ANYWAY, it’s truly Cursed that not only are we doing an homage to this 3-D Jensen Horror Date Flick but also this episode is specifically centered on Valentine’s Day.  The day honoring romance and love Now Coopted by Hallmark, everyone, that is the day spn writers chose to introduce us to 

Sir Horseman of THE Biblical Apocalypse Famine. 

Canonically, we are aware that the show is drawing from the book of Revelations in its depiction of the Four Horsemen.  Here’s what it says about Famine -

"When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.”

-Revelations 6:5

Famine holds scales (used to weigh out grain in times of food scarcity).  Spn’s depiction is represented as hunger, a bottomless pit of need.  It consumes souls (demon and human alike).  

Cas describes Famine a little more poetically:

CASTIEL 

"And then will come Famine riding on a black steed. He will ride into the land of plenty... "

"... and great will be the Horseman's hunger, for he is hunger. "

"His hunger will seep out and poison the air. "

***Consider a prior season in which we are introduced to the Seven Deadly Sins.  Which are the sins associated with hunger?

Gluttony

and Lust.

Back to the episode.  Case cold open, and we find out that Alice was a Nice Girl.  In that she didnt drink, smoke or

have premarital sex.

***So Alice’s hunger for the sin of Lust caused her to succumb to it; and her demise was presented as Gluttony (literally eating her partner’s flesh). HMM

Famine’s presence is affecting the town, and Cas is not immune.

DEAN 

And when did you start eating?

CASTIEL 

Exactly. My hunger-- it's a clue, actually.

***but that’s not accurate.  they didn’t get married or become obsessed with each other (remember the cursed coin in 4x08 Wishful Thinking and the unconditional love wish? not what happened here). they had premarital sex.  they did the thing Alice considers wrong, and dark, and sinful.  and then they ate each others’ flesh.

DEAN 

Okay, but what about you? I mean, since when do angels secretly hunger for White Castle?

CASTIEL 

It's my vessel-- Jimmy. His, uh, appetite for red meat has been touched by Famine's effect

***mad lad Jimmy Novak’s hunger is for...red meat?  He is starving for red meat?  You are telling me that the Novaks, red blooded conservative religious midwestern Novaks, ate RED MEAT SO SPARINGLY that Jimmy Novak was LITERALLY starving for it?!?!  No way.  Absolutely no way.  This is a man who was such a religious zealot he STUCK HIS HAND IN BOILING WATER and accepted an angel of the lord into his own body but his secret hunger was for fucking ground beef?

give me a damn break.

to me this is an absolute coverup.  Because Cas’s burger consumption is not related one iota to his vessel Jimmy Novak.

it is a representation of Cas falling.  Cas’s cravings for meat represent his growing (and very much prohibited) feelings for...humanity (Dean Winchester), and they are presenting as Gluttony in the form of his downing more and more copious amounts of red meat.  

SERIOUSLY, consider this - at one point the depiction is so desperately carnal that he is eating raw ground beef with his bare hands. It is fucking uncomfortable.  and it is SUPPOSED to be.  Famine stirs up hunger for the prohibited.  For the sinful. That which we are starving for but do not believe we can ever have, so we lust and we lust and we LUST after it, but should we allow ourselves even just a taste of what we have been ravenously craving, we binge it until we ourselves disappear into the oblivion of our own sinful, dark desires.

Since You Want More Examples of why this cant possibly be hunger for Cheeseburgers and Cheeseburgers alone, Consider Famine’s effect on Dean.  Remember his doctor kink?

**when its revealed that Doctor Corman has succumbed to Famine’s poison by drinking himself to death, Dean - very uncharacteristically by the way - reacts by saying out loud

Kya brushed out her hair, watching tentatively as Lin paced the room, her hand to her chin.

"Lin, talk to me," Kya said, her voice filled with concern. Lin just looked at her and Kya shrugged.

"I just need a minute."

"Okay, take your time." Lin looked Kya up and down, the waterbender pretended not to notice.

"Lin," Kya said calmly, but firmly, "we just made out, its not a big deal. Forget it even happened." Lin pursed her lips,

"And if I can't?"

"Then sit back down, we'll talk." Kya replied, patting the space next to her on her bed. Lin sat down and Kya scooted closer to her, making sure their shoulders were brushing.

