How NCT 127 would be on bed--
Mark lee is a groan type of man, he just can't keep his mouth sealed, groan by the throat. Just how hot is it and he'd curse like it's a prayer, praising you like some goddess that he'd be on his knees for, no ends.
And Johnny? He is a total man. He sighs so sensually, probably curse between every breaths he took as he slip some praises for you, but not much cause he got a filthy mouths and thoughts clouding up there. He'd probably calling u names
Yuta would probably vocal and a groan type of man. He praise once or twice, unlike johnny. He tend to barely doing since he knew you'd like praises, but mostly it doesn't just came out as you please, he'd make u beg to be praised instead.
Haechan would moan and vocal cause he is a brat, he'd moan right beside your ear, he'd love to know if you like everything he do "좋아? 좋아?그렇치" (not to be koreaboo for writing the hangul, but fuck he'd say those as he moans and groans right beside your ear, and easier to imagine.) He'd love to be praised instead. Just by ur voice and even better when you're vocal abt it, he'd come in his pants.
Jaehyun is a total groaner and no praises, he'd curse the fuck out of you, following with his deep laugh as he watch you being desperate for his praises.
Taeil isn't vocal he'd groan but he'd bite you to contain his own voice, the intensity having sex with him is overwhelming he is more into the soft ones. No rough, make love to this man is the right thing to do.
Jungwoo is pretty much like haechan, he'd love being praised but he is filthy like johnny he'd make you beg too, a total dom. You know that sly smile or smirk he has, yup you'll see that often as he stares u down being a desperate whore for him.
Lee taeyong would be a total praise he groans a lot and loud as fuck, "Hooly fuck- look at you- look what you did huh? You did so fucking good babe- fuck." Yup, him moans and groans and dirty talks in english, boy he gets fluent in english for this or sumn. makes it even better to be heard.

I didn't include any "I speak Korean, but can't understand it" kind of variations, cause I don't think that's possible lol

fuck horoscopes what's your fetch modus and strife specibus. i will judge you for this btw but in a lighthearted way
fetch modus: (this is gonna take some explaining) i call it "blockscript" modus
so! context: i make conlangs and writing systems as a hobby, and my fetch modus basically dependss on the structure of one of those scripts: it's vaguely comparable to both hangul and devanagari; in the sense that consonant clusters and sometimes multiple syllables can fit into 1 compound phonetic "block"
each captchalogue card contains not 1 object, but one such phonetci "block", and i have to stack the correct sequence of cards to phonetically spell out the word
this also means i can use common phonetic components in multiple "words" depending on the situation to save on cards, for example
(im not sure how well im explaining this and i ill provide a visual example later if you want me to, but like, ive spent a lot of thought on this thing)
and then
strife specibus: i have 2 that work in conjunction!
-scrapkind (basically whatever counts as a "broken rigid object")
and
-tanglekind (knotted cables and ropes and webbing etc. mostly non-lethal on its own except if i start strangling it can however bind objects together too!)
-> bound-together "scrap" into disposable weapons made of random junk, as well as snares and tripwires etc
it's a specibus for fighting dirty and to cause infected wounds and possibly tetanus
(based on actual weapons i used to make from random copper pipes and cables and bits of bamboo)

https://www.tumblr.com/tyunclouds/747388080303095808/why-do-so-many-people-spell-kim-sunoos-name
sunoo is just the stage spelling he uses! seonwoo is his real name. it’s all spelled the same in hangul though which is why it might be a little confusing. the boyz sunwoo also has a different spelling, yet written in hangul it’s the same! 선우 = sunoo/seonwoo/sunwoo.
I am learning Korean and I do know that the Korean spelling is all the same, but I appreciate you for going out of your way to give me this information regardless.
I had said it in the tags mostly, but I can say it again here for clarification on my confusion: If the Korean spelling is exactly the same, then it feels like there is no real point in Romanizing it differently when Kim Sunoo (김선우) and Kim Seonwoo (김선우) are the same person. I can spell Sunghoon's name Seonghoon and Seonghun and Sunghun, etc., but that would only cause unnecessary confusion as he's known as "Sunghoon" to all speakers who use a Latin-alphabet. Same thing applies to Jungwon (with spellings like Jeongwon, Chungwon, etc.). I am aware The Boyz have a member named Kim Sunwoo and am aware why the spelling distinction between Kim Sunwoo (The Boyz) and Kim Sunoo (ENHYPEN) has been made, but if it is literally for the same person, I'm confused why people insist it is his "real name" when the "stage name" is already his real name. It is the same confusion I have of people absolutely insisting to use Jeongguk when it is spelled the same in Korean as Jungkook. It just feels like it's completely unnecessary and will confuse people who don't know the members 😭

Ugh can't sleep. Have to leave in 5 hours for a post surgery check up.
These last two weeks have been weird. Fatigue caused me to sleep at weird times, for odd amounts of time.
Healing from this surgery is difficult because I haven't really been in pain, so I'm not taking the pain meds, and no pain means I'm doing things I'm not supposed to. Pretty sure I popped an internal stitch. ☹️ I'm not supposed to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, stretch, etc. Do you know how difficult it is to NOT bend over? I've been good at not lifting anything heavier than a few pounds, but I'm having trouble not doing chores. I tried to stay in bed more the last 2 days. But I'm having trouble focusing on the things I can do while in bed. Tuesday I watched so many MinSung videos, and Wednesday I mostly read skz fanfics. Limiting my activity is hard!
Lesson learned: post surgery restrictions are for your safety. Just because it doesn't hurt doesn't mean you're okay. Rest!
At least 4 more weeks of restrictions. Ughhhh. I hope I can focus on the fun things: read that book, build that Lego set, start studying ASL or Korean Hangul. I should try to accomplish something before I go back to work.

Oh I have heard things about Going Seventeen. Maybe once I listen to a bit more of their music, I then like to watch dance practices and stages, and THEN I'll give the reality show a go. Thank you for the recommendation though, and the song recs are definitely going on my listen to later list.
It's really interesting how our various biases feel different to us and sort of serve a different purpose, if you will. I don't want to give myself away so I'm going to be purposefully vague here, but one of my Ateez biases is so unbelievably attractive to me, mostly physically but also some major parts of his personality too, so I guess he's what you could call my type although i never really thought I had one hahaha. And another bias I feel like he's literally me, because we're so similar in many ways, but I also feel the need to protect him as well, and perhaps it's because I feel that strong connection to him.
