VIVI | ...I kind of hate them. Does that make me terrible? JULIÁN | Prince Frederick and Lady Emily? Why? VIVI | They're so perfect together. JULIÁN | ...are they? VIVI | Well, I think so. Opposites attract, right? JULIÁN | I think there's something to be said for shared interests. VIVI | Like what? Music and fashion? JULIÁN | Music, fashion, long walks on the beach...you look lovely, by the way. VIVI | Stop. You're ridiculous. JULIÁN | Beautiful, I'll say it as many times as it takes for you to believe it. VIVI | Shh! What if someone overhears you? VIVI | ...we should find somewhere we can speak privately. [Makin' out in the coat check room] VIVI | [moans softly] JULIÁN | [softly] Mmm...we should get out of here. JULIÁN | [breathily] I want you in my bed. I want to get my mouth on you. I want— VIVI | [gasps] W-wait— JULIÁN | Are you okay? VIVI | I'm sorry. You've been amazing, but I can't do this. VIVI | My husband— JULIÁN | He's not here, beautiful. He can't hurt you. VIVI | I know. VIVI | I'm sorry. You've been amazing, but...I just can't. VIVI | I really want to, but... JULIÁN | I get it. You're a good girl. VIVI | I'm sorry. JULIÁN | You apologize too much. You've done nothing wrong. But if you ever change your mind... JULIÁN | ...I'll be right here, waiting.

31 Royal Simblr Worldbuilding Questions -> Accepting
5 | Does your monarch have absolute power? If there are limits on their authority, what are they?
Louis does not have absolute authority and his powers are significantly limited by Sunderland's parliament. As the old saying in Sunderland goes, The King Reigns, Parliament Rules. Even the powers Louis does have (dissolving parliament, refusing to give royal assent to a bill, etc.) Louis doesn't evoke, mostly because doing so would cause massive controversy. Instead, Louis does things the sneaky way: lobbying, cash-for-access, and courting various political figures behind the scenes. He's yet to face any significant backlash because he manages to be discreet and his stoic image proceeds him.
23 | Are members of the royal family allowed to marry commoners? Are they allowed to marry citizens of other countries?
Members of the royal family are allowed to marry commoners and citizens of other countries. There is nothing preventing them from marrying outside of their race, nationality, or religion, but it's rare for this to happen since royals operate in a very narrow social class. Plus, there would be a huge amount of stigma attached to these type of unions.

