Whispers of Rain

Chapter 3 -Will You Cleanse Me With Pleasure?

The legend of the Selkie plagued Dew’s mind, the thought of the Selkie only being able to come ashore as a human, but it would have to shed its skin to do so. And couldn’t return to the sea without his skin to start their siren song again. Was Dew’s abduction Rain’s loss of his skin? Could he return to the sea again? Could he find comfort again? Or would he forever be plagued with the loss of Dew, taking his other form with him? Their connection was so strong they were half a ghoul without the other.

Dew found himself on a beach, watching the ocean, seeing Rain in the distance, dancing in the waves. He wished he could join him but kept his distance, he would only slow Rain down. So he watched the perfect grace he possessed as he jumped through the water, gliding silently through the crystal blue to find small shells or to play with the sea creatures he found.

He was a sight to see in his element, truly breathtaking. Dew remembered that first time he saw the water bead on his skin. Was that really only less than a year ago? The kiss they shared in the water, magical. As his mind drifted to those times, it was as if Rain knew he was thinking about him and turned to look back at Dew. A coy smile played on his lips as he started walking towards his mate on the sand.

Soon he was close enough he could plop on the towel next to him, drenching Dew with the water on his body as he leaned in close to his side. “What are you thinking about, baby?” He asked as he melted into Dew.

Dew couldn’t answer, his breath taken away by the slow kisses Rain was placing on his bare chest as he snuggled. When he didn’t answer, Rain laid his head in Dew’s lap and looked up at him with his beautiful blue eyes, the corners of his mouth in a pout that Dew didn’t return his affection quicker.

“Otter?”

Dew looked down at Rain, brushing his black hair behind his pointed ears, the dampness keeping it in place, instead of springing back like it normally did. He ran his fingers along his cheekbones, over his brow, the lightest touch on his fluffy eyelashes as he fluttered them closed, his straight long nose, trailing further down to his lips.

A smile graced Rain’s lips to match the one on Dew’s. The finger on his lips traced the cupid's bow, featherlight, making Rain’s face scrunch in surprise at how ticklish it was. As Dew traced his lips, Rain quickly opened his mouth and stuck his tongue out to lick at the finger that slowly dragged along it.

He could hear the sharp inhalation under Dew’s breath, pleased that he surprised him. Dew continued running his now spit-soaked finger along the outline, the saliva glinting in the sun turning his crimson lips into a sparkling mirage.

“Stunning,” he whispered under his breath. The reverence in that one word melted Rain’s brain with affection for Dew.

“I love you, baby.”

Dew gazed down at him, with half lidded eyes, his fingers moving from his lips to rest on Rain’s hip, while the other ran through his damp hair. “I love you. Though, I feel like that doesn’t even describe the feelings I have for you. Love is maybe a tenth of the power I feel.”

“You consume me Rain, I want to crawl into you and never leave. The feelings I have for you are more infinite than the amount of stars in the sky, the damned souls in hell, these grains of sand that support us. I can’t even tell you the depth of my feelings, it seems inadequate, what did I do to-to…”

His words, cut off by Rain lifting his head off his lap to bring his spit-soaked lips to Dew’s in a devastatingly passionate kiss, wrapping his arms around Dew’s neck to bring him down on the blanket beside him.

They stared into each other's eyes as they memorized the lines of each of their faces, the curve of their bodies, the feel of how well they fit together, perfectly. They slotted their legs together, hands ran along each other's sides, occasionally dipping lower to run along a hip, higher to run fingers through each other's hair.

Rain nuzzled into Dew’s neck, slotting his head under his chin, still grasping onto one another, their hold never breaking, as if they couldn’t get close enough. Rain ran his nose along Dew’s pulse to the scent gland behind his ear, taking in his fire smell, drenched with water, moaning at the scent, his lips brushing over his pulse points, tongue darting out to taste. Like burnt marshmallows, sweet and smoky.

“Your arms feel like home, when they are wrapped around me,” He mused into Dew’s neck.

“You are my home, baby. Always.”

They both sighed, content in the other's arms. Not moving along to escalate the feelings, but they could both feel the desire building under their skin. The heat of Dew’s body, the cold damp of Rain’s, as fingers ran along the other it was like conducting electric currents everywhere they trailed.