"Whats on your mind, Lin?" She asked softly and the earthbender began to talk.

"Katara I'll never understand this house of yours. Why are there so many stairs? And why did you have to make them twisty?" Toph complained as Katara guided her up the stairs.

"Well you don't live here, Toph." The earthbeder snorted to which Katara clicked her tongue.

"Lin better be up here for all this hassle."

"She is, her and Kya came up here an hour ago."

"Heh, Lin and sugar princess."

"Toph!" Katara scolded. Toph laughed and Katara couldn't help but smile a bit, greatful her friend couldn't see it.

"What? There's not two people in this world with two more contrasting personalities."

"Zuko and Azula." Katara answered. Toph looked at her sarcastically.

"You should think on that," Toph replied, pushing past Katara and moving down the hallway.

"Oh so now you can see?"

"Its a straight line."

"How could you know that?"

"Earthbending technique." Katara looked to the wooden floor, and back to Toph who jostled down the hallway. She shrugged and followed her shorter friend.

"Kya!" Katara shouted, sighing at the lack of response. The radio was on in her daughters room and she offered a knock."

"For spirits sake Katara, just open the door."

"I don't want to interrupt-" she was cut off by Toph pushing open the door, staring into the room with her blank eyes.

Katara looked inside, her jaw dropping as Lin pulled herself away from Kya, looking to floor, cheeks hot with embarrassment. She nudged Toph with a chuckle.

"Still think they have 'contrasting' personalities." Katara asked with a grin.

"Katara."

"Hmm?"

"I'm blind!"

"Oh, right. They were making out." Tooh raised an eyebrow and Katara held back a chuckle, for Lin's sake. She couldn't wait to tease Kya about it later.

"Lin, did you come here just to get some sugar from the princess herself?" Toph cackled. Lin sat with her arms crossed and face scrunched in anger.

"Shut up," she replied. Katara put a hand on Toph's shoulder, pulling it back.

"We'll leave you to it, then." She said as they backed out, closing the door behind them.

"That was unexpected," Toph said as they made their way down the hall.

"Completely, I mean I expect this from Kya, but Lin? Thought you would've raised her to be careful."

"Thought the same about Tenzin too." Toph remarked and Katara swatted her on the shoulder.

"I hope we didn't ruin it." Katara said later, quietly.

"They'll be fine." Toph replied, sitting on the lawn chair, putting her feet up.

"You sure?"

"Yeah, Lin might need time. But Kya will take care of it." Toph flicked sand out of her nails and Katara cast a glance back at the temple, relishing over how Toph had called her daughter by her name.

"You're right, guess we'll see how this plays out." Katara said, leaning back in a chair of her own.

"If it doesn't work out, Lin will just move onto Bumi."

"Toph!" Toph chuckled, her hair infront of her eyes.

"I'm kidding. But seriously-"

"Not another word."

"Alright, alright." Katara sat back, taking a deep breath, issuing a silent prayer that it worked out for her daughter, and Lin. They both deserved happiness, and it looked like they may have found it in each other.

Present Day (after "The Box", before "The Office")

"Lin!" Kya called, preparing to press the transmit button.

"I'm here, I'm here." The metal bender said, sitting next to her fiance and kissing her lightly on the cheek.

"I'm about to tell my mom."

"Already?" Lin asked. Kya looked at her wife to be, a smile on her face.

"I cant wait any longer." Kya said.

"Alright, go for it." Lin wrapped an arm around the waterbender, preparing herself.

"Mom?" Kya asked. There was a moment of static, but then the radio chimed in.

"Kya! It's Tonraq, Katara's just coming in now." Kya's leg was shaking and Lin smiled at her excitement.

"Kya?" Katara asked fromt eh other side of the radio, her voice as comforting as ever.

"Mom! I have something to tell you." Kya built up the suspense, looking to Lin for one last dose of confidence before taking a breath.

"Lin and I are getting married!" She said. The other side was quiet for a second and Kya tried not to let her hopes get down.

"Kya Cloud, I better have been the first one you told!" Her mother said. Kya laughed pressing the button immediately.

