minghao counts himself lucky that you’re still asleep when he slips out the bathroom. he’s home late, a pretty common occurrence, and while a lot of the time you insist on waiting up for him, he’s glad you listened to him and went to bed on time today — for once.
which is why, when he lifts the covers, he does it slowly, trying his absolute best not to wake you. but his efforts are in vain; as he finally settles under the blankets, your drowsy voice sounds the dark room.
“minghao?”
“hi, baby,” your boyfriend whispers. one arm drapes itself around your waist, and the other hand reaching to smooth your hair down. “it’s just me. go back to sleep, my love.”
you curl up close to him, burying your face in his chest. “i missed you.” your voice is slurred with sleep, but somehow, that makes the words all the more precious.
minghao presses a soft, lingering kiss to the top of your head, a slight smile on his lips. “i know. i missed you too, baby.”
“did you have” — a stifled yawn — “a good day?”
“how about i tell you tomorrow?” he murmurs into your hair. “go back to sleep, okay?”
“but — ”
“tomorrow,” he repeats firmly.
another yawn. “mkay. i love you.”
by the time he’s opened his mouth to reply, you’re fast asleep. but he still brushes his lips against your forehead, whispering the soft sentiment against your temple. “i love you too.”

you slammed the door shut as panic settled into your body. you removed your shoes and walked into the living room in search of your boyfriend. you just had written a test and it was needless to say it was not your best performance.
you had prepared for it a month before and you entered the exam hall with so much confidence. but you left the hall with tears on the brim of your eyes and a slow-settling panic attack.
on the couch rested your boyfriend. minghao was reading a book, his headphones strapped on his ears. he put his book down and hao's eyes glistened when he saw you. but that didn't last very long when he saw the lone tear gliding down your face.
immediately ditching his headphones and book, hao ran over to you. his hands grabbed your shoulder lightly and he pulled you into a hug while rubbing his hand over your back.
the comfort of being next to hao was your safe space when you cried your heart out. your eyes burned and your throat ached at the intensity of your breakdown.
and for a second you felt ok. but then you felt your heart drop. you asked yourself a question that lingered in your mind. did you deserve to cry? the answer, well you didn't have that.
your entire life you were set on high expectations to do amazing in your tests and you did. exam after exam you pumped out excellent grades like a robot, leaving no time for you to enjoy life. people praised you and you were the ideal daughter in the eyes of your parents.
but that all stopped when you started to live your life. you went out to parties with your friends and went on dates, where you met your boyfriend. that's when your grades dropped a little, although it didn't make a difference in your final grade, the way your parents saw you changed remarkably.
you were a disappointment in their eyes and the constant screaming made you believe every insult that was thrown at you. so you cut down on your enjoyment and went back to being a 3.9 gpa student. thankfully, you had hao by your side.
minghao reminded you to eat, he supported you through the times when you felt like a mistake. he stayed awake on the nights when you spent cramming. minghao was a ray of sunshine in your dark life, and you thanked the gods for that.
after a hectic month of staring into a book like a mad woman, you would've expected to do way better in the test than it turned out to be. the questions were hard and the time was insufficient, and the worst part was it was all your fault. at least that's what you told yourself.
you should've studied harder and practiced time management. you should have, no, you had to do better. otherwise, everything you worked hard for was useless.
minghao noticed your quiet behavior and pulled away from the hug, his knitted eyebrows screaming concern. "are you ok, my love?"
and for a minute, you just stared at the wall in front of you, you were numb. were you sad? were you disappointed? or angry? you just didn't know. it felt as if you had fallen into a void of nothing, and for the first time in your life, you couldn't breathe.
it started with your body shaking silently, as you felt another breakdown washing over you. then, it escalated to you clawing at your neck for some comfort. you needed air, you needed to breathe but just couldn't.
tears welled up in your eyes, you tried to speak but no sound exited your mouth. you sat there like a statue. you didn't move but your body and your mind were running a thousand miles an hour.
minghao seemed familiar with what was happening and immediately pulled your hands away from your neck, which was red. "breath. breathe for me." he helped you stabilize your breathing by rubbing your back and guiding you. "that's it, my love. you're doing amazing."
you got your breathing back but the void-like state didn't leave. but an emotion struck you and it struck hard. anger. you were angry at yourself for not trying hard enough.
you furiously wiped your tears and abruptly stood up. minghao followed your movement with curiosity. "why?" you asked yourself meekly. it was so small, your boyfriend almost didn't catch it.
"why what darling?" hao walked in front of you, his eyes held adoration and love when he looked at you.
"why didn't i try better? the exam was so easy. but i couldn't answer a single question." you grabbed your hair and shook your head violently. you started to hyperventilate. you sunk to the floor again, as your knees gave up and the strength at which you hit yourself became more aggressive.
minghao struggled to pry your hands off, he wasn't afraid of getting hit in the process. "yn. my love, you tried your best. you did everything you could. and i know you will do amazing the next test. don't beat yourself over this."
"no, hao, you don't understand. i can't dance or sing like the others do." your voice broke as you started to speak. "i can't cook or paint. i have no artistic or athletic talent, minghao. my grades are all i have. without them, who am i?" you confronted the real reason you tried so hard for your education, while all your friends were getting medals and trophies for competitions when you were younger, the only thing you had were your grades.
"you're the most wonderful person i've ever met. that's who you are." you felt a tear hit your shirt and realized it was minghao's. "you make me laugh in ways no one else had ever done before. when i see you, i become happy. i wish time slowed down when we are together because you make each minute special."
at this point, you were sobbing and for a whole other reason. "you make me a better person, and that is a major accomplishment. yn, you changed my life." minghao cupped your cheeks and made eye contact with you. "just because you can't sing or dance, doesn't mean you're nothing. it means there's something you're better at. and you know that."
you didn't notice it but you were smiling. you felt completed, you felt comforted. and for the first time that day, you felt okay. no words were exchanged further, but it was clear.
minghao loved you no matter your flaws, and you trusted him so much, that from that day onwards, you loved yourself no matter your flaws.

