all the fuckedupness of the lemonade leak aside, the others are going to have to realize that leo's actually a genius. your characterization of the boys is a bit different from the show (not bad or incorrect!) but in the show and movie they underestimate leo like all. the time. its kind of the whole point of his character. but in the lemonade leak leo is actually so scary. and hes s o smart to the point where hes practically an unstoppable force. in some epilogue of the story (hypothetical or otherwise) it would be neat to see the others sit back and just take in how intelligent their brother is and how little they might have understood about him before (because im on the edge of my seat hoping for a happy ending cause shits lookin pretty scary the way its going now ksgdhsdjdhfjfj) sorry if this interpretation is completely incorrect i just reread the lemonade leak and its eating my brain (/positive) no pressure to respond or anything!!

Leo's probably smart enough to know he's better off letting people think he's dumb. Because he doesn't just outwit his enemies, nope, he strangles a spider with her own strings.

I think Donnie doesn't really give a fuck about how genius and terrifying Leo is, because - just like Leo - he thrives off outsmarting an opponent. If the stakes weren't his twin murdering him to death until he's dying, Donnie would probably be having a normal saturday evening.

Like: You could be a coldblooded mob-boss! You could kidnapp & tie Donnie up! You could bring him to some uncharted island in the middle of the night with a bag over his head, and Donnie would probably go: "At least try to put effort into your pranks. My hands are free since Brooklyn, Nardo." I also bet Donnie sometimes just tapes Leo to a chair & treatens to perform the most horrific inhumane experiments on him, to which Leo goes "Dude, just tell me you want to hang out. Look I swear I'm not gonna speedwalk away again... If you put pictures in your powerpoint this time." I hc the twins just vibe with each other's bullshit. Like, Leon doesn't mind being taped to a chair in the name of science, and Donnie doesn't mind being kidnapped to remote islands in the middle of the goddamn night. Because they know exactly that if they get fed up or just want to leave, there'll be zero power struggle about it. (They just let the other go, bc they secretly respect each other, but shush) It's legit just how they communicate "Gimme your attention rn", because they are SHIT at talking xD

Raph probably doesn't care how terrifying of a genius Leo is either, because that's his brother who licks chocolate off his own foot.

Mikey would probably care, from the angle of "Leon, beloved brother, I need you to sit through so many lessons of Doctor Morality, your butt will be fucking square. :D <3"

(Betcha Intelligence is all situational friction anyway. It's a bag of marbles: Not about who has the brightest, but who rolls them across the existential playground best. It's about how many you can fit up yo nose at once.)

So like, yah. There definitly will be a scene were they realize how terrifyingly smart Leo is!

A Plan (Almost) Gone Wrong

Sum: You are Donnie’s partner. You often help them get intel on some real bad guys, and your job at a local strip club helps since that is an often popular hangout for notorious crime bosses in New York. So, when Donnie asks if he can accompany you to work to get some information, you don’t think twice about saying yes. It has some interesting consequences, but not the kind you’d expect.

When Donnie asked you if you would feel comfortable with him and his brothers coming to your work to try and get information on a particular mob boss, Tobias “Triggerman” Green. He was a regular at your club, The Cat Box, and you knew how dangerous he could be. So, you of course said yes immediately. Donnie and his brothers knew what you did for a living, so it didn’t bother you if they saw you at work. Donnie promised they would wear their cloaking broaches the whole time and wouldn’t interact with you to keep suspicion off of you. You listened to the plan and promised to help the best you could from the sidelines, and you didn’t think twice about it.

The night came relatively fast, and the plan was put into motion. You, of course, went about your night as usual. You wore a particularly revealing outfit, one that showed off your body beautifully. You did your makeup nicely, pushing your hair back and styling it the best you could as you waited for your cue. The plan was to wait until after you’re off stage and serving tables. Tobias would often request to sit in your section, so the boys already knew you’d get close to him. Your job was to place a bug on the bottom of his cup. It was small and clear, so he shouldn’t notice. The boys were here just in case, as a backup for you and to make sure the information they got was good.