"Of course! And, its going to be Kya Beifong now, mom." Lin looked at her with a raised eyebrow, they hadn't discussed that. She didn't mind, not all, but she would have to make sure Kya was sure about it later.

"I'm happy for you, both of you." Katara's voice claimed, and Lin felt, for a moment, like she wanted to tell her mother next. Kya pulled Lin into a hug, kissing her and Lin held her there.

"I'm sending a picture of the necklace and everything. We'll get you down here for the wedding." Kya said.

"I look forward to it."

"I love you, mom."

"I love you too, honey. Lin dear,.are you there?"

"I'm here Katara."

"I love you Lin, take care of my daughter."

"Love you too, Katara. Ami promise nothing will happen to her." She could envision Katara's happy smirk from the other side as they hung up. Kya stood up, shifting her position so she was on Lin's lap, pulling her into a deep kiss.

"I love you," Kya whispered. Lin kissed her a few more times before replying.

"I love you too." A cough came from the edge of the room and Lin recoiled when she saw her mother standing there.

"Mom?" She asked, standing up.

"Who else would it be?" Toph replied with a grin.

"Hey sugar princess," Toph greeted Kya. Kya offered a small wave before remembering a wave was nothing to someone who couldn't see it.

"Its good to see you, Toph."

"Lin," Toph began, "were you going to tell me you're getting married or am I just supposed to find out for myself?" Lin chuckled, walking over to her mother and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I planned too, tomorrow." Toph snorted, her face shooting in the direction of Kya again.

"Well come here," she grunted and Kya made her way over to them. "Bend, I want to see what my daughter came up with." Lin rolled her eyes and Kya made eye contact with her fiance as she took the necklace and gave it to Toph. After a moment of Toph feeling the groves and getting the basic shap she nodded in approval.

"Lin this is your biggest accomplishment." She said. Lin scoffed and Kya chuckled.

"Thanks, mom."

"I love you, Lin." Toph said and Lin was caught off guard, looking to Kya once again, for answers. Kya smiled softly, nudging her head in the direction of Toph.

"I love you too, mom."

"Hmmm." Toph responded. "I'm overstating my welcome. Send the details to the swamp."

"Why? You seem to know before I even tell you."

"Fair enough, but I want to brag to you're sister I knew first."

"Fine, but not until next week, sje won't know till then."

"Always so dramatic. Deal. See you around Lin, Kya." Lin looked to Kya with a raised eyebrow. Toph Beifong using a first name was a sign that she respected you. The elder Beifong left and the two of them were left in their apartment alone.

"That went well," Kya said, sitting down on the sofa. "Can we expect your mom to just... show up when she wants?" Lin flopped down next to her, leaning on Kya's shoulder, letting the waterbender stroke her hair.

"Oh definitely. Something about the vines, she sees us or something whimsical like that." Kya chuckled, planting a kiss on her lovers head.

"Ready for the final announcement next week?" She asked. Lin didn't even stiffen, or bristle, or seem nervous in any way when she responded.

"Absolutely."

I Know : Hyejoo x Reader

The Mnet Asian Music Awards, or MAMA awards was known to be one of the biggest award shows in kpop. Your group and many others had been invited as guests and performers. What you didn’t expect was to get offered a special stage with a male idol. More specifically you had a special stage with Taeyong of NCT.

To be honest you didn’t know how you were the one offered the opportunity. Given the fact that you were a rookie, only have debuting about a year ago. Either way you were still insanely happy that you were able to perform with such a well respected senior.

The one problem you ran into right away was that you didn’t exactly know how to tell your girlfriend about it. Of course she would be happy for you but you knew she’d be not the most enthusiastic about seeing you dance with a guy. Especially given the style of performance you and Taeyong were given.

So you just ended up not telling Hyejoo about the stage at all. It was supposed to be a secret stage, your own members weren’t allowed to know. You knew your manager would probably be upset with you if you told her anyway. So you just decided to stay quiet.

It was now the night before the big day and you couldn’t sleep. You’d slipped out of your bed and walked outside onto the balcony deciding that what you needed was a breath of fresh air.

“Y/N? Honey, why are you out here?” Sieun, your leader asked gently.

You replied “I cant sleep...nerves for tomorrow I guess.”

Sieun asked “do you want me to call Hyejoo? She’s on the floor below us right?”

