Although we don’t know the exact details behind the central conflict of Across the Spiderverse and it could very well be an intentional trailer misdirect, I think the possibility of Miles having to save one of his parents at the risk of the multiverse has strong potential to challenge the deeply rooted idea that tragedy and sacrifice define Spider-Man as a character. Much of Spider-Man media suggests that Spider-Man absolutely has to give up his loved ones and personal life for the sake of his duties, an idea that’s so ingrained culturally that many people weren’t satisfied with the MCU’s Peter Parker until No Way Home literally everything away from him. And while this is a staple of the character for a reason and even the first Spiderverse movie delves into the idea of getting back up from major loss, the new Spiderverse movie looks like it might offer the much more optimistic perspective that you don’t have to lose everything to wear the mask. Miguel sees himself as the protector of destiny, and most likely having lost a loved one himself, fully believes that Miles’ losses are set in stone for the good of the multiverse. But Miles has never been one to follow the narrative. He was bitten by a spider not of his world and went beyond the expectations of others by doing things his own way. He defines his own path and will fight to keep both the multiverse and his happiness alive, no matter how much he’s told he can’t have both.

[ID: A full page drawing of Orion holding Lightray, Orion’s hands are under his legs and Lightray is playing with Orion’s hair, they are looking into eachothers eyes and smiling. Behind them is a rainbow Mother box inspired circuit pattern, with seventeen alternate universe versions of them in the various borders and fifteen much smaller alternate universe versions of them over the borders. The word "Multiverse" is framed in dots on the frame on the left. End ID]
late 2021 Lightrion week day 6 - Alternate Universe! &
New Gods November 2023 - Week 4, Day 4: Alternate Realities!
once upon a time it was said that only one version of the New Gods exist across all Earths, but its rarely reflected after that. Most of these AUs are canon, some after 1/2 canon (featuring only one of the duo), and some are my own ideas :D This december is going on three years since I got into New Gods!

[ID: Box one: Orion and Lightray from DC, depicted as anthro cartoon dogs from the neck up. There is a purple background with black kirby krackle behind them.
Box two: Thorion and Bald’r with their foreheads pressed together, smiling and looking into eachothers eyes. Their hands are clasped in front of Bald’rs shoulder. Thorion has shoulderlength blond hair and wing-like ears on his helmet, which exposes his face. Bald’r has black hair, and wears a blue cape over his armour.
Box three: Lightray as a Blue Lantern holding off an attack from Orion as a Red Lantern. Orion is snarling, striking at Lightray with claws and spitting red acid. Lightray is smiling at him, reaching out one arm and holding Orion’s wrist in the other. Blue and Red kirby krackle surround each of them.
Box four: Two anthropomorphic dinosaurs, one is red, blue, and yellow with a spiky back and saber-teeth, he is wearing a helmet. The second is a white and yellow pterodactyl with a red and black symbol painted on his chest.
Box five: Two mech suits, Orion’s slightly in front of Lightray’s. Orion’s has his helmet, a pink face, blue collar, and red shoulders. Lightray’s behind him has his gold headpiece and flames coming from the top. Orion and Lightray sit side by side on the shoulder of Orion’s mech, faced away from viewer. Lightray is reaching over to Orion’s thigh and they are watching a sunset together.
Box six: Hunter and Neon Black, two men closely resembling Orion and Lightray, but with thicker armour and darker clothes. Hunter is turned away but looking over his shoulder, while Neon Black is pressed into his chest and smiling.
Box seven: Orion and Lightray based on the style of Mike Mignola, Lightray is thin and wearing a white top with a gold V mark, and long gold gloves that reach up his arms. Orion has a low cut red shirt and blue shoulderpads. He and Lightray are smiling at eachother.
Box eight: Future State Orion with a matching Lightray, their heads are pressed together and they're holding eachother's faces and smiling. Orion has pink skin and flaming hair, Lightray is similar, both have gold headpieces resembling their usual counterparts.
Box nine: The top of two mock-Simpsons style figures, one with a red/black bowlcut and one with orange hair and a silver headpiece with a "v" on it, meant to be Obrian and Flightrisk from Radioactive Man.
Box ten: Lightray faced away from the viewer, glaring at Orion, who is lacking a helmet and has long, wild hair. Orion has a darker outfit based on his Gods and Monsters uniform, with a silver harness. Barda is next to him in an outfit similar to her regular one, she looks concerned and is reaching to pull Orion back. Behind them are buildings from New Genesis.
Box eleven: Orion's death scene from Gods and Monsters, Lightray is holding Orion back while Highfather's staff kills him.

