Forever Together

Pairing: Argon x Reader

Summary: You and Argon share a quiet moment together while travelling over the Helcaraxë.

You felt like your skin was on fire as Argon's warm hands stroked over your exposed skin. It seemed so long ago since you had last felt his warmth.

It had been a long time. You had set out on the ice several weeks ago, but you had rarely rested, and when you had, Fingolfin had assigned your husband some sort of task. Of course you understood that this was important for your survival, but you still felt cold and abandoned sometimes.

Argon seemed to notice that. While you continued to fight your way through the snow during the day, Argon, who always walked in front next to his father, fell further back to take your hand for a moment. His fingers clasped yours and the ice no longer seemed so cold to you.

After a while, Fingolfin had decided that you would have to take a longer rest, as all of you were getting slower and slower due to your exhaustion, making you even more vulnerable on the open road than you already were.

So you put up some tents to protect you from the cold and you tried to get some sleep.

When you fell asleep you were freezing, but when you woke up you could smell Argon's familiar scent and feel his hands gently rubbing every bit of skin they could find to keep you warm.

You kept your eyes closed for a moment. You had missed his gentle touch so much.

The warm days in Valinor when you had picnicked or gone swimming in the lake together seemed centuries ago.

"I know you are awake," he whispered and kissed you gently on the forehead. You could hear the smile in his voice. He pulled his hands away and let himself slide under the covers behind you.

You whimpered softly and snuggled back against Argon. "Please do not stop."

He laughed softly. "Do not worry, my love, I will prevent you from freezing to death." He wrapped his strong arms around you and turned you round so that the tips of your noses were touching.

His warm breath brushed over your face and drove away any feeling of cold. "Do not worry, Melda." Argon whispered and kissed you softly. His hands gently stroked down your body, from your cheeks to your hips, where he pulled you even tighter against him. "Tonight I am all yours."

He winked.

"Arakáno!Turukáno, Elenwë and Itarillë are right in the tent next to us. So we won't be doing anything like that." you said, but you had to smile.

When Argon saw your smile, he let out a pleasant sigh. One of his hands travelled back up to your face and gently stroked your lips to trace your smile.

Then he leant forward and kissed you again. At first his lips brushed only lightly over yours, but soon his kisses became firmer and more passionate. He pushed himself off the ground a little and carefully rolled onto you.

Your hands stroked through his hair and soon found their way to his cheeks.

You let out a surprised noise. "Arakáno?" You broke away from him. "Oh, why are you crying."

His cheeks were full of tears.

Argon's fingers gently stroked your cheek as he looked down at you.

"Because you are only here because of me. You deserve better than a tiny tent in the cold, wet snow. I am so sorry that I cannot give you more."

"Oh Arakáno." You gently took his face into your hands and began to brush away his tears with your thumbs. "Do not blame yourself."

"But it is true." His other hand found its way to your hair and stroked softly over it.

"Yes," you said softly, "I am here because of you. I am here because I love you anb because I cannot bear to live apart from you. I would make that decision again if it meant having you by my side. Because Valinor would be colder than the Helcaraxë without you, Arakáno."

He looked at you from his gentle eyes as more tears ran down his cheeks. "Thank you," Argon finally said, "Thank you for being by my side."

"Let us always stay together, no matter where we go," you said softly, wrapping your arms around him.

Argon lowered his head onto your chest, a position you don't normally lie in as he was so huge, while you gently stroked his hair.

"It will be all right, my dearest Arakáno."

SFW Alphabet - Aredhel

Pairing: Aredhel x fem!reader

Warnings: mentions of past abuse and Eöl

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Aredhel is slow when it comes to affections. At least when it comes to romantic affection. If it's a pat on the shoulder or an arm around your shoulder, she's relatively quick about it.

Gentle and tender touches are slow because of her bad experiences in this direction. But if she feels safe with you, then she loves being close to you.

When you are hunting together and your feet are sore from all the running, she likes to pick you up and carry you.

Sometimes you don't expect anything and then all of a sudden she hugs you and tells you how happy she is to have you and that she just couldn't hold herself back when she saw you standing there all alone.