They were alone on this beach, Dew couldn’t remember if it was too early in the morning, or too late in the evening. The sun’s golden hues casting the perfect light. The smell of old coconut sunblock, sun kissed warmed skin, scenting the air. The heat permeating both of their bodies to different extents, Rain would never be as warm as Dew, Dew never as cool as Rain.

Both comforted in the fact that they were truly alone, their glamor had dropped long ago. Their tails laid entwined. Dew’s with its spade tip, tinged in oranges, reds, and golds over the gray color of the length. It looked like it could ignite any minute in a fiery display.

Rain’s softly tapering, the flowy fins reminiscent of a blue paradise fish, the tendrils at the end, iridescent, catching the glint of the sun as it turned.

Most didn’t know that his tail ends would change depending on his emotion, Dew of course did. The blue sparkle was when he was at peace, happy. They came close to almost standing straight up, in search of Dew’s body, getting slightly purple on the ends when they couldn’t reach, in disappointment.

Dew loved teasing him, the petulant expression on Rain’s face as he looked at him, bottom lip threatening to slip out. Hey there! Been a while 😅

Let's just say I've been going through many different fandoms as of now. And unfortunately I'm not able to tell you all a lot about it. Now that I have a blog specifically for my onceler content I thought it’d be a good time to go over my boundaries for shipping my ocs so that you dont have to worry about asking me directly :3

The basic criteria all applies

Don’t do anything gross like shipping them with minors or animals

No non-con, age-play, etc

Don’t infantilize my characters

Just general stuff like that

Nsfw is fine! Just use basic etiquette and tag it accordingly! Minors please dont draw nsfw of my characters.

My personal boundaries

Please do not ship mainverse or high school AU Pink and Cupid! Due to their backstory its very icky to me

Shipping Valentine and Powder (Pirate AU Pink n Cupid) and Truffula Flu Pink n Cupid is ok and even somewhat canon.

Ships with mainverse Pink may have potential to become canon, but do not expect a ship to become canon (looking at you E-Pink)

For example! I do not care if you ship Pink and Hobo, in fact I find it rather cute sometimes, but it is not canon so do not get upset if we bring up the fact that they are strictly platonic!!

Nothing with mainverse Cupid will be canon mostly due to the fact that he is aroace, but I don’t mind ppl shipping him! I know some of yall ship him with Hobo and I will sometimes entertain stuff like that on the blog but, again, it will never actually be canon.

Pinkcest is fine lol. I sometimes draw Main Pink x Powder, but if ya wanna ship Pink x TFlu Pink or TFlu Pink x Powder that’s chill too.

I personally don’t vibe with Cupidcest for a few reasons, but do it if you want I guess (I’d rather you didnt)

Do NOT ship highshcool au Cupid and Valentine (Eros and Father Evangeline) first of all Eros in that au is a minor and Evangeline is a teacher, and secondly they’re legit related in that AU

I think mostly everything else is fair game unless something I didn’t think of comes up. I think shipping is fun and enjoy seeing you guys having fun with it

My other onceler ocs Bram, Moth, and Pearl are all fair game but I don’t really have any content of them up yet.

Is William actually lore posting??? Is it about their AU?? No, it isn't BUT I AM LORE POSTING-

Ramblings of an insane person below 👇

Axel: Axel was originally supposed to be an offhand side character who appeared in an episode about astrology, though due to his personality who for some reason grew a niche amount of fans, he was often seen being clumsy, causing mischief and examining anything astrology related. Though, it is speculated he helped in the shows cancellation due to his outfit designs and implications of a relationship with the local writer and Liberian of the show, Elliot. He was said to have been a moth from a distant planet, this was presumed to either be Pluto, Neptune or the moon.

Elliot: Elliot first appeared in an episode teaching younger audiences how to read, count and different languages. He was said to be stern, mature, calm and easily annoyed by others. He was said to have a love for baking, writing and reading. His origins are unknown and whatever audio found of him is distorted. We could make out a French accent though, it was also implied that he had a relationship with Axel.

