back like. a month or so ago when that chancla post was happening? i kept thinkin about a scenario where Zeph hints at her whole intention of completely disregarding the Great Problem and focusing on the iterators themselves (her whole!!!! plan is called Mission Self-preservation!!!!!!!!) around the group and Suns, the usually apathetic brick of a fucker, just shoots up and attacks her about it n starts an argument

and as they are arguing about it and Zephyr's whole point of view is more n more revealed, Pebbles in the back starts shaking about it as if he's on the verge of crying and when the two arguing notice they stop and Zeph asks "...you know what i mean. don't you...?"

BECAUSE YES HE DOES. HIS RAGE IS A VALID ONE. margo actually hating the prowler and thinking anyone with masks and weapons are terrible ppl just bc of how bad things are on earth-42

every time miles and his uncle show up on tv news channels she talks shit abt them not knowing she's talkin about her bf and his uncle

miles is oddly defensive every time, just sayin stuff like "margo you literally have never seen these two hurt civilians or anyone else but cops for that matter"

margo argues back "they obviously steal stuff and use bombs that could hurt someone tho. and nobody who's up to any good is swingin around wearing stuff like THAT"

miles rolls his eyes and pouts a lil bit about it but is genuinely distressed that his own gf can't see the good that the prowler does on a near daily basis so that pushes him to actually help more civvies whenever possible.

it kinda annoys aaron but he understands. eventually aaron lets him go off and do his own thing occasionally, stopping bank robbers from shooting unarmed bystanders and whatnot

the word spreads relatively quickly and soon prowler gains a "vigilante" label on the streets. a couple of his saves end up on the news, too

cue miles smirking at margo one day as they're sat in miles' living room with the tv on.

"...so. looks like prowler's moving different lately, just like i said he would. not lookin too bad there, is he?"

margo scoffs and shakes her head. "i mean... it's cool that he's saving ppl now i guess. doesnt mean hes a good guy exactly but we'll take what we can get!"

this definitely doesnt help miles' paranoia at all tho. he's even more adamant with his uncle that margo cannot know abt their prowler business now more than ever.

And tbh even a basic understanding of star wars is enough to get u thru most of it, what I love about the universe in general is that yes there are lots of rules but at the same time there's no rules at all?? but for people who ARE seeing this for the first time, my star wars s/i is a Jedi Knight and my bff and I worked together to basically make an oc to be her Padawan! his name is Kepler Quinn and he's my perfect beautiful boy that I love 🥺

a lot of his character development comes from both coming into his own as a person through his training and through his relationships to others. He's been through a lot of rejection in his life already, so he kind of put up walls and has to learn to let people through them! Especially my s/i, who decides to dedicate herself to training him and making him see himself the way she sees him: as amazing! He's got a lot of really impressive skills, he's very in tune with the force when it comes to listening to it for insight, he's just not naturally a good fighter. That doesn't get you very far during a war 😅 but she thinks he's perfect! and she, and the other friends he makes are all part of his story.

I love it when the puppet is more akin to a body part the iterator must not forget to use when conversing with smaller organisms !

oh you are going to LOVE Notos and some of Haboob's lore when the big oc post comes out. and also Zephyr (who gets her puppet mangled into almost unregonizable mess of machinery and organic mush during her collapse but still lives n can Somewhat very minimally move the pieces of the gore). and Fish with his torn off head and half a torso in Saint's time..... i LOVE fuckin around with the puppets

BUT YES YES!!!! the puppet is just. another fucking organ, yea. which is so weird to say... i think of the puppets as fetuses from time to time because of the whole "umbilical" arm and "umbilical" cable business

perhaps the puppet bodies could be directly almost completely organic but hollowed out of mind and individuality in a manner to allow the iterator to plug into it and project their consciousness through it. it wouldn't be too outlandish for the Ancients to create a being for the sole purpose of causing it brain death upon its birth and then shoving the body into a box for a hivemind to claim. for fuck's sake afterall, those things that make up Metropolis might be very much alive too but not quite sentient enough to do much about their existence

(side note: i REALLY fuckin love the idea that Ancients are here like "oooOooOo iteratoooOoOOors you need to find an universal solution to mass ascension of the entire world, we cannot let anything suffer the curse of LiiIIiiiIIife boohooo waaaaah wah" while creating Living things that PHYSICALLY don't have the slightest chance to enjoy their life but only basically existing as bricks with karma. if we assume everything living possesses karma. this is also fun to think about when you know a bit about the buddhistic reincarnation system)

the fetus analogy is also kind of fun besides disturbing though, i'll say, what with fetuses not really being able to live outside of womb and also with the way the iterators look canonically... and that they are so small as well (das why i REALLY like the short iterators thing for canon). squishy ass fetuses, p sure if that shit got severed it would just kind of spasm, shrivel up, die and rot

i've had an idea cycling around my brain for so long of Nish giving a spook to one of the Ancients' children about how an Iterator is a hivemind given singular name and goal to be a singular being instead of millions. he says it in a joking way to wig out the kid a little but it's absolutely 100% true for once

i like to think that Sometimes the main body of the iterators (the superstructure) gets minimized into just "the can" by itself because the iterator gets a bit Too into seeing the puppet as their personification/self, to the point that they start to view That only as them despite their superstructure being alright. this results in one of the many kinds of madness an iterator can fall into - basically the cabin fever amped up, with their literal body causing them this mental decline

there it was, the competitiveness any gamer would know. from the cocky words to crazed grin, cora was no stranger to them. despite the jaded expression, she was the exact same deep down - the thrill of winning was too good not to fight for. this was one of the reasons why she even sat in the same room with idia, for a chance to find entertainment while recovering remotely. with an opportunity like this, how could you NOT want to play games?! you'd be out of your mind not to do so! part of her also yearned for any possible excuse to spend time with her now boyfriend, but you'd never hear that from a hard stoned cora.

however, any good moment had to be interrupted by the thoughts ringing in her mind - did she even deserves this? was it alright for her to express anything, at all? emotions were difficult for cora to fully grasp on, hence relationships tended to be quite a challenge. cora's mind reeled on the drastic shift in their dynamic. she understood, now, just how horribly she treated idia, and how cold and cruel she's been ... not just to him, but to everyone. her anger towards him wasn't true, at all, rather just an excuse to lash out her own pain. the truth was, she always loved him...always had and will...how willing cora is to do anything for her past mistakes just to be there for idia, even if it means falling through tartarus.

shaking her head to clear these thoughts off, the vice quickly grips onto the controller as icy eyes focused onto the screen while customizing her character and its' car. while planning ahead would guarantee a win in any game, be it solo or two player, who's to say you couldn't loosen up with the rules, either? which stats you should go for or who was the best character to amp your luck in winning didn't matter, as long as you're able to take advantage of the course. with that in mind, cora chose her character and vehicle of choice with a smirk on her lips. ❛ heh, can't wait to see the look on your face is gonna look like, especially after all your trash talk... go on, choose the map, too. ❜ she lifts a finger and repeatedly poked idia's cheek, her own lips quirked in small but slightly soft smile...quite a sight for anyone to see, yet it's only for idia's eyes. ❛ tell you what, idia ... loser has to order delivery, and it has to be whatever the winner wants. how's that sound...? ❜
