Pokémon Legends Arceus x Brooklyn 99
(Context: The Survey Corp captured the Miss Fortune Sisters and Rei is Lucas, the protagonist of Hisui / the professor assistant in Sinnoh and he has been in Hisui for over a year.)
(In the Galaxy Hall)
Rei: So again, all your alibis are that a mysterious stranger threw smoke-bombs you three are notorious for using to escape, robbed Beni’s shop, and forced you three to put the same stolen mochi in your pockets.
Charm: When you put it that way it doesn’t sound believable.
Coin: Agreed sister.
Clover: Your just trying to put the blame on us!
(Cyllene walks by)
Rei: Oh hey captain! You’ve seen my new reports on the Pokédex that I left on your desk right?
Cyllene: Yes I’ve already looked it over. Nice job.
Rei: Cool, thanks mom.
(Everyone in the Galaxy Hall quiets down and stares and Rei and Cyllene.)
Rei: …why is everyone staring at me?
Professor Laventon: You just called Captain Cyllene mom. You said ‘thanks mom.’
Rei: What?! No I didn’t. I said thanks ma’am.
Cyllene: Do you see me as a mother figure Rei?
Rei: No! If anything, I see you as a bother figure cause you’re always bothering me.
Kamado: Hey! Show your mother some respect!
Rei: I didn’t call her mom!
Cyllene: No,no. Rei, I take it as a compliment.
Akari: It’s not a big deal . I call the professor ‘dad’ sometimes.
Rei: Guys, jump on that! Akari has a top student complex.
Akari: (???)
Clover: Old news. But you calling the captain mommy-
Rei: Hey, mommy is not on the table!
Coin: You did call her mom.
Rei: You three shut up. You’ve all done nothing but make things worse ever since I’ve met you all over a year ago.
Charm: Yes well, we may have been lying about the mochi, but the mom thing was true.
Rei: Aha! She admitted they lied! It was a trap. All apart of my crazy, devious plan.
Cyllene: I believe you.
Rei: Thank you.
Cyllene: Son.
Rei: (sighs in defeat)
Cyllene: Would you want to talk about it later over some mochi for lunch?
Rei: … (in a lower tone) I’d like that.

Do the miss fortune sisters have aspects?
They do not, bit of a combonation of their pokemon being fully evolved and some hold over pearl and diamond clan barriers/ jubilive village fear. Though they'd be among some of the first people to gain aspects as the general fear and distance between pokemon and people start to disappear.

Nobody talks about the Misfortune Sisters and honestly that’s just kind of tragic because during my play through of the game they, especially Charm, have been my favorite battles/interactions.
I’m sorry but Legends Arceus gave us the Misfortune Sisters and everyone sleeps on them.
You have Coin (likely ancestor of Team Galactic’s Saturn)-who is implied to have some sort of dispute that soured her disposition with her clan, causing her to leave and take up work with the Galaxy Team. Something soured her attitude towards people, where before she had “always been willing to help others, if begrudgingly” (Irida’s words). The incident also seemed to have left some doubts in her abilities as a trainer, her remarks when she loses a battle are rather self deprecating.
The there’s Clover, impatient, clever, and frankly kind of feral. She just up and left the Diamond Clan one day to join the Security Corps, only to quit that job to become a thief. Nobody in the Diamond Clan knew where she went and were still actively looking for her by the time Adaman bumped into them with Akari.
Charm is probably my favorite antagonist I’ve seen in a while. She is one of the two people in the game that is IMMEDIATELY sympathetic to Akari’s case instead of suspicious. This is a child being sent to the work most adults are to afraid too, without any training of her own. She see’s Akari’s kindness, and tell’s her off the bat that she should be careful. “Not everyone can afford that luxury.” She’s one of the original Galaxy Team members from Kanto and she went “f*** it, I’m done.”
I WISH PLA got a little more development time so that we could have seen a proper throw down between her and Kamado, as well as Coin and Clover with their former clan leaders.
I want to know so bad what made them leave their homes for a thief’s lifestyle. You can sort of piece together Coin’s situation, and how it possibly involves the warden of another poison-fighting type, but as for the others were left kind of clueless.

