slowly listening to the full cccc album my myself :]. im very much in the fandom, just might not get all the references. mind is my favorite guy (everyone else is awesome too) so that might reflect here haha. calamari’s mind neck was so interesting to draw, i had the idea it can retract-ish and hide away in his weird fluffy coat. they all look so cool 😭😭

oH and a little extra whiteboardfox doodle wouldn’t hurt anyone. i wondered why the tubes on his neck were there, and came to the conclusion maybe theyre to substitute bloodflow because his neck is broken and blocked :0!

kind of funny because i first discovered calamari’s art amidst the aftermath of some twilight sedation i had (related to my ✨gut issues✨). discovered both calamari’s (i think) and spook on twitter’s (definitely) art after that whole procedure when i was home and watching turning red, love that movie,,, makes me cry. kinda funny i’m returning to calamari and spook’s arties at the same time after discovering them both at also the same time a while ago. was it october? wow.

i finally did my dishes after a week, and i was like,, ok,,, i'm gonna fold the laundry now too (it's been four days since i washed it). but to do that, i have to make my bed (it's the only big enough flat surface i have in my dorm). and now i'm halfway through making my bed, and all of a sudden, it's like,, oh my god... why am i doing this there's so much more i have to do i've wasted the whole night and i still have to sort out all my blankets and stuff and then fold the laundry and then heat up dinner and it's all sooooo sadgojhaoigh ughhhh like at this point it's basically tomorrow and i can't deal with tomorrow because then it's basically next week and i have work due then and like i can't even think about doing that, but i have to ,because i have to do it tomorrow, because everything takes so long and it's already basically tomorrow

basically why does time pass and why is folding the laundry so fucking hard

hey girl is the room flooding or are you just happy to see me

#the room was flooding #btw #i have to say stepping out of my bed and into ice-cold water barefoot woke me up VERY quickly #it was only a little water tho so it's ok. less than an inch. AND it was clean #like this is not FLOODWATER floodwater. my stuff is soggy but not ruined. it could be so so so much worse #i also think the maintenance people were rather perplexed by my good mood? like #1. this is so far from the worst case flooding scenario it isn't even funny #and 2. girl my daily struggle is waking the fuck up. the fact that my room is flooded means that i can now be awake to study for my midterm #this is honestly an improvement over my normal daily stress level #cus see. ultimately. this is other peoples' problem. i'm not responsible for this one. i just happen to live here #the joy of dorm life i suppose #always very interesting to be standing on my soggy doormat in my buc-ee's pjs watching someone's job security flash before their eyes #at least one other suite was flooded this morning AND they mentioned that this isn't the first time this has happened. so. erm #maybe that's not a good thing. maybe some of my tuition should go towards... preventative maintenance? perhaps?#you know. as a treat. it's not really that important or anything.#not like there's a threat of. oh idk. burst pipes? flood damage?#all hypotheticals of course. that would never happen in real life #anyway...#this means i sure won't be procrastinating doing my laundry any longer!

#ignore me just rambling #i will not cry about this #but right now i hate my flat #and i hate how my new kitchen shelf has turned out #it's ugly #not what i had in mind #and i don't like my kitchen in general #but i shouldn't hate my living/craft room because it's nowhere near done yet #i do like my bedroom but that's also the only one with all antique furniture and what i had in mind #even if it is really messy and chaotic still and it might be impossible to actually put up curtains #because the wall just crumbles #bathroom is ok got a new cupboard for it #but i also spend the least amount of time in there and i already love it for being able to fit a washing machine #and no longer having to go into the basement to do laundry #argh i will get over this tomorrow it will all look different #rn now i am just having another emotional crisis about something else and the kitchen sheld not turning out how i #wanted it is just the last straw #but fuck do i hate it here rn #meins

made it halfway through changing my sheets. like i have to finish i obviously can’t sleep here until i put sheets on but. god i don’t want to… this fucking sucks!

