Benefits of Hand Crafted Soy Wax Nature Scent Candles
One of the most possible natural waxes can be derived from a bean known as soya. It is a naturally available soya bean plant from which the wax can be derived. The wax itself can be extracted from further processing the soya-bean oil. Soy wax has many advantages over a paraffin wax. It is
1. Environmental friendly
2. Renewable resource
3. Less “Soot” disposed after burning
4. Strong and lasting scent
5. Burns slower than a normal paraffin wax
The process of making natural soy wax may be a bit longer than paraffin wax, but these advantages prove to be overpowering the fact of it. The process of extraction of a soy wax is natural as compared to a paraffin wax as it is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. According to many studies using a fragrance scented candle made out of soy wax calms your mind and nerves with its therapeutic properties. Not only that, most of the candles made out of paraffin emit black smoke or soot while burning, hand poured soy candles burn clean and result in lower soot.
Nature scent candle made out of soy wax are vividly fragrant and lasts for a much longer period. ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Hi there! *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Going to bed can be reeeeally hard for me, and I know it’s hard for a lot of other regressors too. One thing that really helps for me is a soothing drink in a sippy or bottle! Soooo- here are some yummy bedtime milk recipes!
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I don’t have a cg to make these, but if you have one feel free to share this list with them. If not, that’s okay too! I make these myself all the time, just remember to ALWAYS be careful with hot tools and liquids in the kitchen. <3
also, if you can’t have dairy (like me!) just replace these with whatever milk alternative you use. I use soy milk and it’s yummy! :P
also-also, most of these recipes reference using a sippy or bottle. However, if you don’t have or don’t use those, they taste just as good in a mug!
Onto the recipes!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚Classic Angel Milk˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Angel milk is a classic for regressors, and it’s so easy to make! It’s also a great base for other recipes. You can add a little bit of cinnamon or nutmeg too if you’d like!
Ingredients:
Milk
Sugar
Vanilla extract
Steps:
Fill your sippy or bottle with milk.
Add one to three tablespoons of sugar, it’s up to taste!
Add a little splash of vanilla extract. You only need a tiny bit, it’s very strong!
Microwave until warm!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚Chamomile Angel Milk˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
This one is my own recipe! Chamomile is an herb that naturally helps our bodies get sleepy, and it smells comforting to me. Be careful though, because this one uses hot water!
note: you can replace the chamomile with other herbal teas for different uses! this recipe with ginger tea is great for littles with upset tummies.
Ingredients:
Water
Chamomile tea bag
Milk
Sugar (or honey)
Vanilla extract
Steps:
Boil some water. Careful, it’s hot!
Carefully pour about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of hot water into a mug, and place a single chamomile tea bag into that water. Cover with a plate and let steep for about 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, remove the tea bag and squeeze out the extra liquid (use a fork if it’s too hot). Pour the super strong tea into the bottom of your bottle or sippy.
Add milk to the tea and fill up the bottle, and then follow steps 2-4 of the angel milk recipe!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚Caramel Milk˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
This one might require a caregiver’s help! If you don’t have a caregiver just be very careful, maybe use oven mitts and don’t do this if you’re feeling extra tiny.
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
3-4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon butter
Steps:
Add the sugar and butter to a small pan over medium heat. As the butter melts, stir it to combine with the sugar.
Microwave the milk until it’s warm. Don’t add it yet though!
Caramelize the sugar: cook to a nice amber color. Be careful not to let it burn! If you want the caramel flavor to be less intense just cook it to a slightly lighter color than amber.
When the sugar is ready, remove it from heat.
Add your milk in a steady stream as you stir. The sugar will seize up and there will be sizzling, but keep stirring.
Place back on stovetop over low heat. Make sure you don't boil the milk!
Keep stirring until all of the caramelized sugar is melted into the milk.
Pour your milk! Any leftover milk can go in the fridge.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚Banana Milk˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
This one is a cold drink, and using the blender might be dangerous if you’re feeling too tiny!
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana, sliced or broken into pieces
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey, or sugar
A small drop of vanilla extract
Steps:
Put all ingredients into a blender and combine until smooth. That’s it! If you have sensory issues like me you can pour it through a strainer to make sure it’s completely smooth, but it’s usually fine. Serve immediately!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚Now for the extra tiny ones˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Besides the angel milk, several of these can be kind of risky to do on your own! I definitely know that when I’m feeling extra small, working with hot stuff or appliances can be dangerous. Luckily, if angel milk gets boring, Nesquik comes to the rescue!
I just fill up my sippy and add some of the Nesquik (or any other milk flavoring powder) and then shake it up! The chocolate is good hot or cold. My favorite is probably the banana though, although it’s hard to find. The strawberry is good too!
Stay safe little ones, and sweet dreams! If you drink any of these before bed, try to brush your teeths before you go to sleep if possible. <3

okay so the recipe for my grandma’s ginger braised beef heart for those who asked follows thusly.
1. slice 2lbs of beef heart into thin, but two inch long strips (or however you like them) and once your beef is all cut, pour in enough white alcohol (i use rice wine but whatever works) to coat the beef and toss. let it sit for 10 minutes to remove any mùi tanh/off flavors. rinse your meat and pat dry after 10 minutes.