Viral Pokerus au: Misfortune Sisters
The Misforune Sisters are in the Mirelands. They eavesdropped on some Diamond Clan members who mentioned Lord Braviary’s mate (A Crobat) laid eggs recently. After the failure of their plan to catch Lord Acanine's son, they see this as a perfect opportunity. So they hatch (pun) a plan to steal his eggs.
The Mirelands a bit of a mess, Pokerus wise. Other than Coronet, it's the only place at this point that has Pokerus, but it's already spreading quickly. Roughing it out in the wilds does not help when it comes to avoiding animal illness. So of course the Sisters get infected.
Coin gets infected by a Murkrow, after her having to chase after it because it stole a nugget from her. Clover gets infected by Yanma, after angering one, and getting chased by a bunch, and hiding in the grass. Charm gets infected by a Gastly, she's very fond of Gastly and likes to feed them, in return they'll keep an eye out for other people for her. They, of course, don't know they are infected.
They go up to the icelands and sneak into Snowpoint Temple, the top of Snowpoint is where Lord Braviary's nest resides. They cause some sort of trouble as a distraction and swoop in, each stealing one egg, and run off. Lord Braviary and Crobat chase after them, to get their eggs back.
They send all four of their Pokemon out at once. Rhydon uses a Rockslide that causes a larger avalanche. Braviary gets caught in this and breaks his wing. All of their Pokemon get fainted, but Crobat is still there, and she's pissed. They give up, leave the eggs and run.
They don't make it far before running into Warden Gaeric. He doesn't know what's going on, but the Sisters are always up to no good. He ties them up and asks Lord Avalugg to watch them, while he looks into what's going on. They escape though, and get away. Turns out, Lord Avalugg is too big and slow to catch them, but Gaeric wasn't really thinking.
Remember that they've been sick this whole time, and the time is they've been getting worse. They escaped but they didn't get far because the fever is starting to set in. They hide out in a cave in the icelands. A Blissey finds them and takes pity on them, after all Blissey aren't very judge-y.
So the wild Blissey takes care of them while they are transforming, it gets help from a couple of Blissey friends. They are very freaked out about what's happening, they don't know what's going on. All they know is that they are very sick and are turning into Pokemon. The order they got infected/trasform is: Clover, Coin, and then Charm. It's real freaky to see your friends getting turned into Pokemon.
After they transform and realize they are all still themselves, just in Pokemon form, they calm down. They are like, how can we use this to our advantage? They realize that they can all fly/levitate, this will make get away much easier. And they are Pokemon, no one will recognize them! Who would suspect that a trio of Pokemon stealing stuff is the Misfortune Sisters? (They don't know yet that people are turning Pokemon region wide)
They go to Pearl Clan first and mange to steal a few things, however, they couldn't get much because they are fought off by other People-turned-Pokemon. They realize now that this is something going on everywhere. They realize though, that everything is in chaos due to the transformations. They can take advantage of this.
They continue to steal, often times targeting the Gingko Guild and the Galaxy Team. The Galaxy Team tries to catch them but they keep getting away, it causes a real headache for Komado to have some of the transformed continuously break into the village. They target Guild members that are sick, so the members can't do much to retaliate as they steal their stuff.
Honestly, the trio are kind of a menace. But as more and more people turn into Pokemon it gets harder for them to steal because of others fighting back. The Diamond Clan get quickly scratched off their list for places to steal from because so many there have already transformed.
People are out to get them, to stop them from what they're doing. In particular the Gingko Guld is really trying to hunt them down because of how much the Sisters have stolen from them. Hell hath no fury like a merchant scorned. Anybody who's stolen from Kecleon in Mystery Dungeon knows this. They are in trouble.

safe haven
pairing: coin x reader
reader’s pronouns: unspecified!
summary: You’re surveying in the field when you’re suddenly attacked by an Alpha Pokémon. An unexpected visitor comes to your aid. When you wake, you find yourself in the company of the Misfortune Sisters. To your surprise, you find yourself becoming friends with Charm and Clover and, perhaps, something more with Coin.
word count: 1.8k!