[SVT Imprinted] Junhui/Minghao: Ours (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Characters: Junhui x female reader x Minghao
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, college au, poly au, angst, fluff, stuff about giving birth that i don’t really understand so idk sorry about mistakes <3
Word count: 4,355
Summary: The pack had already gone through a mate giving birth, but that doesn’t make it any easier for you when your time comes. On top of the anxiety of giving birth for the first time, you’re also terrified of how Junhui will react once the babies are born.
Previous | Next | Imprinted Masterlist
You knew the babies would be here soon, you just didn’t know how soon. Your due date came and went, and you were still uncomfortable with an alarmingly huge stomach that Minghao loved to cuddle and coo at – and Junhui when he thought both of you were asleep. You wanted to just have your babies in your arms, but you also knew what would come with that: a very sulky Jun.
Admittedly, you were worried about Junhui. Sure, he had fallen for Faye and Wonwoo’s daughter which kept him distracted, and when Bang Chan and his pack were in trouble, that helped keep his mind off of things too, but you knew things would go back to being bad when you gave birth to Minghao’s babies. Junhui would get jealous and be reminded that he wasn’t the first one to have kids with you, and you couldn’t handle dealing with that anymore. You felt awful for him, but there was nothing anybody could do.
“You look uncomfortable,” Jaehee frowned as you waddled slowly into the kitchen, one hand resting on your stomach while the other was on your side, slightly pressing into your sore back. “You should sit down; I can get you whatever you need.”
The pack was constantly looking out for you, and you more than appreciated it. With a tired huff, you sat down in one of the chairs at the kitchen table while Joshua’s mate got up to get you something to eat.
“Thank you, Jae,” you smiled softly.
“How do you feel?” she wondered.
“Uncomfortable,” you sighed, letting your head fall back and your eyes close. “On the bright side, Jun’s asleep and Minghao’s at school, so they can’t bicker with each other.”
“At least they’ve been better about, y’know...not hating each other,” she offered with a shrug.
“I know,” you sighed, “but I know it hurts Junhui, and it’s just stressful.”
“Don’t focus on stress,” Jaehee said sternly, turning to look at you. "Stress is bad and– well, you remember from Faye.”
The good thing about not being the first to have kids was that the pack already went through everything with Faye, Wonwoo, and little Sonny – and thankfully, everything went smoothly. But she also only had one child, and you were having twins.
Jaehee made you lunch and talked with you while you ate before helping you to the living room to sit down and relax. You stretched your feet out across the ottoman that she pushed over to you before she covered you with a fuzzy blanket and said she’d be in the kitchen studying if you needed anything. So with the TV remote beside you, and the soft sound of talking filling your ears, you dozed off on the couch.
-
You felt…wet. Not the kind of wet you were used to feeling before you were pregnant – both of your mates were terrified of doing anything like that because they didn’t want to hurt you or the babies – but a kind that felt like you not only soaked your clothes, but the couch and the blanket.
But because of Faye, you knew what this was.
“Jun!” you called, your voice slightly shaky. You felt like you were panicking, but you weren’t sure why you were panicking.
Instead, it was Jaehee who came rushing into the room, looking at you with eyebrows raised and mouth open to say something. Then she saw the wet stains on your clothes, and her brain seemed to shut down as she just stared.
“U-uh…” she stammered before yelling, “F-Faye!”
“Where’s Jun?” you asked.
“He left!” Jaehee told you, seeming to panic more than you – like, really panic.
Faye came walking down the stairs, harshly hushing the two of you. When she entered the room, she was carrying a sleeping Sonny in her arms.
“Can you not be so loud? I just got– Oh my god, _____…” she gasped when she took in what was going on with you, her scolding ceasing entirely. “We need to get you to the hospital.”
“How?” Jaehee asked through gasping breaths. “All the cars are gone, and Jun’s gone, a-and– And–”
Faye turned to the older girl, “Shh, it’s alright,” her voice was soft as she tried to console Jaehee, who was clearly about to lose it. “Just breathe, okay? _____ will be fine.”
“B-but what if we have to deliver the baby? There’s nobody here, and we don’t know if somebody can get here in time, and–”
“Don’t worry about that, I’ll take care of it,” Faye promised, cutting off Jaehee’s babbling, “Just take Sonny upstairs and try to relax, okay? I’ll call somebody and make sure everything’s okay.”
Jaehee nodded, seeming to calm down a little now that she knew somebody else was going to be in charge of you. Faye handed the infant over to Joshua’s mate before the older girl took the baby back upstairs. Meanwhile, Faye went over to you, who was trying to breathe through your first contraction.
“Do I call Jun or Hao?” she asked, sitting beside you and placing a hand over your stomach.
“J-Jun’s probably closer,” you breathed.
As Faye took her phone out of her pocket, you heard the front door close before you heard Jun’s voice calling, “Closer for what? And what’s that smell?”
“That’s your mate going into labor, you big fucking moron!” Faye called back, standing up from the couch to meet Jun as he ran right into the living room, his eyes bugging out of his head. “Why would you leave her alone when she’s this pregnant?”
“She’s– So they’re– We–”
“Stop babbling and get her things,” Faye instructed. “I’ll call Jeonghan since he’s probably closer.”
For a moment, Jun just stood there, blinking and staring at you. Faye walked up to him and shoved at his shoulders.
“Don’t just stand there!” she barked. “Go!”
As Jun finally booked it down the hall and up the stairs, Faye started to call Jeonghan.
While Jun was upstairs to get your hospital bag, the reality of what was happening was staring to slowly sink in. You and Minghao would be parents together soon, and what did that make him? He still had nothing, and you and Minghao were going to be all over each other and the new babies.
Suddenly, he wasn’t as shocked over your water breaking anymore. Now, he was back to being upset.
-
Faye stayed home with Jaehee and Sonny while Jeonghan and Soonyoung drove you and Jun to the hospital. Soonyoung babbled excitedly with Jeonghan nagging him to shut up in between, and Junhui sat beside you in the backseat with his hand loosely wrapped around yours. Your mate was trying to give you soft words of encouragement, but you could tell he was still upset. It started to make you really question how things would be after all of this.
Faye had also contacted Joshua, Minghao, and Aya to let them know about what was happening just so they’d be prepared. Joshua promised he’d be on his way to the hospital to meet up with Aya’s mom and prepare for you.
When you got to the hospital, it didn’t take long to get you into a room. Joshua arrived before Minghao did, already in scrubs and with a smirk on his face.
“More babies to keep us up at night,” he said, his tone deadpan. “Can’t wait.”
“The girls have no problem sleeping through it,” Jeonghan pointed out. “Well, except Aya and Faye, obviously.”
But you didn’t even care about waking up at all hours of the day and night. You were just happy to have your little bundles of joy in your arms with you. You couldn’t wait, but you also felt a pang in your heart from your excitement. Your eyes drifted over to Junhui who was trying to hide his sulking as he sat in a chair pulled up beside your bed.
Minghao showed up fifteen minutes later, running and out of breath. He smiled as soon as he saw you, and it was the brightest, most hypnotizing smile. So hypnotizing, in fact, that you almost missed how Jun got up and swiftly left the room without a word.
Almost.
Your smile fell as your eyes followed your other mate’s back until he was out of view. Minghao turned to see his brother walk away before he looked back at you with a sad smile.
“Don’t worry,” he told you softly as he walked over to take Jun’s seat. He took one of your hands in both of his large ones. “He’ll come around.”
“What if he never does?” you wondered worriedly. “What if he hates them?”
Minghao hushed you softly, letting go of your hand with one of his to smooth your hair back soothingly, “Don’t worry about that. You know he won’t hate them. He may be upset at first, but he’ll come around. Just focus on right now, okay? No stressing.”
You nodded, so Minghao smiled and leaned over to press a kiss to your forehead.
Slowly, more of the pack accumulated in the hospital -- including Jaehee, who left as soon as Wonwoo got home -- coming in to say hello and see how you were doing before going to wait either in the waiting room or in the cafeteria. Hours had gone by full of pain and labored breaths and Minghao reassuring you whenever you needed it. You were actually both surprised and touched that he never left you. Not when he was hungry, not when he was tired, and not when you squeezed his hand so hard that he was even hissing slightly in pain.
Meanwhile, Junhui never came into the room. He wanted to because his instincts told him to be with his mate, but he didn’t want to see those babies that would look and smell like you and Minghao. He didn’t want any part of that, at least not yet. He stayed in the hospital, but he didn’t go in the room.
“You’re being a big baby,” Bomi said bluntly, making Junhui grimace even more.
“No,” Juri spoke up, placing a small hand over Jun’s, “we understand why you feel this way.”
“But,” Areum cut in, “you’re totally being a big baby.”
Jun just slid down further in his chair and mumbled to himself, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Guys, c’mon. Just cut him a break,” Jaehee said with a small shrug. “It’s not easy having to share a mate.”
Bomi opened her mouth to retort, but when she remembered who she was speaking to, she quickly snapped it shut.
“I know I’d hate sharing,” Jeonghan mumbled, grouchy at the mere thought of having to let somebody else touch and love his mate like he did.
“I just can’t believe she’s having his babies,” Jun sulked, his eyes staying glued to the table they sat around in the cafeteria. “I imprinted first and I’m oldest; I should have kids first, right?”
“Well…technically, Wonwoo had kids first,” Bomi shrugged, trying to make light of the situation.
“Look, Jun,” Seungcheol began, leaning forward and resting his arms on the table, “we get that this is hard for you, but are you really going to resent these babies forever?”
“Not forever,” he said. “…Just until I get a baby...”
“Oh my god, you’re a child,” Eunmi groaned.
“I’ll show you a child…” Junhui grumbled, eyeing the shorter mate.
Eunmi raised her eyebrows, “No, but Minghao will.”
“Okay!” Juri cut in quickly, standing up and grabbing Eunmi’s hand, pulling her to her feet. “C’mon, let’s go get you some frozen yogurt, huh?”
As she walked away quickly, Jeonghan tried to tell Junhui not to listen to Eunmi’s comment because she was just trying to get to him.
He sighed and looked around at his friends still sitting at the table with him, “I don’t want to hate some infants, and I’m not saying I do or will. But I can’t control my instincts, so whatever happens, happens.”
“They’re still _____’s kids, though,” Areum cut in. “What would you do if you imprinted on her and she already had a kid from another relationship? Would you hate her kid then?”
“This is way different,” Jun insisted.
“These feelings won’t last forever,” Seungcheol promised. “Neither will the aggression. Or depression.”
“And you’ll get your turn to be a dad,” Jaehee told him with a smile. “Don’t worry about that. I bet as soon as _____ is healed, she’ll want you all over her.”
Junhui scoffed, rolling his eyes as he let himself wallow further in self-pity. He knew his friends wanted to help him, but he just wanted to be left alone – or to change the past, but that clearly wasn’t going to happen.
“Guys!” Mingyu called, running into the cafeteria. “Hey, you guys!”
Bomi groaned, hiding her face in her hands, “Can I pretend I don’t know him? People are staring.”
“Inside voice, Gyu,” Juri said as she walked back over to the table side-by-side with Eunmi who now had a cup of frozen yogurt in her hands.
“It’s _____,” he said as he stopped at the table. “She’s about to give birth; she wants Junhui up there.”
Jun stiffened in his chair, surprised at what he just heard. You wanted him there? Why?
He didn’t even bother turning to look at Mingyu as he mumbled, “She has Minghao.”
“She said she wants you, dude,” he insisted. “She’s in a lot of pain, and she’s really overwhelmed and scared.”
Junhui did his best to suppress the whimper wanting to sound out. Instead, he cleared his throat and asked, “Why can’t Minghao comfort her? I don’t want to see it.”
“I’m serious, Junhui. She’s crying for you. She needs both of you there.”
He cursed under his breath before he stood up from the chair and jogged out of the cafeteria, going straight for the stairs instead of the elevator. That was when he picked up the pace, reaching your floor in no time.
When he got close to your room, he realized Mingyu wasn’t lying. He could hear you whimpering to Minghao about how you wanted Jun and how you too scared to do this. He could hear Minghao trying to reassure you, but you ended up choking out a sob instead.
He opened the door to see you with tears streaming down your flushed face as Minghao held one of your hands with both of his own. Joshua and Dr. Moon were already there, prepared to help you deliver the twins, but only Joshua and Minghao looked up when the door opened.
“Look who it is, love,” Minghao said softly to you.
You opened your eyes and lifted your head to see Junhui staring at you with an unreadable expression. But you were still so relieved and happy that you reached out to him with your free hand and cried his name. He walked over to you without even thinking, as if there were a magnetic pull that just brought him to you. His hand found yours, holding it close to his chest.
“Why are you crying?” he asked softly, using his other hand to wipe tears from your face.
You shook your head, “I don’t think I can do this…”
Junhui chuckled and shook his head – he also wondered why you didn’t think of this about nine months ago, “What are you planning on doing? Keeping them in there?”
“I’m scared,” you confessed with a sniffle.
You were scared for a plethora of reasons, but anybody could guess them. Being a mom, the pain, the aftermath and dealing with Jun – the list went on. And your mates knew every single reason you were afraid.
“You can do this,” Junhui told you, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze. “Minghao and I will be by your side the whole time, okay?”
“Promise?”
“Of course I promise.”
“When have we ever left you when you were scared?” Minghao reminded you.
You were starting to feel a little better, up until Dr. Moon’s eyes flashed up to look at you, and she asked, “Ready or not, they’re coming.”
That sent cold fear straight through you.
Thanks to Junhui’s instincts, he was able to push aside his feelings to focus only on you. He needed to make sure you were okay and would be okay, so that was his main priority at the moment. It didn’t matter if he had to work together with Minghao, and it didn’t matter that he would be forced to see you and Minghao get all cozy together when you held your babies. All that mattered to him was you.
So, as you cried and grunted and yelled through the pain and the pushing, Junhui told you how well you were doing and how much he loved you. He sounded sincere and genuine, unlike his half-assed attempts in the car. He let you squeeze his hand while he just took it without flinching. And when he saw the first baby in the doctor’s arms after it came out, he didn’t suddenly freeze up or get a shot of anger course through him. He still focused on you.
Nothing could get his attention off of you. Not the second cry, not Dr. Moon and Joshua speaking. Not even Minghao as he kissed your forehead tenderly when you collapsed back into the bed. As he looked at you with your messy hair, sheen of sweat on your skin, and red face, all he could focus on was how much he loved you.
But that was quickly short-lived.
“We have the babies,” Joshua sang as he entered the room with Aya’s mother, each of them holding a baby. “Wanna see?”
Junhui still didn’t want to be there for it. He wanted to be anywhere but there. Just smelling two humans that were a mix of you and Minghao was a weird experience for him.
“I’m gonna…go…” Jun mumbled, letting go of your hand.
“Junhui, please stay,” Minghao begged, though you didn’t understand any of it. “They may be ours by genetics, but they’re still yours, too. They’ll still look up to you as a father, won’t they? You should still meet them.”
Jun paused while Minghao spoke, processing his words. But in the end, he carried on to the door, leaving you and Minghao with your new little family behind.
You frowned, looking up at Minghao, “What was that?”
“He just needs a little break,” Minghao explained, not wanting to make you upset – especially not now. “He’ll be back later. I promise.”
Dr. Moon walked up to you, holding a baby swaddled in a blanket with a pink hat on its head, “Congratulations on two baby girls.”
Your heart swelled with love and joy and every good feeling as she carefully put one of the babies in your arms. As soon as you held her, everything just felt right. You teared up as you looked down at her face, wondering how one little person could be so perfect.
Minghao thought the same about the baby Joshua handed over to him. She looked just like you, and it was even better because he just knew it was something you and him made together. He more than teared up when he held her. He cried as he let out soft laughs and pressed a feather-light kiss to her forehead.
“You are the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen,” he whispered as he cradled her closer.
“Have you picked out any names?” Joshua asked as he smiled at the scene before him.
You and Minghao had bounced around on names. You’d pick one, and then change your minds. But there was one that Minghao had been pretty dead set on for the last couple months. He thought it was pretty because it meant sunflower in his language.
“This one is Aili,” you announced, not looking away from her face.
“And, this one…” Minghao began, but he trailed off, a half-smile growing on his face as he looked away from the unnamed baby to you. “I think I have a great name for her.”
-
Jun sat just down the hall, his back up against the wall as he drowned out your talking with the hospital noises around him. So Minghao didn’t have to go far to find him.
Junhui looked up when he saw shoes standing beside him, only to see his brother smiling down at him.
“No offense, but I want to just be left alone right now,” Jun mumbled, looking back down at the floor.
“Stop being mopey and come with me,” Minghao said, ignoring Jun’s attitude – nothing could bring him down from how happy he felt, not even Junhui. “There’s somebody you really need to meet.”
“I told you, I don’t want to see your kids, okay?”
“Just trust me.”
Minghao held out a hand, offering to help Junhui up. Jun only glanced at him for a moment before sighing and pushing himself off the ground himself. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he trailed behind Minghao.
When Jun entered the room, he looked anywhere but at you or the two babies – one in your arms, and the other in Joshua’s. So as Jun went to go stand in the corner, he didn’t see Minghao take the baby from Josh’s arms and walk over to him with her.
“Hold your arms up,” Minghao told him.
“Stop, you know I–”
“Junhui, come on,” Minghao said, his voice firmer than the older boy expected.
With a permanent scowl, Jun held out his arms to take the baby girl from Minghao. As soon as she touched his arms, his whole body instantly felt warm. The feeling almost made him shiver – it was like the first time he ever got to touch you.
As if they had a mind of their own, Jun’s eyes wandered down to the little baby in his hands, and suddenly, that scowl wasn’t as permanent as he thought. All his anger, resentment, and sadness completely melted away as he looked down at the infant in his arms. If he weren’t holding a baby, he would’ve let his knees give out, but he was too scared he’d drop her.
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. You were so afraid that Jun would absolutely hate the babies, so when you saw only fondness in his eyes, your own started to tear up.
Minghao smiled as he watched the frown on Jun’s face melt into a look of wonder.
“This,” Minghao began, “is Meihui, inspired by my immature but very loveable brother: Junhui.”
Jun’s eyes flashed up to Minghao’s, a look of pure surprise on his face as a smile slowly started to break through onto his face, “You named her after me?”
“Of course,” he shrugged as if the gesture was nothing, even though he knew it meant a lot to his brother.
Jun couldn’t help but smile widely, his teeth completely on display as he looked back down at Meihui in his arms. Even though she seemed to be sleeping, he thought he could stare at her for hours and not get bored. He was completely wrapped around her little finger already.
“But you are much better than I am,” Jun whispered to her before he leaned down and pressed his lips softly to her forehead. “You’re absolutely perfect.”
“Do you want to hold Aili?” you offered, your voice cracking just a bit.
Jun looked up at you immediately, laughing softly, “Baby, why are you crying?”
“Nothing,” you reassured him as Minghao took Meihui, and Jun walked over to take Aili from you, “don’t worry about it.”
Jun felt just as happy and fond as he held the other girl, cradling her to his chest as he studied her face with the same bright smile on his lips. You and Minghao just watched him with happy expression, glad that the old Jun was coming back to you.
“I can’t believe two things so perfect are actually half Hao,” he teased, looking up at his brother.
Minghao rolled his eyes, “Come on, you know they’re perfect because they’re half _____.”
“Ah, you’re right,” Jun nodded before he leaned over to kiss your temple.
You opened your mouth to tell them they were both being cheesy, but all that came out was a yelp. You started feeling contractions again, and they were just as bad as the previous ones. Your hands flew to your stomach as your face contorted in pain.
“What’s happening?” Junhui asked worriedly, looking between Joshua and Aya’s mom.
“It’s just all the…afterbirth stuff,” Joshua explained, waiving a hand away.
Dr. Moon sat back down on the stool in front of your bed, moving your legs to the side, “Ah, actually… I think that ultrasound might’ve been wrong.”
“Wrong?” you burst.
“Wrong?” Joshua repeated, walking over to see what she was talking about. “Oh my god…”
“What?” Minghao asked as your two mates also moved down to your lower half to see what was happening.
“Can you two stay up here?” you whined.
“Here’s the thing...” Joshua began as he looked at you with an odd expression that you couldn’t read, “with two or more babies, ultrasounds get very hard to read. Gender and numbers kind of become more like…an educated guess.”
As the pain only got worse, you asked through clenched teeth, “What does that mean?”
“Well, I can see a head, so…” Dr. Moon said as she put on a new pair of gloves. “You’re about to have triplets.”
You swore, you almost passed out right there.
Jun looked to Minghao accusingly, “Jesus, what did you do to her?”
“No, Jun,” Joshua shook his head. “Trust me when I say that I don’t sense any Minghao from this one.”
Your eyes were squeezed shut as you gripped the sides of your bed so hard that your knuckles were completely white, so you didn’t see the way Jun’s eyes widened.
“…What?” he asked just above a whisper.