2. mince half a head of garlic (or not, sometimes my grandma doesn’t add garlic lol) and julienne your ginger root (you’re gonna need like one entire ginger root that’s the size of your hand AND another half, so 1.5 hands (?) of ginger. also, you can just wash it really well, not peel it, and cut it into chunky slices if you don’t wanna eat the actual pieces of ginger lol)
3. add just enough oil to coat the bottom of a stew pot, make sure half of that oil is sesame oil (not a precise measurement i know that’s just how we do it) heat your pot on a medium flame
4. add like 6 tablespoons of sugar to your oil once it’s heated up, stir constantly to avoid burning, you are making what’s called “nước màu”/caramel. keep an eagles eye on your sugar, it’ll start melting into a white goo, then clear, then brown. keep on stirring constantly and making sure you have your meat within reach because this can burn so easily. (u can look up nước màu on youtube or tiktok for a visual explanation lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. once it’s a deep brown (or even a brownish red if you’re feeling racy) add your beef, ginger, and garlic into the pot and stir vigorously. you may want to wear a long sleeve shirt while cooking this because nước màu is known to spit hot oil lol.
6. once the beef has been evenly coated in your caramel and all the surfaces of the beef have been seared, add in 5 dashes of soy sauce, and like 5 dashes of fish sauce. and mix. you should open up a window or your back door at this point because the fragrance will be intense lol.
7. once the natural liquid that leeched out from your beef heart and your seasonings has almost completely evaporated, add in enough coconut water to submerge your beef. if you don’t have coconut water, plain water is more than fine, because your caramel sauce has already added a good sweetness to the beef. (vietnamese people from the southwestern region like my grandma like their food a bit sweet lol) or, if you so please, you can add in unsalted beef broth!
8. add dried chilies (or don’t), add 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder (or don’t, it doesn’t add that much flavor it adds a fragrance and a color), turn the heat up to high and cover.
9. once it comes to a boil, turn the heat down to a medium flame and keep it covered for like 20mins. after 20mins, uncover so the juices can reduce.
10. now when to turn off the fire is a matter of preference, do you like your beef heart to be crunchy like me? try a piece of beef like 5 mins after you uncover the pot (and also add more fish sauce to taste) id recommend you just try pieces as it cooks so u can find the texture that’s perfect for you. if you like it soft, leave it on a medium flame (and you can re-cover it) until it’s soft. but 2 minutes before you turn off the fire, you can add in fresh sliced peppers if you want (whatever you have on hand, birds eye chilies are typical but i like adding jalapeños for freshness)
11. once it’s almost at the texture you like, add in a corn starch slurry to thicken it and add in as much freshly cracked black pepper as you like. after 2 minutes turn off the flame. done!!

"Ko?"
"Yeah?" Komaeda tilts his head, basket in hand, as you throw the blanket out.
"You locked the car, right?"
"Yeah." He nods. "Promise."
He helps you hit pin the blanket down, and the two of you sit in the field as Komaeda unpacks the basket.
You kick your legs as he places everything down, the sandwiches, chips, snacks. Komaeda opens his own food, digging in as you open your bento.
"Itadakimasu!" The two of you grin as you dig in.
Komaeda prefers sandwiches. He likes lighter foods, you find. You made most of them light on the palate just for him. You wouldn't want him to have a bad time. You pull a parfait from the bottom of the basket, popping the lid off.
"Did you make everything?"
"Mhm," You press the spoon to your lips, a grin on your face. "You don't like sweets."
"Yeah."
"Which is why everything is so light."
"Ah." Komaeda pauses. "Just for me?"
"Just for you," You grin.
Komaeda flushes, eating his sandwich again, head spinning. How lucky was he... surely a natural disaster would strike next. Almost as if it were planned, a girl's ice cream flies across the field, making way for Komaeda's face. You pull out an umbrella almost out of nowhere, and you block it before it can hit him, reaching behind him with the umbrella, chest in his face.
"Th-thank you," Komaeda laughs, and you grin at him, caging him in, the ice cream melting down.
"I'm sorry!" The father rushes up. "She tripped while getting ice cream. You two are alright, right?"
"Yes," You grin, putting the umbrella to the side to dry. "Don't worry about it. We're kind of used to it."
Komaeda puts his bento to the side, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you onto his chest, his back hitting the grass. He lets out a little 'oof' as you land in his chest, and you roll to the side, staring up at the sun.
"This is terrible for our eyes."
"I know."
You yawn, blinking at the sky before sitting up to continue eating your parfait. Komaeda opens his mouth for a bite, and you feed him.
"Ko, oh Ko..." You mumble.
"Yeah?"
"I'm so in love with you..." You mumble, blinking at him slowly. "I'm in love with you."
"Please," Komaeda whines, rolling to the side, hiding his face.
You giggle. "Embarrassed?"
Komaeda sits up, putting his bento back on his lap, picking up his chopsticks again. "Yeah."