Ah, so Wooyoung has joined the bias line officially then? What about your logbook series, you're going to have to add him to that too 🤣🤣 I agree, he really is the definition of a bias wrecker. If you were ever to change your url to a combination of your Ateez biases instead, it would be so long hahahha woohwayungi maybe?
I think I'm starting to get some ideas for what to make you. I really want it to be something you'll love so I'm putting a lot of thought into it. If you had to choose a favorite era for all four of your boys, what would you pick? Is there any particular styling you like on them? Or a favorite hair style/colour? No detail is too insignificant!
Let me know what you think of the songs! 🥰 What are some of your favorites from atz??
I’ll continue under a read more cause…. This got long hahahahahah
Yeah.. Wooyoung is officially there, he has his tag and is mentioned on the pinned post BUT he is slightly under the three og ones (at least for now…); When I had my “click” moment of realizing and accepting he was a bias as well I did stop think about what I was going to do with the logbook series hahah But for now I decided to keep it just with the tall line… Wooyoung already has a lot of content (Hwa too but 🤫). Maybe in some where he has a way too iconic scene I’ll add it as a bonus hahahah
Ooohhh good question! With svt I made sure to use the first, second and third syllable of each of their names, but I with four biases that wouldn’t work hahahahah I guess to follow the same logic I can start the url with “Jeong” to represent both Yunho and Wooyoung since in hangul they do have the same surname (and I’ll go with Yunho’s romanization since he was here first hahah).. so the url would either be jeongseonggi or jeongminhwa 😂😂
I technically also have to redo my header and add baby Woo… but I lost the original file and right now I’m being lazy 😗✌️ hahahah
And AAHH you are getting me excited for my gift!! Hahah I’m also really excited to learn who you are!!!!
So for the looks and eras…. I’ll try to be concise; I’ll give two hairtyles/two eras for each hahaha (btw this reminds me of Jazzy’s little Christmas project in which I absolutely clogged the tags of the post with some of my favorite looks of only TWO biases btw and then later saw that everyone was going for one specific thing… 🙃 guess I got carried away, I just wanted to give her options!! I hope I didn’t make her feel like she had to use it all hahaha)
• So for Hwa… Pink Hwa of course and whenever he has the ashy/grey blond hair… So Wave and Fever Part 1 eras 😘👌 (no matter the color, I feel like the best styling for him is the under cut) and I have to mention the MOST PERFECT THING I’VE EVER SEEN: The look with the cropped suit for the A to Z album...    •  For Yunho his Ethernal Sunshine/Fever Epilogue blonde hair give me major golden retriever vibes so... yeah hehehe and his styling for Immitation (which I guess is pretty basic so is also the styling for various eras but like) major boyfriend vibes. Honorable mention to Rhytm Ta Yunho <3 •  So, picture this, I started biasing Mingi when he was still on hiatus based on “old” content, so for the longest time the standard image I had of him was his red hair, ginger Mingi holds a very special place in my heart; Then he came back full power with the grey hair!! Which for me had its peak performance during the Fever Epilogue era (wolf Mingi 🫶) as you can see Fever Epilogue was a VERY GOOD comeback for me, it is also my favorite album overall Honorable mention: whenever he wears glasses •  And finally Woo! One word: THANXX!!! give me the bandanas and the ponytail!! YAS and OF COURSE Oreo Woo (or as I like to call it: Raccoon Woo)... Kingdom last half, AOTM... this look was superior in so many ways (I also have a post about my favorite looks of his so...)

So what my June-July study plan ENDED UP being:
Clozemaster experiments - mainly going by common words or fast track (listening game mode), or radio mode (so just listening in background generally - which I could do more if I tried). I’ve been doing mostly Japanese and a bit of Chinese, most days.
Reading guardian (partly L-R method, partly just re listening to chapters, partly redoing old chapters, partly just reading the actual physical book in my hand just... in general engaging with the audiobook and textbook lol)
Reading tiny bits of textbooks/study books (very tiny bits, just random stuff basically, watched a little of that YouTube Learn Korean in Korean cause it’s cool tbh.. I rediscovered my Barron’s At A Glance Korean book, which btw the At A Glance books are all great they have grammar guides and pronunciation guides and a bunch of useful words they’re compact but very nice I used to have a French one).
Language Exchange 1-2 hours a week. Not much but it’s regular and requires me to speak and write 30 min to 1 hour a week so it’s more than I had to have an active vocab before this lol...
Basically I’m busy with things. Anyway I will mention at the end of July if Clozemaster’s been useful! I am fairly sure I’m just planning to keep doing this stuff through July. I have other books I wanna read and clozemaster easy to just do randomly, and guardian I still want to keep reading.
My thoughts after just a few days are: I like Radio mode mainly because I will actually do it (whereas flashcards I will forget and am not always in the mood if I remember). I like that I see text during Radio mode if I want to look (again like flashcards but I don’t have to remember). I like that clozemaster specifically limits reviews per day so you always see a mix of new and old sentences (which is good since I get demotivated by reviews-only). I actually am noticing some clearer understanding of some parts of Japanese, mainly because I’m seeing SO MANY sentence examples for each grammar point and word (in the common word track), whereas in Nukemarine’s LLJ memrise courses I didn’t usually see “weird to me” but super common grammar early on and regularly at random.
So I feel like these clozemaster sentences are much more similar to stuff I ACTUALLY see in manga etc grammar wise and word usage wise - as in a mix of politeness levels, some shortening of common words, a mix of whether it’s in hiragana or kanji, different conjugations and verbs stacked together and common phrases. Which if you’re a total beginner might feel drowning tbh. But I’m at a point where Kanji generally look familiar so it’s just sound being drilled in for me, and I know a lot of the basic N5-n4 grammar and bits and pieces beyond from other stuff, so I can recognize if I’m looking at adjectives or verbs doing something and if it has to do with politeness or grammar.
