list those ugly irl tiaras, sis!
I think I will, actually, because I have no issue dragging IRL royalty, as they deserve. Like, if you like a tiara that I dislike . . . kick rocks I guess, this is just my opinion. I'll do five to keep it brief. And these are in no particular order.
Tumblr media
The Burmese Ruby Tiara 🇬🇧
Queen Elizabeth II had a perfect tiara in the Nizam of Hyderabad, that was literally gifted to her and she just randomly decided to take a sledgehammer to it and made the meatball splatter tiara? I'm still so annoyed because the old tiara was so much better and this is a huge downgrade.
Elizabeth II sucked at making jewelry. All three of the tiaras she commissioned are ugly as sin, but this one is just insulting. At least the Brazilian aquamarine has character.
Tumblr media
Princess Madeleine's Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara 🇸🇪
It looks like an arts and crafts tiara. Like I get it, she was 18 and you want to give her something practical as a baby's first tiara, but it's just ugly and Madde deserved better. It's funny because Sweden has some of the best tiaras and the other Aquamarine tiara they have is one of my favourites.
Tumblr media
The Empire Tiara 🇱🇺
Luxembourg has some of the worst tiaras, but this one takes the cake. The issue with many of these huge tiaras is that they were made during a time when hair was way more dramatic, which complemented these big gun tiaras. However, modern hairstyles just don't work, and that's why I can't vibe with the Empire Tiara. It also is just too gaudy, stiff and heavy-looking, like one of those beauty pageant tiaras.
MT just looks bad in it and I already have a negative opinion of her for, um, other reasons . . .
Tumblr media
The Duchess of Edinburgh's Wedding Tiara 🇬🇧
So, I don't know what they were thinking giving Sophie this hideous hodge-podge mess. It was made up of pieces from a different tiara belonging to Queen Victoria and it shows. It has tons of empty space and is gapping at the bottom. It also just doesn't have a proper base. I think they renovated it recently and while it looks better, it's still ugly.
Also not that point, but that pearl necklace? Your husband designed that for you? Sorry.
Tumblr media
The Modern Gold Tiara 🇳🇴
I like a sci-fi look, and I like how Sonja wanted to step outside the box with this one, but I just find it ugly and awkward-looking, and the diamonds on add nothing. This is maybe the best version of it, though. Extra points for creativity, I guess.

You talk all this but you never hold your peers (grimalldi, wa-royal-tea, etc.) accountable. All of their sims are white, thin, etc.
Because why is it my job to go around being the diversity police for blogs that are more popular than me? I'm not that insufferable. I'm just stating my opinion and perspective and none of that is invalidated by me not "holding people accountable" as if I even have the power to do that.
I don't think it's cool to name people in a way that will hurt feelings, if you have an issue you can politely express that to them directly. I can't really speak on behalf of anyone else. I also find it ironic that one of the blogs you list is run by a non-white person, and both blogs are not exclusively white anyway.
You know, all y'all talk about there being no diversity in the community, but I can name several royalty simblrs run by black people that feature almost exclusively a black cast and they're never supported to the same extent as other blogs. If I'm being honest, royalty simblr being dominated by white, hetero, thin people reflects the standards of the people who consume that content. The characters that are the most fawned over are usually white, the ships that are most popular are usually hetero and mono-racial. POC characters are usually more likely to be scrutinized by readers. I've seen you guys on anon compare darker-skinned sims to animals, say that Black royals are unrealistic, and question people on why "all their sims are black" when a blog has more than one black sim, so let's not pretend that hemogenous nature of royalty simblr isn't a result of that. If you want to see more diverse sims, support a diverse range of creators and stop being weird. Simple.

So this took forever because I actually didn't know who to pick or what to dress them in. Eventually, I settled on Jacque wearing one of the Dior gowns I made. The amount of boobage going on would probably cause some "eyebrow-raising" but she wore it anyway because most royal protocol and modesty standards are just made up by journalists and don't actually reflect how people within the family actually dress.

