a third one??
i’ve got a pretty relaxed day today, so coming and going with responses is easier, downtime more conducive to spending 10/15 minutes writing you another letter, and i apologise in advance for the length of this one
in regards to my friend, she is really sweet, but we seem to have found ourselves in that dynamic when i never know if she’s being gay (platonic) or being Gay (romantic) and i’m already fairly emotionally stunted. house and i are alike on that front /hj
it was nice to be hugged like that, greeted like that, though, a reminder that it’s possible there are some people who do look for me in crowded rooms, even if it’s more likely than not that i’m not there. (incidentally, consider this and every other letter my way of hugging you)
i think if i had to teach mainly basics i would struggle, since i tend to go quickly and get excited, sometimes forgetting brains work differently than mine when it comes to retaining and learning information. i can see your point about the emotional support teacher though, i think there would be a… certain demographic that would be drawn to me, if you catch my drift /hj
i had an english teacher like that, she once gave me extra points on an essay for referencing dead poets society, and even though i don’t have her anymore, i still put her down as a reference, and email her from time to time anyway, she helped me a ton.
i think bookstore bee would be lovely, and it reminds me of aziraphale, which fits with you quite well. plus the best bookshops always have the pretty ladies behind the counters.
as for the other thing, i don’t want to minimise it by saying “it’s okay,” although that is my first impulse, mainly because objectively, it’s not, and because i know if someone said anything like that to someone i cared about i would. definitely get myself into trouble dealing with the bastard with the audacity to hurt my friends. that and i have the same anger for people like that, with the caveat that they can get away with directing it to me. truthfully, i’m used to it, which isn’t ideal, i admit. growing up, i went to a. forced integrated school, bringing in kids from other districts to raise test scores, and as most things turn out to be, the bussed in “smart” kids were mainly white, and the kids who originally lived in the neighbourhood were all hispanic. so naturally, as a hispanic kid from a different district in the gifted program, both sides hated me. i’ve got more than ample experience and that’s what makes it terrible. but i digress
the highs always comes with the lows, but in the words of ben platt, “when you’re high, i’ll take the lows, you can ebb and i can flow,” and i’ll be here to complement you in any way i can for as long as you’ll let me do so.
presenting is definitely scary, i recently had a debate kid ask me, “what’s the point of speaking if you’re not proving anyone wrong?” when i said i wasn’t in debate, but in speech, the sister program. the truth is, the point is telling your truth, even through other peoples’ words. sometimes we can’t find the words, but have no problem finding the memories that make pieces impactful, and true.
i bet in knitted jumpers with a skirt and docs you look lovely, and like someone remus lupin would be good friends with. i gravitate somewhere between remus and sirius, the two gay sides of me constantly battling that one out, so i end up with some… interesting outfits. cruella de ville is a goal, quite honestly, although i suppose technically shes classified as a villain, but then again, i’m a mentally unwell unstraight individual, so villains hot.
bee, if there’s anything i strive to do, it’s make you feel important, because you are, at the very very least, to me. and thats not silly, because believe me the sentiment is shared, thank you for spending time on me, love. i cant say it enough.
you are important, to reiterate, you are good, and kind, and the world could use more people like you. i only hope those lucky enough to experience your physical presence are sensible enough to know what a privilege they have in knowing you.
all of my love, bee, and a million wishes for a good day, good night, sweet dreams, and restful sleep.
until we meet again,
(likely tomorrow)
yours,
please never apologise for the length of these, star. i'd read a whole novel of anything you say
it should me apologising for how terribly late my response is - i'm never much good at writing when i'm tired, or doing anything when i'm tired really. i'm one of those people who completely shuts down, and i wasn't going to torture you with my drowsy ramblings. im however writing this now with a fresh cup of coffee, so let's hope that helps
not knowing the distinction between gay and Gay is the worst; i can sympathise slightly on that front. when i was still figuring shit out i never knew if i just really loved my friend or really Loved my friend - it was all platonic, i know that now, but it was certainly a time. i think i'd always find myself searching for you in a crowded room - you have the sort of energy that draws people to you
you'd certainly draw in that certain demographic, i know it. although i think being the lgbt kids support teacher would be the largest honour bestowed onto a person, and no one else would suit that more perfectly than you. that's so sweet oh my god - i'm not too sure if my teacher had ever watched it, as sadly she never referenced it :( but she was very much a keating for me
i'm glad you know it's certainly not okay and i'm so fucking sorry that there's some ignorant assholes out there who think their stupid close-minded ideas and thoughts are important and need to be voiced, and they're justified in saying that shit. i truly hope things aren't as bad as they once were and if i could, i'd hurt anyone who's ever said that stuff to you (i can't fight, but i'd give it my best shot)
i totally agree with you- not everything has to be to prove a point, or make someone see something the way you do. sometimes it's just to communicate, to tell tales of love and beauty, to tell your own stories and thoughts. sometimes it's nice to talk just for the sake of it.
i think a mix of remus and sirius is wonderful - i aspire to have the sort of energy that sirius black gives off but alas, i'm more of a remus (or even a peter.. but we don't talk about that..) and yes villains are SO HOT OH MY GOD!!! yes they are bad ppl but they are hot and sexy so they can do as they please <3
we could go back and forth about this all day - but thank you lovely. not only do these make me feel important and loved, but they also let me talk about the smaller things, the little things that sometimes seem irrelevant because the world spins a little too fast to focus on the mundane. but even with you, the mundane is something spectacular.
have a lovely day, i hope it's filled with little bits of magic and wonder and joy. all my love star <33

She was an outcast and had no place or purpose there or even in the pits of fire. Now she finds herself reliving her traumatizing nightmare when she was child, as she counts the final days of the world’s demise as she plans ruining ‘The Lady Above’s Great Plan’.( I do not own Good Omens or its characters only the ones I create.)

TOM HIDDLESTON  as 𝘼𝙯𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡

I walked down briskly as I looked at my watch.
“No way in hell that was Crowley”, I whispered to myself harshly hoping no one could hear me, as I walked through the crowded streets.
‘But then again he was literally from hell’ I thought with quite the reasoning but shook my head from those silly thoughts, and kept walking until I saw the Ritz.
‘Seriously what are the chances I was gonna meet Aziraphale as well’, I thought with a nervous chuckle,’ I’m pretty sure its very low and if it were to happen it will be from complete coincidence. Besides as far as I know, does not leave his bookshop on busy days and this day is no exception from that.’
I then opened the door to the Ritz and looked around to see if a spotted a certain friend of mine and surely enough from all of the people that were either talking, chattering , simply sitting in a calm fashion there was only one of the rest that had there arm raising as they waved excitedly at me in a likely childish way.
Almighty, I thought with a sigh as I walked towards the smiling lady at her table.
“Hey, (Y/N)”, she said in a cheery voice as she welcomed me.
“Hello, Elizabeth how are you doing?”, I asked a bit bored yet happy tone to see her.
“Good, well don’t just stand there have a seat!”, She said as she gestured to the seat across from her as I gladly made myself comfortable,” I’m so glad to see you didn’t keep me waiting like the last time.”
“Well, I was planning on doing it again, but I rather prefer this side of yours than the other as much as I hate to admit it.”, I replied with smirk as
“You are such a meanie you know that”, She replied with playful expression as she slapped my hand lightly.
“Only when I want to, of course.”, I replied with a small chuckle as I fixed my seat,” So what was this ’Oh So important gossiping thing’ you had to tell me anyways, that you apparently dragged me here for.”
“Well, if you’re insisting then I guess I should tell you”, She replies,” Anyways..”
After we ordered our food and waited ,a whole 20 minutes passed of her telling me how her day was, she then started to ask me how was my day.
“Oh nothing really”, I said trying to keep my face neutral but failed as I lied.
“Oh Big Bullocks, tell me because from the looks of that face you’re making it seems you saw something interesting all right and I wanna know.”, She replied clearly not buying my lie for a minute.
