~| Erwin Smith x Reader |~
WARNING: mild spice scene at the end.
“A gathering in Mitras?” Levi asked as he grabbed his tea cup. “No chance.”
“When you’re from a place like the Underground, you don’t really get opportunities like this.” Y/N said. “It’s still a no though, Erwin.”
“There’ll be a great impact if both of you arrive. Humanity’s Strongest Soldiers arriving at a fancy party of higher ups will be good for the Survey Corps.” Erwin explained.
“It’s a fancy gathering, we have no interest in these things.” Levi muttered as he looked at his twin sister.
”Most of its going to be those Unicorn Pricks and that one Drunk Garrison guy.” Y/N said. “Unless we’ve been invited we’re not going.”
Just as Y/N said that, Erwin pulled out a letter from his right pocket and opened it up. Clearing his throat he began to read out a section of the fancy handwriting on the paper.
“You are allowed to bring one guest with you, whether it be a friend, partner or an acquaintance.” Erwin quoted before looking at the duo.
”That means only one of us is going.” Y/N said before leaning against the wall behind her.
”Hange also received an invitation, not so sure why..” Erwin explained, mumbling the last bit. “Hange already decided to take one of you so that all four of us can come.”
”Can’t Mike go with you?” Levi asked as he sipped on his tea.
”He’s busy with paperwork and so is Nanaba, and Gelgar, along with all of the other Captains…” Erwin mumbled. Suddenly Hange bursted into the room with the same letter in her hands.
”GOOD AFTERNOON! Hello Erwin, Y/N and Levi!” Hange happily said as she waved the letter in her hands.
”Good afternoon Hange.” Erwin formally greeted whereas the two Ackerman siblings stayed sat down, silently.
”Has Erwin told you about the invitation?” Hange asked happily.
”Yes, he has Hange.” Y/N answered causing Hange to grin mischievously. “Now we’ll just have to choose partners, but honestly I don’t care who I’ll end up with.”
”I’ll go with Levi!” Hange happily said as she turned towards him. “Hey Levi did you know-“
”No. Shut up.” Levi quickly said, shutting Hange from blabbering.
”That means you and me Y/N.” Erwin said. “It’ll be a party in Mitras so we’ll have to be formal. The party will take place next week on Sunday, a carriage will arrive at roughly 5 o’clock so we should arrive in half an hour. Any questions?”
”Just one. How did Hange get an invitation but Humanity’s Strongest Soldiers didn’t?” Y/N asked.
”I.. do not know that.” Erwin said as the trio looked at Hange, awaiting for an answer.
”Why’re you looking at me for?! I didn’t think I’d get invited to Mitras either, okay?!” Hange exclaimed.
As the week went by, eventually the time came for when the four higher ups would travel together for the party. Erwin wore a dark royal blue suit with a red tie. Levi wore his iconic black suit and stood beside Erwin in his office.
”Do you know when Y/N or Hange will be coming.?” Erwin asked as he checked the time awkwardly.
”No.” Levi bluntly said.
Suddenly the door opened and revealed the two scouts, dressed in their formal attire. Hange had worn a suit as well, claiming the suit looked to fabulous and had to be shown off. Y/N wore a black dress which flowed nicely as she walked towards them. (You can decide what it looks like)
”I-is everyone ready?” Erwin said as he quickly looked away from Y/N.
”Let’s get going already.” Levi said as he got up and saw the fancy carriage outside of the building. “The carriage is here too.”
Quickly rushing out of the building and into the carriage, they sat down and set off to Mitras. The journey was long so Erwin began to talk with Levi about upcoming expeditions whilst Hange mentioned her Titan experiments and theories to Y/N. Soon, the carriage arrived in Wall Sina, right in front of the very building in which the grand hall was located.
Stepping out the carriages, Erwin helped Y/N out like the gentleman he was before offering his arm for her to hold onto, in which she accepted.
”You look quite stunning today.” Erwin whispered in her ear as they walked slowly.
”Thanks you, you look rather… nice.” Y/N mumbled as she walked beside him. Walking into the hall, to the side was a large table in which expensive food was laid out along with sweet dishes and other grand things. There were multiple round tables which could fit up to 8 people and in the middle of the hall was nothing for it was space for guests to dance with one another, whilst a band played music in the corner of the hall.
”When you said it was fancy.. I didn’t expect this Erwin.” Y/N confessed as her hands fell to her sides.