🔺🥯😞 for nelia and ilanius, obviously, and one other of your choosing !!!
🔺does your oc know how to use any weapons?
Nelia - Nelia depends solely on her magic in lue of a weapon. Her knowledge of weapons is really just "sharp end goes in enemy, don't get hit with enemies sharp end," though I can't blame her. Her unique ability lets her tap into the source of all magic, meaning very strong spells, without paying the price of using such spells. Where others must be granted that access, Nelia gets a free pass to take as she pleases. However, she still has limitations and rules she must follow. She can't just rain fire on a city just because she feels like it.
Ilanius - Ilanius is well versed in weapons. His stepfather raised him pretty much as his son, giving him an extensive education. Ilanius is often duel-wielding short swords but knows how to use various swords, cross-bows, and a bow and arrow. Ilanius also was born with magic, though to no avail has he been able to control it. Many have tried to teach him the art of mastering chaos. So, in theory, he could attempt to use that as a weapon, though his opponent would likely best him while he was casting.
Otho - Otho, much like Nelia, knows what end to stick them with, and that is all. Though he loves to tell people he studied to become a bard at the College of Winter's Edge. Winter's Edge is not a Bard College; it's known for being a school that mainly teaches necromancy, illusion, and transmutation. Though most laugh off his claim, there's more truth in it than many would think.
🥯 what does your oc's typical breakfast look like? do they usually eat breakfast?
Nelia - If Nelia is near civilization she'll eat whatever the locals recommend. If she's traveling with someone, they usually will catch and cook something and share it with her under some sort of agreement. If she's traveling alone, she usually fends off hunger with anything she can forage. Hunting with magic makes anything caught pretty much unedible, and she lacks the patience for traps.
Ilanius - Ilanius will eat whatever he can catch if he's in between cities. If he's near civilization, he usually eats poached eggs on some sort of bread and if he can afford it he'll have bacon too.
Narsi - As a Lady in a wealthy family Narsi typically eats honied portage with fresh berries, a small plate of bread with different cheeses, and smoked ham/fish depending on the season.
😞 does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?
Nelia - Whether intentionally or not, Nelia tends to scare people away. She claims she likes it that way, but girlie lies through her teeth. In minor interactions such with merchants, inn keeps, and barmaids many walk away from the interaction pleasantly surprised she wasn't all as bad as she seemed. Mama didn't raise her to forget her manners.
Ilanius - People flock to Ilanius like a moth to light; he easily earns people's trust. That being said, he'll compliment you to your face only to talk shit about you behind your back, though usually it's well deserved... usually. Ilanius is very charming and easily liked, and that's what makes him so dangerous. I'm not saying he's a bad person, but maybe watch that valuable family heirloom he's nonchalantly eyeing.
Yaenfiera - Once upon a time, Yaen inspired love and respect everywhere she went. Now? One mention of her name and people spit. If she dared show her face? Well, no violence occurs -she was anointed by the divines to speak on their behalf; you can't just go punching holy figures- but horrendous words are thrown her way. I guess that's what happens when you start a war (albeit she didn't draw first blood, but Ivaenia had every legal right to declare war and break the 500-year war treaty, among other treaties), only to bounce when your people need you.

😊 & 🧡 for sorella!
😊 What are your oc's career/general life desires? what do they want to get the most out of life?
She wants to be on the sim equivalent of Broadway!! (in game that's the Uptown Theatre) Sorella loves musical theatre and performing in general. I've not shown it past there being a guitar in her room and a keyboard in the house, but she can play guitar and piano. She's got her grandmother's gift for singing (and Susanna is the one who taught her guitar). Past that as a career she just also wants to have fun, and have some freedom in the city after high school. (She doesn't really know what she wants in terms of family and romance though, that's not important rn)
🧡Does your oc tend to prioritize family or friends?
Family. (And to be fair, her closest friend Summer is her cousin so it overlaps) Since Xavier had her so young, she grew up very close to her Great-Grandparents and her Grandparents. And particularly since her favorite family member [Great Grandpa Liam] died she understands how important family time is. Spending the last 5 years angry at her Dad she did spend more time with her Grandparents. However, this is likely to change a little as she grows up and becomes a bit more independent 👀

13-15 for editing!
hiii! Thanks for the ask!
13. do you have any inspirations from media?
Oh, definitely. Some of my favorite edits are actually fan-edits. (Like this one and this one are "epilogues" to Critical Role Campaign 2, and this one which is about Nikolai Lantsov from the Grishaverse. Though I'd say that 2nd one isn't so much an edit.) And then I have my tarot card edits, which use my dnd characters. (one, two) Other than these ones, though, I can't pinpoint any specific media influences. But I can guarantee there's more subtle influences.

5 & 18 for writing!
5. What’s the easiest thing to write for you?
I find scenes or the setting to be the easiest thing to write.
18. What is one theme/storyline/idea you wish to write but never have?
I love historical political stories, some of my favorite ones include things like the relationship between Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I, or Chinese Harem Dramas. The two most well known of these shows are The Legend of Zhen Huan (also known as Empresses in the Palace) and Ruyi's Love in the Palace (also known as The Legend of Ruyi). I have always wanted to write something similar.