Tumblr media
You sigh to yourself, looking down at the assorted sheets of paper with the data you’ve collected for today. You weren’t out for very long today, yet you got quite a bit done. You’re almost excited to show your results to Professor Laventon. The thought at the forefront in your mind, you rifle through a few of the pages. You’re so engrossed in your research that you fail to notice the rustling sound of steps behind you, or the Alpha Pokemon towering over you. The pages you’re peering down at suddenly become a lot harder to read and you tear your eyes away hesitantly, an anxious feeling settling in the pit of your stomach.
Unfortunately, your reflexes aren’t fast enough for you to dodge the sudden burst of light that is thrown at you. You don’t even get the chance to breathe, as you’re thrown back with an inhuman amount of strength. You let out a pained gasp as you collide with what you assume to be a tree. The wind is knocked out of you and you inhale roughly, just barely managing to move to the side and avoid the Pokemon launching itself at you. Ignoring the vertigo that threatens to send you toppling to the ground, you push off the tree and stumble away. Somehow, you manage to find a gathering of trees suitable for you to hide in. The moment the Pokemon fades from view, you stumble forwards and fall into the nearest tree. You just barely manage to shoot an arm out and catch yourself before a nasty collision with the rough bark. For an indiscernible amount of time, you leans against the tree, trying to dispel the vertigo pulling at your chest.
“You blithering mooncalf,” a voice remarks from behind you. You turn your head towards the direction of the sound, wincing as the bright light makes your head pound. To your surprise, Coin is standing in front of you, arms crossed over her chest. Her blue hair shimmers in the afternoon sunlight. She looks about as annoyed as she usually does, except her eyebrows are furrowed and her gaze doesn’t seem to want to settle on any specific spot.
“What are you doing here?” you squint at her, ignoring the strange insult and leaning your head against the bark. For a moment, you swear she stammers and stutters. Dismissing the thought, you wait for her to respond.
“I’ve been watching you do your silly little survey work for ages,” Coin hisses. She takes a minute step to the side, revealing her Toxicroak standing behind her.  “Toxicroak wants a rematch.” Toxicroak makes a strange croaking noise, which you can only assume to be enthusiasm. Immediately, a pang of guilt courses through your chest.
“Oh,” you manage to remark, blinking as your vision blurs. You lean against the tree, trying your best to ignore the aching sensation that seems to be spreading throughout your body. “I- I don’t think I can do that right now, sorry.” You turn your head and look at her. Whatever Coin had meant to say seems to fade from her lips, as her eyes widen. You must not look so good.
“Clearly,” she rolls her eyes, impatience written all over her face. You have half a mind to tell her to go away, but you’re too nervous to do so. Besides, if you collapse here, how long would it take before you were found? You’re pretty deep in the forest at this point- so much so that your absence wouldn’t be realized for several hours. “Stop that.”
“What?” you ask, confused. You aren’t even doing anything, to your knowledge.
“Whatever you’re doing, stop it,” Coin admonishes, taking a step forward. Her gaze burns into the side of your face, but you’re too dizzy to try to meet her eyes. You try to focus on the feel of the bark underneath your fingertips, desperate to remain grounded to reality. You close your eyes and battle away the exhaustion, before moving from the tree and standing in front of Coin. You don't realize that you’re pushing yourself a bit too hard until you feel the world give way under your feet. The last thing you see before slipping into unconsciousness is the strange expression on Coin’s face- eyes wide and arms extended as if attempting to catch you. You don’t have the time to contemplate just what exactly that means, as your knees buckle from under you and your vision fades to black.
You wake a few hours later, only to find that you have no idea where you are. You quickly try to push yourself up off the bed, only for a hand on your shoulder to stop you. You look to your right and lock eyes with a girl with braided brown hair, one you know all too well.
“How are you feeling?” Clover asks. You’re unsure of how to respond at first, especially as you take in the room around you. It’s very homey, a pile of blankets strewn in the corner and warm light seeping from the small window at the side. Despite the fact that she has been nothing but kind so far, you can’t help but regard the girl with a little suspicion. After all, your past interactions weren’t exactly casual.  “Um, fine, thanks,” you reply honestly. You bite your lip, feeling her eyes on you.  “Am I supposed to be here?” You look around the room, hoping that she understands what you’re not quite able to say. Clover nods, a soft smile on her face.