”This is Wall Sina I guess. Even I didn’t expect it to be this luxurious.” Erwin said as he looked around before meeting eyes with Nile.
”Oh great, the thin moustache bastard..” Levi muttered under his breath.
”You’ve met him before?” Hange asked quietly for once. “You must know how much of a pain he is then.”
“I have but Y/N hasn’t, he’s a real dick alright.” Levi mumbled before turning away. “Shit, he’s coming towards us.”
”Erwin, good to see you.” Nile said as he reached out to shake Erwin’s hands. “Glad you could make it.”
”Happy to be here, Nile.” Erwin replied as he shook his hand. “Who’d you bring with you?”
”Oh just a cadet from the Military.. I see Captain Levi is with you.” Nile said as he frowned at Levi glaring at him.
”Actually he’s Hanges partner for tonight. Tonight I brought along Y/N, she’s Levi’s sister.” Erwin said as he placed an arm on he back.
”Good Afternoon.” Y/N said as she looked towards Nile and reached out to shake his hand. Blush evidently spread across Nile’s face once he saw Y/N but quickly took her hand and kissed the knuckles of her soft hands. Disgusted, Y/N slowly pulled her hand back and wiped it against the back of her dress. Erwin’s calmer look was much more annoyed as he stared at Nile, wondering what he was doing.
”We haven’t met before as it seems.” Nile said as he smiled at Y/N. “It’s nice to meet you Y/N. If you hadn’t heard already, I’m the Commander of the Military Police.”
”Nice to meet you too, we’ll see you later I suppose.” Y/N said as she looked at Erwin who simply smiled at her and looked towards Nile.
”We better take our seat now, shall we?” Erwin asked before Nile interrupted.
”Why don’t you sit with us? It’s best if there’s no empty seats at a table instead of there being multiple.” Nile said as he pointed to his table.
”Fine.” Erwin replied, still keeping his composure. The four walked towards the table and sat in the seats. Somehow, Nile ended up next to Y/N whilst Erwin stayed on her other side.
”Y/N, let’s swap places.” Levi said as he tried helping her out of the situation.
It’s fine like this.” Erwin and Nile both said at the same time, causing them to look at each other. After a long speech, made by Darius Zachary, everyone began to chatter amongst themselves. Nile’s partner soon arrived, a disgusting smell lingering on him.
”Where'd you go?” Nile asked
”I went for a smoke. Besides, I only missed out on some boring old speech.” He said before sitting down beside Nile. “Who are these folks?”
”These are members of the Survey Corps. You remember Captain Levi and Commander Erwin, don’t you?” Nile asked. “This is Felix, he’s my partner for tonight.”
”Y-yeah yeah. Nice to see you all again..” Felix muttered as he looked away from Levi’s death stare and towards Y/N. “I haven’t seen you before. Who might a dazzling lady like you be?”
”Y/N Ackerman.” Y/N bluntly said, not reaching out to shake his hand. Watching Felix, he leaned back on his chair and smirked towards her before sipping on his wine. Much to his dismay, Erwin stared at the Military Police member before sipping on his water.
“Oi Felix, don’t you think it’s early to be drinking?” Nile asked quietly. “You already had a cigarette.”
”Relax, just trying to impress the lady.” Felix whispered into Miles ear before getting up along with everyone else and heading towards the large tables of food. Grabbing a plate, Y/N placed small portions of recognisable food and sat back down at the table. Looking up, Nile had sat in his seat whilst Felix had rushed to Erwin’s seat, moving it closer to Y/N.
”Say, Y/N-“ Felix began to say.
”That’s Erwin’s seat, so could you please move off it. Also you reek of cigarettes and onions.” Y/N said as Erwin arrived to the table.
”H-huh..?” Felix mumbled before getting up and moving back to his seat and slumping in his chair. Erwin quickly sat down beside Y/N, not caring to adjust his chair back to its regular position whilst Levi and Hange sat down together.
”So Y/N, why’d you choose the Survey Corps?” Nile asked as he cut his steak and chewed it down.
”I’m not so sure, but if I had to guess it was probably because it was my only option and also because Levi chose it too.” Y/N answered as she picked up her glass of water.
”Y’know, the Military Police has a few spaces for talented soldiers like you.” Nile replied as he smiled towards Y/N.
”Thank you for the offer but I kindly decline.” Y/N quickly said.
