sooometimes i wonder where we stayed in canberra when primary/high school took us there for school camps... anyway i was looking at something else when i came across this ~ibis styles canberra eaglehawk, and maybe that’s where we stayed in yr 6?? is there a usual place that all schools book when they take the kids down to canberra lol. orrr i feel like we might’ve gone there for... yr 10 or something (i forgot which year it was). idk, maybe yr 10. if we had smartphones back then i would’ve totalllyyy been interested because i’ve always been interested in where we went/where we stayed, and mapping it out and studying the route/what we’re close to/how long it’ll take to get there, etc. plus, with a smartphone i’d have taken a lottt more photos lol

canberra got a lot of hate from us back in the day, and i guess it still does now too, and maybe it deserves it, but i guess it really depends what you go for. if you like peace and quiet but with the convenience/services of a city (and dry cold winters (the dryness is more of a problem for me than the cold lol)), then canberra’s the way to go, i guess.

Heeseung is the type of boyfriend who likes to playfully flirt with you in public just to get a reaction out of you. It’s a habit he’s had since before you started dating.

Jay I think is more of a silent lover. He’s not screaming “I love you!” in your face 24/7 like some of the other members, but that doesn’t necessarily mean his love for you is any less.

He prefers showing his love for you by putting his black card to use no matter how much it may annoy you. Jay’s rich tho, so he has no problem dropping 1k dollars for you when he wants.

And while the expensive bouquet of flowers and fancy restaurant dates are nice, Jay also knows how to plan a more relaxed dinner date.

He’ll put his cooking skills to use and make a cute little picnic just for you, complete with activities like painting or stargazing.

You also didn’t hear this from me but, Jay is an extreme cuddlier. I’m talking straight up will put you in a chokehold just to keep you from getting up and leaving him in the freezing cold.

Oh lord where do i even begin with Jake.

I guess i’ll start off by saying that he loves showing you off. I’m talking will go up to random strangers in a 7/11 to say things like,

“this is my girlfriend? isnt she so pretty?” and then he proceeds to get upset if the person agrees or says nothing at all like okay 💀

Then you have to yell at him for drawing to much attention to you when you have on disney pajama pants and the first sweater you could find from off your dirty floor, but he still insists you look great.

Apart from that he’s not afraid of being affectionate in public, he’ll hug you, hold your hand, and kiss you at any given moment. He still knows when to keep a respectable amount of distance between you two, especially if you begin to show signs of discomfort.

The two of you are either polar opposite’s or the exact same in terms of personality but otherwise, star-crossed lovers. That’s exactly what you guys are.

Sunghoon I think is a perfect combination of what Jay and Jake are as boyfriends. He’s quiet but can get really loud with his affection whenever he wants.

Café dates are a must. He enjoys the peacefulness of sitting together drinking coffee and talking about how you’re both feeling.

I get the feeling his favorite form of physical affection is hugging you, getting to feel the warmth from your body and the way you nuzzle into his neck makes him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

He’ll never admit this to you but he loves being woken up with kisses onto the moles that decorate his pale skin. He’s faked being asleep at least 10 times just to get some kisses and bask in the warmth of it all.

Sunoo is probably the most energetic lover out of all the enhypen members. Nothing and i mean absolutely nothing can stop him from letting it be known just how happy he is to have you in his life.

He loves any and all kinds of dates, baking dates? loves it. stay at home dates? he’s got snacks ready. fancy dates? oh he’s going ALL OUT.

Taking pictures of the two of you is another favorite of his. His camera roll is 90% just you. He tears up a little when he has to make room for camera storage cause he wants to cherish your memories together on his phone.

I think he’s also very big on keeping you well fed. He’s always making trips to the store and buying your favorite snacks so you never run out.

Physical affection is another big thing for him, he wants you to feel his love not just through his words and actions but quite literally through his body too.

He’s a perfect boyfriend.

Jungwon, Jungwon, Jungwon, our lovely leader is def a shy lover. He’s quiet but his actions speak a lot louder than words.

Niki likes to facetime you at random parts of the day just to annoy you, jkjk he does it cause he wants to talk with you. Being around the hyungs for so long makes him miss you and feel lonely but he’ll never admit that.

He more often then not will sneak you into the practice room to show off his dancing and will ask for your opinion afterwards.

It’s mandatory that you give him a kiss everytime he does something good or else he gets upset 😠

All in all he’s just happy to have someone to call his home away from home.

The actors moved quickly on the set, getting to the correct positions before speaking their lines. But something was amiss, Geto didn’t seem as enthusiastic as usual. Everyone on set could tell his mind was focusing elsewhere and not on acting. 

“Go talk to him,” Shoko nudged Gojo’s side. 

“No,” Gojo said, “I said hi to him this morning and he gave me the nastiest side eye.”

“I would too if I had to see your face in the morning,” Shoko replied, earning a dramatic and loud gasp from the man beside her. “What could he be thinking about?”

The two of them watched as Geto sat on the chair placed near a camera. He was scrolling through his phone, a small smile spreading onto his face before it was replaced by a look of sadness and longing once again.

Shoko and Gojo tilted their heads at the same time. Trying to guess what could be troubling their dear friend. 

“You both are idiots,” came Nanami’s voice from behind them. Both of them whipped around with a scandalized look on their faces.

“I am not!” they both exclaimed. It was kind of scary how in sync they were.

Nanami only moved to stand next to them. “It’s nearly Y/n and Suguru’s anniversary. He’s upset since she won’t be here because of her university.”

It felt like a light bulb appeared on top of their heads; everything fell into place.

You and Geto had been together for nearly four years, and your anniversary was in five days – this Friday to be exact. Usually it would be spent together, but because the university you went to was overseas the two of you hadn’t seen each other for a while. 

It also meant because of the situation there was a high chance that your anniversary would be spent apart. 

“Hey I know what we can do!” Gojo exclaimed suddenly, making Shoko and Nanami look at him with their eyebrows raised.

“And cut!” The director’s voice sounded throughout the set. Maki and Nobara relaxed their forms at his voice. The latter rushed to go hug the former complimenting her on how cool she looked.

“Geto and Mahito we’re gonna do your scene next so ready up,” he said, turning to face them. The two nodded their heads before moving to see the stylists in case anything needed fixing up. 

Today was Friday and Geto was especially glum. More glum than he had been all week. He hadn’t even had the chance to hear his girlfriend’s voice over the phone yet either. Sure, the two of you did text each other, but it wasn’t the same.

Even if you had called, it still would’ve been different because you weren’t here with him. 

Geto knew the consequences to having a long distance relationship, both of you did. But the both of you also knew that you loved each other too much not to try it out. So you did and it worked out pretty well most of the time.

Even if there were moments when all you wished for was to be in the arms of each other, to fall asleep next to one another, to feel your partner there physically, and when every once in a while an argument happened, to make up face-to-face. 