You immediately replied, maybe a little too fast “no no...I mean- no thats okay. I don’t want to disturb her.”

Sieun wrapped and arm around your shoulder “it’s getting late and we have to be up early in the morning. Especially you, you can sleep in my bed hmm?”

You nodded then realized what she said “wait- how did you know-”

She replied “I know everything, come on now.”

The next day you’d been woken up and taken to do a few quick practices with Taeyong. You liked him, he was nice and constantly joked around to try and make you more comfortable. But you still couldn’t ignore the pit in the bottom of your stomach.

As your group did hair and makeup you scrolled through your phone, different friends of you and your members coming in to say hi. You couldn’t help but feel guilty when you saw your girlfriend come to find you.

She managed to pull you from the room to find privacy somewhere else. Almost immediately she could tell something was wrong by the way you couldn’t even look her in the eye.

“What’s wrong?” She reached down for your hand but you couldn’t even bring yourself to hold it.

“I-I’m sorry I’m just distracted. Nerves before the big performance you know?” You tried to play it off but it was no use.

Hyejoo saw right through you, “you’re not telling me something. I know you don’t get nervous before stages, you never do.”

Your breath caught in your throat but she pulled you into her arms “just relax. Whatever it is that’s bothering you will be over soon, I can tell. If you want to tell me you can, but if not you don’t have to. Your group is going to to great tonight. If you need me you know where to find me ok?”

You nodded before squeezing her tight, happy that she wasn’t pushing you to say whatever it was that was bothering you.

Hyejoo was right when she said your group performance would go well. It went even better than that, perfect even. Every single one of your members killed their parts and you did too.

Your group happened to be sitting across from Loona so when you got up for your special stage, Hyejoo noticed immediately. Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion and her facial expression alone asked “are you okay?”

You nodded and reassured her that you were fine before following your manager back to your dressing room.

Looking yourself over in the mirror you smiled softly when you saw how beautiful you looked. The outfit your stylist had picked out was...just enough to make you feel slightly sexy but still very comfortable.

You made your way to the stage and the lights dimmed. Everyone fell silent not knowing what was happening. When the lights came on and they saw it was you, they gasped in surprise. It was only when the music came on and you started to dance that the arena erupted into cheers once more. When Taeyong made his entrance you relaxed and danced more fluidly.

Throughout your performance you looked in Hyejoo’s general direction. It took everything in you not to laugh at how she smiled when you danced alone, but the second Taeyong touched you she glared at him. You’d definitely tease her with videos fans would take of her watching the performance.

The special stage was a success and both you and Taeyong enjoyed it. You weren’t able to see Hyejoo until after the awards show when you were back at your hotel.

Your group members had gone to see their other friends on different floors, while you stayed back in your room. Finally you’d been able to take a hot shower and remove your makeup, sitting around in your pajamas doing nothing.

A knock at the front door is what tore your eyes away from Mulan that played on the tv in front of you.

“Hmmm?” You hummed as you answered the door, expecting it to be Sieun or one of your other members.

“Can I come in?” Hyejoo mumbled softly.

You pulled her inside and went straight to your bed, wanting to just relax again.

“You did well today, I told you there was nothing to worry about.” Hyejoo told you whilst pulling your arm around her shoulder.

You asked “do you liked my special stage...?”

She nodded “of course. It was really good, I liked that you didn’t tell me, it was a good surprise...” Her voice trailed off towards the end.

You furrowed your eyebrows at her “now you’re the one not telling me something.”

She played with your fingers, refusing to move her eyes from the tv in front of you two. Without warning you clicked off the tv and waited for her to say what was on her mind.

You sat up against the headboard and pulled her closer so she was straddling your lap. Your hands found her waist easily, trailing your hands along her skin softly.

She was still not looking at you, her eyes staying on the blankets on the bed around you.

Gently, you asked “Joojoo...?”

It was the use of the familiar nickname that caught her attention. Her fingers toyed with a seam on your shirt and asked “do you still lo-like me?”

Your heart broke at the tone of her voice and this is when you remembered: even though Hyejoo was quite confident, she still had small insecurities that filled her mind. Despite her outwards appearance, she’s a huge softie. Simply a baby that needs love and reassurance.

