STARMYU AGAIN (AGAIN)
I ALWAYS FORGET TO POST THIS WHEN I GO HOME BUT ANYWAYS I WANTED TO ADD TO THE OTHER POST HOW MUCH I LOVED THE KAO COUNCIL SONGS
Like for every new Kao Council they have that theme song where they have their own beginnings until the chorus part where they're like "satisfy!"
and there are actually like cool details about it. I mean idk if its just me but the Ancient Kao Kai song and the Hiiragi Kao Kai song was similar yk? that same tone, only different lyrics and the dance for Hiiragi's Kao Kai was honestly on top for me better than any other fr. I wanted to talk about how the New Kao Kai/ Shiki's Kao Kai like- really changed. In the beginning of the song I didn't even notice that it was Kao Kai song, which kinda hinted at the change they wanted to do for the school. And ofc I can't forget my favorite one, the Finale Kao Kai where everyone literally like- from 4 members to 5 members to 5 members to 14 Kao Kai Members.
That was the best for me because its probably the one that changed the most, which really proved Shiki's last line being "A new generation" AND OH GOSH THE ENDING TOO "let's have fun." - Yuta Hoshitani. ALL IT NEEDED WAS "boys" AND IT'D BE SO LIKE OTORI.
and well speaking of Otori, Their version of the Kao Kai song was like- the basic one. Specially since they didn't have anything before "satisfy" unlike the other ones, which ig was (this is me overthinking) showing how they're traditional, no changes, no additions necessary that could harm the Ayanagi Brand. That's All Thank You for coming to my pep talk<3 ssn 4 pls

Anakin Skywalker has fucked up.
Wait. Kriff. That's not right.
Because it's not his fault.
Tumblr media
Anakin Skywalker tried to warn them.
Do or do not. There is no try.
But they didn't listen. They never did.
Listen, because some wars are silent.
And because of their ignorance, the Republic, the GAR, the Jedi Council, all of it is gone.
The path of ignorance is guided by fear.
Now, there's just a handful of battered Jedi, Clone Troopers, and freedom fighters left. The rest have gone into hiding, fearful for their lives.
The fight is done. We lost.
And for a while, Anakin has given up all hope. That is, until he hears a voice.
FULFILL YOUR PROMISE, ANI’IKA.
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan Kenobi is tired.
The costs of war can never be truly accounted for.
He doesn't want to fight anymore. He's had enough.
Survival is one step on the path to living.
There's nothing left for him now. Everything he knew turned out to be a lie.
Truth was the first casualty.
Obi-Wan needs help. More than that, he needs closure.
Sometimes, accepting help is harder than offering it.
But that may have to wait until he hears what his former Padawan has to say.
A wise leader knows when to follow.
Tumblr media
Zia Ma'a needs to run.
You can change who you are, but you cannot run from yourself.
She's parenting a child she didn't even create, and her girlfriend has been reported dead.
But what is grief if not love persevering?
Zia vowed to leave her past behind her, looking to a new future after the war.
Only the dead have seen the end of the war.
But with the dawn of the Empire on the rise, she can't just sit there while people are suffering.
Freedom is never free.
Which is why she doesn't think twice when accepting Ahsoka's offer.
One must let go of the past to hold on to the future.
Tumblr media
Theodosia Skywalker feels helpless.
Facing all that you fear will free you from yourself.
The galaxy thinks she's dead. Her brother and niece have gone missing.
Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere?
Everything in her life just seems to be crashing down around her.
Grief is a recurring battle. Heartbreak is an frequent enemy.
Evil has corrupted the path she was on, and now, she has no choice but to forge a new one.
If there is no path before you, create your own.
But Theo soon realizes that the Empire doesn't have as tight of a grip on the galaxy as it thinks it does.
There is no such thing as Greater Good, but there is such a thing as Great Evil, and it will win if you don’t stop to Think.

the idea of my verse take a different direction than ingame canon and influenced by post-Clone War timelines.
I had the idea where instead of Tython, the Jedi all sought Odessan to call it as their new home and far away from Coreworld to hide. Think of this like an Alliance + Ossus merge after the event of Sacking.