B = Best Friend (How would they be like as an best friend?)

She would be a really good best friend, but in the beginning she would be more of a person you can joke around with. She would only have in-depth conversations once she knows you better and knows that she can trust you. However, as she has a relatively good knowledge of people by now, this shouldn't take too long.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

As soon as Aredhel trusts you enough, she loves to cuddle. She has only ever known the harsher side of a relationship and is therefore happy to learn that with you it is actually different. There is nothing more beautiful for her than lying in your arms under the open sky and looking at the stars. She just really likes this softer side of love.

D = Domenstic (Would they want to settle down?)

She is a person who cannot stay in one place ALL of the time. However, she would like to stay close to her family as she has been away from them long enough, so you would have a dwelling close to her family to stay in. Nevertheless, you would sometimes travel together for several weeks to see more of Valinor.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

She would be very honest and upfront about this, but would be careful not to hurt your feelings too much.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quickly would they want to get married?)

Aredhel wouldn't get into a relationship if she wasn't serious about it, which is why she's sure she loves you and you'll stay together for a long time if you've been together for a while. So there would be no one else for her.

As for getting married, she would be rather slow because she has had some bad experiences with that and would therefore be very cautious, even if she trusted you.

You would probably have to wait until she is ready and asks you to marry her herself.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both emotionally and physically?)

Aredhel would be very gentle. Especially emotionally, as she wouldn't want to hurt you under any circumstances, as she knows what that feels like.

Her touches would always be gentle at first, and with time would get a little bolder but she would always be careful not to hurt you.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

As soon as she is comfortable with you, she hugs you almost constantly, at least thrice a day. Her hugs are warm and make you feel safe.

She also likes it when you hug her or ask her for a hug, as it makes her feel taken care of and shows her that you love her.

I = I love you (How fast would they say the L-Word?)

With Aredhel, it would take quite a while before she would be ready to say "I love you." because it's something that feels very final to her, and she'd rather take things slowly. This doesn't mean that she doesn't like you, but that she's not ready to tell you. Instead, she brings you things (stones, flowers...) from hunting trips to show you that she loves you without being able to say it out loud.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

Aredhel wouldn't be very jealous. She would only enter into a romantic relationship with someone if she really trusted that person, so she trusts you.

If it did come to that, she would talk to you about it instead of doing anything about it behind your back.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Aredhel's kisses are usually gentle, but can quickly become passionate and deep once you reach that part of your relationship.

She likes it when you go all over her body with warm and gentle kisses as she appreciates soft touches. She also thinks it's nice to know that you like her body a lot.

She loves kissing your cheeks because it's quick and she can tell you how much she likes you with that quick little touch. (If you blush, even better)

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

She is good with children, after all she raised her own son. If you look after relatives' children, she will tell them about adventures you have had on your travels or show them special finds from the forest.

M = Mornings (How are mornings spend with them?)

Aredhel usually gets up early, but doesn't get out of bed without giving you a kiss on the forehead, cheek or bare shoulder.

If she does stay in bed longer, she likes it very much if you simply lie next to each other in the warmth of the other's body and look lovingly into one another's eyes while you stroke each your hair and arms and exchange a few gentle kisses.

N = Night (How are nights spend with them?)

In the evening, Aredhel likes to cuddle until you fall asleep. However, she prefers it when she is the big spoon or lying on top of you, because then she doesn't feel cramped or caged in, which can sometimes lead to unpleasant memories.

She once in a while has nightmares, but wakes up from them very quietly, which is why you don't usually wake up from them. It takes her a while to get comfortable enough to wake you up, but when she does, she will seek you out after a nightmare. She usually lays her head on your lap while you massage her scalp. Then she either talks about her nightmare while you listen attentively, or she asks you to tell a joke or sing a song to distract her.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Only later in your relationship would Aredhel open up to you. There are a few little things you already know beforehand. For example, that she has already been married once, because it is important to her that you get to know her son and that you understand each other before you can dive deeper into your relationship. However, you don't know all the circumstances and it's still a bit difficult for Aredhel to talk about everything.