Your stage name was called, so you quickly fixed your hair once more and stood behind the curtains. The lights dimmed as the song you requested started to play, something upbeat and provocative as usual. You may be helping your boyfriend get information, but that wasn’t going to stop you from trying to get as much money as possible from your regulars still. You entered the stage, strutting out and taking your time as you approached the pole. You firmly gripped it, allowing your body to spin around it as you got your leg up onto the pole. You did your normal routine, letting yourself focus on this for the time being, until you noticed someone staring. Not just someone, your handsome boyfriend to be precise. He blended in well to the crowd but stood out just enough for you to spot him by the bar with a drink in his hand. His eyes followed you across the stage, watching your every move with a lovely expression. What most people would see as a blank expression, you knew him much better. The slight twitch in the corner of his mouth, his widened eyes, his tight grip on the cup… you knew he was enamored with your performance, with you. He had never seen your work like this before, and he didn’t know how to react. He only moved when Leo finally yelled at him that Tobias was sending men out with a briefcase, and two of them needed to follow. Donnie and Raph were staying at the club to keep an eye on Tobias and make sure the plan went smoothly, while Leo and Mikey went after the others to try and find out what they were up to.

Soon, your time on stage was over. You made your way to the back, and changed your shoes into slightly more comfortable ones, before making your way onto the floor. Your first stop was drinks for Tobias’ table. You slipped the bug under the cup as planned and walked up to the table with your usual smile. You could feel Donnie’s eyes on you the whole time as you set out the drinks, smiling politely at the table. It was going smoothly until Tobias suddenly smacked your ass, laughing and asking how much you were for a night. You heard Raph panicked telling Donnie to calm down from somewhere behind you as you searched your brain for a quick response. Before you even could, however, Donnie suddenly appeared behind you, wrapping himself firmly around your middle with a soft, animalistic growl. Raph quickly ran up, trying to figure out how to get Donnie away from you without blowing your cover. You, however, were one step ahead.

“My deepest apologies, Mr. Green,” You started politely, a soft smile on your face as you looked down at the other, “I’m afraid my night is booked. But I must say I am flattered someone like you would want me.” You lied easily. That seemed to calm the mob boss down enough to turn back to their conversation as Donnie basically dragged you away from the table. Before you could say anything, like scolding him for almost blowing your cover, or almost wrecking the mission, he pulled you into a very passionate kiss, pulling you firmly against his chest and locking his arms around your waist. After a long moment, he pulled away and looked down at you with a very serious expression as he spoke.

“You have every right to be pissed off at me. I would be too. But.. after seeing you on that stage, and seeing him talk to you like that… I couldn’t just leave you there. I love you. And I couldn’t help but feel protective over you.” He admitted honestly, looking slightly ashamed. After a moment of contemplation, you smiled softly up at him and pressed a gentle kiss to the side of his lips.

“Donatello, I am yours. You don’t have to worry about me, I know how to take care of myself. But I think it’s sweet how possessive you can get. Just please don’t do that again at my work. It could cost me my job.” You chuckled, before letting him go and going back to work quickly. Raph dragged him off to finish their mission as you finished work. Their mission was successful despite the setback, and they were successfully able to put Tobias Green away.

When you got home that night, Donnie was by your side the whole night. You made sure he knew that you loved him, and made sure he knew you were his.

Overanalyzing Raphael's fear...

Ok here we go again, fourth time's the charm!

Ok so this will be analyzing a fear we saw and the fear we almost saw... on with the show!

We all know that ROTTMNT Raphael has separation anxiety, and when that is aggravated, it results in DID (dissociative identity disorder), and he becomes "Savage Raph". But so long as he was with people he knew and in a place he felt safe, it never got too bad. But that was the show, this is an alternate universe in which Raphael grew up as an only child with a mob boss and gladiator ringmaster as a mother.

...I think that Raph's anxiety would have been immensely worse without the safety of his brothers with him. There's something about having your siblings by your side that is just utterly comforting, and adding the fact that the Hamato clan members have a special power that relies on familial trust is an extra factor! But Raph grew up without that. As a result, his anxieties are worse, his fears innumerable, and when it comes to his separation anxiety, he doesn't just go "savage"... he goes nuclear.