“Why would you say that?” You tilted your head so your eyes found hers, but she quickly looked away.

You lifted her head with your thumb, “baby? Do you wanna talk about whatever it is that’s bothering you?”

She rolled off of you and said “it’s just- I don’t know I saw you with him and it just made me think. It’s stupid, i’m sorry...”

You knew that it was hard for her to even have these kind of talks with you, so you didn’t bother having her look you in the eye. It would only make her want to avoid the conversation even more.

“Baby don’t apologize. If something bothers you no matter how small, it’s important to me. Taeyong and I were strictly working. I do not have any feeling for him at all. I don’t want anyone but you. I just want you.” You spoke making sure that she knew you meant every word you said.

She peered up at you, your hand in hers as she played with your fingers “really?”

You told her “of course.”

Pulling her into your side you kissed the top of her head. She settled in your arms, her head resting on your chest.

Nudging her with your shoulder, you said “I love you Joo...so much.”

You could feel her smile against your chest, hiding her blushing face.

She responded “I- um...I mean...uh”

You cut her off, carding your hand through her hair, “It’s okay, you don’t have to say it baby. I know.”

Instantly you felt her body relax against yours as she curled up closer to you. You smiled softly when she pushed her face further into your neck, as you wrapped your arms around her tighter.

Even if she couldn’t tell you herself exactly how she felt, you knew what she wanted to say. All you needed was for her to know how you felt.

I have had 11 sleep studies done, because my breathing will just stop randomly, which luckily my brain wakes me. it doesn’t really affect my like severely.. I function normally. but shoooooot, if I got normal levels of sleep i’d be a force to be reckoned with.

Have you ever had food poisoning before? Describe the experience. Yes. It was AWFUL. vomiting for 2 days straight. it was so gross.

Honestly, are you jealous of someone right now? oh sure. I am envious of those with bangin’ bods. I’m envious of those who have great finances. I am envious of those who live life married to their love. I’m envious of people who see kile regularly. But there are difficulties that come with any of those situations.

Honestly, when was the last time you REALLY cried your heart out? not long ago. the whole crushing reality of losing kile just destroyed me. I’m OK now.

Do you need to return anyone’s phone call? ahahahahah. I just reject all calls.

Are you currently sad about anything? several things have recently been really saddening, but I’m ok. Ill get thru it.

@megatraven since your heart is tender from Astraeus,,I thought about Zeus all night lol. Basically, this is my petition to get a Zeus route after idk how many years AFK has been out for and its a mess lol. 

Zeus would TOTALLY take MC to the zoo. Not just for MC to look at the animals, but ALSO because when the lions come to him, he’d puff out his chest and be like “yeah. The tigers like me. I’m the king,” and act like a Chad. 

Whenever Zeus first fell for MC, there’s no way he accepted it. Like, he’s the King of Godsss, and he’s like, “Me? Love a human? Never.” And then he remembers his past and how,,um,,not adding up BUT ANYWAYS he doesn’t believe he loves her and pushes his feelings down. Like almost everyone in AFK does. And he doesn’t like it. At all. He doesn’t like it because he doesn’t know what to do. And like someone in one AFK route said that Zeus’s fear is weakness. So he sees this feeling as weakness because he’s not acting like himself ya know?? Quiet, spacing out, thinking of one human more often than not. THen, he catches himself once again doing things for MC. Maybe if she’s in the office and Zeus needs to see Alex for whatever reason, instead of calling them to come to him or to talk, he goes down there and goes through the office and sees MC. And he’s looking at his papers as he walks to Alexs office and everyone sits straight up when he comes in, including MC, and he likes the way her brown eyes focus on him,,

AND THEN, APHRODITE NOTICES IT AND BASICALLY MAKES FUN OF HIM EJIBKFWEJ. And it ends with Zeus and MC getting together in a bit of peace...until the Hera situation but hey no angst here...yet

MC one night stays in Zeus’s estate and she’s doing some work because Zeus is still in a long meeting (she wonders what they meet about but he wont tell her) and she starts getting sleepy and words start not making sense and shes like, “Hmm...I’ll rest my head for a moment,” and she rests her head against the headboard of the bed. And then,, Zeus comes home and he’s a little confused as to why its silent (I see MC as someone who would play some instrumental music bc I’m MC and I love orchestra music lol). He calls out to MC and gets no reply. He’s not too worried since he’s seen MC fight, he knows she can do many things. And when he gets to his room, he see’s a sight that takes his breath away and fills him with a bit of worry. He sees MC resting her head against the headboard and papers surrounding her and her computer, even some papers on the floor. He takes off his tie with a sigh and a soft laugh as he comes over to her and picks the papers off the floor and off the bed and puts them together. 

