Sure enough, his valet was correct. In the loose curls of Maven’s hair, glossy beneath the ballroom lights, two little horns were situated, curling downwards. There were also red feathers sewn over his vest, which could hardly function as a viable vest. It covered neither his shoulders nor chest, and it didn’t reach so much as halfway down his torso.

Enzo loved how these little pieces of fabric had no other purpose than to please him.

My partner’s handle is Petty Larceny and when we started dating I got really tired of the local hacker meetup just calling me “Petty’s Girlfriend” for two years so eventually I started going my missdemeanor so we’re Petty and Missdemeanor Larceny because it seemed fun and dorky to do the Crash Override/ Acid Burn thing (though it just mainly got the hackers to switch from calling me “Petty’s Girlfriend” to “Mrs. Larceny”).

Anyway, funfact, that gets really confusing and weird when I’m presenting more masc and who knows maybe at this point I should switch it to mx-demeanor but I’ve been using the name so long and across so many platforms that changing it now seems not great and also like maybe like it’ll make it hard to connect older work to new work? Anyway all of is part of why I’ve got @fellow-ny as my “what the fuck is gender” sideblog.

Also funfact: calling my partner by his real name is really odd and confusing because I’ve never used it regularly so if I’m full-naming him it’s not “Listen here, John Michael Doe,” it’s “Petty Fucking Larceny put that cat down right now.”
