Is it normal picking a name and feeling immediately that is yours, and it suits, and it would have been perfect to have been named that from the beginning? I'm just worried because that's not the experience of the trans people I know, they say it takes a while to adapt, and I think I may be choosing wrong? Dunno
that’s perfectly normal!
trans people have a lot of different experiences, and there are narratives out there that mention that they felt immediately attached to their name!
people are allowed to and have different relationships and histories with their new names. :-] and that’s completely alright!

hi!! if you’re not too busy! i’m non-binary and right now i go by Riven, but my last name is Ryan, and i feel like it sounds silly together. so if you could, i would really like some gender neutral names:) i really like the ones that are nouns and kind of punk or cottagecore. (like brick or ivy.) no specific meaning, just nouns that’d be good names and could go better with my last name!:) thank u so much!!
(Riven Ryan is a neat combo though! A lot of people (cis and trans) have the same beginning letter for their first and last name!)
Fletcher Ryan
Flynn Ryan
Glenn Ryan
Gwen Ryan
Jesse Ryan
Joey Ryan
Lux Ryan
Liz Ryan
Miles Ryan
Tempo Ryan
Velvet Ryan

Um, hi! I don't know about my label yet tbh, I'm exploring rn, but I'd like my name to be somewhat gender neutral/flexible? I really REALLY like name Pepper but do you think it could work as gender neutral? The thing is that I don't really know what my identity is yet and changing my name is a big stress for me, so I really don't want to do it multiple times. But also I know I won't keep my birthname because I never liked it in the first place. Sorry it's a bit messy but I hope you get the point
Pepper works!
Noun names tend to be the more gender neutral names, at least in my opinion.
I’d honestly use it! :-] A lot of cis people have noun names too, and noun names are pretty cool!

Hi! I would love some help with a new name. I'm Non-binary, so I would love a neutral name. I like names that sound like names victorian orphans would have in charles dickens stories, if that makes sense? (Like Olly.) My given name is Madeleine, and it would be great if there was a name similiar to that.

Hi if you're not too busy I have a kind important ask. My name's Jude and I was considering Ivo or Diogo for a middle name and I was wondering if you could help find maybe other spanish/portuguese middle names that would go well with Jude? Or if you think Ivo or Diogo also fit with Jude?
In terms of fit, I think the last name plays a pretty big role in whether or not the name fits.
Purely based on the first and middle names you’ve presented, I honestly really like both combinations (Jude Ivo, Jude Diogo).

any masc or nb names that have three letters?
(please do not call “gender neutral names” nonbinary. the reasoning is here.)
so using the word “non-binary names” to refer “gender-netural names” invalidates non-binary people who have or have chosen names that aren’t gender-neutral.
