I can see them being your biggest fans. They want you to keep an open mind to them or they wanna keep an open mind about you. I heard that they’re searching for you in everybody else. You should let go of control, if you are a control freak then you should let go of control. Can’t control every situation or anything just flow. That’s what they think about you when they are dreaming, especially in dreams let the dreams unfold to you. I heard that they wanna come to you but some of y’all minds are too busy and you shoving them away, it’s not your fault because I understand some of us have busy life or stressed out 😰. This took forever to put together, because tbh I’m overly critical of my own writing and it’s touch to look back on my work after I’ve written it, but I’m sure those of y’all who follow me will not be surprised to see most of this at all.

Hilariously, none of these are the pieces that are particularly beloved by readers — in fact, some of them have the lowest hit/kudos counts across my entire AO3 profile. And hilariously, only one of them is explicitly a Kastle fic, which seems like the only thing I ever write anymore, lol.

But hey, in no particular order:

language barrier — Maya Lopez & Frank Castle, gen, rated G. This spun off my excitement from the Hawkeye finale over Christmas, and is a short little piece of Maya coming to Frank for help after being injured. Frank doesn’t speak ASL, but he can’t not help a kid in need (Frank Castle, magnet for women in distress), so he does his best to learn. I just love Maya and Frank as a friendship, and I’m proud of writing a no-dialogue story while also getting Frank’s inner voice down fairly well. It’s also the first installment in what is slowly spiraling into a Thunderbolts concept I’m working on behind the scenes — which is really just an excuse to give Frank Castle a bunch of adoptive daughters, lol.

dead ringer — Boba Fett & Fennec Shand & Omega, gen, rated G. This was written for a Big Bang event for Book of Boba Fett, and is one of the few Star Wars fics I’ve written that isn’t some kind of modern day AU to allow me to avoid writing the nuances of sci-fi. It boils down to Boba searching for his fellow clone/sister, and there’s notes of Fennec/Boba in there, but it’s mostly a character piece for Boba, and I’m very proud of both my worldbuilding and the dialogue, particularly Fennec’s narration, since I’d never written for her before — I think this took me like, three days to finish despite being 7.5k.

hold on — Frank Castle/Maria Castle & Frank Castle/Karen Page, rated G. This was the brainchild of a conversation with one of my besties, and also partially out of spite because I was upset that there are virtually no Punisher fics (especially not recently) that touch on Frank’s relationship with Maria beyond just her death and the days leading up to it. The conceit is that Karen finds one of Maria’s old mixtapes that Frank had kept, and the song triggers a memory for Frank, of dancing with Maria to “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips, hence the title. There’s just something about the tone of this one that I really adore, and Maria is such a fun character to write, even though I’ve only ever done it in flashback — see also my hungry heart piece from recently. She’s so feisty and full of personality, and this fic really successfully pairs her with Karen and establishes that Frank can have two loves of his life without having to shove one to the side for the other.

a prize for rotten judgement — Oberyn Martell/Ellaria Sand, rated G. Ah yes, my other OTP. There is virtually no content for Oberyn and Ellaria as a ship on the Internet, so I took it upon myself to come up with a hitman AU for the two of them where Ellaria’s a surgeon, and this piece sees her sewing up Oberyn’s bullet wounds on her couch. I absolutely adore Ellaria in the same way that I do Maria Castle, and the dialogue and worldbuilding in this are just spot-on to me. I don’t like Game of Thrones at all, but it’s difficult to find Oberyn content that isn’t painfully oversexualized, and nigh on impossible to find Ellaria content at all, so I’m particularly proud of this corner of fandom that I’ve created.

tramps like us — Wanda Maximoff & Frank Castle, gen, rated G. My most recent piece, this was the result of me seeing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and going “god, Wanda needs to sit down and have a talk with Frank because their trauma is so similar”. One of my favorite things to write is a good character piece where two people are able to just talk without much at all happening, and this is just that. I really nailed Frank’s voice here, and this piece feels cathartic for a lot of reasons, not least of which being the fact that I will always defend women in film going apeshit. Also possibly part of that Thunderbolts concept if I ever get around to it, lol.

Honorary sixth place goes to you look like bad news (i gotta have you), which is the first in a series of fluffy Shane Walsh/Original Character fics I wrote entirely on impulse. It was my first foray into like, real, honest-to-god rom com writing, which is not something I’m normally half-decent at. But that sucker (which was initially supposed to be one chapter and turned into 16k and three chapters, oops) was so much fun and opened up an avenue for me to write easy, no pressure stories between projects if I need to blow off some steam.

