked up at him from your phone and glared at him.
"Oh, come on." He laughed.
"Stop laughing. Nothing about this is funny." You punched his shoulder.

A few days later, you were on Gretchen Geraghty's, a YouTuber and one of the guys' girlfriend, podcast just to talk and have fun, "So, I've gotten some DM's after people found out you'd be on this week's episode..."
"Oh, boy..." You laughed.
"And I'm guessing my your reaction you know exactly where this is going?" She laughed.
"Is it about Zack?"
"It is about Zack?" She nodded, "For those who don't know o don't follow hockey, Zack plays hockey with Max for the Flyers, and a few days ago, Zack got into a fight with another player, and that player is like a giant."
"Oh, yeah. He's like almost 7 feet tall, and I'm not exaggerating."
"What was the consensus after the fight?"
"I got a lot of DMs from fans, and Zack got a lot from fans. Sydney Martin, Matt Martin's wife, another hockey player, tweeted about it. I woke up the next morning and was tagged in so many posts and my friends and family was just sending me memes. It was pretty great."
"I watched his post-game interview where he said you actually root for him when he fights."
"I usually do, because hockey is a sport where fighting is encouraged. And I'm obviously very nervous when he does fight, but I do root for him. This time was a little different because he was fighting a literal giant."
"Any injuries?"
"Got a bit of bruise forming." You laughed, "Nothing too serious. I made him see a doctor the day after."

OZ Rewatch 3: s3e07: Secret Identities
Okay well, I’ll just say ahead of time that this is probably (maybe) going to deteriorate once again in quality (I can barely type when I’m sober so add alcohol and I’m FUCKED looool
Plotlines:
Keller continues to fuck with Sister Pete, standing her up
Alvarez finally meets face to face with Rivera
Sister Pete confronts Keller about him manipulating her and tells Mukada she is leaving the convent
Glynn tries to interrogate the Latinos abut the drugs
Carlo’s sister tries to see him. McManus gives the note from her to Carlo to Lopresti who throws it away
Hughes being a bitch. Elbows Diane in the face. Glynn finally tells Hughs what happened.
Dianne kisses McManus as some kind of power play against Claire
Nappa finishes his true crime book and is killed by Nat
Adebisi gets Wangler to accuse McManus of sexual harassment
Shirley asks to see McManus and ask about methods of death; Shirley averts the death penalty by being pregos
Boxing lead up: Cyril out of control ! He’s fighting Jaz; Aebisi wants to align with the Muslims, make it a race thing
Khan v Cramer; Khan wins
Toby and Said!! Keller does not like
Said is humbled, tells Khan
Toby forgives Keller but no homo lol so Keller wants to kill Said (BOO); Tobias apologises to Schillinger like a stupid person; FIGHT!! Weewoo weewoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sister: Is this a hallucination... Oh thank God.
Tumblr media
Sister: Oh, i thought he was dead. I’m so used to people just appearing like that in this show.
Tumblr media
Sister: Why wouldn’t you be able to have a kid? He’s only blind. It’s not like she wouldn’t be able to see the kid. I feel like she’s making this harder on him than it has to be… [schoolmate]’s dad was blind and he had two kids, remember? I don’t get this.
Tumblr media
Sister: No, he saved his cajones.
Tumblr media
Sister: (as Chris) That’s why I’m manipulating you
Tumblr media
Sister: yeah, let’s just give it to the guys who are definitely going to throw it away. (Lopresti throws away the note) Sister: Thank youuu. Did exactly what I said he was going to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He would so get into conspiracy theories. Or true crime podcasts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sister: (as Glynn) Because I’ve been getting it on with the priest. Me: You’re still on that?! Sister: Because he doth protest too much!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sister: She’s going to say that now but when she’s actually there, she’s gonna be like “this sucks, I change my mind”
Tumblr media
Sister: THAT’S "Little Anthony"?!
To be honest there wasn’t much commentary this episode because Sisters was smacked halfway in lol and she gets real quiet. I feel like the episode flew by though. Felt shorter than most, and maybe it is, at 56 minutes.