You finish the parfait, closing the lid, and digging through the picnic basket for something else.
"Did we forget something?"
"No," You mumble. "I realized you didn't put sunscreen on."
"Right.. I forgot," Komaeda laughs awkwardly. "Am I turning red?"
"I'm just worried," You pull out the bar, reaching to straddle him, popping the lid off the bar, hand pressed to his cheek to hold his face in place. Komaeda closes his eyes as you do, putting his bento to the side while humming quietly as you even out the sunscreen.
"arms."
Komaeda stretches out an arm for you.
"Pretty, pretty," You mumble. "So pretty."
Komaeda flushes as you press kisses before you run the stick up his body. He's not used to it. You do it every time, almost as if you were ignoring the stares from everyone else, spoiling him in your own little world. He doesn't deserve it, he doesn't think, but who is he to turn you down? You just love him so much.
You finish with the sunscreen, a grin on your face. "Now you're safe."
"Thank you, angel," Komaeda presses a kiss to your cheek, lips barely grazing it.
"Mhm," You grin. "How's the food?"
"Delicious." Komaeda grins. "The bento is great so far."
"That's good!" You peel open a sandwich, going back to eating as Komaeda stares up at the clouds.
"That one looks like Monokuma."
"Don't remind me of Junko's bear," You frown. "That one looks like Usami."
"That one looks like Cham-p."
"I'm willing to bet that one looks like a guitar."
"That one looks like Sonia."
"Oooh, so true," You mumble, sandwich in hand. "That one looks like Gundham's dog."
"Yeah..." Komaeda mumbles, going back to his bento and taking moments to stare up at the clouds you were looking at. "I wonder if my blue is the same blue as yours."
"Even if it isn't, isn't it lovely that we still love the same colors?" You grin. "And we love the same people."
"Yes," Komaeda grins at you. "It's beautiful."
"Of course it is." You match his grin, sun shining behind you. "Because it's with you."
"Mhm."

Feather In The Wind (Valentine's Day Special 2024)
The first Valentine’s Day that Dabi spends with the Paranormal Liberation Front is a peaceful one- at least compared to what he’s used to. After a childhood full of pain and trauma- ruined holidays and cold nights spent outside pushing himself to the edge with his individual training while his father ignored him in favor of abusing Shouto- being in his own large, lavish room within the confines of the base is… Interesting, to say the least.
There’s no booming yells reverberating through the walls, no ashes or burn marks on the floor, no slaps echoing through the hallway. His old family is dead and gone to him, instead replaced by Toga who barged into his room with Twice just over an hour ago to share a sushi dinner with him on his bed.
He isn’t sure he considers the members of what was once the League of Villains a family or even a group of friends, but they’re people who share his ideologies, and they love him more than anyone else ever has. So, when they come knocking at his door with dinner to make sure he’s fed, he doesn’t deny them, nor does he rush them out. He figures there’s no better way to spend the day of love than with the few people who truly love him. That’s why it’s nearly past two in the morning by the time they finally fuck off and leave Dabi with the takeout container trash and a soy sauce stain on his wrinkled bedsheets.
It’s a quiet night, so Dabi finds himself going out to the balcony with a cigarette in hand. He lights it with his quirk and lets out a sigh as the cold air consumes him. Snowflakes fall over him in quick succession, melting on his hot skin and clothing, leaving him damp but still warm due to the insulating nature of his quirk. He takes a few long drags from his cigarette and watches the smoke he blows out puff up in the frosty air.
The base that they all stay in is a large tower that oversees the rest of Deika City. It’s a quiet and peaceful town with most of the members being part of the liberation front. They go to bed early most nights so they can wake up even earlier come morning to train for the cause… Dabi almost wonders if the gullible grunts Re-Destro and Shigaraki have gathered and molded are just as bad as the society of heroes they’re fighting against. They blindly follow their grand commander, not questioning his authority or morals, blindly agreeing with everything he says even when it’s not in their best interest. Dabi supposes he’s not much better, though. He’s never agreed with Shigaraki’s morals a hundred percent, but he’s never dared call the man out- especially now with his newfound power, he and this organization could end Dabi in a heartbeat.
It doesn’t matter, anyway, Dabi supposes. While Shigaraki is going mad with power and while his objective becomes more and more questionable by the day, they both want the same thing in the end; to destroy heroes and the terrible society they’ve made since their manifestation.
He isn’t sure why he bothers. His life has been a living hell for a long time and soon enough, he’s going to go up in flames like the rest- probably by his own doing… Hopefully by his own doing. Dabi laughs to himself, mulling over it all. Then, something small comes into view. At first, he thinks it may be a piece of trash or even some sort of animal, but it gets closer until he makes out the familiar shape.
Dabi blinks and burns his cigarette out, abandoning it on the floor of the balcony so he can narrow his turquoise eyes at the red feather that’s just landed on the railing. Is it a coincidence? No, it must be from Hawks. It’s too large to be from a bird. But what does it mean? Is it a signal? A warning? Some sort of fucked up joke? He’s well aware that the pro hero frequently uses his feathers for spy work and wonders if he should light the damn thing on fire, but then he sees something else in the distance- no, someone, and he quickly puts together who it is.