Galene: Galene was a hair stylist and fashion designer, the spider puppet only appeared in two episodes but still gained a decent amount of fans, there isn't much we've uncovered about her due to her audio clips all being distorted and destroyed

Belle: Belle was the town farmer and supplied most if the fruit and produce to Howdy. She was also Eddies older sister, it was heavily implied that she had only moved here due to some issues wherever she used to live. She was one of the more cheery characters. She appeared in around 10 episodes

Kylie: Kylie was a curious character. She was Eddies chaotic younger sister. She was consistently cancelled and then re aired due to parents seeing her as a bad influence for their young daughters. Despite the crews desperate attempt to make Jer more friendly she still remained just as a troublemaker as ever. She was often see in episodes with the character 'Robbie Wright' (@crazycaoscornpop)

Lilly: Cupid's twin, they were often seen as arrogant, egotistical, cocky and narcissistic. Only appearing sweet to another character Vinny. Which was rare. They appeared in 3 episodes before the show was cancelled.

Vinny: Vinny was the local mad scientist, or at least that's how they tried to portray him. The character was said to be a last minute decision and was made with cheap materials due to the lack of budget they were given, resulting in tears in the felt. Which they then turned into something they could make lessons about. He often appeared in episodes talking about the safety of what to do when making arts and crafts. Unfortunately, due to him being a last minute decision, this character wasn't able to have a voice actor and only communicated through writing on a note pad he carried. This character is now assumed to be nonverbal due to this and it is very heavily implied this is true.

Virtual sketchbook #3

For my sketchbook, I chose Portrait of Madame de Bourbon-Conti as Venus by Noel-Nicolas Coypel, a French painter. It is an oil on canvas and is 54 3/8 x 42 in. (138.1 x 106.7 cm) done in 1731 during the Rococo era. Beautiful pastels were used and soft colors on the flowers to show a warm presence. Madame de Bourbon- Conti is portrayed as a goddess, Venus, and is accompanied with cupid who has a string of flowers, and another baby behind her with a set of moth like wings. Her dress is silk with blue and pink pastels, and her hair is natural and pulled back. It appears they are sitting on a rocky ledge that overlooks a body of water with a beach. The painting is well lit with little contrast. Madame also appears to be sitting on a royal blue chair to show hierarchy. I would say Madame’s silk dress is very emphasized and detailed in the painting. There is flowing rhythm in her dress in my opinion to help show the silkiness of it. Scale is used when she is placed next to cupid and the other baby with moth like wings to show her size compared to theirs.

The artwork makes me feel warm and happy in a way. Madame has as soft presence and her slight smile and the young children around bring me a feeling of safety. The soft pastel colors and well lit picture doesn’t bring me any negative feelings, and I think it’s beautiful. The string of flowers all around her, the children, and her long silky pretty dress tells me she has a sweet character.

Coypel is known to do religious drawings. Noël-Nicolas Coypel (1690–1734) was a French painter of the Rococo era, known for his mythological scenes, religious compositions, and portraits of the French aristocracy. Madame de Bourbon-Conti was a princess and a descendant from the House of Bourbon. The Coypel family were a French family of painters whose work over 3 generations marks the progress of history painting in late 17th & early 18th century France. Noel-Nicolas’s work is distinguished by its artistic value. Noel-Nicolas was born in Paris and taught by his father and the Academie Royal. In 1714, he married Fran Oise Legendre. He was at first over-shadowed by his successful half-brother, Antoine, but eventually Noel created many successful compositions. He did many religious paintings. Noel’s own style matured with carefully planned well-lit compositions and an engaging use of his favorite female types. By 1733 he was a professor at the Academie Royale with a fine career. Unfortunately, he died the following year after a domestic accident. Coypel also painted modellos for the Gobelin Tapestry factory.

The pose is informal. She is seated on a blue cushion, showing her royal status. Leaning forward, she glances back over her shoulder. Her hair is natural, and the asymmetrical pose of the Rococo reminds us of change and fragility of love encounters. Her body faces our right, but she looks to the left encouraging us to be involved in where she is looking. The whole painting is a representation of the Rococo era. There’s elegance shown through the light, pastel colors in Madame’s silk dress, the flowers, the pink cheeks, the pastoral background.

The portrait of Madame de Bourbon-Conti by Noël-Nicolas Coypel is a great painting of Rococo art, showing the elegance, refinement, and aristocratic ideals of the era. Through his skilled use of style and technique, Coypel not only captured the physical likeness of Madame de Bourbon-Conti but also the cultural and personal significance of her position within the aristocratic circles of the century in France. The portrait presented both as a personal memento for her family and as a statement of her family's status and influence.