“Coin is talking with Charm about it,” she answers, a hand on your forearm to prevent you from trying to get up again. A hiss sounds from afar, and Clover turns around. You follow her gaze, only to see Coin and Charm in the hallway. They appear to be engaged in a rather animated discussion. Charm is silent as Coin gestures rampantly about something. You can’t help but feel like you’re intruding, and you manage to tear your gaze away and look back to Clover. She isn’t paying attention to the other girls’ conversation anymore, instead staring at you with an expectant gaze that makes your heart begin to race.
“You and Coin, huh?” Clover asks, tilting her head to the side and smirking. You feel your cheeks heat and you desperately try to stammer out an explanation. Just as you’re about to speak- and, likely, embarrass yourself further- Charm enters the room. The moment she walks in, Clover falls silent. There’s still the remnants of a mischievous smirk on her face, but it’s not nearly as noticeable as before. Charm whispers something to her and Clover nods, sending you a quick wave before bounding out the room. You gulp, not too confident now that you’re left with the most intimidating of the three. To your surprise, Charm doesn’t stare you down like she usually does, however.
“Did Clover cause you any trouble?” Charm asks instead. You’re so surprised by her amicability that it takes you a moment to process the question. Once you understand, you reply immediately.
“No,” you shake your head. Charm nods, a pensive expression on her face. She seems to be pondering something. You have no idea what it is, but it seems to be rather important- if her knitted brows are anything to go by. Evidently, Charm comes to a decision and turns back to look at you. For a moment, silence stretches across the space.
“I’m glad you’re alright,” Charm eventually says, her lips pulling up at the corners and hinting at a friendly smile. You stare at her for a moment, wondering how you could have misread her so much. The woman is incredibly friendly and welcoming, despite your misconceptions. “Coin was worried about you.”
“Really?” you ask, unable to hide the disbelief from your voice. Charm nods, her lips parting as if about to say something. Just as she moves to speak, she is interrupted.
“No,” Coin scoffs. You look up to find Coin standing behind Charm. Charm turns around and places a hand on her shoulder. Her back blocks the two of them from view, and you sit helplessly as they whisper about something. A few moments later, Charm pats her on the shoulder before leaving the room. Coin takes a few steps forward before visibly pausing, looking conflicted. Taking pity on her, you pat the empty space on the bed near your legs. She sits down without hesitation.
“Hey,” you cough awkwardly. Suddenly, the nerves from before are back in full force.  “Um, thanks, for, you know. Thanks.” You wince in embarrassment. Somehow, you’re unable to spit the words out. Luckily, you’re not quite able to focus on your own humiliation, as she responds.
“You should be more careful,” Coin says, her gaze flitting about your face. You’re so surprised at the statement that you quite nearly gape at her. “If I hadn’t found you...” Her voice breaks off as a troubled expression rises on her face. Without quite thinking of the potential repercussions, you reach out and clasp her hand.
“I’ll try to be more careful,” you promise, staring at her. For a fraction of a moment, her eyes widen. Immediately, any signs of surprise are stifled and you dismiss the thought of her concern. You feel the need to explain yourself to her, for some reason, so you do so. “I wasn’t really paying attention... Was too busy going over my research to notice the Pokemon towering over me.”
“I see,” Coin remarks, although the irritated expression on her face suggests that it won’t be the last time the two of you have that conversation. You resolutely pretend not to feel the embarrassment hiding in the back of your mind, instead taking a deep breath and allowing yourself to remain in the moment. Silence settles in the air, but it’s not entirely unpleasant. If anything, it’s calming.
“How about that rematch?” you grin, sending a sideways glance at Toxicroak before looking back to Coin. The Pokémon jumps around excitedly, but Coin doesn’t react the same.
“Not yet,” Coin shakes her head. Toxicroak lets out a saddened noise, one that makes you feel immensely guilty. Coin doesn't so much as acknowledge it, instead rolling her eyes and looking at you. “You need to rest. Besides, Toxicroak can wait.”
“Alright,” you acquiesce, clasping your hands in your lap. You can feel Coin staring at you, but you’re not quite sure how to handle it. Instead, you wait for her to speak.
“Go to sleep,” Coin eventually says, although it sounds like more of an order than a suggestion. You don’t bother to argue, though, instead leaning back into the pillow at your back and letting your eyes slip shut. Just before you can fully slip into slumber, you feel the feather light caress of a hand on your cheek and lips on your forehead. A smile tugs at your lips and you hear a startled hitching of breath. Resolving yourself to contemplate the gesture later, you finally allow yourself to fall into slumber.