Hawks is flying towards him in a downward trajectory. At least three fourths of his feathers are gone and some of the ones remaining on his left wing are singed at the ends. His jacket isn’t over his shoulders despite the freezing temperatures, instead balled up in his hands and pushed up against his abdomen. The blond’s whole outfit is tattered and there’s blood on his hands and face as he weakly flutters towards the tower.
After what feels like forever, Hawks gets close enough that he’s hovering about ten meters above the balcony. A harsh gust of wind seems to knock the last of Hawks’s energy out of him and send his body falling down to where Dabi’s standing.
Part of Dabi wants to tell the poor bastard to get fucked and go inside so he can enjoy the rest of his  night, but before he can think better of what is arguably a poor decision for him to make, he finds himself reaching out and catching the pro hero in his arms. Hawks crashes into him with a pained groan, wrapping an arm around Dabi’s neck. His wings have given out and he’s too weak to do anything else, so Dabi wraps both arms around him in return to support his weight.
“...Hawks,” Dabi breathes out, too shocked by Hawks’s entrance to say much else. He drags the man inside through the screen door of his suite before the two of them can be caught outside like this by Shigaraki or any of the other lieutenants, locking the door behind them and quickly glancing out the glass of the door to make sure they haven’t been seen. A quick sigh of relief falls from between his lips when he realizes that no one was outside or nearby, but that relief is replaced by confusion the second he notices Hawks is too weak to walk as well. “What-?”
“I… I didn’t know,” Hawks starts, voice raspy. There’s clearly something wrong aside from the basic injuries and exhaustion that are already apparent. Dabi thinks he may have to press for that information as he sets Hawks down to sit on the edge of his bed, only for Hawks to pull his crumpled up jacket off of where he’s been holding it against his stomach to reveal a massive burn wound. It’s ghastly and large, just on the left side of his abdomen, bleeding and fresh. It looks like there’s shards of varying sizes in it, perhaps shrapnel from an explosive or some sort of weapon-based quirk. “I mean, where else could I have gone? You’re not my first choice, but you were nearby and I’m sure this is your area of expertise.”
“You could’ve gone literally anywhere but here… And you chose to come here to Deika city,” Dabi sighs. On top of soy sauce stains, he’s also going to have blood stains on his sheets. That’s going to be a fun lie to come up with if anyone sees his room before he has the chance to wash them… Huffing, the white-haired man goes into his connected bathroom and grabs the first aid supplies. Thankfully, he’s so used to burning himself from overdoing it with his quirk that he has to treat second and third degree burns regularly. When he returns, he sets the supplies on the edge of the bed and glares down at Hawks. “First aid isn’t exactly my forte, dumbass. Best case scenario, you’re going to lose a ton of blood. Worst case scenario, you’re going to die of an infection in a few days.”
“Calm down,” Hawks says with a dismissive wave. “I trust you. You know that.”
“That’s bullshit,” Dabi points out, because truth be told, their relationship is complicated. Hawks may or may not have killed Best Jeanist and brought him to be turned into a Nomu- that much is true, but if Dabi is anything, it’s a good judge of character. He’s well aware that while the other man isn’t completely brainwashed like a lot of the other pro-heroes, he’s at least misguided and intent on staying complicit in allowing them to continue upholding their vile hero-centered society. On the other side of things, Dabi knows that Hawks understands him as well, and that they can’t truly be friends let alone anything more than that… At least they shouldn’t be. Yet, they both frequently toe the line of what is and isn’t appropriate for a relationship that’s supposedly based around their work. “And even if it weren’t… Neither of us should trust each other.”
“Just try your best,” Hawks shrugs.
“Fine. Take off any of the clothes covering your injuries and lie down,” Hawks does as instructed, removing his clothes painstakingly slow for someone who’s supposed to be having a dire medical crisis. First, his shattered visor and headphones, then his boots, followed by his socks, then his tattered shirt and pants. The only things left on are jewelry and his boxers as he lies down on the end of Dabi’s bed. Dabi sits beside Hawks’s left hip on the mattress, his first aid kit in hand. His eyes flicker between the bloody jacket on the floor and Hawks’s injury. “Be prepared for this shit to hurt like hell.”
“Whatever happens happens.”
With that, Dabi gets to work.
“Oh, yeah, because that’s exactly what I need right now- a dead hero on my hands.”
“Think of it this way; I’m sure Shigaraki has explicitly ordered you not to kill me despite your suspicions about my loyalty to the cause, so now you have extra motivation to keep me alive.”
“Tch, fine,” Dabi rolls his eyes for what feels like the millionth time that night as he puts a pair of gloves from his first aid kit on. He rinses Hawks’s wound with saline and dampens some gauze with the same solution. “Only for you would I keep a pro-hero in my god damn bedroom…”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Hawks shakily replies with a wince.
“Nothing, just know that you’ve only got tonight. You try to mooch off of me any longer than that and I’m kicking your sorry ass out of here.”
“Fine, fine.”