But sometimes you have to give up something to get something else. In this case it was being close to one another. 

The sound of the director’s voice broke though his thoughts as he nodded before walking to get into position. Just before the scene started he saw Gojo running to get somewhere.

You put the mask on your face before taking a deep breath. “Okay how do I look?” you asked, turning to face him.

He fixed the cap on your head before nodding at you. “Perfect, let's go inside.”

When you didn’t budge from your spot Satoru put his hand on your head giving it a pat. “Relax, it's going to be fine.” 

“I know,” you said. And you did. But still that didn’t mean that you weren’t nervous, it had been months since you saw Suguru in real life. Plus he didn’t know you were coming over because it was a surprise and maybe just maybe a little part of you was anxious about how he’d react.

You hoped he would be happy.

“Let’s go,” you said, beforing making your way to the door and twisting the handle to open it. Gojo followed behind closely, eager to see his best friend’s reaction. 

You walked closer and closer to where Geto was recording, the mask and cap hiding your identity in case any one noticed you. Finally you and your boyfriend’s best friend stopped a few meters away from the set.

Your eyes roaming around Geto’s figure as he did his job. The urge to run to him and hold him was so strong but you held yourself back not wanting to ruin anything.

You watched as Mahito said his lines and before Geto could reply to him he looked into your eyes.

It felt like everything had slowed down as you watched your boyfriend run towards your direction. Everyone looked at him confused, cameras that were recording capturing everything on them.

Stopping just a few centimeters before you Geto whispered your name. 

“Hi Suguru,” you said, and that was all it took for him to pull you into his arms.

Butterflies raised a storm in your stomach from how hard they were fluttering, you melted into the hug leaning all your bodyweight onto Geto. His head rested on top of yours which was in the crook of his neck.

“I missed you so much,” you mumbled out, arms tightening around his waist. 

“I missed you too baby,” he said, before pressing a soft kiss on your head.

Everything felt so peaceful at the moment.

But Gojo Satoru just had to open his mouth. “Ew couples.”

“Not our fault you have commitment issues Toru,” you said, sticking out your tongue at him.

Geto let out a laugh at your response. His heart felt much lighter than it had all week. You were with him and that’s more than he could’ve asked for.

Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji were hunched over looking at Nobara's laptop as she scrolled. Every few seconds they would stop to read something before a sound of amusement left them.

“What’re you three laughing at?” you asked, trying to take a peak. Geto stood to your left, his arm around your waist as he also tried to look.

“Here,” Nobara said, before holding up the laptop for you. Taking the device from her hands you click on the video that was displayed.

It was a video of Geto running to you on the day you had decided to surprise him. As you scrolled down the comments and retweets under the video made you let out giggles of your own.

“Who uploaded this?” Suguru asked curiously even though he had a person in mind.

“It was Gojo,” came Shoko’s voice from behind. And that was all the confirmation he needed before running to hunt down his best friend.

First of all, I should be financially compensated for having to watch this guy in an Ethel Cain shirt for thirty minutes.

Also, all of the voices used to narrate the posts were so blatantly exaggerated to make people he disagreed with sound cartoonishly villainous which was cringy as fuck. He was incapable of handling this topic with maturity or neutrality at all, and that made it incredibly difficult for me to digest this.

Here's what I learned, unbiased, from the video.

JKR saw a tweet from another user that claimed that nazis burned books related to trans healthcare as an argument point against her. This original tweet had no sources. JKR asked if this was a fever dream and commented that she would need to check her sources because it sounded false. Because it does. Because the original poster didn't provide any proof of this. That isn't Holocaust denial, that is skepticism towards a random Twitter user who made a big claim on a sensitive subject without providing further information. You shouldn't blindly trust what you're told online, especially on Twitter.

The books that the Nazis burned were by a homosexual Jewish man. Someone apart of the LGB alliance who was not JKR got into arguments over whether or not the author of the books was truly a good person, with accusations of him being pro-eugenics and supporting the castration of homosexuals being brought up with a book as a source. JKR posted a link to the thread with this information, but did not make the claim herself nor did she probably read an entire book or look too deeply into the claims happening, which granted she should have done, but she clearly took the elaborate thread and source for granted.

According to mister YouTuber, neither he nor someone else on his source team could find exactly what the LGB alliance claimed was in the book. He admitted things could have just been worded differently than on the thread, but the exact phrases such as "genes" were not in the book. Apparently the author was with a man 40 years younger than him though which I don't know why mister YouTuber brought that up (not even negatively, just randomly dropped) but okay I'll mention it here I guess

Hirschfield (the author of the burned books) was in fact racist and a supporter of eugenics by admission of mister YouTuber. Oops! Mister YouTuber admits that Hirschfeld supported castration for the "feeble-minded", but argued that there wasn't any evidence for homosexuals being considered under that umbrella for Hirschfeld. He also admitted that Hirschfeld, regardless of showing support for some feminist movements, still viewed women as inferior to men.

Hirschfeld's research partner created vaginoplasty, and it's mostly practiced the same way today. He (the research partner, Gohrbandt) also practiced horrific experiments on people for research in hypothermia apparently (and was never punished afterwards), but that's somewhat unrelated. Which leads to:

Mister YouTuber conflates criticism of Hirschfeld's political views and research to the criticism of modern transgender plastic surgeries sterilizing people, which is something JKR has expressed concern over before. This entire discussion isn't even remotely related to the denial of the Holocaust.

Next a user named Alejandra accuses JKR of Holocaust denial with screenshots to various articles that discuss the burning of Hirschfeld's books. JKR replies that the burning of Hirschfeld's books does not mean all healthcare books researching transgenderism were destroyed nor were trans people the very first victims of nazis, which Alejandra didn't claim and argues that she didn't. JKR responds with a screenshot from another user who was making those claims to clarify that despite Alejandra not saying it, others were. That was a bit off topic, but mister YouTuber goes on about people commenting unrelated to JKR even outside of the whole LGB alliance discussing the Hirschfeld mess as well, it's not just JKR going off about unrelated shit during this discussion.

TRAs were trying to twist the narrative of Hirschfeld's books being burned to instead mean that transgender people were the first target by Nazis and that ALL books pertaining to them were destroyed, which was factually not true and, frankly, incredibly insensitive. Mister YouTuber argues that a TIM named Dora who had vaginoplasty surgery at Hirschfeld's institute disappeared during Nazis storming the institute. Dora may have died or been arrested, the actual fate is unknown. I have no comments on this because no one ever said trans people never died to Nazis which he is insinuating and arguing against but I'll mention it here.