One thing I like a LOT about clozemaster and I’m not even sure if it’s intentional but it splits off things like なさい as “do”, like ください which is like please do X, so you can see like しださい - please do something, it splits of たい as “want” to, so したい want to do, 見たい want to see. And like if you’ve read genki you’re used to those endings as conjugations of verbs, but seeing them like this sort of like their own verb attached to another verb stem makes it easier for me to recognize the verb stems, and the conjugations and their specific purpose. I’m not explaining quite how it does it since I’m not looking at the app this second, but just this way of breaking down the words is something I haven’t really seen in textbooks, and usually word lookup apps only look up the word stem so you can’t click たい to figure out that part and if it’s part of a new word or part of a conjugation (and if so then what it means). Clozemaster also links all definitions to jisho.org so I can go read more thorough explanations.
I think the clozemaster sentences would compliment reading a grammar guide like my Japanese in 30 Hours, or Tae Kim (which helped me with grammar a lot), or Cure Dolly. Because these sentences are good examples of realistic in life stuff you might run into but not simplified to only have one “new” grammar thing per sentence. So grammar specific sentences made as examples would be nice as a comparison to get a better handle on the rules/concrete patterns (ohhh or my Japanese Sentence Patterns book). However I am pleasantly surprised to find few actual totally-weird sentences so far in Japanese or Chinese (just some not literal translations so far), so I do actually think yeah Clozemaster would probably be a relatively similar substitute to learning a language primarily by sentence mining (like people who collect 2k-20k sentences from media with around 1 unknown things per sentence and learn by studying those sentences with srs flashcards). I see the benefit in the sense that... again, these sentences have more frequent examples of grammar I actually run into in shows and manga, versus my learner-material-made sentences in Nukemarine’s Memrise courses and Genki that do NOT cover this stuff this early (or Tae Kim’s which only barely touches on a few of these in the first section).
However, of course being more like what I see in manga and shows means it’s also less transparent to understand (and explained less well), so it really does feel a lot like studying ones own self-made sentence cards just less geared toward you personally. So a person who enjoys sentence mining would benefit more just continuing to sentence mine probably, but for a person who only wants premade convenient stuff (hello), this feels like a good balance between Nukemarine’s much more learner-geared material and native-material sentence mined stuff.
I also happened to find audio files for glossika back when it was a book and! I have some opinions. Mainly that it is literally premade “audio flashcard files” which I love studying from. So I will be experimenting with using those at some point - I will say the old glossika books opened with summaries of super important grammar words, key words, and grammar, which is nice and reminds me of when I look up about 300 keywords and a grammar guide when I start a new language. I also like that glossikas audio files seem to basically be like JapaneseAudioLessons.com or my Chinese SpoonFed Audio files. Which I learn very well from, particularly listening skills and some shadowing practice. And the glossika files have real voices so that’s nice (compared to clozemaster which has phone voices).
I’d still like to read... a lot of the books I got... see I just am trying to get through some lol ToT
#June#June progress#ok so my brain was like LETS LEARN SOME KOREAN#and some things I realized? damn I really do know a LOT of Japanese. because just reading hiragana with ease? that’s something I learned!#and in Korean I absolutely can’t read Hangul well yet and I FORGOT what that was like. to get ur brain to get used to that and remember lol!#also my Japanese I know all the main particles and a lot of basic grammar and recognize a TON of kanji#when reading even if I can’t pronounce them. so I can look at a Japanese sentence and#parse it very well for subject object verb location tense particles keywords versus probably skippable words#which means if stuffs unknown mostly I can just target what to look up#but Korean I don’t even recognize particles on Sight and the mental DRAIN of trying to is a LOT I forgot Japanese used to#be so much harder. like Japanese is still hard to me. but NOT as hard as it was as a beginner.#whereas Korean reminds me how hard it was lmao. just like. Japanese has reached mu critical beginner point#where I can start reliably reading with a dictionary if I want to. which took 6 months for French. 8-10 months for Chinese#took 2.8 years for Japanese but it eventually happened lol ToT#so like. that means some stuff IS ok to read like some manga! my brain isn’t constantly struggling!!#and goddamn trying Korean I was reminded ToT. also it’s a TRIP because my Chinese is by far better than my Japanese#I know all the grammar when I read. and immediately know if a word is important or just a side detail. usually know most words in sentences#or all. the main hard part is just listening recognition to my less well learned words I can mainly only read. and shadowing cause my mouth#doesn’t wanna cooperate. but my Chinese is SO fucking far ahead. my Chinese isn’t quite at my French reading level#but it’s getting closer for sure.

okay this is a guide for reading romanized korean names I made specifically for the indoctrination of one of my tumblr mutuals as an orv enjoyer but it applies to all korean media. I tried my best to make this actually helpful but the way korean gets romanized is really inconsistent throughout different translations and it's honestly kind of. hell. and I'm also not great with ipa so I might be using it Not Right. I used this wikipedia article to help me though so it should be mostly solid. the format will be [most common romanizations] -> [ipa (example pronunciation)]. examples are american english cause that's what I know... sorry guys. I did my best to cover my bases so I hope this helps a little 😔 also all of this is under the assumption that you aren't striving for native-level pronunciation mastery so I'm gonna give shortcuts and not go into specific details
the source for all of this besides the wikipedia article is korean is technically my first language and I'm told my pronunciation is pretty good. that being said I've grown up in the us of a and have come to be more comfortable speaking english, having never received a formal education in korean, so if anyone wants to correct me. feel free
vowels:
a -> ɐ (spa)
o -> o (sword)
eo/u* -> ʌ (up) -- in the context of this vowel being sandwiched between y (j) and ng (ŋ) it might be spelled young instead of yung or yeong as usual
oo/u* -> u (rude)
ee/i -> i (free but keep it short)
eu -> ɯ (foot)
+ diphthongs
e -> e (rate)
ae -> ɛ (bet)
the above two sound really similar and aren't really distinguished much in terms of pronunciation in modern korean so. nbd
there are others like ui and w/e but I'm gonna skip ipa for those for now because a) these are sounds that just don't come up in english like at all so knowing the ipa probably won't help you and b) the ipa listed in the article really only applies when the diphthongs are being pronounced by themselves and they sound different in different contexts anyways which is usually how they show up so. there's not much point.**
I won't go over all the consonants, since they're mostly self-explanatory, so here's just the ones to note:
g -> g (gust, as opposed to just)
l -> l (pronounced like left)
the korean hangul character used is the same, but if it's at the beginning of the syllable it's usually romanized r -> ɾ (better; alveolar tap)
so roksoo is pronounced ɾok'su with an alveolar tap like the spanish r, not l like in left or r like in run. a note for names with "il" like gilyoung or pildu is that it's probably kind of awkward to pronounce the proper i sound and then the l so it's acceptable to shorten the i to rhyme with "pill" in english. I honestly think it's better that way than trying to make it fit by lengthening the i so that it sounds like "eel" like the animal.
