Haley - This was hard. While I love Brooke's growth and who she becomes after high school, I did not always like her. I questioned some of Haley's decisions, but I always liked her, and I think she was a genuinely good person throughout.

Elijah - Disclaimer: I have not watched The Originals. I love the way Klaus is with Caroline, but he's chaotic and monstrous, like he's throwing tantrums, in TVD other than that. Elijah is calm, collected and monstrous (which is scarier imo), but he's also respectful and sophisticated.

Caroline/Tyler - I just don't like Stefan.

Leyton - Lucas and Peyton are my OTP. I like Naley well enough, but Lucas and Peyton are epic. To quote one of my other faves, Logan Echolls, "Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined, bloodshed. EPIC."

Dair - I love all things Blair. Period.

The O.C. - This one really depends on my mood. The O.C. is like a warm hug every episode. There's drama, but it doesn't overwhelm most of the time. The Cohens are just wholesome, and Ryan getting that life makes me happy. One Tree Hill is angsty ALL THE TIME, which is fine when I am not battling anxiety but not when I need comfort.

Luke - I love how he is with Lorelai and Rory, that he grudgingly loves Stars Hollow, and that he's always helping people even if he gripes about it.

One more Veronica Mars rant

Ok look, I'm not gonna lie, I kind of ship Leo and Veronica... a lot. I wanted to see them get to each other in the revival. I think that had Veronica decided to leave Neptune for good, rather than indulge her addiction, she would have ended up with a career in the FBI, something that she was ambitious and excited about, and she and Leo would be sleuthing together, happily ever after. Leo and Veronica have a yin and yang type of dynamic, which I find would have been healthier than Veronica and Logan's. I think that Veronica and Logan are too similar, and can be very toxic to each other. They don't always bring out the best in one another. Their relationship may be epic, even their ship name is perfect - LoVe, but it results in a bit too much bloodshed. It's a lot of unhealthy drama.

But then. Then season 4 showed us an emotionally mature Logan, who was doing his best to reign in his anger and be who Veronica always said she wanted him to be. A man of integrity, a man who was calm and approached things rationally. A man who was in therapy and learned how to communicate both his needs and his frustrations. A man who saw the emotional baggage and psychological issues the love of his life lived with, and thus actively encouraged her to seek out professional help. Not only because it was self destructive but because it made him regress into a person he no longer wanted to be. Logan may have started seeing a therapist in order to work out his issues so that he can be who Veronica wanted, but he continued because he was becoming someone he himself was proud of.

Logan Echolls deserved so. much. more. He survived every obstacle, lived up to and surpassed Veronica's expectations, and ended up being one of the best developed and emotionally mature male characters TV has seen in decades. If his relationship with Veronica needed to end it should never have been because he was murdered. It should have ended based on the fact that Veronica is the toxic one and Logan needs to protect his own mental health. I think that Rob Thomas was just afraid of writing Veronica as the toxic one, and thus as the catalyst for the end of their love story, so he opted for the easier method of ending a relationship: death. Killing Logan was not a necessity. It was a cop out.

Before, all he wanted to do was fuck. With Cece that isn’t the case though. With Cece, he wanted to kiss her, tease her, and all around please her. At first, he didn’t know why, but now he’s pretty sure it’s cause he loves her. He loves her so fucking much, and he honestly doesn’t feel an ounce of shame because of it. Nor is he scared she’ll leave him. 

“Laughing burns calories, too - you know?” he told her, once he pulled away from their kiss, her hands reach down to tickle her. Cece squirmed and laughed, before pushing his hands away from her and telling him to stop. Of course, he does stop. But he loves the sound of her voice and the fact that he’s managed to make a point. “With the amount of times I get you to do both, I’m surprised you haven’t poofed into thin air.” He’s the one laughing now. Laughing hard.

Gonna put a read more cut here to avoid potential spoilers for X-Men, BTVS, Daredevil, iZombie, Kingsman, TVD, The Untamed, Veronica Mars, and the MCU.

