Ok on my re read of death note I realized that ryuk laughs every time light talks to a girl he’s “dating” mostly misa and takeda. I think it’s because shinigami eyes come with a gaydar. He almost never laughs when L and light are having a moment.

Notes: This is pretty lighthearted, this takes place sometime after Light and Misa regain their memories of the death notes but before L dies.

Light is a tad bit ooc but what’s because we the Anomaly Hivemind can do what we want. Also Light does actually like Misa, he isn’t completely using her.

Light typed away his university homework and let out a slight yawn; he has spread himself a bit too thin. His university work was a piece of cake but on top of getting that bit of work done he had to fake some research for the Kira Investigation.

L was just like him in the regard that he would never get up in this twisted game of cat and mouse.He wasn’t quite sure who was the cat and who was the mouse but one thing was for certain and that was than Light wouldn’t let himself slip into mediocrity.

He had crafted the perfect scenario when he gave up the Death Note. The suspicion that he was Kira had significantly died down. His plan was so close to coming into fruition, he could see L’s death on the horizon. But he couldn’t let himself get lazy.

He just had to finish up this essay and compile this evidence; then he had enough time for a power-nap.

“Light! MIsa is here for you!” Mrs. Yagami called from down the stairs. ‘Wha- why is Misa here?’ Light said getting up from his desk. His socked feet sofly echoed on the wooden stairs as he walked.

“Light!” Misa exclaimed, jumping into his arms.

“Oh, you too are so precious,” Mrs. Yagami cooed as she walked away. Light grabbed Misa’s hand and started upstairs.

Misa squealed a bit as Lights larger hand took hers and guided her up the stairs to his room.

“Oh Light, I didn't expect you to be so forward!,” Misa giggled as Light closed the dor behind them. Light sighed as he pinched his eyebrows.

“Misa I’m kinda busy right now,”

“I know you are but I still wanted to see you. Couples should see eachother often and you’ve turned me away all this week,” The blonde pouted as she rested her head on Light’s shoulder.

‘RIght,’ Light thought.’ I haven’t been spending much time with Misa, and if I don’t she might get antsy and do something crazy; then both of out lives are in jeopardy. If I want my plans to work out at least for now I have to keep Misa happy.’

Light shrugged his shoulder to signal Misa to move and he swiveled around his chair to look towards her.

“Look Misa, I just need to finish up what I was doing, then after that we can do whatever you want… within reason.” Light said.

Misa’s eyes lit up at his words she clasped her hands together and let out a squeal of joy. “Really! Anything?” She said holding Light’s shoulders firmly ash she stared deeply into his eyes.

“Within reason,” Light replied plainly.

“Oh Light you’re the best!” MIsa exclaimed as she peppered several kisses across Light’s face. “Okay, okay now get to work!” HSe said pushing his back around and up to his desk.

Light immediately went back to work, writing and typing away. Meanwhile Misa laid across his bed on her stomach as she twiddled with her phone. Time passed by before Misa let out a heavy sigh and rolled onto her side to look at Light.

“Are you almost finished yet?”

“Almost,” Light said without looking away from his computer.

Another fifteen minutes passed before Light actually finished. He sighted as he cracked his knuckles.

“Misa I’m finis-“ Light stopped as he turned around too see the girl soundly asleep on his bed. He sighed, for all that she annoyed him he couldn’t help but admit that she was quite endearing; and somewhere she had a special place in his heart.

“Idiot, you’re not even awake to hang out like you wanted,” Light said softly. ‘Oh well, I guess a little nap won’t hurt.’ Light thought as he laid against his pillow, his arms stretched behind him.

Light’s eyes fluttered open, he felt more well rested than he had in a good while, he started to move when he felt a warm weight on his side. He looked down to see Misa curled up beside him.

‘Huh… I wonder when she got there’ Light thought as he massaged his fingers into Misa’s soft hair. He looked over at the clock,it had barely been forty-five minutes. ‘I guess a longer nap wouldn’t hurt’ Light said as he laid back and drifted back off to sleep.
