A sign in front of a movie theater in March of 1933 says that, in view of the "national emergency," checks issued by local banks will be accepted for payment.

In memory of Roger Corman, who passed at the age of 98...
As requested by @algusunderdunk, this gif collection of Corman and Vincent Price's work over the years.
Rest in peace, sir. You're a legend. Tell Vincent we say hi.

Wish more adaptations would take the route like Mike Flannigan works or House MD or Hannibal. "Based on" in the sense of taking inspiration from source material and playing with them like dolls and saying something unique and creative with it outside of the material while maintaining key dynamics and themes that make it recognizable to the source.
Really sick of "faithful" adaptations that mean all the aesthetics and names and plots but told in such a soulless themeless mess. Did you think because the source already taught the lessons you don't need to say anything this time, you can just copy-paste?
The equivalent of cutting up the source to make a collage versus bringing it back from the dead wrong.