First Ship: Rogue x Gambit

Comic books were really my first foray into the world of shipping. I grew up on Marvel comics, and my favorites involved the X-Men teams. They were stuffed full of angst and drama and various couplings would come and go. But my first ship was Rogue and Gambit. They were the angstiest of all couples! She literally could not touch him without sucking the life out of him! How could they ever be together? I mean, I guess they eventually worked it out, since at some point in the comics timeline they actually got married, but for a verrrry long time they were a big "will they, won't they" couple that I adored.

First OTP: Buffy x Angel

Another angsty couple. A recurring theme in my shipping! This is the big one, the be-all, end-all of my ships. My OTP, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her vampire paramour, Angel.

Yes, I still sob at the season 2 finale, and no, I don't want to talk about it.

Your ship since the first minute: Matt x Claire

The chemistry between these two was palpable, burning up the screen from their very first interaction. Claire is one of my favorite characters from the Netflix MCU shows - I love a no-nonsense woman who is good as fuck at her job and stands up against the superheroes who insist they need to do things on their own (why are they always so stubborn?). Daredevil the show might be no more, but I still love these two.

Ship(s) you wish had become endgame: Liv x Lowell

Ohhhh, Lowell. 😭Gone too soon. He and Liv made such a great pair! Two smart, sexy zombies just trying to solve a mystery together. The way he bravely sacrificed himself to help her... ughhhhhh, when I think of what could have been if he'd only survived!

Ship you wish was canon: Roxy x Merlin

Ok, listen, I *know*. There's an age gap to consider, and also the fact that they barely have any interactions in the movies, and then for this to work, the entire second film would basically have to not exist. But I'm ok with all that. Because once I read this amazing fanfic that paired them and ever since then, I've been on Team Roxlin, full steam.

Ship that most of the fandom hates but you love: Stefan x Caroline

Everyone's always "Klaroline this" or "Stelena that," but I just ignore them and focus on my favorite pair, Steroline. Their love blossomed over the years from a true friendship, and there's something so beautiful and rare about that on a show like The Vampire Diaries. Step aside, Klaus, Stefan is her one true love!

You don't even watch the show, but you ship it: Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji

The Untamed is in my queue to watch some day, I swear. I know I have a ton of friends who love it, so there are always gifs of it crossing my dash. I don't know anything about these two, except they're gorgeous and there seems to be a lot of longing going on and I'm here for it!

Ship you wish had a different storyline: Veronica x Logan

Veronica Mars: 

My NOTP for them- Duncan! I have an aversion to love interests who act like cardboard. He also couldn’t settle into a personality, and was boring when he wasn’t doing stuff like running off to Mexico with his ex-girlfriends baby. 

My BROTP for them- Gotta go with Wallace (though I do love Mac). They have the best friendship, even if its a little lopsided at times, with Wallace doing a lot of the friendship heavy lifting. 

My OTP for them- Logan of course. I’ve got a type when it comes to OTPs and it’s spanning years, continents, lives ruined, bloodshed, epic. 

My second choice pairing for them- Weevil! I’m forever sad they didn’t go there. I love Weevil, and he would’ve been a worthy otherside of the love triangle from Logan. Duncan and Piz never stood a chance, but Weevil could’ve made me waver in my OTP allegiances. 

My fluffy pairing for them- Look Piz was boring, but pretty fluffy as things go. 

My angsty pairing for them- Logan, duh. Doesn’t get a lot more angsty than that. 

My favorite poly ship for them- Veronica/Logan/Weevil. Listen, Logan and Weevil had a lot of chemistry ok! In the episode where they had detention together and every time they got in fights it was super unclear where things were going. 

My weirdest pairing for them- idk, I guess Veronica/Mac? I don’t know how weird that is in terms of pairings, but I would’ve been into it. In the movie Mac is definitely sporting an alternative lifestyles haircut, so you never know. VM was severely lacking in queer rep, so it really should’ve gone there. 

Kyle Valenti 

My NOTP for them- I don’t think I have one? Besides like the obvious villains. Kyle is so shippable I would ship him with basically anyone. 

