Ok I have some headcanons in my mind, but one particularly has haunted my thoughts these days

What if Teru comes from a rich family, but has always had a bad relationship with his abusive father (who hates him because he's scared of his powers). He still cares about his mom, so he asked to his parents to live alone in a flat far away from them for their own safety.

But when his apartment got burned down, he had to face his father to rent a new one. The father got really mad and aggressive against Teru, who is so scared of him that his whole body is paralyzed and can't use his powers. and kicked him out of the house.

Teru wandered around the city, all covered in blood and bruises, not knowing or caring where he's going. But he soon found himself in front of Reigen's office building, unsure of what to do. Just when he decided to live, Reigen came out of the building. Teru tried to cover up his face, but Reigen understood immediately that something was off, so he took him back to his office, he medicated him and gave him something to eat, while listening to his story. Reigen then decided to host Teru in his apartment for as long as he wanted.

And that's the story of how Reigen officially adopted Teru.

Honestly?

Reigen looooves when you sit on his lap!

but only in private <3

it strokes his ego and makes him feel superior

not necessarily to you just in general

like he’s a somebody 😭

idk it just makes him feel proud

his mom loves him but…..she never thought he would settle down with someone

more like someone would settle down with him

so now that he has you here and now, sitting on his lap?

yeah he feels like some sort of sigma 🗿

brags to practically everyone he’s knows and shows you off

but that’s off topic

back to the part where he doesn’t like pda

He just doesn’t like it because he feels vulnerable

And it embarrasses him

especially in front of mob

thats his successor!!

and whenever he arrives it’s time to get to work!

at home it’s completely okay for you to sit on his lap at any time!

Eating, at the computer, reading, whatever!

as long as he’s alone and trying to do something it’s 100% a go

if you try to sit on him in public he’ll ease you off and put a hand around your waist instead

that way you still get the affection you seek and your close but it’s not a big gesture for everyone to see

he’s the “Greatest Psychic of the 21st Century!” - Reigen

he cant be seen being open and affectionate!

the first time you sat on him he was very caught off guard and choked on his water

he was blushing but trying to be smooth about it

he quickly put on his cool persona and started flirting to counter his previous reaction

”I’m sure your grateful! Because your certainly lucky to be sitting on the World’s Greatest Psychic’s lap!” 😉

he also prefers it if you sit facing opposite of him oddly enough

i feel this because then we he sits up to his desk he can pull up to it more

but that’s mostly when he’s working

otherwise he lets you decide

he’s never really the one to offer either

not because he doesn’t want you to

he just doesn’t think about it

plus he just lets you come and go as you please :)

he figures when you want to—you will

although I will say if you stop doing it for a while he’ll freak out a bit and wonder if you guys are drifting apart 🤦‍♀️

if you ever sit on just one though, he’ll wrap an arm around your waist

—And do note that he’s very prone to bouncing his leg while working

so if you get annoyed by that then yeah your better off sitting on both

Mob psycho 100 Christmas special where Mob and Ritsu realize Teru still believes in Santa despite not getting presents for years, Tome wants to find a Christmas urban legend, Serizawa wants to get a good gift for everyone and reconnect with his mom more, and Reigen realizes that because he’s having people over for Christmas for the first time he can’t just buy fried chicken a few days before and eat the cold leftovers to skip the lines

I think that since Ritsu is the 'smart one' he and mob's parents payed a lot more attention to him and his accomplishments, always praising Ritsu for his good work and ignoring things that are good for mob because his younger brother does so much better.

so, mob, for a long time, thought that his accomplishments were insignificant, especially compared to his brother or his classmates and kinda internalized the idea that the things he did weren't good enough.

that is, until he met Reigen.

mob comes into the office after school looking really upset and disappointed, Reigen instantly notices this. Mob sits down at his desk and hesitates a bit before reaching for his bag and pulling out his folder, pausing and staring at the folder laying on the table before picking it up and pulling out his homework for the day.

Reigen knows that something is up with mob, but he doesn't want to push so he waits to see if mob talks about it himself. For a while they both just sit there in silence, the faint sound of a pencil scratching at paper and a pause for a bit and then it continues. after a while mob gets up and walks over to Reigen's desk.

Mob just stands there for a moment before lightly tapping Reigen on the arm. Reigen turns to mob and mob quietly asks him to check his work. It's not an unusual thing for mob to ask but Reigen can hear in the way his voice trembles and he stutters while asking and that his whole body is slightly shakey that something is wrong.

Reigen quickly checks his work and tells him that everything is correct, and he did a great job. mob nods and smiles before taking his paper back and turning to walk away when Reigen stops him. Mob, confused, turns back around and Reigen asks him what's wrong.

Mob tries to deny anything being off about him at first but gives in shortly and admits that he got a 70 on his math test that day and he knew his parents were going to be upset. Reigen is confused as to why his parents would be upset, that's not a bad grade. Mob tells him about how Ritsu is super smart, and his parents always compare his work to Ritsu's and say that it's not very good, even when he gets higher 70's or lower 80's.

Reigen is upset that his parents would do that but doesn't let his emotions get the better of him and quickly turns to comforting mob. he tells him that his works is great, and that schoolwork is much easier when your younger and that it's not right of them to do that. Reigen tells mob that he's doing a great job and that he's so proud of him. Mob cries and hugs Reigen. they just kinda stay there for a while, warm and comforted in each other's embrace until there's a knock on the door and their next customer is here.

Reigen makes sure to praise mob extra for all the great work he does from that point on.