Final Thoughts:
Sister: This episode felt kinda short. That one part where he touched the boob… no thank you. That one lady (Tina) did not need to be there. Like she needed to go eat a bagel or something, like she was making it worse. Me: Who’s your favorite character right now? Sister: Mr. Nappa Cabbage. So sad… We even bought a Nappa cabbage right now but I haven’t even eaten it Me: Miguel? Sister: He’s not even in this episode… Me: He talked to Eugene. Sister: Which was a waste of time. It was so stupid. [Rant about Tina] Me: What do you think about what’s going to happen? Sister: With what? The baby? Me: Next episode is the last episode. Sister: They’re just gonna redo the coup. Replay the glory of season 1. Someone’s going to get maimed, but I don’t think it’ll be those three guys (Toby, Said, Keller) ‘cause they just got got this episode. Me: Well they still have the boxing matches. Sister: I don’t like those. I’m just there for the fashion. Seeing what the gays wore. No good hair, though. I think the one gay in the leather (Fiona) should’ve had Betty Boop hair…
Stray Thoughts
Kinda amazing that Pancamo crushed that floppy disk in one hand
Keller was looking at a website about high school GED equivalencies, suggesting that he doesn’t have one
No Chico this episode. Big L.. Woulda loved to see him doing the Que routine lol

Exploring the Pandora's Box: Unraveling the Intricacies of Spotify Premium APK
Tumblr media
In the digital age, music has transcended its conventional boundaries, seamlessly integrating into our daily lives through streaming platforms. Among these, Spotify stands out as a titan, offering a vast library of songs, podcasts, and playlists at users' fingertips. However, for some, the allure of premium features without the subscription fee has led them down the path of seeking Spotify Premium APK.
Understanding Spotify Premium APK
Spotify Premium APK refers to a modified version of the Spotify app, granting users access to premium features without the necessity of a paid subscription. These features include ad-free listening, unlimited skips, offline listening, and higher audio quality. While the official Spotify Premium subscription comes with a monthly fee, the APK version presents itself as a free alternative.
The Appeal of Spotify Premium APK
The allure of Spotify Premium APK lies in its promise of unlocking premium features without financial commitment. For users who may not afford a subscription or are hesitant to pay, this offers an enticing opportunity. Moreover, it caters to individuals in regions where Spotify may not be officially available or where subscription fees pose a significant financial burden.
Risks and Ethical Considerations
However, the use of Spotify Premium APK raises several ethical and legal concerns. Firstly, it infringes upon Spotify's terms of service and copyright policies. By accessing premium features without payment, users are essentially circumventing the platform's revenue model, impacting artists' earnings and the sustainability of the music industry.
Furthermore, downloading and installing APK files from unofficial sources exposes users to potential security risks. These files may contain malware, spyware, or other malicious software, compromising the user's device and personal data. Additionally, since the APK version lacks official support and updates, users may encounter compatibility issues or miss out on new features and improvements.
Legal Implications and Consequences
From a legal standpoint, distributing and using Spotify Premium APK constitutes copyright infringement and violates intellectual property laws. While the legal repercussions for individual users may vary depending on jurisdiction and enforcement, they could face penalties such as account suspension, legal action, or fines.
Moreover, the proliferation of unofficial APK versions undermines the legitimacy of streaming platforms and discourages investment in original content creation. This, in turn, hampers the growth of the music industry and diminishes artists' incentives to produce new music.
Exploring Alternatives and Solutions
Rather than resorting to unauthorized means, users can explore alternative avenues to access music legally and ethically. Spotify offers a free tier supported by ads, providing access to a vast catalog of songs and podcasts. While it comes with certain limitations, such as ad interruptions and limited skips, it remains a viable option for those unwilling or unable to pay for a premium subscription.
Furthermore, users can consider subscribing to Spotify Premium or exploring other legitimate streaming services that offer similar features. Platforms like Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal provide competitive alternatives with their own unique offerings and subscription models.
Conclusion
In the digital landscape of music streaming, the temptation to unlock premium features through Spotify Premium APK may seem alluring. However, it comes with ethical, legal, and security risks that warrant careful consideration. By adhering to legal and ethical standards, supporting artists, and exploring legitimate alternatives, users can contribute to the sustainability and integrity of the music industry while enjoying their favorite tunes responsibly. Ultimately, the harmony of convenience and conscience is essential in navigating the ever-evolving realm of digital music consumption.