“I sort of ran into a guy ,an old friend of mine, who I was very close friends with-”, I responded midsentence but was cut off by her to continue.
“You what?!”, She said her eyes wide as saucers with a excited grin as she misinterpreted what I just said,”(Y/N) do you know what this means, what you just said?”
“Um, sort of... I”, I responded in confusion as my eyes squinted at her slightly.
“You are in love!”, She said as she smiled widely and squealed like nails on a chalkboard.
Catching on to what she was saying I immediately declined.
“Oh no no its nothing like that, believe me your getting way ahead of yourself,” I responded in a bland expression as I tried to hide meekly blush appearing on my cheeks.
“Of course it is, you’re only making it more obvious by denying it you know”, She replied trying to pry out the information out of me.
“No there isn’t any love indication with him and I’m sure of it. I’m serious”, I replied trying to think of a way to change the subject.
I then spotted the food tray on our table.
“Oh wow would you look at that the food has arrived!”, I said in a cheerful tone as I thanked the waiter for bringing our food.
“Mark my words, (Y/N) (L/N) I will find out your secret, you so cravingly hide.”, She said as she pointed the spoon at me as she squinted her eyes at me.
“Speaking of cravings. Let’s eat.” I said suddenly successfully changing the subject.
After we finished eating and payed for our delicious food, we headed outside for a walk.
“So were would you like to go?”, I asked her as I walked beside her.
“Well there is this bookshop, I’ve been wanting to go to, maybe look at some books.”, She said thinking out loud as she paced through her mind,” It’s a few blocks away I believe if I’m correct.”
“Well, I’ll go if you go. Lead the way”, I said as I followed her
It took us a few moments to get there but when we did reach the bookshop I couldn’t help but have the feeling I’ve seen this before.
“A.Z. Fell & Co. Bookshop”, I read as I looked at the sign, the store’s outward appearance was a bright red and had two signs one that said ‘OPEN’ and other had an Opening hours that was surprisingly and oddly long. It read:
Bookshop Opening Hours
"I open the shop on most weekdays about 9:30 AM. perhaps 10AM. While occasionally I open the shop as early as 8, I have been known not to open until 1. Except on Tuesday. I tend to close about 3:30 PM, or earlier if something needs tending to. However, I might occasionally keep the shop open until 8 or 9 at night, you never know when you might need some night reading. On days that I am not in, the shop will remain closed. On weekends, I will open the shop during normal hours unless I am elsewhere. Bank Mondays will be treated in the usual fashion, with early closing on Wednesdays, or sometimes Fridays.
(For Sundays see Tuesdays)
A. Z. Fell, Bookseller"
“Well from the looks of it it’s opened,” I said as I ignored the long opening hour sign in front of me as it was far too tiring to read,” After you.”
I opened the door for my friend while I followed behind her as the door closed causing a ‘ding’ of a bell to sound on the shop, alerting that someone had entered.
I awed in amazement as I saw the bountiful of books in the shelves,
‘This place looked stunning, even more than my library at home’ I thought as I scanned the bookshelves that held many marvelous and classical books.
“Oh no! I have to leave”, I heard Elizabeth say in panic,  As she looked at her watch with wide eyes,” I’ll get fired if I don’t hurry, I’m sorry I couldn’t stay for long.”
“It’s Okay, besides we’ll meet some other time”, I said giving her a small smile.
“Thank You for understanding”, She said giving me a small smile of her own,” Well, I’m off. Bring me a book as well!”
Just like that, she left the shop leaving me and the peaceful silence to myself. I went back to scanning the room in the shop and the books.
I came across a bookshelf and started dragging my fingers across the books embroidered and well- defined spines. I came across one that read “To Kill a Mockingbird A Novel by Harper Lee.”
As I was about to take the precious book from the shelf I heard a clear cough from someone behind, causing me to flinch and startling me as I backed away causing my back to hit something as I felt it touch my shoulder very delicately but the. As I was about to take the precious book from the shelf
“U-Umm Excuse me, sorry to inter-”, I heard a voice say behind me, after it cleared its throat awkwardly.
Startling me, I jumped and backed away causing my back to hit something as I felt it touch my shoulders very delicately but then disappear as I heard footsteps back away from behind me.
“Oh Dear, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” The masculine voice said in a soft tone.
I then turned around quickly locking eyes with two bright and beautiful ocean ones. The man—I had now confirmed—seemed to fit right in with the rest of the shop. His clothes had a very vintage feel to them, and although it was highly unlikely, something in myself told me that they were all original. He was not terribly tall, but he wasn’t short, either. He had such a kind face, that was currently frowning in embarrassment. All of this was topped off by some extremely blond curls—so blond in fact that they may as well have been white. Although he would not be considered particularly handsome by most estimates, something about him was drawing me to him like bread to butter.  the person did had some gained weight on him that had stood out very adorably with his nifty pastel suit and brown shoes that perfectly matched his cute little white bow tie on his neck. There was this sense of peaceful aura circulating around in a radiating way when I was near him. There was no denying in my mind that this person looked oh so gorgeous and undoubtedly out of a masterpiece painting. Purity and dainty was marked and sculptured in his beauty like an angel with perfection. Exactly like an angel. No, He was an angel. It was Aziraphale without a doubt in mind.
“You just looked so happy and so focused, I just thought it would be rude and no good manner of mine to interrupt your concentration.”, He said as he looked down in a meek and shy manner a nervous smile planted on his plump rosy lips.
“U-Um no worries...its Okay”, I started to say in a stammer, as I felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment as I stared at him. ’Why am I stammering’ I thought in my head as I have never had occurred to have done this before.
“Oh really, well that’s good to hear, Crowley said that I had a tendency of sneaking up on people.”, Aziraphale said a hint of relief in his voice and with heart-warming smile along with chuckle.
I laughed as well feeling my heart skipped a beat and beating out of my chest repeatedly as if the sound I just heard was the most perfect sound ever created. ’Seriously what’s going on with me’ I thought in my mind thinking I was probably sick or coming down with something
“Good Heaven’s, where are my manners? I’m Aziraphale and the current owner of this shop. And you are miss...?”, He said as he held out his hand in a welcome fashion
“Mrs. (L/N), but my friends call me (Y/N) and its an honor to be standing in your bookshop”, I replied as I shook his warm hand gently in mine.
“Oh, Thank You and its great to meet your acquaintance...”, He said with a happy grin on his face as he shook my hand happily.
“Have you come to purchase a book here by any chance.”, He asked as he let go of my hand and put both of them behind his back, his face changing in a neutral expression,” Because if you were so happened to be here for that matter, I’m afraid it’s closed.”
“Well, I- Um, had a friend who so happened that wanted to come here, but she left moments ago and I’m afraid she won’t come later,” I explained in a nice manner,” We were planning on looking about around your shop and see what books you had in here, and maybe buy one not completely sure. You see this is our first time at your bookshop. The sign outside said it was “OPEN” if I remembered.”
“Oh I must of forgotten to turn the sign at the door! I can be really so forgetful at times,” Aziraphale said in realization with a hint of horror, then his face was wearing a small smile that was adorned prettily with his rosy cheeks as he rambled with excitement, ”Well then, my dearest of welcome to you and U-Um you are free to look around the shelves in the shop and pick your book, you can also come to me if you have any trouble if you’d like or need any assistance in picking one, of course there’s that one-- Oh goodness me ”
“Well now that you mention it, I actually don’t even know what book to look for, I hope it wouldn’t be a bother if I could ask for some help from you, Aziraphale?”, I replied as I smiled slightly at him saying his name in a soft tone.
He looked at me with those captivating eyes of his and hastily replied, ”N-no it wouldn’t be at all, on the contrary I actually enjoy helping people and its my job, especially with finding a good book to read. I like reading myself, you see and in terms of working here I pretty much know all of these books from top to bottom. You never know when someone needs a good night reading or any literature for that matter. ”
“Wow you mean, you work here all by yourself and do everything around here.” I said in complete amazement as I looked at this person with utter most respect as I followed him at his side.
