I'm in some kind of beat-em up mood. ⁣ Next up is Capcom's "King of Dragons". Solid sprite art, classic Capcom music (composed by Yoko Shimomura no less!) and challenging gameplay. Time for a Friday #shelfie of my Nintendo handhelds. My collection is no where newr incomplete but these systems are my favorite. Nintendo really cornered the market with the handhelds and each one was better than the last. Even the switch, though it has it’s share of flaws in the current console market is still very unique and definitely “Nintendo” in it’s design. (not pictured is my pink switch lite, it’s being displayed in a different case and my OLED which Im playing Scarlet on rn. 🤭) I apologize about the lack of posts, Teddy has RSV and was in urgent care with an oxygen saturation in the high 80s/low 90s. Just Finished: CastleVania: Rondo of Blood

A brilliant prequel to one of the best Castlevanias ever made, where you can easily see the Metroidvania "blueprints" being applied. The fantastic branching paths system that are lead you to playing several different times to discover new places in Dracula's Castle is just outstanding. I didn't stop myself playing it until I found them all. Even though it's hard as nails. Fotunately we can always paly as Maria which makes things a little more tolerable.. and smoother.. and honestly better. Sorry Richter… She's better than you.