The Jedi are.... pretty much scattered. Some sacrificed their lives to protect others, some forced to surrendered and taken prisoner, some managed to escape and left the Coreworld.
The surviving ones found refugee in the planet Odessan where they feel safer away from Empire control. The Jedi aren't alone as they are joined by allies like Matriarch Sumari and her clan, and aswell former Republic members who are loyal to the Jedi.
I like to think the Jedi and non-Force users all uniting as a family post-Sacking. Therefore forming a 'Rift Alliance'.
The Jedi were... nearly wiped out and the Masters weren't sure the fates of their Council members or other Masters.
The Jedi Masters formed a Council on Odessan with Grandmaster Oteg remained as leader. They also decided to include non-Force Sensitive amongst them such as Matriarch Sumari and General Daeruun.
I want to say that both Kao Cen Darach and Ven Zallow both survived the trailers with minimal injuries to be apart of the Council to. play the role into mentoring Jazz or Tau and other Jedi on Odessan. (I have yet to decide whether Jazz was a Padawan to twi'lek!Satele or not).

"He has left the chamber, I'm not surprised, I don't think Mr Lavrov wants to hear the collective condemnation of this council" says Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, following Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov walking out of the meeting.https://t.co/X3flQUCiPZ 📺 Sky 501 pic.twitter.com/8pymw5lIqw — Sky News (@SkyNews) September 22, 2022

STARMYU LAST
ok wow just wow I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT SO MUCH ITS SO LIGHT AND NICE AND COOL
i have a lot to say since i finished it in one go and didn't really do the same thing as i did with high card but anyways here it goes
firstly during the first season there's not much to cover since its your typical plotline where the mc's struggle and find a way in the most inspiring way possible much like any pther idol anime lol
second, I was so confused when they started mentioning acting because I had fully thought that it was an idol anime which it wasn't it's a musical anime like a legit musical anime that is about theatre.
Now onto the plot, third, the second season plot was beautiful, it was pure and really nice. I love how the story of shadow and lights parallels the actual story of the characters in the sense that they all had their role to play. And i can say that it did good in portraying the shadow and lights plot since the whole season, every problem, every argument is caused by shadow and lights and not in the technical sense, its more on the scenes that happen in shadow and lights are similar to what happen to the actual plot, it also works like the plot of shadow and lights is what needs to happen for the characters and through the show they would be able to achieve what they need to achieve, its like- really connected to the plot. "You are the most important person to me" THIS LINE DROVE ME NUTS, BECAUSE IT WORKS SO WELL WITH OTORI AND HIRAAGI AS WELL AS WITH YUTA. and shy yuta was very beautiful, adorable and ofc the main reason i loved season 2 was Ageha who developed in the best way possible.
Season 3, now this was the big change, since in the first 2 seasons we have the Kao Council being Otori, Hiiragi, Sazanami, Akatsuki and Yuzuriha as well as the former Kao Council. The new Kao Council was a really great group of people, and honestly i loved all of them, each of them had their own character yk? and as much as the other characters are good and nice i loved the writing for Ryo Fuyusawa, I mean first and foremost this is a bias commentary bcs of Saito Soma. But I loved how his main plot point was jealousy then thinking that he was unappreciated, which uh oh, was the complete opposite, I loved it as much as it was typical. And of course I loved the resolve of the second years in performing together and the end OH GOSH THE END WAS SO BEAUTIFUL I MEAN HOW CAN U LISTEN TO THAT AND NOT LOVE IT OH DEAR
it baffles me tho that Ryo committed crimes so yeah theres that loll bye and a last analogy is like
Tatsumi is the star of stars but based on what happened in the 3rd season we can see that his star is Yuta
so Yuta is the star of the star of stars

The Fall
Shadow Games: Chapter One
Lurking in the shadows, behind the scenes of the great events of the galaxy, secret forces are gathering strength. When the time comes, they will strike, and the entire galaxy will tremble.
Tumblr media
Author’s Notes: The following chapter takes place during ‘The False Emperor’ flashpoint. Includes some canon divergent material.
Malgus was falling to his death.