5, 9, & 16 for royal simblr worldbuilding!
5. Does your monarch have absolute power? If there are limits on their authority, what are they?
It's a little different for the main stories but as follows;
Constitutional: San Sequoia, Mt. Komorebi, Forgotten Hallow, Oasis Springs (Semi), Windenburg
Absolute: Tartosa, Moonwood Mill
Overall, for the constitutional most power is in the hands of the government. The government makes, passes and veto's laws. The royal family does have the power to make things better for themselves and some of them do lean into that. That being said, they are supposed to be no more than figure heads but it also differs from country to country. In Forgotten Hallow, there is a council of the four founding families to keep the current Monarch in check. Oasis Springs, the royal family does by law have more power but mostly defer to the government and step in to help the people. Windenburg has 'no' power but wield it behind the scenes and their favor and used by the mostly conversative government to prop up it's ideals.
9. How formal is your royal family in public? How formal is your royal family in private?
San Sequoia - No never formal in public or private. They've leaned into the celebrity because that's what brings money into the country.
Mt. Komorebi - Formal in public and a little more loose in private but still lean more formal.
Forgotten Hallow - Formal in public and more relaxed in private, the kids at least.
Oasis Springs - Formal in public and non formal in private, very relaxed.
Windenburg - Formal in public and in private. There are some closer bonds but formal overall.
Tartosa - Formal in public and very relaxed in private among each other. Tend to be more formal when around nobles.
Moonwood Mill - Formal in public and in private with a few outliers.
16. How popular and well-respected is your monarch and the institution of monarchy?
San Sequoia - Very popular and the institution is seen as a good thing.
Mt. Komorebi - Semi-popular, as of right now, the current Monarch is seen as serious and nonsense, thus leading to a bit of disconnect. That being said, the country does love the institution overall.
Forgotten Hallow - Popular as a monarchy and the idea of it is still very popular.
Oasis Springs - The Monarchy as well as the institution are both very popular.
Windenburg - The Monarchy is fairly popular but falls behind some countries, support of the institution has been lower since the passing of King Leon.
Tartosa - Overall, the Monarchy and the institution of it have very low support currently.
Moonwood Mill - Support of the Monarchy and the institution has risen since they handled the issues with Princess Aishina swiftly.

The simplistic gameplay of Jump King is belied by the sheer difficulty of ascending through each of its screens, but this simplicity is underlined by a focus on intuitive imprecision. While exceedingly difficult, the imprecision associated with each jump, the height and distance of which is determined by how long the player holds the jump button before releasing it, is designed to slowly become easier to understand point by point. This is further marked by the fact the game frequently has the player, upon failing a jump, to fall back down to prior screens, ensuring they get significant practice with the basics of the mechanic following each failure.

14-16 and 23-24 for royal simblr worldbuilding!
14. Are members of your royal family allowed to give interviews and speak freely to the press?
Are they allowed to? yes. Does it usually go well? no lol
The royal family has certain media outlets that they are "close to" and thus are able to control the flow of information better. This leads into the next question, but basically they have their biased media that they usually give the exclusives to in return for a favorable portrayal. When the royals decide to speak to people outside of this mutually beneficial bubble is when it gets messy as other media outlets are less willing to sugar coat and polish things that their preferred media outlet might. Harrison has disregarded the relationship between the royal family and the press majorly during his rule by keeping things more private even from their trusted sources, but that's what Warren the PR guy is there for! His role is mainly to help bridge the gap between the royals and the public along with making sure their portrayal stays favorable.
15. How does your family make announcements and communicate with the public?
Most important announcements are made through official social media pages of the palace. "Trusted sources" are also known to "leak" things to those trusted media outlets I mentioned if it's not something the palace wants to come from them directly. This helps regulate the flow of information and make sure the news is portrayed favorably.
16. How popular and well-respected is your monarch and the institution of monarchy?
The monarchy in general is respected, but basically seen as glorified celebrities at this point. They are seen as a reminder of Brighton's history and serve as a reminder of tradition more than anything to the public.
Harrison is respected, but isn't known very well by the public. As a child he spent most of his time with his grandmother the queen, so he was seen at official events, but after the death of his father his lessons became more intense and he spent less time in the public eye. The only time the public saw a lot of him was when Lily was alive and they attended obligations with their children. After her death, the public saw less of him again and mostly pitied him. This shakeup with Elaine has been wild for the public as they know him to be such a private man.
23. Are members of the royal family allowed to marry commoners? Are they allowed to marry citizens of other countries?
Yes to both! Marrying commoners is pretty common nowadays since Brighton's nobility is only really members of the royal family (I haven't actually fleshed out the nobility yet but let's pretend ok). Marrying citizens of another country is also pretty common and not a big deal at all.