“Y-yes I do in fact, but its never a bother for me ,really. It keeps me more motivated to do things around and it keeps me busy, despite how hard it is. It does get quite lonely here, but the silence hear is lovely and perfect for reading-- I’m rambling again aren’t I? ”
“Oh its okay ramble away if you have to, its quite entertaining. You weren’t joking about the shop being quiet though,” I said as I let out a joyful chuckle, trailing behind him.
“You are too nice and yes it is quiet indeed”, He agreed as he laughed along, he then went and carried a big stack of books towards, ”I’ll be back, once I’m done organizing these over on that shelf”
The books looked pretty heavy and there where piled no more higher than him and it worried me that it was going to fall as it wiggled and the carrier holding the mount of books was having a lot of trouble.
“Are you sure you don’t need any help with that?”, I asked with concern as I watched him trying to look were he was going by peeking slightly at the front of the pile of assorted books.
“Uh No no need, Dear. Just having a bit of trouble carrying them that’s all, they are quite heavy.”, He said with a bashful chuckle as he kept walking towards a hallway his lips forming sounds of struggle.
Not buying a bit of his excuse, I decided to take it upon myself to follow him and as I stood in front of his view, grabbed half of the stacks that were above the pile as many as I could until I had the same amount of books in Aziraphale’s hands. Startled and now being able to see clearly as there were no more little than 7 or 6 books in his hands, he looked at me shocked and with softness in his eyes.
“You do know it’s okay, to ask for help, Right?”, I said with a smile, as I carried the pile of books in my hands.
“O-of course ....Thank You”, He said as he looked at me with slightly wide eyes in pure shock, a hint of shyness in his voice.
“Your welcome”, I replied with a small grin.
A few hours passed as I helped Aziraphale with sorting his books on the shelves, and he talked about many things and books as well as I did, the only sound in the shop was the clock ticking by. But as we did there was something that has been bothering me since we first talked. ‘Why didn’t he remember’, I thought with worry.
‘It has been many years since I’ve seen him so maybe it wouldn’t have really jogged his memory for me to appear, but then again I did kind of expected him to at least remember me’ I thought quite angrily yet understanding as I thought of  the angel,’ Couldn’t really blame him though with upstairs and all of that involved it wouldn’t surprise me for him to forget me, too many years of paperwork I guess. Shouldn’t that be a good thing though? I mean for all I know as much as an angel of a principality he is and may seem he could be working with heaven to execute me and he is danger to me if it does seem that way.
“Well, now that the books are in there proper places”, Aziraphale said as he looked at the books he had just stocked with glee,” I’m ready to help you with finding the perfect book for you. So what do you like to read in your spare time?”
“Mostly about Paris or anything really that captures my attention, but to save your time after sorting all those books with me...,” I said as I paused for a moment to look at the bookshelf and analyzing each book, then later spotting one that caught my curious eye,” Aha! This one.”
I took it out and the embellished cover read, “Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.”
“Hmm its seems like a good read and exactly what I’m looking for”, I said as I pondered, looking at it for a moment,” Is it okay if I just borrow it?”
“I can tell and know how much these books mean to you, and besides I already have a library of my own at home. I do keep promises, when I say that I will return it as soon as I have finished it.”, I added knowing fully well why he seemed hesitant to reply to my question on borrowing the book.
“Well you did help and I appreciate it a bunch. As a matter a fact you can keep it,” He said almost a bit hesitant, but nonetheless very kindly and with a small smile, ”As a gift for helping me and all.”
“I couldn’t, I only helped because I wanted to not for something in return. I really can’t accept this”, I replied as I stubbornly declined his generous and absolutely kind offering.
“It’s a gift between friends”, He said softly as he looked at me,” I enjoyed your company very much, and It would make me very happy if you would accept it. I have an extra copy of that same book anyways”
Geez he really is an angel. He really lives the name up to its potential and meaning.
“Okay, but I’ll only accept it if you agree to let me help you around if you need any.”, I said as I held the book tightly in my hand,” and to let me come to your shop every once in a while. If you’ll let me that is?.”
“Since you insist, Of course and you are welcome to my shop whenever you can.”, He said in a friendly manner as he kept that smile on his face.
“Is it okay if I can read it in here for a while?”, I asked him half-wishing and half-hoping he would say yes,” That’s if you are fine with it.”
“There isn’t that many customers coming in today and I was about to sit down and catch up on my daily reading as well. Of course you can stay”, He responded with a glowing and beaming grin as he went to put on his reading glasses that looked very good on him.
“Thank You,” I said as my heart beat in excitement and with happiness mixed together.
“No need for that, I actually enjoy your company very much,” He responded waving off my “thanks”,” I’m afraid, its not every day you get to enjoy a nice book with someone else who likes them as much as I do. Glad to see, that I could share it with you.”
“Would you like some tea?”, He asked me as he carried a tray with two cups.
“Oh yes. Thank you very much,” I replied as I took the cup he had placed in the small table in front of me.
I then remembered something important that I had to do today and quickly declined as I made up an excuse.
“Um, now that you mention it I can’t stay...”, I replied in a hurry as I rambled in explanation with embarrassment,” I had this thing going on  that I left at home and should be waiting for me ...”
“Oh really?”, He said in a surprised tone at my sudden outburst.
“Yes and I better get going, so have a nice and wonderful day.”, I said as I hurried for the door outside, before the man outside could open it. As I heard Aziraphale say ‘Come Again!’ behind me. I replied with a “Will do!” as the door to the shop closed swiftly behind me. Feeling blue and guilt for the angel I so much adored for not staying, as I thought of a way to repay him. I  sat down on a abandoned bench with no people walking in plain sight. I then grabbed my “Divine Comedy” book I had in my coat and looking sideways I mentally miracled some sticky note out of thin air with a pen and with my best calligraphy writing, I wrote:
“𝓓𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓐𝔃𝓲𝓻𝓪𝓹𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓮,

I then put the cap on the pen and laid it down beside me. Taking out the written sticky note, I paste it on the front of the book’s cover and  miracled it to the shop with a snap of my fingers. I then grabbed the pen and sticky note box as I placed them neatly in the pockets of my coats. Whistling a tune, I couldn’t ignore the growing happy grin on my face, as my heart grew wings and did a happy dance as I would if I was alone and not in the public streets.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Nighttime}
I walked in a brisk pace as my feet hit the pavement on the ground as I made my long walk, As I approached my home and opened it. I then closed it and just when I did, I saw a silhouette of a man sitting in my chair in the moonlight as everything surrounding him was painted dark and pitch black.
“Home sweet Home”, The demon, Azazel said in a bored and mysterious tone as he looked at me with his piercing eyes, with a glint of curiosity behind it,”(Y/N)”
“What are you doing in my home?!” I asked startled and angry as I grabbed the vase next to me,” How many more times do I have to tell you to leave me alone before I resort to violence.”
“No hello? How nice of you. Well then, all greetings aside,” The demon said as it  approached quietly with each footstep, only to see  clearly as it stood in the light’s view, the demon looked and dressed decently in his black coat that he wore with his tie, hands clasped together behind his back and long black hair slicked back as he looked at me with a bored face,” I’m here to talk about business. I believe you know what I’m talking about.”
As I heard a thunder clap from outside, the pitter-pattering of rain resounding outside as it fell, covering the windows like a cascade or waterfall, I looked at the man in front of me with fury and disgust.
“Yes quite frankly, and no I’m not joining your side if that’s what you are offering. Neither you or them for that matter”, I said in irritation as I looked at the demon with a glare as I tried my best to be polite in the most hateful way as I pointed up and down to signify ‘Heaven and Hell’, I then pointed towards the door that leads to the outside,” There is the door, so you can show yourself off now.”
“Yes I know and I’m afraid, I won’t be doing that.”, He said with a dead and irritated tone obviously not bothered by my way of speaking,” I didn’t came here for that, I came because my Highness has sent a message for you.”
He then took something from his pocket and there was a letter with the name “Lucifer” burnt and imprinted on the front of the envelope with seal symbol of a pentagram.