Oh well.............this is embarrassing but....I haven't actually written any proper lines since the last fake/real chapter.......... 👉👈

I've been planning things (fake/real and two others...) but it's all VERY roughly written and VERY heavy on spoilers.

Why yes I DID type this on my phone, you can tell by all the typos and weird grammar mistakes that I haven't bothered to clean up yet. Either way,,,,,,,enjoy some unedited, unfinshed angst :)

🎶 What music do you listen to when you write?

I mostly find it pretty impossible to write to music with lyrics, so it's almost always instrumental.

I can't remember if I ever linked this playlist or not but this is what I put on most of the time. It's mostly video game OST, Disney + OUAT. But I also have a handful of spotify playlists, including a playlist which is just a bunch of different Pinocchio soundtracks, a specific fake/real playlist (aka, disney OST), a playlist that consists mostly of contemporary classical and a playlist that's like.....90% Skyrim OST (Jeremy Soule, SO beloved).

Occasionally, if there's noise from outside my headphones and I can't block it out with anything above, I put on my dubstep/EDM/generally LOUD music playlist because it's less distracting than other music with lyrics/has less lyrics than other music.

● You were trying to show Ingo a meme you thought even his affinity to act like a middle-aged father would be able to enjoy. He did like Thomas the Tank Engine, he had admitted. What you forgot about was your photo album titled “Ingo, My Beloved🖤🖤”. Naturally, this caught his eye. “What's this album, dear?” He asked while tapping your phone screen.

● It was opened for his prying eyes to see. Photos of your dates and random selfies together, alongside some candids of him doing various activities; resetting his model train's position on its track, him kneeling down to feed Crustle some berries and him wearing your apron while cooking. Ingo flushes the images. When had you snapped these? He hadn't even noticed.

● He thinks it's adorable and admits he has something similar for you. Of course, it's an actual scrapbook because he's that into it. It was supposed to be a gift eventually, but he lets you see it early. He asks if he can borrow some of your photos for his album. Naturally, you let him. You notice he has photos of you cooking, one of you holding a stray Litwick you housed while searching for her owner, and one of you riding the subway at a slow time. Ingo enjoys the preciousness of it all and loves being able to do something that further shows his love for you.

○ He was borrowing your phone for something and accidentally clicked on pictures instead of contacts, yet got stuck on the screen when he noticed an album titled “Smile!🤍”. He not-so-discreetly tapped it and was greeted with photos of both of you together and of him alone. A few notable were him napping on the couch with Galvantula sleeping on top of him, him at work highly focused on paperwork, and him enjoying his latte at a café.

○ Enmet giggled when he returned you the device, “I see you have a collection of us~” You became flushed at him catching your album. Which made him tease you a little bit more, “My partner is soooo cute, it's unfair! Now I have to make my own album of us.” His whining was playful and he hugged you close. Little kisses dancing against your cheek.

○ He does actually make an album of you two. It's filled with photos of you smiling and doing assorted tasks. His favourite is one of you relaxing on the couch with a cluster of his Joltiks laying on top of you. Galvantula laid sadly on your feet. It's his most precious photo, and he looks at whenever he feels himself getting stressed. Emmet is glad you're in his life.

♤ He probably took your phone as some sort of joke, but got bored while waiting, so he peeked at your photos. He notices an album titled “♥️Enemy♥️” and is intrigued. Clicking on it, he's hit with photos of you both out to various activities and some of just him. A snapshot of him knelt down petting Liepard with a soft smile playing across his lips, him hyper focused on an intense game of roulette at a casino, and him standing on the beach in Undella Town with Sharpedo barreling through the water, his face obviously amused.

♡ “My, oh my, I had no idea you thought I was so cute,” Grimsley mocked as he held your phone out to you. You glared at him, knowing he had taken it, but mildly annoyed he caught your collection of him. He chuckled at your obvious frustration toward him. “Now, I don't disagree with you, but I found you much cuter,” he then snapped a photo of your expression for before running off. You felt a warm blush across your cheeks at his pestering.

◇ Grimsley doesn't start a photo album, but he does collect a few candids of you. One is you actually playing a game of Craps in his casino of choice, you're dressed up so finely, that he is tempted to frame it. ☄️ You were showing him some pictures you had taken during a visit to Johto, when he spotted the album titled “My Cy💙”. He immediately asks to see what it is, his rare curiosity piqued. You're not embarrassed about it at all and show it to him immediately. There's a sense of pride in all your photos.