So why was Leo the one to help him? When he doesn't really seem to care that much about the "family" they have, when Mikey would most likely be the one to help with the fear fungus (he's already helped two people!), when he has the knowledge and experience and mystic know-how? Why was Leo the one to come first, to break the trance? Answer: because he's done it before. About midway through the story, the group take a trek through the woods together and start to bond as brothers. They even tell each other special needs they have, such as Mikey's hypoglycemia and ADHD, Leo's insomnia, and Donnie's autism. Raph embarrassingly admits that he has severe separation anxiety, and at times even needs someone to stay with him at night so he can sleep. Mikey volunteers to take that responsibility, but one night when Raphael wakes up, he finds Mikey left him (to answer the call of nature TMI) and starts to panic. He causes a commotion, to which Leo is the one to respond. Leo helps to calm Raphael down, and even stays with him afterwards to help him fall asleep again. So, that's one reason why Leo was the best equipped to help with the fear spores...

...The other reason is kind of obvious, even Leo himself states it in the comic! "I know how scary it is to be alone..." Leo may not have separation anxiety, but his fear of abandonment gives him an understanding of what Raph is going through. Their fears are similar, so they can understand each other best.

Now, on to the deleted scene!

In the alternative scene - which would have been easier and quicker to draw but not quite as angsty - we see Raph argue with Mikey. Mikey scolds Raphael for not being a good brother, for letting everyone down and being a disappointment. Raph has carried expectations for a long while, expectations to be strong, smart, savvy like his mother. Being the adopted son of a business tycoon and mob boss does come with some high standards, even if those standards are simply self-inflicted. Whether or not anyone else thinks that Raph should live up to his mother's and brothers' ideals, he thinks he needs to, and as such struggles with this.

Mikey also mentions how his being in the medbay is not the first time this has happened, and that last time it was Raph's fault. This isn't true, but it is what Raph believes. During the traveling arc - the same one where Leo witnesses Raph's savage separation anxiety - Mikey gives Raphael his food to help him with his hunger, despite knowing that he may not have enough for himself. He lets things go too far, and Mikey starts having his symptoms. Raph feels guilty, and attempts to fix his mistake by getting Mikey some sustenance! Only one problem... they're in the middle of nowhere. Literally the middle of the woods! With nothing to eat for miles! Fortunately, they find a small grove of berries, and Mikey eats to his heart's content! Unfortunately, the grove turns out to be the poisonous "No-No berries", and Mikey soon starts hallucinating and getting ill, even wandering off under the influence and getting himself lost before he passes out. (Don't worry, everything works out in the end!) But anyways, Raphael blames himself for all that happened.

He's the big brother. He's meant to be the responsible one. So why is he always the one screwing things up, being too afraid, too weak. He's afraid that he is not enough. He's afraid of being a disappointment.

I just love your Mob turtles and their headcanons! I was wondering how each turtle would act with a medic crush. Maybe someone that works for the Mob as a lower leveled nurse that catches their eye after they need to be treated by them. How would they meet again? Who would move their crushes position up in the Mob to get closer? And who would just bash their head in again to see their crush to get treated? Love the headcanons your write and keep up the amazing work! ✨

Mob! Leo

you first treat him for a stab wound, it was a bad night at one of his clubs. Some guy got too handsy with one of the dancers, Leo intervened, the guy smashed a bottle....

he got stabbed just beneath the ribs, although the other guy was put in a medically induced coma when Leo was done with him sooo... A small stab was nothing by comparison

He's sat, slumped down, in the doorway of the living room, enter: you

his body guards (as useless as they normally are) called you straight away. the pay is pretty damn good if you say so yourself, being on the mob boys retainer has its perks.

you're got your kit with you, all your medical supplies.

"sir" you start "We need to head to the kitchen, I need a flat surface to examine you" you were polite, but clear.

Leo stands without so much as a grunt even though it's got to hurt

lies down on the kitchen table

you talk him through every step you need to take, starting with "I'm going to need to cut the shirt off, I'm sorry"

he doesn't care, it's ruined anyway

when you're done, he's surprised "I didn't even feel the stitches"

"I have a gentle touch" you wink and then instantly regret winking at your boss, it shows because you're blushing

he smiles too. 'He's got such a handsome face' you think and then you can't make eye contact

you almost shove the painkillers at him in your efforts to leave

the next time there's an incident, it's your day off, but he asked for you specifically and you can't exactly say no...