Mister YouTuber uses this incident as proof that trans people were targeted by Nazis and they lost all of their research - which was mostly worded with the same mythical usage as when people describe the burning of Alexandria, where people assume we'd be way ahead of what we are right now if the burning didn't happen. I wish I could drive home the fact that transgender people were killed and targeted (and still are today!) because they're seen as homosexuals. A lot of them ARE homosexuals. Man who is feminine = gay = a threat that needs to be dealt with. That is the reality of violent 'transphobia'. Homosexuals were murdered by Nazis. People like Dora were seen as homosexual males. Hirschfeld was a homosexual Jewish man.

The video then pivots to be about whether or not transgender people were killed by Nazis for being trans. JKR criticized TRAs for making the literal Holocaust center around themselves.

Mister YouTuber then goes on about transgenders being targeted by Nazis. We could go in a circle again explaining that transgender people were conflated with homosexuals which is exactly why Nazis would want them dead, or we could go over how NO ONE SAID THEY WERE NEVER KILLED BY NAZIS, but it's useless to keep having this argument. I will bring up that race was a big factor for transgenders when they encountered Nazis according to mister YouTuber's source excerpts though - 'aryan' transgendered people were almost always safe while Jewish and Roma ones were not according to this video's sources. When they (aryan transgenders) were charged, they usually had to pay a fine or go to prison rather than concentration camps. While still bad, it's not even remotely comparable and it happened far less because usually they were deemed not guilty in court since they were "racially superior"

Mister YouTuber brings up JKR's goblins in Harry Potter which is beyond a dead horse at this point.

Here's a direct quote from the fucking video YOU linked me from this man himself: "Joanne may have denied Nazi war crimes, but she isn't a Holocaust denier."

She literally only showed skepticism towards a random Twitter comment that didn't provide sources or any explanation. Should she have researched on her own time before responding with skepticism? Probably! But to stretch skepticism to mean Nazi war crime denial is just that: a stretch.

YouTuber uses anti-Semitic comments from other Twitter users as proof that JKR is bad somehow. Not her fault and there's plenty of TRA idiots who comment dumb shit all the time too. It's irrelevant. She has millions of followers and I see disgusting comments on random Twitter posts literally all the time, it's extremely common to have annoying bigoted trolls on there.

Anyways, here's my takeaway from this:

JKR needs to stop responding to random TRA comments who say dumb shit without sources. That TRA was using the Holocaust, a horrific and traumatizing part of recent history, as an argument point for the trans movement. She probably should have just ignored it or researched what the commenter was talking about so she could be better prepared.

With that being said, I didn't get any notion of Holocaust denial from her whatsoever. I saw nothing but skepticism at a random comment because people love nothing more than to be painfully inaccurate about historical events

I don't think Hirschfeld sounds like a good person at all thanks to his racism/hatred towards black people, his misogyny, his support of eugenics, and his bizarre 40 year age gap relationship, but I don't support Nazis terrorizing him for being a homosexual Jewish man fucking obviously. I would say that Malcom bringing all of this up is sort of irrelevant to what was actually being discussed. It's good to know that Hirschfeld had horrific political views but that wasn't really the point of the discussion going on so it felt really unrelated and out of place in my opinion, but Malcom isn't JKR.

JKR linked to Malcom's thread because he expanded on what these claims were talking about and he provided sources about Hirschfeld and his beliefs. She just didn't read the book that he used. I think she needs to be more careful about source checking and research, because otherwise she's ripped apart even if it's not her saying it.

'Aryan' transgender people were spared the horrific crimes of the Holocaust more often than not according to the very video that you linked to me. I hope white TIMs think about that before they make the Holocaust about themselves, which is exactly what JKR was saying she didn't want them to do. Because she doesn't deny that the Holocaust happened and knows it was a horrific event. It was almost alwaysJewish and Roma homosexuals/transgenders who suffered the brunt of Nazi hatred.

I don't read Harry Potter, and I don't have a deep attachment to JKR. I went into this video wanting to see where exactly the accusations she's receiving were coming from, and I'm left just feeling frustrated and disappointed. It's normal to not trust what a Twitter user claims at face value. It's normal to be skeptical about big claims surrounding the Holocaust. It's normal to not want something as serious as that trivialized.

There were some talking points in the video I didn't cover because I'm on mobile and I didn't have as much to say about it. The link is there for anyone to watch it and take away their own opinion afterwards.

My opinion is that I think JKR handled this poorly, but I do not think she is a Nazi nor do I think she is denying the Holocaust.

December 16th 1993,

You and Eddie have been dating for 3 years now. You both met at a Dio concert and have been inseparable ever since. You’re currently both living in Chicago. You share a small one bedroom apartment. You’re working at the record store just around the corner while Eddie and Corroded Coffin are trying to make it big.

As every evening at 6:30pm, you finally arrive home right after closing the store and Eddie is already home and waiting for you. When you come into the apartment, you can hear Eddie jamming on Sweetheart. You recognize the song he is strumming as Hollywood Black from Dio’s latest album. You take your shoes off, wash your hands and quietly join Eddie in the living room as not to disturb him, which failed because as soon as Eddie sees you, he put his guitar down and get up to kiss you on the lips. You kiss him back before slumping on the couch.

“Baby?” You ask shyly.

“Yeah Swetheart ?” Eddie answers while sitting next to you on the couch.

“There is the MTV Unplugged tonight and I was wondering if… maybe we could… I don’t know, watch it?” You ask hesitantly.

“Since when do you watch MTV?” Eddie asks, laughing.

“Eddie, something can be both popular and good!” You say, hurt by Eddie’s assumptions. “Besides, you hate when someone judges your music tastes but right now you’re doing the exact same thing to me” you answer, both irritated and hurt. Eddie has the decency to look sorry, he even places a small kiss on your temple as an apology.

“What’s the name’s band?” Eddie asks you, mainly to show you that he cares about you and your interests.

“Nirvana…” you hesitantly answer.

“Baby, with all respect due, in a year, when everyone will forget about them, including you, you’ll look back at this conversation and you’ll be like : you were right Eddie, I was just listening to them because they were popular”

“No I won’t Eddie! Because I genuinely like what they do ! You should know better than anyone else that I don’t listen to music for the fame of the artists.” You say, frustrated.

“Or because they are your new celebrity crushes. Maybe your ‘metalhead phase’ is over. In Two weeks you’re gonna leave me for a punk rock wannabe rockstar dressing like Nirvana’s members !” Eddie says, feeling really insecure at the moment.

Your facial expression soften. “Eddie… first of all I still love metal music… second of all you’re not a phase… I thought we were past that… I love you. For who you are. Not only because I love metalheads. But because I like your personality, because I like who you are inside as well.” You tell him earnestly.

When Eddie doesn’t answer you keep going. “Please, I ask you to listen before judging them…” you say while rummaging into your bag.