•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
A sneeze was heard loudly echoing through the walls of the darkened room. It was around seven in the morning, and you were still in bed. Your alarm had stopped dreaming about ten minutes ago, but you couldn't find the willpower to get up and start getting ready for your classes.
The rest of the space shared with your roommate was awash in complete silence; there was no doubt that Minghao had left the bedroom a few minutes ago.
Unwilling to turn on the light on your bedside nightstand, you fumbled with the surface of your nightstand, finding a used handkerchief that you had left there in the early morning after struggling to sleep.
It seemed that no matter how much you blew your nose, one side of it was always completely unable to breathe.
Around four in the morning, you gave up, opting to breathe with your throat (something that was completely uncomfortable because you're not used to breathing that way).
After all, the cold air you had been exposed to the day before and the effort you had had to make to let oxygen into your body had ended up killing your throat, and now even breathing the smallest amount of air made you almost start crying.
A new sneeze came violently through your body, shaking you completely as it left your organism. At the burning sensation in your throat, you closed your eyes tightly, accepting the discomfort with resignation.
It was tiring; it felt as if thousands of knives were cutting the inside of your throat at the same time.
The screen of the phone that had been charging all night on your bedside table lit up, revealing that Minghao had sent you a message.
Minghao: You're on your way? I forgot my book for Economics III.
If the idea of skipping class had even appeared for a millisecond, it was completely gone.
I couldn't skip class now that Minghao had spoken to him.
Because skipping classes would mean having to tell Minghao that she was not going to attend, and it would involve having to admit that she had made a mistake.
Minghao had entered the same university as you in the same year. You had been studying the same major and attending the same classes from day one, but you hadn't seen or heard his name until you both found yourselves in the same dorm.
Minghao had requested a roommate change due to having constant problems with the one he had before, and you, being forced to get a new place to sleep that wasn't expensive, had no choice but to sign up for the college dorms.
Minghao had been the quietest person you had ever met, and that was a lot coming from you, who within three years had talked to, at most, about five people.
Was it any surprise that you had never seen him? Not really.
Making friends has been an extraordinarily difficult task for you ever since you were a little girl. For many years, you forced yourself to try to meet different people and keep in touch with them, but you soon discovered that if you didn't write to them, they never did.
And so you gradually began to drift further and further away from everyone, keeping only three friends who had shown that they cared about you as much as you cared about them.
So, at the beginning of your university career, you had promised yourself to focus more on your studies than on making friends, so you went to class, took notes, and when you finished, you hurried straight to the library to continue studying in complete silence for another three hours.
At first, living together was really awkward. Minghao didn't seem to know how to deal with you, and you didn't know how to deal with him.
And it was even more awkward when you passed each other in class because neither of you knew whether you should greet each other or just ignore each other.
Luckily, the relationship started to improve as soon as finals came around because both of you had a lot of studying to do and each of you had your own doubts.
They began to meet in the living room, sitting late at night reading and rereading the same books.
That's how they went from awkward roommates to roommates.
Your friendship began to forge when Minghao found you sitting in the bathroom with the door open and your phone in hand, crying uncontrollably.
That had been a bad week; not only were you extremely busy with all the group work and homework due in the various classes, but also the first exams had started, and you had failed one. So receiving a text message from your (at the time) boyfriend telling you that the relationship had come to an end was not in your plans, and as expected, the situation got the better of you.
Minghao stayed by your side all that night, making you tea and watching those movies you loved so much, and he didn't share your feelings towards them.
Becoming friends with Minghao meant that you had basically been adopted by the group of friends he had, and that meant that every two or three weeks they would get together somewhere to eat and take some of the stress out of college.
And it had been one of those get-togethers that had brought about the current state you were in at those moments.  If there was one thing Minghao always took pride in, it was telling you how right he was with everything he advised you:
"Don't drink five cups of coffee before you go to take your exam because you're going to feel like going to the bathroom the whole time."
"Don't lend money to that person; you barely know them."
"Don't put so much spice in that food; it will hurt your stomach."
And in every one of them, he had been right.
So, when Minghao looked at the weather on his phone and noticed the low temperatures, I sighed deeply.
I had been thinking about wearing a certain outfit for almost a week, but it wasn't warm at all, and the solution of putting a jacket on top, which Minghao proposed, was not to my liking.
"The cold is psychological." You spoke to the reflection on the other side of the mirror. From there, her eyes connected for a few moments with Minghao's, sitting on your bed.
"And the fever you're going to get is also going to be psychological." Minghao responded by rolling his eyes. "Don't be stupid; you're going to get sick."
"But you all look ugly!" I cried in frustration, walking over to my various coats and studying them one by one.
"Wear one of mine," Minghao shrugged, too intent on what was happening on the phone in his hands, "it's not that much trouble."
The topic wasn't touched on again; Minghao seemed satisfied with the 'I'll think about it later' answer, and you just prayed that miraculously the sub-zero degrees would disappear.
"Which one are you going to want?" Minghao asked, entering your bedroom with a knock on the door. In her hands, she carried three different coats, all black.
"None," I replied, still finishing touching up my makeup, "thank you."
Minghao frowned, "But it's getting five degrees below zero." Minghao reminded you incredulously, "What are you going to wear?"
"I'm going to go like this; inside the restaurant, it's not going to be that cold."
"Yeah, but in the ten-minute walk to get to the restaurant, it's going to be cold."
"It's only ten minutes; how bad can it be?"
Minghao rolled his eyes, muttering "whatever'.

It was worse than just bad.
Even today, underneath the warmth wrapped around your body from the blankets, you could feel the cold you had experienced the day before.
You: Where is it?
You: "I'll be there in half an hour."
Once again, you blew your nose; it was already red and burning every time the handkerchief touched the irritated area.
You looked as horrible as you felt.
You were just praying that the makeup would cover up any traces of discomfort.

Minghao was sitting in his usual seat; his hand was extended in the air, catching your attention.
He had reserved the seat next to you so that the two of you could sit together.
Your head was throbbing and your body felt weak, but you were determined not to let Minghao notice your condition. So you walked quickly to the seat next to his, pretending that the ragged breathing and sloppy movements were only because you were still tired and not because of the discomfort you felt.Taking a step felt like walking on the sand at the beach, only this one weighed about seventy pounds and stuck to your feet.
"Did you bring it?" Minghao asked as soon as your body settled into the seat. You nodded in response, still not confident that your voice came out at all well. You had tried talking out loud in the bathroom before, and it seemed as if a demon was struggling to speak.
You pulled a large book out of your backpack, relieving the bag of the extra weight it didn't usually carry.
Minghao sighed in relief, stowing it in his own backpack.
While he was distracted, you pulled out a handkerchief from inside your backpack, quickly wiping your nose, and hiding it back in your jean pocket in time to talk to Minghao.
Luckily, Minghao filled much of the conversation, leaving you with the job of reacting or mumbling occasionally to his stories.
The economics III professor entered the classroom, and everyone automatically fell silent.
As the professor began to speak, you discreetly reached back into your bag and pulled out the pack of tissues you had hidden, realizing that the tissue you had grabbed earlier wasn't going to be enough for the rest of the class and that the professor had no intention of slowing down today's class just because you were feeling under the weather.
The professor asked a question that your brain didn't pick up on at all; you just weren't there.
Physically, you were there, but your brain didn't pick up on any of the difficult words your professor was saying.
Your notes reflected it; they were a mess.
You hadn't even managed to make a coherent sentence; most of them stopped mid-sentence because you couldn't keep up.
Minghao looked at your notes, trying to find some word he probably hadn't been able to understand, but he frowned as he looked at your notes.
This was unusual.
Usually you even wrote whenever the teacher took a break or took a breath, so why were you a mess today?
"I read this before," you excused yourself, "it's all in the book."
Which you weren't too sure would do any good since you hadn't even touched that book in the last week, but Minghao seemed to agree with that answer as he quickly rushed to write down what the professor was saying.
Suddenly he stopped speaking, his eyes traveling to the faces of the students in front of him.
You settled into your seat, sitting up straight and adjusting your posture.
You could make out a cough forming in the back of your throat, so you quickly cleared your throat softly, disguising the tickle that threatened to trigger a coughing fit at any moment.
Minghao looked at you with a worried expression. "Are you okay?" he asked.
You quickly smiled at him, shaking your head. "I'm perfectly fine," you reassured him, your voice sounding louder than it really felt. "I'm still very sleepy."
Minghao nodded, looking at your face for a couple of seconds before dropping the subject and turning his attention to the class.
You reached for your water bottle, hoping that the cold liquid would help quell the feeling that you were about to start coughing.
Taking a deep breath, you scolded yourself.
It was just a cold; for God's sake, it wasn't the end of the world, and it was stupid how much it was affecting you.
You stirred in the seat, trying to find a comfortable position to ease the persistent muscle pain.
As you attempted (and failed miserably) to keep your mind in the present, your brain was constantly repeating the same thing over and over again.
"He warned me about this; why was I so stupid? I should have listened."
"Next time, I'll not be this stubborn..."
"Just a little longer, I can make it through the day; just one more hour...
The painkillers you took on your way to your class were not helping at all; it felt as if you hadn't taken them at all.  A sudden wave of dizziness washed over you; everything was moving.  You stopped writing for a second, until it got better.  Minghao turned to look at you, noticing you were not writing anything down. You send him a smile in return, forcing yourself to focus on the teacher's words and desperately trying to appear engaged.
The class finished with their teacher reminding them to read the next two chapters of their book for the next class.
"Shall we go home?" You asked, already rushing to the exit.
"Oh, Jeonghan asked to study together at the library this morning, and I told him we would be joining them, but if you don't want to-"
"Oh, no, yeah! Yeah! Let's go!" You forced a cheerful smile, hoping your eyes didn't give away how dead you were actually feeling.
"You sure? They will understand if you want to go home." Minghao asked you once again just to make sure.  In response, you nodded, already heading to the library.  "Wait!"  Minghao rushed to grab your wrist and say, "We should eat something; I'm starving, aren't you?"
If anything, you were feeling like you were about to throw up because of how bad you were feeling.  but you nodded nonetheless.

"You have barely touched your food." Minghao commented with a frown.  Today was slightly better than the day before; the sun was kindly warming everybody under its rays.  The group had agreed to move from the library to the concrete seats and tables outside so they could all have a small lunch and talk for a little bit before starting to study.
"I'm still kind of full from breakfast." You replied, your fork moving the noodles from side to side.
"Breakfast happened almost five hours ago; you can't possibly be full for that long." Minghao replied, at the same time that Jeonghan moved closer to you, his hand coming into contact with your forehead.
"You're hot."
"Thank you, I know." You replied, biting your lip seductively at him and pushing his hand away from your forehead with a smack.
Jeonghan's hand came back to your face, this time holding your chin and moving your face from left to right. "Your cheeks are red as well; I think you might have caught that virus that's going on around campus."
"What virus?" Mingyu asked. Your tallest friend was finishing his own lunch, liking his fingers, and eyeing the food you had in front of you.
"The one everybody is talking about, Seungcheol got it last week." Jeonghan replied. "He has been throwing up once every hour."  Minghao frowned, checking your forehead himself.
"I'm fine, just not hungry." You replied, pushing your food in Mingyu's direction.
"Nah-ah," he shook his head, "if you're sick, I don't want to have it."
You tipped your tongue. "Such an ungrateful brat."
"I've got finals next week; I can't be throwing up!" He defended himself. "Trust me, if you weren't sick, I would eat it."
"You should probably go back home and sleep." Minghao suggested.
"I told you I'm fine!" You snapped, closing your eyes for a second to control your emotions. "I'm totally fine; I just want to study and get over it. Please"
Mingyu sighed, "Fine, but you're buying us coffee. If we're putting up with this attitude, this is the last thing you can do for us."
You bite your tongue, shutting down the need to tell Mingyu to go and fuck himself.  "Fine."

"Race 'til the bus stop! Let's see who gets there first!" Mingyu shouted, taking advantage of his long legs.
It wasn't fair; in two strides, he had outpaced the others.
Jeonghan started running as fast as he could, as did Minghao.
You took a deep breath; your body was screaming for you not to.
It was already under too much stress from whatever it was battling at the time (a virus or a cold, or at worst, both) for you to demand that it use what little energy you had left in a race.
But you knew that if you didn't run, others would again insist that something wasn't right.
"I won!"  Mingyu sang happily; he was the only one standing up; Jeonghan was laying down on the ground, trying to catch his breath; and Minghao was sitting with his legs wide open, both breathing quickly.
"No shit Sherlock." You commented sarcastically, sitting next to Jeonghan. "At least give us a chance."
"I would usually do it, but today you weren't even trying." Mingyu frowned.  You rolled your eyes. Running has only made you breathe with your mouth, and the cold air that was entering your body only caused more harm.
"What do you mean?"
"You're sick." Minghao said calmly, "Just as I told you." He reminded you, looking straight into your eyes.
"I don't know what you're saying." You denied.  Minghao shook his head. Taking his own scar from his neck and softly wrapping your own neck with its warmth.
"Stop it; you sweated it!" You faked disgust.
"Stop acting like a five-year-old." He said it coldly.
You froze in your spot, stopping to try to take the scarf off your neck.
You could feel Jeonghan and Mingyu's eyes on your discussion. You felt your cheeks and eyes turning from pink to red in embarrassment.
"I don't."
"Yeah, you do," Minghao replied calmly. "I told you to wear a jacket, and you didn't."
"Stop acting like my dad." You complained, standing up as the bus started coming near the bus stop.
You went first, trying to get as far away from Minghao as possible, hoping that both Jeonghan and Mingyu would understand it and save your ass from Minghao's nagging that was just waiting for you.
But of course, they were completely assholes and chose to sit together two rows behind both of you.
Minghao paid for his ticket, walking towards you.You avoided looking at him for the first five minutes, knowing he was looking at you—or the window, since both were in the same direction—in the reflection of the window.
"I'm sorry for reacting that way." Minghao whispered near your ear, not wanting the people next to them to listen to their conversation. "I didn't want to upset you."
You looked at his reflection for a couple of seconds before choosing the words you were going to use.
"I know," you started, turning to face him, "and I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier."
"If you were feeling that bad, you could just tell me; I would have given you my notes after class."
Minghao looked sad.
and seeing your friend sad made you feel sad.
"I'm sorry, it's just that the whole "I told you" thing is so annoying."
"But I did, in fact, tell you so."
"I know!" You exasperated. "I know you did! You always do, and it's insufferable. For me, it is. I feel like I can't make any mistakes because, at first sight of them, you're the first one to point them out." You left it all out.
"I don't." Minghao said, looking confused. "I didn't say that to make fun of your mistakes or anything like that. Never. I just want to point out that I did tell you because most of the time you just shut people down as soon as they say something you don't like, but sometimes you need to hear that."
"You're stubborn, extremely stubborn." He continued. "And that stubbornness will get you hurt or sick sometime." Just like right now."
Your emotions were all over the place, and now, at the slightly rice voice from Minghao, you were ready to boil your eyes out.
Minghao saw your watery eyes, stopped talking, and painted his face with worry.
"Don't cry, oh my god, I'm sorry, please don't cry."
Minghao wrapped his arm around your shoulders, awkwardly bringing you closer to his body, trying to comfort you by hugging you.
 "I'm sorry.  "I'm such a dick; you're already sick; please don't cry."
You wanted to tell him that it was okay, that you were in fact mostly crying because of how horrible you felt and how exhausted, both mentally and physically, you felt, but instead, you rested your head on his shoulder, letting the tears run freely on your face and wetting Minghao's hoodie.
The warmth that Minghao's body emitted was comforting; it was like having your own personal sun.
The sweet smell from his shampoo invaded your nose, making you feel safe in the familiarity of the smell.
It was nice to let all the tears out. It was like finally acknowledging how awful you had been feeling since you woke up.
It sucked.
Minghao brushed your hair, cleaning your cheeks from the old tears.
"We're almost home." He whispered, noticing that you were way calmer now that you had let everything out.
You nodded, closing your eyes and focusing on Minghao's delicate touch on your hair, trying to come back to reality.
The bus stopped, and you both went down, walking towards your shared dorm.
"I'll prepare you a bath." Minghao said, letting you take your time taking your shoes off.
"It's okay; you don't have to."
"I want to; it's my "I'm sorry for being a shitty friend" way to apologize."
"But you're not a bad friend." You corrected him.
Minghao smiled, disappearing into the bathroom.
You went to your bedroom, looking for your favorite pajamas. The only thing you wanted to do was take a bath and sleep for the rest of the day.
Minghao called you, letting you know everything was ready, leaving the bathroom all to yourself to enjoy the rose bomb bath he had.
The water was warm, and it smelled so good.
It felt so good in your sick body.
Your muscles are finally relaxing.
You stayed there until the water started to get cold, and as you started to get dressed, the smell of chicken soup hit you.
Minghao was waiting with the table seated.
"This is my mom's famous chicken soup," he told you, filling your glass with more water. "She always made me drink it whenever I was sick, so enjoy it; it's delicious."
"Wow, he's so humble; he compliments his own food." You joked but tried it anyway, your empty stomach welcoming the food with eagerness.
"So?   How's it?"   Minghao asked, looking attentive to your every move.
"Delicioso!"   You answer in a terrible accent.
"Is that Spanish?" Minghao asked, confused.
"It's really, really good!" "It brings the Spanish out in me!"
Minghao laughed, saying, "There's more if you want; you should really eat well; you barely ate today."
You nodded.
He was right.
"Stay tomorrow; I'll take care of taking good notes so you can study later, okay?"
"But I'll feel better tomorrow."
Minghao rolled his eyes. "You'll go to class and spend two hours attempting to take notes while your mind is everywhere but the class; let your body and mind relax for tomorrow. It's just one day; it won't hurt."
You were about to start an argument, but you remembered the words Minghao told you earlier.
"Okay."   You replied instead, "But make sure everything's in Korean, please, or at least let me know in advance if there's anything in Chinese. I can barely deal with a second language while sick; I don't think I'll be able to deal with one I don't speak at all."
"Sure thing, let's watch a movie." Minghao proposed, deciding that it would be best to watch it in your bedroom, just in case you fell asleep.
"What do you want to watch?" You asked him while getting comfortable under the blankets.
"Whatever you want." Minghao replied, logging into his Netflix account from his laptop. "I'm fine with whatever."
"Mean girls?" you asked.
Minghao nodded, watching the movie.
You knew Minghao wasn't a big fan of that movie, but you appreciated the fact that he was watching it with you.
"I want to cuddle," you confessed; this was something your mom always did when you were a kid, and we're feeling particularly sick.
Minghao didn't say anything; he moved behind you, doing as you asked.
"Thanks."    You mumbled.
"Don't fall asleep; we haven't even gotten to the pink Wednesday part yet." Minghao joked.
"Tomorrow is Wednesday; we should also wear pink." You said your mind was half awake, half asleep.
"The only oink thing you're going to wear tomorrow is going to be your pajamas, but sure, let's do it." Minghao agreed.
 You smiled.
Your eyes were burning from exhaustion.
And without thinking twice, you let your kind shut down, allowing your body the rest it wished for the whole day, feeling safe in Minghao's arms.