”Both of Humanity’s Strongest Soldiers are apart of Survey Corps which means a lot to us, Nile.” Erwin said as he smiled at him.
”I suppose so, still, the offer still stands. If you do end up moving branches, you could work beside me and some of the fellow Captains-“ Nile began to say.
”Hey Nile, how’s Marie?” Erwin interrupted.
”Marie.? She’s alright I suppose.” Nile answered. “Why’d you ask now?”
“She was one of my old acquaintances, besides am I not meant to ask about one’s wife’s condition?” Erwin asked.
”You’re married?” Y/N asked as she looked at Nile’s hand to see a silver ring. “Good for you.”
“For how long if you don’t mind me asking? Five, six years now if I had to guess.” Erwin said.
”R-right.” Nile mumbled embarrassed.
”And how’s your daughter? Heard she’s turning four soon.” Erwin admitted. “If we can, Y/N and I will drop by and see you all. You know how Hange and Levi can be so it’ll be us two.”
”N-no no it’s alright.” Nile said as he sipped on his wine. “You don’t have to visit, you must be uhm busy..”
”Erwin, what’re you doing?” Y/N whispered into his ear as she glanced back at Nile, who was looking away from them.
”Excuse us, just for one moment.” Erwin requested before grabbing ahold of Y/N’s hand and dragging her out of the hall.
”Erwin. Erwin. Erwin! What are you doing?” Y/N asked as Erwin ignored her and dragged her back to the carriage, making sure no one was around.
“Get in, we’re leaving. I’ll tell Hange to come with Levi whilst I pardon Darius for our sudden leave.” Erwin explained.
”Why are we leaving so early though? This was your idea and your suddenly switching up.” Y/N said as she stared at him and crossed her arms.
“You feel uncomfortable don’t you?” Erwin mumbled as he grabbed her chin and tilted it up. “I can tell.”
”Let’s just get going then..” Y/N muttered as she quickly rushed into the carriage. Soon, the trio arrived and sat in the carriage, riding off to the Survey Corps Headquarters. Upon arriving there, Y/N and Levi walked down the hallway together, trying not to wake up any soldiers.
”Y’know, if it wasn’t a special event that Erwin wanted to attend, I would’ve left right after making sure Nile got a taste of those filthy hands of his.” Levi whispered.
”He was revolting.” Y/N simply said before getting stopped by Erwin.
“I need to discuss something with you Y/N.” Erwin said as he placed a hand on her shoulder. Letting Levi walk off, Y/N walked beside Erwin towards his office, Erwin’s hand sliding down to her lower back.
.
.
.
“Do you know how jealous I was huh?” Erwin panted as he rested his nose in Y/N’s neck.
”E-Erwin. I didn’t-“ Y/N began to say.
”Say it again. Say my name again Y/N.” Erwin demanded as his nose moved away from her neck, and his lips were attached instead. “That’s an order.”
”Erwin.” Y/N gasped. Erwin’s hand kept Y/N’s thighs tightly wrapped around his waist as he kept her against the wall in his office.
”Who would’ve thought that Humanity’s Strongest Soldier would be so submissive, hm? Acting all tough but when daddy kisses you a dozen times, you get all weak.” Erwin mumbled before sucking on Y/N’s neck.
”I’m sorry Erwin. I really am.!” Y/N mumbled as she looked at him.
”Let’s get to bed, shall we?” Erwin asked.

listen! MARco, MARcel, MARlowe, MARley: do they only point to war from the god mars (ares), as in martial? three boys dead in marley's war, and only marcel knew it. the seven visible planets have their metals in medieval alchemy: ♂ is iron, the stuff of weapons and armor, spear and shield, forged in fire into steel.
or, is it also the sea: marinus, where we get marine, maritime, and ultramarine, the precious pigment from ground lapis lazuli named not for its deep blue color, but for coming to europe from beyond the sea (the middle east). armin is even an acronym for the old french marin.
add nile dok's widow, MARie, ymir fritz's daughter and wall MARia: marley attacked maria, eren of maria attacked marley. maryam, mother of god. hildegard von bingen called her stella maris, sea star. or the scout squad leader who died in shiganshina, MARlene, whose name i chuckled at as if yams just googled famous germans, but i want to give him credit for this repetition. it's too beautiful and double edged.

🎈Happy Birthday 🎈
To our daddies: Daddy Mikey and Daddy Dok.