“I don’t want his bribing or anything from him. I’m not some product or weapon to be bought with or to mess around ”, I said in a stern strict voice not wanting anything to with the demon or his poor excuse of his so called Highness, Lucifer, as I kept a confident posture, and not taking the envelope or so as to touch it whatsoever from his hands.
“It is not my place to say this, but the sooner you cut this weak and rubbish act of bravery and join our side, the easier it is for the both of us and this war,” He responded as he put the letter on the table,” In the end you don’t really have much of a choice, anyways.”
“What the hell are you talking about?!”, I asked in anger and irritation in my voice as I stood still in my spot in front of him somehow confused with what he said.
He then walked past me towards the door rudely, and not answering my question as he turn the doorknob and left not caring for the rain that pouring down from the star covered night sky, I followed after him in frustration as I yelled at him,” Answer me!”
“Oh I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise of the ‘Great Plan’, you’ll soon see yourself,” He responded as he stopped dead in his tracks, his back turned and facing me as drops of rain covered his body. He then turned his head towards me and said the sentence that I feared the most with a devilish-eating grin,” After All,......”

{So what did you guys think?
I made Tom Hiddleston as my character Azazel because he fit the characteristics pretty well as he did for Loki.
I hope you liked it

Acceptance (Rated PG13)
Summary:
While waiting for his husband to finish up a job at a local library, Crowley runs into a little girl with a problem he can relate to. (2474 words)
Notes:
I'm a little soft for Crowley interacting with kids. I do not apologize. XD
(AO3)
“Uggggggggh!” Crowley groans, long and obnoxious, like a toddler throwing a tantrum. “Why did you have to drag me to a library, of all places?”
Aziraphale side-eyes his husband, gasping in offense. “I didn’t! You stopped me as I left and begged me to bring you!”
“But if I’d known you were going to the library …!”
“Those were the first words out of my mouth! I literally said, and I quote - I’m headed to Tooting Library. Be back in an hour!”
“Oh, yeah. Right. That’s where the hiccup came from.”
“What do you mean?”
“I couldn’t get past the name.” Crowley chuckles. “Tooting.”
“Oh for Heaven’s sake.” Aziraphale reaches for the door handle but Crowley gets to it first, opening the door for his husband the way he has taken to lately – one of many small habits he developed the moment they said I do.
“Anyway, not my fault,” Crowley declares, following him inside.
“What!?”
“And I’m glad we’ve agreed there was a misunderstanding. But now that we’re here, what am I supposed to do?”
“Well, call me an old silly, but this is a library. A place of higher learning.” Aziraphale leads Crowley through the bookcases to the children’s section, where he’s been commissioned to help sort through the older books in their collection to see if they’re worth anything. “You could read.”
Crowley snorts in objection. “Pass.”
Aziraphale scans the room, looking past the books, books, and more books, searching for anything that might occupy his disruptive demon for a spell. “There’s a computer in the corner.”
“Meh. I have an iPhone.”
“There’s a mini theater. It looks like they’re playing The Adventures of Paddington Bear. That sounds like it might be up your alley.”
“And why’s that? Because he’s cute and cuddly?”
“Because I find him as hard to swallow as a bag of wet chips.”
“Rude.”
Aziraphale sighs. “There are coloring pages and crayons on that table over there.”
“Are you kidding me?”
“You’re the one who used to fraternize with Renaissance painters. All those nudes of Lucifer you inspired. Maybe you could try a hand at being a part of the artistic process with your clothes on for a change.”
Crowley chooses to neither confirm nor deny, overlooking his angel’s spiteful tone in favor of examining the little round table and equally tiny chairs, the assortment of black and white pictures available to color and two brand new boxes of 64 crayons. After a moment of scrutiny, and knowing that his options are limited, Crowley shrugs. “Yeah. All right.”
“Good. Now please remember there will be children about.”
Crowley spins the largest of the small chairs around and straddles it. “Yeah? And?”
“Keep the gore to a minimum.”
“You say that as if children don’t love gore.”
“They don’t!”
“They do! In fact, most kids under the age of twelve can imagine up stuff way scarier than I could ever come up with, I’ll tell you that.”
Aziraphale scoffs. “How do you figure? Cite your source.”
“You obviously didn’t spend the kind of time with Warlock that I did, angel,” Crowley mutters, grabbing a red crayon from the box and starting in on a picture of King William III, remastering it to depict how the monarch looked on his death bed, wasting away from pneumonia after suffering from a broken collarbone, a consequence of falling off his horse.
Aziraphale considers Crowley’s explanation, his eyes bouncing back and forth as he tosses it about in his head. “Fair point. Now sit tight, don’t wander off, and play nice with the other children. I’ll be back in an hour.”
“Toodles,” Crowley says, thinking, ‘But there are no other children.’ He grins and grabs another picture, this one of Queen Anne, and eagerly begins another vulgar rendition.
***
Aziraphale’s promised hour passes and Crowley has blown through all the coloring pages. He looks at his stack of dead monarchs and sighs. It was rather inconsiderate of him to color them all, he realizes, but he’s so damned bored. He snaps his fingers, returning the pages to their previous pristine and uncolored conditions when a squeaky voice says, “I like your glasses.”
Crowley looks up and sees a girl sitting across from him. How she managed to sneak up on him in this big, open room, with no one else in it but himself (being ten a.m. on a Tuesday morning when most kids are in school) he has no idea, but nonetheless, there she is, smiling at him, wearing a bright pink frock and a pair of dark sunglasses with cat eye frames.
“I like yours, too,” he says.
“Thanks.” She pinches her lips together, flustered by the compliment. “May I ask you a question?”
“Yes, you may, but only because you’re being so polite.”
“Are you blind?”
Crowley shakes his head. “Nah. I just don’t like people looking at my eyes. It makes them uncomfortable.”
“Same.”
Crowley raises a quizzical brow. “Really?”
“Yeah.” She reaches up and adjusts her frames, pushing them unnecessarily up her nose. “I have this thing. It’s called heterochromia iridis.”
“Wow. Those are some big words for such a little girl.”
“It just means that my eyes have different colors. I’m starting school soon, and my mum thinks it’ll freak the kids out. But I think it’s cool.”
“I’m sure it is. May I see?”
“Um …” Crowley can’t see her eyes. Her lenses are as dark as his. But he can see her eyebrows moving up and down as she deliberates between yes and no. But she shrugs to herself and says, “Okay,” taking off her glasses with her eyes closed. When she opens them, Crowley can see why some mortals might be bothered.
Not because her eyes are grotesque. Actually, the combination of brown, hazel, and blue that her right eye contains in defined segments like a pie chart, her left eye blue-green and much darker than her right, is quite mesmerizing.
But because mortals can be stupid when confronted with something different than themselves.
But because mortals are easily frightened by the slightest things.
“I like them,” Crowley says, giving her a smile.
“Do you really?”
“I do.”
“Thanks.”
“It’s a shame you have to hide those eyes. I think they’re incredible.”
“Me, too.” She sits up straighter, her confidence growing. “I think they’re special. And I like being special, but it gets lonely.”
“Why’s that?”
She looks down at her glasses, folding them carefully and setting them in front of her. “I’ve never seen someone else like me. Not in real life. Just in pictures they show at the doctor’s office. What I have is rare, but I know other people have it. It gets easy to forget sometimes. I wish I could see one other person with eyes like mine. Not even like mine, just … different.”
“I see,” Crowley says, chewing his lower lip. He sits up in his chair and takes a quick glance around. Still nobody else there, not as far as he can see anyway. He leans forward, nearly touching her forehead with his own across this thimble of a table. “I might be able to help you with that.”
The girl peeks up at him, catches her reflection in his lenses, and smiles. “Really?”
“A-ha. If I show you something, promise not to freak out?”
She giggles at the reference. “I promise.”
“And don’t. tell. anyone.”
“I won’t.”
“Cross your heart?”
“And hope to die!”