“Sweetheart… we both know I won’t like it so why losing both our times. Watch your thing if you want. I'll go out with the boys"

“Please Eddie” you borderline beg. “I want you to listen before making your mind on if you go out with the boys or watch the Unplugged with me…”

Eddie let out a huge sigh. “Baby… I love you but I’m convinced their music is gonna be those kind of crap I hear on the radio when I go to stores or when I was selling weed at parties in high school. It’s not my type of music.. and I didn’t know it was yours”

Eddie ends up caving in. “I give you one song to convince me.”

You almost jump up and down and run to the CD player, you put the CD in and put it on the seventh track: Negative Creep.

Kurt and Krist’s first strums echo in the apartment, Eddie is positively surprised by what he is hearing, at half of the song you can even spot him head-banging and play the air guitar. You smile when you spot your boyfriend being so entranced by the music that he forgot his preconceived ideas about Nirvana. When the song ends, you look at Eddie hopeful.

“That was pretty sick” Eddie ends up saying. “I understand why you love them, they are not some pop crap…” Eddie admits.

“Told ya!” You proudly say. “You should trust me Eds, I work in a record store after all.”

Eddie kisses the crown of your head “I’m sorry for doubting your excellent musical taste my darling” Eddie says in a theatrical voice.

“Does that mean you’re gonna watch the Unplugged with me?” You hopefully ask.

Eddie hugs you from behind and says in your ear “I will make an effort to watch the insufferable channel that is MTV to watch it with you”. Once he’s done with his statement, Eddie kisses your cheek and then your neck before turning you around so you face him. As soon as you’re face to face, you lean in and kiss Eddie’s lips. “Thank you kind sir, for sharing this moment with me.” You say before sitting on the couch together.

An hour later, you and Eddie are watching Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged, not knowing that you’re watching what will be one of Nirvana’s last concert. You don’t know yet that this performance will be considered one of the greatest performance in the history of Rock music but you and Eddie both praised the concert. When you saw the stage you were so excited and told Eddie how bold of a move it was to create a setting resembling a funeral, especially for a rock concert. You were surprised when members of a group named Meat Puppet came on stage with them. And you were a bit disappointed when they didn’t do an encore, but Eddie reminded you that after all, they are not-conformist at all. Eddie even told you he was so happy and baffled they decided to be non-conformist on MTV. According to him, this band will have a huge and long-lasting impact on the rock n roll scene. Eddie even told you that if they ever had a concert in a Chicago, he’ll come with you.

At the end of the concert, after turning the TV off, you told Eddie how they didn’t play most of their hits. Even before seeing what the critics had to say, you and Eddie both agreed that this performance wouldn’t be forgotten, and you were right.

I have finished "On Authority".

Yeah, I see why there is discourse about it.

Marxists like to call anarchists idealists and they are not always wrong, but this work feels like absolutely non-materialistic sophistry. "Well you say that authority is bad, but without authority of schedule railways wouldn't work, so it's clearly not bad". I don't know what kind of guys he was arguing with, I did see some absolutely ridiculous takes, but I am pretty sure that most of political discourse about authority is about one people exploiting others. In my mind he spent a lot of time arguing with opinion that nobody helds and then says that it also applies to the opinion he was actually asked about.

He himself says "well we could accept authority being restricted to where it's absolutely necessary, and state in fact has to be destroyed, but doing either now is bad because... reasons I guess".

And like I do think that revolutionary state with control over at least military and industry is necessary for revolution to survive, but he doesn't argue about it that way.

I couldn't find sources that are as explicit on it as I remember, but first kings of Uruk, the first state, were priests who organized agricultural work in the fields that belonged to the city, and such position allowed them to accumulate the wealth that made them kings. More radical "irrigational theory" is currently considered to be false, but it also existed. This is the exact kind of authority he is protecting.

Like that's not the first time even last week when I "ask" communists something along the lines of "idk when things like that happened before they only led to emergence of new kings and new empires, not some change for better" and their response is "well, you see, you can't blindly extrapolate the history because those other times communists weren't in charge!" and like it doesn't sound particularly reliable. I agree that I may just miss on some important things (I will DM another marxist once I read enough of German Ideology), but as a historian I just can't look at things that look very similar to slightly earlier stages of civilisation and not expect the result to be the same.

(The reason I am messaging this to you is because I was also the one who considered switching to anarchists for practical reasons, so like, okay let's where the actual differences are)

Yeah the whole “well we just had the wrong guys in the seats of power there” stuff is very fundamentally off-putting to me it just reveals such a different (and idealist lol) way of thinking about power and structure and all that.

I likewise don’t find the argument of “well these places existed under siege so they needed someone at the helm making tough choices” compelling because when there are circumstances where war communism or austerity or any other emergency measures are necessary, it should be decided democratically by the working class, not a separate class of bureaucrats.

I do also think Palestine is a good example to look to right now when considering this sort of sectarian discussion, because there the resistance is a unified front with marxists and anarchists fighting alongside Hamas and PIJ in operations. We will need similar cohesion when shit hits the fan other places

Thoughts About Last Twilight Finale as I watched it

One part of me is happy to seeing them flirting and getting along, but the other rage-filled part of me that has not healed from episode 11 is honestly kind of upset about them being able to do that again like the breakup wasn't as painful as it was. Like obviously its been several years and i'm glad they aren't holding onto any of the pain from it because that wouldn't be healthy but just.....it hurts a little seeing the characters be okay when i'm still not. (And like it was a painful breakup and we're seeing no trace of that with their interactions).

I appreciate Night and Porjai little attempts to get them to talk and Mhok being a bridesmaid makes me happy.

Ok so they've talked about the breakup and Mhok's thanking Day for it? And saying he was right? So we just aren't going to discuss that fact that Mhok's actions were a combo of things besides pity? Like his trauma with his sister? I want it to be addressed gosh darn it, they haven't talked about it enough in this show. They spent this whole show talking about how Mhok didn't pity him and now you're saying that in an instance where Mhok's actions could be explained by a couple different reasons, you went with "actually he does pity him" as the reason? I just feel like there were better ways this could have been addressed but they had limited time.

So it was a setup...but how????? like???? what???? If you knew Mhok would be in there, when did he let you know, because there was no point in running around the airport if you knew he would stay....

Honestly I feel like the breakup was pointless now... like yeah they had the conversation about growth and whatever but it feels like Mhok acts the exact same so I don't feel necessarily if he can differentiate between he role as a caretaker and as a boyfriend, which was a legitimate problem. And I also kind of hate that he is apologizing. It just feels like Mhok is once again focusing on others feelings and not his own, and so they will run into the same issue as they did before.