Mike, our humanities second strongest, a sad sacrifice for the greater good, often forgotten but so significant.
Nile, loving husband and father, the MP commander who tried to protect who he could protect, but ultimately failed.
Both will be loved. 🥲❤️

nile is so underrated in eruri fandom usually he's either dumb or a corrupt asshole or worse his wife cheats on him with his best friend but honestly it's funnier and better when you think about his frustration this man probably goes back to home after talking to erwin every time like "helll naaaah now he's talking about marrying that lil criminal he picked up from the underground he's insane omfg i cant" and marie is probably chill "ahhh I'm so happy for erwin I think a serious relationship will be good for him" and nile is frustrated becaue no one understands him, he heard horror stories about how that tiny man can kill a person 3 times his size only using two fingers!!
Oh damn, I'm sorry Anon, you've come to the wrong place if you're looking for Nile support. It's been common knowledge in the fandom for years that I can't stand Nile, and my friends just love to tease me about him 😅 I would never admit this in public, but I confess I did develop a grudging admiration for him at the bitter end. He deserved a better death, and he died bravely, so I'll give him that.
I'm afraid I'm guilty of writing Nile as both dumb and a corrupt asshole, but I don't think I've ever come across an Eruri fic where Marie cheats with Erwin while she's married to Nile. Usually it's the other way around; Marie cheats with Nile while she's still in a relationship with Erwin. This is often the catalyst for her relationship with Erwin to break up and for her to marry Nile.
I do rather like the idea of Nile holding a (very much unrequited) torch for Erwin and being jealous as hell of Levi. I mean, it's kinda canon after all...

Happy early birthday to these underrated duo, Miche and Nile 🎉🎊🎂
11/1
For Nile, I didn't like him in the first season but in the final season, he changed my mind by becoming my favorite character.
And for Miche, I feel like he was a wasted potential (same goes to Nile) since he was known as humanity's second strongest after Levi. Not only does he deserve to live longer but also see more of him in action.

It’s taking longer and longer to finish a drawing nowadays ;;v;;
The lineart was old, circa 2019. I wasn’t sure about posting it at first since it’s not really a famous pairing, and after accidentally finding some diss in one of my short fanfics of this couple, I kinda held back.
But, might as well, than nothing.

emotional thinking about warrior candidates: the first adults to know better, albeit in retrospect but much earlier than their parents, are soldiers of both marley and paradis: magath, the liberio gatekeepers, sasha and jean ("who will we be if we throw kids off an airship"), mikasa and armin, and the pinnacle for me? nile dok. at first gabi is insulted her "comrades" (grown! ass! men!) suddenly don't see her as a capable soldier; then on paradis she learns so painfully and quickly what war really means, and all but begs armin and mikasa to extrajudicially kill her as if she is an adult fully cognizant of her actions, but they absolutely will not. magath and shadis' kinda fruity death is preceded by nile telling falco "this is no place for children," when he himself entered the cadets at falco's age!! ugh!!!!!!! i bet you anything magath wanted to leave colt behind in marley, it doesn't matter he's tall, he is a child too

Hi everyone! I'm ara/BeemBeem,
In here to share my love for characters that are neglected by their Fandoms. Let me know if you want me to write for a certain character! (I am a beginner writer so please don't be too hard on me(*´∀`) )
I'll also be sharing some of my headcanons too!
Shows I write for!
Attack on titan
My hero academia
Kabaneri of the iron fortress
Chainsaw man (anime only right now)
(If you request a character from a show that isn't on the list I can't guarantee it'll be accurate(´- `*) )
Games I write for!
The legend of Zelda breath of the wild
Scarlet hollow
Things I won't write
Anything that involves children in a way other than platonic (things like aot is fine as long as you state that you want aged up characters)
Gore (unless it's something really tame like a simple injury)
Shigaraki (unless it's an au where he's moisturized)
Example of an acceptable request " (insert character) x platonic/romantic reader (smut, fluff, angst, angst and fluff) doing insert (scenario here)
As long as it's reasonable I'll try my best to write it!
(I write on my phone so please forgive any spelling mistakes)

I get this A LOT from work since I just turned 30 but was already working for the past decade in one hospital as a nurse so people assume I'm older than I am coz I kinda now a lot of people now and most of the residents are now back as subspec consultants which took them roughly 4yrs to study for. Anyways, plot where the younger sqyads are in disbelief that the older vets aren't that much older than them.
