My raging impostor syndrome has paralyzed my ability to actually publish my new substack regularly so I have returned here for low pressure micro-blogging.
The artist formerly known as Twitter is getting increasingly cringe, it's overrun by blue-check trolls but unfortunately it's still the best place to keep up with other Swifties and I don't know how to find all the people I follow (mostly for politics and/or humor) on other platforms... Threads is okay, but people sorta stopped using it after that initial burst, and Facebook is Facebook, l've been on it since it was released to college students only back in 2004 (which I realize makes next year the 20th anniversary of that and now I need to lie down) and l'm too old and awkward to try TikTok... Instagram is my favorite social platform but obviously not meant for little written brain dumps. And I suppose one could start a blog without putting in the effort of branding, URLs, and the like, but I can’t because of who I am as a person.
So here we are.
This will be my digital sketchbook for all intents and purposes and maybe I can put my half baked thoughts here and maybe they'll crisp up into something more extensive. If not, oh well.

Request!!! genshin sagau where it's imposter au... BUT the archons recognize reader as their "creator" and take reader under their wing as soon as possible instead of immediately going for reader's head like the mortals.
bonus points if reader gets taken in JUST AS THE MORTALS WERE ABOUT TO EXECUTE THEM. And then the Archons wreak havoc on their nations for "Attempting to execute our Creator."

Zhongli grumbled quietly as he took a mouthful of hot tea as his ears drowned in the sound of clamouring that was starting to get in his nerves. It all started when an anomaly coloured the entirety of the night sky gold followed by what seems to be a few days of darkness followed by prosperity such as nature looking more alive. He and the other archons know that it was their creator that finally came to grace their land but right before they could venture out, someone already came in front of their faces, holding a few instruments, saying that it took too long for them to come home.
The worst part of this person’s deal is the fact that they know all three of them archons, Venti, Raiden and himself and it made people buy his plot immediately. It angered him that the fraud is basking on the wealth from innocent people and basically trying to gain control of the whole Teyvat itself but it angers him more that his anonymity together with Venti is now compromised. No amount of mora or liquor can bring back the anonymity and normal life that they both want.
“AN IMPOSTOR WAS CAPTURED!”
Zhongli puts his cup down as he listens to the clamour. The person that took their creator’s role has a security too tight that people can only come at arm’s length. There never was a problem because no one can even come up to them and now there’s an impostor?
The dragging finally stopped and your body hit the cobblestone ground. One moment you were trying to pet the slime and thank it for sending you fruits to eat and then suddenly you were being dragged by soldiers in different uniforms. Behind you was a bright trail of blood from your knees that acquired more than scrapes from the rough ground. People started gathering around you like vultures waiting for an animal to die for them to feast on.
It didn’t take long until the crowd parted and someone who looked like they held a high authority picked you up by yanking your hair upwards. The person was clad in expensive looking robes, a crystal crown shining on their head and a matching necklace. Their eyes looked at you with disdain and lips forming a sneer. “You have gall to show your face”, they said before letting go of your hair and kicking you to the side.
‘What have I done wrong to experience this?’ you asked. Truthfully, the answer is unknown and might even be none. Many nights ago when you were still able to sleep properly, you always had a recurring dream of falling down in a golden carriage with seven figures of divinity waiting for you to come down. It has happened. The golden chariot, the cold wind that first greets your being, and even those little slimes that seem to be protective of themselves and attack other creatures that come close. The reality however was merciless and far from the recurring dreams.
The guards behind you finished dragging what seemed to be a cage with chains on it. The cage doesn’t have bars except for the four pillars that hold it together. “Tie the wretched impostor inside the cage. Those with visions, beleaguer them to death.” One moment you were just making friends with slimes and now you’re going to be dying in front of people who seemed to take delight in your situation.
Before the guards could get close your surroundings got dark and before you knew it, you were in the arms of someone. The guards that were supposed to grab you took your place on the ground all unconscious. “It’s alright. We’re here now.” You look up to see a woman in winter like clothing. Gentle snowflakes dance on her hair but her eyes look as cold as general winter as she looked at the person in front of her. The woman only pressed you closer to her chest, giving you her warmth and not minding if the bloodstains ever ruin her pristine clothing.
