♡ Chishiya Being Jealous Over You Includes... ♡

♡• It's not like he doesn't expect other people you happen to meet around the Borderlands to not take any notice of you when you happen to be in games or something together. Chishiya is well aware that you're a very pretty person, not just by your looks. The two of you are practically unstoppable when you're working together in a complicated game, and that kind of success that you give each other does attract attention. Not just the suspicious and desperately frustrated attention of "How the hell are they doing this? Are they gamemasters or something?!" which Chishiya finds mildly amusing. It's when eyes linger on you, on your face, your body, for a moment too long, that his deep brown gaze will tint with an almost unnoticeable hint of venom.

♡• Chishiya Shuntaro doesn't like those starers. Not when it's you they're ogling.

♡• I'm not saying that he'll immediately get huffy and insecure Arisu 😏 or defensive and aggressive Niragi 😵 but he doesn't like it. He knows when it's happening, of course, since he's a very observant man, and so when he notices it, with just one emotionless stare at them, Chishiya will get the gist of what's going on in their head pretty quickly.

♡• They're not a threat to him. He's not scared of anyone, and won't back down from them. And it's not like he doesn't trust you, because he absolutely does, and knows that there's no way you'd fall for their words and shameless eyes as soon as they approach you. Still, it doesn't mean he won't make sure they're put in their place.

♡• It's like - you know how Arisu got caught when he found the fake safe, and Chshiya was just flipping around the walkie-talkie with his usual smug, unbothered smirk? It's kind of similar to that. He'll screw them over purposefully, maybe even put a bit of effort into it, because he can. Because he's smarter than them. And because you're his.

♡• Chishiya knows you can handle yourself, and turn them down as soon as they try coming on to you, but if they still persist and you're clearly uncomfortable, yeah, he'll step right in. One step in front of you, calmly and indifferently, he'll give them a scarily blank look and say something laced with a tinge of poison, like, "You should keep moving. Someone will get hurt." It's not in a way that he's saying he'll beat them to death on the spot 😂 but it's a warning that the next game they're in, he won't be helping them. Not one bit. He won't directly kill them, but if anything bad happens, it happens.

♡• Or maybe he'll pick up something about them just by watching them go about their way in the Borderlands, overhear a few conversations, and he's got them. Chishiya has his ways, and by the time he's finished saying what he's had to say, you notice that they're suddenly looking anywhere but in your direction, and Chishiya's satisfied half-smile that only grows when you clock what's going on and give him a glare.

♡• It also makes him rethink, yet again, of how ridiculously lucky he is to have you. After someone tries and ultimately fails to get your attention in a certain way, you'll randomly find Chishiya staring at you for longer than he usually does, or being a little more sentimental. It's just his way of showing you that he appreciates you, that he's truly in love, and never to doubt it. In moments when he's softer and more vulnerable, like late at night or alone on a rooftop, you'll hear it from him, and him saying those words with that intense gaze is aaaghh- 😍

♡• Basically, Chishiya doesn't get jealous in the usual way, not defensive and impulsive, or insecure and stuttery. He's just himself, and at the end of the day, you're one of the very few things that means a lot to him. The only incentive he had to win games before was for the sheer fun of it, really, not because he was desperate to survive, but literally because he could. But now that you've come along, there's one reason he's never had before, and no idiot trying to push their way into your relationship will ruin that reason. Love. 💙

Headcanon/Scenario

How AIB men will handle you being insecure about your tummy.

Chishiya:

This man pays such great attention to detail, it’s actually crazy. Chishiya will notice you’ve changed your shirt from a crop-top to a regular tee. He’ll question you about it, knowing you’re having an insecure moment/day. “You know I like your stomach, right? You don’t have to hide it around me, or anyone for that matter,” he’ll reassure you, coming up to you as he wraps a snug arm around you protectively.

Arisu:

Cuddling with Arisu, he’ll grab around your waist, clutching you close as he caresses your stomach. When you move his hand and pull your sliding shirt down, he’ll groan, already knowing what’s up. “Cut it out. Your stomach is cute and soft. Let me massage you,” he’ll whisper softly. You’ll cave in, sighing as he returns to rubbing the squishiness with a happy and child-like smile.