doubled up consonants like in -ssi are just tensed, so like s͈. but the difference between tensed and untensed is subtle and really hard to get so don't worry about it too much. also a note that if s precedes i then it's usually pronounced (and often romanized) sh -> ɕ (sheep). that applies to "-ssi" as well so it's pronounced like sheen anyways without the tensed ss really coming through much
*yeah, "u" gets used to romanize two entirely different sounds. yeah, it gets really confusing. I'm sorry to say that I don't have much practical advice to offer you in knowing which one it is other than figuring out how a particular translation is doing it by looking for the absence/presence of one or the other. unfortunately, like i mentioned at the beginning, inconsistency is rampant in these things and so even that doesn't always work out. the orv tl that I read used sooyoung but also pildu, with "oo" and "u" respectively being the same sound. some people will even use them together within a single name like yoo (juː) joonghyuk (tɕuŋ'hjʌk) becoming yu junghyuk or even yu joonghyuk or whatever in which case. I'm so sorry ***
** I'm not just gonna throw you into the deep end though dw. when preceded by a consonant, how you'll most likely see it in names, ui -> i (free). for example, jung huiwon is spelled like that bc those are the hangul characters used but everyone pronounces it hiː. this'll often just be romanized as hee as well. the "won" in heewon is also a diphthong- it manifests as won but does not involve the o sound at all and is pronounced like wʌn. "oi" is another common one, as in the last name choi. likewise, when preceded by a consonant oi -> something like ɛ (bet). so, choi would be tʃɛ as opposed to tʃɔɪ.
while we're on the topic of weird last names. lee is the most common romanization for a very common korean last name (my last name, actually :o) that's actually just pronounced iː (feel). It's sometimes romanized as yi to reflect this, but I don't think I've ever seen it as i or ee. From experience, if that's how it's spelled, you won't ever get corrected for saying lee with the l, but just for the record that it's technically not the proper pronunciation.
***really the only way to work this out is getting familiar enough with korean names (most of which are pretty formulaic) to register what sounds are likely to appear in a name (du is possible, but dʌ isn't really; jʌ isn't a real korean last name i don't think). either that or leaning to read hangul and looking at the names in the original korean to figure it out. but neither of those are very practical solutions for casual enjoyers. sorry. another issue is figuring out how the syllables are partitioned. most korean names are two syllables. hangul has a really particular way of organizing syllables that doesn't really come through in english; some translators will opt to hyphenate names like kim rok-soo but not all do. the syllables are pretty obvious with some names, but others like sookyung (it's soo-kyung, as opposed to sook-young) are a bit harder. the only good reliable solutions for this are the two I mentioned earlier which again. are more complicated than you'd probably like. if you are willing though it isn't that hard to learn hangul at all it's considered a very logical and easy writing system
like I've said inconsistency is gonna be your biggest enemy in this kinda stuff. I am being a bit dramatic and it won't affect you that much if you stick to reading a single translation for one particular media but. I want to complain about this. it's so bad. btw localization is also a thing that happens sometimes, mostly for fantasy-type stories where the author had "foreign" sounding names in mind when they were writing them. for example cale henituse from trash of the count's family would be more like kaeil henituseu if the name was romanized instead of localized. this is also a source of contention ngl like cale obviously being the preferred tl, but alberu (the romanization(?) for a character in tcf) being generally used more often over the official localization alver
but anyways I know this is all really complicated but I'm glad you're getting into this kind of stuff I hope you like it and I hope this helped somewhat :] happy reading

Do you remember the last time you felt disappointed even if it was just a little? What was the cause? I didn’t like last night’s dinner too much. It was okay, it tasted quite good; but it’s not a dish I’m super obsessed with.
What did you do last Saturday evening? That was last night, and...I think for the most part I was just practicing Hangul with Nina. We also wrestled with Cooper to get a rag out of his mouth. Then when I headed to my room I just watched Run BTS until I fell asleep.
Do you/have you ever known anyone named Walter? Tell me a little about them. Nobody in real life; it’s too foreign-sounding a name where I’m from. I know Walter White from Breaking Bad though.
You must have seen some films with Robin Williams in them, right? Yes.
^So which one is your favourite? Good Will Hunting. He made me cry a lot there.
In your house, which one usually runs out first - shampoo or conditioner? Shampoo, since only the girls use conditioner.
Do any of your electronic devices need to be charged at the moment? Nah. My laptop’s currently plugged in and my phone has ample power in it.
Are there any TV shows/series that you've been really into watching lately? Not really. I don’t think my attention span was built for TV series hahaha. I’ve been trying to finally get on Season 4 of Bon Voyage though, and that’s been fun.
^Tell me a little bit about them. It’s a reality show that features BTS literally just traveling around the world on vacation. Season 1 was in Norway, Sweden, and Finland; Season 2 was in Hawaii; Season 3 was in Malta; and Season 4, which I’m currently watching, was in New Zealand.
^And tell me a little about your favourite character(s). The show obviously doesn’t have characters per se.
When you go to bed, do you wear pyjamas or a nightie? Or something else? Something else. I just wear whatever I’ve had on the whole day.
Is there anyone like an actor or singer, whose voice you find sexy? V.
Have you read many of the books that are considered literary classics? Not many, but I’ve read a few. Mostly for school.
^If so, do you have a favourite? Not really.
Do you enjoy any sweet fillings on sandwiches? Which one(s)? Sweet sandwiches aren’t really my thing; I prefer savory ones.
Tell me something positive about the town or city that you live in. There’s a lot of restaurants so I can easily fix whatever craving I happen to be having.
Can you name a book on your shelf that you've read multiple times? Undisputed.
^Is that one of your favourites? Sure. It’s one of the better wrestling memoirs out there. Many wrestlers seem to write for the sake of penning their own autobiography, so rare gems like Undisputed are very much appreciated.