And there you see it, the seven figures in the recurring dreams. One of them is holding you protectively, three of them are behind the two of you, greeting you with a smile on their faces and the other three are facing the person who just ordered to get you killed.
The one in purple looked at them coldly. “You’re under arrest for impersonating and trying to kill our creator”, she said. As the crowd around them started whispering, the person only huffed and crossed their arm, “What do you mean by impersonating? I AM THE CREATOR.”
The other person in green laid out the documents in front of one another. “The information gathered by our informant said the other thing.” Papers were passed around and the whispering of people became loud shouting. “It is all false! Don’t listen to them!”The person shouted but no one seemed to pay attention. Masked men and women took their stand behind the three figures who gave out the papers, unlike the people around them they didn't seem to be easily swayed by the person’s reasoning and attempted persuasions.
The woman in blue pressed you closer with your head resting on their neck. “Cover your ears, it will be over soon.” A scream echoed in the town marking the end of the life of a clown.
At the distance, a smile graced a blonde woman’s lips. She was supposed to explore a new island when the archons cornered her and asked her to work for them. Well, ‘asked’ was not really the proper term seeing that the Electro archon reminded her of her crimes back in Inazuma from years ago. Seeing how the crowd is dissipating and the archons tending the creator, it looks like her side job paid off.

not happy with the lineart yet still trying to find what brush i like best for lines.
ANYWHO this is based off this mini excerpt I made.
Danny found himself waking up in a cage, it had a double barrier. An electric field covering the metal bars. They were iron bars. Danny rubbed his face trying to get a better look outside of the barriers, but his sight was foggy from the hit.
He caught sight of a caped figure. “Vlad, I don't know what you're planning but-JAZZ?!”
His voice squeaked as he fell back against the bars in shock. Eyes wide open as his jaw dropped.
The figure stepped clearer into view. Her long red hair had streaks of white, her faced looked more mature and sunken. Her cape was purple and trailed on the floor as she wore glowing sliver armor. Her eyes glowing bright green, as a thin haunting glow encased her. She had a sword similar to Fright Knight's on her hip, and a ghostly crowned.
Slowly she smiled at Danny, it was soft almost like the Jazz he knew, but it was filled with sorrow and pain behind it. She opened her mouth showing fangs as her broken voice filled the air.
“Hello, Little Brother. Its been too long. I've missed you.” Her voice didn't show much emotion, almost robotic but her expression was clear.
Whoever this impostor Jazz was, she had gotten what she came for. Danny felt a chill down his spine. He never thought a version of his sister would be so damn terrifying.
(Basically a Jazz from a different timeline came to this timeline to capture and protect Danny unlike she was able to do in her timeline.)

Not a Substitute for the Past
I have to push back against a particular take in Teen Wolf fandom that I feel is not only inaccurate but also a symptom of damaging behaviors in fandom.
Liam is not a Mini-Jackson and Mason is certainly not Danny-Lite.
Saying that Liam and Mason are some sort of cheap replacements for Jackson and Danny is to flatten their characters so much as to be unrecognizable. Of course, they are both best-friend duos, but there were literally four other 'best-friend duos' showcased in the production: Scott and Stiles; Allison and Lydia; Sebastian and Marcel; and Gabe and Nolan. Of them, Scott and Stiles are the most important; all the others, in their significantly different dynamics, serve to examine that relationship.
To me, the only thing that Liam and Jackson have in common is that they're white lacrosse stars. You would have to get rid of all their other character development in order to make the claim that Liam was a replacement for Jackson.
Jackson starts out as a rich, popular sports star, the captain of the lacrosse team, who strides through the halls of BHHS with the adoration of his peers, a smoking hot girlfriend, and protective and involved parents. As the seasons progress, we discover he has issues which spring from his learning that he was adopted and that his biological parents died on the night he was born. Jackson internalized this exterior tragedy, resulting in an impostor syndrome so strong that it had supernatural consequences. Because of this, he's insecure about his own value, and he reacts by being jealous, obsessive, and mean, frequently crossing the line into cruel. While his parents obviously care about him, he keeps them at arm's length. His relationship with Lydia is toxic; even though it's shown that both of them care about each other, it's too often mixed up with the false fronts they put up in order to maintain their status.
