i hate that im scared to write and i hate that im so picky with fics bc i have very specific needs to be fulfilled and it is hard to meet those needs...
i soooo bad desire zolusan, post wano specifically bc in my head thats when all three get together. wci is when sanji realizes his feelings for luffy– or rather accepts that he is in love with him (two years of pining im so sorry sanji) that and also finding difficulty in accepting his feelings for zoro too so basically: sanji being a mess
but idk zolusan mutual pining but they're all idiots. sanji has his own struggles, but imagine zoro's feelings or luffy's feelings. zoro keeping them internalized because it's not that important and wouldn't change a thing, yet he yearns. luffy... the guy is unpredictable imo. and i think that focusing on his perspective would be a lot of fun. he's already happy with what he has but he wants to be selfish and ask for more. idkidk words are hard but these three live rent free in my brain and they do not want to leave send help
(ALSO. imagine discussing the death pact and luffy finding out about it... unrelated to what i said but im talking about zolusan can u blame me... like. God!!!!!!!!!!! theres this one fanart where zoro does go through with it and luffy finds out and. Sighs.)

Fic: You're taking my heart by storm
Fandom: White Cat Legend (大理寺少聊游)
Relationship: Qiu Qingzhi/Li Bing
Chapter 1/? [read it on ao3]
A/N: based off the scene in episode 29, where Lai Zhongshu tries to wreck everything.
Lai Zhongshu storms into his estate with his stupidly loyal men held captive behind him, demanding that he do something about them, and the last piece of the puzzle that is Qiu Qingzhi slots into place.
The memory of Qiu Qingzhi staring down the shaft of the arrow at Yi Zhi Hua as if they knew each other resurfaces, unbidden. The way Yi Zhi Hua seemed almost afraid of Qiu Qingzhi–
(Then there was also the way Qiu Qingzhi had shielded him from the arrow, why he had doggedly kept at their tails during the Black Rakshasa investigation, demanding to have the case).
Ah, Li Bing thinks. This is why you were striving so hard for a promotion. This is why you distanced yourself. This is why you changed so much in three years.
He had once asked Qiu Qingzhi what it was that twisted him beyond recognition, what it was that took his childhood friend– his childhood love– beyond his reach. Li Bing could no longer understand the Qiu Qingzhi that returned from the war.
The one person he once thought he understood better than his own soul was now turned stranger, the one puzzle he could not solve.
But now he has been handed the last piece. Qiu Qingzhi morphed himself into one of them because–
To protect me? Just how much have you suffered, you moron?
He nearly unravels right there, overcome by the realisation.
He would have, if it were not for Chen Shi’s uncertain call of “Li-ye?” grounding him to reality.
And so he straightens his shoulders, fixing Lai Zhongshu’s smug expression with one of indifference as he calls out, “wait.”
What else could he do, other than to send these painfully loyal–innocent– people away for their own safety, lest they get hurt again on his behalf?
It is a heartbreaking realisation to come to, that Qiu Qingzhi might have been right to distance himself.
As long as it kept them safe, he would keep his distance.
(Except that they differed in one area.
Li Bing had been involved in this from the start, he chose to fight against whoever it was orchestrating all this. These men had nothing to do with this, before everything bubbled over and dragged them into it.
He would just have to prove to Qiu Qingzhi that he, too, has changed. He is no longer the sickly boy who needed his protection, he could hold his own against the world, even if he was alone.
No matter how much he feared being alone).

Are all the akatsuki members underweight? I remember reading that Hidan weighed around 57kg at 177cm and that Kakuzu weighed less than 65kg at 185 cm which is wild
Tbh I can’t tell if it’s because it’s a manga and Kishimoto just made everyone weigh less than what is realistic or if it’s because Kakuzu is mainly made up of threads so he doesn’t weigh that much
When thinking about these things, you need to take into account:
1. Averages for the country of origin.
Different regions have different distributions for traits like this. Averages vary based on what they are in comparison to. An average in one place will be seen as "abnormal" in a different place. So like, people from Nothern China tend to be, on average, taller than people in Southern China, so on and so forth.
2. Time period.
Naruto takes place in a psudo-feudal type Japan setting. The distribution for weight and height used to be different if you take the era into account. (If you are a keener, you can do a nutritional thought exercise based on what people commonly ate in feudal Japan, but I'm not good at it, and my weightlifting friends who know nutrition have weird regiments.)
3. Target audience for the story
This is the main explanation, but when you are creating a story with an audience of teenagers in mind, you need to take into account how they perceive the world. It doesn't have to be ultra-realistic. It can just exist to be related to by a teenager. It's part of the reason protags and all the characters are so young. On average, people tend to enjoy things where they can establish a quick connection to the character. To them, smaller numbers make more sense and are easier to comprehend.
Think of when you were 13 watching Naruto and thought 35-year-old Sasori was an old, ancient man. To how now, you look at the ages and height/weight ratios like, "This makes no sense/is concerning."