Do you enjoy Tim Burton films? Which one is your favourite? No, not my kind of genre.
Do you ever laugh at yourself for doing clumsy or silly things? Yeah, sometimes.
^When was the last time you felt the need to do that? Earlier when I slightly panicked because I couldn’t find my phone until I realized I was holding it.
Has anyone you know taken up a new hobby recently? What is it? Angela bought her own paint-by-number kit a few weeks ago. I believe Reggy, one of my classmates from high school, has taken up crocheting as well.
How many people do you know whose name begins with the letter Z? One.
Were you woken up by any particular sound today? What was it? Nope, just woke up naturally as always.
Did you ever learn a language when you were in school? Which one? We weren’t required to. These days I’m taking Korean lessons, but it’s not for any academic requirement.
Did you play truth or dare much, when you were younger? Sure, but I always chose truth since I’ve never found it difficult to answer tricky or personal questions...
^What was one of the silliest or weirdest things you were dared to do? ...and because I hate doing dares. Hahaha.
Do any of your friends or relatives have a birthday coming up? It’s my mom’s birthday this coming Thursday; Nina’s that following Thursday; and Angela’s next next Wednesday.
If so, how old will they be? My mom will be 50; my sister will be 21; Angela will be 23.
Have you ever had a dream in which you met or talked to someone like a celebrity, or a fictional character? What happened? I literally had Jungkook show up in my dream just earlier lol. All I remember is he was walking on some sidewalk.
Is there an item that you received as a gift, but have never yet used? I don’t think so.
What were you doing 3 hours ago? Taking a shower.

» X1 reaction to another member hurting you Pt. 1
*accidentally*
Requested. I wrote this at 3 am so it probably sucks, sorry anon.
--------------------✨--------------------
Seungwoo
I think he'd be more angry at you than at the person who caused your injury because so often had he forewarned you of the 'hazards' of hanging out with the boys as they could sometimes be a bit too heedless around you.
And yet, here you were, with the most extensive, agonising gash across your arm, courtesy of Dohyon, who had, by a twist of fate, propelled you towards the ground during a harmless game of football.
Seungwoo wouldn't reprimand Dohyon, mostly because he expected an exhibition of clumsiness like this from him, but not from you. Thus, you must prepare yourself for a lifetime of excruciating reminders on how you can't be trusted around the members, and how you must always be under the protection of the great Han Seungwoo, who has taken over the task of keeping out of harm's reach.
Tumblr media
Seungyoun
Seungyoun is a pretty chill guy. He loves the members, especially the younger ones. But the only time his love wavers is when he sees you sitting by the threshold of his dorm room, attempting to disguise a ghastly abrasion on your knee. The moment he finds out the painful injury was caused in a game of tug of war with the younger boys, he'd try his best to maintain his calm posture, to not glare at the sullen boys' faces every other second.
But it'd be hard task because every wince of pain he heard from you pulled at the knots of his heart, causing him perhaps even more pain than the injury caused you. He'd definitely not treat the boys indifferently because of the incident. Rather he'd opt to give them a long, informative lecture on how they must adopt a more delicate approach whenever they hung out with you.
"It doesn't even hurt that much, " you'd reassure him, but even then, he probably won't let you really around without assistance the whole day.
Tumblr media
Wooseok
Wooseok would definitely not show a expressive reaction to when he first finds out about your injury. He'd make sure to treat it well, either with bandages or some sort of a soothing ointment, making minimising your pain his top most priority. All the while he'd reassure you that the injury was nothing big, and that the pain was ephemeral, something you'd overcome easily.
But in his heart, he had already devised a thousand ways in which he could rebuke the other guys on their harsh behaviour, be it accidental or not. But you knew him better than anyone else, so the first thing you said when he was about to leave your side for the first time since he discovered your wound was,
"Don't say anything to the boys, it wasn't their fault."
"Well, it kind of obviously was."
"Wooseok..."
An elaborate display of your puppy eyes was all he needed to quench the rising fury in his chest.
Tumblr media
Yohan
Yohan would be oblivious to your injury at first, thinking it was merely a result of your occasional clumsiness, but the moment he learns it was actually caused by a slip of Seungwoo's otherwise careful hands while cutting up some fruits, he'd be pissed. Seungwoo would apologise repeatedly for the tiny cut he caused, all while you assured him it was no big deal. Yohan would only grimace at himself for leaving you alone, thinking it was his ignorance that caused your injury at the first place. He'd sulk away from you, guilt evident in his heavy eyes.
You'd nuzzle next to him after cleaning up your cut, placing your head on his shoulders
"It's not your fault."
"Yeah... But I shouldn't have left you alone."
You laughed at Yohan's naivety.
"You can't always be there for me, and that's fine Yohan. It's just a small cut, no big deal."
You'd wait a moment for Yohan's face to change, smiling only when you see the weight on his facial features lifting into a reassuring smile.
Tumblr media
Hangyul
Hangul would not bother too much unless you've been hurt really bad. I don't know but he strikes me as the kind of person who'd try to take the situation in a lighter mode. He'd probably throw in a joke somewhere between bandaging your bruise/injury up. But after that, he definitely would give you a mini lecture on taking caution when you're around the other boys.

can I ask how did/how are you learning Korean? im curious bc I wanna learn an asian language but it's p different from English so idk
okay so originally my friend bought me a korean textbook and i was like ‘i’m gonna be fluent in korean if i work through this whole book!!!’ but no, i learn by listening so that was actually a really bad idea lol but!! i did learn hangul (the korean alphabet) from that book
i then moved on to using duolingo which i highly highly recommend as it judges your skill set and gives you questions based on that and it literally teaches everything from the basics (i’ve also started chinese and japanese on duolingo but they’re pretty hard lol)
but the only problem with duolingo is that they teach the direct translation, not how/why it translates to that?? so i did also have a korean teacher for a period of time (only a couple months) and she pointed out to me what the patterns were and she also got me in touch with a korean person my age so i could practise my skills with her
overall as well, i’d say it’s so good to keep watching kpop videos and k-dramas!! and i’m so happy i did do that cause now i can watch videos and (mostly) understand without subtitles!!

Summer Lovin’
Tumblr media
Group: ULTRAVIOLET.