An awkward silence falls upon them. Dabi continues to work, slowly but surely, packing the wound to the best of his ability. Part of him wonders if he should’ve recruited Toga- she wouldn’t rat him out for keeping Hawks here, and she would certainly be much better at tending to the hero’s injury, but part of Dabi wants to be the only one to do this for Hawks. Dabi’s mind races; why would Hawks come here, will he be okay, what does this sort of intimate interaction mean for them, what if Shigaraki finds out about this, and most importantly-
“Who did this to you?”
“Huh?” Hawks blinks, seemingly baffled by the question. “Why do you care?”
“Just tell me who did this to you,” Dabi demands. “I want to know.”
“Tch, what are you gonna do? Kill ‘em?”
Dabi feels his cheeks burn red. In order to keep himself from meeting Hawks’s eyes, he focuses on the wound a little more than he needs to, paying extra attention and being especially gentle with how he covers the packing job. Just to be safe, he tapes an extra layer of gauze over it and pulls out some tape bandages.
“Maybe,” Dabi answers, perhaps a little slower than he should for it to be believable. “Now sit up so I can finish up.”
“Since when do you care so much?”
“Does it really matter? I assume you were trying to capture whoever it was anyways.”
“Yeah, I was trying to apprehend her to turn into the police, not kill her,” Hawks says. He tenses as he forces himself to sit up straight despite the evident pain that’s telling him not to. “Don’t tell me… You’re upset that I’m hurt?”
“So what if I am? You rocked up to my place at two in the morning on Valentine’s Day expecting me to play nurse- I think I have the right to be just a little pissed,” Dabi retorts, wrapping the tape bandages around Hawks’s mid-section to fully cover the wound on his side.
“I’m surprised you’re keeping me here… And that you helped me in the first place,” Hawks sighs and lays back on the bed as soon as Dabi finishes. Against his better judgment, Dabi joins him. The two men lie on their backs, staring up at the ceiling, side by side, far closer than two friends- two enemies- two comrades, should be. Hawks turns his head so he can look at Dabi, and while Dabi doesn’t return the heated stare, he can most certainly feel it burning holes into him. “Why?”
“Because it’s you,” He whispers before he can think better of it. Dabi, usually so calm and so collected, feels himself falling apart. He reaches out to hold Hawks’s hand. Everything that follows is nothing but uncharacteristically impassioned word vomit. “And I don’t know what it is about you that I like so much, but I couldn’t just let you fall and snap your neck or crack your pretty little head open on my balcony.”
“Heh, you like me?” Hawks teases, intertwining their fingers and giving Dabi’s palm an affectionate squeeze.
“It’s not like that,” Dabi raises his voice and snatches his hand away. Briefly, he wonders if this was a mistake. “Are you laughing at me?”
“Yeah? So what if I am? What are you gonna do about it? I’m already injured as it is- you’d have to tear a limb off or kill me for things to be any worse than they are now.”
“You’re annoying.”
“Thanks for this…” Hawks responds. Dabi looks over to see the man smiling at him. “I owe you one.”
“No shit. Seriously, why’d you come here in the first place? Even if you were nearby, let’s not pretend that your injury was life-threatening enough to make you desperate.”
“Would you believe me if I told you that I don’t have anyone else?”
“Really? No family? None of your pro hero friends? No fan girls to spend the day of love with?”
“No,” Hawks answers. He rolls onto his uninjured side- into Dabi- and places a hand on his chest. Dabi freezes at the touch. “I’m not very close with my family and my ‘pro hero friends’ aren’t my friends, they’re my coworkers. The fan girls are… A little much, too. It’s not smart to get attached to any of them.”
“And yet you’re attached to me? Or, attached to me enough that you felt safe coming here, even knowing who I am and what I’m capable of.”
“I didn’t say that I was attached to you at all, Dabi. Don’t put words in my mouth.”
“But it’s obvious,” Dabi points out. “Just like I’m attached to you… You wouldn’t have come here and trusted me to help you like this if you didn’t feel something for me.”
“And you would’ve let me crash on your balcony and die in the freezing cold or ratted me out to Shigaraki and the others if you didn’t feel the same way.”
“So, what? Does that make us friends now? I know you’ve been trying to get buddy-buddy with me for a while. I bet you’re real happy now.”
“Friends? Let’s not pretend it’s that easy,” Hawks says with a sardonic laugh. “We both know it’s not.”
“Does it matter?”
“I guess not. We both know how this ends, anyway.”
“Then don’t argue semantics with me, you prick.”
And for a moment, the two men share a glance; a moment of peace wherein there’s no hero and no villain, no war, no anything or anyone but the two of them. Gold burns into icy blue. Dabi assumed he’d lost his heart long ago, but he’s sure it skips a beat when he feels Hawks’s calloused hand over it through his clothes.
“Dabi?” Hawks starts, love and adoration radiating off of him in potent waves that make Dabi nauseous.
Dabi reaches over to place a hand on top of Hawks’s.
“Yeah?”
“What are we after this?”