after that, it's you every time and the "incidents" are getting more frequent and less severe

you're at the house almost every 2 days

it gets to the point where a band-aid would suffice for the injury

but he's started sending you home with gifts, now

fancy chocolates, a bottle of wine, gift cards to high end shops ect

it's getting obvious why it's always you he calls

until, one night, it all comes to a head

he accidentally sliced his finger cooking and it will need stitches, but there are 2 place settings at the table and he asks you to stay for dinner after you patch him up

a hour in, and a little wine drunk, you blurt out "You know you could've just asked me out, there was no need to maim yourself to get my attention" you instantly regret this

he just chuckles

"Wish you'd told me sooner, I was deciding which one of my fingers I needed the least"

Mob! Raph

Oh he's so accident prone

will never admit it, but he really is

you're one of his newest hires and were excited at the chance to get some hands on experience since leaving med school

boy does he give you some

his first call is because he was shot right in the thigh

it almost hit a major artery

even you were panicked

you kept asking "is this ok? It doesn't hurt too much right?"

but he had to to keep face and even when he'd wince he'd command "Keep going!"

you weren't exactly dressed for the occasion, you were wearing what was once a baby blue crop top (now red) and and shorts and your mid-drift was showing

Raph seemed to notice this a lot

and when the bleeding had stopped you'd got him stitched up, he put an arm around your waist and told you how great of a job you did

it got you a little flustered

eventually, at some team meeting (you did not know there would be team meetings and neither did the other medics but Raph treated this like it's always happened) he announces you as head medic

this comes with more pay, but more responsibility

you're on call 24/7 basically

you get his personal phone number and a "don't be araif to call if you need anything, the phone works both ways"

this kind of earns you the cold shoulder from Donatello who was usually the one who fixed up Raph

everything was going great as was pretty professional until-

one night the phone rings, it's Raph, and he's clearly drunk

words slurring, talking real slow and basically humming down the line

he asks you to come over and if you "have a nurses outfit"

you ask who's hurt

"It's me, I'm so *fake cough* ill... I could use a little TLC..."

you're a medic, not a call girl so you hang up

the next time you see him he's a weird mix or embarrassed and pissed off

like he knows he shouldn't have done it but he's angry you wouldn't fuck him

it's one of his guys who's been beat up, needs a few eyebrow stitches

Raph is too close, really in your personal space as you're trying to work

when you're done he walks you to the door and, through gritted teeth, says "I'm glad my little.... Indiscretion the other night hasn't made you unprofessional"

"That's a weird way of saying sorry" you reply in the sweetest tone you can muster

he glares

"...I'm....I'm sorry"

you smile until he pulls you in by the wrist

"Don't get cocky now!" he hisses "Remember who pays your bills"

you lean in and whisper "It's funny that you asked, because I do have a nurse outfit. Only men who respect me and my boundaries get to see it" you say that last part more forcefully as you pull away from his grip

after that it's a pretty clear game of cat and mouse between you two

Mob! Mikey

It's been crystal clear since day 1 that he wants you

stroking your hair while you're trying to assess him, rubbing up close to you, giving you pay rise after pay rise...

you try not to be alone with him

but one day, and you're surprised because it's only like 1pm, you get a call

Mikey had a chunk bitten out of his neck and needs urgent attention

you're pretty used to all the weird and wonderful injuries he acquires and when you're done seeing to him, you realise it's now only you two in the room

he gets up and clicks his neck

"That's one thing I love about you, you know" he had a habit of starting sentences like you'd been talking this entire time even when you hadn't "You don't ask questions. It's a lovely quality in a girl" the space between you is getting smaller

"it's not my job to ask questions" you say timidly

he's closing in still "I like that attitude"

your back is to a set of drawers now

he's right in front of you

I think the lidocaine is wearing off, this is starting to hurt" he gestures at his neck "Can you kiss it better?"

your heart is racing and you're not sure if it's because this is threatening or because he's shirtless and you haven't taken you eyes off his abs for too long now