saturday rain
Tumblr media
PAIRING: xu minghao x reader GENRE: strangers on the park, hurt-comfort WC: 577 WARNING: reader is stressed out
Minghao thinks there's something magical about Saturday's rain. After a long week of work, Saturday feels like the reward, but at the same time the calm before the storm. So when the weather forecast on his phone gives a 100% probability of rain (meaning it already rains when he checked the app, he just wants to make sure that the rain is equal in every part of town), he goes out with his umbrella.
His feet involuntarily make their way to the park. He expected it to be empty, even though he hoped to see little kids running around just enjoying the rain.
He did not, however, expect to see someone sitting on the bench, wearing a yellow raincoat. Getting rained on, alone, yet your face shows no emotion.
You don't seem to notice him and he wishes he could do the same. A thousand thoughts run around his head, a classic mental battle of whether should he approach you or not. he doesn't even know you but he's growing worrisome as minutes pass by and you stay unmoved.
"Care for a company?" he asks, finally approaching you. You try to wipe the water in your face to no extent.
"I don't mean to be rude," you start with a shaky voice. "But I'm completely fine," you look up to him, offering a thin smile. "I guess," you add.
Minghao just nods before walking away from you to the center of the park. At least he asked, right?
Minutes later, he found himself sitting far away from you, watching your back for signs of shaking, or anything. Anything that tells him you still feel something. He knows he will be crossing so many boundaries that he would never want if he's on the receiving end, but he can't. He can't just stand by and watch while you wait for the rain to hit a certain button that will break the dam.
So Minghao sat next to you. He doesn't talk or anything, just holding the umbrella for the both of you. He doesn't mind getting a little soaked in the left part of his body. He doesn't mind it too when you start sobbing uncontrollably. Your cries pierce through his heart, drowning the sound of the rain itself.
When you finally stop crying, the dark clouds have lifted. Only drizzle remains as the skies get clearer.
Hao stood up, offering a handkerchief that somehow ended up in the pocket of his coat, which you gladly take.
"Keep it," Minghao said. He had wanted to tell you to call him if you needed a friend to talk to or a shoulder to cry on so that at least you're not alone. But he couldn't. He shouldn't.
You thanked him quietly, trying to steady your voice. He nodded quickly before leaving you alone once again. Minghao made a mental note to come to visit the park more frequently in the future, waiting for you in your yellow raincoat.
And you, well, you watched as he walked away. A streak of color appeared on the horizon where he was headed. On top of that, you wished that the rules of "there's always rainbows after the rain" would still apply to your life.
When Minghao looked up ahead, a thin smile formed on his face. After all, there's still magic on Saturday's rain, and he prayed that the magic would still be on his side (and yours) until you meet again.

. .ㅤ🧸 Daisy Dating Life ! 🥠💭🔒
Kim Jongin ( Kai - Exo )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daisy and Kai dated each other in 2017. They met during the ISAC (Idol Star Athletics Championships) in which there were multiples Exo and Seventeen interactions. They casually met when they were chanting for their group in the archery competition, and after a casual talk, they decided to know each other better in a different context. They never expose the relationship as she was just twenty, and this was her first boyfriend ever and wasn't ready to deal with the consequences of an idol who's dating another big star of kpop. As her first time experimenting being in love with someone, she gave him her everything, and felt like she was living a fairytale! But this story is different from the Disney princess movies, because at the beginning of 2019, she found out through Dispatch that he was dating Jennie from Blackpink, and so she was cheated on, and broke up.

Jung Wooyoung ( Ateez )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wooyoung from Ateez was just a dating rumors but wasn't actually her boyfriend. All started in the late 2019 when Wooyoung was a rookie, and since then expressed his admiration for Seventeen and in particular, as the main dancer who he is, for Hoshi and Daisy! While in a fansign, carats asked Daisy is she knew who Ateez were, and when she nodded with widened eyes , she also added that Wooyoung had amazing dancing skills and would love to met him! It wasn't that much later when Koreaboo wrote a whole ass article about these two being a couple, when they met only once at Mama 2019. Actually she is closer to Ateez leader Hongjoong, both from the 98' line of kpop, not knowing very well how to approach Wooyoung after the dating rumors.

Xu Minghao ( The8 - Seventeen )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minghao and Daisy, are as for now (2023) a couple.
The relationship began as a friends to lovers trope; being in the same group and unit, spending every day together and sharing feelings, stories, emotions, passions, thoughts and so on, led them to be more than siblings or best friends. They have never thought of the other as a possible crush, but while time was passing by, even the members noticed that something was blooming. When they admitted their feelings for each other in the early 2020 and started dating, after years of friendships, they began to be truly happy. Pledis is aware of them and the bound they have but prefer not saying anything to the fandom even though carats ships them since debut, and # Hyehao is always trending everywhere, waiting for the time they reveal their relationship !

this is the short minghao series i was mentioning. the shitty boyfriend is hoshi But I do NOt think this relates to hoshi in real life at all he just fits the bad guy in this story.
Tumblr media
you x minghao eventually.
genre: friends to lovers? pining?
part 1
“I love you”
“I love you too” you said patting Hoshi’s cheek affectionately.
“I’m so happy it’s been six months. Not counting the three months it took of flirting for you to realize I had a crush on you” he said pecking your lips.
“And… not including the two years we were friends first” you pecked his cheek.
“But who is really keeping track?” He said sarcastically, kissing you again.
“Disgusting” Dino groaned.
“I’ll let you get back to practicing. I’ll see you later tonight?” You asked as you hugged your boyfriend tightly.
“Of course. I’ll be over at 11” you kissed him goodbye, accompanied by more groans from the other group members in the room. Hoshi smiled as you left. He was beyond happy finally able to call you, his girlfriend.
“Can you not do that around us?” Dino asked the door closed behind you.
“I can’t help it!” Hoshi defended, wide smile not leaving his face.
“She’s too amazing” he added.
That was six months ago. You thought back to how happy being in love had felt. Or so you thought. Now, you found yourself at the dorms waiting. It was getting late. Sitting on the couch in your sexiest black dress, you sighed as you were joined by Minghao who sensed your unhappiness.
“Well, I’m guessing practice didn’t run late since you are here?” you asked him. He shook his head.
“Any idea where he is?” You asked. Again, Minghao shook his head.
“This dress is his favorite. So, I figure I’d surprise him and wear it for our anniversary” you scoffed.
“Doesn’t matter now. We’ve missed the reservation…” you added checking your phone again. You thought about calling Hoshi once more but decided against it. He didn’t answer the first ten times, why would this time be different?
“I’m sorry. You do look very nice” Minghao complimented. A small smile appeared on your face as you thanked him.
You began to think about calling it a night when the door burst open. Laughter and shouting followed your boyfriend into the room. You stood up and crossed your arms.
“Babe!” He said walking over, arms wide ready to give you a hug. You ducked out of the way, and he sighed.
“Sorry. Practice ran late” he said. You could smell the alcohol even through the distance separating you.
“Really? First you are late. Then you lie to me?” You counted on your fingers what was annoying you.
Minghao watched the exchange between you and your boyfriend. He had watched the slow spiral downwards of your relationship and didn’t get it. You were amazing. Why was Hoshi choosing to treat you like shit?
“I’m a little bit late. It’s no big deal”
“We had plans, remember? Dinner?”
“Is that why you are looking so sexy” Hoshi leaned in trying to kiss you and you pushed him away softly.
“Yes actually. It’s our anniversary” you crossed your arms and waited for a response.
Hoshi rubbed his eyes and sighed. A blast of alcohol filled breath hit your nostrils.
“Babe, I’m so sorry. Babe, tomorrow night. I promise”
“Fine, but if-“
“Wait! no, sorry! I told the guys we would karaoke tomorrow night” you stared at him in disbelief.
“You can remember hanging out with your friends but not your girlfriend? For our anniversary?” You didn’t get mad. You didn’t raise your voice. You just looked so sad. This broke Minghao’s heart. It made him mad for you.
“I’m just going to head home” you said after Hoshi just shrugged. You grabbed your coat and purse, hoping he would at least walk you out.
As you got to the door and placed a hand on the handle, you turned and saw your boyfriend goofing off with his friends again. It was like you hadn’t even been there.
Noticing Hoshi did not seem to be even aware of your departure, Minghao rose from the couch and ran after you. He met you as the elevator doors were opening.
“Let me walk you home” he offered.
“No, that’s alright” you said stepping onto the elevator. He followed you anyways.
“You can’t just leave the dorms” you said smiling. This was very sweet of him.
“I can’t let you walk home in that dress” he said not looking at you. You let out a small laugh.
“I don’t think it’s that eye catching. Hoshi didn’t seem to notice” you shrugged as the elevator began its descent.
“He’s blind. Everyone noticed” Minghao added.
“Thank you” you said feeling your cheeks warm up at his many compliments. You weren’t sure what else to say, and Minghao was quiet as well. Both of you were lost in your own thoughts.
As the elevator got to the bottom floor, you assumed he would turn around. But he didn’t. He walked out into the dark night and empty street with you.
“Please, you really don’t have to!” you said turning to face him. You shivered as the breeze ruffled your hair.
He didn’t say anything but took his jacket off and wrapped it around you.
“Thank you! But really, I don’t want you to get in trouble!” You continued debating, wrapping the jacket tighter around your shoulders. Minghao smiled.
“Can I just show you for a moment how you should’ve been treated tonight? Without you arguing?” He asked.
“Well…” you didn’t know how to respond.
“Which direction do you live? Don’t make me guess” he said, still smiling. You laughed at him and pointed.
“This way. It isn’t far” you said and began walking next to him. You sighed after a moment of silence had passed. You felt bad Hoshi wasn’t here. But it was his fault. You were mad at him. But you should support him when he might be stressed. He was very busy with group activities and practice all the time. There were times when you’d have to be his last priority. But to ditch you for his friends? That was uncalled for.
“What are you thinking about?” Minghao asked, cutting through your train of thoughts. He had been watching you chew your bottom lip and scrunch your eyebrows. He felt like he already knew the answer, but the silence had to be stopped. He didn’t want you to be brooding all by yourself.
“Nothing important” you lied.
“I know you are lying but I’ll stay silent in the hopes that you continue on your own” he said, and you found yourself smiling again.
“I just don’t know how much longer I can put up with this” you began.
“You shouldn’t have to put up with it at all” he added putting his hands in his pockets.
“He never used to be like this. You know… with the drinking and partying. I just don’t feel like a have a spot in his life anymore”
“It’s his loss honestly”
“Thank you. Why are you being so nice to me tonight?” you laughed and linked your arm in his. He looked down at it and smiled again.
“I’m only treating you how you should be treated. It’s easy to treat someone so great when they are so great” You didn’t know how to respond, so you looked down at your feet.
“Maybe I’m just a protective person, but I really hate how he’s been treating you lately” he continued.
“I’ll talk to him. When he is sober” you told him as you reached the door to your apartment lobby.
“I think you should be getting back” you told him as you leaned against the wall next to the door.
“I don’t need you to journey all the way up to my apartment with me”
“I wouldn’t mind if I did” you pulled him into a hug when he said this.
“I don’t want you to get in trouble”
“Coups will understand when I tell him what I was doing. He wouldn’t want you to walk home alone either” Minghao shrugged.
“No, not with him…” silence passed between you two until you decided to fill him in.
“I don’t think Hoshi would appreciate us spending time alone like this” you said and bit your lip again. For the briefest moment, Minghao wished he was the one biting your lip, but he quickly pushed that thought away. You were right. He nodded and turned away quickly, heading in the direction of the dorms.
When he got back nothing much had changed. A group of guys was sitting on the couch laughing and a few cans of beer were open on the small table in the room. Minghao tried to join in, but his mind was elsewhere.
“Hey, help me get some more beers” Seungcheol patted Minghao’s shoulder. Minghao stood and followed him to the kitchen.
“Nice of you to walk y/n home” the leader stated as he opened the refrigerator. Minghao nodded.
“Hoshi wasn’t going to. I wanted to make sure she was safe”
“I understand that, but are you sure that’s all there was to it?” Seungcheol asked as he closed the refrigerator door, handing Minghao some cans of beer.
“That’s all” Minghao felt like he wasn’t lying. Making sure you were safe was his focus. Getting to spend time with you was secondary. Seungcheol didn’t believe Minghao, but he didn’t question it as Minghao left the kitchen and brought out the beer. He placed them on the table and headed to his room.