QUICK FACTS
Trigger Warnings: Divorce
Born and raised in Briar Ridge. Her dad was a mailman and her mother was a hospital receptionist. With busy parents and being the oldest, Wyatt often found herself feeling like she needed to set an example, something she has only recently begun to let go of
She has a younger sister and a younger brother.
She has a good relationship with them but they aren’t as close as she’d like. She gets on well with her parents, she just doesn’t see them that often after they moved to Charlotte.
She was more popular than studious at school but after breaking her leg and discovering physical therapy, she knew she wanted to pursue the career herself. From that point, she knuckled down and worked hard to get the grades to go to college.
Studied and got her degree in occupational therapy, but with a small client base in Briar Ridge, she got her qualifications to become a fitness instructor as well. To keep her loans and costs down, she went to college in Charleston so she could live and work at home to try and put herself through college as much as possible.
After she graduated, her parents decided they were going to move to Charlotte, her father’s hometown to be closer to his parents as they needed extra care in their older age. Wyatt decided to stay in Briar Ridge with her husband and they moved into an apartment together.
She got married at 20, a part of her knew it wasn’t right at the time, but she convinced herself to go through with it.
They split when she was 23 and their divorce was finalised when she was 24. The whole experience helped shape who she is today and she is a firm believer that you should always do what’s best for you, even if the decision is scary. (Inspired by Rolling up the welcome mat by Kelsea Ballerini.)
She did love him, but she wasn’t sure marriage was for her but pushed this to the side to make him happy.
She’s loyal, almost to a fault and this has worked against her, even in her marriage as her loyalty to him made her go through with the marriage, not her overwhelming love for him. It has taken her a while to cut off people in her life who don’t bring her joy and if she sees them, she still feels bad about it.
She mainly focuses on running fitness classes now and to supplement her income, she does private occupational therapy, still her first love, and bartending.
Didn’t grow up with much and has a serious complex about money. She doesn’t need to work 3 jobs, but she does to make sure she always has a fullback and enough money in her bank account to cover multiple emergencies, just in case.
She has a strong work ethic and often wonders if there’s any hobbies she has she can make money from as well.
HEADCANONS
She is rarely without a coffee or a bottle of water. If there is one thing Wyatt is religious about, it’s drinking three litres of water a day.
She loves the smell of lemons and grapefruit.
She starts every Sunday morning with a chocolate croissant.
She loves to upcycle furniture and a lot of her apartment is decorated with pieces she has found and refurbished herself.
She isn’t an extravagant spender, but when it comes to her haircare and skincare, she just doesn’t look at the number on the Sephora bill. She also changes her hair up a lot by getting highlights or balayage done.
Is pretty much constantly in gym wear and a ponytail as she works so much. Otherwise, she’s in jeans and a ribbed top. She loves ribbed clothing more than she loves most things in life.
She is obsessed with a sudoku app she found on her phone.
She has PCOS and is passionate about helping other women with the condition.
She is rarely without a smile but it doesn’t take long to push her over the edge.
Wyatt has a great singing voice but she will only song if she's alone or she's had at least four martinis.
POSSIBLE WANTED CONNECTIONS
Her younger siblings, she has a sister and a brother
Her ex husband
Colleagues
Clients
Neighbours
Former roommate
Cousins

“Noble Champions” Podcast W/Santigold Asks “What Exactly Is Black Music?”
Philadelphia is definitely on a roll. The Phillies made it to baseball’s World Series and shocked the pundits. Football’s Eagles are undefeated at this point, and soccer’s MLS Union team was penalty kicks away from winning the league championship.
In podcasting, Philadelphia’s own musical champ, Santigold (aka Santi White), is now hosting a podcast from Talkhouse called Noble Champions. Santigold once described her music as, “spanning punk rock, hip-hop, and dance music,” and her genre bending talent may be a major reason why she’s been a force in the music business for more than14 years.
In the second episode of Noble Champions, Santigold is joined by longtime friends Questlove, Angela Yee and Tunde Adebimpe to try to tackle the question, “What exactly is Black Music?”