As you can probably tell from all this, I now feel very protective of Mhok and it makes me upset that he hasn't gotten the chance to work through some of his issues. I know he is more the type to pretend everything is okay, but there has to be a limit. Like at the least acknowledgement of his pain

Final thoughts: 

It was a good show and I enjoyed it for most of it. I understand why they did the breakup (though I don't think it was entirely necessary), and yes it may have been good for them as a couple, however I wish it had either happened earlier or they made the show longer because it felt very quick leading up to it, and I felt like the last episode just didn't have time for them to discuss it in a more meaningful way and actually show why it was beneficial for both of them. I also think it would have given more time for the audience to process everything (it resulted in me thinking too much about the breakup to be able to be happy at some of the good things about episode 12). We got one conversation about why breaking up allowed them to grow, and I just wish we had a bit more than that. I also would have liked it if it had discussed Mhok's troubles and emotions a bit more. It led to the relationship feeling a little bit unbalanced some of the time. Overall (!) I enjoyed it (with the exception of certain storylines that I have already discussed). I don't think I can ever classify as a comfort show again (as I did before episode 11). It was definitely not perfect, but it wasn't an awful show, and so I am going to try and remember the good parts of it.

Thank you so much (and shout out to the anons who sent me links. I'm gonna respond to all of y'all collectively with this one).

Honestly, at first my jaw was on the floor and I was just sitting there silently in shock. And I was kinda mad and upset. I just feel like they did this same exact thing with TATBILB and I just don't understand why she would spend so much time writing the characters a certain way and building such a beautiful little world with such respectful men and then changing such a big part of a characters beliefs and the way they were written. I know people are saying "JH is making it more sex positive and bringing the story into 2023" but tbh I don't think having a boundary and wanting to wait for the right moment (bc Belly DOES want to have sex (with both brothers at different points I'd argue) and she thinks about it in the books. she just wanted it to be special and the right moment). I don't think there's anything wrong with showing that and showing boys who respect the boundary and don't push it or force it. I think that is the most healthy thing you could show. Even though Jere has his flaws and gets annoyed about Belly not having sex with him, he doesn't really push her on it, he just respects the boundary and is silently mad about it. In hs my best friend had a boyfriend who was SUPER pushy, she was honest with him and kept telling him "no, i'm not ready yet" and he just kept pushing her about it, and eventually they broke up and she realized how awful that behavior (among other red flag behavior from him) was. I just feel like the message being sent to young girls today is not a good one and I was actually kind of excited to see a show that would portray sex in a different light. I clowned myself because I thought since JH is the showrunner, she'd keep the important things from the books. But I guess this is a battle we are losing lol. That Christmas scene was so so good in the book, and the way Conrad is with Belly, how he recognizes the importance and wants it to be special for her...I was really looking forward to that.

After much consideration, I think I'm actually okay with it, as long as it's Conrad. And I have a feeling it is going to be Conrad, in Cousins in December. That's kind of the only way it would make sense is if it happens there. Also the fact that they bring up the fact that she loses her virginity immediately following "Tung...wanted to ensure that key moments from the second book...carried the same weight and resonance when adapted for the screen". The first thing that popped into my head after I read that was the Christmas in Cousins scene, because I felt like that whole thing resonated heavily in the book and it was really important. Also if I'm right and it is Conrad in Cousins, it actually adds more flames to the fire and more angst to the 3rd book storyline, because if she doesn't sleep with Jere but he finds out somehow that she did sleep with Conrad, and then finds out she ended up alone with him in Cousins again and didn't tell him? Oh that will be GOLD. Jere sleeping with the sorority sister could still carry the same amount weight. Just because the audience knows she lost her virginity to Conrad doesn't mean any of the other characters are going to know. And Conrad strikes me as a guy who wouldn't kiss and tell (and especially his own jealous little brother and Belly's older brother lol). I think they could 100% pull off the rest of the plot and still have her give herself fully to Conrad. But I can see the secret coming out to Jeremiah in the heat of an argument and all hell breaking loose. I think it'll be fine. It has to be lol

Since there’s a post using very tired arguments I’ll just talk about it.

From what I say onwards is my opinion and anyone can disagree, this is just my observations and opinions on what actually happened in the show.

Side note: If your post is clearly anti mileven, do better in censoring and tagging your shit because it still shows up in the tag.

Okay so let’s start with this section.

So there’s this problem that B*lers have with not stating it’s their opinion first and foremost. Because they state that El “clearly” didn’t believe Mike when he said I love you…but where’s the exact confirmation? That sentence alone is an opinion that is not based on facts or even context. And apparently Mike idealizes El?

The same Mike that was worried she was draining herself way too much for everyone else, the one from the very beginning that said “she’s not a dog.”, the one that said “no, you’re not a monster, you saved me. You saved me.” But he’s idealizing her? He clearly states that he loves her with or without her powers. That is factual and from the show.

El doesn’t believe she is a superhero anymore because of the way she views herself. It is why she pulls away from Mike because she would hurt more if Mike saw her as monster, but Mike never saw her a monster just who she was. Personally, I think her powers make her a selfless superhero at times, she is always saving everyone and the world from danger.

So about the argument scene. El crying in front of Mike is not just because their relationship, it’s everything that happened yesterday, with hopper being gone, Angela showing up and humiliated her, and she hit back. but because she let her anger get the best of her, she’s feeling like a monster because of it. Her flashbacks to kids dead covered in blood with Brenner asking what she’s done, triggers her downward spiral internally. Which makes it harder for her to see clearly how Mike doesn’t view her as a monster.

If someone was sobbing in front of me, begging me to say I love you to them, I would be shocked and not immediately say I love you because then it wouldn’t seem genuine. Also her emotions are fully controlling her so hearing I love you wouldn’t have made anything better. She could have just said it was a lie or think he’s lying because she’s not in the right headspace to accept those words in that moment. That’s what I think. Obviously I have no idea what is going on in their minds but I can guess.

Mike was dealing with deep self-esteem issues and considering he’s been bullied his whole life, he thought he might not be needed anymore, because she didn’t tell him about her situation and he doesn’t know if he’s a good boyfriend for not even noticing her going through it. But he only had letters and he believed what she said in them. Both of them are not to blame, they are two teenagers still navigating this crazy world they live in where the upside down resides.

I believe that, Mike cares and loves El in a romantic sense because both of them felt like outcasts but understood each other when no one else would. Yes they have shared trauma but their relationship is far deeper and has a foundation set by a literal ride or die friendship.

Alsooo, remember when I said some annoying B*lers thought it would be hilarious if we thought Mike meant what he said?

Yeahhh. That’s exactly what I was talking about. Proving my point once again.

I personally don’t see how Mileven was a mess. Maybe I’m too biased but I’m pretty sure they’re the healthiest couple on the show. Even when they were broken up (briefly), they never stopped being considerate of the other and being there for the other person. Mike said “it’s a fight you cannot come back from.” And that makes me think.. wow that’s such a teenage thing to say, because any argument when you’re in relationship feels final but it wasn’t, because I think El still loves him and is willing to work things out with him, but it’s going to take some time. It doesn’t mean they’re a mess, they just have way too much to deal with, aside from their relationship. Like Hawkins falling apart, and Vecna still alive but hurt. Call it wishful thinking but I’m not worried about their relationship.