“oh my god, i’ve literally been looking for you everywhere!”
your sentence wouldn’t come as a surprise to minghao if he actually knew who you were. but one look at you, beaming at him under the dim bar lights, tells him everything: he’s never seen you in his life.
and somehow, you seem to be convinced that the two of you are best of friends. you’re sliding onto the empty bar stool next to him — not too close, not enough to make him uncomfortable, but close enough to make it seem like you guys are here together. and you’re not. because he came with jun and dino and soonyoung, who are currently in the midst of the crowded dance floor.
slowly, after one long look — just to be sure — minghao speaks. “i’m sorry,” he says, finally. “do i know you?”
you don’t even answer the question, you just start laughing: clearly, you’re absolutely wasted. “don’t be silly,” you giggle, and it’s kind of the best sound minghao’s ever heard, but that really isn’t his priority right now.
you wave the bartender over before he can stop you. “hiiii,” you sing, to the slightly bemused dude behind the counter. “can i get — ”
“water,” minghao chips in quickly, casting a concerned eye over your swaying body. “get them some water, please.”
it doesn’t take long, and yet in the short space of time, your energy completely fades. one second you’re bobbing your head to the thumping bass; the next second, your eyes are drooping, and you look moments away from slumping over the counter in exhaustion.
“are you good?” minghao says, sudden alarm seeping into his voice; he does not want to be responsible for someone passing out, and so he twists open the water bottle, handing it to you and watching dubiously as you gulp it down.
“did you know,” you announce, once you’ve finished, “that cows have best friends?”
(minghao doesn’t know what he was expecting, but it really wasn’t that.)
still, he can’t help the amusement that exudes from his voice. “oh, yeah?”
“yes!” you say, with sudden, renewed enthusiasm. “someone told me they feel sad when their best friends aren’t around, too. isn’t that just cool?”
“sure,” he humours you, partly because your excitement about this is kind of sweet, and partly because he’s glancing around the bar to see if anyone’s looking for you. “hey, did you come here alone?”
you wave a vague hand to your right. “i think karina and jaehyun are over there. somewhere.”
your indifference is both entertaining and a little concerning. “okay, can i call one of them for you?”
you pout — you actually pout. “i haven’t told you about the seahorses yet!”
and minghao doesn’t know whether to laugh or not, because this is one of the strangest predicaments he’s ever been put in, but there’s something about you — he can’t put his finger on it. he just knows that you look gorgeous, even drunk under shitty lighting, and something that feels suspiciously like butterflies churns in his stomach when he looks at you.
but you still seem a little drunk, and so minghao orders you another water, opening the bottle for you again. he watched as you drink it down, idly wondering whether the sparkles in your eyes are from the alcohol, or if they’re always there. (he thinks he’d like to find out.)
you let him call karina then, and when she picks up (“oh my god, finally, ___, where have you been?”) minghao finally learns your name. he repeats it over and over inside his head; he’s going to remember this one.
“i guess you’re a little more sober,” he notices, a few moments after hanging up with your friend — he can tell, by the clarity dawning in those pretty eyes, and the embarrassed smile that takes over your face.
you drop your face into your hands, as though you’re recalling what you’ve said. “oh my god,” you groan into your palms, “i am — i am so sorry.”
he really can’t help the laugh that spills from his lips. even your embarrassment is endearing. “you’re fine,” he assures, trying to restrain his smile. “i had a great time, actually.”
your face is still twisted into a mortified grimace, and your words trip over each other, garbled in your flustered state. “i — i mean, thank you, but i really — oh my god.”
“i was thinking,” minghao says, waving your phone — it’s still in his hand. “you could tell me about those seahorses. over coffee, maybe.”
you look at him with wonder in your eyes — “i mean. are you sure?”
“i’m sure,” he replies, the smallest of smirks pulling at his lips, “if you are.”
you say yes, and minghao thinks he hasn’t smiled this wide for a while. and just as he’s finishing typing his number into your phone, a girl he can only assume is karina appears.
there are hurried goodbyes, and a quick promise from you to text him — which you clinch by linking your pinky with his, and that only seals it for him. it’s early, and maybe the few sips of alcohol have gone to his head, but he thinks something special is going to happen.
and when he hears your hushed, humiliated whisper as you leave (“rina, i told him about the cows.”), he thinks the something special has already happened, and it’s hit him out of nowhere. like a tornado. or a hurricane, or a comet, or you.