He picks up the computer (slowly, not wanting to wake up MC) and no matter how slowly he did it, MC woke up with a gasp and was confused until her eyes settled on Zeus. “Zeus? When did you get back?” He smiles as she rubs her eyes with a yawn. “I just got back. Why did you do all this?” His voice didn’t sound upset or angry, but the way his voice is made MC believe he was angry. “I’m sorry. I just wanted to get everything done tonight,” MC says, her voice in her rambling tone and Zeus realizes how he sounded. He puts everything down and comes back to her and gives her a kiss on her forehead (I want some sweet Zeus). “I didn’t mean it in a bad way. I was just,” he pauses, he looks anywhere but at her, “a little worried,” he gets out after a few moments. She smiles and kisses him on his lips. “I love you, Zeus,” she says with a smile and lovestruck face. He wears an identical one and says the same back with no hesitation. “I love you, too, MC.”

HMMM!!! SWEET ZEUS HITS THE SPOT!!! And thennn, two more ideas bc I need to get them out and don’t want to @ you too much lol. 

NOW! With the Zeus facetiming MC thing, imagine her being real sick one day. She didn’t want to go to Olympus and she just wanted to stay in bed and Alex said okay and theres no way Zeus wouldn’t let her stay home if she’s sick. He needs to make sure his human girlfriend is okay :))). However, he’s busy all day. He wants to visit her (even if she tells him no and that she doesn’t want to get him sick-) so bad and tries to but he’s always stopped by some new problem or something else to do. Zeus considers blowing it all off or just leaving for one day, but he knows he probably shouldn’t do that. Not just because MC would possibly feel guilty for him not doing something important because of her (and he doesn’t want her to feel worse) but because he knows he’d regret it the day later when he has a ton more things to do. So, he finishes them and he realizes how its like 7 PM and he’s finally done. He gets worried and decides to do something MC wanted to do with him whenever she’s not on Olympus with him. He got open his laptop and opened an app for facetiming and for once,,,

He feels anxious. He’s a little scared. He doesn’t know WHY, but this human makes him feel a little scared and worried in messing up. He hates it but loves it at the same time, so he calls her (pushing past his slight fear) and and she answers immediately with a smile. It’s a very bright smile even tho she’s sick and she looks a little distracted. “What are you doing?” MC looks up at him with the smile she uses when she’s trying to lie. “Nothing...”. Zeus looks at her and she knows he doesn’t believe it, which causes MC to sigh. “I’m doing a little bit of work,” she said as she showed a piece of paper signed by HERA. He was a little in shock but also worry.

No wonder she’d do this. She’s sick, running a fever, literally probably EXHAUSTED...yet she’s doing work. Zeus felt a little in awe at her when the shock went away. He was honestly considering going there and making her rest. “How long have you been doing work?” MC have him a reassuring look. “I only just started.” He’d probably be a little skeptical, but let it go and it went silent as he watched her write down a lot of things, mumble things she was reading, and look concentrated. And like,,just imagine him being quiet as she works and she asks him if he wants to go, but he always says “no. I like to be here,” and MC blushes really hard and tries to hide it, but she knows he can see it. aND HMM!! It’s just wholesome Meg. I love Zeus so much more than I should. And then she’d listen to his day (with the things he could tell her) and do work and he’s happy and she’s happy :))).

And my last idea was of MC being in Olympus and in Zeus’s estate and when they wake up, they give each other a kiss. They wish each other good morning, but when Zeus lays his forehead against hers, she feels really hot. And basically,,,shes sick and hes like “oh,” and doesn’t know what to do. And can’t think of too much bc my heart is too full but he’s a little worried for her literally all day, everyone wonders why Zeus is a little off his game today, and he’s just thinking of MC all day and how he cant wait to get back to her, so he can help her and protect her (even tho he can’t cuz its her own body-). But anyways,,take these nice little ideas of wholesome Zeus. It’s still so weird to imagine MC being with Zeus even if I love the idea XD. But I’m gonna go think of more Zeus and probably cry a little bit about other characters lol.