Box fifteen: Highfather Orion from The Dark Side leaning into a kiss from Lightray, who is playing with his hair.
Box sixteen: Batman Beyond Lightray looking worried at Orion, who is faced away from the camera. Lightray has his eye injury and bandage, Orion is maskless.
Box seventeen: New 52 Orion and Lightray relaxing on the grass. Lightray is pressed into Orion's side with a knee over his stomach. They're smiling at eachother.
Final image: Several small figures, showing Lightray and Orion together as they appear in Scribblenauts, New 52, Source of Freedom, The Dark Side, Mike Mignola, Lantern corps, DC Mech, and Dark Multiverse. Lightray from Superman/Batman: Generations and Earth-51, and Orion as his 80's costume, Kenner Super Powers, two Lego forms, and his clone from The Great Darkness saga.
END ID]
1: Orihound and Lightstray from the New Dogs (Earth C-Minus). Inspired by the art in their first/only appearance Captain Carrot and the Final Ark #3, by Scott Shaw, Scott Koblish, Tom Luth, and Drew Moore.
2: Thorion and Bald’r the Lightbringer of the New Asgods (Amalgam Earth). Inspired by the art .
3: Lightray and Orion as members of the Lantern corps, designed by me. In this universe, an Apokolips-raised Orion loses all sense of control when given the red ring and decimates the population of Apokolips, then turns on Atrocitus for manipulating his mind. Seeing a threat to all Lantern Corps, Lightray of New Genesis volunteers to defeat Orion and retrieve his ring. Lightray’s design is based on his formal wear from volume 3, Orion’s is based on his rebirth uniform. OK i dont know if they can work out in this one honestly i just thought it’d be cool, theoretically
4. Lightraydactyl and Orionodon, designed by me. The JL fighting Darkseid instead of Orion is a pet peeve of mine, but Jurassic League didnt even leave room for the New Gods to exist. i love the dinosaurs comic though Lightray was pretty straightforward, Orion’s design took inspiration from Darklyoseid’s canon design by Juan Gedeon, a sabertooth tiger (for Tigra), and Orion’s main universe costume for the colours.
5. Orion and Lightray Mechs. DC Mech killed Orion off in issue one boooooo! but it did mean i didnt have to design my own for his (Lightray's is mine though). This was inspired by one of the covers for Pacific Rim, because I will be thinking about a pacrim AU for them forever now.
6. Hunter and Neon Black. These guys aren’t actually LR and Orion, just two random inmates disguised as evil versions of them iirc, but I liked Neon Black’s design.
7. Orion and Lightray, Mike Mignola’s scrapped 1990′s New Gods animated film designs.
8: Orion and Lightray from Future State: Green Lantern, Lightray was designed by me.
9: O’Brian and Flightrisk of the New Guards from Radioactive Man.
10. Orion and Lightray (and Barda) from a personal AU of mine, using designs inspired by the Gods and Monsters film.
11. Just the Gods and Monsters death scene, to break things up.
12. Orion and Lightray inspired by Jack Kirby’s art.
13. Young Justice.
14. Scrapped New 52 Lightray and Jim Lee’s unused Orion design.
15. DCAU/Batman Beyond
16. Superman: The Dark Side. I was going to make Lightray transparent at first, like ambiguously a hallucination or a ghost or something but i didnt like how it looked all that much.
17. New 52 - I sometimes like to imagine these guys are from like a Pocket dimension modeled after the Fourth World, where everyone is shallow and awful like n52 canon/fandom perception.
18. Minis - Scribblenauts, Lightray's older appearance in Superman/Batman: Generations (he has an earlier appearance similar to his main universe suit, but with a yellow tone), New 52, Source of Freedom Orion plus the miscoloured Lightray that appears twice, The Dark Side, Earth-51 Lightray, 1977 Orion, Mignola again, Kenner Super Powers Orion, Lantern Corps AU, Orion effigy from The Great Darkness Saga, both Lego Orions, original illustration colours, DC mech, and Dark Multiverse: Flashpoint.
a few months ago i got to finish with this very long term project :D thank you to everyone who encouraged me with kind words while working on this :D The final Lightrion week pic is finished and ready to post whenever i get around to it.

