maybe not a hot take but is anyone else like reluctant to get new atla content lmao. like the series is so genuinely incredible and the last time they tried to capitalise on that we ended up with The Movie and while i AM excited to have more conversation about atla and maybe even another renaissance (god ive seen what youve done for others... *is talking about the zukka renaissance of 2020*) im also very scared of what is going to be made canon. like a whole movie for zuko? you're gonna give that loser an entire movie now? he's going to canonically say a slur i just know it

'chuuya is eva pilot coded' Bestie, say more
Well, if i list it out
He's extremely traumatized and doesn't process/express his emotions in a particularly healthy way
He's a child soldier/victim of war. His entire life basically revolves around his ability to be a weapon
Very invested in their sinister boss's opinions
The whole human experimentation + cloning + all sorts of body horror surrounding his backstory
Hosts apocalyptic power and is like a mental breakdown away from losing control of it
Bro is literally Asuka. Its like. Not funny
Fucked up family situation
Doesn't get the chance to have a normal childhood, or life really.
The child soldier/former human experiment thing is what really makes him eva pilot coded as opposed any other mentally ill anime teenager.
SO if you stuck Chuuya inside an Evangelion unit, he'd be swinging between the extremes of making it function scarily well or going into a berserker state. But I don't think he'd be the one to cause an Impact, that would be Dazai who is. Shinji coded

i thought the visual design of the first Castlevania show was really generic-looking, so the character design & environment visuals of Nocturne look like a wonderful breath of fresh air, going by the trailer anyway. gimme those big collar 1790s overcoats

hello!
do you have any elecman hcs?
hiyo!!!!!!!
yes I do!! not a whole lot tho so bear with me
- out of all the lightbots he has the sharpest and pointiest nose, most of them have rounded noises to resemble dr light (they’re his kids. guys. Guys.
- his singing voice is TERRIBLE he’s only sung to one other person (roll) and he hasn’t since out of embarrassment. he works on his singing voice whenever he has a chance
- (this kind of goes into my dr light making his bots as human as he can hcs) being the 8th bot he has 8 little beauty marks on his face :] (MOST OF THEM ARE HIDDEN BY HIS MASK UNFORTUNATELY
- weirdly allergic to animals, at some point when he had to work with fuse he accidentally inhaled some rabbit hair and did the most viscous sneeze, the power almost went out in the city
- has a pun book stashed somewhere (honestly which robot master doesn’t have stupid puns

The best thing to do when you hear about upcoming projects is to go and find their cinematography immediately. Damon Lindelof worked on the Star Trek films (2009, 2013) as a writer and that already sounds terrible enough to me, nevermind Prometheus and World War Z. Do they not learn?
I would tinfoil that JJ vouched for him the same way he vouched for the producers of Rings of Power.
Hit send too quickly: I wish I had learnt from Chris Terrio. Had I looked him up and discovered he was partly responsible for Batman v. Superman I wouldn't have bothered with TROS at all.
It's very depressing. All these dudes have been failing upward for years. iirc Terrio is also responsible for The Book of Henry, which is possibly even more embarrassing for him than Batman v Superman.
It just... does not matter how shitty the writing is, apparently. No one cares. Once you're an established breathtaking mediocrity working on huge extruded movie product franchise spectacle, you'll keep getting hired for the next one.