The infamous Sith, the Empire’s champion, the greatest warrior of his generation and – he was certain – very nearly the undisputed leader of a reborn Sith Empire, had known defeat before.
But it was different this time, he knew.
The last few minutes should have been a blur. Yet for Malgus, he remembered every second in excruciating detail.
He had been so close…
The strike team had barged into his throne room while he’d been in the midst of a massive naval battle. If Malgus and his New Empire could crush the Republic fleet in orbit over Ilum, that victory would grant him the credibility and momentum he needed to topple the Dark Council and to finally destroy the Republic once and for all.
The Jedi Barsen'thor, the Commander of Havoc Squad and some meddling smuggler captain and their small entourage – six combatants in total – had engaged two-dozen of his finest soldiers from his new Imperial Guard.
Malgus had ignored these meddlesome individuals. Given sufficient time, he had no doubt he could have wiped them out.
Of greater interest to Malgus had been the presence of Lord Scourge, the personal executioner of his predecessor. For whatever reason, Scourge had conspired against his old Master, had betrayed the Sith Empire, and had no doubt aided the strike team in reaching Malgus’ inner sanctum. The former Emperor’s Wrath was rumored to be three-hundred years old. If he had ever known defeat, it had not been during Malgus’ lifetime. He now – begrudgingly – joined the other six in fighting his guard.
But even this powerful Sith Pureblood was merely a secondary concern to Malgus at this point. It was the eighth member who had drawn his focus.
Halcyon.
This young upstart had bypassed the guards and had come directly at Malgus, an aggressive approach the Sith Warrior had not witnessed from a Jedi in decades. Malgus remembered Halcyon’s victory over Grand Moff Rycus Kilran at the Maelstrom Prison. Although he had eventually turned that fiasco to his advantage, Malgus had nevertheless been impressed with the young Jedi. Halcyon was the immediate threat. Once he had fallen, he could deal with the other interlopers. Once they had fallen, he could deal with the Republic fleet. Once the fleet had fallen, then the galaxy itself would be within his grasp. And if he could claim to have killed the one who had struck down the old Emperor, no one among the Sith would dare challenge him. Malgus had, of course, heard the stories from Dromund Kaas. True or not, those reports were the reason he had stepped up his timetable and claimed the throne.
The Sith Empire required strong leadership, tradition and oaths of loyalty be damned.
The duel with Halcyon had been brief, as Malgus had anticipated. The outcome, however, was unexpected.
Malgus had, years earlier, met and defeated the best the Jedi Order had to offer. Kao Cen Darach, Ven Zallow, Satele Shan – each had been a legendary champion of the light. Darach and Zallow had met their ends by his lightsaber, while Shan had been forced to flee from him at Korriban. Her later victory on Alderaan had only come when Malgus had been distracted by the heroics of some foolish Republic commando. Malgus had never doubted he would have slain the Jedi Grand Master once and for all had they ever met again.
He had gone into the fight with no doubt that he could best this whelp. This upstart. This so-called ‘Hero of Tython’.
He had not anticipated Halcyon’s power. He had not anticipated Halcyon’s skill. He had not anticipated Halcyon to have somehow known Malgus’ own combinations in lightsaber combat and seemed ready to counter them.
He had certainly not anticipated banter. Few Jedi bothered to speak while fighting, and nothing in his reports regarding Halcyon suggested that he was known for distracting opponents with that tactic.
Looking back, Malgus realized only now that he had been set-up.
Halcyon had not fought like Halcyon. He instead had adapted his tactics specifically to challenge Malgus. His maneuvers, his positioning, even his words. And it was clear he had studied the notorious Sith Lord carefully. Just when Malgus believed he had finally gained the upper hand and would slay this Jedi the same way he’d slain Zallow on Coruscant years ago, Halcyon’s left saber had unexpectedly turned, evading the killing stroke and impaling Malgus through the chest. After that, simple momentum had seen the Sith Lord plummet down the reactor shaft even as the station – the dreaded Emperor’s Fortress – had been rocked by a series of explosions as the self-destruct command went into effect.
Only now was it clear to him : Inexplicably, Halcyon had studied Malgus’ fight with Zallow from twelve years prior. He had no idea how, but it was clear the Jedi had carefully prepared himself for this fight, possibly over the course of years.