‘Don’t hope that,’ Crowley thinks, taking off his glasses the same way she did, with his eyes closed. When he opens his eyes and fixes them on her, her jaw drops, but her stunned expression gets immediately replaced by the widest smile he’s ever seen on a child.
On anyone, really.
Except his Aziraphale.
“No way those are your real eyes!” she says, grinning with glee. “Those have to be contact lenses!”
“Nope. They’re real. They’re a might bit rarer than yours, but they’re real.”
“I’ll bet!” she says. Suddenly, her whole face lights up. “Wait! I know this!” The girl reaches into her pocket and pulls out a phone. She swipes the screen, goes to Google, and types. When she finds what she’s looking for, she turns the screen to Crowley. “You have this, don’t you?”
Crowley peers at the screen, at the picture she looked up of a pupil deformity called ‘coloboma’. She’s right. For a mortal deformity, it does look kind of like his eyes. He doesn’t think he could get away with not wearing his glasses and claiming this condition. The otherworldly aura of his eyes is unmistakable to most mortals.
Curious that this little girl doesn’t seem to catch it.
“Close enough,” he says. “You sure do know a lot about this stuff.”
The girl sighs deeply like a sage, old witch, and stows her phone in her pocket. “I’ve been dealing with eye doctors for a while now. It’s become an occupational hazard.”
“I can see that.”
“So you and I ... we’re the same, aren’t we?”
“In a manner of speaking.” Crowley smiles, but it’s sadder than the rest. ‘No,’ he thinks. ‘If all goes well, in 80 years, Heaven will have you.’
“Lizzie? Dearest? Where are you?”
“That’s my mum,” Lizzie whispers to Crowley as if it’s a huge secret. “I’m here, Mum!” she calls.
“Come along! We have to go!”
“Coming! It was nice to meet you, mister,” she says, offering Crowley her hand. Crowley doesn’t hesitate to shake it.
“Nice to me you, too. Lizzie.”
Crowley watches Lizzie double check her pockets for her phone, then collect her glasses. She considers them a second but doesn’t put them back on. Instead, she slides them in her pocket, then skips away toward the front door. Crowley doesn’t know if she’s going to put them on outside, or if her mum will make her. But he’d rather believe that she doesn’t, and that she won’t from this day forward.
All because she met a demon at a coloring table in a library called Tooting.
“It seems you made a friend,” Aziraphale says, miracling up an adult-sized chair and sitting down in it.
“I guess so.” Crowley starts fussing with the coloring pages, stacking them in order by dates of reign and setting them neatly to one side. He reaches for his glasses resting on the table, but Aziraphale catches his hand before he can slip them on.
“Is something bothering you, dearest?” he asks, tilting his head to catch his husband’s eyes. “You seem a little upset.”
“That depends ... how much of that did you hear?”
“All of it. I came out of the office right as Lizzie sat down.”
“And you didn’t think to rescue her from me?”
“Ah, you see, that’s self-pity talking. Children are the last people on this planet who need rescuing from you, my dear. Besides, I wanted to see what the two of you would do.”
Crowley shakes his head. He looks from Aziraphale’s eyes down to his glasses, the blacker than black lenses he orders special absorbing the mid-morning sun and reflecting it back as a cast of false midnight. “I could have snapped my fingers and fixed it for her. That would have been a good thing, wouldn’t it? A blessing? No possibility of kids making fun of her, no more helicopter parents forcing her to wear those glasses. But it just … it didn’t feel right.”
“It wouldn’t have been,” Aziraphale says. “Not every problem in the world requires a magical fix. In fact, not every problem is a problem.”
“Now, you see, that’s just ridiculous!” Crowley snaps.
“Why is that?”
“Because a problem is a problem. By its very nature, but its very name. That’s why we call them problems. And what she has is a problem.”
“She did have a problem, but it wasn’t her eyes.”
“What was it then?” Crowley grouses, growing tired of Aziraphale trying to help him find the answer instead of outright telling him what it is. Crowley recognizes that that’s Aziraphale’s job in a nutshell - to inspire humans to solve their problems.
But Crowley’s not human. He needs a bit more help finding the answers.
“She’s lonely. Or she was. She wanted to find someone like her, to feel less alone in the world. And she did. She found you. And you found her, I’d say, whether you knew you needed to or not. It’s a power that humans have that angels – and demons, I imagine – find difficult to comprehend. We’re so used to snapping our fingers and changing things that the steps in between are lost on us.”
“And that power is …?”
“Making a connection. Sometimes the solution to a problem isn’t in the fixing. It’s in finding someone who understands. As immortal beings on this planet, weaving our way in and out of people’s lives, it’s something we tend to overlook. Something we tend to avoid, really.” Aziraphale puts a palm to Crowley’s cheek and turns his demon to face him. “I want you to know how proud I am of you.”
Crowley starts to roll his eyes but stops. He doesn’t want to blow this off. He wants his husband to be proud of him. Aziraphale is an Angel of God who chose to risk everything and marry a demon. He should endeavor to make Aziraphale proud every single day.
“You are?”
“I am. I believe you were being tested. And you passed with flying colors.”
“Ugh,” Crowley groans, grabbing his glasses and putting them on before he does something truly asinine – like become teary eyed. “I guess if you’re going to be tested, a library’s as good a place as any for it. Higher learning and all that.”
“True.” Aziraphale makes to stand but Crowley grabs him by the elbow, pulls him gently back to his seat.
“Have I ever told you that you’re very good at your job?”
Aziraphale chuckles. “Owning a bookshop?”
“Inspiring humanity. To be honest, it’s not something I ever considered. It isn’t something … I was ever charged to do. But angels are angels, right? They do good deeds and get in our way. When something would come up and you took a step back, said you couldn’t interfere with the Divine Plan, I didn’t understand. But I think I’m beginning to.”
Aziraphale smiles. He leans in and gives his demon a kiss. “It’s nice that somebody does. And I’m glad that someone is you. Come along, dear.” He stands, grabs his husband’s arm and helps him out of his tiny chair. “I think you’ve had enough library for today.”
“Aw, really?” Crowley shakes out his long legs, getting them accustomed to standing upright again. “I was hoping we could pop into the mini theater and, you know, not watch the movie.”
Aziraphale laughs. “And you’re back.”

It's sugar, isn't it?
Aziraphale is in a good mood, which is why he hasn't kicked that customer away for buying one of his books, also because that particular book is not a first edition and he has plenty of others already. So it's okay if he sells that one.
Besides, the woman is quite nice.
"You're my first customer of the year!" He says happily, forgetting for a moment that time is not the same for humans. He also tends to forget quite often what month is.
She freezes, her mouth falls open as she stares at Aziraphale in shock; the angel worries his wings popped out by accident. When he realizes they've not, he blinks at her in confusion.
"But it's December!" She points out, which makes him feel even more lost. "You're telling you haven't sold a single book in eleven months?"
"Well... Yes, I mean no, I haven't," he doesn't know why it'd be such a big deal.
She puts a hand on his shoulder, and Aziraphale can feel waves of pity and sorrow coming from her.
"But how do you manage–I mean you are going to sell this–"
"Angel!" Crowley walks in the bookshop like he owns it, he always does that. "There's a table for two available at the Ritz."
"Really?" Aziraphale is always absolutely delighted when Crowley takes him out to dinner or lunch, even though they've been doing this for thousands of years.
"I made them bake that apple pie you like so much," Crowley mumbles, grinning from ear to ear as Aziraphale turns red.
"Oh, you didn't have to–"
"Of course I had," he keeps staring at him and Aziraphale knows his eyes are glimmering even with the shades on.
Crowley has become even more... indulgent since the apocalypse-that-didn't-happen.
"I also found a collection of the Yeats poems that I thought you might like, angel," he adds with a smug smirk on his face, knowing Aziraphale would beam at him.
"Do you have it with you?" He's almost shaking with excitement and Crowley knows it by the way his eyes shine amusedly.
"Yesss," he says, before handing it to Aziraphale who kisses the demon's cheek, making him freeze and blush.