Love Phyllis and her life story! How did Irene and Katherine feel about Phyllis when she first entered the family. Since they both came from Nobility and got married young, did they look down on Phyllis for being a model from a “normal” background. Keep doing good, you are such a great creator!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi and thank you!
In general, Irene had no issue with Phyllis or her background. Phyllis married following the Farrahgate scandal so Irene was sort of in her Rebel era and despised the lack of solidarity in aristocratic circles. Phyllis became her partner in crime for a while since she wasn't really aligned with the upper-crusts. Phyllis was very excited to have a sister, so she put a lot of effort into the relationship. They have a very sisterly bond and they still talk.
Katherine was sort of like a mother-in-law from hell, but this just had to do with her internalized misogyny more than her looking down on Phyllis because she was poor. Clarence and Phyllis married in their thirties so she had a harder time bullying and intimidating Phyllis the same way she did with eighteen-year-old Irene. I'd say not being of wealth helped Phyllis tolerate Katherine because she had actual life experience and knew how to manage confrontations better. In fact, Phyllis was often the mediator between Katherine and Irene. Over time both Irene and Phyllis learned to tolerate their mother-in-law.

what tiara did each of the warwick brides wear for their weddings?
Ruby DeWitt Claypoole, Lady Katherine Rothman, Princess Anne Elizabeth, and Princess Alice - Wearing a tiara on your wedding day only became a custom in the mid-twentieth century. Before this royal brides wore sprigs of orange blossom, taking after Empress Maria Alexandrovna of Russia, mother of Queen Alexandra of Sunderland. All these brides wore floral wreaths.

Is the Sunderland royal family related to any other European royals families? How are they related?
Good question! The Sunderlandian royal family is entwined with several European dynasties. To name a few certain members of House Warwick are a descendants of:
Denmark 🇩🇰
Christian IX of Denmark: He was the Father-in-law of Europe for a reason! Louis's Glencairn cousins are descendants of King Christian through their mother Esther, who was his great-great-great-granddaughter.
Germany 🇩🇪
Frederick William I of Prussia: All Sunderlandian kings are descendants of House Hohenzollern and that was their original name, too. Frederick William I of Prussia was the father of Frederick the Great and Prince Henrich of Prussia, who later became King Louis I of Sunderland following the establishment of a North American monarchy in 1782. Louis talks about him HERE.
George V of Hanover: Queen Anne, Louis's grandmother was a granddaughter of King George V of Hanover. Their family was deposed during Anne's lifetime and you can check out her character tag to learn more about that.
Louis II, Grand Duke of Hesse: Queen Alexandra was of half-Russian and half-German descent. Her maternal side was Hessean.
Russia 🇷🇺
Alexander II of Russia: Queen Alexandra of Sunderland was the daughter of Alexander II and she was very proud of that fact
Alexander III of Russia: On top of being descendants of Alexander II, the Glenciarins are also descendants of Alexander III through Duchess Esther, making their tree very wreath-like.
The United Kingdom 🇬🇧
King George III: Queen Anne is a great-great-granddaughter of the British monarch. Queen Amelia was also a daughter of George III but she has no surviving descendants today.

WCIF the aquamarine set on the march birthstone post also the amethyst one I have bits like the brooch but I can’t find the rest
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're not full complete sets, they're mostly individual pieces of CC that I recoloured for my own use. I'll still link to them but just know they won't be the same colour unless you want to recolour them yourself. Also, the brooches shown to be in the hair were edited to look that way and don't actually do that in the game. If I didn't link to something (the tiara, headband, and choker in the aquamarine post), it's because I made it and I'm not interested in sharing those at the moment.
Amethyst
Swedish Pink Topaz Demi Parure
Grape ring (TSR)
DELUXE II Bracelets (Exclusive, but you can find them without paying, that's all I'll say)
Aquamarine
DELUXE NECKLACE (Exclusive, see above)
Brooches I, III, IV
Brooch II
Sapphire Halo Earrings (TSR)
Bracelet
Also, next time please only ask for one to three items per WCIF. It's really time-consuming for me. I'm only answering this one because I didn't really have any disclaimer for people to know.

What is your single best piece of writing advice?
Write. And read. Half of the actual work in improving your writing is to just sit down and do it, even if it's terrible at first.
Also, learn from what you read, what makes things good and what makes things bad. Read anything BUT Sarah J Maas. I'm sick of people trying to imitate her writing style. It's garbage.