A party invite.
Word count 534
Tumblr media
              🥳 Party 🥳
Party at an abandoned mental hospital? Everyone is attending!
Everyone? The organizers have turned it into a fright fest.
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Carved pumpkins with flickering candles light the path to the entrance. The door creaks as it opens, where is everyone?
This is more  like a funeral than a party! Where is he?
Ring ring ring….voice mail!
Did that bastard stand me up??
"I'm inside"
"Where?"
"Find me!"
Texts! Damn guy, pushing the door the creaking echoes and bounces off the walls, stepping over the threshold looking in every direction, nothing, no one where the hell is he?
Movement, someone is wearing a clown costume, great I hate clowns! Oh shit they are coming towards me.
"Hello"
Silence.
"Hello"
Silence.
Looking at the silent party goer, the costume, the mask, freaky as all hell, no shoes!
They have no shoes! In fact, no feet! Maggots fall through  the legs of the costume and hit the floor, writhing on the ground.
SSSSCCCRRRREEEAAAMMM.
Run, run my legs are immobile, frozen.
Run run run.
Distant creaking, slow and methodical. Creek creek creek.
A wheelchair.
It's moving, it's empty!
Shit it  is headed in my direction.
Run run run!
Ding ding ding.
The elevator doors open.
How are they even working?
Auxiliary power?
The elevator doors close, the third floor icon lights up.
I have to get out of here!
The doors are locked and bolted.
I'm trapped!
Minghao, where the hell are you?
Creaking resumes. The wheelchair, someone is sitting on it moving it covered with a white sheet, blood is that blood?
Yanking the sheet away, a mannequin! What the ?
Screw this I'm going home!
Footsteps! Someone is on the above floors. Doors open a close followed by laughter filled with hysterical overtones.
"Minghao I'm leaving!"
"Help me!"
What?"
"I'm locked in a room on the third floor"
Damnit!
I'm not using the elevator. Where are the stairs?
Dust! Spiderwebs and bugs!
Leaping up the stairs, 1st floor.
Climbing up behind stairs once more, 2nd floor.
One more flight to go.
3rd floor.
"Minghao" saying his name loud and clear.
Silence.
"Minghao, where  are you?"
Bang bang bang.
Startled and frozen like a deer caught in  headlights.
That's got to be him? Right?
Following the bashing booming sound.
It's a locker!
Opening the door and stepping back.
Tumblr media
Jack Skellingon jumps out of the locker, arms outstretched coming towards, survival mode kicks in,  flying down the staircase like a morning dove, the door,  run for the door!
Fuck its locked!
Picking up a chair.
Aiming and tossing with all my might.
Shattered glass flies in every direction.
I'm bleeding, I don't care!
Jumping out the window.
Run run run.
Jack Skellingon is following me.
He is gaining on me.
Run ru..
Shit!
My face eats the dirt.
Jack Skellingon is on top of me
"Babe calm down"
With my free hand I slap him across the face as hard as I can.
Cursing and swearing, Jack Skellingon holds his grip tightly, while I try to make a break for it.
"Babe it's me! Calm down"
"Minghao?"
"Yes!"
"You bastard"
Which is followed by another slap across the face and words better left not repeated.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
here’s the thing: minghao isn’t stupid.
he knows better. he truly does. he isn’t some idiot stuck at a claw machine at an arcade, doesn’t keep feeding it his money while never getting any closer to winning a prize. minghao knows when to quit something, when to step away.
that’s why he broke things off with you, after all. he had thought it would be easy. the two of you weren’t in a real relationship. you weren’t like tom cruise and nichole kidman – the two of you were just fucking. no strings attached.
but of course there were strings attached. you’re the kid sister to his friend and bandmate, josh; at first minghao thought he would be fine keeping it a secret. he didn’t need to take you out on dates and show you off like you were the best thing since bon jovi. the two of you were content in each other’s arms, naked chest against naked chest, legs intertwined as you dozed off.
minghao, however, wasn’t stupid.
he knew there were strings attached to the both of you. he knew that it was a bad idea, fucking his bandmate’s little sister. every time he kissed your warm mouth, he knew he was betraying josh’s trust. it wasn’t fair of him to to that to josh, and it wasn’t fair of him to put you, josh’s sister, in a position to lie to your own brother.
so minghao took initiative and broke off the relationship.
he wasn’t stupid, and he knew the first time he would see you after breaking up with you would be hard. he knew it would be. it’s hard for real couples, for couples that hold hands as they walk down the street and talk about what to name the cat they’re going to adopt. he had imagined it would be hard, to some degree, to see you. the two of you might have steered away from such topics as rings and shared apartments and other things that left the fantasy of forever in your minds, but he knew you. he knew how you sighed after he kissed the space under your ear, he knew how you looked fresh from the shower with your face shining from the heat of the water. he knew how you looked when you concentrated on painting your toes, how you looked when you begged him to see clueless at the theater because josh thought it would be stupid and you didn’t know who else to ask.
he knew you, and perhaps that was worse than dating you.
he knew you, and you knew him, and minghao isn’t stupid but he didn’t know that seeing you again would hurt so much.
you look beautiful. you always do, according to minghao. you’re sitting on that old couch josh and him spent an hour trying to shove into the garage for their band practices. you’re wearing ridiculous clothes, baggy comfy pants and the ugly oversized sweater with the worn collar and checkers and stripes on it. you’re talking to soonyoung, hands waving excitedly as the two of you laugh. your beauty bubbles out with every breath of laughter, seems to radiate in your chest like a little star, and minghao knows that even if winona ryder was in the room with them he would still choose you as the most beautiful.
you catch sight of minghao. you shoot him a grin, large and inviting, as if he hadn’t made you cry last week. you give him a little wave. “hi, minghao!”
and then you turn back to soonyoung, your knee pressed against his.
it’s so ridiculous; he’s ridiculous. minghao feels his stomach twist, as if someone was wringing it like a wash cloth after doing dirty dishes. you’re beautiful and radiant, and you spoke two words to minghao before turning to soonyoung, as if minghao wasn’t anyone particularly special.
he can’t help but stare at you. you lift a hand, and, in a move he recognizes as you flirting because you’ve done it to him when you want him to fuck you, you tuck your hair back behind your ear. you are wearing small pearl stud earrings and immediately minghao recognizes them as the ones he bought for you a year and a half ago, right before the two of you started fucking.
you tuck your hair back behind your ear and soonyoung watches, his mouth parted a little, and minghao feels like he needs to punch something.
“funny, isn’t it?” josh says, appearing at minghao’s side. josh runs his tongue over his lip ring, pulling at the sleeves of his plaid jacket. “it looks like soonyoung’s got a crush on my kid sister.”
“yeah,” minghao says, throat tight. he watches as soonyoung edges slightly closer, his thigh now pressed firmly against yours. you don’t move away. minghao wants you to move away, or better yet, slap soonyoung.
minghao isn’t a violent person, either. he isn’t violent, nor is he jealous. but once he also had thought he was above the lure of lust, was above giving into the craving of needing your body against his, dick stuffed in your pussy and his mouth dominating yours.
maybe you just had some sort of power over him that no one else did. maybe it’s like that movie practical magic, and you’ve placed a spell on him, bewitching him.
“i think he’s going to ask her out soon,” josh carries on, as if he’s ignorant to the way minghao is one step from having a crisis. “i saw the drive-in is going to be playing jurassic park. i remember when it first came out and how much she loved seeing it at the theater. it’ll be a good chance for soonyoung to ask her on a date.”
minghao scoffs. “you know he’s scared of that movie. whenever we bring out the vhs he runs.”
josh shrugs. “if he likes her as much as i think he does, i think soonyoung will be fine.”
“and you’re okay with it?” minghao turns to josh, putting his back to you and soonyoung. “you’re totally okay with soonyoung dating your sister?”
josh shrugged, twisting his mouth a little in thought. “well. i think – i think he really likes her, you know? he’s not just gonna fuck her and leave her hanging around until he wants her again.”
minghao’s mouth sours, and he bites back a venomous remark. that’s what his relationship with you was like, wasn’t it? he has no place to try and insert himself between you and soonyoung’s blossoming relationship.
“you know how soonyoung is, though,” minghao says, despite himself. he folds his arms in front of him, drumming his fingers against his bare skin. he sees the little flower tattoo on his ring finger, the one he got after you spent an evening at his apartment drawing flowers into your lisa frank notebook with glitter pens. “he’s flighty. he’s never stayed with a chick longer than a month. what if he breaks her heart?”
josh hums. “i can’t keep her locked away in the house forever, hao. she’s grown. she can make her own decisions. and if that is soonyoung, the same soonyoung who refuses to drive without everyone wearing seatbelts and insists on someone holding his hand as he gets a tattoo, then i’m fine with that.”
minghao huffs. he walks away from josh, knowing that josh is right. you are grown and can make your own decisions. for a year and a half, that was minghao. you chose to go to his apartment, chose to get on your knees and offer your mouth. you chose to lay by his side, fingers gently tracing the vine tattoo that climbed up his left arm as minghao murmured about the future. for a year and a half you chose minghao, until he took that choice away from you.
and now you were sitting at soonyoung’s side on an old, musty couch, laughing at some stupid joke.
minghao grabbed his bass off of its stand, bringing the strap up around his neck. his fingers find the strings naturally, absentmindedly plucking out the beginning of u2’s “one”. on the body of his bass, down towards the bridge, is a strawberry shortcake sticker that you had gingerly pressed onto his instrument.
josh joins minghao, calling back to soonyoung. jihoon and vernon come through the door leading to the kitchen, each of them holding a jolt cola.
“finally,” minghao sighs, glaring at the two other men. “come on. practice started ten minutes ago.”
soonyoung stands from the couch, still talking to you. you’re looking up at him with a smile, eyes sparkling.
“kwon soonyoung!” minghao snaps. he stops playing the bass, narrowing his eyes at soonyoung. “come on! just because you have all day doesn’t mean the rest of us do. why don’t you fucking respect the rest of us and stop flirting and get the fuck over here.”
josh sucks in a breath next to minghao but doesn’t say anything. soonyoung gives you a small wave, and then he’s jogging over. he glances at minghao, murmuring a small apology.
minghao doesn’t care. he’s watching you. you lean forward, elbows on your knees, tilting your head and eyes on minghao. your sweater – that overly large, horrible sweater – is loose at the collar, and as you lean forward the hole widens and gapes and falls, giving minghao a view of the valley between your tits and the top of your black silk bra, and all that skin above it.
and he remembers. minghao remembers what it was like to press his mouth to your skin, to hold your tits in his hands and feel their weight and warmth. he remembers being between your warm thighs, remembers how soft your body was and how he always seemed to sink into it.
you stand. “well, i’ll leave you guys alone so you can practice.”
minghao watches as you leave, the hem of your sweater covering your ass. he remembers you walking from his bed wearing an overly large nirvana shirt, how the hem tapped against your ass as you walked away and to the kitchen.
and here’s the thing: minghao isn’t stupid.
he broke things off with you. he isn’t with you anymore, doesn’t have the privilege of getting horny and jealous of you. he doesn’t get to act on his frustrations when he sees you taunting him, when he sees you getting your petty revenge for breaking up with you. you’re stirring something up with soonyoung, and he doesn’t get to veto that, doesn’t get to act as if he has any say in your life.
after all, he’s the one that made sure he wouldn’t. he’s the one that made sure to draw the line between the two of you.
practice starts, and minghao is somewhere else entirely. he gets the order of the songs mixed up, starts playing basket case before live forever. he loses all of his picks and has to borrow from vernon, and his mind keeps slipping back to you.
an hour passes like that, with minghao not really there. he’s between your thighs, face pressed against your pussy; he’s in your arms, heels digging into his back as you urge him to go deeper. he’s everywhere but there, everywhere with you.
eventually minghao loses another pick, and josh sighs from the front. he goes over to the speaker and dials it off, frowning at everyone. “i’m thinking we should take a break. we’re not doing our best, and everyone seems really scattered right now. let’s break for supper and come back and really put work in.”
the others nod, turning off their instruments or, in jihoon’s case, setting down his drumsticks. “we need to get focused,” jihoon agrees, serious. “we’re not going to keep maintaining gigs if we’re fucking around like this. we need to be serious about what we’re doing. we need to be bringing our everything to every practice. none of this bullshit.”
josh nods, setting his guitar back in its case. his case, just like minghao’s, is decorated with stickers you’ve slapped on. besides strawberry shortcake there’s lisa frank, rugrats, pokemon. there’s squiggly lines and smiley faces and flowers, all the signs pointing to you.
“honestly,” joshua says, voice grave, “if, by some fucking miracle, the black rose calls back and says they want us to perform for them, i’ll have to turn them down.”
soonyoung protests, brow furrowed. “come on! this is just one practice we’ve fucked up. it’s not like we’re always fucking around. let’s just take a break, clear our heads, and come back at it. this isn’t something that needs to be repeated or stressed over.”
“i’m thinking about a triple decker pizza,” vernon says, prompted by no one. josh rolls his eyes, grinning, and the band begins to split into groups for food.
“where you wanna go?” soonyoung asks minghao. he’s blinking innocently at minghao, completely ignorant of the absolute sin going through his mind. he doesn’t know that minghao thought about punching him only an hour ago, doesn’t know he’s been fantasizing about the way your thighs felt under his fingertips while fumbling his fingers over the bass strings.
“i think i’ll just run home and grab something,” minghao lies, setting his guitar on its stand. soonyoung pouts, nodding.
minghao lingers behind the others, lying to josh about misplacing his keys and promising to lock the house behind him. you were doing your homework, josh said, and he didn’t want you to be disturbed.
minghao waits until soonyoung, whom always seems to be the last one to leave, pulls out of the driveway with vernon jamming out in the passenger seat beside him, and then he’s moving.
he knows the way up to your bedroom as if it was his own. he goes up the carpeted stairs, past the various pictures of you in flouncy dresses and huge bows as babies, past the awkward family photo with you and josh pressed shoulder-to-shoulder, wearing matching sweater vests. he flips on the mickey mouse lightswitch at the top of the staircase, and then he’s opening your bedroom door.
your room is your sanctuary. the bedroom walls are painted a soft lilac from your childhood, covered in posters from spice girls to nirvana and aerosmith. there’s beanie babies hanging over your mirror, a troll doll on your dresser. your room is littered with comics and cd cases, all of your cds stacked in small piles around the stereo. you’ve got backstreet boys playing from your stereo, and minghao doesn’t even have it in him to make a comment about it.
meanwhile, you –
you are on your bed. you’re still wearing that sweater, but that’s all. your blankets are on the floor, pillow stuffed underneath your hips. your entire lower half is bare, one leg extended out and the other bent. the room has the faint, barely-there smell of cunt, and it’s more intoxicating than any drug.
you meet minghao’s eyes sheepishly, hands smoothing down your thighs. “missed you,” is all you say, fingers slowly dragging across your thighs and towards your center.
minghao is across the room in record time, pulling off his bomber jacket and throwing it to the ground. “we don’t have a lot of time,” he says, hands pulling up the hem of his shirt to zip down his pants. “the others just went to eat.”
“then you better hurry,” you say, eyes sparkling. you don’t make any comments about him stumbling back into your bed after breaking everything off. instead you spread out your legs, your hands making quick work of your sweater and bra, and minghao falls onto your bed.
“i’ve prepared,” you say as he settles between your thighs. he can’t help but run his hands over your skin, treasuring the feel of your skin beneath his. this was his favorite place on earth, he realizes; between your thighs, skin to skin.
“you’ve prepared?” he echos, raising a brow. you nod, biting down on your lip. “been waiting for me, is that it?”
“you or soonyoung,” you say, grinning at him.
minghao scowls at you, pinching your skin between his fingertips. “shut up,” he commands you. “don’t wanna hear you say his name ever again.”
you laugh at him, reaching out. you lace your fingers around his neck, bringing his face down to yours. you press a quick, close-lipped kiss to his mouth. “sorry,” you say, voice still light and giggly. “couldn’t help it.”
minghao growls, and then he’s lacing his hands in your hair and smashing his mouth back to yours. he pries open your mouth with his tongue, delving in and reclaiming that familiar space. he can’t believe he’s gone over a week without kissing you – it’s a sin, he’s sure, to not kiss you and have you whimpering underneath his touch. it’s a greater sin to not kiss you than it is to be kissing his friend’s little sister, surely.
he sucks at your bottom lip, moving his hands down your thighs. they’re sticky on the inside, no doubt from when you prepared yourself earlier. when he moves his hand deeper between your thighs it’s wetter, warmer, stickier, and he thinks that this is a heaven of it’s own. you sigh against his mouth, and then he’s ducking his head and moving his body, mouth slipping from yours and skimming down over your chin and along your throat.
you whine, and he can’t help but chuckle against your skin. he suckles at your throat. you open beneath him so wonderfully, it’s a wonder he was ever able to separate from you at all.
minghao moves down your body, kissing each and every spot he missed. the top of the valley between your tits, the skin of your shoulder. he mouths at your nipples, slipping his hand up between your legs so his fingers brush at your pussy lips.
you shiver beneath him. he laps at one of your nipples with his tongue, fingers dipping and sliding your cunt. he doesn’t apply any real pressure,  just content with teasing you and hearing those whines and moans he missed.
“hao,” you groan out, fingers moving to his hair. you tangle your fingers in his locks, pulling softly. “hao –”
he shushes you, and then his fingers are slipping into your cunt. you moan out, head tipping back. he slips two into your hole, biting down at his lip as your pussy contracts around him, trying to suck his fingers in further, desperate for his touch.
your cunt is hot around his fingers. it’s not as tight as it would have been if you hadn’t prepared, and it’s easy for him to slide his two fingers down to the base, brushing his fingertips against your core.
“fuck,” he sighs, pressing his face against your stomach. he breathes in, inhaling your scent. you’re so wonderful. you smell wonderful, feel wonderful. he wants to devour you; he can’t imagine why he ever left you.
he slides his fingers from your cunt, drawing a high whine from your lips. minghao clicks his tongue at you, and then he’s pushing three fingers in. you shudder, cunt clenching so tight around his digits that he can’t move.
“easy, baby,” he mumbles, his free hand going to your leg. minghao pulls your leg over his shoulder, nose pressing against your thigh. he can feel your skin against his eyelash as his breathes you in here, too. “gotta be easy and good for me.”
you let out a long breath, eyes sliding shut. your cunt loosens around his fingers, and as a reward minghao moves down further between your legs. he presses his face to your cunt, the smell of your pussy surrounding him.
he knows he should hurry. he knows his band will be back soon. but that doesn’t stop minghao from running his tongue along your clit, doesn’t stop him from tasting this part of you. he missed it so much – missed your cunt, how it smelled and felt and tasted.
your thighs clench around his head, but he continues. minghao scissors his fingers in you, not focused on stretching you but instead making you feel good. he laps at your lit in broad strokes, and then he’s sucking at your little bean, a loud squeal escaping your lips.
“quiet!” he hisses, though he feels his lips twitching up at the corner. he does it again and again between licks of his tongue, feeling your body shake beneath his and little sounds of ecstasy escape your lips.
“hao!” you whine out, fingers digging slightly into his scalp. “gotta – gotta hurry, josh –”
you couldn’t manage a full sentence, high moans and squeals escaping your mouth and interrupting your words. but minghao understood all the same, and he was pressing one last kiss to your pussy before he withdrew.
he wiped his hand off on the sheets, and then he was pushing his pants and boxers down to his knees. he fisted his shirt with one hand, raising it and keep it away from your soaking cunt as he moved close.
you plant your feet on the bed, tilting your hips up for him. you’re so good, he thinks. you’re perfect. and you’re his.
minghao pressed the head of his cock against your cunt, watching as your entire body seemed to freeze in anticipation. you were so ready for him, so eager. you were biting down at your lip, eyes large and watching, and minghao couldn’t even pretend he wasn’t feeling the same way.
he crowded down over you, releasing his shirt and moving his hand to cup your face. minghao rolled his tongue into your mouth, the noises of your wet mouths meeting making his cock throb with anger.
he fucked into your cunt, a deep groan escaping you. your pussy was tight, despite preparation, but warm and wet and minghao slowly slid deeper and deeper. your body took his cock easily, as it always had, and he knew that the two of you were meant for each other.
“hao,” you moan out, lashes fluttering. you speak against his mouth, breath hot. “feels good, hao. want it. missed you so much, hao.”
“i know, baby,” he mumbles, hand sinking into your hair. he slides until his cock is buried as far as it can go within you, your pussy clamping down on his cock. he wanted to move, wanted to immediately begin fucking you. instead he held back, hand twisting in your hair. “i missed you too.”
you bite at your lip, and then you’re tightening your legs around his waist. minghao takes this as permission, and he begins drawing his hips back. the slide of his dick against your walls feels so good, feels perfect, all slick warmth that makes his toes curl and eyes flutter.
he can’t believe he left you. he can’t believe he ended this. he’s so fucking stupid –
minghao fucks back into your cunt, and it feels like coming home. he begins setting a slow, deep rhythm that makes you arch up around him, mouth wide and eyes pinched shut. he just looks at you, takes in the shape of your mouth and your lashes, just looks and adores you.
his hand moves from your hair to your ear, and he traces the shell of your ear as he grinds into you. he follows the curve, adoring. he thumbs at your earlobe, just touching you, when he touches that pearl earring.
and minghao thinks back. he thinks back to how you had tucked your hair behind your ear for soonyoung, how you had acted all cute and coy for him. how you had taunted minghao.
his hips slow to a stop, and you whine for him. for a moment he just focuses on your earrings, staring.
“you’re such a bad girl,” he growls out, and then he’s slamming back into your pussy, the sound of skin hitting skin loud. you cry out, startled, and then he’s setting a punishing, brutal pace.
“you’re so bad,” he hisses, hand moving down to your throat. he doesn’t choke you, just places his hand against your throat. “teasing me like that with soonyoung. so fucking bad. wanted me to get jealous, didn’t you?”
you whimper, eyes rolling back as he fucks you. each thrust into your cunt is wet and loud, and he fucks you knowing that you’ll feel the ache hours later.
“wanted me jealous of kwon soonyoung,” minghao murmurs, and he’s ducking his head to bite at your neck. you cry out, cunt tightening around his dick. he bites and licks and sucks, marking your neck as his.
because you are his. he was a fool to think otherwise. you’re his and he’s yours, and he’ll show kwon soonyoung.
minghao pulls out – you whine – and he flips you around. minghao moves to his knees, pulling you up and back so you’re on all fours. he enters you with a rough thrust, and then he’s resuming his hard pace, chasing out each sting of skin slapping skin, seeking that pain-pleasure.
“you’re mine,” he says, hands tight around your hips. he watches your ass jiggle with each thrust, some animalistic urge to take coming over him. “you’re mine, angel. fucking mine and no one else’s. got it?”
you nod against your pillows, arching your back and pushing back to him. you fuck back onto him, meeting each thrust, and minghao can’t help but feel satisfied.
as if you’d ever do this for kwon soonyoung. as if you’d ever let him fuck you like this, as if you’d ever give yourself over to kwon soonyoung as eagerly as you do minghao.
“you gotta cum,” minghao commands, slapping at your ass. you cry out, fingers twisting in the sheets. “gotta cum around my cock, baby. milk me.”
he reaches down, grabbing his shirt and pushing it up out of the way. his fingers slip into your cunt, fluttering around where the two of you are connected to grind down on the gummy area surrounding your clit. you whine, and only a couple of thrusts later you’re tightening around his dick.
“that’s it,” minghao says, biting down on his lip. “gush around my dick, angel. come on, cum for me.”
your moans rise in pitch as you cum, and he fucks you through it. he fucks into your pussy as it quivers, fluttering around his dick. once you’re finished, whining from oversensitivity, minghao pulls out of your pussy – your warm, tight, delightful pussy – and fucks into his hand until he’s shooting out warm stripes of cum, painting your back white. he feels fuckin amazing, adrenaline and lust and something he can’t quite name rushing through his veins.
he pants, watching as his cum taints your skin. you’re so beautiful like this, stained with him. he says as much, rubbing his hand over your ass and back.
a car honks from the street. minghao curses, and then he’s flinging himself off of the bed. he grabs his bomber jacket, hesitates, and then quickly wipes himself down.
“i’ll wash it,” you promise, and he ducks down to press a hot, open-mouthed kiss to your mouth.
“good girl,” he murmurs, moving to press a kiss to your temple. “such a good girl for me.”
he darts for the bathroom after leaving your bedroom, flicking on the goofy lightswitch. he looks in the mirror. he looks – well, he looks like he just spent the last half hour fucking someone.
but not just anyone, he thinks, grabbing his shirt and flapping it to try and get some fresh air against his skin. he spent the last half hour fucking you.
vernon looks at him weirdly as he hands minghao a few slices of pizza. “been busy?”
minghao shrugs, pressing his hair back from his face. “went jogging a bit to try and clear my mind of all it’s shit. need to bring everything to practice.”
vernon looks like he doesn’t believe minghao, but vernon, also, doesn’t care. so minghao watches as his friend grabs a soda from the fridge. “cool,” is all he says, and then vernon begins slurping at his drink.
soonyoung enters the room with his own pizza, setting it on the counter. “i made sure to get some you like,” he says to minghao.
minghao feels, slightly, like he should feel guilty towards soonyoung. soonyoung, after all, has a crush on you. and minghao just fucked soonyoung’s crush.
then again, minghao thinks, it’s soonyoung’s fault for getting a crush on you when you spend every other day getting your brains fucked out by minghao.
joshua enters his house with a large grin, holding a plastic cup in one hand. “you’ll never fucking guess who called.”
“president clinton,” soonyoung says, raising a slice of pepperoni pizza to his mouth. “wait. better yet. monica lewinsky.”
“no,” josh says, “cut it out. i’m talking about the fucking black rose club! they called! and they want us for next thursday!”
“well,” minghao says, a grin taking over his face. “it isn’t a friday or saturday performance, so the club won’t be too busy.”
“but it gets our name out there,” josh agreed, clapping vernon on the back. he looks so sincerely happy, lip ring glinting in the artificial light of the kitchen. “we’re getting on the map.”
minghao raises vernon’s soda in salute towards josh before drinking it and handing it back to vernon. “things are looking up,” minghao says.
minghao isn’t stupid. he knows they’ll need to work their asses off for the next week in preparation of playing at the club. he knows this is only one step on the mountain of success, only one step towards their goal line. he knows he’ll need to talk to you, sincerely. he knows he’ll need to apologize, knows he needs to explain everything.
yes; minghao isn’t stupid.
but, he thinks, watching as you come down the stairs, fresh from a shower, he is awfully lucky.