Featuring: All of UV, ab.z’s Nayun and Aeri ( @abzlnd )
Genre: Mostly just comedy!
Word-count: ~2.3k
Warnings: Some language but nah.
Summary: A companion piece to Avery’s! ULTRAVIOLET just want to relax and pass the time before they’re set to perform at a music festival, but ab.z’s Nayun has other plans for Siyun.
Tumblr media
“It’s too hot, and I can barely see my fuckin’ phone.”
Taesong’s voice is borderline a whine as he squints at the device in his hand, no doubt trying desperately to read whatever message Areum had recently sent him. It is sweltering, he’s right about that, and Siyun’s hand has hardly left the front of his silky shirt in the past twenty minutes, pulling it away from his chest in order to attempt the seemingly impossible feat of cooling down. In fact, the only two not complaining are Minsung and Jamie, the latter of which having said at least four times that the heat was nothing compared to home. King, on the other hand, is about as miserable as taesong.
The group is milling around waiting for the go ahead that the makeup artists are ready for them, and they are all equally thankful for the fact that they aren’t baking under layers of stage makeup that would have surely melted off by then. Siyun already feels like his hair dye is just about melting out of his hair, and he has to consciously suppress the urge to check the back of his neck to see if his hand comes away dripping in purple. After the recent change from silvery-blond back to a more saturated color, he’s still flinching like an idiot every time he sees a tuft of violet in his peripheral.
“So put your phone away and spend time with us, then, Taesong-ah.” Siyun replies to the other rapper, grinning at the absolutely disgusted expression he’s sent in return.
“What, and listen to Sungmin-hyung whine about being refused soju and Jamie yeehaw every ten minutes? I’ll pass, thanks.”
Siyun opens his mouth to reply, but is cut off by King dramatically swooning, slumping against the purple-haired boy’s chest with a groan. Siyun stumbles back half a step at the sudden weight, but he’s used to it by now, shoving the leader back into an upright position just as quickly. It is simply too hot for any prolonged contact, even if King were ridiculously needy when he feels like he’s not getting enough attention. Considering how unrealistic that quota is to meet, they all resort to mostly ignoring his pointed sighs and impatient grumbling for the time being. Unfortunately, any unbearable attitude King would usually have is only exacerbated by the heat, which drains their patience as much as it brings out only the bitchiest sides of each of them.
Maybe Taesong has the right idea, sticking his nose in his phone and waiting for the time to pass. The performances wouldn’t be for a few hours, and the group is more than well prepared, having gone through their setlist earlier in the morning. It’s nothing too special, just the usual few title tracks and a dance stage so King and Taesong could murder basically everyone watching, and being the impulsively natured boy group they are, they haven’t bothered practicing any further now that their designated sound-check and rehearsal time has passed. As King always says, if they fuck up onstage, it was meant to happen.
“Do you think someone would get me soju if--”
King is cut off by an unfamiliar and enthusiastic feminine voice, cutting through the sluggish, heat-induced reverie that has settled over the group.
“Hey! You!”
King whirls around immediately, brows raised and expression almost revoltingly hopeful.
“Me?” He rakes his hair back from his face, trying to make the action seem cool despite the fact that his dark locks are thoroughly dripping with sweat and not even remotely close to styled.
“Not you, hag,” She croons, “I’m talking to Siyun!”
King’s expression falls without hesitation, settling in what Siyun can only describe as his bitch-face before crossing his arms. “I’m not even that old.” His defensiveness and disappointment shift to shock, however, that mirrors Siyun’s own countenance once they absorb her last words.
She’s what now? Siyun blinks at her, hand coming up instinctively to point at his own chest, as if she has to be mistaken. Both of the girls coming towards them look vaguely familiar, and Siyun tries his best not to laugh at the manner in which the louder one drags a taller girl behind her, much to the latter’s evident dismay. The taller idol clearly wants to be anywhere else, and Siyun figures she may have been dragged along simply as moral support for the clearly younger fan, but he’s proven wrong once again.
“Siyun-oppa,” The shorter continues, tone positively saccharine.  “You’re single, right?”
Siyun blinks at her, mouth falling open in disbelief at the bluntness exhibited by the female idol. While he’s more than used to disrespect from the other members of ULTRAVIOLET, this sort of blatant flippancy is a bit unheard of from anyone else. Thankfully, years of Jamie’s bullying have prepared him for this, and Siyun keeps his expression only mildly affronted. She isn’t done yet, however.
“See, cause,” She yanks the taller forward, putting her on display like a butterfly on a corkboard...or, maybe a piece of meat at the butcher’s. “I have it on good source that this unnie right here likes Siyun and you should totally do something about it ‘cause she doesn’t have the guts!”
Siyun feels heat rise to his face within seconds. He knows he should bow or thank her or something, but all he can manage is a very nervous laugh, his hesitancy prompting a snort from Jamie that’s poorly covered up. Siyun’s brain is drawing a complete blank, staring at the older girl, and he finally snaps out of it as she  begins to nervously stutter.
It occurs to Siyun that the reception from the other members of ULTRAVIOLET clearly isn’t helping the already embarrassing situation, any. King looks bitter and as judgmental as ever (his few brain cells are probably still working on a rebuttal for the hag comment), Minsung is more interested in a vaguely-dick-shaped rock he found, Taesong is still glued to his phone...and Jamie is, predictably, leering like the nosy maknae he is. It’s up to him to be the group’s ambassador, yet again, and Siyun normally wouldn’t have an issue, but the idea that someone like this pretty girl is interested in him before any of the others...all common sense goes out the window, leaving only what he hopes isn’t too dopey of a smile.
He’s normally so good with names and faces, too, but all he remembers is that their groups had debuted at around the same time. Logically, he knows he could just glance down to read the boldly printed hangul on their shirtfronts, but his stomach turns at the notion of it seeming like he’s just staring at her chest instead. Rather, he wracks his memory, and while it’s a far less effective method, his brain does manage to conjure up imagery of glimmering stage outfits until oh!
“I’m sorry about, her…uh…she just–” Aeri (he remembers her name on his own, thank you very much, but a hopefully casual flick of his gaze towards her nametag confirms that) bows, and Siyun starts to mirror her instinctively, hands coming up in an attempt to reassure her, but the younger girl is already cutting in. He doesn’t hear what she says, too distracted by Jamie punching him playfully on the shoulder, probably in response to Siyun’s now probably completely red face. Maybe he can play the blush off as heat-related? The heat feels heavy and molten, dripping down his back and settling in the spaces between his ribs. A mosquito buzzes uncomfortably close to his left ear.