☄️ Cyrus stares at the album closely, many photos were of him and you on various activities or nights in. He remembers posing for most of those. The ones that surprise him are solely with him as the focus. An evening where he was reading over documents with Weavile curled up in his lap purring, or him leaning on the railing over your apartment at night with his Crobat flying behind him. You have many photos of him with his pokemon. He's confused by your collection, but, strangely, he finds it endearing. Cyrus just nods at it, but you see a slight sparkle in his eyes, you know he liked it.

☄️ Cyrus keeps a photo of you on his desk in the Veilstone HQ as a strange memento through his days. A reminder that his sins will have victims. You smile so brightly in it, turning back to pull him along the beautiful Kalosian palace you insisted a visit to. That smile haunts him as a precious thing; he hates to see it go, but also hates that it affects him at all. His fingers trail across the glass as he considers it, with his ever approaching goal heavy on his mind.

🌑 You had let him borrow your phone to make a quick call to Acerola to check on her. His dumb old man fingers clicked the wrong app and led to him discovering a photo album titled “❤️‍🩹Cat Dad”. An eyebrow cocked up and he clicked on it. The album was filled with photos of you both out doing things around Ula'Ula Island. You have photos of him napping on his couch in the police station, surrounded by his Meowths, him standing slightly in the ocean on the route 16, and him with Acerola trying to help style her hair. He's a bit honoured you think so old like him is worth all that.

🌑 “Here,” he says simply holding out your phone after he made his call, “Also, how'd you speak those photos? I consider myself pretty observant.” You flushed at the fact he found your collection. It was explained you waited until he was completely into whatever he was doing to take the pictures. He smirked at you, “Ah, that's pretty impressive, I suppose.” You are given a quick kiss by the old man before he asks what you want to eat. It was relieving to see he didn't mind.

🌑 He's old-fashioned, his photos are usually hard copies. Naturally, he's a got a few of you he keeps around. In his wallet, there is one of you being crowded by his Meowths as you held some bonito flakes they desperately wanted. In his station, there's another of you sitting on the black sands of route 14, gentle wind blowing your clothes. It relaxes him whenever he sees it. Nanu's deeply in love with you, he unfortunately knows.

Where did you get most of the inspiration for your main story of sotm? I Love all the characters so much (which i think is pretty obvious by now ♥️)! And the same with the cute clan names :)

Tbh the clan names are very unoriginal. I chose them because I wanted the clans to be named after different biomes. Although Oceanclan used to be called Waterclan, and Mountainclan was Rockclan so I think you can see why those changed. If I recall correctly there was also once a warriors video that somebody made talking about their fanclans and 8 year old me thought it was the coolest shit so I borrowed their naming concepts.

My inspiration from the series comes from many places and differs between books. Warriors itself of course is the biggest influence, especially for Book 1: Moon Rise. I looked to Into The Wild for ideas on how to start things off (and I'm sure its easy to tell) because I honestly didn't know what to do with the beginning of Book 1. I had all the end story beats plotted and even pre-scripted but the start was difficult. If I had to start writing Moon Rise nowadays though, I have a better idea for how to begin. I borrowed story beats from a game I used to play with my stuffed animals when I was little. And I was also inspired by @scourge-sympathiser's medicine cat oc Yewheart when it came to choosing a villain for the story. Leafpool's Wish and Mapleshade's Vengence were also vaguely influential when it came to Snowfrost's story in particular.

For Moon High, I got the plot from an old story I'd made up as a young teen. The story was created during my time animating for Flipnotes Hatena (my beloved, I miss you </3) but I can't really recall what drove me to create that original story in particular. Probably some warriors AMVs I used to watch. Also, some of the plot and characters in this book are inspired directly from fans of Signs of the Moon (can't explain the specifics on that because that leads to spoiler territory)

And Moon Fall's inspiration comes from a combination of old stories ((like my first warrior's fanfic called Sammystar's Path. That book only vaguely inspired the idea for Moon Fall's villain tho, and not much else. You can check this story out if you want, its really old and cringe. Im considering rewriting it)), the plots of the two previous books, and from hopes/wishes coined by warriors fans for the canon series. There's also a bit of research brought in from a special interest of mine, which is cults, but I can't really get into that rn (because spoilers ;3)

In general I get a lot of ideas from other creator's works, like from their AUs, AMVs/MAPs, and fanfiction. If I have to name the biggest influences I'd have to give that credit to: the Fire and Water AU by @warriorsfireandwater here on tumblr, the original comic made by @foxglovesound also here on tumblr, What Is There To Do by aquastorm- on Wattpad (which inspired my idea for Grassclan's Partner system), another Wattpad fanfic called Icebreath's Decision by icebreathwarriorcat (the story is kind of cringe now but I can't help but credit it for it's influence on me and my motivation for writing), and a third fic from the site called Spark by POPPYTEA