My BROTP for them- Alex. I really love them going from enemies to allies to friends. I am really sad we didn’t get much kylex content this season. 

My OTP for them- Kyliz. I really like the history they have, and the way they work together and care about each other. Plus like, it’s really hot. 

My second choice pairing for them- Kybel. I LOVED their scenes together. Him telling her he’s the foremost alien anatomy expert was amazing and they were hot together. 

My fluffy pairing for them- Maria and Kyle. I feel like letting the caretakers care for each other would be really interesting. 

My angsty pairing for them- ugh idk maybe Max? They would bond over Liz but still kind of hate each other. It would be a thing. 

My favorite poly ship for them- Max/Liz/Kyle- it’s what Liz deserves honestly.

Veronica Mars spoilers ahead

K so I just finished Season 4. Whilst I saw it coming that they were going to kill off Logan (the title of episode 8 being the biggest hint), I'm devastated nonetheless. Especially because the way it happened was so random, it came out of nowhere. I didn't understand where they were going to fit it in, and then RT pulls out the worst trope by killing him 5 seconds into their marriage... all because he doesn't want Veronica to be in a relationship???? Because a successful woman can't also be in a successful relationship? Seriously? It's not 2004 anymore, you don't need the constant on-again/off-again bullshit that invaded our TVs back in the day to keep viewers engaged. Maybe they can engage viewers by writing our beloved secondary characters' storylines as well??

I'm just so upset that that's how they destroyed not only an epic romance, but an epic show. If killing Logan really needed to be done, they could have, but in a way that was more fitting to his character. Like, idk, he takes a bullet for Keith, or pushes Wallace away from an explosion or something. I don't want writers to cater to fans, fan service is important but should not be the driving force for creative decisions. But when the reason your show comes back to the air is the direct result of the movie that was crowdfunded by fans, who paid out of their own pockets to see their favourite characters come back to life, you need to end those beloved storylines in a more respectful manner.

they are GOOD KIDS AND THEY DESERVE TO BE IN LOVE AND DATE AND GET MARRIED. season 3 is really what made them an otp for me but i’ve always been fond of them. they’re best friends and jaune’s an idiot, but he really does appreciate pyrrha and wants her to be happy. i think they make each other super happy and they help each other work out their issues (pyrrha being placed on a pedestal and unable to form genuine friendships, jaune’s desire to be a hero and be worth something) and just. THEYRE GOOD KIDS.

roman/neo: 7

i was briefly Super into them after the v3 finale, but due to lack of content now i’m just like “i’m here for it”. i think their dynamic is fun, and i Love evil people being in love and ESPECIALLY FUCKING LOVE characters that dont care about anyone but themselves and their goals caring for One Specific Person. i eat that shit UP. and if neo’s still alive and comes back with a vengeance to avenge roman....i sure as shit would not complain lmfao

Hi :) who do you ship in btvs. I know you're a multi ship so do you ship both bangel and spuffy? And why do you ship whatever ships you ship? Like to know your opinions on buffy, willow, xander, Giles, angel, spike, faith & anya.

This was a pleasant surprise since I NEVER get to talk about BtVS here, so thank you for asking, anon.

So yeah, I ship both Bangel and Spuffy, though my otp of the show (and whole Buffyverse) is Bangel. Since the pilot, since the big fang revelation, since season 2 basically confirmed that Bangel is the most angst ridden ship ever (I’m a ho for angst, what can I say). I do still really enjoy Spuffy, I would say I lowkey ship it. I understand why they were put together, and as Spike’s and Buffy’s personalities shifted, I came to enjoy them more and more. I mostly enjoy the tension, humor, and honesty between them. I never thought they were “in love,” but two caring people who came together while working through more than they could handle. 

