The funny thing about WTNV is that it's so unlike typical horror that it's impossible to tell whether this 'Willy Wonka but make it Candle Cove' character is actually sinister, or just appears to be but is actually completely innocent.

Like if this was TMA I would have no doubts at all that these kids were in deep trouble.

But in WTNV? Who knows. The ambiguity, the uncertainty of it all, increases how unsettling the entire situation is.

The captain has turned off the seatbelt signs, and has turned on the ceaseless anxiety signs. Feel free to brood about the cabin. Welcome to Night Vale.

Cecil's new sponsor is love, as a counter to money. Cecil seems a little unenthused about this.

Cecil's wants to use science to combat eGemony but Carlos is currently at a science conference out of town, so he's hoping to be able to do it himself.

Cecil is noticing a increased outpouring of love in town. Baristas are treating him with more friendly behaviour. Michelle is actually playing tracks she loves on loud speakers. More people are falling for each other at first sight, government agents are offering hugs, former billionaire and now angel Marcus 'Erika' Vanston plots an 'trickle down' design for feelings, Cecil is full of love for every part of his job and someone calls in repeatedly to say they love Cecil.

Hugh comes in and says he no longer cares about the case of Canadian Club, or distilling NV's soul for eGemony. He has fallen in love with a spider who works at the post office and is determined to get her to love him back. So instead he wants to start turning NV's love into a brand. Cecil reveals a case of Canadian Club and tells him that this is the right case. The explaination isn't the most coherent but it is convincing. Hugh and eGemony leave, disappointed, with the case.

Cecil then reveals that he bought it himself at the Ralph's and that he is once more sponsored by money.

Weather: "Turn Into It" by Jamey Browning

The NV community college is now delivering courses on; introduction to gibbering, conversational gibbering, intermediate gibbering, advanced gibbering and ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement.

Professor Adriano Capiello (French gibbering teacher) has developed a 'charisma ray' to get people to like him, but as the students use what he's teaching them to gain critical thinking skills it becomes useless and allows them to accurately assess him as a terrible person who hides behind falseness to gain their affection.

There is a 'guy with a dogs head' who is always at the post office.

The post office also carries 'forever stamps' some of which have Wonder Woman on them.

Intern Blake dies in this episode and is replaced, instantly it seems, by Intern Makani.