Now, this same old opinion that has been circling since season 4 “ El was distant from Mike after the Speech.” Again considering what happened in the show, it’s understandable that El isn’t in the speaking mood. She just found out Max was in a coma and couldn’t find her anywhere in her mind. That can mess with her mental state especially because El feels like she failed Max.

But don’t forget that she wasn’t denying physical touch and closeness with Mike during the hospital scene with Max. They stood side by side and she was wearing what I assume is a hoodie of Mike’s. And automatically she leans against his shoulder while he rubs her shoulder briefly. That does not signal to me that she’s planning to breakup with him because she can still think about taking down Vecna but want the relationship with Mike in tact.

El being independent has been the whole show. She’s been alone since her birth, considering she was builled by other kids and escaped by herself and only had herself to rely on until she met Benny, and then the party. She gets separated from the party at the end of season 1, she stays in the woods by herself for about a month I think. Then Hopper takes her in but she’s still so isolated and alone because she can’t interact with her friends in fear of Brenner finding her. And then In Season three she gets to spend more time with Max and got to know her better. In season 4, she’s separated from Mike in handcuffs, and then by Dr.Owens taking her to Nina. She spends majority of the season alone because she was learning more about herself and getting back her abilities in the process. When they finally reunite it feels amazing and both of them are just elated to see eachother alive.

El can be independent and still be the one to save everyone because Mike is not the one with powers here, she can take care of herself and she’s shown that time and time again.

Mike Wheeler is more than El’s boyfriend. He is the leader of the party, the one that comes up with plans and follows through. He’s also the one that comes up with plans that help El or like season 4, find her location. He is dealing with untreated trauma, watching El “die” in front of him, talking to his Walkie-Talkie and feeling her there but feeling crazy for thinking that. His family situation(enough said). The way school has affected him in terms of the cliques and the bullies. Then there’s the Upside down and the constant fear that he’ll lose the person he loves to Vecna. He’s so much more than her boyfriend, he is a fully-fleshed out character that deserves more respect and honestly, I hope to see him grow more in season 5.

Is there any confirmation that they are miserable with eachother? No? Then don’t say it as a common fact. El deserves to be loved unconditionally and Mike does love her unconditionally, that’s why he takes their conversations more seriously, that’s why he’s different than his dad, he actually thinks on what he said and how it affected El. And he works on himself to be better and more open about his feelings especially with El. And Mike did say I love you to someone, El.

In the show, he said I love you. Personally, I think that type of post is dismissing the complexity of their relationship and is only scratching the surface of it. Also love the cherry pickiness of scenes that are twisted in such a negative way that I never would have thought upon viewing it the first time.

At the end of the day this is my perspective. I’m not posting this to change anyone’s minds. I just want people to read this and at least understand why I think this way. Instead of being sheep, develop your own opinions about the ships in context of the show and if you don’t then that’s okay, Fanon is cool too. It’s only problematic when Fanon is treated as Canon facts.

One of the most interesting arguments I ever heard regarding the whole anti/proship thing is "If you were abused, you would feel this way too."

I'm guessing it ties into the mentality of, I'm responding this way because of my abuse, and because your art/writing/fictional content is hurting me, it's hurting abuse victims in general.

Yes, maybe you find this upsetting because it ties into your personal history. You CANNOT make this generalization for everyone, and it's wrong to tell someone what they can and can't make based on that generalization.

This was a random person on Twitter (I know, I made a mistake engaging with them, but bear with me) assuming that because I didn't understand their logic of why "proship" stuff is so different from horror movies, or why it's okay to tell artists what they can and can't make/share, that that means obviously I hadn't experienced the kind of abuse they were talking about. Because if I had, I would agree with them.

One: I have.

Two: I should not have to share the fact that I have with people online, especially to avoid being targeted when I try to be a good role model and say hey, maybe we shouldn't be accusing people of crimes with no evidence, or sending death threats to other people online because they draw or write dark themes.

Three: Even two people who experienced the exact same thing process it in dramatically different ways. Maybe you prefer to process it on your own, and get upset when you see anything related to it. Maybe someone else processes their experience through fiction (and no, you as an individual do not get to decide once and for all what's "romanticizing" said experiences).

JUST because I made the above comments about horror movies and death threats, this person I interact with instantly tried to start a callout/dogpile with no evidence that I had done anything they saw as wrong or that I supported/agreed with "proship" stuff (even though they accused me of doing so in the callout).

(They took it down once I said hey, I genuinely don't understand, I'm not trying to start anything. So obviously it was a reactionary thing and they made it without even thinking first.)

You say you're trying to protect victims, but you're also hurting other victims. If you're so concerned about the unintended consequences of people's actions hurting others (especially those who have experienced abuse), look at your own.

Anyway, I thought that was interesting, and it makes me so sad to see younger folks especially telling each other to kill themselves over fictional "crimes". No one deserves that and I wish I could change it somehow.

If you accept a different argument for Chenford ;) - I actually don't agree with you and your anons about Chenford. Sure Tim almost dying in the last episode was anticlimatic and it had big potential but the scene that followed where they went into a flirty banter with smirking was top notch and showed their chemistry and their good old banter really well. I also think they used that scene to show Aaron's mind and character. He seems to be the one who's clearly onto them, whether he thinks they're together or just have feelings for each other. They've established similar reactions from Tamara and Angela and i think they'll play important role in the upcoming episodes when they'll either come out with the truth or be exposed by someone else.

I also think not all love declarations in fiction need to be big and dramatic. I think fans often want stuff that come across as too dramatic or fanfiction-y. And in Chenford's case they have years of friendship going on. They don't need to dramatically explode, telling each other they're in love. They already know they the other one has feelings based on ep1 and2 when they were about to have sex and then acknowledged it, followed by all the angst in s5. They're actually really good at communicating. Even when Tim doesn't want to show his vulnerability, Lucy always gets it out of him. He doesn't share his stuff with anyone but her. They know each other inside out. So I don't think they needed a more dramatic first kiss. That whole last scene was the sweetest ever - they were both just really content and secure with each other. Could they have done with more angst in the previous episodes? Sure. But i think that's because it's an ensemble cast and there's not enough time (i wish there was less Nolan scenes lol). Right now, let them have a few episodes of pure bliss. Drama will hit them soon enough. And it may not just be work related - there's also Chris, her past relationship with Nolan, Isobel could come back, Lucy could go UC for a longer period and it'd mess with Tim's head due to his history... Also, people want slow burn but this is season 5 already. There's nothing worse than waiting for this long for a ship with the best chemistry to finally happen only for it to be canceled/actors leaving with hardly any happily together time :)

Sure- and honestly I’m happy that the people like you who love it are satisfied and happy with the result of the slow burn they’ve been waiting on. I mean that. I like to see people happy with their ships. And I realize I seem to be in the minority with being underwhelmed with Chendord’s canon. That’s fine. I’m happy for the fandom that I am.

