I think one of the things I liked best about Nimona was that it foregrounded a queer relationship and a major subplot was *about* that relationship without being a will they/won't they (fall in OR out of love) story, which is...just not something that happens a lot in SFF movies for het relationships, let alone queer ones. more like this, please

(also fuck Disney forever yet again that showing [significant act of violence] and [very distressing mental health symptom] was cool with them but two dudes being boyfriends in an extremely low-key way was not. that was as G-rated a relationship as any Disney princess romance, so if THAT didn't pass muster...bah)

it is time once again for my accidental streak of Redrawing Aradiabot On Day 24. i swear i literally don't even set an alert for this or anything, it just works out like this every year. i hit january 24th and smth in my brain goes "huh what were we doing this time last year, anything good to revisit?" and i check the day 24 tag and im like OH YEAH.