"Oh, I see," the woman mumbles, startling Aziraphale, who completely forgot she was there. "Thanks for the book, I'll leave you alone then."
"Did she take one of your favourites?" Crowley frowns immediately. "Do you want me to get it back?"
"No, it's really okay."
***
Things change and even though it's a good change, it still confuses Aziraphale. Some people have started to come to the bookshop, walk around for a while, but then they don't buy anything (and he's really glad for that). Although some don't even ask him for books anymore.
Then the woman comes back with her friends and they all just... whisper to each other and stay there, glancing at him with curiosity.
Then Crowley arrives and Aziraphale (as usual) forgets about them.
"A Bentley?" One of the men who came with the woman asks, amazed. "It looks good."
"It's in perfect condition," Crowley smiles proudly; he doesn't usually enjoy to talk with humans that much, but takes any opportunity he gets to say nice things about his beloved car.
The woman smiles.
"That car must be worth a fortune," she comments casually, although her friends almost look like they're waiting for Crowley to say something.
"I'm wealthy," the demon says, already bored with the conversation.
Of course, demons and angels don't care about money (well, demons use it for temptations, but they don't need it for themselves) but Crowley has found out that people ask less questions when he says he's rich.
"You're so lucky, Mr. Fell," she winks and the angel smiles politely back at her, but he has no idea what she's talking about.
***
A young man walks into the bookshop one day when Anathema is visiting and approaches Aziraphale with a weird... question.
"Hello! Uhh... Well, you know... A friend of mine told me about your... relationship with the man that comes here quite often, the one with the sunglasses. I hope you don't mind me asking... Well, it's not like I want to–I know it's not my business, but I think I'd like to try something similar. And I wanted to ask someone who's already in a relationship like that..." The poor thing is so flustered he's not making any sense.
He wants to know about his friendship with Crowley? Well... It's more than a friendship at this point, but neither of them have yet talked about it properly.
"Does he give you money?"
"Crowley? No." Why would Aziraphale want money for? Well... He tries to remind himself he's talking with a human.
"But he buys you things, right? He helps you with the bookshop..."
Crowley miracles things for Aziraphale quite often, although he couldn't say that to the man in front of him. But he supposes it's kind of the same...
"Yes, he does."
"How did you meet each other? I just... I swear I don't want to be a bother, I only want to know because I want to be a sugar–"
"I have a couple of friends, if you're interested," Anathema walks towards them, looking very amused. "Because this one just got lucky I'm afraid."
Aziraphale doesn't understand, but he doesn't care much about it, he's just glad Anathema decided to help the young man herself.
***
There's a man that starts coming to the bookshop quite often, he tells Aziraphale he's a professor of literature and they both have interesting conversations about the angel's favourite books.
He doesn't try to buy anything, which makes him even more likeable, according to Aziraphale at least.
Although he keeps insisting that, despite of being just a teacher, he has plenty of money to live without having to work again. Aziraphale just nods every time he mentions that because he doesn't care, but he doesn't want to be rude.
One day he decides to pay him a visit when Crowley is there, although the demon is currently in his snake form on Aziraphale's lap.
"So... That was a gift from your–from him?" He says, looking at the snake; it seems all the people that come to the shop more than once know Crowley.
"From Crowley?" The snake is Crowley, but he can't say that. "Well... yes."
The man clears his throat and looks at Aziraphale for a couple of seconds before leaning closer.
"I brought you a muffin," he mumbles shyly and Aziraphale takes the paper bag, smiling from ear to ear.
"Thank you so much!"
But then Crowley glares at the man and hisses, making him move away from Aziraphale.
"He doesn't like me."
"Nonsense, he's just grumpy," Aziraphale assures and then looks at the snake and adds: "Please, behave."
Crowley shakes his head and slides out of the angel's lap to hide behind one of the bookshelves.
Aziraphale rolls his eyes.
"I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with me sometime," the man says then. "I know you already have your Daddy, but I could share... you know? Perhaps we can go out when you're not with him."
"Sorry... my what?" Aziraphale never had a father, but he's not sure if be that's what the man is talking about.
"Your... uhh, Sugar Daddy... You're the man's Sugar Baby, aren't you?"
Perhaps Anathema is right, he should try to keep up with all the things the new century has brought, even the new terms people use... Because at the moment he has no idea what he's talking about.
"Yes, he is and no, I don't share!" Crowley appears out of nowhere, at least to the poor man's eyes, because Aziraphale knows he was just sliding around the store the whole time. Somehow in his human form he looks even more intimidating. He hisses. "So you better get out of here!"
The man doesn't have to be told twice, he just runs away from the place.
"That was rude, Crowley," Aziraphale comments.
"He deserved it. He asked you out!" And just then the angel realizes his... more-than-a-friend is jealous.
Aziraphale rises from his seat, takes Crowley's face in his hands and gives him a quick kiss on the lips that turns the demon into a flustered mess.
"You know I only love you."
"You do?"
"Yes, I do," he nods and Crowley takes him in his arms and nuzzles his neck affectionately. He whispers shyly against the angel's soft skin how much he loves him too.
"Let's have lunch."
"Yes!" Aziraphale nods happily, taking Crowley's hand, before glancing at him with curiosity. "What is a Sugar Daddy?"
The demon blushes to the tip of his ears then, although he tries to pretend he doesn't care about the question that much.
"I'll tell you later, angel."
Aziraphale knows that tone very well; Crowley doesn't want to talk about it for some reason, although he can always ask Anathema.
He needs to do that as soon as possible.

Crossing Paths - 1946 - The Third Circle of Hell
Wherein there are repercussions from the Estrangement and a whole mess of questions go unanswered.
1946 – The Third Circle of Hell
 Crowley’s palms were sweating.
That wasn’t a good sign.
Okay, yeah, he’d kind of… slept through most of the last century, neglected any paperwork or memos to the head office and ignored at least a dozen summons from various demons. Technically he could claim disobedience wasn’t in his remit, but then there was the fact he hadn’t been doing anything for almost eighty years.
That was a big gap of temptation and sin across the world and someone was bound to have noticed, no matter what he had told Aziraphale in the past.
The fact that he’d heard mutters and whispers from the minute he set foot in the first circle didn’t exactly fill him with confidence. Whispers usually meant people talking and down here, people talking was never a good thing.
He squeezed through the flow of traffic, more worried that relieved when people started stepping aside for him, and headed down to the appointed meeting chamber for his long overdue meeting with Lord Beelzebub and the other earth-bound demons.
Definitely didn’t help that he was late.
Ha paused outside the door, straightened his glasses and his coat, then strode in, arms outstretched like a damned saint. “Hell-come home, am I right?” He swept into an extravagant bow. “Lord Beelzebub, my apologies for my tardiness.”
The high Lord of Hell waved a hand. “That will be unnecessary, demon Crowley.”
He almost froze on the spot, but forced himself to straighten up. “Oh?”
“Mm.” Their voice was a hum of the swarm that surrounded them. “Given the circumstancezzzzz, paperwork may be overlooked.”
“Circumstances?” He looked around the room, frantically scanning the faces of the other demons, trying to work out what the mood was meant to be. Good for him? Bad for him? Bad for someone else? Oh, please God, Satan and everyone, it was bad for someone else.
His eyes finally settled on Hastur. The demon was the best barometer. If Crowley was in trouble, it would show on his face, but right now, his face looked more like a slapped arse than usual and Crowley almost sighed in relief.
“The wars.” Beelzebub unfolded from their elaborate chair – never a throne, though. Lucifer wouldn’t like that. “Very impressive.”
“The w– oh. Oh! Yeah!” He hooked his thumbs into his belt and grinned as widely as he could, hoping the lies weren’t reeking on his every word. “Yeah. Well. You know humans. Give them an inch and they’ll do a mile with a bit of encouragement.”
“Our Master was very pleazzzed with you.”