Super Multiverse Guardians AU
Had the idea for alternate versions of SMG3 & 4 that are extradimensional beings called Super Multiverse Guardians meant to keep watch over the SMG4 multiverse (so the canon timeline and all the various AUs people have made), and some kind of major threat comes that requires them to put together their own version of the Crew made up of different versions of them each from a separate universe. I've only got the two of them and the Mario Bros figured out though.
The SMGs go by nicknames to differentiate themselves from their counterparts. SMG4 goes by "Rune" while SMG3 goes by "Hax." They were both originally from their own normal AUs that got destroyed somehow, and were saved and brought up to their current status by the previous Super Meme Guardians. Rune is from an urban fantasy setting and was a mage, while Hax is a Reploid and former Maverick Hacker because his universe was based on the Megaman X series instead of the Super Mario franchise.
The Mario they find is from a Bad End version of "It's Gotta be Perfect" where they didn't manage to save 4, the Creep no-selled Swag's bombs thanks to the keyboard not getting destroyed and then started spreading beyond the castle, and a few years later the whole planet's overtaken and Mario's one of the few survivors, with all but a few stubborn pockets of civilization either dead or Changed into one of 4's seemingly endless "Redesigns." In Mario's case, he wanders the wastes of the world, searching for a way to either save SMG4...or kill him. He's also caring for an Inkling egg (not related to Meggy. She is very much gone) he found on his travels, which is just about the only reason he hasn't given up hope and mercy-killed the universe yet (and yes that implies exactly what you think it does).
In Luigi's case...well...technically he's not Luigi. At least not at the moment. See, in his universe the SMG4 Crew went through a... mostly faithful adaptation of Super Paper Mario as one of their arcs. I say mostly because of the obvious Memes and extra characters, but also because in this version, Dimentio sending Mr. L to the Underwhere didn't turn him back into Luigi, and the Floro Sprout shenanigans and Super Dimentio thing at the end of the game scrambled his already washed brain so badly that Nastasia couldn't undo her spell. So now they're stuck with Mr. L until they somehow find a way to get him back to normal. Thankfully like the rest of Bleck's minions he's not really evil anymore but he's still... himself, unfortunately.
...Yeah I'm kind of having Rune and Hex grab Bargain Bin versions of the Crew if you couldn't tell so expect more angsty backstories, morally dubious teammates, and clashing personalities down the line.

WTTMV Keeper!Poppy, Stitcher!Julie, Theories/just talking(also a non WTTMV character, Solver!Frank)part two
This got cut in half because Tumblr was being weird, ok now let’s continue on with part two and I’m aware that I forgot about this
I do find this one interesting even if I’m not sure quite sure what happened.
Unfortunately Solver’s world got destroyed by Stitcher some time after he left it, he doesn’t know that tho. Keeper on the other hand does. The Connecting backstories.
Also It’s been pretty interesting learning about Solver!Frank, all the bits of lore I got to see. It is kinda sad to see the ask blog go but life goes on, at least I got to see it happen in the first place, everyone wish Rose the best regards I think I said that right.
Tumblr media
This had my interest and it still does to this day
fun fact: this when I started looking through posts for lore, well it me a bit to actually do it, like I waited a bit before I went the blog for lore. I still find it weird that no one was making theories posts on Keeper’s lore, despite the fact she had a connection to Stitcher; who is one of our main villains, which should have been a reason a good reason for others to make theories yet no one did?, it’s so weird.
I finally know what happened here and I’ll talk about it at some point. All I’m going to say the lore is on the website that Ariki posted and was talking about not to long. It has some lore about the other characters too, like Archivist and a certain Wally variant who Stitcher hates for example. I wish good luck who plans on finding it next.
Special thanks to @/chocolategothwolfhorse for finding it. I don’t know where you found it but good job.
So we now know that Stitcher became active way later on in the story compared to the other casts and that she sometimes gets fabrics from Trader.
Another example of interactions between characters that are like, I think it’s interesting and cool to it. To me It adds a lot to the story and world, seeing two characters from opposing sides; who might hate/dislike each other, choosing not fight because the store they’re in doesn’t allow it. I like seeing things like this, this is why I thought Coupier and Stitcher at the wedding from last year was interesting. It revealed something I wasn’t expecting and wasn’t thinking about at the time.
A earlier Instance of elaborating on stitcher’s friends who are kept in her Collection, about who ends up in her Collection and why, they’re still alive and ‘conscious’ to an extent.
We finally got more information on what Stitcher’s rules for killing are
So Stitcher doesn’t kill any of the puppets in her collection herself, so all the puppets in her collection were killed by someone else. Any puppets she killed aren’t apart of it. Some other things we learn there’s some characters she won’t kill or she try to befriend first. Stitcher doesn’t kill any variants of her siblings, From her exact words we Coupier would be the one to do that.
“I've met plenty of versions of them since then. I don't really like having to kill some during missions, so Crou is generally the one to do it, while I take care of the ones he doesn't want to kill. We're a great team !" Since she didn’t kill this version of her siblings, who did what happened to them before “she fixed them”?