Tumblr media
They discuss what happens when Black artists step out of the genre box, as well as the bigger impact of caging in music and those who make it. They also geek out on Bad Brains, Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, The Last Poets and more you can check out here: https://pod.link/NobleChampions
The next episode of Noble Champions will welcome Olivia Wilde, and the season includes artists, activists and innovative thinkers like Idris Elba, Saul Williams and many others. The podcast’s title is inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, who was a Russian painter and art theorist. Kandinsky is generally credited as one of the pioneers of abstraction in western art. Kandinsky once said that periods during which art has no noble champions are ones of retrogression. Santigold and “fellow champions” try to make sense out of our world, and push culture forward.
Talkhouse has been become known for artist-centric, first-person programming with Santigold’s Noble Champions, as well as Kimbra’s Playing With Fire podcast. Talkhouse’s recent podcast series also include Björk: Sonic Symbolism and Listening, plus new seasons from Sing For Science, That’s How I Remember It With Craig Finn, and the recent addition of A Little Bit Culty.

Are You Committing A Foot Fault?
Something a lot of newer players don’t think about when they are playing disc golf is where their feet are at when they are throwing or putting a disc.
I know when I started playing I didn’t give it much thought and I remember one time a guy I was playing with would jump forward from the tee pad and release the disc while flying through the air.
I didn’t give it another thought until I started watching professionals play. It was during one of these tournaments I was watching on youtube that player was called for a foot fault.
I remember rewinding the video and saying to myself “Did they say foot fault?”
After watching more tournament videos, listening to disc golf podcasts and doing research online, did I finally realize what a foot fault was? I created this article so you don’t have to do all the research on your own.
Inside The Circle
While your inside of the putting circle, after you have released your disc you must demonstrate full control of your balance before you move toward the basket.
If you fail to do this, you have committed a foot fault and will receive a penalty. The important thing to keep in mind about this is control of balance.
For instance, if you are putting and lose your balance and step on your lie, you have foot faulted. Here is a great video that demonstrations this:
Notice how he gives examples of showing that you have balance after putting.
You can pause, reach for your mini or place your back foot down before moving forward, all of which will demonstrate you have balance before moving forward.
For more information on this rule read section 806.01 of the Official Rules of Disc Golf. You can find it here.
Teeing Off
Depending on where you are on the course the rules about where your feet must be while throwing can change. We’ve looked at putting already and now we’re going to transition to driving.
If you are throwing from the tee box, you must have at least one supporting point touching the tee box during the moment the disc is released.
You also must have all your supporting points within the tee area during the release.
So basically this seems that you must have one foot touching the tee area at the time the disc leaves your hand and that your other foot doesn’t need to be touching the tee area but can’t be outside of it.
Something else to note is that you are allowed to have one foot outside the teeing area before or after the release, just not at the exact moment of release. If you break this rule the result will be a stroke penalty.
For more information on this rule read section 802.04 of the Official Rules of Disc Golf. You can find it here.
Throwing From Your Lie
If you are always throwing from the tee box to the putting circle, you can skip this section. For the rest of us, we will be throwing from our lie after we’ve driven quite often.
In this case, you must have at least one supporting point in contact with your lie.
In addition, you can’t have any supporting points closer to the basket than the read edge of your disc or your marker (depending on if you use a marker).
This means that if you supporting foot is placed outside the lie during your throw you will receive a penalty stroke.
So if you were to throw your disc with your foot on or over your marker, you could be called with a penalty and receive stroke.
Likewise, if you were to throw your disc behind you lie (this might make sense if you were right behind an obstacle) you could be called for it and get a penalty.
For more information on this rule read section 802.07 of the Official Rules of Disc Golf. You can find it here.
The Lie
So far we’ve talked a lot about foot placement and throwing from your lie. If you aren’t sure what I mean by this, your lie is the place on the ground where you are taking your stance in order to throw your disc.
If we aren’t talking about the tee pad or a drop zone, the lie is an imaginary 20cm wide by 30 cm deep rectangle centered behind your marker.
Again, during your throw, if you don’t have one foot in contact with this area you can be called for a foot fault and get a stroke penalty.