Aguni:

“Maybe I should start working out with you,” you’ll randomly blurt, hinting at your dislike for your belly. Confused and thrown-off, Aguni will turn to you, now curious as to why you’re saying this out of the blue. “I mean sure, babe. You know I don’t mind,” he’ll reply. “But why now? Where’s all this coming from?” Rolling your eyes, you’ll throw yourself back onto the bed, slapping your tummy. “This. This is where it’s coming from.” He’ll side-eye you extremely hard, coming down quickly to give your belly a ton of kisses. “Woman, if you don’t stop—you’re perfect.”

Niragi:

“I’m ordering takeout!” Niragi will shout from downstairs. “What do you want?” You’ll peer your head from the bedroom door to reply back. “Nothing—I don’t want anything.” He’ll squint his eyes perplexed, slowly but surely getting irritated. “Come down here,” he’ll demand. Sighing, you’ll drag your feet down the stairs, plopping down beside him on the couch. “What?!” You’ll exasperate impatiently. He’ll pop you on the forehead and thigh, ignoring your squeak at the assault as he says, “You know I like my woman with meat on her or else I have nothing to bite or grab. So, grow up. Now for the final time, what do you want to eat?”

Ok so, Les Mis fandom, hear me out. 

I was going through the list of upcoming Japanese dramas of the year, as one does, when I stumbled upon a scheduled special drama on January 9 in Fuji TV with the name “Les Miserables”. I hadn’t seen anything about this (maybe I missed it because we’re all so focused on BBC Les Mis?) but I though it would be either a dub of bbc les mis aired all together or a recording of the new staging with Park Romi as Madame Thenardier (how cool is that) and Hiroki Miura as Marius. Which sounds like it’s gonna be amazing, but it doesn’t open until April, so it made no sense. 

Turns out it’s neither. It’s a full on special on its own. 

Remember that one time Fox announced a modern day Les Mis where Valjean was a lawyer? This is a modern day Les Mis (kind of?) where Valjean is a lawyer, apparently. I don’t think the script writer was related to that project, so whether it was inspired or not, I don’t know, but it happened. And Valjean is Dean Fujioka. And Karina is in it. 

The plot sounds convoluted and weird af though, and if it wasn’t stated that it’s based on Les Mis I wouldn’t have got it, but here it is for you to read it yourselves, I’m gonna copy-paste what’s in that site I linked: 

Synopsis: One day in Kobe in the 1990s, news of the escape of a juvenile murderer from prison spreads around. Two years earlier, 17-year-old Baba Jun (Yoshizawa Ryo) got into a scuffle with Saito Futoshi (Terawaki Yasufumi), a self-serving man who had cheated his mother Yuko (Tomita Yasuko) of all her money, and killed Saito in self-defence. A high school drop-out, Jun worked hard at part-time jobs to earn money for surgery for his younger brother who suffered from biliary atresia. But he was slapped with criminal charges and thrown into a juvenile corrective institution. One day, Jun hears that his younger brother is in critical condition and breaks out. However, his brother is already dead. A despondent Jun tries to commit suicide but is saved by Tokuda Hiroaki (Okuda Eiji) who runs a self-support facility. He hides his identity and begins to live at the place. This is where he meets a youth Watanabe Takumi (Murakami Nijiro) who aspires to be a lawyer. There is another boy Saito Ryosuke, who is the only son of the man that Jun killed. Ryosuke had cut ties with his unscrupulous parents. But when it became known to the world that his father was killed for committing investment fraud, he was harassed by the media as if he was the assailant’s family even though he was supposed to be the victim’s family. Then the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake hit in 1995. This unprecedented natural disaster significantly changes the lives of the two boys. Some 10 years later, Jun (Dean Fujioka) has assumed Takumi’s identity. He opens a small lawyer’s office in a corner of Shinjuku in Tokyo and takes cases to defend the socially vulnerable. He also rehabilitates delinquent youth and provides free consultation to poor people. Ryosuke (Iura Arata) has become a detective with the Shinjuku Police Precinct’s Community Safety Division. He is in charge of many delinquent youth cases and is enforces strict control over them. One day, Ryosuke meets Takumi while cracking down on a brawl. The two men eventually develop a relationship of trust. However, Ryosuke finds out that this Takumi is his father’s murderer … …

I’m gonna assume that in this scenario, Baba Jun is obviously Valjean (I mean the name sounds close even) and Saito Ryosuke is Javert? Maybe this Takumi is kind of Fauchelevent-ish? I don’t even know, folks. It sounds very weird but I hadn’t heard about this so I thought I’d share in case anyone has seen anything about it to tell me what’s going on. Also, being a special, it’s a one episode thing, so it would be interesting to watch, but it wasn’t picked up by any fansub, so I guess it’s not gonna be around to watch easily, unless someone takes pity and picks it up. 