He laughs and puts his hands up

"Hey, just joking!" he begins to back away

you turn to leave and right as you grab the door handle he calls

"But, sweetheart, you ever feel like having a crazy night. You know who to call, no strings attached" and winks

after that, and extra 2k is put in your account under the reference "for your discretion"

lingerie is sent to your apartment as well as flowers

the next time you need to go see him, he asks if you're wearing it

you blush and look away, he just grins at you

eventually he throws a huge party that you're invited to, he never leaves your side

you drink a little too much to cope with the circumstance and before you know it you wake up from a black out in the back of his car just as it pulls up to your apartment

he walks you in, you're still unsteady on your feet, and kisses you at the door

"angel, you should be more careful" he does not elaborate before leaving

you hand in your notice which is only mailed back to you with "nice try" written on it

Mikey always gets his way, one way or another

Mob! Donnie

He's a very hot and cold man

he'll smile and talk to you one day, then you don't exist the next

you can't get a feel for him at all

he's never been inappropriate or rude just... cold and distant

it's normally you he calls, you know this because the other medics are pissed off that they don't have an "in" with him

you did ask why, once

he just said you give the neatest stitches

it had been a while since you'd seen him

his brothers and he just had a big court case so they were laying pretty low

it had been nice, something about him made you feel things

a mix of unsettled and like you had to prove yourself as worthy

you needed a drink

hat night you come home, your phone died at the bar and you're a little tipsy

only to find your door broken in

you walk in

was that a wise move? no.

waiting inside, leaning against a doorway, is Donnie

you can smell blood but can;t see it in the half light

the he grabs you

you freeze, his arms are around you and his face is in your hair, gently smelling it

something trickles onto your face and you wipe it away to find it's blood

"If- if you're hurt... J-just let me grab my supplies"

he lets go

you turn on every light you pass, something about being in the dark with him just isn't right

when you come back he's gone

the next time he needs you, you do get a call

he got into a fight with Mikey, bottled straight over the head

you found out because Raph is still laughing about it when you get there

Donnie is seething

when his brothers leave, all of them including Donnie a little drunk, he pushes you against a wall and gets in close

you can feel his breath on your neck

"You know, Mikey hired on of those topless maids last week. Cleaned his car, tits fully out. How much would it cost me for you to take this off" he pings your bra strap

you're so insulted

he was a man of medicine too and he was treating you like you're something who can be bought

as if he reads your mind he says "Everyone has a price"

"I don't know" you try to sound less scared than you are, let the anger shine through "how much does a new set of balls cost? Because if you don't back off you're gonna need them"

he laughs harshly

then his hand is around your throat

"Was that a threat?"

his thumb strokes your cheek

he leans in, his nose pressed against yours "I like a woman with guts but, if you're not very careful, I'll take them out and keep them in a jar"

"Was that a threat?" you retort

"No, I'm flirting with you"

sooner or later, you know he'll have you

Him and his brothers aren't the type to back down from anything

so the next time you treat him, when he pulls you onto his lap, you kiss him, make it your choice to go through with it

So, remember that time in S5 of 2k12 TMNT where Donnie was channeling his inner John Wick and wanted to get revenge on a mob boss due to a past conflict, possibly acting in this manner due to them recently losing Splinter again and for good in that gruesome fight in S4 and it one of the ways that he is dealing with the grief without fully realizing it?

Cause I do and it stuck with me ever since my initial watch after all these years.

Can I suggest, the purple dragons in your au not being criminals, or at least only being lightly lawless, so Donnie can (eventually) have some friends

and what do you offer me in return? peace? peace you know I have no use for, peace I can't trade in for any currency my demented mind can make use of?

how 'bout I do ya one better, aye bud? how bout I make them Donnie's friends- his real friends. who care about him, even if they've got a weird way of showin it. how bout I have 'em introduce Donnie to the foot clan, to shredder. How bout they are the cause of stress and frustration between the brothers when they find out that Donnie's been sneakin off to hang out with a bunch of weird half-nerd half-thugs.

How 'bout their introduction of Donnie to shredder is the reason that Don's able to get closer to shredder than the others. cause he knows that the kindness Shredder showed him isn't an act, because Shredder was nice to him before he knew he was a Hamato.

How 'bout Donnie starts to hope they can be his family. And one day he won't have to go home ever again. and he'll feel bad, cause he doesn't wanna leave Raph and Mikey behind, but he knows this is what he wants.

how 'bout after the defeat of shredder, Donnie is the one who abandons the purple dragons- not because they don't want him, but 'cause he can't stand to be around them knowing he's ruined something that was so important to them. and he doesn't see them again for years, and he thinks it's too late to reconnect.

and it makes him realize he probably doesn't deserve to reconnect. he fucked up their little patchwork found family, after all. and he tries to be happy with his brothers, but he can't stop wishing he'd just let Shredder take over the world. because it's so much easier to run away than to work through the pain that comes with his bio family.

how does that sound?