For more information on this rule read section 802.05 of the Official Rules of Disc Golf. You can find it here.
Marking Your Lie
If you are throwing from you lie in the fairway, it’s perfectly okay to use your disc has the marker. Simply live your disc where it lies and take your next shot.
If you wish to use a mini to maker your lie, you must do it in a specific way. You must place your mini directly in front of your disc and it must be touching your disc.
In front is in reference to the basket. If you mark your lie incorrectly, the first violation will result in a warning but if you continue to do this you will recievea pently stroke for each volitoion during the round.
Here a great video of Eric McCabe showing you how it’s done:
For more information on this rule read section 802.06 of the Official Rules of Disc Golf. You can find it here.
Final Thoughts
If you are playing casual rounds with your friends, you might not be concerned with the rules of foot placement.
After all, we’re playing disc golf to have fun but if you are interested in playing by the rules or if you want to start playing in tournaments you’ll want to make sure you aren’t foot faulting.
Adding unnecessary strokes to your score isn’t going to help you win. If you have further questions about the rules of foot placement or any other disc golf rule I suggested you check out the official rules of disc golf put out by the PDGA.
This is a great resource and you’ll be able to find any answer to your questions about the rules of disc gol

Tips for On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO
Consider the technical, on-page, and off-page search engine optimization (SEO) of your website as your preferred method of communicating with Google. Delivering relevant and authentic material to users is the goal of search engines. You effectively make it simpler for Google and other search engines to classify your website by checking the SEO boxes (those are under your control).
Knowing what the algorithms are looking for also helps you make improvements to your website and plan out future marketing campaigns more effectively.
But first, let’s look about all the three types of SEO:
On-Page SEO:- As the name implies, it includes all the beneficial SEO techniques you may apply on the pages of your actual website, such as using relevant keywords, creating original content, and carefully saving and labelling images.
Off-Page SEO:- This you can do outside your website by getting the links from more reliable and authoritative website. For e.g. you could write a blog post and in return you can ask for backlink.
Technical SEO:-  Your website must adhere to all the technical requirements that Google has approved, including security, stability, mobile responsiveness, etc.
Top 3 On-Page SEO tips:
Produce high-quality, audience-relevant content: Make sure all of the materials you use on your website (text, photographs, videos, vlogs, infographics, etc.) are original, fascinating, and educational.
Write meaningful title tags and meta descriptions: The brief sentence that appears alongside your meta title tag in search results is known as the meta description. Here, emphasise the most important details and pertinent keyword(s).
Utilize pertinent keywords: Do some research to find the words or phrases that best represent the content of each page, then use them in the headers and alt text of your photos.
Top 3 Off-Page SEO tips:
Produce informative, interesting, and shareable content: For various platforms, produce excellent podcasts, videos, blogs, infographics, guest blogs, ebooks, surveys, and white papers.
Obtain reviews, be active on social media, send newsletters to your subscribers, host and/or attend events, join forums, find an influencer, etc. to manage your reputation.
Create a Google My Business account and take full advantage of this free tool to improve local SEO. Add pictures, respond to inquiries, and invite your clients to leave feedback there. Additionally, a regional domain name, such as .newyork, .london, .newdelhi can help with this.
Top 3 Technical SEO tips:
Put money toward a secure connection: Any browser that visits your website will have their communication with it encrypted using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Additionally, it will increase confidence because your URL will be displayed as "secure" with a padlock or as "https."
Verify the responsiveness of your website: What kind of mobile UI does your website have? Did you know that Google prioritizes mobile devices when indexing search results? Make sure your website doesn't receive a penalty by involving your web developer.
Verify your page loading times; a website with a high bounce rate may take more than two seconds to load. Search engines and users both dislike a slow website. Invest in the best local web hosting and ensure that your image files are scaled for the web to increase loading times.
SEO could become quite complex at a time. So it’s a great idea to get an expert once your business can afford it.

WTNV Quick Rundown - 7 - History Week
Hello again! To catch up with previous (or future, I guess? depending on when you're reading this) rundowns, click here or go to my blog and look under the tag #wtnv quick rundown
This is a series where I take a look at each episode of the podcast and each live show (where able) and write you, dear reader, old fan or new, a nice bulletpoint list of lore, facts, quotes and interesting things so you don't have to go through the whole thing yourself if you don't want to or can't. Let's begin!
