Goncharov romcom au because the drama is delicious but these poor souls need rest and let’s face it they are all a little silly 

Goncharov, Katya, and Andrey start out as childhood friends. People assume Goncharov and Katya are #Together and, due to pressure from multiple angles as well as misunderstandings, they get engaged. They both assume this is what people are supposed to do and, since everyone says they’re in love, they must be.

Except throughout the engagement, not only do Katya and Goncharov start to develop tension with each other (and not the romantic kind) but Goncharov’s friendship with Andrey become strained as well. It’s assumed that Andrey is a rival for Katya’s affection. 

Meanwhile, Katya begins a friendship with Sofia, who sympathizes with her distress at keeping up with others’ expectations and encourages her to parse out her own feelings instead of letting others tell her what they are.  

Anyway it turns out everyone’s queer and there’s a double wedding at the end and a running thing is that everyone asks Icepick Joe for advice but his advice always applies to the wrong person.