FR one of the most fucked up things I’ve ever written. I hope it was worth it. ENJOY EVERYONE and even tho it came out late HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Ever since the murders over a week ago, everyone in town has been on edge. All including the individuals most closely involved.
You had lost three core members of your eight.
Joshua, someone you’ve known since grade school who was sliced open from the back before being stabbed 8 times to the point of excessive bleeding. He had just gone out to walk his dog, the poor creature being the only reason they found his body at all. If not for the dog’s bloody paws, and the trail of blood they left behind finding help, Joshua’s cadaver would’ve lost deep in the woods.
And then Chan, your long-time boyfriend, was stabbed fifteen times in the chest. His face was so disfigured from obvious violence and what looked to be burn scars, that he was practically unrecognizable if not for the fact he died in his own home. Police are still looking for his severed arms and legs to this day with no luck.
And finally, Seungkwan, who hadn’t died but lost to the paranoia festering in his blood like a disease. That caused him to take the train to the furthest destination possible to attempt to escape death if at all possible, leaving the rest of you with only the reassuring texts he left in his wake.
All that was left was you, Seokmin, Seungcheol, Minghao, and Wonwoo; the core five.
“Okay, absolutely no one is leaving this house for the time being. Until the psycho is caught behind bars, dead, or whatever the fuck! We’re safe here.”
Seungcheol, the eldest, did just as expected: contacted the rest of you into a personal prison. Luckily, he was loaded. The prison happened to be six thousand square feet of space with countless rooms, amenities, and a housekeeper to boot. From the looks of it, it’s paradise, but it’s definitely a prison.
“Holy shit, you have an indoor basketball court?”
A prison with an indoor basketball court. And a pool apparently.
Seokmin wasted no time to enjoy these features, breaking out of his clothes and cannonballing in his underwear. If you knew any better, Seokmin didn’t even look like he went through any trauma at all. It looked like every other day for him.
“There's a murderer and you’re doing butterfly strokes?” You asked, baffled.
The golden man scoffed, reaching the edge of the pool and resting against it with his forearms. “What am I gonna do? Wallow, crying to my mom, worrying about dying, and not taking advantage of this gorgeous mansion we’re staying in?”
“Thank you, Seokmin,” Seungcheol grinned.
Seokmin winked back at him, “Of course, daddy.”
“How are you both so unserious about all this?”
Wonwoo left a kind hand against your shoulder, looking back at you with warm eyes and a small smile. “They’re grieving. Just in their own way.”
You sighed, crossing your arms. “They’re being ridiculous. We shouldn’t be here. We need to be at the police station or something.”
“You were there when I got the call. The creepy voice said no police or you all die. Remember?”
You shuddered, hands over your sides to relieve your chilled skin. “Of course I do, but we’re sitting ducks here. This isn’t any better. We need protection.”
It was Seungcheol’s turn to scoff then. He strutted in front of you, flaunting his wing span before flexing his arms and then crossing them over his chest. “Well, you have me.”
“And me,” Seokmin joined. “Pure muscle right here.”
“Maybe pure laughing gas, not sure about muscle. We’re actually living in a horror movie right now and you’re all making jokes.”
“Hey,” Wonwoo stroked your head as his soothingly deep voice serenaded you, “Don’t say that. We’ll make it out of here.”
His arms come around you, forearms pressed against your collarbones, and his chin crooked over your shoulder. “You have me too. I would run through that knife before it could get to you.”
You genuinely smile for the first time being there, your hand stroking over his embrace. Wonwoo delicately kissed the temple of your forehead, reminding you what it was like to be constantly adored.
You were grateful for what he had become in your life. Wonwoo had kept you company in your time of need. In the absence of Chan. He had come to your house with whatever he thought you might need, lent you his shoulder that you could cry on, lent his ears so that he could listen, lent his body that you could heal. In more ways than one.
“You’re right. You are.” You turned to face him, wrapping your arms around his body and meeting his eyes framed in specs of hard plastic. “You’re the first person I can sacrifice if we face them head to head.”
He mused at you. “Ooh, now look who’s pulling jokes.”
“Who said I was joking?”
“You two are disgustingly cute,” Minghao commented coming through the back door. “Horror movie rules: they get killed while having sex.”
You punched the new face right in the arm, watching him scurry away to your other friends laughing.
“Not funny, Hao.”
Minghao sneers at you, a jester smile still on his face. “Ease up, princess. Wonwoo, watch your girl.”
“Only because she’s so pretty to look at,” he briefly grinned down at you before directing his attention to Minghao sternly, “but come on. We’re all a little psyched right now. Cool it with the murder talk. Alright?”
Wonwoo pulled you aside into the dining area, ignoring the careless laughter outside. His thumb stroked against your knuckles, lips pressing sweetly against your cheeks. His grin sunk deeper in his cheeks the further he made it past your jaw and then down your neck. He felt your throat vibrate against his lips. “Wonwoo…”
“I can’t have all these guys get you heated like this. That’s my job,” he teased with a rasp.
You slightly pushed him off, your arms swung over his shoulders. “You’re so ridiculous right now.”
“Anything to put that smile on your face.”
His lips reconnected with your neck, nipping at your skin. His humming sent tingles down your spine, and he took your body to press you against the side of the counter. Your hands grasped his baggy shirt, lip close to his ear, fanning your breath against his face. You smiled like a girl in love. Obsessed.  “Daddy…”
“I love it when you call me that,” he mumbled, just as love-struck, if not more. Your giggles brought out the pink on Wonwoo’s ears and cheeks while tightening the groin of his pants. You noticed immediately, cupping it in your palm, and running your finger along the seam. Your eyes skimmed over his taken expression, leaning your full weight into him. “I know there’s something else you really love.”
“Do you now?”
You nodded, your bottom lip caught between your teeth. “But do you really want to do it here? Risk getting caught?”
He leaned into your touch, allowing your fingers to take apart his pants. “Try new things right? Like you always say. Plus you’re scared. Gonna turn that fear into pleasure. Make you feel good, just what my baby deserves.”
“You're so good to me, Daddy,” you moaned.
His hand finds the hem of your shorts, pulling them down to expose yourself to the cold air. He fingered through your panties and slid two digits through your folds. He felt your breath hitch as he squeezed your clit, eliciting your soft whines. “You’re so wet down there, baby.”
“Just waiting for daddy to fuck me where anyone can find us and watch.”
Wonwoo eagerly pulled down his pants, kicking them and yours aside, but not without pocketing your underwear. He lifted you up slightly from the ground, his exposed cock hitting at your hip. “Look what you do to me.”
Your throat went dry at the sight of him, hand aching to wrap your hand around his girth and have him shoved inside you.
He didn’t let you wait a second long, and pushed in slowly inch by inch, burying himself in your pussy until he was nearly balls deep. You grasped his shoulder in a gasp, savoring the fire burning in your stomach. The girth of his cock stretched your molten walls, allowing them to melt all around his cock as he spread your legs. You writhe in his embrace, your limbs closing around his lean and toned build, already blissful from the few seconds of him being inside you.
Wonwoo’s words kissed your lips, flushed your skin, and left a permanent smile on your face. It swelled pride in his chest, better than any physical trophy would have. His hips slowly rolled against yours, letting you adjust to his size. He massaged the flesh of your side through his fingers, mentally reassuring himself you were his and his alone, but his names on your lips became more than proof.
Your hips buckled towards him in heat, matching his pace before the carnal side of him decided to fuck you like an animal. His cock then plunged sharply inside you, and then again, a whimper coming out of your lips. Your hips stuttered the harder he pounded, arching your back, you felt his hand above your ass, pushing you against him.
“Daddy…”
He lost control when it came to you, addicted—religious—the second your body came in contact with his. He loved how your fingers ran through his hair, not caring how his glasses fell off his face in the process. With drool out of the corner of his lips, he could feel the blood rush up to the surface of your skin, making him feel warm at home inside you. Throbbing, he only got harder feeling how perfectly snug you were, pricking his clammy skin with goosebumps as he bottomed out.
“You’re sopping, precious,” he murmured with a sly grin.
He had you begging, flustered, and beautiful. Your hand clasped his face as your other arm looped around his neck, swallowing his lips, anxious and thirsty for his breath. You craved every part of him viscerally. “Cum in me, daddy. Please…”
He scoffed, lips ghosting over yours. “Will you take every bit of daddy’s cum, hmm? Hold my cum inside you.”
You nodded gingerly. “Yes, yes. I promise, daddy. Give it to me please, I want you to spill your cum inside me and make me yours…”
“Hold on to me.”
You obliged, met with the hot stream of his climax, yours quick to follow. He embraced your sides, devouring your lips and muffling your whines. His loads pumped into you in erratic thrusts, fucking his cum back into you and making sure you drained him of every ounce. His fingers dug into your flesh, feeling you just come apart for him, undoing the tension that festered earlier.
But that tension was needed. It was necessary to survive. Everyone let themselves forget the current predicament, basking in the glow of the sunset until dinner time arrived. Despite the housekeeper that supposedly exists, she hadn’t been around since all of you stepped foot in the house, like a ghost presence. Seungcheol scrambled to find her—reminding you of his peculiar obsession with the woman—as he wondered when dinner would be ready since a rise in temperature or a savory scent couldn’t be found in the kitchen.
“That’s strange. She’d be finished with a whole chicken by now,” the homeowner commented, noticeably picking his nails.
“Aww,” Seokmin groaned, “Well, is there anything else to eat?”
“I mean…you can look around.”
You narrowed your eyes at him in disbelief. “This is your house. You don’t know what you have in your own house?”
“You try navigating a five-story home with countless cabinets!”
“Buy a smaller house, you prick!”
“Guys!” Minghao chimed in. “Breathe in…and out. We’ll just find food. Seungcheol, your maid, your house, your search. She’s probably fine.”
Your hands slammed against those pristine marble counters. “We are NOT splitting up right now. This is what the killer wants. She’s probably already dead and we’re fucked.”
Wonwoo came to your side, laying a cool calm over your shoulder, and rubbed your sides. You let yourself melt in his touch, his sweet voice soothing you effectively.
Seokmin sat up from his stool, “Okay, okay. I will help Seungcheol and you guys stick together.”
“That’s still splitting up!”
“Better than alone.” Seungcheol rebutted. “You guys stay.”
Despite your protests, they went on their search. Your head banged against Wonwoo’s chest, muttering in anguish about how everything was going wrong and that it’d only get worse. Meanwhile, Minghao seemed to regain some of that tension but masked the fear with the bright light of his phone, scrolling through TikTok. You didn’t know what was more annoying, sensation of imminent death possibly behind any door, or the same five songs replaying on Minghao’s feed.
After 15 minutes when they were nowhere to be seen, your patience had run thin. You picked yourself up from Wonwoo’s lap and dusted yourself off. “Fuck this. We’re finding them.”
You felt his hand on your shoulder, a concerned glow in his gaze. “Babe, hey. They’ve got it. Trust them.”
“Wonwoo, you know I can’t do that. Let’s just find them, hmm? Together?”
“Not a bad idea,” Minghao agreed. “Better in groups right? We go together, eliminate us as any potential suspects.”
Your boyfriend sighed, collected your hand, and laced his fingers through yours. “Fine.”
You were all joined together by the hip, making sure you were each other's sights. Through the wider than wingspan hallways, past the ridiculously expensive sculptures, you kept your eyes out for your estranged friends. Silence couldn’t have been more loud in these cavernous spaces, only hearing the gut feelings in your stomachs that’s churned in trepidation. Every step taken was the group closing in on the killer.
Fortitude meant nothing if the danger was already inside.
Before turning around the corner, Minghao—reluctant to lead the group—crashed into a human-sized obstacle, causing the stumble of your entire party. You all faced a wide-eyed Seungcheol with the missing young housekeeper walking hand in hand with him. Suspicious, but besides the point.
“Holy shit, we said we’d come back!”
“It’s been 20 minutes, Cheol! You guys could’ve been dead for all we know.” You retorted.
“Wait, where’s Seokmin?” Wonwoo asked, noticing he didn’t see him nearby.
“He went ahead. He needed to piss or something and meet up later.”
“You idiot.” Your eyes burned a frustrated rage. “I said don't split up. DON’T SPLIT UP! That’s the number one rule of horror movies. You’re going get us fucking killed. He could be the murderer for all we know.”
Seungcheol scoffed, shaking his head. “Seokmin? No way. He’s the last person to even think to do that.”
“Well, do you see him? No! Probably he’s off someone being Ghostface reject with his stupid little voice modulator and cheap party city costume.”
“I told you—“ Before he could finish, his phone went off in the nick of time. When he pulled it out to saw Seokmin’s caller ID on display and the owner of the device wouldn’t help but smile. “See the bastard is even calling.”
He picked up and put him on speaker, eyeing you cheekily, amped to prove you wrong. “Seok, you little shit. How long does it take to piss, huh? Just say you wanted to take a dump.”
“Oh yeah, I took the shittiest, stinkiest, fattest dump. You could probably smell all the way from the other end of the hall.”
Instead of Seokmin on the other line, all of you were met with the eerie voice that had called you multiple times before. The voice that felt like spiders crawling up your legs. The voice that had you second guess whether you locked the front and the back door. The voice whose owner had killed countless people already.
Seungcheol held the phone in a vice grip swallowing, fear stilling in his unsteady eyes. “You—Where the fuck is Seokmin, you son of a bitch?”