Enraged though he was by this realization, part of Malgus felt impressed.
Perhaps this end had all been of his own making. Perhaps a generation of Jedi and Republic defenders born into the horrors of the Great Galactic War were prepared to do what their predecessors could not. Perhaps Malgus himself had helped create Halcyon and his ilk. The resolve of this generation of so-called Republic champions was profound.
Perhaps that would be Malgus’ true legacy. Not in forging a new Empire, but in forging Republic ‘heroes’ who were not plagued by the weaknesses of their fellows.
It was a strange thought. Appropriate only in the moment of one’s death.
And then – suddenly – there was nothing. He wasn’t falling any longer, nor had he collided with the reactor.
Malgus instead found himself plunged into darkness. He might have wondered if he had finally died. The pain was the only indicator that he still lived.
For the first time in his life, he felt weak. Even the injuries he had suffered on Alderaan that had damaged his lungs had been nowhere this severe.
And then, unexpectedly, a voice cut through the darkness.
“Rest, Lord Malgus.” The woman’s voice slithered over him like a snake’s skin. “Our master still has need of you, even now. Though it may take us years to rebuild you, you will rise again.”
Malgus attempted to answer. To demand his rescuer identify themselves. But unconsciousness was rising to swallow him.
“And on that day, your true service can begin.”
Author’s Notes: Those of you who’ve read the novel Deceived are aware that Malgus’ duel against Ven Zallow on Coruscant – the subject of the original SWTOR trailer – was recorded by Teeseven. If you think Corellan hasn’t watched it dozens of times, then you don’t know Corellan.
In terms of the showdown with Malgus, I head-canon that each of my four OCs brought one companion with them while the others secured the hangar for their escape. Ulannium Kaarz brought Qyzen Fess, Bas’riish brought Bowdarr, Illaynah Antilles brought Elara Dorne and Corellan – obviously – brought Scourge. More about all that another time.
More on the voice in the darkness in future chapters of this series. We won’t be seeing Malgus again for a while, but we will be seeing much more of her.
Also - This is a screenshot of the actual reaction shaft:

The lightsabers of Aidi Procyon, Jedi Knight in the time of the Galactic War.
Aidi Procyon constructed at least four lightsabers in her lifetime. Her first, constructed on Tython under the instruction of Master Orgus Din, draws its primary influences from its time, and therefore is relatively standard for the Cold War period.
Tumblr media
The asymmetrical emmiter design, while somewhat during the Great Galactic war and the early years of the Cold War, was more-or-less phased out by the time of the Galactic War in favor of more balanced and “flat” designs, such as the saberstaff of Grandmaster Satele Shan. Her decision to use an asymmetrical emitter could be considered slightly “retro,” mimicking designs like that of Shan’s Master, Kao Cen Darach.
Tumblr media
The blue blade color is of no particular interest, as blue was the standard for Jedi Knights of the time and indeed throughout the order’s history.
Her second lightsaber was constructed a number of years after her Promotion to Jedi Knight, just after the beginning of the Galactic War.
Tumblr media
Far more radical in its design than her first, this lightsaber was designed as an offhand weapon. It was used often in reverse grip, though its standard blade length was 32 inches, and the placement of the switch near the rear of the hilt reflects this.
This decision marks a radical switch in Procyon’s lightsaber form - from Form II, Makashi, to Form IV, Ataru. Though she never fully adopted the style, Ataru (and by extension its sister form, Jar’Kai) became the main focus of her training, perhaps for its strength on the open battlefields that became so common during the Galactic War.
Tumblr media
Other notable features of this lightsaber include the belt ring - fairly outdated by this period, as various magnetic grips and specially designed belt pouches were so common, but another of those “retro” flairs that Procyon seemed to favor - and its green blade. Green was far from uncommon in Jedi Knights, but was in those days typically associated with the Consular for its relative lack of presence in the force. Therefore, it was generally associated with experience, and many Jedi constructed a second, green lightsaber upon their promotion to Jedi Master.
