Keepin’ it brief about Hatchetfield headcanons

(specifically more for some private AU that is work in progress, but also can be applied to canon for some… probably just infodump on how I see these two blorbos at the moment. If I find energy I may write more headcanons up here of others)

Paul’s eyes are a dull blue whereby think about grey rainy days going to the office, or a very misty winter morning in grey London, and thusly his colour palette will be muted to contrast that of Pokey’s vibrant blue. For this, his suit and tie is ordinary, never-go-wrong black. He certainly has social anxiety, using his “ok” to try and ground himself back. To people he’s fine with, he will make the effort to give them eye contact. To people that he finds annoying, like Ted, he doesn’t make that effort to give them eye contact just to try and save his socialising battery. He’s a nice guy, he would look out for his community, whichever he chooses, and will try to help out when he wants to. However, he will be firm on his boundaries. Don’t invite him to a musical, he will always reject. Don’t try forcing him to go to company functions, he’d rather rest at home and have a great breather from living life. He is living in a rental apartment and his car is also rented. He has a whole lil wardrobe of only a few black suits and maybe a few black ties. He follows a very strict schedule that he sticks to, maybe even repeating what he eats and drinks for weeks on end and rarely, ever, change this schedule at all.

2. Ted’s love language is physical. Very physical. He seems to yearn contact: he’ll hug Pete whenever he sees him, he’d want to tap his (perceived) friend’s shoulder and give it a squeeze, his plan on loving Charlotte involves fucking. Using Nightmare Time to study his character further, Ted’s nickname by Jenny as Teddy may be because of the fact that he is an absolute cuddlebug with the right person. “I’m not a Teddy Bear, I’m a lion.” may be him attempting to affirm himself that he is not a “soft” man that is only a cuddly Teddy bear, which… he is. After that whole experience with (his 2004 knowledge) knowing that Jenny left Hatchetfield with Andrew Kilgore to Clivesdale, Ted probably broke so bad he adopted Kilgore’s entire behaviour and became the Ted we know today. His eyes are a brown that seems to ever so slightly, shimmer like gold in the right light. Hardly anyone has seen Ted’s real smile in a while, not that anyone else would know besides maybe Charlotte. Still Ted keeps up the act, hoping to put behind his old self that he finds himself hating, for being so… “soft” and vulnerable. But his old self still resurfaces whenever he feels like he is receiving love from what he deems as “the right person”… usually someone that leads him.

soft dewdrop HCs

there are a few scenarios that can cause dew to become a soft ghoul boi™

maybe you had a long day and he can sense that you're off and he wants to help you

or maybe dew's just looking for a shred of affection (i live for affection starved ghoul boi <3)

for a surprisingly stompy and temperamental person, dew can be really affectionate

i like to think his love languages are physical touch and quality time, so he will demand ask for cuddles

if you decline because you're busy or just not in the mood, dew's down to just hang around, your presence is enough for him :)

if you two do end up cuddling (with your permission of course), please, please, please let dew be the little spoon

it doesn't matter if you're bigger or smaller than him, 75% of the time it's an unspoken oath that he's the little spoon

that is, unless, you ask or he knows that you could use some cuddles

dew probably isn't used to handling and expressing his other emotions besides anger, so seeing him in such a vulnerable state is a gift from satan himself

while he's affectionate, dew's also pretty self-conscious

are you cold or is he too warm? should he warm his body up a bit to help you?

you can practically hear dew's thoughts

all it takes is a bit of whispered affirmations or gentle touches to quell his mind

sometimes while you're cuddling together, his tail begins to wag and dew hates it

dew will literally begin to wrestle the appendage, gripping it in an attempt to stop it (spoiler alert, it doesn't)

sometimes after long rituals, dew will seek you out and silently drag you back to his room where aether awaits

the three of you have one big cuddle pile and sleep the night away :)

With the help of one of their friends, Cloud makes it to Sector 7 under ShinRa's nose. If only everyone else didn't know he was there.

sabito relaxing on the engawa early morning watching the sun rise, slowly turning when he hears footsteps heading closer. giyuu walking up next to him silently, head hanging so his hair hides his face- sabito gives him a sad apologetic look, he doesnt know what happened during giyuu's patrol but he can guess. He leans back just slightly as giyuu drops in his lap, pulls the edges of his haori around to engulf him as he buries his face in sabito's shoulder. Not a word is said the whole time, sabito gently nuzzling into giyuu's messy hair and holding him firm as the rising sun laps at their edges, tension slowly easing until hes the only thing keeping giyuu upright.

viceversa; both of them locked in bedrest at the butterfly estate after a mission gone wrong, sabito getting up out of bed anyway the moment the butterflies leave. giyuu notices the way his arms tense from pain despite his face not so much as flinching as he walks around to giyuu's side. he pulls the blanket off and sabito carefully throws himself over in one heave, stiff and a stuttered breath as giyuu tenses himself from sudden pressure on a tender spot. slowly relaxing as the pain ebbs away, giyuu pulls the blanket back over the both of them and smooths it across sabito's back as he cozies himself up with his head against giyuu's chest. giyuu's face softens as he realizes what all it was for- silly sabito, he thinks with the ghost of a smile. running his hand through fluffy pink hair and playing with the odd strands sticking out, other hand holding sabito against him, above where his heart is, just as his head's above giyuu's.

“Evenin’! You Alastair?”

Startled by both the loud voice and its accompanying country accent, Alistair looked up to see a radiant face adorned in a cowboy hat and matching scarf, the teen’s left cheek covered by a star-shaped bandaid. 

“Y-yes.” He replied, wishing he hadn’t agreed to the idea of a blind-date by Cater and instead spending his night ensuring his brother’s safety. Especially now that a lightbulb dressed as a cowboy ended up being his match.

“Cool! Name’s Winston, sorry about my attire by the way, I would have changed if I didn’t have outfit-editing duty today.” the cowboy introduced himself before sitting down at the table.”Although, you probably knew that already. Everyone I meet seems to have visited Toytoriya on my practice days!” He grinned.

Alastair glared, both confused and somewhat peeved. “I didn’t actually, and I’ve never been to Toytoriya’s realm either.” He snarked, only remembering the glittering charms and plushies covering the dorm's entrance in the Hall of Mirrors. Winston, oblivious to the sarcasm oozing out of his date, looked at him with a stupefied face.

“Really?!” Toytoriya’s star yelled, before remembering where he was and lowering his voice. “You’ve never been? Oh, I’ve got to invite you over! We got plays, a playroom, fireworks,” He paused, “although I recommend wearin’ headphones if loud noises freak you out. Oh! And sometimes we get to borrow animals from clubs for performances! Man, it reminds me of my farm back home, we got pigs, horses, chickens, cows and a duo of cute rabbits!’

Alastair’s head perked up at the name of the last animal. “Oh jeez,” Winston stopped. “Sorry about that, I’m ramblin’ all over the place and not giving you any space.”

“You have rabbits?” Alastair asked, ignoring Winston’s words. “What kind?”

“Uh, well, they’re my twin’s, really.” Winston shyly laughed. “But, I think one’s a checkered rabbit and the other’s some kind of lop bunny. What about you, ya got any rabbits?”

“O-oh,” the Heartslabyul student stuttered, “I do, just one, though.”

“Well, ya can’t just leave me hangin’, tell me more!” The cowboy smiled as he leaned on the table, interested in his mystery date’s affection for animals. 

Feeling his shoulders relax at his date’s apparent fascination, Alastair allowed himself to continue on. Soon enough, the two were having a full conversation, chatting about their day-to-day lives as their dinner arrived.