“...I think we both know the answer to that,” Dabi says, because he knows deep down that this won’t work. It never could. They don’t have a chance. Putting a label on this would just upset them even more when it inevitably has to end. “Let’s not make this more complicated than this needs to be… I mean, let’s just enjoy each other while we can.”
“Right. I guess we shouldn’t let this change anything… Well, aside from the obvious, that is. Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page! I’d hate for you to catch feelings and-”
Annoyed by Hawks’s bluffing, Dabi interjects.
“I never said that I hadn’t caught feelings, you idiot; just that we shouldn’t label whatever it is that we are,” Dabi rolls over to face away from Hawks. He’s unsurprised when Hawks scoots closer and tosses an arm over his waist. “You better be out of here by the time I wake up tomorrow.”
“Trust me, Dabi, you won’t even know I was here in the first place.”
Dabi scoffs and closes his eyes, unable to shake the uneasiness that comes with someone holding him so sweetly. And, for a moment before he drifts off into sleep, Dabi briefly wonders if this is what love- or friendship, or whatever the hell this is- is supposed to feel like, like someone trusting you to take care of them and offering you affection in return, like the scent of burnt skin and blood and sweat lingering on his bedsheets.
When he wakes up the following afternoon, Dabi is so groggy that he almost forgets what occurred the night before until he sees red splotches on his bedding. He glances over at the other side of the bed to see that it’s empty, but that there’s still a few strands of blond hair left behind on one of the pillows. Then, he rolls out of bed so he can check the bathroom and balcony.
As he expected, Hawks kept a promise for once and left before Dabi woke up. Disappointment threatens to wash over, but at the very least, Hawks was kind enough to leave a red feather on the balcony. Dabi steps outside and picks it up before the winter wind can blow it away, a fond smile threatening to take over his lips as he takes it in, knowing that Hawks will be back soon enough.
What a beautiful Valentine’s Day gift.

Our shop is back open now (after almost a year of being on hiatus)! There's a whole explanation over there about what's been going on with us (spoiler alert: it's nothing good :P) but we figured with a shop that's staying in one heckin' place, we'd reintroduce you to all of the scents in our lineup! :D
This was our first official candle way back in 2017: Running Out of Apples and it is inspired by the indie horror game Layers of Fear! Despite the name, the scent is a mixture of apple and rose.
This candle is an 8oz. glass jelly jar with a pewter daisy cut lid and has a cotton/paper wick. All of our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, are handmade and are poured in very small batches. You can find Running Out of Apples and others over at Waxing Sky Studios!
Also, in the near future we'll have wax melts of all of our scents as well as aroma beads in case you are in a place where you can't burn candles but still want a scent. We'll make an announcement here when they're online!

I Am Sick; Healing Potion
I got too cold last night and got sick as a result. Since I have work today, I decided to make a healing potion and it is lovely
Ingredients:
about a cup of milk (i used soy milk because i had nothing else)
about a teaspoon and a half of cinnamon (or one good shake)
about a tablespoon of honey (or more if youd like)
Instructions:
heat the milk in a small sauce pan over medium heat, stirring every few seconds to prevent sticking
when it just begins to bubble around the edges, turn the heat to the lowest setting and add the cinnamon and honey
stir clockwise with a small whisk, invoking the healing power of the ingredients. i also called on Mani for His aid in the potion at this time.
when the potion is well mixed, turn off the heat and pour into a microwave safe cup (you dont want to crack glass or melt plastic)
breathe in the steam while it cools, then sip on it slowly, visualizing the potion working its way into the parts of you that need it.
!DISCLAIMER!
this potion should not be used in place of a medical professional. use it to remedy such symptoms as: stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, cough, headache, and tiredness, and to promote the natural healing process of your body. if symptoms worsen or persist, seek medical help.

Guide to Candle Making at Home
Tumblr media
Learning to make candles is a pleasant way to add warmth, aroma, and personal flair to your living spaces at a time when handcrafted and personalized design is more appealing than ever. Making your own candles at home is not just a fun pastime, but an artistic endeavour that may help you relax with the peaceful flicker of a handmade candle or give loved ones a token of your creativity and heart. With the help of this beginner candle-making tutorial, you will learn all the fundamentals of candle-making and become an expert candle maker from the comfort of your own home.
Getting Started: The Basics of Candle Making
Candle-making combines simplicity and creativity, allowing you to customize everything from the scent to colour to shape. The basic supplies you need include:
Wax: The soul of your candle. Soy wax is popular for its clean burn and environmental friendliness, while beeswax enchants with its natural, sweet fragrance and air-purifying qualities.
Wicks: The heart of your candle. Cotton wicks are a go-to for a steady burn, crucial for an evenly melting candle.
Fragrance Oils: The personality of your candle. Essential oils or specially designed candle fragrances allow you to tailor your candle to any mood or preference.
Containers: The body of your candle. From sleek glass jars to rustic ceramic pots, your container says as much about your candle as the fragrance does.
Melting Pot: A double boiler or a dedicated melting pot for wax.
Thermometer: To monitor the wax temperature, ensuring it's perfect for adding fragrance.
Colour Dyes: Optional, if you wish to add a splash of colour to your candles.