But once she has started, it is as if a great weight has been lifted from her, especially when she realises that you take her worries and feelings seriously and don't see her in a different light because of her previous experiences. So she quickly starts to reveal more about herself.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Because she is a good hunter and has raised a child, her patience is practically unlimited.

However, if someone doesn't take her or your feelings seriously, a few angry words may well leave her mouth. However, she will say them calmly and threateningly rather than loudly.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

She wouldn't remember every little detail, but if something was important to you, she would try to remember it.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

She loves the little moments like the first time you went hunting together in the forest and she had to teach you all sorts of things.

Also when she asked you to marry her or when you and Maeglin threw her a small surprise party with a cute cake that looked nice but was not necessarily edible, because you talked so much that you forgot to add sugar, are moments she will never forget.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Aredhel likes to pretend she's protecting you, but she once confessed to you that she also likes it when you protect her. Even if it's just from little things. When you argue with someone on her behalf, it makes Aredhel feel wonderful.

But she also protects you. And if you sren't already capable to do it yet, she'll be happy to teach you how to use a bow and arrow so that you can protect yourself in a fight too.

T = Try (How much efford would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Aredhel pretends to forget anniversaries, only to surprise you at the last minute with a small gift and a loving kiss.

She is good with everyday tasks but you have decided to divide them fairly among yourselves.

Dates tend to be simple and spontaneous, but no less romantic.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habit of them?)

Sometimes when something bothers Aredhel about your relationship, she doesn't say it, she just swallows it because she's afraid you'll leave her at the first sign that she's too complicated. It took a while, and some help from Turgon, Fingolfin and Anairë, for you to be able to recognise when she was feeling this way.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

If you're going to a feast or celebration, she'll be interested in looking nice, but most of the time she doesn't care.

She usually wears her hair simple and practical and there are often mud or grass stains on her clothes.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Since Aredhel doesn't like the idea of being so dependent on a person that you can no longer live without them, she would be able to manage without you. However, she doesn't like to think about it because she loves having you in her life and wouldn't trade you for anything.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them?)

Aredhel likes to sing quietly to herself when she is tidying up or going for a walk. She always has to be so quiet when hunting and therefore likes to fill her everyday life with a little more noise.

It takes her a while to do this in front of you though, as this is a very personal part of herself and Eöl didn't particularly liked it when she did this.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

She doesn't like it when you lie to her, (unless it's for a good reason, like when you lie to her about a surprise for her) because then she feels a little less like she can trust you and trust is important to Aredhel.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Usually snuggles up to you while you sleep and buries her face in your hair, your shoulder or your chest.

When you once asked her about this, she said that it was probably because your scent makes her feel safe.

SFW Alphabet - Eärendil

Pairing: Eärendil x reader

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Eärendil is very affectionate, but this is also due to the fact that he is often out at sea and doesn't see you that often. When he returns, he hugs you so tightly that you almost lose your breath and he doesn't want to let you go for a very long time.

If you come with him on his sea trips, he is still very affectionate. He likes to wrap his arms around you as you look out over the water and bury his face in your hair.

B = Best Friend (How would they be like as an best friend?)

He would be a really good friend. He would bring you beautiful shells from his travels and tell you interesting stories.

Would always have an open ear for all your worries.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Loves to cuddle. Especially on cold evenings and at the beach. Likes to feel you pressed against his chest or to feel your weight on him.

D = Domenstic (Would they want to settle down?)

Would like to have a nice house to live in with you, but would often sail to sea. But if you asked him to stay at home more often, he would do so and not go quite so often anymore. But you wouldn't be able to get him away from seafaring completely, after all, his love of the sea is already in his name and his quest is not yet over.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Eärendil would be very nice and tell you gently. But then he would avoid you for several weeks and you wouldn't see anything more of him for a while, unless you went looking for him to talk everything out.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quickly would they want to get married?)

If he was sure that he loved you, he would marry you on the spot. He has realised through various events in his life how quickly a time of peace or even just a brief moment can be over, and doesn't want to waste any time when it comes to you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both emotionally and physically?)