“No, it’s okay, really, I think--” He means to mention recognizing her and maybe offer some sort of compliment on their music, but King interjects.
“I think we need to go get ready.” He grumbles, already beginning to stalk off. Taesong follows without looking up from his phone, happy to leave the scene, and Minsung hurries after, his new rock still clutched in one hand. Jamie begins to urge Siyun after the group as the taller boy hesitates, bowing at the same time as Aeri, which prompts another bout of nervous laughter from the rapper as the crowns of their heads almost collide.
“Um, thank you, it was nice to m--” Yet again, Siyun is cut off, this time being bodily yanked by Jamie until he follows the group, face still warm as hell as they make their way into the shade to get their makeup finally done. Once they’re indoors and settling down, Jamie rounds on Siyun within a moment, grasping the elder’s face between his rough-palmed hands.
“Hyung, she was cute!” He practically shouts, squishing Siyun’s cheeks until the rapper lets out a prolonged whine of indignation. “Siyunnie-hyung has an admirer, oh, they grow up so fast!” The maknae cooes, feigning a swoon as he narrowly dodges a swat upside the head. “You should get her number, maybe try not to crash and burn next time. I thought you might throw up on her.”
“Jamie, please.” Siyun smiles tightly at him helplessly, holding up his hands defensively as the high energy Texan yanks at Siyun’s arm again and shoves him down into one of the makeup chairs. Siyun didn’t have a chance to blink before Jamie’s phone is out and AB.Z’s profile is pulled up and shoved into his face.
“Ooh, she’s from Florida…the land of alligators and the infamous Florida Man.” Jamie reads and embellishes, before breaking out in obnoxious laughter. “She’s taller than Sungmin-hyung.”
King glances up at the mention of his name, expression affronted.
“I’m tall enough to kick your ass, don’t test me. Ow, fuck!” The stylist ignores the leader’s yelp of pain as she combs through his hair with a bit more force than necessary, and Siyun fights down a bubble of laughter as she catches his eye in the mirror and offers him a wink.
“No one asked you, hag.” Jamie shoots back at the leader, and King looks as if he might haul himself out of the chair to break Jamie’s wrist if the makeup stylist weren’t between them. Unintimidated, Jamie continues. “God, she seems so sweet…the other one was Nayun, it looks like. I liked her vibe, she had major BDE.” Jamie scrolls through the group’s profile until he reaches the end, resting his chin dreamily on top of Siyun’s head. “You have to talk to her, promise me you’ll talk to her?” The youngest member is a hopeless romantic, and he pouts at Siyun in the mirror across from them, arms slung about the elder’s shoulders. He sways them both back and forth, Siyun a bit awkwardly from where he was sitting.
“I’ll try, okay? You know i’m not good with this sort of thing.” Siyun mumbles, sheepish, and he drums his fingers on the edge of the counter. While there’s certainly intrigue in dating, it’s not really something Siyun has ever let himself have time for. He tried to take up a more casual approach to relationships a while back, mirroring Taesong’s attitude then, but the long and short of it is that it made him feel absolutely awful. It had taken him weeks to get over the guilt of a handful of one-night stands, a consequence that no one else in the group seemed to understand. Since then, Siyun can’t remember the last time he had spoken to a woman he found attractive, beyond conversations where he didn’t realize he’s been flirted with until hours later, when it was too late to do anything about it.
“Excuse me? Look at yourself! Need I remind you who scored number six on that list of top 20 handsomest rookies of 2017?” Jamie insists, oblivious to the true root of Siyun’s hesitations.
“That doesn’t mean anything.” It’s much easier to stare at his tattoos rather than meet Jamie’s eyes in the reflection. “I just don’t wanna mess it up or scare her off. She probably just likes the idea of me and probably doesn’t want to actually get to know me, y’know? Most idols really aren’t like what they seem on paper, anyways. I didn’t get her number, either, so I doubt anything’s gonna come of it.” Not to mention the fact that Siyun doesn’t want to risk a relationship being publicized before he’s ready, not only for his own sake, but for the fans’.
“...Bullshit, but okay, think whatever you want.” Jamie backs off as a makeup artist approaches the two, shooing the younger out of the way. “I’ll leave you be, Romeo.”
“That’s such an awful nickname. They both die at the end, Jamie.” Siyun’s brows crease in the center at that, but Jamie waves off his concern.
“I know that. I read the manga version in middle school, thank you very much. Just shut up and think about it, okay? You’re a good guy, hyung...there are a lot of guys who’d be taking advantage of a situation like this, y’know? Just try to relax, and focus on having fun, for once! You deserve it.” For someone who seems to know more about obscure Animal Crossing facts than anything useful, Jamie can be remarkably insightful, at times. Siyun’s lips press into a thin line before he nods, trying not to melt at the endearing and brilliant smile Jamie shoots his way.
“I’ll do my best.” Siyun acquiesces as the makeup stylist begins to apply serum to his sweat-tacky skin, the scent of roses whisking away his tension.
When it comes down to it, his best is all he can really offer, anyways.

Actual history and Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung
I mentioned in a chat a while back that the King and Crown Prince in Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung reminded me of King Taejong and King Sejong.  Taejong is known for, among other things, being a tyrant and solidifying power and rule,  while Sejong is known for being a progressive reformer and creating Hangul.  It’s easy to see that replicated to a degree with the King and Crown Prince here.  Taejong also abdicated in favor of Sejong, but served as regent with Sejong effectively a puppet king for the first 4 years of Sejong reign.  In Rookie Historian, the King has made the Crown Prince his regent fro a time for training, but in many ways it’s in-name-only, with the King stepping in to overrule when the Crown Prince tries to, you know, change anything.