NO other show in existence understands sister dynamics better than fleabag. especially from the perspective of older sisters i believe. having the same character yell "...you're fine! you'll always be fine. you'll always be interesting, with your quirky cafe and your dead best friend. you just make me feel like i've failed," AND "the only person i'd run through an airport for is you" !!!!!!!!! it's insane and it's exactly how i feel

After quelling Avalogg you make sure to visit the lake spirit and obtain Uxie’s claw before the sky turns red.
Tumblr media
You look back down at the map on your Arc Phone to find that you are almost there, separated by the large body of water in front of you. The ride wasn’t long, only getting there in like half a minute. Inside of the damp cave Uxie reveals its presence.
“ C o m e . I w i l l t e s t y o u r
k n o w l e d g e “
...
You walk out of the cave to hear Laventon calling your name from across the lake.
“We need to get going soon, my dear!”
Oh right, That completely slipped through your mind.
“Coming!”
The sun is starting to set once you arrive in the village, the streets are almost empty, apart from the shopkeepers and security corps, who welcomed everyone back from their travels.
It feels like your legs are about to give in, preparing to collapse on the wooden floors of your quarters.
“Tired are we?” You heard someone chuckle. In your exhaustion, you had almost failed to recognise the merchant standing in front of you.
“Must’ve been tiring I bet! Well, I do hope you get a good night's rest, I have a feeling that you’re gonna need it.” Volo rests a hand your back, guiding you to your quarters.
Although your body is exhausted, your thoughts are running like wildfire.
You wanted so badly to escape, and yet you make the same mistakes in this world. Does that not put you at fault? Are you not the problem?
What are you trying to prove? What difference does it make?
You wake up to a stern knock at the door.
When you try to get up you feel a dull ache pulse through your body.
You hear another knock, this time it‘s louder and more demanding.
You get up from the futon you suddenly find yourself in, trying to ignore the pain that shoots through you as you stumble to the door.
You open it to find Cyllene standing at the entrance, she holds her usual upright posture, hands behind her back.
“I’ve word from the commander. You’re to report to his office at once.”
You walk outside to a dull crimson light above you, it covers the sky. Green streams of smoke pass by the clouds.
You hear the whispers of the villagers, you feel their eyes piercing your back, see how they glance away when you catch them staring.
“The way the sky has changed… it is ominous. Very ominous indeed.”
Kamado’s back faces towards everyone, the atmosphere feels heavier than usual. You stand beside Irida and Adaman, they too, seem just as confused.
“That strange lightning... the one that drove Kleavor into a frenzy...”
“It struck the same night that you fell from the sky.”
Nobody is defending you. They do not intervene with Kamado’s accusations, they don’t do anything. This... isn’t going as planned.
“Who or what are you really?”
You feel everyone’s eyes on you. As if they are expecting you to give the right answer.
“A survey corps member?”
Man
Am I doing something wrong?
You sit by the Worn Bridge, you hear Pokémon chattering in the distance. The grass follows the breeze of the wind. The water reflects the red sky.
You’re attempting to take your mind off the situation, but everything you try to distract yourself with with leads you to the same pressing issue. You just can’t escape it. It‘s glued into your mind.
"Strange events seem to follow you wherever you go, don't they?"
Well, that’s what you‘re supposed to hear. Instead, you notice rustling from behind you. You glance over your shoulder to find a familiar pair of braids.
Clover smiles cheekily, “we’ve been lookin’ for you!” You smile back, “What for? To mug me??” You joke.
Clover laughs, “Of course not! I’ve gotten enough supplies from that merchant anyways.”
Wait what-
“It seemed like you needed some help! Lucky thing that you were nice to us. Consider this as a token of our appreciation!”
Coin and Charm, who are standing behind Clover, nod their head in agreement.
You find yourself sitting by a fire with the three bandits, munching on the stale bean cake they gave you.
“So… what do we even do about… that?” Coin says, pointing up at the sky. You sigh, “To be honest, I don’t even know anymore. Nothing has gone as I expected. I just don’t think that I can even do it.”