I just thought of another au of a au idea, what if the boys were able to grow up with Big Mama, it can seen as they were never mutated, or they were all somehow found by one of the search parties that were sent out. Either way, I'm just liking the possibility of a image of notorious mob boss, the champion of the battle nexus, and then you see just the sweetest and innocent faces of 4 children (again they could still be human looking, or turtles, or both with cloaking broaches) standing in the front. I like to think most of this au of a au would bring some wholesome family shenanigans and fluff.

Anyway, remember to stay hydrated and to get a good night's sleep. :]

i could see them each picking up jobs or tasks they're incharge of at the hotel. Like i think Raph would take over scheduling and special events, just because. he's pretty good with running schedules and could rearrange a room in a blink of an eye. Donnie would tech the hell out of the hotel (you think Donnie was good with tech normally? Imagine him growing up with Big Mama's constant praise and encouragement. The kid could have built a rocket to mars by the time he was eight lol) He would also do security since his tech would mostly have that covered, and i think he'd get a kick out of throwing rowdy customers out third story windows : ) Mikey would redecorate the entire hotel b/c he could, and often helps Raph decorate for special events. Leo would be helping run the place (basically in training to take over once Mama wants to retire) mostly just the hotel at the moment, but eventually the Nexus as well.

I imagine the Nexus would run differently by then, like turning it into a once a month tournament style fighting event instead of a constantly running (very high upkeep) battles. Though the "They somehow come back" Version is cool too, and kind of reminds me of a different(opposite) version i had thought of where the kids weren't found by Lou the night they were taken and instead raised as warriors like Draxum planned. (kinda since the boys would have ran away at age 10 and accidentally ended up with their parents anyways.) Probably b/c it would end up similar to this lol

Third challenger

There are no curtains, this time; no stage or spotlights.

Only the clear, open sky, the wide arena of grass and the brightness of a sunny afternoon.

No frills. No distraction. Nowhere to hide.

Donatello is starting to get pumped up.

At the center of the stadium, two figures stand across from one another. They look small, frail even, in the middle of such an impressive volume. He knows the extra space will be much needed, though.

The cameras turn to him, the speakers announce his name, and he confidently steps out of the shadows. The public in the stands welcome their third challenger with renewed fervor.

It had escaped his understanding, these terms in the tournament reglementation. Up until the last minute, he’d thought he had secured his third place by winning the Wheel of Doom, and that was it.

The excited screeches of his family when he’d been told to get ready for the grand finals still ring in his skull.

Applauds rain over him as he gets closer to his rivals. Stopping at a respectable distance, he makes a show of flipping his tech bo before tapping it to the ground in a practiced hero pose, purple pixels flaring up around him, and the crowd roars.

He feels a smirk spread onto his face.

“Donatello-san?!”

“Hi, Mob,” he answers with his best too-cool-for-you attitude. “Enjoyed the rest?”

“What are you doing here?” the boy blurts out.

“Rude. You see, apparently beating someone once doesn’t necessarily result in his direct elimination.”

“It doesn’t?”

“Well, here I am, aren’t I?”

The surprise on Kageyama’s features morphs into something decidedly amused.

“Heh. I should’ve guessed you wouldn’t give up so easily.”

“Damn right,” Donatello grins back.

“So, Donnie-san, are we allowed to team up, or -”

“AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO'S READ THE RULES?” the other opponent interjects, voice bold and cheeky. “THIS IS A SOLO DEATHMATCH SITUATION, NOT A TEAM-UP BOSS BATTLE.”

Donnie turns to the skeleton. He has taken some time to learn about him, of course: hard-working, keen on hindrance, element-of-surprise enthusiast.

The handmade costume and bright, toothy smile only raise more red flags.

“And you are…?” he asks casually, fully intending to keep his bad boy image up.

As the skeleton lazily inspects his nails, it appears two can play this game.

“MY NAME IS PAPYRUS, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME THE GREAT.”