Bangel is my OTP. I love the beginning of their relationship, how it felt so teenage and youthful and hopeful. I love that Buffy got to feel like a teenager with Angel, she could be vulnerable, unsure, safe, innocent. I love that Angel was over 200 years old and didn’t know how to date! That he just a unsure, just as vulnerable, and that together they tried to beat the odds. I love that they made each other happy, so purely happy that Angel literally could not be in a relationship with her otherwise he would lose himself. I HATE that I can’t have my happy ending, but I love the symbolism of it, what the Angelus tour stood for, what it meant for the characters, how it influenced Buffy’s journey. Bangel taught me that an important aspect of love is sacrifice. Bangel also taught me that love can be enduring, and span continents, time, lives. The thing I love most about Bangel is how their love persists after years, even when their involved with other people. And that’s not to say that those other relationships didn’t matter. They did. But it shows that love has layers. Anyhoo, Bangel forever.

I will forever be one of the most unproblematic viewers because I deeply enjoy flaws, and Joss gave us some of the most flawed characters, it’s beautiful how he managed to write human so well. I love Buffy’s strength, but sometimes she’s too rod stiff in her strength. Willow was confident in her mind, but took a long time to become build up her self esteem. Xander, my son, somehow managed to balance being selfless and selfish in the most fascinating way. Giles would let the world burn for Buffy even though he was one of its fiercest protectors. Angel had love, but he was still one of the loneliest people ever, and I don’t think anyone really grasped the extent of his punishment on BtVS. Spike didn’t learn courage until he found people he cared about more than his own skin. Anya, my daughter, literally had to learn to be human. Faith, my problematic fave, wrestled with self worth even when quipping. Dawn (I know you didn’t ask but I’m a huge Dawn fan) got to be and act like a teen!  They were ALL amazing. I’m a fan of them all. Buffy is my fave, and Wesley was the only character I did not like (and that was only on BtVS).

Anyways, I just have to say BtVS shaped my pre-teen/teen years. I love vampires because of Buffy. I love villains because of Buffy. I love the art of television because of Buffy. I love mythology because of Buffy. I learned what it meant to be a loving friend and sister because of Buffy. I learned that living is the bravest thing I will ever do, and I’m so happy I woke up every morning at 5 AM and turned on FX to get my next life lesson.

 Okay so I am a classic fan-girl. I can love a lot of tv-shows, but what gets me addicted are the shows with amazing characters and relationships. You know those ships that steals your soul and you daydream about then instead of your own life? The ships where they are imperfect, but they make eachother better. Yup, those ships. 

(These are in no special order, because all my forever OTPs are my babies.) 

1. Buffy & Spike (Spuffy) - BtvS

She is the vampire slayer. He is a vampire. They started of trying to kill each other. But somehow they never did.. Long story short he fell in love with her. Helped her save her sister. Helped save the world. He was there for her when she felt broken and lost. Sure, these characters had one of the roughest stories I’ve ever been invested in, but I never stopped loving these two characters. He hurt her, but then he fought to get his soul back. For her, to be the kind of man she deserves,

2. Rory Gilmore & Jess Mariano (Literati) - Gilmore Girls

Okay so who was Rorys best boyfriend has always been a BIG part of the Gilmore Girls universe. Imo no one even compares to Jess! Bad boy moves to small town. Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Their connection was real and they challenged each other on so many levels. Their relationship was pretty brief, which sucked. But Jess came back for a visit on several occations and he was always the one to get Rory back on track when she felt lost. He understood her better than anyone. No one will ever convince me these two didn’t get together in the end, even if we never got to see it happen.

3. Kate Austen & James “Sawyer” Ford (Skate) - LOST

Okay so I have no words to tell you how much this ship meant to me. It was my first ship where I actually were a part of a online-fandom and these are friends I still have now, 10 years later. But THESE characters.. her sass, his nicknames.. they break my heart. Lost gir & lost boy. Together they were perfect, with a chemistry that still to this day can make my heart skip a beat.

4. Emma Swan & Killian Jones / Hook (Captain Swan) - OUaT

So I’m a Disney addict. Like, I moved to the other side of the world twice to work for The Mouse. Fairytales has always been my thing, so me being addicted to Once Upon a Time was a given from the start. I was a casual viewer for the first season, but then this man (Captain Hook!) showed up, and my life has been all about Captain Swan since that moment. He was a villain (but not really, he wanted revenge for his first love) and then he met Emma who is sunshine and everything good. She has been alone most of her life and her walls are so high no-one can get close. Together they make each other better. He works hard to be a good man for her, and she finally finds someone who will never leave her and treats her like the princess she is. They are so good together, true love.