“Oh.” The smile faltered a bit. “Goodie.” He hesitated then carefully said, “And before the wars, I wasn’t exactly…”
“Managing a great deal of corruption in London,” Beelzebub said. “We know it izzzz rare for you to focus on single souls, but these ones were tempted well.”
“In London?” Crowley squinted at them. “Oh, yeah. London. I mean, we all know London’s the place to go if you want to start something like that. Den of sin and iniquity, whores and… all that stuff, yeah.”
“And it spread,” Hastur said grudgingly. He sounded like he wanted to swallow his own tongue. “There was even mention of it in the American colonies.”
“They prefer the United States these days,” Crowley put in helpfully, still baffled. Every demon in Hell knew London was his jurisdiction, but someone had been tempting people while he was arse in the air under his blankets? He would’ve known about it. Would’ve felt it, surely? “If you don’t mind me asking, what was so special about those ones? I mean, it was a nice change of pace, but didn’t think it was going all that well.”
Beelzebub grinned, showing their dark, rotting teeth. “Your encouragement to lust and envy were particularly well done.”
Lust and envy?
Crowley was definitely out of his depth. Possibly without a paddle. There were no metaphors for exactly how bewildered he was. Lust wasn’t one of his big go-to temptations. Too easy, for one thing, and he wasn’t really one to see what humans might lust after beyond some random part of the anatomy. Mind you, there was that one time he made that one man go gaga for someone’s eyeballs. Ended up a bit messier than expected.
Instead, he just bowed again with a bit of extra hand-waving. “Glad to have been of such great service, my Lord.”
 ________________________________________
 “Angel?”
Aziraphale finished pouring the wine before he looked up. “Hm?”
Crowley was sprawled on the horsehair couch, a vague, puzzled look on his face. “You know when we– I mean, a few years back… mid-century… did you do any of my work?”
Even though they were back on speaking terms now, the thought of that awful period when they were not made Aziraphale’s heart clench. “I’m afraid not,” he said, offering Crowley one of the glasses. “I assumed you were doing your work and I was doing mine and that was the end of the matter.”
A flicker of some emotion Aziraphale could not decipher flashed across Crowley’s face and as ashamed as he was to do so, he reached out and felt the tenor of guilt.
“You… were doing your duties?”
Crowley winced, swaying a little from side to side. That was never a good sign, his most serpentine aspects emerging when he was anxious. “Not… exactly.”
Aziraphale stared at him, then sank down into his chair. Heaven would have come down upon him like the wrath of God if he had failed in his duty. He could only imagine how much worse Crowley’s managers would be. “Oh no.” He took a fortifying sip of his wine, swallowing hard around it. “So… if you don’t mind me asking, what were you doing?”
The word was muffled by the glass at Crowley’s mouth.
“What was that?”
“Sleeping! I was sleeping, all right? I went home and I drank six crates of wine and slept.”
“For eight decades?” Aziraphale laughed in disbelief, but it faded when Crowley didn’t laugh too.
The demon’s mouth twisted into a grimace. “Yeah.” He shrugged a bit. “Didn’t have anything to get up for, did I?”
It felt as if all the air had left the room. “Oh, Crowley…”
Crowley flapped a hand. “Don’t start! I’m up now. See? In your shop, drinking your wine.” He gave the glass a shake, the wine swirling. “Nothing to worry about.”
He was trying to hide behind the familiar bluster and show, but Aziraphale could remember their last conversation before their disagreement. It had been far more desperate than he realised. For Crowley to do that, to close himself away…
And on top of it all, he had left his work undone!
“Oh!” A horrifying thought stabbed at him. “Oh, my dear, you’re not in… trouble, are you? With your people? I mean, if you haven’t been meeting your quotas, I don’t imagine they’re best pleased.”
Crowley hooked a finger around his glasses, pulling them off and peering at them. “Funny thing,” he said, frowning. “They seem to think I was keeping on top of everything.” He laughed shortly, puzzled. “’Parently they think I had something to do with the wars.”
Aziraphale opened his mouth to tartly point out that he probably had when the eight-decade-sleeping crept back into his mind. That wasn’t something Crowley would joke about, not when things were still so tenuous between them. “They don’t know?”
Crowley shook his head moodily. “And,” he added, “turns out I’ve been sending out lust and envy all over the place. Said I’d gone and focussed on a few people and nudged them a bit further in our direction.” He peered over at Aziraphale. “You sure you didn’t do any tempting?”
Aziraphale shook his head. “I only did my duties.” He paused, recalling those exhausting years, which had only been bearable because of the procession of young men willing to entertain, though few of them lasted very long. “I made a few friends, though most of them are long gone now.”
“Yeah?” He didn’t need his senses to hear the whisper of wary jealousy in the demon’s voice.
Better not to prod a wound still so tender. “As I said, they’re long gone now.” He frowned. “Surely I would have known if there was another demon. London is mine. I could sense an infernal being anywhere.”
“Yeah.” Crowley took a swig from his glass. “That’s what I thought.”
Aziraphale turned his glass between his hands, the wine catching the light from his table lamp. “Do you think they tempted themselves, perhaps?” he offered, though he knew it was a weak argument.
“For my lot to pick up on it, someone from one of our sides had to be involved.” He sighed, shaking his head. “I dunno, angel. Right now, I don’t really care as long as they aren’t about to rip my arse through my mouth.”
Aziraphale winced. “Oh, Lord. Yes, better that they don’t suspect.” He hesitated, then gently said, “I’m very sorry.”
Crowley’s face twisted in confusion. “For what?”
“Making you feel that was your only option.”
The demon gaped at him. “Sod off, angel,” he snorted, sliding down the couch to slouch in an impressive display of forced nonchalance. “You’re not that special.”
Crowley was many things. A good liar was not one of them.
“I know,” Aziraphale murmured, “and I’m still sorry.”
The demon made an inarticulate sound, averting his eyes. “Just… more wine, yeah?”
The angel nodded, reaching for the bottle. “Yes,” he agreed. “More wine.”

Note
dude your recent demon & angel kiribaku art reminds me a little bit of aziraphale and crowley from good omens!! like aziraphale would be angrier as baku obvs but still i thought of it and it made me happy lol
A lot of people have mentioned that in the tags/under the post and that makes me!!! super happy!!!! Good Omens is one of my fav books and Crowley one of my fav characters, so the comment feels nice! I wasn’t specifically thinking about them when drawing it, but possibly a bit I was influenced anyway!! I wonder if what made everyone think about them was Kiri’s sunglasses? It’s not noticeable but I did give him glowing eyes too after all haha
Anon said:Have you ever thought about how op a TodoBakuDeku fusion would be? (if they could stay together that is lol!)
Never thought of it tbh, but at this point I’m pretty sure with a lot of work on Baku’s part they’d be able to stick together long enough! He wouldn’t find it comfortable but they’d def be one of the strongest three-people-fusions in the class - not the strongest, tho, since they all have the same sort of straightforward offensive power when it comes to their quirks, I think I could find three people who’d make a stronger fusion... Baku Kiri and Momo, for example, would be even more impressive imho! Since all their quirks cover a different field, and their minds/personalities mesh well enough to have the right amount of planning and instinctive reaction/self-preservation and safety of others/pride and self-doubt/lawfulness and chaotic acting and so on. Even just as a team, without counting them as a fusion, I think they’d make one of the most balanced ones! Compared to that putting Todo Deku and Baku in the same place is just a recipe for disaster more often than not haha
Anon said:no, i move slow, I wanna stop time, I'll sit here til I find the,, inspiration to draw,,,,,,
LMAO it’s a song about art block after all, I feel every word in it a whole damn lot hahaha
Anon said:Art block or no art block, I love everything you come up with 💜
AW HECK ANON you’re so sweet!!! Thank you so much!!!!! ;O;
Anon said:Mixing thei hero names? So uuuh King Riot?