Opening speech of the Cannes Film Festival by His Imperial Majesty Emperor Napoleon V
Only the pronouncement is authentic.
Cinema is part of the Francesim. Francesim saw, in 1895, the first public projection organized by the Lumière brothers at the Salon Indien of the Grand Café in Paris, projection which attracted 33 spectators at 1 Franc the place. In Francesim, one can see simultaneously all the new works, French as well as foreign, a panorama of creativity.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Festival is a time of meetings and exchanges. During two weeks, all the professionals of the cinema, actors, directors, technicians, come daily to share their passion with the public. It is also a time of opening on the foreign very precious.
The Cannes International Film Festival was born from a will to fight against a fascism that had distorted European cinema, and it has never stopped welcoming, protecting and bringing together the greatest filmmakers of their time and from all horizons.
Cinema is a dream that we all share. We all have the feeling that there is, on the map of the universe, one more country, where cities all over the world where stories are told, where images are invented, where children's dreams become adults' dreams.
Thank you @officalroyalsofpierreland and @nexility-sims for sharing your fantastic sims :)

9-11, 41, & 59 for jack and coraline (runners-up sam and/or tati if you feel like it) ✨
sixty more OC asks 📝✨ -> Receiving
Dearest N., thank you so much for sending me so many asks about characters I don't always get questions about.
JACK (she's appearing soon, I'm excited)
9 | Do they cheat to win or play by the rules?
Jaqueline Warwick? One of the most senior nepotism babies in the country? A woman who was basically gifted clothes from the Versaces with her name hand-sewn onto them at sixteen? A woman whose father gifted her a 1.7 million dollar estate as a wedding gift? Her? Play by the rules? Don't make me laugh.
10 | What do they fantasize about?
At the moment? The French Rivera. Perusing spice markets in Marseille. The glitzy Parisian skyline. She's sick of Sunderland, really, she needs a vacation.
11 | Who’s the most important person in their life?
Signlar person? Probably her mother. After James died they became inseparable. If they're not together physically, they're always talking on the phone.
41 | What do other people love most about them?
Jaqueline has a sharp tongue and is often just plain rude, but supporters of the monarchy have re-framed that as her being direct. She tells it as it is, she doesn't bullshit people, yet she's still generally jovial and snarky enough for people to feel that she's not too stuck up. That's the most popular thing about her.
59 | What motivates them?
The main thing that motivates her to continue working within the royal family is her family. With James dead and Phillip AWOL, she's compelled to continue to her duties to ease the burden on her parents, who are getting older. Plus, Nicholas needs all the support he can get without his father. Even if Jaqueline's direct family is outside of the institution, she continues to make a living within it for that reason.
CORALINE
9 | Do they cheat to win or play by the rules?
Coraline is comfortable bending the rules to get her way. She'd be left behind otherwise. She's seen people waltz into positions they didn't earn just because they knew the right people, is she really the one cheating by being a little over-zealous?
10 | What do they fantasize about?
Creating. Creating art, creating beauty, creating joy. Creating life. She's a creator at heart, she just doesn't want to do it for a profit anymore.
11 | Who’s the most important person in their life?
Her agent, in the sense that she has the most control over Coraline's professional life and image.
41 | What do other people love most about them?
Probably how eloquent and intelligent she is. Her activism has garnered a great deal of respect for her, as well.
59 | What motivates them?
Just the hope that someday she'll get through this slump in her life. Things won't be like this forever, surely.
SAM
9 | Do they cheat to win or play by the rules?
See Jaqueline for that whole nepotism speel. It's the same deal with Sam mostly. Phillip pays for basically everything he has, and his last name does allow him to cut some corners. However, he's more likely to turn down the more obvert benefits. As an undergrad, there were plenty of people who offered lucrative job positions he was vastly underqualified for. But he turned them all down, he wanted to work for his degree.
10 | What do they fantasize about?
Finally snapping and giving all the people in his life a Reasons You Suck Speech while they're too stunned and dejected to argue with him. It's always way cooler in his mind, mostly because he knows that if he tried that in reality it would end with a massive screaming match and lots of tears on his end.
11 | Who’s the most important person in their life?
Robin D'aureville, his semi-abusive ex. Outside of that, probably Daddy.
41 | What do other people love most about them?
Unlike his parents and brother, Sam doesn't seem to cause all that much trouble. He is usually out of the spotlight, studying hard at school. People appreciate that there's a member of the family not constantly in the media for unflattering reasons.
In the family, however, he's very deadpan and often has people in stitches of laughter without even trying.
59 | What motivates them?
Getting his degree, making his own money as a teacher's assistant, just the idea that he'll be able to make his own way in life without his father's legacy boring down on him. He knows the Woodbine Duchy is his inheritance, but he wants to establish himself first.
TATIANA
9 | Do they cheat to win or play by the rules?
As a royal spouse, she really did not place a foot wrong. She was more by the book than Irene, even. She never made a fuss where people could see, she always held her husband's hand even when she was mad at him. She gave birth to two sons in quick succession and maintained every regressive/toxic standard expected of a royal wife. She played by her rules for her whole marriage. And look where she is now.
10 | What do they fantasize about?
Returning to the stage. She's been thinking about performing more and more lately.
11 | Who’s the most important person in their life?
Her sons are always her top priority, always.
41 | What do other people love most about them?
Her compassion and thoughtfulness. As a royal, she never came off as entitled or conceited. She never shows up to food banks or charity drives empty-handed and she always leaves fruit baskets and handwritten notes for her personal staff and members of the public. Personally, she hates that this is her personal image, it leaves little room for her to make mistakes.
59 | What motivates them?
In the long term nothing really, she just drags herself from one day to the next.