Killian: With all this talk of authors and the book, we've never discussed one fact: I was a villain. Emma: But you're not anymore. Killian: Neither is Regina, but she still lost her happy ending. If we're to believe the rules of the book, then it's only a matter of time before I lose mine. Emma: Wait. If you're afraid of losing your happy ending, that means you found it. What is it? Killian: Don't you know, Emma? It's you.

5. Clarke Griffin & Bellamy Blake (Bellarke) - The 100

Aka. my sun and moon, king and queen of the ground, and all-around adorable hurt puppies. Started out not liking each other very much, but  found themselves working better as a team and as leaders of their people. They have a deep connection, and work together perfectly. She’s the brain, he’s the heart. They have tried doing things on their own, but turns out they work better together. Clarke and Bellamy trust each other completely and they would die to protect each other. Plso their chemistry is insane, been shipping these since like..the second episode. We are now on season 4 and they STILL haven’t kissed. I feel the Bellarke strong this season, so I think it will happen soon. But as long as I get to see these two working together I will go down with this ship with a smile on my face.

6. Katara & Zuko (Zutara) - Avatar: The Last Airbender

Prince Zuko, firebender. Katara, waterbender. Opposittes, night and day, yin and yang. So this ship never happened, but that doesn’t stop me from still daydreaming about them and reading tons of fan fiction. They were enemies turned friends and together they were amazing. This is the kind of ship where I feel so blessed that we have internet. There’s just so many fics and fanart out there about these two silly babies.

7. Zoe Hart & Wade Kinsella (Zade) - Hart of Dixie

Big-city doctor moved to small adorable town. Meets bad-boy Wade. They argue. They have a LOT of chemistry. There’s a lot of on and off all through this series, but it was wonderful to watch. This show just makes me feel good, and these two love-birds made it perfect. Wade grew up, Zoe learned that she didn’t have to follow her big plan and let her heart decide where and who her home was. Perfection.

Wade: Maybe I'm not 100 percent sure that you wouldn't hurt me if we started things, but I know that I have never felt about anyone the way I feel about you. And I guess that I realized it's worth the risk.

8. Robin & Barney (Swarkles) - How I Met Your Mother

Okay, but do I really have to explain this one to anyone? Everyone knew these two were perfect together. Barney & Robin were funny as hell, they loved each other even with all their little quirks. Perfect pairing and I will ship them until the end of time. (and I will never ever forgive the writers for that ending). Rude.

Barney: I love everything about her, and I’m not a guy who says that lightly. I’m a guy who has faked love his entire life. I thought love was just something idiots thought they felt, but this woman has a hold on my heart that I could not break if I wanted to. And there have been times that I wanted to. It has been overwhelming and humbling and and even painful at times. But I could not stop loving her any more than I could stop breathing. I am hopelessly, irretrievably in love with her. More than she knows.

9. Veronica & Logan (LoVe) - Veronica Mars

Yup, that’s LoVe. Silly puppies who are just great together even when they don’t want to admit it to themselves. The original series ended so suddenly that I never got closure when it came to Logan and Veronica, so I was SO happy that they made a revival movie and it was PERFECT! These kids have been through so much, they just need to be happy!

Logan: I thought our story was epic, you know, you and me. Veronica: Epic how? Logan: Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined, bloodshed. EPIC. Veronica: Come on. Ruined lives? Bloodshed? You really think a relationship should be that hard? Logan: No one writes songs about the ones that come easy.

10. Isak & Even (Evak) - SKAM

Okay so for those of you who don’t know this show: SKAM is a Norwegian show that follows a group of teenagers through High School. And in season 3 Evak stole all of our hearts. It’s all about falling in love, coming out and a bit of mental health, all done perfectly. They are so cute and amazing, even when they were breaking my heart. What makes this show so great is how realistic it feels, and you smile and hurt with them.