what actors would you want to play your characters (nick, coraline, tatiana, irene, louis, katherine, alex, philip, jean, jack, more but these were the first characters that came to mind!) in a hypothetical movie/show of your story?
I have no idea! I've never done a fan casting of characters but I do have some IRL public figures that remind me of certain characters, and I pull inspo for the characters, so I guess I'll just list them all here? So, opinions and comments are welcome, whatever. I can't put a cut because it messes with the formatting of the images, so it's a bit long!
Tatiana - Nicole Kidman, with like the curly hair and stuff, she looks JUST like her!
Nick - He's Jack Schlossberg and, yeah, I know he's not an actor but still!
Coraline - Issa Rae maybe? I don't know. Throw in some Michaela Coel to her features and I think she'd look like her.
Jacqueline - Charlize Theron but when she was in her Evil Queen Era, I don't know if that makes sense.
Courtney - Courtney Love, that's where the name comes from haha!
Jean - I compared Jean to Devon Aoki in canon I guess we just need to give her some hair dye or something
Phillip - Ewan Mcgregor. Obviously with darker hair and eyes. But Phillip has a man crush on Ewan Mcgregor: he took Courtney to the Moulin Rouge premiere and he thought Ewan was a less shrimpy version of himself, especially with the darker hair. I have never had an excuse to talk about this headcanon until now, so.
Shelby - Amy Adams Kirsten Dunst, I don't care if you don't see it, it's literally her.
Zella - Zendaya, that's always been the vision for her
Farrah - A brown version of Barbra Streisand
Katherine - Babe Paley
Ruby - Adriana Caselotti
Irene - Linda Evans ????? With the right wig, it could work!
Phyllis - Joan Collis, keeping with the Dynasty theme, but the same rule for Irene, the right wig will work!
Louis - Charles Dance could probably do it if he grew out his beard and got darker hair. Either him or Brain Cox.
Alex - Finn Jones is like the only guy for the role, I swear, just throw some freckles on him.
Henry - He would be Joseph Gordon Levitt, with the glasses because he's a fucking nerd and he has sort of a baby face like Henry.
James - Henry Cavill, but specifically from the period when he was in The Tudors. Not Clark Kent or The Witcher Henry Cavill. He still looked sort of like a person back then.
So here's your WARWICK (2024) cast. This is like a better version of that AI trend, isn't it?

you've talked about zella's dad and how he's notable for being sunderland's first black peer, but what other prominent black figures are featured throughout sunderland's history?
Sunderlandians of African descent probably make up around 13 - 15 % of the population, which doesn't sound like a lot but that's over 13 million people at the very least and Black culture has influenced Sunderland's cultural landscape similarity to the US and Canada. Zella's father is a retired basketball player and we'll see how that alone has shaped Sunderland's culture very soon. Like, next week the story gets why more "on the nose" when it comes to addressing race. Black American culture also has a very heavy influence
Arthur, the literal grandson of the King, listens to music from Future, 21 Savage, Playboi Carti, (I just realized that Kanye, being from Chicago, would be from Sunderland in my universe, help) commentary about how rich white boys often listen to trap rap aside, it implies that Black culture is potent enough to influence the life of a kid who realistically has nothing in common with the experiences being portrayed through that type of music.
Most of Sunderland's major institutions have been majority white for most of their history, which is very intentional on my part. There is a reason why I made all my royals white to start with. But I'd love to imagine that there were several Black key players throughout history, Black people who were politicians, lawyers, musicians and war heroes. One of my pet peeves people do is that they pretend that Black people have only existed in history as slaves and impoverished descendants of slaves. Black history is diverse, multi-faceted and beautiful. It's not just a story of eternal suffering and oppression. And we're gonna talk about that once Coraline returns to the story.
Thanks for the question, it was a really good one.

Hi Ayanna! Literally just sending a message of appreciation: you and Rusty are the only Sims 4 CC creators I have come across who make elegant 80s style clothing, clearly because you share an appreciation for the style of Princess Diana and the female royals who have followed. Thank you!! Your Sloane Ranger pack has filled a massive hole in my Sims CC storytelling and I am excited to (hopefully) see more :) Very best to you and yours x
What! Thank you so much, I'm so happy you like my CC. I'm glad that it's filled a void for you because that's always my intention <3

Does Irene have ladies in waiting as a part of her royal household? If so, who are they? Also what role does modern nobility play in Sunderland today? Are they still relevant?
Yes, she has ladies in waiting and you can see them standing behind her. They don't have names, but I assume they are the wives of very prominent peers, so maybe a countess or marchioness.
Tumblr media
Ladies in waiting aren't just reserved for the Queen, it's just a term used for a female attendant for a female member of the royal family. Tatiana, Jacqueline, and even Shelby also have their own ladies in waiting that they appoint themselves. Basically, a hired gal-pal to accompany them on outings—Courtney started out as Tatiana's lady-in-waiting a year before she became engaged to Phillip (this was on Phillip's advice, but the two women knew of each other before then, so Tatiana became her mentor in a way).
The role of the lady in waiting for the Queen Consort has been reduced significantly since the late 1990s. Before there used to be what was called a a Lady of the Bedchamber, similar to what they have in the UK. It was a more formal role that included a schedule and required attendance at certain events. Now it's way less formal and about half a dozen ladies alternate in and out of what's called "The Queen's Company". The titles Lady of the Bedchamer and Mistress of Robes was retired in 2003.
Nobility plays next to no formal role in current years. They still have some social and cultural significance, but very little institutional power unless they've been elected or appointed to a role.