In contrast, Liam is younger, but he's definitely not popular. He's insecure, but this doesn't come from an exterior tragedy but a mental disorder: his I.E.D. His inability to cope with it effectively (which to Teen Wolf's credit is never shown as a moral deficiency) has lead to him being expelled from his former school, having an antagonistic relationship with his former coach and the entire Devenford lacrosse team, and having created Hayden as his nemesis. None-the-less, his relationship with his parents is strong, as far as we can tell and in contrast to Jackson. Dr. Geyer is a very good stepfather; we see that in Muted (4x03). Liam doesn't allow his insecurity to make him resent his parents; instead, he is driven to prove himself worthy of their love (which there is no indication that they would withhold). He doesn't have Jackson's status but he wants it, and while he can be stubborn, aggressive and competitive, he doesn't exhibits signs of jealousy or any willingness to hurt others to get what he wants. While he can lash out in anger, he's seldom mean and never cruel.
In addition, their relationships to the lead protagonist are very different, and that is NOT incidental. At the beginning of the show, Jackson's surface persona represents everything Scott aspires to (popularity, a girlfriend, to be seen and recognized) only for him to discover the hollowness beneath that facade. Then, in Season 4, Liam represents everything Scott has been forced to leave behind (the ability to be angry, the right to focus on himself, being taken care of rather than taking care of others, etc.). In the end, Liam isn't a replacement for Jackson because they don't serve the same function in the narrative.
To me, Danny and Mason are both gay -- though the idea that there is a designated gay character is so Eighties -- and they're both minorities -- which is just as Eighties -- but the very nature of their roles within their best-friend duos are vastly different.
Danny is Jackson's best friend on the lacrosse team, despite Jackson often being aggressive and sometimes even hostile toward him ("kind of always at a four"). Danny obviously cares but seems undisturbed by Jackson's more aggressive behavior, though he will push back if he thinks Jackson goes too far. Throughout the seasons, Danny exists in proximity to the supernatural goings-on, yet he manages to keep a distance even with several near misses, so much so that the audience was surprised that he had figured out Ethan's nature. It's not fear of danger; he can be transgressive when he wants to be. Danny manages people by drawing boundaries and respecting those boundaries in others.
On the other hand, Mason becomes far more active in Liam's supernatural life, and it's not because Liam doesn't try to keep him out of it. Mason is curious and involved, and he "wants to help." In fact, his desire to be there for Liam, in my opinion, often leads to Mason enabling Liam in his actions. When he meets the rest of the pack he's immediately willing to engage with them and help them out. He doesn't even hesitate to start the second-longest-lasting relationship in the show with the chimera Corey. Mason allows himself to be far more vulnerable in his relationship with Liam and with the supernatural in question, as compared to Danny's reticence. Another thing I appreciate is that neither approach toward friendship is shown as 'better' than the other. They're just different! (which is the point of this meta).
It will help if you think about these parallel scenes. In Venomous (2x06) Jackson and Danny are working out, and Danny remarks that Jackson is trying to lift far too much weight. Jackson snaps that he doesn't need a spotter, and Danny shrugs and leaves. "I'm hitting the shower. If I come back and you're lying dead underneath a pile of weight, I'm taking the Porsche." Danny still cares, but he's not going to let Jackson get under his skin. In A Promise to the Dead (4x11), the scene is recreated with Liam and Mason. Liam, rather than being consumed by disappointment like Jackson was, is trying to cope with his fear of the Berserkers. Mason, rather than leaving with a quip like Danny, stands there hurt by Liam's behavior. Scott has to caution Liam about pushing his friends away.
Same situation, different motivations from each character involved, demonstrating how while they might be best friends they act in the context of that friendship in different ways. Liam is running away from the possibilities of the supernatural, while Jackson is running toward them. Danny is willing to respect Jackson's boundaries while still caring for him, while Mason is hurt by his inability to help a clearly distressed friend. These difference help demonstrate Scott's evolving role in his peer group and his own growing skills in leadership. He is in a position to help Liam and Mason in a way he wasn't able to help Jackson and Danny.
Liam and Mason are not replacements for Jackson and Danny. Even if Jackson and Danny were present in season 4 through 6, they couldn't possibly have the same relationship with Scott because they were very different people.