Anyway, I thought I’d share my amusement with you all. Maybe someone out there knows more about it than I do. And I fear I might be a bother but I’m gonna tag @pilferingapples because I thought the weird adaptation quality of it might be of interest.

Y/N: "It's been a really, really long time since I last saw and spoke with Nijiro! I've spent a month in Manila to film a movie and three months in Prague for another movie. Apart from that, I've also been invited to various fashion shows so I've never really gotten the chance to personally contact him."

• all nijiro knows is that he's been given a portfolio about an upcoming drama that his manager gave him. • all the while he's reading the printed plot on the portfolio, his road manager is already taking him an all familiar place he used to know - the house you two shared during your three month marriage. • upon arrival, nijiro is all ????? because he sees no buildings, no parked luxury cars. all he sees is the little house with a small garden, the sight of it immediately had him chuckling.

Nijiro: Truthfully speaking, the movie my manager gave me really looked interesting. I already tried channeling being the brother of the main character but...to my surprise...the house is in front of me. Does Y/N know? No. Ah, she's definitely in for a surprise.

• as food preparations are done, the former couple that everyone loved sat down and had dinner together, just like old times.

"I was so surprised that everyone really loved us on the program." Y/N says after swallowing the food in her mouth. "I'm sorry that I couldn't contact you often. I was already filming for a lot of movies."

"It's alright." Nijiro comments, "I hope you didn't forget bringing your umbrella with you now. You used to keep forgetting it."

"I always have my umbrella with me now!" Y/N chirps.

Nijiro: When I'm with Y/N, it suddenly feels like I'm filming We Got Married again. That's how much we grew close and comfortable in our relationship.

Y/N: It's nice how I finally got the chance to talk to Nijiro again.

"What has my honey been up to lately?" Nijiro asks in a sweet yet teasing tone.

"I've finished filming a move overseas and a commercial for a lipstick brand too!" Y/N beams.

"Ah, I've seen that lipstick commercial." Nijiro comments. "I'm jealous of the guy in the commercial. The producers should have hired me instead." He jokes, jokingly shaking his head as well.

• halfway through nijiro, it was only at that time did nijiro's eyes averted to her left ring finger, the ring still adorning on her finger. • a wave of warmth washed over his chest, taking out the ring he turned into a necklace; showing it to Y/N.

1. When he’s interested in someone:

NIjiro is charismatically coy; he’s a little awkward when he has a crush on a person, but it’s endearing and flattering. The person can see that he’s trying and is complimented by that. Nijiro is a quiet freak — he wouldn’t dare to be outwardly sexual right away. He’s very respectful and knows how to control himself/respect boundaries. But don’t get it twisted; he’s already picturing all the things he’ll wanna do to please his crush. After all, it is human nature to do so. Except once he’s gotten to that stage with his person of interest, he’s gonna do everything he promised/fantasized about like a pro. As for who makes a move first, Nijiro will be a little calculated and specific. He’ll drop hints and compliments, making every excuse to talk to or be around that person without coming off as clingy or creepy. To put it simply, he’ll play it by ear to not scare them away. If the person is sorta shy as well, he’ll eventually make a gentle but genuine pass. If they’re a bit more outgoing, he’s okay with waiting it out some more before saying something that directly expresses his infatuation/interest.

2. As a boyfriend:

When it comes to Nijiro as a boyfriend, overall it is an enjoyable, sweet, and intimate experience. No relationship is flawless as most people know, but he will always make a conscious effort. He’ll have his faults and he’ll make mistakes, but he is also the type to communicate, apologize, and never make the same mistake twice. Not to mention how serious he is about his apologies. If he hurts them or does something that isn’t all that great, their hurt will affect him. In regards to his personality, his shyness will begin to wear off and his goofy, playful, and touchy side will show. He’s a jokester and loves spending time with his partner. As goofy and silly as he is, he’s super calm and patient, too. He rarely ever raises his voice, but he’s not a pushover though. He’s a good communicator, so if he needs to get stern with them or be assertive he has no problem with that. No need to yell; his partner will hear every point he needs to make clearly and precisely. His actions most certainly display his affection for them. He’s a “say-er” and a “do-er.” When he says he loves them, he shows it with kisses, gifts, dates, massages, good conversation, and reassurance.

In bed, Nijiro isn’t as vanilla as one would assume from that sweet and innocent face of his.