#not fallout #kal talks #ok to preface this is a POSI VENT #it just might get a little heavy #i tend to be a Little Personal on here and im going to be a lil more personal. im thinky thoughts #but man... its been a year since literally the lowest point in my life #like last march. i will say. was... really bad for me mentally. i wont go much deeper than that but maybe some of you remember.#im much much better now but i will say i was a little wary as this month and anniversary approached because i was afraid basically #(the actual anniversary passed last week and i didnt notice)#but ive managed to do soo much growing and healing from where i was last year like it is honestly astonishing #im definitely not the same person i was when i couldn't even honestly confront myself #in a way i think what happened last year was one of the best things to happen to me #it doesn't mean that nothing bad will ever happen in the future but it does mean that i survived that and i can survive whatever else #happens too #healing isnt linear i know that. like obviously im going to have setbacks and some days im incredibly whiny and bitchy #like October/November were suuuper hard on me mentally #but again - still here!#still alive and still putting laundry away and taking baths and reading books and doing art #And its almost SUMMER again!#and god i want to live this summer.#and its kind of funny how...when you think you want to die just saying thr words 'i want to live' feels like...idk. it feels like something #but i want to live #and i want to go hike at zion and i want to eat watermelon and i want to sit in the sun and paint red rocks #i wanted to die last year and it felt so real i could have but im still here and i want to live and do things while im here #that's all i guess #life's hard. its a bitch and then you die. but there are some pretty good parts to it too and every summer i remember why

When I go home after work and immediately do one chore I feel unstoppable. Yes I do lie in bed for hours after that one single task, but it's not the same. It's better.

#misc #the chore in question was doing a laundry machine #im always late on my laundry cause 80% of the time im too drained to do it the week #but little victory #i mean i will have to unload it later but let's not think about that ok #i have so many appointments lately that i have to honour #physio therapist vet etc.#so i don't really have time #and I'm tired as hell #but ironically i feel a bit better mentally #started to 'deep' clean my apartment #now it's gonna take about three years because i clean and order one thing every ten days #and it's a mess #but it's better than nothing #my therapist said to do it slowly so it's ok #also the purpose is to invite someone to come over one day #so it helps me to clean #i always feel so guilty about the cleaning... like i know i am a filth...#but then i listen to news about how the cleaning is done so much more by women in a relationship than men #and i think 'you know what I always feel like shit cause im a woman i wouldn't even care if i was a man'#but then I'm pissed to be like these men™#(you know the ones...)#so it makes me want to get my apartment in shape skkzkzzkzkzkz #only very very slowly

Ok but for real us being soft over the Vessels’ tummies has helped me so much today

Like my pants were falling off my hips all day again. The same pair of capris that I was wearing last week and made the note: “Pulling a Vessel with the way my (loose ass) pants (with stuff in pockets) are coming down my hips”. And uh. Same today again. And so I didn’t tie them tight enough (partially bc I like not having to untie them to take them off). And so they were under my belly button and sliding down all day. Which is fine. But especially when I was doing stuff they slid further down and underneath my belly. Held up only by a hip. And if my shirt lifted up then like. It was all exposed. Soft round belly. Love handles. That crease by your hip (and above it too) (far rounder than all the vessels combined but that’s ok I’m fat and it’s okay.)

And I’m. Okay with it. (Today). I’m soft and squishy and round and it’s okay. And you know what? It’s even cute. Cute and soft and squishy and OKAY!

“Do you think I should get someone to do my laundry?” he asks.

“You can afford it. But maybe not. There’s nothing wrong with your own washing machine and a steamer.” You side eye him carefully. “Maybe I’m over the top.”

“You’re high maintenance,” he agrees. “Is it expensive, getting your clothes dry cleaned all the time? I could pay for that.”

“What? Why would you pay for it?”

“‘Cos we’re together?” He’s more worried than dry about it. “I’d like to pay for your manicures and your hair, too, but I didn’t think you’d let me.”

“And I won’t… s’kind of nice you want to though. Really nice, um.” You’re blinking funny. “I think that’s more of a husband thing. You really want to pay for me to get manicures?”

Spencer pays for lots of your stuff because he loves you. Good food mostly, but treats, clothes, anything he might think you’re interested in, actually. He likes to spoil you. You tend to spoil him back, if not with money then affection. “I like maintaining you.”

You curl your arm through his. “That’s a funny way to say it.”

He laughs at your obvious delight. “I like taking care of you,” he admits. “You like being high maintenance, it makes you happy, and I like making you happy.”

“Thank you very much,” you say, softer now as your hand works up his neck and you turn his face to you, the sidewalk and the streetlines melting away under your warm touch. “You make me happier than you know.”

His cheeks turn pink. He doesn’t need to see himself to confirm. It’s a high statistical probability.

“Kiss?” you ask, voice still soft.

Spencer walks you back nearer to the side of a building and out of the way, his hands at your neck and waist as he leans down just a touch to close your gap. “What if you pay for my dry cleaning,” you begin, a smile evident in your voice though Spencer keeps his eyes closed. Tracing the hill of your cheek with his fingers just a moment longer. “And I pay for yours?”

Spencer thumbs along your jaw. “I don’t want anything from you, just you.”

“Well, what if I treat us to some Indian takeout tonight?” you ask. “Would you eat that? Or am I enough to sustain you, my love?”