1. hoodies are good for when you dont have a bra on and they come with one BIG pocket and you dont need to worry about a shirt

oh shit really? uhh idk if i can do that but... i mean i gotta say siyeon right? her voice *is* dreamcatcher to me. her voice defines their sound more than anything else, even more than their rock concept. like for real, her voice is more integral to the feel of a dreamcatcher song than the guitars or sort of dark vibe. well, her voice brings the dark vibe a lot of the time, honestly. after that i’d say jiu cause her voice is the total opposite, she has the voice you would least associate with a concept like this, but that serves to add a lot of range to their sound too. her voice is so vividly bright and cheerful... so, dreamcatcher’s dark concepts are defined by siyeon for me, and dreamcatcher’s lively personality and energy onstage and offstage are defined by jiu for me. those first lines of “wake up”? iconic, full of energy, aaaaaa i love her. after that i guess i’d say yoohyeon cause she’s the lead vocalist lol. and then... about the same for the rest. i dont have an order from then on. they’re one of the groups where i think it’s the easiest to tell which member is singing just from audio alone, all seven of them have distinct vocal characters. the only two that i sometimes mix up (again, just based on audio only) are sua and gahyeon. or dami when she sings lol

what do you mean? like in terms of types of songs? uhhh.. idk.. most of the stuff i would say to this is stuff that i have no doubt will actually come. i want more bangers like piri and what, i want more edm stuff like sleepwalking and silent night, but yeah i’m sure we’ll get that. i guess what i’ll say is... more songs with involvement from the members. either in terms of composition or even just lyrics. though i like the composers and lyricists they have a lot! i’ll also say if nothing else, then a song choreographed at least in part by the members would be amazing. idk if it’ll happen for a title track, but if sua choreographs one of their edm bsides or something, and they perform it live on music shows, fuck...

What would you say to each member if you didn't have to worry about a time limit?

each member individually??? that’s too time consuming woirjgeoiwrgew but i do have individual answers for all of them probably lol. especially yoohyeon, i wanna talk to her about languages. i’ll just say to all of them how much i appreciate them and how they arent boxed in by typical idol conventions, but they also arent boxed in as outside them either. like, they’re not an anti-kpop-group, they’re not the complete antithesis, they like being a kpop group and they like other kpop groups so they would never want to be that. i like how much fun they have, i like how close they are, i like how they treat their fans, i think if the fandom did something really awful or went too far i like to think they would feel comfortable letting us know. hopefully, anyway. more than most other kpop groups i’m aware of, it’s easy to find them in videos and vlives and stuff not being totally in idol-mode and just being people, and friends with their members. im not criticizing other groups, cause if i was in their position, i think i would have a hard time not being “on” when on camera, even if it’s just a vlive. maybe it’s because they’ve known each other for a lot longer than a lot of other current-gen groups, and they’re older than many of their current-gen peers too. they feel very earnest, they’re not trying to hide. im sure there are aspects to them that we dont know about and will never know about, and i hope that’s the case cause i hope they’re able to maintain some privacy in this job, but it’s not hard to tell when someone is being genuine and when someone isn’t, and i get a very genuine vibe from them a lot of the time. i’m glad they are who they are, they’re really influential and inspirational to me.  i.... also might wanna mention their support for lgbt people, though i would want to talk to them about that in private because it’s personal for me and risky for them and i know how shitty that situation is, especially since i know that they care and would be a lot more vocal if they could be. and they’re one of the most vocal groups about it already! i just want to thank them.

i didnt bother with posting about ep 9 of ‘all for one’ but here we are on the last ep lol...

ok but ep 9 was literally just a big karaoke fest / fan meeting so nothing really stood out to me.... 