Step-by-Step Guide to Making Candles at Home
Preparing Your Workspace Make sure everything in your office is tidy and nothing you don't require. Making candles may get messy, so having a designated area is ideal. Cover your work surface with old towels, newspapers, or craft paper. This helps to prevent spills and drips of wax and facilitates cleanup. Arrange all of your supplies and equipment so they are accessible. Included in this are your thermometer, double boiler, container, wick, fragrance oil, and any colouring agents you intend to employ.
Melting the Wax Put the water in the bottom pot of your double boiler on the stove. Fill the top pot with the wax and slowly melt it over medium heat. Check the wax's temperature with a thermometer. The best temperature to add fragrance to soy wax is about 185°F. Burning or evaporating the fragrance oil in the wax might result from overheating.
Adding Fragrance and Colour After the wax reaches the proper temperature, take it off the burner and allow it to cool for a short while. By doing this, the fragrance oil is kept from vanishing too soon. Add your fragrance oil and stir until well combined. As a general rule, one ounce of fragrance should be added to one pound of wax, but pay attention to the directions on the fragrance oil. Now is the time to add dye, if using. Solid dye chips can also be used, but liquid dye blends more smoothly. Add little by little and stir until the desired colour is reached.
Securing the Wick Dip the base of your wick in the melted wax, then quickly adhere it to the bottom centre of your container. This helps keep it in place. To keep the wick centred and upright as the wax cools, place a pencil, chopstick, or skewer across the top of the container and wrap or clip the top of the wick to it.
Pouring the Wax Ensure the wax is around 135°F to 145°F before pouring — this temperature range helps prevent cracking and ensures a smooth surface. Gently pour the wax into the container, leaving about half an inch at the top. Pouring too quickly can create air bubbles.
Cooling and Curing Let the candle cool to room temperature, out of the direct sunlight and drafts. This may require up to a whole day, contingent upon the candle's dimensions. Reheat the remaining wax and slowly pour it over the surface to even it out if a sinkhole appears close to the wick. Cover the candle and allow it to cure for a minimum of 48 hours after it has completely cooled. Curing enhances the perfume by allowing the fragrance oils to completely bind with the wax.
Finishing Touches Trim the wick to about ¼ inch above the wax. This helps ensure an even burn and prevents the flame from getting too large. Use warm, soapy water to clean your tools. Wax is easier to clean while it's still slightly warm.
Why Make Your Own Candles?
Beyond the satisfaction of creating something beautiful, making your own candles allows you to control the quality of the ingredients, ensuring they are environmentally friendly and safe to burn in your home. It's also a wonderful way to personalise candle gifts to friends and family, infusing them with your personal touch and affection.
Ready, Set, Create!
Candle-making is not just an activity; it's a way to personalize your space, create meaningful gifts, and enjoy the tranquillity of crafting something beautiful and functional. With the basics down, you’re ready to embark on a journey of creativity and relaxation, making your own candles at home with ease and confidence.

' Tyler, darling, would you mind terribly if I bought all your pink candles? Or, commissioned you to make me a batch? ' Naturally, the vampire had no true need for any of them at present - much too focused on the notion of pink candles to really think up anything tangible. Plus, it was a free excuse to pay Tyler a visit, and Vayn did so love his social calls. ' Do you... do you take commissions? ' / vayn @ tyler !
Tumblr media
Tyler smiled upon his name being called, hauling a box onto the surface of his counter, he turned his head towards his customer and very adorable friend. "Pink candles? Like every pink candle I own or a specific type? Because I've got scented and unscented, some with pink centres under another colour and wax melts and lots more?" Tyler dusted his hands off to step away from his work for a moment and step closer to Vayn's place in his store. Patting a beam on his passing to stop nearby and smile upon Vayn's queries. "Oh, defo do, cutie-pie. Everything in the shops made by me, so if you've got a specific look or design, aroma or use for it. I can happily make you one or more."
Tumblr media
"You got a party planned or something?" Curious with genuine interest to the sudden want for them. "I've got a load in storage already boxed for the standard stick made from soy or beewax. Can take a bit to pull them all out though. Want me to deliver them to your place?"

A Birthday? Well, Al is certainly going to be trying to make a dish he remembers hearing her enjoying, Yuu always thinking of practical stuff offering some new shoe inserts for comfort.
Aadesh just gives a note, of some 'strings' he's pulled to get her next semester's classes to align just a lil more with a Certain Third Year ;3 "Call it: an invessstment~"
[Cloche’ Birthday Bash]
Tumblr media
Albert, the dorm leader of Ramshackle… Cloche wouldn’t say she’s fond of him, but his presence is always welcome. In the mornings, she’d usually pick up on the scent of melted butter and freshly toasted bread, and had grown to expect it. Not that she wanted Albert to cook breakfast, but it felt like something was missing when he didn’t. Cloche made her way to the kitchen below, ears perking up. Instead of the subtle smell of dairy, her nose was met with the sweetness of soy milk? There was a bowl of tofu at her spot on the table, drizzled with syrup and ginger, and sliced into the shape of a flower.