It is almost complete. It is almost complete. At last. Welcome to Night Vale.
It's History Week in Night Vale. Time to, as City Council says, “Poke about in the black recesses of the past until it devours our fragile present.” Cecil's contribution is to basically infodump some Night Vale lore such as-!
Night Vale has evidence of settlers as early as 4000BC, as well as dark figures that would watch them from the distance. The cave paintings in Night Vale however have been mostly power-washed away by someone who 'on religious grounds' did not believe in the past.
The first white men arrived in 1745. There were four parties of explorers who looked at the terrible waterless desert and moved on, but the final party shrugged and decided to stay. (Cecil once more insults Desert Bluffs for just kinda existing, he lived on spite back in this time lol).
In 1824 there was the first meeting of the Town Elder Council, the predecessor of the City Council. They were crimson robes and soft meat crowns (as previously mentioned). In this meeting they invented several things which Night Vale still uses such as the City Council membership, their 'lovely byzantine' tax system and brutal penalties for mistakes and the official town song, chant and moan. Cecil is to report for re-education the next day for saying this. 'Oh dear' he remarks.
In 1943, everyone in Night Vale chanted for the USA's victory in the war and maintained the belief that their chanting was a deciding factor in the victory. City Council erected a seven story monument in Grove Park saying so, until a federal lawsuit made them take it down (the outside world is aware of NV??).
In 2052, The Scion of the Dark Order will descend, realize he mistimed the prophecy, and re-ascend. The seventh siege of the Great Night Vale Temple will rage on. The plague of buzzing boils will kill thousands, and annoy thousands more with its buzzing. The City Council will reveal its true form and eat half of Night Vale’s population. Approval ratings for the mayor will hover in the low 40s, which will be surprising, as there will have been no mayor for over thirty years.
Cecil also tells us what he did 'yesterday'. Basically just ordinary stuff, except for Old Woman Josie digging up a box from her garden and then burying it somewhere else.
The Night Vale Tourism Board(NVTB) director is called Madeline LeFleur. She is asking that whoever is telepathically attacking tourists to please stop. If you have information on who or what is doing it (thus reducing tourists and the money they bring) you will receive a free puppy. The downtown municipal offices are overrun with puppies.
'The Apache Tracker' has vanished, which Cecil is glad for because he 'made the whole town look ignorant and racist'. His home is also gone, replaced by bucolic meadow that neighbourhood children refuse to enter.
Crews from the Department of Public Safety will be repainting highway lane markers. Designed by contemporary artists Kara Walker: White dashes and double-yellow lane dividers will be replaced with colourful ceramic mosaics depicting disgruntled South American workers rising en masse against an abusive capitalist hegemony. Protective steel barriers will be replaced by provocative butcher-paper silhouettes of slavery-era self-mutilation, reflective of centuries of slow genocide and dehumanization by western imperialists.
Exits 15 to 17 along Route 800 will be closed for the next two Saturdays because of the biennial Lee Marvin Film Retrospective. Lee Marvin is, for some reason, pretty significant to NV lore.
Many citizens are dissatisfied with the NV library because: the public computers for internet use are outdated and slow, the lending period of 14 days is not nearly long enough to read lengthier books, the fatality rate is well above the national average for public libraries, the library bloodstone circle does not appear to have seen any maintenance or cleaning in some time, there are reports of a faceless spectre moving about the biographies section, picking off lone browsers one by one and that biographies section is far too small and contains 33 copies of the official biography of Helen Hunt, and no other books.
There is then a significantly long section parodying ideas about gun control as the NV High School is implementing metal detectors. The shadow government apparently gives all kids uzi's and rifles and the metal detectors are bad apparently it infringes on 'this clandestine operation's rights as a vast underground conspiracy of giant mega-corporations and corrupt world leaders to bear arms via teenage paramilitary proxies.'
The school board argues that those without firearms won't use them and will instead actually get an education.
Cecil is outraged at the idea of taking away the firearms. But he also says that “Praise the beams; Praise o ye knowing beams that guide our lives, our hearts, our souls. Praise o highest to ye all-powerful beams!” is part of the pledge of allegiance so yeah pinch of salt due to the commentary aspect of NV.
