Just some fun musings.
Human perception is limited by the brain. In our everyday lives, the brain filters out the copious amounts of sensory information it is constantly bombarded with in order to focus on that which we wish to perceive. Unlimited Void, in my understanding, breaks that filtration system and forces the brain to perceive all the information; and it goes a step further by bombarding the brain with a lifetime’s worth of information (however, I think it is limited to how long one has been alive for; so for example, a five year old would experience its five years of life repeatedly and simultaneously).
Now, the soul is not bound by something as tangible as the brain. Traditionally, souls exist outside of spacetime, so it exists, existed, and will exist simultaneously.
Megumi’s soul was hit with Unlimited Void about four, five times. He would not have suffered the devastating effects of Unlimited Void because without a brain, his soul would have been able to perceive all of the information it was given. Whether Satoru or Sukuna was aware of it or not, Megumi was essentially given a massive level-up, a chance to absorb an “unlimited void” of information outside of the limitations of cognitive perception and spacetime. They kind of facilitated in creating a being that had, in a very short few moments, “reincarnated” over several lifetimes.
Kind of like Buddha, huh?
And do we all know who Makora/Mahoraga is?
According to Shinto Buddhism, Makora/Mahoraga is one of twelve deities known as the Twelve Divine Generals (jūni shinshō) assigned to protecting Yakushi Nyorai - also known as the Healing Buddha.
Am I saying that Megumi is going to transcend and sort of… fix everything as the Healing Buddha, a deity known for alleviating suffering? Hell no. Gege isn’t that generous.
But it is a fun thing to think about.

"Nah, I'd win." - The Fucking Scion ten seconds before running for their life from the manticore monster in Novus
This is a sketch I colored because I liked it. I have never pulled a move such as this before. Forgive me. I need to learn to be messy I got too perfectionist and it was bad for me.