Most of this stuff we just have different opinions on and that’s not gonna change. I have mine so I’m not gonna yammer on for too long about what I think and all the things I think could’ve been better because I already have. I think the scenes needed to have more weight, and you don’t. We just don’t agree. But imo (okay I guess I am gonna yammer a bit) BECAUSE we waited so long for the slow burn, we deserved something more substantial and not just “cute”. They could’ve gotten together at the exact same time and it could’ve been ten times more satisfying, easily. It’s CHENFORD. They deserve a memorable canon scene/turning point and not to get together basically like any old ship on the show.

I respect your views but the only thing I’m gonna totally call BS on is the ensemble cast not having enough time thing. That’s just an excuse and they DID have enough time, had they used it in a different way. Plenty of my favorite ships do not involve the main character and had huge emotional arcs to getting together, like Stydia. It’s the writers’ job to utilize all their characters and scenes in efficient ways.

And just to make it clear, I do think the chenford scenes are cute. Their chemistry is excellent so of course they’re cute. It just feels unsatisfying to me in the lack of impact and fulfilling storyline. You see it as not needing to be fanfic-y, and I see it as it’s a television show and the whole point is to be entertained. These emotional moments between your biggest ship should be a little more magical than real life, and it doesn’t have to be fanficy and stupid to reach that.

This is…the saddest argument I’ve ever seen in my fucking life.

The it wasn’t a question but a statement thing? No shit Sherlock, that’s a commonly known phrase not unique to me or anyone else. I’m astonished that you think you can actually argue a line you copied straight from mine by pointing out that part of the phrase is used in other works.

Because guess what? I’ll show you an example to make this easier: Another common phrase is “you never know till you know.” This might pop up in an Avengers fanfic and a Harry Potter fanfic. Heck, maybe even in the same fandom, or even the same pairing.

But if you saw a Loki x Reader fanfic where it’s the exact same situation and exact same scenario and the exact same scene in the exact same place in another Loki x Reader that begins with the exact same plot that uses that exact same line?

It’s the context and you damn well know it.

Also I hate to tell you this, but some of your followers have spoken with me privately and, while they are still following you, they agreed with me that it’s plagiarism. Even some of your own damn fans know it.

The Old Days animatic by Knp lives rent free in my brain. Watching that animatic changed the trajectory of my life I'm so serious it's so aklsjdhsgajksdshass the way it so perfectly represents c!dream's longing to return to a simpler past? when he could laugh and have fun with c!george and c!sapnap???? the way you can see when c!dream stops smiling in the animatic?? aughhhh c!dream team my c!dream team you are a wound that never stops aching.

22. If you had all the time, resources, and skills to create your ideal piece of c!Dream fan content, what would it be?

I've talked about it before, but genuinely You and I Drink the Poison From the Same Vine (my theoretical c!dreambur semi-canon compliant fic that I talked abt in the post linked). I think about it all the time. I would love to just... have the commitment needed to write this long fic that examines canon through the lens of one non-canon element being added.

Also, it'd be really really fun to write interactions between c!punz and c!wilbur (where c!punz doesn't understand why c!dream keeps c!wilbur around and does what he wants and c!wilbur holds his connection to c!dream over c!punz's head like a taunt).

Uh, other than that, I have a slide show about c!dream that I never finished. I started making it with the goal of presenting it to my non-c!dream sympathetic irls haha

24. When/how did you become a c!Dream apologist?

Okay, this is going to get long and I may get into way more detail than I need to, so buckle in because this was quite the journey for me.

So, I didn't get into the fandom until around august-september of 2021. However, I had multiple irls who were really into the dsmp in late 2020-early 2021. And, uh, they're very very non-sympathetic to c!dream. (also believers in the l'manburg mythos, but we are not getting into that...) anyway, I heard a lot about the dsmp from an outside perspective during my time of not being in the fandom. And this included hearing about the exile arc (with one hilarious instance where my friends did not specify it was rp so for a moment I thought cc!dream was just a really really bad dude 💀) and hearing about how horrible c!dream was how evil he was etc etc.

In typical "I am not invested in this fandom at all but my dear friend is" fashion, I just agreed with them. All of my info came from hearing them talk abt something they were interested in, so why would I disagree?

Anyway, flash forward, like, half a year, and I begin watching the manhunts. I got really into them and ended up reading some non-dsmp fics. And then everything spiralled and I got sucked into the fandom. I remember reading some c!dream redemption fics, and I was really enjoying it, but I still didn't consider myself an apologist. Afterall, my entire first impression of him was how horrible he was through my friends.

Anyway, I don't have an exact timeline, but it wasn't until I actually followed someone from dreblr that I started fully embracing my c!dreamisms and my c!dream apologism. I kept my c!dream apologisms hush hush in front of my friends for so long. I still do to an extent. I'm scared, okay? And I don't wanna get into arguments with them, so it's best to just, like, not bring it up I guess.

Tell me some stuff about twins. I never do any real person research for my characters but I should really start.

oh wow okay that's a long answer so be mindful of that

also this is all my own experience so if you happen to be part of a pair of twins and wants to chime in, please do so.

Okay first thing first: there are two types of twins. Identical twins and non-identical twins.

I am a non-identical twin. Which means exactly what you can be thinking: my sister and I are nothing like each other physically. She has brown hair and eyes, I have somewhat blondish-brown hair and grey eyes. Our face structure is different, our features are different. Our body is different.

Most of the time people don't even guess we are twins at first! But we are.

Second thing I should probably say: I'm two minutes older than my twin (yes it matters) I'm the older one.

Your set of twins are going to be x minutes apart from the other and that's a number you take to your grave. That's a number you remind them everytime you are in an argument and you want to make a point.

My sister and I grew up in a neighborhood where there weren't any kids out age, so we've spent almost all our childhood together. This translates to use having almost the same exact memories of things, our own language (invented words to refer to something or someone and we talk backwards when we need to say anything with people in front of us), key words that we created when we were little and basically the same childhood!

If you went to my twin and said "the girl and the fence" i know what she's thinking about. And if you told me "Imagine by John Lennon" I can interpret you our own version of the song that we wrote when we were like eight or so.

This means that more often than not we speak at the same time and say the same (I guess you could say it is because we have similar braincell patterns if you want to get scientific, but telekinesis is a much nicer explanation)

Still of course we are not the same person! At all! We both have different hobbies, likes and dislikes and are our own person, even if we still relate to a lot of things. I like to refer to my sister's hobbies as "the same as mine, but in a different direction": we both like reading, but we read different genres; or we both like a sport but for different reasons.