Donatello decides he likes this one.

“Enchanté,” he voices, then rolls his shoulders. “Well, gents, as much as I would like to keep this charming conversation going, don’t we have a public to impress?”

Mob nods. He doesn’t make any other movement, but the grass around his feet is already spiking up like hair charged with electricity.

“I would hate to disappoint my master,” he agrees.

Donnie looks over to Papyrus, and finds him cracking his bony knuckles, a ferocious look on his edgy features.

“BRING IT ON, YOU SWAGLESS FROG.”

Around them, the giant screens broadcast their little exchange, and the crowd goes wild with anticipation. The match is finally about to begin; whatever happens now, there won’t be another round.

Donatello can’t help but feel grateful to be there.

This last chance was unhoped for, and he is going to make it count, if only for kicks and giggles.

If only for glory.

Have we ever seen mikey and leo fight? (On any version)

the only “fight” i can really think of is the ‘you got served’ episode of rise but that’s not really a fight-fight more of a brotherly teasing, pig-tail mask-tail pulling so i wouldn’t really count it since it was just for the sillies

leo seems to have a lot of patience reserved just for mikey. 2012 comes to mind where of course leo is butting heads a LOT with raph but also has a few blow ups with donnie too (telling donnie to work harder with the retro mutagen, them arguing about leaving New York, them fighting over whether donnie should kill a mob boss lmao) but even when mikey makes mistakes or annoys him, i don’t think leo ever really snaps at him like he might to with the others

same with 2003 leo. he was broody and distant and was really struggling with his ptsd and his trauma and yet he still made time to train mikey and help him when he asked (and maybe it was a bit of unintentional trauma loading on his part when he told mikey that if he fails he fails the family but that’s another conversation for another day)

i think out of all the brothers leo fights with mikey the least. even raph makes a point in 2012 that leo is always sticking up for mikey against the others — which is just very adorable to think that whenever mikey gets into squabbles with raph or donnie, mikey will immediately go to leo to hide behind because he just knows he most likely has his back :’)

i think that’s why they’re one of my favourite duos! leo loves his baby brother a whole lot and mikey looks up to him so much !!

📓 For a project I've been daydreaming about but haven't written

A 2012 tmnt au focusing on Mikey (at first) in which rather than being trapped in Dimension X for a handful of hours, he instead survived for several years there before his brothers were able to follow after him.

I enjoy the angst of Mikey suddenly being so much older than his siblings, and struggling to connect with them, to the point that he starts avoiding his family and instead bonding with others, mostly taken from 2003 and idw.

Eventually they settle into a new rhythm, with Mikey taking on more of a caretaker roll in the family, giving Leo some breathing room to sit down and recover from his knee injury once it occurs, rather than pushing himself to the point of making it worse like he seems to in the show (before it disappears entirely - it being in his head is bullshit)

There's also a romance between Mikey and Leatherhead because those two have me in a stranglehold lol.

I take a lot of the 2012 plot and shuffle it around, especially with Raph being controlled by the brain worm. Rather than it being a brief thing where he's taken and saved very quickly, he's the one to kill Splinter, and remains with the Shredder for a rather long time before being rescued.

Donnie becomes a mob boss. I just think he deserves a criminal enterprise.

There's other details but I can't think of them at the moment (maybe if I'd actually written then down I'd be able to relay them better lol)

Doodle of my ROTTMNT OC, Hikari, or “Kari” for short!!

The son of “Boss Bruce”, and heir to the Masters of Barbarianism Yakuza/Mob group (Episode “You Got Served”). Half dragon, half Koi fish yokai, Hikari despises his father and idolizes Leo and Mikey for humiliating his father.

First meeting the TMNT: When the brothers visit the Hidden City once again, Hikari sends his bodyguards to kidnap Leo and Mikey under the pretense that he was going to get revenge for his father’s humiliation. However, once they arrive at his house, he expresses his admiration and thanks for putting his father in his place.

Hikari praises the both of them, immediately winning Leo and Mikey’s affection. After they clear up the misunderstandings, Hikari admits that he’s always wanted to leave the hidden city and become a baker, not some brutish yokai that runs a yakuza. Leo and Mikey decide to help him out, and with Donnie and Raph’s help, they get Hikari up to the surface and out of his father’s reach.