And now for a word from our sponsors. That word is “carp.”
Weather: "Despite What You've Been Told" by Two Gallants, twogallants.com
The Night Vale Business Association says that the Night Vale Harbor and Waterfront Recreation Area did not ever actually exist. It was a shared hallucination effecting everyone. They are proud to declare that they have never suffered any sort of disastrous business failure or lost massive amounts of money building waterfront facilities in a desert. They recommend consulting your dream interpretation manuals to determine exactly what this Night Vale Harbour vision could mean. They also said that if you happen to stumble on the waterfront buildings out in the desert exactly where you remembered them and they seem real, that’s because you are still hallucinating and should seek medical treatment or have a 'member' of the City Council howl at you if you are of the olden faith and do not believe in modern medicine.
But most importantly: all of us, all of us here in Night Vale, in America, in the world, in the secret orbital bases, all of us got through another day. We passed the time, from one end of twelve to the other, without stopping once. Well done, us. Good job, people who experience time. Time experiencers, good job. And, from this moment in history, the one that’s happening right now, good night. - why didn't he sign off right HISSSS

Today I’m sharing the 50th episode of The End of Sport podcast: Harm and Hockey with Rick Westhead. Westhead’s documentary "The Problem of Pain" reveals how pervasive pain is for hockey players and how complicit the league is in concealing that harm through the use of medication that ultimately only compounds the damage done.
This is a super informative podcast episode and I highly recommend a listen!
[00:10:42] Documentary: The Problem of Pain
[00:16:41] Pain and injury in the NHL.
[00:19:29] Has players voiced concern over the role of fighting?
[00:21:58] There is a Price To Pay promo
[00:25:55] Did players sign up for the role of Enforcers?
[00:31:47] The hockey’s team-first culture and being afraid of speaking out
[00:47:07] Sports media’s responsibility of asking harder questions and demanding transparency
[00:56:20] how to negotiate the fandom in hockey while uncovering the dark sides of the sports?
Excerpt:
Q: You said pain and injury is a feature, not a bug. I'd love to hear you elaborate on how you understand pain and injury in that way in the NHL experience.
Westhead: The NHL makes money off this. This is a league that has always marketed violence. The New York Rangers owner years ago would park ambulances outside of the arena to draw fans in. The NHL has had multiple opportunities to study the health, physical, mental health of retirees. And every time they've had this opportunity, something's happened and they've just either passed it on or it just doesn't happen.
But that's remarkable to me because it's a league that loves research. In recent years I uncovered a series of internal NHL emails. The NHL was the defendant in a class action lawsuit which ultimately failed. And I went to court to ask the judge to unseal a huge cache of internal emails. One of the things that was unsealed was an email string from 2009, and it showed a PowerPoint presentation from the meeting of NHL GMs. This presentation outlined how there was music in at least five percent of the fights in the NHL games, so they looked at some of the different techniques that the teams had for getting fans more into the game during fighting: boxing bills being run before the punches were thrown, drums or cymbals every time a home player landed a punch. Which songs did the best job of whipping people up: Sunday Bloody Sunday from U2, We Salute You from ACDC, Fight for Your Right from Beastie Boys. And this was not done casually or just for fun. This was market research that the NHL was doing to try to figure out what was the best technique to have their fans more invested in what they were trying to sell them.
Some of the other emails that I found from the NHL, you have high-level executives like Colin Campbell in the NHL talking about how the league is sick and tired of being over-doctored. Imagine that the head of the Canadian Medical Association, neurologists with decades of experience that want to offer insight into how you can better keep your players safe. And the response from these executives is get lost. We're tired of being over doctored.
You have former players who are general managers in hockey saying, “we shouldn't be bringing the stretchers out on the ice to take off players. It looks too dramatic.” You've got a former player who's a general manager saying, “I wonder if these guys when they're clutching their heads after a hit in the corner, if they're just trying to draw a penalty and maybe get two weeks off during the season.”
It's almost hard to believe. How could a former player, one of the guys who was part of this pack, say things like that. It's just hard to fathom.
