a wolf must hunt ( einherji verse )

this wolf howls at sunrise;

conceived under a new moon in 1995

brett is a descendant of apollo

but also a child of fenrir wolf ( he doesn’t know how it works, just like we can’t imagine being heimdallr with nine moms )

which makes him a crossbreed between worlds

when he was twelve (12), his demigod parents died protecting him

satomi, another wolf, took him under her wing

he was later adopted by camille, daughter of athena, and roozbeh, son of mithra (god of light, contracts and friendship)

third time’s the magic;

he died at the age of 21

technically, he died three (3) times

first was shortly after his biological parents died

frigg intervened, telling him ‘it is not your time’

the second time around, he was 17 and he was being hunted

a thermowire cut through his throat and he almost heard the gates of underworld open

again, his death was stopped, this time by loki

‘they cannot take what is ours,’ he said

so he breathed again, choking on blood, but breathing, alive

the third time, he was being used as bait to lure out other wolves

suffering from wolfsbane poisoning and an arrow to the chest, blood loss quickly drained him

samirah al-abbas, odin’s personal valkyrie, declared him worthy of valhalla as he swallowed his last breath with the arrow clutched in his hand

valhalla opens its gates;

the thanes were skeptical

a fenris wolf child in valhalla? half greek?

the weapon in hand being the exact arrow that killed him?

samirah insisted on brett’s bravery and sacrifice for one death made for his pack’s safety

brett did not like the idea of eternity until ragnarok but he hated ragnarok more

when he found out racists and bigots were also granted passage to valhalla he snapped

then holed up in his room for a week

until samirah talked him out of his self-exile

he befriended TJ and Mallory, then the others by extension

he is a pacifist until he comes across someone who deserve a beating

a little piece of heaven costs you nothin’;

on the 19th floor behind his door

wooden floorboards creak beneath every step

it leads to a yard with a zen garden with and ever-flowing stream that stretches towards the horizon

all natural light... at least it looks like natural light

the sky echoes with his moods, and it is often overwhelmingly blue

sometimes, when he lays on the floor, his entire room seems to transform into a mini galaxy

what can you make of eternity?

he tries anything that involves creation

pottery 101 was quite fun, even though a bit too violent to his taste

of course his creations would be inspired by scifi and fantasy novels

hybrids are his favourite forgery

heavy melee weapons are his main choice

just to take advantage of his incredible strength

his overhead strikes instills fear in his opponent

some say his eyes glow gold when he is angry

he doesn’t shapeshift in front of others

he spends time watching odin’s wolves and ravens

he is often tempted to challenge ratatosk

or maybe he is just self-destructive

he takes every chance to leave hotel valhalla