Hange oh so loves a good bit of gossip.
A salacious affair, a dark twisted secret, what is there not to love? Everyone they know - from green recruits to respected, seasoned officers - enjoy their gossip, and anyone who says otherwise is either extremely deep in denial or a disgraceful liar.
Unfortunately, Hange themself does not possess the right skills to successfully spread a rumor. Their rumors, or so they have been told, are either so close to the actual truth that they seem boring, or so outlandish and extravagant that no one can believe in them. But that small fault doesn't fase or stop Hange, does not deprive them of their little hobby. On the contrary, it only spurs their enthusiasm for it.
The capital, of course, is the best place for spreading and trading gossips. Commander Pixis is always eager to share some, as are most members of his regiment. Erwin, as though he acts all high and mighty, is as just susceptible to this addiction. He might not be a big fan of sharing gossips, but he'll happily listen to anything that reaches him, that Hange knows first-hand. And while Commander Nile Dawk looks like the last person who would indulge in such frivolous activity, if one would happen upon him while he's inebriated after an official event or just an extremely tiring day, they'd be surprised to find out just how much he knows about secret lives of his colleagues and members of the government. That Hange too knows for sure. Most of the rumors that circulate in the capital they learnt from none other that Nile Dawk. The man might act like boredom personified, but he has his fair share of redeeming qualities. He was Erwin's best friend for so many years for a reason, after all.
The only one, who may know more about high-ranking officers and government officials than him, is Commander-in-Chief, Darius Zackley, but Hange has to admit - they don't really like the idea of breaching that particular subject with him. Most gossip he might be willing to share are either rumors he had intentionally spread to cast a shadow on someone, or cold hard facts that he acquired by spying, torturing, or both. That kind of gossip is not fun at all.
Luckily, the capital and those who live in it, have no shortage of more light-heartened, easier to stomach rumors. Whispers about secret heirs, of debauchery and other forms of decadence intrigue Hange, captivate them. It's not as fascinating as learning more about the world they live in or uncovering the many mysteries that surround their land, but it's an easy way to escape from hardships and tragedies that fill up the good chunk of their life, put a smile on their face and get a good-heartened chuckle out of them even during the most darkest of days.
Of course, the gossip that flows around Survey Corps is not quite as scandalous and not as omnipresent as in the heart of their nation, but they still exist, and they are entertaining enough, even more so because Hange actually knows the people that are involved in them.
Erwin, of course, is the first and the most frequent victim to the local gossips. There are so many rumors about his sudden rise in ranks, all of them varying in absurdity and only some of them coming close to actual reality, and details of his love life has been discussed so many times that if one were to write all of it down, they'd get enough to fill up an entire book. In three volumes, no less. But knowing at least some portion of the actual truth, Hange doesn't enjoy engaging in those gossips. It's not as fun to theorize about Erwin's countless mistresses and secret lovers, when Hange knows for sure that his heart has no space for such things, that it was Erwin's own decision that it remained that way.
There are other rumors about him, though, they're not as popular, of course, but for Hange, they're much more interesting. A month ago, for example, new recruits started a discussion about Erwin's eyebrows, and one soldier suggested that they're fake and that the Commander of Survey Corps spends an hour in front of his mirror every morning to draw his giant eyebrows to give himself an aura of fierce determination. Another said that his eyebrows are so big because they're full of government secrets. Hange nearly started crying from laughter, when those theories had reached their lab.
Mike has his fair share of gossip as well. Hange themself once helped to spread the rumor that the reason behind his enormous height lies in his heritage, and he's the first known descent of a human and a Titan. The rumor spread with lightning speed, reaching even Erwin, but just as quickly it had dwindled down, when everyone found out that it was Hange, who started it.
Hange themself is a frequent subject of the local gossipers, but while some of them are quite amusing - like that time when everyone became convinced that they're a child of a King and that's why so many of their quirks are tolerated in Survey Corps, others are rather dull and unimaginative. Some of them are outright rude and insulting, but- having to live their whole life with similar whispers following after them whenever they went, Hange learnt how to ignore them.
The newest set of rumors, however, the one including their new star fighter, the ever mysterious Levi, is an endless source of joy to Hange.
They overhear it during breakfast one wonderful sunny morning.
As it always happens, when they come much later than everyone else, the dining hall greets Hange with empty mugs and plates, and only a few of the recruits that are still present. Recognising in them the members of Levi's new team, Hange sits a bit closer to them and strains their hearing to catch the bits of their conversation.