The show likes it’s references to actual history even though it’s about fictional royalty, of particular note is Hae Ryung’s reference to Yeonsan’s literati purges.  Another thing that I THINK might be a reference but I’m not sure are the mysterious Ho Dam and his book, which I suspect might be somewhat based on Heo Gyun and Hong Gil Dong.  The show hasn’t told us much about Ho Dam or his book (personally theory that might be a bit to much on the “secret babies” front:  Yi Rim is the son of the former king or crown prince who was overthrown/murdered by the current king, as I’ve mentioned before, and Hae Ryung is the daughter of Ho Dam) only that his mysterious book is sought after, and could possibly destroy the King.  Heo Gyun was a scholar and official during the reigns of Seonjo and Gwanghae.  He as a progressive thinker who dreamed of a radically reformed society.  His book Hong Gil Dong (well  there’s some dispute over whether or not he’s the actual author, but he’d still generally considered the author, as far as I know), very very loosely based on the historical thief of the same name, as well as the rebel, Im Kkeokjeong* was built around those ideas, and included the titular lead eventually founding a kingdom based on those ideas.  Anyway, Heo Gyun got exiled a few times for, well, sticking his nose where the kings didn’t think it belonged, and eventually was executed by Gwanghae for treasons.  (You can see this in an earlier episode of Hwajung.  If that was an accurate representation of how he was executed, then yipes.)  I may be completely off base with that one, and whether I’m right or wrong probably doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of the show, but it’s something I’ve thought of every time Ho Dam is mentioned.
Anyway, I got off track there.  Getting back to the possibility that the King and Crown Prince are based on Taejong and Sejong (also worth noting that Taejong murdered his own brothers to keep them from the throne, and it’s highly probable that the King murdered his own brother as well), I was reading recently about Taejong’s OTHER sons.  Specifically, Prince Yangnyeong, Taejong’s oldest son and original crown prince.  Yangnyeong was known for his calligraphy and literature skills (sound half familiar?) who very strongly believed that he didn’t have what it takes to be king (also sound familiar?).  He was, however, completely convinced the third prince, the future Sejong, was destined to be a great king (Still sounding familiar?).  For the record, prince #2 also thought their younger brother would be the best choice and took himself out of the running and potentially being sucked into plotting by running away to be a monk when Sejong’s elevation was pretty sure.  Given Taejong’s tendency to murder his and his kids’ in-laws, he was probably also hoping to avoid yet another murder spree if he stuck around.  Anyway, Yangnyeong was originally the crown prince, but got out of it by, well, pissing people off in court, marrying a peasant woman and causing so much ruckus that he got disowned, stripped of rank and kicked out of the capital.  At which point he pretty much went “good luck bro” in Sejong’s general direction and peaced out to the countryside, presumably with his latest wife (And others?  He had around two dozen kids with 6 women, and his descendants are, I think, supposed to be one of the larger Yi clans in modern Korea.) and spent the next 40+ years wandering Joseon.
While Yi Rim is younger and most likely a cousin instead of brother, there are definitely some similarities, whether deliberate or coincidental  (a benefit of your show involving a fake generation of royals is that you can cherry pick what historical figures you want to have bits and pieces of, as opposed to having to mostly operate within the confines of the royals you’re making an AU of), and I think we’re universally in agreement that Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung needs to end with the Crown Prince as king and Yi rim peacing out to the countryside where he can write his Joseon smut in peace.  (Presumably with Hae Ryung, though I also don’t want her to give up her position as historian, unless she finds another career to replace it.  We’ll see what happens.)
As a sidenote, I realized today well technically yesterday now) that this is the third sageuk where Shin Se Kyung’s character’s literacy is a core element of the show’s plot, though Boon Yi and Dahm were both much lower of the social ladder than Hae Ryung is.  I don’t recall literacy being as important with Cheonmyeong in Queen Seon Deok, but she was also smart and clever with spies and secret identities and whatnot, so it’s close to counting.
*Like Robin Hood, these commoners got gentrified over the years, including this particular book making the lead a nobleman’s son who becomes a king.

4/25
it’s currently 10 P.M, nearing 11 P.M.
on a normal day, I would most likely be asleep at this point, yet because of this stupid quarantine I don’t go to sleep until AT LEAST 12 A.M. I used to be an early bird, and to be honest, I thought I would get more annoyed and frustrated by my sleeping habits, yet i simply do not care. it’s very effective, i highly recommend it. (don’t actually listen to me. no thoughts. head empty).
i think i’m just more productive during the nights now because i spend most of the morning lying in bed in an attempt to sleep longer, and the afternoons and evenings are always a surprise. this quarantine has robbed me of my basic motivations and i have resorted to relying on my spontaneous bursts of energy i get as the day progresses. unfortunately, most of my bursts of energy happen at night. you want proof? it literally just turned 11 P.M. sometimes the motivation gods strike me at more reasonable hours of the day, which often may leave the evenings free to do whatever i please.
currently, i’ve binged 10 episodes of some thai series that i love/hate, but mostly love because the dynamic of the main characters are wonderful and they are so pretty i feel personally attacked whenever i see them on screen (i finished watching it at 2 AM, and had the urge to scream, cry, and punch something simultaneously, don’t judge me). but, i’ve also noticed that i’m... very critical? i don’t know how to explain it but somehow i’ve been nit-picking everything from the filming of the series like the composition of shots, the pacing of scenes, to how painstakingly long each clip is. like, where are the CUTS??? the SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS??? the camera angles???? where are they???? i normally do this whenever i watch shows or movies but i didn’t realize how nit-picky and critical i was until i started watching this particular show but i’m blaming this quarantine for my increase in passive aggressive levels. oops! (hi.)
anyway, i’ve also been attempting to learn korean! i learned hangul a while ago back when i first fell in love with kpop (shush) and this quarantine caused a resurge in my love for kpop. seriously, i’ve missed so much since the last time i properly sat down and listened to any kpop artists, i’m disappointed in myself. anyway, so i have like a base when it comes to reading hangul but its SO HARD, so i’m postponing learning how to read hangul for later. now, i’ve been slowly picking up vocab through a bunch of youtube videos and also listening to various kpop idols speaking and seeing what i can pick up. i’m not properly learning it because... school, but i think i might properly learn it during the summer! it’s a surprisingly fun language to learn and i desperately want to visit South Korea because its truly beautiful. i heard the subways are very clean and that the internet is to die for so SIGN ME UP.
anyway i think thats all i have for today. stan ALL of nct, day6, ATEEZ, and every other kpop artists that i love, watch 2gether, and uh i dunno, don’t forget to wash your hands lol