Thankful, Hikari promises to keep in touch as he uses a cloaking brooch to blend in as a human and eventually open his own bakery.

Other notes: He is half dragon and half koi fish yokai (Koi fish yokai mother) but his appearance is that of a full fish yokai. His father told him when he was younger, that once he overcame a struggle that tested his very being, he would “ascend” and become a dragon. Hikari used to believe the story when he was younger, but now (age 14) he does not believe so. However, he later learns that perhaps, the story was true after all.

He keeps in touch with Leo (and Mikey) via phone text message. Hikari’s admiration of Blue eventually becomes a crush.

so i know you mentioned the bros and usagi and co were going to continue protecting new york and the hidden city and stuff, but i can’t imagine a job like that paying much unless they were working for the police or something. so, if you plan on them having jobs other than that, what are they?

side note: i hc leo and mikey work for hueso for at least a little while, bc we know from that one hidden city ep they would make good(ish) servers

I just answered this a bit. As teenagers Usagi, Gen, and Kitsune work for Hueso. He called Leo in when he needs extra help and Mikey on days when his staff won’t come (mob days) Leo used to come whenever he needed a break from his family or a distraction from his thoughts. Now with his boyfriend and friends working there he basically has a part time job with how much he’s there helping out and hanging out with them.

As adults their jobs differ. Yes saving the city doesn’t pay the bills.

Donnie

a software engineer. He has two companies. One that sells hacking equipment and programs and one that sells security. There always seems to be an update in his hacking software right after there is an update in his security programs. There is just enough space for the people doing truly illegal stuff to get caught but never for the people pirating movies to get caught. Does he monitor his hacking programs to see what people are doing and strategically update the security programs just in time to catch career criminals and billionaire doing illegal things, he’s yes he does. - but most of his time is spent building other tech for his family or third business.

Mikey

a chef. I know I said he would study psychology if he could a while ago but his passion is food. He owns the most popular restaurant in the hidden city. The only thing he doesn’t serve is pizza as he doesn’t want to compete with Hueso.

Raph and Kitsune

They runs a non-profit helping people escape from abusive situations. Raph focuses on helping children while Kitsune helps women. They also have resources for men needing help as they know that men can get abused to and they want to help them as well. All of their siblings are the biggest doners to their project.

Leo

He goes into medicine. I think that splinter made all the boys get their education online so Leo was able to go to college/med school in the hidden city. I think he’d specialize in trauma surgery as it’s the closest to battle field medic. (I still haven’t decided his full path)

He does keep a list of doctors and nurses who are kind and treat patients with respect and dignity. He passes the list along to Raph so that he knows which doctors to request when the people he helps need medical care.

April

She becomes a journalist and is a big part of desegregating the hidden city and New York. Her goal is for her family to one day walk above ground without any fear.

Cassie

Brownie empire. She has a choke hold on the industry. She is playing the long game. Anytime April needs sources or Raph needs donations there is a brownie box showing up at the targets house buttering them up for her family to slip in and do what they need to. She still has her long goal, World Domination. As soon as her family is on board they are running this world. Unfortunately her family is not on board. (I will let you guess which members aren’t down with world domination)

Usagi and Gen

Body guard business. Usagi hates how much crime there is in the hidden city so he starts helping people. He gets a reputation of not being scared of any of the crime bosses. One thing leads to another and boom business. They only take jobs from people doing legal activity. Big Mama is not a fan but also wildly impressed. She’s tried to get them under her employment for years.

They get big enough to have other employees and there is always a shift going at Raph and Kitsune’s non-profit. It is the safest in the city as no one gets through their body guards.

They also teach self defense class and will do free ones at the non-profit. The whole family will join in on those.

Casey

Author. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, this boy has the most popular young adult novels out there. He is just writing down that happened in his timeline and people are losing their minds. He did it to keep his memory of them alive. Now he gets fan art of him and Master Leonardo when he was growing up in the mail. He also get letters asking how he could kill cheaters off when they were so beloved by fans. (Raph and Donnie’s deaths caused an uproar. His moms was expected as “all parents are dead in these kinds of stories”) When yokai and humans are finally intermixing a picture of Casey and his family comes out and everyone can tell that the characters in his book are based off of the turtles in his life. They all get some weird mail from that.