While Procyon was not a Jedi Master when she constructed this lightsaber, she may have considered herself to be taking the mantle of her Master, Orgus Din, killed in combat by Darth Angral before the war began.
Soon after she built her second lightsaber, Procyon embarked on a mission to destroy the Emperor of the Sith Empire. She succeeded, and shortly thereafter defeated his successor, Emperor Malgus, at the Battle of Ilum. She was promoted to the rank of Jedi Master, and then, only a month later, abruptly left her life as a Jedi and seemingly vanished from existence.
Many historians have theorized her reasons for her self-exile, some citing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - two major battles with the greatest sith lords of their time almost back-to-back were nothing to sneeze at - while others point out a long-growing dissatisfaction with the Jedi Order evidenced in spotty personal logs referring to her relationship with Doctor Archiban Froderick Kimble. Close romantic relationships were, after all, prohibited by the Jedi Council at the time.
Whatever her reasons, Procyon vanished along with Kimble in the year 3641 BBY, shortly after her defeat of Darth Malgus and subsequent promotion to Jedi Master. Her lightsabers were left in the care of Jedi Knight Kira Carsen, who, despite rather rigorous interrogation by the council, refused to disclose any knowledge of Master Procyon’s whereabouts or motives. She was permitted to keep the lightsabers, and they remained in her collection until her death in 3501 BBY.
Procyon would not be seen again until over 150 years later, on the rim world of Alhanore, a small agrarian moon notable only for its proximity to the terminus of the Corellian Run. Though little is known of her life in between, the Seeker Zazl Ignari - who discovered Procyon very near the end of her life - eventually chronicled what remained of her personal logs in the Jedi Library. Most of the logs were philisophical and spiritual musings, but a few - particularly her account of Kimble’s death - lead us to believe that she spent the majority of her life traveling the Mid and Outer Rim, taking odd jobs for survival and settling disputes with her remaining authority as a Jedi.
The last lightsabers she constructed greatly resemble each other, and are believed to have been build as a pair. They were likely build a long time after her exile, as many of the components - including the exposed crystal stasis chamber in the mainhand lightsaber - rely on technologies that only came about much later. They are also notable for the abandonment of the asymmetrical emitter design in favor of a more typical flat emitter, as well as convection vents to allow for the high-heat amber crystal blade.
Tumblr media
The mainhand lightsaber is very long - nearly 35cm for the hilt alone, and 130cm including the almost meter-long blade - and unlike most lightsabers, the grip is positioned quite far back on the hilt, which extends its reach even further. This is a dueling saber, one built on the principles of Makashi and Niman, intended to be just as effective alone as with its partner. While we do not know much of Procyon’s form during this period, it can be assumed that she mostly abandoned the Ataru-heavy technique she utilized during the Galactic War in favor of one more subtle.
Tumblr media
The offhand lightsaber is not particularly short, just slightly shorter than her first saber at 28cm, with a standard blade bringing its total length to about 110cm. This is distinct from the standard form of Jar’Kai, where either the offhand or both sabers are shortened to allow the blades to more effectively move around each other. It is therefore theorized that this blade was not utilized often, and when it was, it might have encouraged a sweeping style that greatly prized proper distancing and control of the opponent’s movements.
Tumblr media
Both lightsabers use a rare high-heat amber crystal that was found exclusively in the crystal caves of Dantooine (it has since been exhausted, probably some time during the New Sith Wars.). The crystal was not used often in lightsabers due to its tendency to overheat and otherwise produce an unstable blade. However, when used in tandem with the magnetic convection vents found in the emitter, as well as a heavily modified power cycling system, Procyon’s lightsabers are able to produce a relatively stable blade that functions at a much higher heat than normal lightsabers.
The upside to this high-heat blade is a slightly improved cutting speed on very sturdy materials such as Durasteel. It has no greater effect on lightsaber-resistant materials like Mandalorian Iron, phrik, or cortosis. The downsides are more numerous: the hilt heats up quickly, requiring convection vents to be built into the pommel, emitter, and crystal chamber of the saber; it is more vulnerable to shorting out during prolonged contact with other lightsabers, and on contact with cortosis; it is less conducive to the light side of the force, and therefore has a reduced ability to deflect force lightning.