We still don’t know Baku’s hero name, so anything might be, really! It’s why I didn’t outright have Kiri mention any idea, I got no clue myself where he was going with it haha it’d be cool if his hero name were Ground Zero, because it’d mix well with Red Riot imho (Red Zero or Ground Riot or Red Ground, they all sound nice!) but what if Baku’s hero name ends up just being Katsuki, after all? How do you mix that with Red Riot? (the answer is Red Victory, or Akatsu!! from akai (red) + katsu !! ngl I’ve thought about this a lot lmao) anyway so many possibilities so little known facts!
Anon said:I love the details on Kiri and Baku's skin. Great job!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Anon said:!!!!!!!!!! fran oh my god your zine piece is so beautiful!!!!!!!
Sob thank youuu!!!! I’m glad you liked it!!!! ;O;
Anon said:i just got my zine and the art and writing was so lovely, i loved your comic at the end. an amazing way to end the zine♡
THANK YOU!!!! I’m jelly, I still haven’t gotten mine ;O; I hope the comic was easy to read even in printed form, I’ve been worried about that for months hahaha rip at least there’s the pdf
Anon said: i’m in love with your kiri bday art!!!! with the colorless art like that, are we allowed to color it? of course no posting it, but just for fun.
If you promise not to post it, I’m cool with it! Thank you for liking it enough to want to do that!!! Seriously tho don’t post it if you do
Anon said:Can you draw more kamisero? g u d q u a l i t y s h i p ma' dude.
Maybe? Currently it really isn’t between my top priorities but who knows
Anon said:FRANNNNN!!!! Your comic for the Take My Hand zine!!!! I'm gonna cry! It's so beautiful and the boys are so perfect! Your art is so amazing, I was so thrilled to see your piece. Not to mention the detail you put in. Their hands killed me! With Bakugou's palms and Kiri's arms! Ugh, I just can't, I love it so much.
I’M SO GLAD YOU LIKED THE HANDS it’s weird bc that one panel is probably my fav in the comic and I was so sure no one was gonna really notice it but!! So many people did!!!!! It makes me so happy oh man ;O;
Anon said:Hey coulda maybe make a traitor Kaminari comic?
Nope! No traitor arts here, sorry! SInce I don’t believe any of the theories to the point of finding them outright laughable, any art I could ever make about it would just come out looking either fake or ridiculous and no one wants to see that lmao
Anon said:your take my hand comic!!! it's so good!! thank you for doing the boys so well ;;;
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOUUUU!!!!!!!!
Anon said:I don't know if you remember, but a couple months ago I asked if it'd be okay for me to write something based on a few of your art pieces. Would that still be alright? Your art is gorgeous and makes my brain think and brings joy to me all the time ^^ would absolutely link to the art and credit you. that's not even a question :)
That still depends on which art you’re specifically talking about! And thank you so much for the compliment!!
Anon said:I don’t know if you read fan fiction, but I have one to suggest to you! It’s called, “It’s Obvious When You Lie”. Only three chapters are out so far, but it’s really good!
I’ll add it to my marked for later list then!! Thank you so much for the rec, I don’t easily try out ongoing fics so this was very nice of u!!!
Anon said:In the body switch AU Todoroki sees how fucked up Midoriya feels around Bakugou('s body?) and realizes wow fuck this guy has traumatized my bf. I wonder what I can do to fuck w/ him so the day before they switch back (So Bakugou can't do much in retaliation) he takes Bakugou's body and does the stupidest bullshit ever as revenge
HECK anon sorry but nothing like this would happen ever as long as I’m the one writing the AU! For three main reasons! One, I don’t think Deku is traumatized at all! His relationship with Baku at the moment is actually pretty damn neat and on equal footing, you go you two, growing so much!! Two, Baku and Todo are friends!!! And Todo would never be a dick to Baku instead of just talking to him, if he had a problem with him!! Three, even if one and two weren’t true, Deku has no need for knights in shining armor fighting his battles for him!! He’s a strong independent boy and if he hasn’t fought Baku over this it’s probs cause he doesn’t want anyone to fight him over it!!! Also in this specific AU Todo and Deku aren’t dating, so the scenario doesn’t work for me! Sorry!
Anon said:Have you ever thought about krbk wedding?
I have! And I’ve talked about it on here a few times too! Lately I’ve been thinking about it again tho, from a designs point of view, because!! There’s that very neat post going around tumblr about that wedding photos in which one of the two grooms has a white tux with a cape, and I’ve been thinking about a variation of it for Kirishima’s wedding suit :0 something red instead of white, but generally similar! It’s a lot of effort to draw it so I still haven’t, but yeh!!
Anon said:Hello! I read this fic about your cat comics and the author said to send you some love in their end notes so here is some well-deserved love: your art is beautiful! It's why I became interested in BakuShima and I would not have loved these characters as much if it weren't for you. You also seem to be a very nice person, your mind is beautiful and I am glad you exist
G O DS this is such a nice ask!!!! thank you so so much!!!! ;O;
E grazie!
NUHHHH GRAZIE A TE PER ESSERE COSI’ GENTILE OMFG !!!!!!!!!! ;A;
Anon said:Okay okay okay! I adore your art! Could you maybe... draw some KiriBaku fantasy? If it’s not too much to ask! It can be as simple as can be! Your art is just really cute!
Yes I can and yes I will!!! Definitely and in the near future, did you know one of the app games JUST revealed a fantasy wolf Baku as a special halloween chara?? It’s just fantasy Baku with wolf ears and tail, but he’s adorable and I’ve been wanting to draw him since I saw him this morning ;O; so cute!
Anon said:Pssst. Singer Baku, Guitarist Kami, and Drummer Kiri. A good hc if I do say so myself.
It IS a great thought!! Drummer Kiri and Singer Baku have always been a weakness of mine too, so heck!! What a good image! If we put Jirou on bass and vocals too and sero on keyboard and mina on guitar, you make my fav band right then and there hahaha
Anon said:I'm not in the BNHA fandom at the moment but your art still continues to give me the warm fuzzies
GODS ISN’T THIS A NICE ASK!! I’m happy I can make you enjoy even characters you’re not specifically into! Thank you so much for sticking around!!!! ;O;
Anon said:i just got into bnha and fell in love with your art, started going through your sketch tag, and then realize that youre the person who made a bunch of haikyuu comics i loved a while ago so im! very glad to rediscover your stuff!!
HOLY GODS THAT’S NEAT!!! Welcome back!!!! ;O;
Anon said:I love it when you draw kiri with his hair down 💕💕💕 so good, so pure 💕💕💕💕
Oh boy thank you!! ;O; he’s so much easier to draw with his hair spiked for me, knowing people like the way I draw his hair when down means a whole damn lot!!
Anon said:Hello! First I love your account and artwork! Second will you ever be drawing Mako and Taiyou again? They are so adorable! Also Bakugou and Kirishima seems like amazing dad's!
Thank you!!! And yes I will! I have another ask around here asking about them, so maybe soon! Just gotta find the right idea to draw, I got a bunch but they’re all way too long for my curret attenton span level sadly hahaha rip
Anon said:lmaaaaooo my boi kaminari be having an emotional awakening
Kaminari is like, he’s always somewhere subconsciously known that Baku’s objectively pretty, but since he knows him so well and he’s always around him and most of the times they’re bickering and making fun of each other he’s never actually realized, so now he’s like oh, NOW I see it hahaha
Anon said:hi u probably get this enough but I wanted to give u all my appreciation for ur art thank u for sharing it with us I love everything u post ♡♡♡
THANK YOU!!!! It might be greedy of me but this sorta asks are never enough for me, so seriously thank you for taking your time to drop by and be so nice!!!
Anon said:Could you please draw more of the body swap au? Or what if a different pair of students were to switch?
I’m not gonna draw any other switch with other students, because before settling on Baku and Todo I went through a lot of possibilities and came to the conclusion that nothing would be as funny as Baku and Todo switched are (or at least nothing Horikoshi hasn’t already done himself lmao) so there’s that. I might draw more of them switched, but to be honest with you the only idea with that concept I have right now is Bakugou forgetting he’s suddenly taller and continuously walking into things around the dorms, so there’s that as well hahaha