im starting this note halfway thru the ep after seeing huang zhibo’s line in pinlin’s group’s performance bc he did so well im so proud!!!!!!!! omgosh his stage presence has improved!! mainly this is all i wanted to say bc i actually really like zhibo even tho he didnt get much time to shine throughout this show :c ok even tho they had to color his hair for half his line, for the ending they didnt and just filtered the whole screen (thankfully) bc he really looks so nice here ahhhh 

omg he also got a random closeup later!!

omg i literally rewinded and replayed this one part so many times to watch zhibo.... i really like his dancing!!! 

ok but objectively pinlin’s group killed it, compared with the other 2 groups LOL

but ok i guess i should say something about what’s happened so far.... poor naicha’s group always gets stuck with doing a stage thats like 10x harder than all the other groups.... lol so is anyone actually surprised with the results from the first round?? is anyone gonna explain what happened to half of the members of he yifan’s group? lol.........

i think aj’s group did really well! their song really suited them and did feel very 潮 lol i think huadi KILLED IT and aj’s smile is always a highlight of their stages. i think ill always feel like i wish jojo had a bigger role in their perfs but it is what it is. i really liked their song

tuo xian mu ou.............. im crying........ their performance was so..... thoughtful. goodness even with a performance with minimal choreography, naicha designed every aspect of it with care. he always brings out the best qualities of each member through their performances and that is truly admirable. gao xin starting and ending the song, mu sen’s voice!! and guanguan’s, especially the line they sing together wow, zhang peng is beautiful and i need more of his voice too, zirui singing his heart out, long-ge’s dancing that brings people to tears, chen shun’s rap that cant be replicated, the little montage at the end, and naicha mentioned the formation at long-ge’s center part matching from their first performance and also their star levels matching from their original first grading -- bringing him back to being the only class leader with just 4 stars..... the fact that theyre all crying and hugging and selina and fei are crying im--- ahhhh gao xin and zheng peng’s friendship im truly ahhhhhh 

im sure they knew going into the last round that it would be highly unlikely that they would win... but i think they really showed us that they deserved to. 

ugh this ending song again feels biased toward new storm lol just like alllll the editing lol. i really like yanxiu’s voice! GAO XIN ZHANG PENG FRIENDSHIP AHHH omg yunlong holding a haoyu sign is the cutest thing!!

F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

I’ve been in the Merlin fandom since the show debuted 2008 and I literally just joined a discord server this week for it. Still active in that fandom after 10 years.

L: Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. 

Hmm this is tough. Okay wait I got one. Chris from Yuri on Ice. The character is deeper than he initially appears and he is a very good friend to those he cares for. While not my fave, I can understand why people like him and he seems to have a good sense of humor and general roll with the punches attitude that’s admirable.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

This is hard tooooo. imma try to pick different types of characters too.

1. Gintoki from Gintama. He has a tough life but he always maintains a sunny personality. He has a big heart and will give everything to help a stranger or the world on the whole (even though the world has rarely helped him in return) just because he believes in the best of everyone. Also he is HILARIOUS. And a really cool swordsman. he’s a bit of a dumbass too.

2. okay I gotta go back to Merlin and go with the main and title character, Merlin.  He’s played by my fave actor colin morgan (and this role is basically what made him my fave actor but i love his other roles too). merlin is a really strong character. he would do anything for the people he cares about but he isnt a push over about it. he kicks the butts of people who he cares for too whent hey are being dumb. lol. he is super powerful but very very humble. and he has a good sense of morals. 

3. Kim Jin Hyuk from Antique Bakery (korean movie). he IS an asshole. hes rude and can be straight up mean. but he is actually really complex and interesting. he was kidnapped as a kid by a guy who used to feed him a TON of cake. now he cant eat cake without throwing up. but he opens a cake shop anyway! because he wants to be the BEST cake shop and then catch the guy who kidnapped him! he suffers from night terrors about ti.. evn tho he cant REMEMBER what happened. his brain blocked it out. he only knows he hates cake and being touched by men. the fear of being touched by men leads him to being like... homophobic about the other main character who is gay but despite this they end up working together and then actually becoming quite close and jin hyuk like grows A LOT throughout the course of the film to be more comfortable around him and be more happy in his life in general and to learn to let people in. for only have 1 movie (not a tv show) to work with he’s a really interesting character with a lot of backstory and personality to work with. i dont think i’d ever be his friend in person... but i love to write from his pov lol.