Cloche gave Albert a nod of acknowledgement; which used to be a bow. “Good morning, Master Albert. Thank you for the breakfast as usual,” Cloche said dryly. She took a seat, noticing Albert staring at her and then at the food. Was that a crease on his brow, under those glasses? Looking past Albert, Cloche noticed all the crudely cut white blocks on the counter. He must have worked hard, she thought. After trying a bite, Cloche’ tail and ears drooped, “It’s been a while since I’ve last had sweet tofu. I used to order them for dessert every time I was at a restaurant. Whether they were served hot, cold, cut smoothly or rough— it’s taste remains the same. You didn’t have to cut the tofu in such a way, but I appreciate the thought…”
“Master Albert, your birthday wish and presence is more than enough. …After school, I’ll try my best to make sure the attendees of my party don’t make a mess out of our… home.”

Eugenio— now shortened to Yuu, was another Ramshackle resident Cloche felt somewhat warmly about, especially having come from Earth as well. It was not uncommon for Cloche and Yuu to walk back to Ramshackle together with Grim, they shared the same classes after all. Whenever they ran out of topics to discuss, the rhythmic clicks of her heels filled in for the comfortable silence. “Master Yuu, Master Grim, you two may go on without me. I need to stop for a bit,” Cloche spoke.
“Seriously, Cloche? Are ya tired from walking to Ramshackle already? We walk like this everyday!” Grim quipped.
“I know, I know…” Cloche responded as she went off the dirt path. She leaned against a tree and slipped off her shoes. She was caught off guard when Yuu approached her— making Grim come along as well.
“You say you have ‘just the thing’ for me?” Cloche tilted her head when Yuu reached into their bag. “If it’s going to be a present, you can save it for the party— huh? It is the present…?”
“Shoe inserts? How lame!” Grim snickered.
Cloche sighed upon hearing Grim’s unnecessary comment and took the shoe inserts, eyes softening, “Thank you, Master Yuu. It’s a considerate gift. I feel bad for having to use your present early. …Hm? The purpose is for it to be used anyways? Well, I suppose so.”
“All better. I think I can make it to Ramshackle now. Since you’re the one who helped me, Master Yuu, you can have the second slice of cake.”

Aadesh, someone to look out for… When Cloche had been pulled out of first block to go to the counsellor’s office, she tried to ignore Ace’s “oooh”s and “somebody’s in trouble”s. Since she was wearing something a little flashier than her apron, it was only natural everyone else stared at her too. Cloche was normally careful, but the humiliation made her open the door to Aadesh’ office with a little more force than usual— nearly swinging it open. “Mr. Sona, I’m here as you’ve called. Is something the matter? You don’t normally pull me out a class, during a lesson.” she asked coldly, trying to figure out what Aadesh could possibly want. Her furrowed brows would later raise in confusion when she was handed a small slip of paper.
Cloche’ grip tightened on the note, she was going to crush it if she held it any tighter, “An investment, you say? I guess so… I’d be a fool if were to mistake this new schedule for a gift.” As her tail whipped, the bell that adorned it rattled sharply, “If anything… I’d say it’s more of a threat, a display of power, maybe even a flaunt. I don’t need you to show me what you can do. I already know you have this school wrapped around your fingers.” Cloche had to take deep breath to calm herself before she’d say something she would regret.
After folding the note into a small square and put it in her pocket, she bowed, “Thank you, Mr. Sona,” her thanks rang hollow.
“You could have met with me at break, lunch, or after school to avoid prying eyes, instead. …Oh? You wanted to ‘let me spend time with [my] friends on [my] birthday’? Hmph, they’re not ‘friends’…”

Warning Vegan Club Post Ahead Read It Or Don't You probably don't know nor care about what I'm talking about:
But anyways, Vegan Junkfood enthusiasts, Food scientists, and home cooks alike, we all know that Impossible Foods Inc. guards their recipe for soy heme like the Pentagon, because they know the second we cheapskates get our grubby little mits on it, we'll be cranking out diy impossible meat recipes for free.
But I am delighted to inform you, that a company called "Back of the Yards Algae Scientists" have discovered a new vegan heme alternative that is NOT ONLY more environmentally friendly to produce than soy/pea heme (because its made from algae instead), but it's all natural, produces less waste, and also has more nutrients, And get this, They're just gonna give the stuff away.
They'll literally just distribute the vegan faux meat gold like any ole shelf product.
At this point, we already have pork, chicken, raw fish for sushi, milk, eggs, caviar and a few others, so (in my opinion) it's a race for the top for The #1 vegan cheese, bacon, or Cooked Fish alternative.
Impossible promised a Dairy cheese but I've heard really good things about Miyoko's liquid Mozzarella, so I think the first company to really nail like, a vegan salmon would be highly acclaimed tho.
However, I could personally go for a decent vegan cheddar, specifically for African American style baked mac n cheese tho.
The vegan cheese we have now melts and blisters (and Im grateful) but the cheddar I've tried isn't tangy enough and it isn't stringy enough, so I also can't wait for that one to come out.