"I don't know..." the one with a ponytail, Levi's second in command, Eld, if Hange's memory is right, says, scratching at his chin. "He doesn't look like he's much older than me, to be honest."
"But he fights so well!" the little ball of sunshine, Petra, exclaims, nearly jumping from her seat. "And he's already a Captain! He can't be as young as you!"
"Age doesn't matter much in Survey Corps," the boring one, Oluo says, slowly dragging every word with the expression so weary Hange knows he must be copying his new Captain. "It's skills that count."
"He does look young," the one with a funny haircut agrees. "He can't possibly be older than twenty five."
Oh, they're discussing Levi's age? That piques Hange's interest. And makes them move closely to Levi's squad, eager to share with them what they know. And, maybe... lie a bit as well.
"And what our most promising fighters are doing?" Hange walks up to their table, not so subtly shoving Oluo in the side to create more space for them to sit. "Trying to guess how old your Captain is?"
"Hange-san!" Petra squeals, turning beat red at the realization that their conversation was overheard. "It's- it's nothing like that, we just-"
"You do know him better than we do, right, Hange-san?" Eld says, pulling a pleased hum from Hange. Levi definitely made the right decision when naming the guy his second in command. "Maybe, you can help us?"
"I doubt it." Oluo declares with an annoyed huff. That gesture is definitely one of Levi's, Hange has seen him do it countless of times, when in their presence. Oluo's, however, is not half as dismissive as Levi's. And doesn’t even come close to be just as cute.
"Of course, I know how old Levi is," Hange assures everyone around the table. "We're close friends, after all. And if you're so interested, he's..." they pause, for the dramatic effect. And to put a palm to their mouth to stifle the chuckle that's threatening to bubble out at any minute. "He's 42."
The choir of gasps and 'woah!' and 'what?!" follow after them, as Hange leaves. They make sure to do it quickly to not ruin the effect by bursting into laughter. The shocked faces of Levi's squad are truly priceless.
Walls, did they really believe them so easily? Hange mentally pats themself on the back.
It seems... like for the first time in their life, they've managed to create a convincing rumor.
Hange can't wait to see what direction it would take.
___
In a whirlwind of paperwork, new experiments to try on their latest test subjects and notes they have to review, Hange all but forgets about the morning incident. That is until their own team approaches them just a little after dinner.
Fidgeting hands, eyes that dart from one corner of the lab to another, the clear apprehension on their faces are quite familiar to Hange. Usually, when the members of their squad look so nervous, Levi is the cause of it. Usually, he's close by, standing right behind the door of the lab, waiting for Hange's own team to kick them out of their own lab so he can escort them to the bath and then make sure they go to bed earlier than two in the morning.
It's cute - that Levi and their squad care about them so, but more often than not it's also quite annoying - Hange's not fooling around after all, their job is important, and who'll do it, if they'll be relaxing in a bath and sleeping till noon each day?
But it's only been two days since Levi took them bathing, he can't really be nagging them about it again, can he?
If he, in fact, does nag them about it again tonight, Hange will go and complain to Erwin. They’ll even write a report, if they have to. They value Levi's care, they truly do, but everything must have its limits.
Already teetering on the edge of growing annoyance, Hange turns to their squad with a tense smile and a curt, "You want something?"
They surprise Hange, when they don't start organizing their notes as they usually do at occasions like that. Instead, they sit around Hange, all of four of them leaning a bit closer, before Nifa says, "Hange-san, we heard something during dinner..."
Hange tenses further and tries to recall what shit they pulled in the last week that made their squad so worried.
"We thought it'd be best to come to you with that issue," Abel continues, his gaze not quite nervous anymore, but intrigued instead, "Since you and Captain Levi are so close."
Oh! A lightbulb turns on above Hange's head, just as all tension dissipates from their shoulders. Their smile becomes much warmer, as they nod at their squad to keep going.
"The members of his team say that he's 42 years old, but we can't quite believe it," Nifa says, encouraged by the affirmative murmurs from her colleagues. "I mean... he looks so young. Don't you by any chance know how old is he?"
"Of course, I do!" Hange answers, biting the inside of their cheek to stop the grin from spreading on their lips. "Levi does look young, good observation, Nifa. He turned 18 just last month."
