I don’t really get to listen to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan back in the USA. I used to BUMP this in the car, cranked up to 27. After 9/11, suddenly it wasn’t something you could play too loudly without neighbors looking at you suspiciously anymore. It’s great music, no matter what anyone says. Some of you might recognize this one from Natural Born Killers, the riot scene when Tommy Lee Jones loses control of the prison. I really don’t know what Oliver Stone was thinking using a devotional love song for the most violent scene in the film. But he did. Good song, though. Great album.