Is emotionally very gentle and always pays attention to your reactions to certain things. If something makes you uncomfortable, he is very careful not to repeat it, no matter what. If you like something he does, he will try to do something similar in the future.

His touches are gentle but firm. He wants to express how much you mean to him and how afraid he is of losing you, because he has already lost so much. His hands are a little rough from his work, but they always feel gentle and careful on your skin.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Like his touch, his hugs are firm and tight most of the time and he holds you as close as possible.

His favourite time to hug you is after he has returned from long journeys or when you both are lying exhausted in bed at night. However, Eärendil doesn't mind hugging you in public and in front of others, especially if you are cold and a hug could help you feel warm again.

I = I love you (How fast would they say the L-Word?)

Relatively fast. If he is sure that he really likes you, then he won't waste any time.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

Trusts you completely, and therefore would most likely not get jealous.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Eärendil really likes it when you kiss his aching fingers after work, as he always feels better straight away.

Likes to kiss you on the lips, as this is the best way for him to convey his feelings for you in a kiss.

His kisses are a little rough, but can become very gentle when he is feeling very emotional (which happens A LOT).

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's great with children. They take one look at him and love him.

Would love to have a few himself if you'd like to.

Every morning you wake up together, Eärendil snuggles up against your back or curls up in your arms. He likes to feel your warmth before getting up, as it gives him strength for the rest of the day.

Eärendil sleeps best when you are lying on top of him and he can feel that you are there. But he also likes it when you lie next to each other and your legs are entwined while he plays with your hair until you fall asleep.

Would always tell you a little bit of what happend.

Would probably happen after he has confessed his love to you, so that you get to know every part of him.

If you want to open up to him, he would listen to you carefully, since you do the same with him, and do everything he can to make you understand how much it means to him that you decided to open up.

As long as you don't get hurt, everythings good. However, if that happens, he will be angry, not necessarily with you but with whoever is responsible.

However, you can calm him down again with just a few words.

Would remember almost every detail and then surprise you with it. He just loves to see your happy and surprised face.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time you went for a walk on the beach with him. You two ended up lying in the sand laughing and kissing passionately. It was shortly after he asked you if he could court you. Later you had sand just everywhere, in your hair, in your clothes, and then, to get rid of the sand, you went swimming together for the first time. This moment marked a big step in your relationship, which is why Eärendil cherishes it so much.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Eärendil knows that you are very good at protecting yourself, but still likes to let others know that they will have to deal with him if they were to hurt you.

T = Try (How much efford would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He loves to give you presents. They are usually 'simple' and are things brought from his trip or flowers whose blossoms he found so beautiful that he simply has to weave them into your hair.

He doesn't like dates that are too extravagant, but rather something spontaneous. Because in his opinion, spontaneity can create the best moments.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habit of them?)

Never wakes you up after he has nightmares, but tries to calm himself down (which doesn't work so well). The next morning he is always tired and gets scared at every noise.

It took him a while to finally tell you that he sometimes still dreamt about the fall of Gondolin, but when he did, you made him promise to wake you up next time and talk to you about it.

Eärendil does his best, but sometimes he just can't bring himself to interrupt your peaceful and cute sleep with his problems.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He's not really interested in his looks (but he's still very beautiful. I mean, he's Idril's son, with genes like that he can only be pretty). Often forgets to comb his hair for several days and usually has some dirt on his face. His clothes are also rather practical and he wears jewellery less often than others. But you love your Eärendil the way he is, and you couldn't imagine him dressed up like that, because it just wouldn't really suit him.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes, he would. Eärendil is someone who loves with all his heart, and would be totally distraught if you were to be torn from his side.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them?)

You gave Eärendil a selfmade hair clip at one of your first meetings. And even though he doesn't wear it often for fear of it breaking or getting lost, he always carries it with him so that he has a piece of you with him wherever he goes.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

If you would try to force him to wear 'nicer' clothes or show him in some way that you want to change him. Eärendil is a free spirit and therefore does not like to be restricted. It's different if you ask him to, but don't do it without talking to him and finding out how he feels about it first.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Eärendil sleeps much more peacefully when he can feel you or your warmth than he does without.