Living with a twin us not living with your best friend. Not always. We fight a lot (as siblings do) over dumb stuff and we are not joined by the hip. Specially not literally since she is in Germany now so...

Maybe this is also just my case, but I've grown so used to people calling me by my sister's name that I answer to it automatically, so maybe that's a twin's thing as well.

In my course, we were four set of twins: two pairs of two boys, us and a pair of a boy and a girl. Of course everyone had different dynamics but I think it's safe to say that almost all of us share that proximity with our sibling the way separate siblings don't do (← can't know for sure cause I don't have a separate sibling just my twin and I)

Somehow, the fact that we shared course, sometimes teachers, a friend group and later on the same class, has made us build our self concept around each other. Being a twin is part of our identity and now that I'm in uni and I'm meeting new people it initially shocks me when they are surprised cause they just found out that I'm not a single kid. Cause I'm clearly half of a set, you know? Still of course I know it's not something visibly clear.

We have a lot (and I mean a lot) of inside jokes, of stories and memories. I think she knows me more than anyone could ever because I've spent all my life with her. There are some childhood grudges as well (like when she ripped the scratch page that smelt like chocolate from my Geronimo Stilton Fantasy Kingdom book)

Aside from that now that we are kilometers away, our day to day conversations usually are either calling the other while we are studying and just talking about whatever or sending us memes and tiktoks saying "that's u" (she just did that as I'm typing this)

“You make it sound like I’m going to die.”

Y/n started to mix up the wax in the melting pot, a small smirk playing at their lips. It was really late at night. 3 a.m to be exact. Y/n and Liu, despite their rooms only being two doors away from each other, were texting and the subject of shaving had come up.

Y/n started to complain about just how much they hated the idea of waxing, let alone even doing it. The complaining had gotten to a point where Liu claimed that Y/n was ‘over exaggerating’

Y/n did not handle that claim well.

So they invited Liu over to their room to show him the insufferable pain of waxing. And of course, Liu being the cocky guy he is, kept insisting that Y/n was over exaggerating.

“And how would you know you won’t die Liu? Have you ever waxed before?”

“No but see, the thing about me, L/n, is that I’m not a pussy.” Y/n dramatically put their hand where their heart was.

“Are you saying pussy isn’t strong? So not live, laugh, girlboss of you.” They said sarcastically. Their counterpart rolled his eyes, jumping onto the countertop.

“I denounce myself from feminism. I am now an alpha male.” Y/n huffed out a laugh, making a ‘tsk’ noise.

“Are you going to make fun of me for having pronouns?”

“I would but you don’t have blue hair so I guess it evens out.” He said, a dramatic sigh that feigned disappointment. Y/n giggled slightly, causing Liu to smile.

“Okay, ready for the most excruciating pain of your pathetic life.” He widened his eyes at the statement.

“Are you…degrading me?” Y/n scoffed and scrunch their nose up, the facial expression causing Liu to break into laughter.

“You’re actually so disgusting.”

“Come on, you love me.”

“No, I actually find you kind of repulsive now.” Liu shook his head slowly, feigning sadness.

“Well, it was fun while it lasted.” Y/n squinted their eyes and did a hand movement that indicated “so-so”.

“Whatever, let’s just get this over with so I could show you just how bad you made this seem.” Y/n mimicked him under their breath.

The cold wax went onto his leg, causing him to flinch slightly. Y/n smiled and looked up at him.

“Darling we haven’t even started yet and you’re already scared?” Liu rolled his eyes.

“Oh hush, it was just cold. You think too highly of yourself.” Y/n got up so that the both of them were at the same eye level.

“That’s because I am highly. Bow down to me you fool.” They said sarcastically, staring Liu straight in the eyes.

“Never.” Y/n raised their brows, their stare at Liu not faltering once.

“Oh really?” It was then that Liu had noticed just how close they were. Y/n parted their lips, a sigh escaping them. Liu gulped, eyes not daring to break contact with the other pair.

“Guess you must be punished then.” Their breath was hot, just barely grazing his upper lip. He parted his lips as well, getting ready to fill the gap between them. Letting their lips get closer.

And closer.

And closer.

And-

RIPPP!

Y/n watched as Liu’s eyes went wide with shock.

“MOTHER FU-”

A laugh escaped their lips, seeing the sheer pain Liu was in. He grumbled, rubbing the area of his leg that is now hairless.

“That’s not fair, you caught me off guard.” He mumbled, watching Y/n rub a tear out of their eyes.

“Excuses, excuses. It’s okay Liu, you don’t have to lie to defend yourself. I get it, you're wrong but you don’t want to admit it. But don’t worry, you’ll get over it.”

“Shut up, you know that’s a lie.” Y/n ruffled his hair, dismissing his argument.

“Fine, I’ll pull it when you're ready this time. But I’m telling you, the pain is going to be the same.” Liu only rolled his eyes at their cautioning, waiving a hand at them. Y/n applied the wax on a different area of his leg, knowing how bad it would hurt considering how much hair he had on his legs.

“So, what do you think of having the hair off your legs?”

“I mean I’m fine with it, but Sully isn’t all over the idea though.”

“Yeah well Sully has masculinity issues so whatever.” Liu chuckled at their joke, running a hand through his hair. Y/n extended a hand towards him, causing him to raise an eyebrow.

“In case you need something to hold.” Liu rolled his eyes again, grabbing their hand.

“What an odd way of flirting.” Y/n furrowed their eyebrows.

“I’m going to pull it now.” Liu nodded, motioning Y/n to rip off the wax. His grip on their hand tightened, jaw clenched. Y/n studied his face with a small smirk. His breath went heavy, brain occupied with thoughts of who knows what. It was quite the site to see.

“So?” There was a beat of silence between them, Liu gathering his thoughts.

“Painful, but I’ve experienced worse” Y/n rolled their eyes, getting right in front of Liu’s face. With Liu sitting on the countertop, Y/n had to lean their hands on the counter and tiptoe.

“You're cute when you lie.” Liu looked at Y/n with slightly raised eyebrows, thinking of something clever to say. His efforts ended up going to waste when the girl pulled his shirt collar down to kiss him.

Liu deepened the kiss, bringing his hands to cup Y/n’s face and push them as close to him as possible. He slid off the counter, spinning so Y/n would be backed onto the counter. Their hands ran up his neck and played with his hair.

Liu’s hands ran down their face and to the hem of Y/n’s shirt, about to slide his hands underneath it. Y/n tugged his hair and pulled him back. Both of their breathing was heavy, and for a second was the only thing audible in the bathroom. For a second, Liu thought he had done something wrong up until he saw the slight smile on Y/n’s face.

“Slow it there Buckaroo, we still have to finish waxing your legs.”