Ok... so you know among us?
Put in the undertale crew but swap out sans for Dust or Killer
There is 1 Impostor Among Us
Tumblr media
I have wanted to draw this ask for a very long time, but really needed to gather up the confidence to draw the whole ass UT crew. Which! I think went fairly well, all things considered.
Not well enough that I want to do full on finished lineart and coloring BUT STILL—
Though, I did change your idea a little bit, cuz, y’know.
Tumblr media
There’s always TWO imposters in Among Us ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
(…Ignore the fact that Chara and Dust likely wouldn’t get along. XD)

I was wondering if you could do Felina Furr aka Alley-Kat-Abra (I think she’s called Sleen now? Looking at the zoo crew stuff is honestly confusing since apparently they’re no longer from a cartoon universe but are aliens or something) and Echo (as the Corinthian)/Dread of the Endless?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DC characters - Alley-Kat-Abra and Echo
I'm not up to date on the Zoo Crew or any alleged retcons outside of what I've seen in Convergence and Multiversity (as well as Captain Carrot's cameos with Justice Incarnate and Superman). The furry universe shouldn't be messed with.

My theory on game 34
We're in prague, and there's an electronics shop where Nancy takes Ned for another late anniversary present. He chooses an Apple Watch, but since Apple is trademarked, it's a Watermelon Watch. Nancy doesn't have money to pay for it since she never travels with money, so she gets a job as a barista (while having no experience) and meets Radek there. He's cute and is a university student from Canada staying with his Czech grandparents while he pursues his computer science degree.
***SPOILERS FOR GAME 34!!!*** (not really)
8 hours into gameplay, we come across a mysterious laptop and look through it. We find clues and eventually discover that Radek may not be who we think he is! Then, we look behind us and see Radek, standing there. He pulls off his mask and GASP he's Dwayne Rogers! Nancy's like "i thought you were in the middle of the ocean!" he says "HA, YOU FORGOT I CAN SWIM!" even though it was the middle of the ocean and there were sharks (he was too angry to be eaten by a shark) and then does an evil laugh and pulls a lever which traps Nancy in a box. He leaves and says "i have the treasure of seven badass looking keys that you were supposed to find in the mystery game because we needed a fun plot!" and runs out.
To get out of the box we need to be fluent in Czech because we have a pocket dictionary, and we have to build a makeshift giant blowtorch to Qui-Gon Jinn our way through the metal box (it's metal) and chase down Dwayne as he runs away. We tackle him Ralph Guardino style as "We Are The Champions" plays in the background.
We never get Ned the Watermelon Watch.

