my first techpriest cosplay. the box on my chest houses a voice modulator i built around an RTS0072 chip and the thingamabob below is a vox amplifier (= portable speaker that i painted in admech colors and stuck a purity seal on top of).

I just finished this blanket for a gift. It took a really long time, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

Does anyone have tips for blocking blankets in small spaces? I don’t have much space in my apartment other than areas I have to share with roommates. My main concern is the edges, want to which curl. There’s a few stitches of stockinette, then a few stitches of garter all around the border. There’s also a few places where I had to ladder down to fix mistakes, which left noticeable spaces. You might be able to see them near the bottom of the second picture.

WOOOO I FINISHED IT ON TIME (sorry for the slight lateness, had to redo some stuff due to the new locations and such)

This is the Fitpac fic for @t4tfitpac for the QSMP Valentine’s Day Gift Exchange! @qsmp-secretvalentine

Basically it’s just:

Fit and Pac celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together and they just planned to do a simple movie night together but their children pulled some shenanigans to get the two to have a true romantic Valentine’s dinner.

I’m sorry if the characterization is weird! This is my first ship fic and I don’t watch Fit or Pac so I don’t know their characters too well so I tried the best that I could!

I also added Spiderbit, Bagina, Pissa, Fooligetta, and Slimariana crumbs because I could not resist :3

Update on the Mhin (cosplay... inspiration outfit? Idk)

So i ran out of feathers for the boots. But while I've been waiting for more, I cut the seams of a sheer dress into a vest. I'm actually really happy with how it looks. Now I'm learning how to sew beads and land beads (i think that's what it's called) to make it look like blood. A lil reference to how mhin was introduced.

Green trousers part 3:

After getting the darts, pockets and crotch seam ironed, I moved on to sewing the side seams and inseams. I forgot to take process pictures of that part, but it was pretty straightforward anyway.

Next was the fly. I sewed buttonholes (by hand, because my machine’s buttonhole setting scares me) into one side of the facing, folded it to the inside and topstitched it down, then sewed buttons onto the other side. Luckily, I found enough buttons of the right size (and flat enough to not create bulk!) in my stash.

Instead of adding a waistband, I sewed twill tape to the outside of the waist as a reinforcement. I folded the fabric to the inside just below the tape and topstitched it down. I finished the hems with some green bias tape, topstitched on the outside and whip stitched on the inside. Lastly, I added the top button and belt loops.

Then came the most time-consuming phase of this project: hand-finishing the raw edges with a whip stitch. I forgot to take out some of my thread marking and basting stitches before I did that, so I ended up having to wrestle with those for a bit afterwards. I’m fairly certain there are no contrasting threads visible on the outside anymore, though…

And that’s that! The trousers are finished! All in all, I’m very pleased with how they turned out, though there are some things I would do differently.

Green Ice - First Fanbinding Project

After having ArmoredSuperHeavy’s How To Make A Book From An AO3 Page instructions open in a tab on my phone for nearly a full year, I decided it was finally time to give it a shot.  I started with one of my favorite, comfort-read fics, and while I still have a lot to learn I’m quite pleased with how it turned out for a first try.

This is a cross-over between Bertie Wooster and Lord Peter Wimsey - let’s hear it for tiny fandoms!  The story is told from Bertie’s point of view, which the author captures perfectly, and while I can’t give away the twist at the end without major spoilers it is so, so good.

The Binding: This is a quarto size (quarter US letter, so around 4.25 x 5.5 inches or  10.8 x 14 cm) typeset in LibreOffice using Garamond for the body and AR Bonnie for the titles.  I learned so much while putting the typeset together!  The book itself is made out of scraps scavenged from library discard bins and decorative papers that are probably old enough to get their learner’s permit in several states.  Flatback case binding made with a variation on the bradel binding method (the only real difference is heavy card for the spine piece instead of book board)  

Since the story is set in the 20s I was going for an older look, and given the title it had to be green.

Things to improve: the print quality could be upped a bit, I need to figure out trimming textblocks, and I had to do a bit of patchwork on the inside of the spine when I was too generous cutting relieving darts.  But all in all I am super pleased with how it turned out.  Now on to the next project!

I had such a bad crisis trying to draw him again after ages that when I created this file, I would rather eat my own bones than draw. But uhhh i fucked around a bit more and damn Did i enjoy this. I missed Gam so much i forgot how good it is to draw him. Anyways, this is also a bit of a redesign of him since I've been wanting to make some changes

The symbol in green and black is his sigil (almost all of my main character have one); It has 2 dots because of his eyes, a bent uppercase Gamma (Γ), and in the end its supposed to resemble his sickle + represent a broken light bulb since hes a being made of darkness