“Nexil and Eyeless Wolf”
Some gift artwork I made for my friend on Discord of our fursonas playing on the NES. My fursona is the protogen, while hers is the blue wolf.
I haven’t drawn a full body art piece in quite some time aside from the occasional sketch of myself, let alone two figures with a simple setting. So I’m quite proud of this piece.
(Don’t ask how the wolf is playing the game without seeing the screen. She does her own thing and she is a total pro at this stuff. Let the wolf do her thing. UwU)

2, 15, 25, 34, 37, 40 !!
Thank you for asking : )
2. Do you drink tea or coffee? How do you take it?
I prefer tea myself, though I mostly drink this specific baked apple sort that's only sold in the christmas time, but is perfect the way it is without adding anything
15. What’s your favorite season?
I think winter- that is, properly cold winter, not like this year's. I love snow, I love warm sweaters, and I love coming home into the warm and cuddling up with a blanket and a hot chocolate (I also like being able to buy my favourite tea)
25. What’s your favorite decade?
To live in the modern day (well, maybe a few years ago before Covid) does have most of the advantages, but aesthetically I will not deny that I love the first bustle era of the 1870s more than my own peace, as you may have surmised from me setting a story in the 1870s in spite of the painfully little cc covering it
34. What’s your favorite flower?
I have always loved forget me nots, and I woite an incredibly cheesy poem about them for my best friend's graduation book entry.
37. Do you prefer dogs or cats?
My cat actually came in and started trying to walk all over my keyboard when I was about to answer this, and I called her the best cat in the world in response, does this answer the question?
40. Do you like the beach? Do you prefer it sunny or cloudy?
I don't like sand... I really don't, but I do like swimming, so it could be worse, though it is so often also overfilled, so for that I prefer it cloudy, there's way less people then