Samurai Bob and the Nightmare Realm
For context, if I'd actually written out SMG4k's arc, or at least listed all the major alternate universes involved, one of them would have been a Samurai Jack parody with a version of Bob in the starring role, Worm in place of Aku, and the local version of Meggy as a bounty hunter called "Agent 3" who was initially working for Worm to take out Bob, was convinced to help the heroes with the SMG4k situation by her main AU and Avatar (because Avatar Meggy World would've also been A Thing) counterparts, then after the crisis was solved decided to permanently change her ways and travel with Bob for a while.
In this follow-up episode, the two of them are continuing their journey to find a way to destroy Worm and get Bob back to his own time, when they find a village that's seemingly under attack by demons. They decide to help and seek out the source of the monsters, which turns out to be a portal to another universe. Said universe is a version of the SMG Mushroom Kingdom where Luke and Kevin wanted to specifically do horror-comedy bloopers, so most of the Memes in the SMG Mod were Creepypasta-related. The inhabitants, while definitely terrifying and operating on Adams Family Morality Rules, aren't actually evil (apart from characters like Eggman and Wheeler who were already evil normally) and aren't the ones attacking the village. Mostly.
As it turns out, the actual culprits are the local version of Lord Ramagog and his minions, unchanged apart from Ramagog apparently deciding to conquer his game rather than abandon it, who are attempting to conquer the Digital Multiverse starting with Super Mario 64. The portal to the Samurai Bob universe that Ramagog's demons and MK residents keep falling through is just a coincidental holdover from the SMG4k crisis.
As you'd expect, Bob and Meggy decide to team up with the Creepy Crew to take down Ramagog, then close the portal to solve the village's initial demon attack problem and prevent anyone from getting stranded in the wrong universe.

one of my favorite cryptid/monster creation theories is that something, even if it was entirely made up, becomes real purely because people believe it enough, and I keep thinking about that in relation to henry's powers/the way he wanted to change the world
like, rather than it being actual timeline splitting or time travel in order to change things (thinking specifically of that shot of him rewinding the grandfather clock, literally manipulating time), it's just like... he wills these things to happen because he believed hard enough in it? if that makes sense?
like he still has powers, that's all real, but rather than it being actual time manipulation, it's closer to like... faulty or changed memories that then retroactively become real. as a tiny example, like brenner's hair inexplicably changing style or graying too fast is just bc henry remembered it wrong, but that doesn't mean it's not real
i just feel like it's an interesting thought since henry leaned so heavily into making false memories or interactions with his victims (chrissy's mom in the bathroom, the cop saying he recognized fred, max seeing her mom after leaving the letters for her family) but they all stemmed from the truth, and perhaps could have become real if the victims believed it hard enough and gave in to their pain and fear
idk! like... i feel like it would be a cool twist to have it be a manipulation of memories that retroactively changes stuff, but the old version still leaks through, rather than it directly being like time travel and stuff
#stranger things#henry creel#i say things#i think it's just bc im so indifferent to actual time travel in a piece of media like stranger things#it just. sort of feels out of place to me?#obvs my opinion might change when we get the stage play and into s5#and there's a lot of evidence that it Is straight up timeline splitting and whatnot#i think that maybe like. im sick of it bc of all the bullshit dumbfuck marvel multiverse shit#it's boring and i hate it !#like. i think if this was the plan the whole time for ST#or if it was even just like a little seed at the start that has since then taken further root#that's fine. bc i could put my trust into the duffers and crew to make it work and have it be satisfying#i just. feel like i want it to be more of a twist than that#and like. maybe there is one true 'timeline' for lack of a better word#but the characters keep remembering things differently bc their memories are being manipulated#i think it would be dumb to have it be like a 'and they were dreaming the whole time!' thing#like they'd have to take it easy if they wanted to retroactively be like 'that's not what really happened'#but. idk! i just am really intrigued by the idea of vecna fucking around with character's memories#and giving them fake experiences just to scare them#and i think it would be really cool to sow doubt like that into their minds#by being like 'here's what you thought you remembered... but here's what you remember now... which is right?'#and like. making certain paths become real bc they believe one more over the other#and so they have to try really hard to remember what's true and what isnt in order to save the day#I DONT KNOW now i can't stop talking im so sorry#this was meant to be smthn small and now im just like ooooooo fun idea that i would wanna see the duffers tackle#this sounds so dumb but it's literally like#henry isnt actually manipulating time but he believes that he is and so therefore he is#but he only is doing it because he believes he's doing it#but he's not Actually doing it