“Not by yourself at least.” Charm places a firm hand on your shoulder, “We said that we were here to help you, [Name].”

Random TGCF nonsense of the day:
Still reading Peach Blossom Debt and one of the things to make go 👀 is the book of fate that an immortal is in charge of writing and uses to set up scenarios for the protagonist a few times…. except he is super vague in his writings so it never works out the way he says it should
So anyway tgcf nonsense time:
Swapping fates isn’t enough for SWD. He’s worried the RoEW won’t go for it, won’t fall for the deception, or that HX won’t suffer enough to appeal to his tastes. So if he’s already got power over his fate, why not ensure some little incidents for the RoEW to get good meals out of? So he, Ling Wen & Pei Ming all takes turns
Ling Wen: he won’t pass the exams
Shi Wudu: he won’t succeed in business endeavors
Pei Ming: he won’t marry his fiancée
And no one ever thinks to be a little more specific in their prophecies…
(listen one day I will write the monte cristo au of my dreams xD)

outing myself as a hp brainrotter to ramble abt the Black Sisters
WARNING: ACCIDENTAL ATTEMPT TO WRITE FLOWERY LANGUAGE BY SOMEONE WHOS BASICALLY ILLITERATE
Cygnus: the youngest of his siblings. The most forgotten yet the most fortunate—with Walburga having descended into putting the mad in madness and Alphard declared a traitor for helping Sirius. Passive in all he did, happy to grow his branch on the family wreath tree enough to simply appease the Lords and Ladies. A once acceptable husband wilting away as his wife grew more desperate
Druella: An outsider in name and nationality. The youngest of her own scrutinizing family fleeing to England to not drift away in the chaos of high society. A subject of speculative whispers regarding whether or not she’ll too fall victim to the infamous Black Family Mania. What those same people who whispered that they were proven right don’t know is that that mania is not familial but a product of centuries of perfectionism. A woman reduced to a counterpart—a failed mother with 3 daughters contesting with Walburga’s 2 heirs. A mother who passed her own familial unfavorables to her daughters. A woman who saw herself in her third daughter and final child—a child she titled only in her head yet announced to everyone as her greatest failure—and named her not after the starry patterns of the Blacks but the flowery thorns of the Rosiers
Narcissa: A woman content to fade into the background as the pretty-faced third daughter of 3 children. A woman named after a natural beauty defaced by its grimy background. A girl who was not Black, Malfoy, or Rosier yet above all was loyal to whoever she called family—disregarding what they called her. A woman who saw the women in her life be called mad disgraces, malevolent traitors, and failures and upheld the scraps her branch of the family tree left her with not because it was anywhere close to the romance she dreamed for or the quiet life of obscurity she knew to expect but because no matter how she may lay awake at night comforted by the agony of her blood she couldn’t stand to break her mother further. A lady who married her best friend because she knew that’d be the best bet she had of a happy marriage, and had only one son however much she both longed for and dreaded a daughter.
Andromeda: Always picking up and picking up the pieces for the people around her, as all she’s ever known how to do is love. A woman who saw firsthand how her eldest sister was broken beyond repair despite her attempts and shielded her youngest from witnessing the truths she carried with her as she left her dreaded house (because she can’t possibly call it home, no matter how often her mother or sister—who can really tell the difference—did so, not even trying to act as they genuinely believed this could somehow be anymore than a fortress), her mother’s screaming voice no longer being able to echo in her. A woman who was not saved by the man she loved but floated up to the surface
And Bellatrix. Ohhh Bellatrix. A powerful woman broken and broken by curse upon curse and memory charm upon memory charm for daring. Daring to break against the rigid bark of a tree from which the sword that cut her into pieces was forged, daring to be the first of what many called failures but what should be called those who were failed. A woman who left claw marks in whatever semblance of power she had yet, like any other, fell limp as she took her last breath. A woman who died at the hands of a mother’s love as a woman who never got to know what love would be. A woman who saw a glimpse of herself in blue eyes (not cold and sharp like that of her blood, but like the stars she was named after and would lay on soft grass and needlessly watch with a blonde girl who saw too much and knew too much. A girl who saw a person in a woman who knew too little) before someone else took that from her too. A woman who never knew power and thought she wielded it even as she sat in a cell haunted by what doomed her to the fate she was only halfway through living