Hange's words produce the same effect as it did last time - the faces of their squad widen in surprise, and Nifa even murmurs, "18? He's even younger than I am...", but it doesn't quell Hange's amusement in the slightest.
"The more you know, eh?" they say, proud at how even their voice sounds. "But don't go around telling that to everyone. Levi asked me to keep it a secret."
"His secret is safe with us," Moblit bows his head, loyal and diligent as always. "You don't have to worry, Hange-san."
Hange doesn't worry in the least. They know for sure that as soon as their squad will leave the lab, every last member of the Survey Corps will become convinced that the great Captain Levi is barely an adult.
They watch their squad go with a joyful smile, eager to find out what chaos that lie of theirs would result in.

Hange doesn't get to find out about the consequences until late night, when they, having missed dinner and wanting nothing more than to sleep, trudge to their bedroom.
Surprisingly, they find the door unlocked. What's more surprising - is that they find Levi sitting behind their desk.
Already dressed to sleep and with his trademark tea cup in hand, he doesn't deem it necessary to explain why he's in their room or, at least, say hello to them. Instead, all he says is, "I know it was you."
Hange walks up to their bed, plops down at it and starts fighting with their boots. Only once they successfully take them down and sit on a bed with legs crossed at their ankles, does Hange turn to face Levi and ask the obvious question. "What have I done this time?"
"That shit about my age," Levi grunts, putting his tea cup down to stare at Hange beneath his menacingly furrowed eyebrows. As they look back at him, Hange briefly wonders if Oluo could ever pull off that look. They doubt it. People would probably start laughing instead of being intimidated by him. Although in that regard, Levi's look is not faring that much better. They know it does work on other people, but on Hange, who knows that Levi isn't nearly as scary as he tries to look, it's completely wasted. Perhaps, he should follow Erwin's example and take his advice on how to trim his eyebrows for them to look more formidable. "I know it's you who started it."
"And?" Hange asks, because with Levi, there is always some and. They're thrilled to hear about it.
"And I told them that you're even younger than me."
"Huh?" Hange cocks their head, pushing the glasses up their nose to scrutinize Levi closer. It is true that they're younger than him, not by much, just by three years, so he didn't lie about it. Why does right now he look so smug, though? What's his angle? "And what of it?"
"Well, since you've all convinced them that I'm 18. Now they think that you're-"
"Fuck!" Hange exclaims, as soon as dots connect in their head. "Levi!" they throw a pillow at him, which the bastard, unfortunately, catches with ease and grace before it can hit him in the face. "You jerk! You told them I'm 15? 15? I'm ten years older for Wall's sake!"
Levi snorts, throwing the pillow back at them. Hange catches it, but barely in time to stop it from colliding with their nose. "You've started this, four-eyes. So it's your own long tongue that you should blame."
"You- you!" perhaps, for the first time in their life, Hange is at a complete loss of words. They never knew that Levi, who scoffs and mocks every possible kind of entertainment, could be so wicked, so good at this game of gossip. They've surely underestimated him, but perhaps... there is a way to make use of it.
With their wit and imagination and Levi's deadpan expression and blunt manner of speaking, perhaps... they'd make a perfect team. The rumors that two of them can come up with... every hallway and each corner of their headquarters would be reeling from it.
Forgetting all about their grievances, Hange feels a brilliant smile bloom on their face. "Levi," they say with a palm already outstretched towards him, "how do you feel about combining forces with me? I've been dying to pull a prank on Mike."
"Whatever," he answers, and Hange's smile grows, when he takes their hand in his and shakes it. "Just no more bullshit about me."
"Of course, of course," Hange promises, shaking his hand heartily. "No more bullshit about you. And no more bullshit about me. Only about others."
Levi seems quite content with that, and the beginning of a beautiful partnership is celebrated by a loud 'hooray' from Hange, an awkward half-hug with Levi, several cups of tea and a long night of discussing their plans.
Levi leaves Hange's room close to sunrise, and, tired as he is, he doesn't notice a recruit, who is just returning to the barracks after the night at the bar. And what he also doesn't notice is the suspicious but intrigued look the recruit gives him, as he makes his way from Hange's room to his.
In the morning, every hallway and each corner of Survey Corps' headquarters is truly realing. But not from the gossip that Hange and Levi had planned throughout the night.
Instead, everyone is discussing with fascination a completely new rumor. One that involves Levi, Hange and a long night spent in one room behind closed doors.