Why Procyon chose such an unstable type of crystal is unknown - nothing of the weapon’s creation is written in her personal logs, nor is anything written of its use. The lightsabers lay buried with their wielder, on a hill nearby that same village on Alhanore.

Starmyu S3 episode 12 review
I can't believe starmyu just ended ;w; Someone please tell me there's going to be an OVA or another season because I refuse to accept we're not going to ever see starmyu again.
For me, the best thing this season was hoshitani's and tatsumi's friendship and their character development. Hoshitani has matured quite a bit and tatsumi is more open about his feelings. He also seems to be having much more fun than before. I also enjoyed quite a lot the occasional appearances of the previous Kao Council members! Shiki is my fave among the new characters, though, I think that's quite obvious XD I fell for his charm the first time I saw him bicker with hoshitani haha I liked how he wasn't afraid of saying what's on his mind and how he kept on teasing hoshitani. I later learned that he shares a lot of similarities with otori (and with hoshitani, too) and that behind that confident smile was a more fragile person than I had imagined. Despite that, he tries his best to overcome his weaknesses and to remain positive no matter how bad the situation is. This episode also proved shiki can be quite reckless when he wants.

(no seriously, why would you jump out of a building? And what's with those feathers? XD)
I don't know how to feel about this episode, if I am completely honest. On one hand, I absolutely loved the music and team hiragi's & team otori's (+ the others) performance. On the other hand, too many things happened in a single episode, so it's hard to focus on one thing. And while I am happy fuyusawa and shiki made up, I wish they had talked a bit more. Things were resolved too easily. Although I understand that since this was the last episode, they couldn't afford to spend so much time on them. The 2nd years also deserved to have the spotlight, after all.
I feel that the issue with "traditions" was kind of glossed over towards the end. I am glad all 14 members of the musical department (well, minus team akatsuki and the other members of team yuzuriha and team sazanami) were able to become part of the Kao Council, but I can't help but feel it was too easy. Did the school accept it without complaining? I am not going to complain too much since I love starmyu and I want this review to focus on more positive things, but I personally find it a bit strange that after all the drama about the school being strict with maintaining traditions (this problem lasted for 3 seasons), they are now suddenly very welcoming of changes. Especially big changes such as this one. It's kind of hard to believe. I wish the anime had shown us how this happened or at the very least, that they had spent more time showing us how the Kao Council came to this decision and what happened to all the members. What is going to become of shiki, fuyusawa, kasugano, irinatsu and chiaki? They were this season main characters (more so than hoshitani and the rest) and I feel that there's still a lot we don't know about them and a lot that was left unsaid. Maybe it's better than to keep on talking about their conflicts, but I can't help but feel the ending is a bit rushed.
However, despite my complaints I did love this episode very much! Now I’ll talk about the things I liked:
- Team hiragi and team otori + ageha and hachiya + nanjo and kitahara. That’s it XD
- Kuga worrying about hoshitani and not letting him look for shiki alone

If there is one thing that changed this season is that team otori and the others no longer expect hoshitani to solve everything by himself. They have always been very supportive of hoshitani, however, most of the times hoshitani did something, he was generally alone or with only one other person (the person he was going to help or who was helping him). The others agreed with him, but didn’t necessarily accompany him when he was about to do something. There’s a reason why hoshitani is called “miracle hoshitani”, if the others were always with him, it would have been unfair for hoshitani to take all the credit for the “miracles” that took place. How do I say this… they still have high expectations of hoshitani and they still go along with what he wants to do, but they now follow hoshitani when he’s about to do something. Also, hoshitani is no longer the only one to actively try to help others. For example, tatsumi tried several times to understand fuyusawa and to help him one way or another. Kitahara and ageha (+ tatsumi) also started taking their role as leaders more seriously and accompanied hoshitani talk to the Kao Council members several times. Hoshitani no longer has to bear all the responsibility for the “company”. Also, let’s not forget it was inumine who proposed the idea of making the Kao Council members part of their company.
- Hoshitani and otori meeting. Otori cheering on hoshitani. Otori holding hoshitani’s hand. EVERYTHING.
