Oh, and the very moment I heard the title, my only thought (that kept going on repeat in my head all day) was--

ONYX is the word RY uses all the time to describe Xaden's eyes! And considering how Iron Flame ended...

And of course, since all the other titles were said word-for-word in the book-- Fourth Wing (their wing at Basgiath) and Iron Flame (in the wardstone)-- I am desperately curious how the words "Onyx Storm" will be written.

I rewashed the TFONE Trailer because I had something the Fandom has said about it on my mind and..

I don't think this is Onyx Prime. Nor do I think it's one of the predacons. Now hear me out.

If we follow the lore of most modern contunites, When The Primes recovered from their angry "phase" where they brutally attacked each other, Onyx was Very Badly Damaged, almost to the point of death. He decided to journey into the well to expand the choices for new life instead of just "standardformers" via the Trypticah Mask, his own artifact. His Spirit and His Body would be in either 1. The Realm of the Primes or 2. The Matrix.

Not in the outside world growing plants around him.

And the Predacons would technically not be around following TFP'S lore as they were cloned after the war had started.

So, that leaves the question of who I think it is. Now, this might be a stretch.. but I think it's Deathsaurus

Note I've never read idw, I've just seen him around.

The colors kind of match, not to mention the already present resemblance to Onyx in the Comics.

This is just a dumb theory, but I liked the idea of it.

Because I am the way I am, I have imagined what could happen to the baby primes in the event that the events of TFP played out as they should. Like yeah Optimus is in his beefed up bricktimus form, but Beast Hunters is still canonical.

The Fallen is playing babysitter/co-parent to these fifteen gremlins, so Megatron isn't going to get anywhere near the sparklings unless he wants to deal with a bayverse style "GIVE ME YOUR FACE!" moment. However the Omega Lock fight would likely still happen with the Fallen staying with the sparklings while everyone else goes off to fight.

These kiddos are going to be without a dad and I can already imagine the way they all react to it. Onyx would be the only one who actually understood and he would wait patiently by the edge of the Well for a Sire who may or may not ever return in his lifetime.

If I wait to make proper pictures they'll never get shared so here's some of what I've been working on. I may only be two chapters deep into paint the sky but I've been doing a shitton of worldbuilding behind the scenes. Jimi's evolved beyond the sorta " regular jack-off" POV they were meant to be, so I've been making some additions to the universe.

#369 "Onyx Ankara" - One of the earliest and longest surviving Gears and one of the few mfers Charles can trust in this mess. Actually a lead in logistics, supply, inventory and transportation. Onyx fills in a plothole I've long agonized over – how in the fuck did Dethklok not completely fall apart while Charles was dead? Now we know. Jalacy Sabrina Tharpe-Cornickelson - Roy got a little bit close to one of the widows of a Dethklok-related accident and got himself a new wife. Jalacy had a pretty okay relationship with her new step-dad, until he got turned into ground meat by supernatural and human forces. Pretty much forced to become a nepo baby in the wake of the apocalypse and a desire for Crystal Mountain Records to have some fresh talent as their faces. And I haven't got work for her yet but I'm also developing Shayla Puss, an artist from the 80s band Strawberry Pain that Pickles once collaborated with, based on this clipping from the show!

Between the rvts and the Explorers, the rvts are definitely stronger. Not because of Friede's battling skills, but because of their teamwork. During the latest episode, Friede called Murdock and the others because he knew that they would come to help. He didn't even have to think about it. This shows the level of trust and care that the rvts have for each other. The same can't be said for the Explorers, who are motivated mainly by their individual needs. This is shown through the way that Sango ignores Onyx when he warns her to not use explosion towards the end of the latest episode. Another example of the Explorer's lack of cooperation is the disrespect that they show towards each other. We see this when Spinel is mocked by the other members for failing his mission in episode 16. With the exception of Amethio, Conia and Zirc (who actually look out for each other) the Explorers behave like a bunch of egoists rather than a unified group. By contrast, the rvts will do anything to support each other. I've seen theories that the Explorer's downfall will be their lack of teamwork and after this week's episode, I totally agree. Caring for others is a huge strength, as Horizons keeps proving.

Meet one of the first members of Shatter Squad: Bombshell!

If his name didn't already give it away, he is the demolitions expert of his squad. Which is kind of funny, given that he is blue-yellow colorblind and he sucks at remembering which color is which.

He can disarm bombs pretty easily even with his visual impairment. Though, there have been times where he arms one of his bombs for training with his squad but forgets which wire is which because he (for some reason) uses blue and yellow wires to arm it.

Also, when he was first painting his armor, he accidentally painted it the 212st yellow instead of the 501st blue. Rex was over it, Cody was unimpressed, and his squad will never let him live it down.

Personality wise, he's pretty snarky and playful, but he'll quickly drop that to be completely serious when he needs to be. Deadly serious. The switch left his squad speechless the first time they were out in the field.

And even though I pre-ordered that "untitled" book on Amazon like, days ago when we first saw it (and which I posted about how I was so sure it was the next Empyrean), I can feel satisfied we fans were right!