The morphed voice on the other end laughed, sounding bone chilling as nails against a blackboard. “What’s to say? Why don’t we play a little game to find out?”
“Mother fu—“You grabbed the phone from Seungcheol to answer in his place, cutting the older man off. “Why go through with this?”
“Why, I just want to help you find your beloved friend. All out of the kindness of my heart.”
“If it was all kindness, you could tell us where he is.”
“Where’s the fun in that?”
“Psycho,” Minghao muttered under his breath, eyes wide in shock and fear, as if registering the idea of death for the first time.
“And if we refuse?” Wonwoo interjected.
“Seokmin dies, rock for brains,” Seungcheol gritted.
“Ding, ding, ding. Or should I say, chop, chop, chop, since that’s what'll happen if you get any of my questions wrong.”
You scoffed, coming down the stairs with your friends to follow. “Have at it then, you freak.”
“Hey, hey, play nice. Maybe I’ll get too excited and decide to cut him up early.”
Seungcheol glared at you briefly before taking back the phone, storming down the stairs, and reaching the ground floor. “Ask away, as long as Seokmin is safe.”
“First an easy one. What’s your favorite scary movie, Seungcheol?”
His feet stopped at the end of the couch in his living room, stammering to answer. “What kind of fucking question—uh, The Ring?”
“Don’t lie to your friends, Seungcheol. You know that’s not the answer, that’s just what you say to anyone that asks. Say the real answer.”
“That’s the movie though!” he started to shout, visibly shaking.
“Just say it, Cheol!” Minghao pushed.
“Stop playing around Choi Seungcheol! Just say it,” You joined.
“Fine!” He faced the friends, evidently swallowing his pride as he choked up on his answer. “I never watched a goddamn scary movie! Is that what you want to hear? I get panic attacks every time I hear one in the background, why do you I’m always going off smoking when you guys put one on,” he confessed through his tears.
“Congratulations. Your first right answer. Now was that so hard? Pussy boy?”
“Fuck you,” Seungcheol sputtered, tossing the phone back to you.
“Next question. ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,’ Leatherface is known for wearing a mask when it was in fact several. How many and what were they in the original movie?”
“Who the fuck would know an answer like that?” Minghao croaked in disbelief.
“Three. A ‘Killing Mask’, an ‘Old Lady Mask’ and a ‘Pretty Woman Mask.’” Wonwoo calmly answers, garnering horrified looks all around. “I wanted to be a filmmaker, remember?”
“Correct. Next question. What Was Freddy Krueger's serial killer nickname before he died?”
“It’s on the tip of my tongue,” you said slightly panicked, “Wonwoo?”
“The Springwood slasher.”
“Wow, Another amazingly correct answer. Hold on to that one, Y/n. He’s a keeper. He’s smart and fucks your brains out to the point of you screaming bloody murder? What a catch.”
You didn’t respond, impatience seething on the tip of your tongue, “Just tell us where this is all going.”
“Patience, sweetheart. Last question. What exact kind of knife does Ghostface use in the Stab movies? Here’s a hint: it’s the same one I’m holding in my hand against Seokmin’s throat. (Help me please...)”
“S-Seok.” Seungcheol gasped.
Seokmin’s voice could barely be heard on the other end, weak and afraid, only staggering breaths audible.
“Wonwoo, please,” Seungcheol begged, tears falling past his neck. “He’s our best friend.”
Wonwoo swallowed, gears visibly creaking in his head, “I know he uses a hunting knife, b-but—“
“Oh…” the voice cooed, “Well, that’s just not enough, is it? Seokminnie, say goodbye to your friends (Please, no…).”
“Seokmin!”
“Wait!” You barged, clutching the phone to the point of it almost bending. “A modified Buck 120. I remember now. It’s coming back to me. Now, let Seokmin go!”
The line went dead and in turn, light cast in the evening darkness of the poolside. All your eyes shot back at the change of light, startled at the sight in front of them. Seokmin was seated in a chair, bruises against his sides, bleeding from the splices on his forearms, and duct tape over his mouth. Yet the most frightening part was his closed eyes.
“Seokmin!”
You all rushed towards him, swinging the porch door in a panic. Seungcheol tried slapping him awake, pleading he’d be alive. “Seokmin please, please, wake up…
The poor victim's eyes start to flicker open, mumbling through the adhesive over his lips.
“Buddy,” Seungcheol ripped the duct tape clean off him, his ear coming up to his friend’s lips. “Speak to me…”
Seokmin’s voice came out in croaks, hardly incoherently, all except, “Be…hind…”
Minghao spat up blood, doubled over as Ghostface was revealed right behind him, and fell right into the pool. You and the housekeeper both let out a blood-curdling scream. The masked intruder wiped off the blood using his black rope, anticipating a lunge towards their next victim.
“Run,” Wonwoo breathed out.
He took your hand and ran with it. Taking a second to look back, you see Seungcheol and the housekeeper try to escape similarly before she was tugged right back towards the killer and she was stabbed right in front of him five times, each one faster than the last, having the poor Seungcheol paralyzed and fallen on his knees. The sounds of suffering were loud enough to hear throughout the neighborhood.
Wonwoo dragged you back upstairs, his survival instinct telling him to seek haven high and far up the house.
“You left them there to die,” You proclaimed.
“He said he could manage it. You’re more important.”
“You actually believe that? Ghostface snuck up on Minghao with neither of us looking!”
“We’re going to have to. Secungcheol can handle himself.”
Finally, he finds the room, closing the door behind him and pushing heavy furniture in front of it for more time to stall. “We’ll be ok for a little bit here. Let’s look for weapons.”
He started rummaging through drawers, looking for anything strap, blunt, heavy, anything worth using. He was red in the face, sweat drenching his entire body. The only thing running through his mind was keeping you, the most important person in his life, safe.
“Wonwoo, I don’t know if we’re going to find anything. Fuck. I’m so scared right now.”
He recognized the panic in your eyes, the bounce in your step, and the quiver in your voice. “Hey, hey, baby. Look at me.” He grasped your face in his hands, wiping your tears away with his thumb.
“I’m here, hmm.” He kissed your closed eyes. “You’re alright.”
Then your tempered cheeks. “We’ll get through this.”
The tip of your nose. “I love you like hell.”
Finally your trembling lips. “I’ll keep you alive.”
“Promise?” You managed to breathe out.
“Scouts honor.”
The banging resonated from outside the locked door, only getting louder and closer every passing second as if teasing you to death. You shook in Wonwoo’s embrace, burying your face in his chest. “I don’t want to die here, baby.”
“You won’t. Not with me.” One arm wrapped around your body, and another had his fingers locked around the base of a lamp, tugging it from the outlet. Pitch darkness joined you, only having to rely on the dim-lit sky through the peek of the windows.
Whomever on the other side cracked through the wood of the door, breaking it piece by piece as it fell to the ground, knocking over the dresser that blocked
“Shit, shit, shit.” Wonwoo pushed you behind him.
Finally, your barrier came down with a final kick, rendering it useless. Wonwoo let out a battle cry, charging at them with the lamp above his head. He swung his weapon while Ghostface swung theirs, both missing simultaneously. Gritting his teeth, Wonwoo pulled forward, aiming for the head.
They crash against the wall in the process, but not without mutilating the midsection of Wonwoo’s stomach. The visually impaired man fell back to the ground, groaning in agony as he clutched his stomach, while blood trickled through his fingers. “Mother fucker...”
Wonwoo’s vision started to fight against him with the loss of his glasses, dimming images before him, and slowly processing the murderous figure trodding before him. Wonwoo’s determination picked him right back up slowly, picking up his lamp once again, trying to take another move toward the perpetrator. And by pure luck, the lamp crashed against the crown of their head.
Ghostface stumbled back, quick to recover but visibly agitated.  Soon enough, they plunged the full length of the knife right into Wonwoo’s gut, sticking it deep and long before kicking him off of it. Wonwoo lands on the hardwood, blood gushing out of him like a public water fountain. “Fuck, fuck!”
“Wonwoo!” You come by his side, clutching at his wound desperately. “No, no, no.”
The sinister figure approached once more, hand creeping against the edge before he pulled it over and off his head. His eyes stared back at you both maniacally. His grin stretched from both ends freakishly before overtaking in deep chuckles. “Happy to see me?”
“…C-Chan?” Wonwoo managed to gasp.
“Hi, bestie.” His signature smile, once warm and inviting, reflected horrifyingly as if out of a film, one with too much bloodshed and betrayal to imagine. “Well, didn’t think you’d see me again, huh?”
“Chan, what the fuck?” You screeched.
“You’re supposed to be dead.” Wonwoo voiced panic-stricken. “What, how?”
One foot over the other, Chan carried himself with conviction, ease, and the confidence of a man who slaughtered countless amounts of people.
“You guys don't know how easy it is to fake my death. I was surprised by how incredibly stupid police officers are. Find a body that’s my height, my build, cut off their hands and arms to not get their fingerprints, singe their skin and face to the point of unrecognition, and plant them in your own home. I’m a fucking genius.”
“S-Seungkwan,” Wonwoo wept, his adam’s apple, “You actually—”
“It was beautiful. Masterful.”
“Why?” Wonwoo stammered. “Your best friend—“
“He was an imbecile. Weak. All bark and no bite. You will never understand how good it felt to stick the knife inside him and watch the blood burst off of him like a sprinkler. Like the knife going in and out of him surged power throughout my entire body. So, I kept doing it. And doing it. And doing it. And doing it. And doing it. And doing it. And doing it. AND DOING IT.”
His smile. That violating smile.
You sobbed, covering Wonwoo’s wound with your hands. “Y-you monster.”
“This was all just fun for you?” Wonwoo bared his teeth. “You get your kicks from lying, deceiving, stabbing your friends? You think you’re some Billy Loomis?”
“Of course I have fun. I had lots of fun. We had so much fucking fun.”
“We?” Wonwoo repeated.
“What the fuck do you mean we?” You asked horrified.
Chan started to chuckle to himself, chest heaving exuberantly before he stood completely still. Dreadfully still.
“Well, I'm not the one that killed Joshua, am I?”
A million guesses ran through Wonwoo’s brain. None made sense the more he thought about it. “Your Stu Macher? Seokmin…Seungcheol…?”
Your eyes turned to him fearful, before it melted into something else, something familiar. Something terrifying. “No…” your lips drew close to his ear. “Me…”
Your hands squeezed around his wound, gripping, earning his moans of anguish, screaming at you to stop, before you retrieved the knife hidden behind your boot and drove it into his shoulder. Wonwoo let out the loudest scream he could ever muster, feeling the blade sharply cut his nerve whilst pain shot into his chest. He tapped his heel incessantly on the ground, tears streaming from his eyes, looking at you in disbelief, overcome with hurt.
“And he was a good fuck too until the knife I put through his back made him scream like a little bitch.”
You pulled out the knife from him, seeing how the pain he felt in his body only complimented the suffering pooling in his heart, his mind, his soul. His lips quivered in your direction, sucking in his breath. “Y/n…Why?”
You simply shrugged. “Why does anyone kill these days? They’re bored, daddy. Same reason why things can change in the bedroom, to spice things up. The flavor of life is murder now, darling.”
“You’re killing people.”
You drove the knife one more time into his thigh, savoring his scream of agony. “And we’re more alive than we ever have been,” you said, twisting the knife before pulling it out.
You walked toward Chan, helping him pull off his robe. “And so is our sex life.”
“So, Junhui, Soonyoung…Joshua, and even Seungkwan.” Wonwoo asked, catching his breath.
“Every. single. one,” You chuckled. “Draining their cum out of like having a second puberty until life is literally drained out of their bodies. What a bunch of pussy boys. So obsessed with sex, they didn’t see the knife coming their way.”
Your hand reached for the ottoman and pushed Chan there to be seated, underdressed in the black tank top and black jeans he hid underneath with his momentarily abandoned bloody knife at his side. You unbuckled his pants single-handedly, your knife still in your other hand. “And Chan just gets so fucking hard with all the bloodshed. Like a bloodthirsty animal.”
“You just look so fucking sexy with blood on your hands,” Chan moaned, “Touch me how I like it, baby.”
“Mmh, my pleasure.” Your hand used the blood covering it as a morbid form of lube, closing around the girth of his cock to squeeze and lightly stroking it from base to tip, softly thumbing over the small slit on top.
His stomach flexed, bucking his hips in your direction as he bit down on his bottom lip, beaming like a child on Christmas. Horny for your touch, Chan couldn’t help but squirm in his seat, warning up to your touch. He was absolutely growing at a rapid pace. “Like that baby, like that.”
“That feel good, daddy? You like how the blood is covering your entire cock? Seokmin’s blood, Minghao’s blood, Seungcheol’s blood? Wonwoo’s blood?”
“Fuck. Yes.”
“You two,” Wonwoo’s shock couldn’t stagger from the scene in front of him, unable to process all this information at once.
“You’re massaging our friends into my cock so good, baby.”
“Yeah?” You traced your fingers over the details of his shaft, your nails prodding at the veins as your hand slowly picked up pace. You rolled him in your fist, letting him rut in your defiled hand as he moaned your name like an animal in heat. “I’m getting so wet watching fuck in my hand covered in blood. You’re just a sick lunatic obsessed with killing your friends and fucking my sweet pussy. I love that about you, Daddy.”
“Fuck,” he screamed, hands gripping the ottoman in restraint, brimming with passion, “Wanna mix Wonwoo’s cum you kept inside you with the blood. Sit that sweet pussy on my cock for me, lover.”
You nodded invitingly, not missing a beat. You never did replace the underwear from before, making it easy to remove your shorts and sliding him inside your warm walls, massaging his length as you rolled your hips against his. You held the knife you still had in a death grip, stabling against the reliability of Chan’s shoulders. You mumble his name pleased, arching your back as you grinded down on his lap. “Your cock feels so good covered in blood, daddy.”
“Your pussy feels even better knowing how much fun you had stabbing Wonwoo for me.”
“Of course, daddy.” You turned to the body mutilated and defenseless on the ground, grinning as Wonwoo was forced to watch. “That look good, Daddy Wonwoo?” Your ass bounced purposely in Chan’s lap, the jiggle showing off the splatter of blood left from the handjob.
Everything in Wonwoo told him to look away but he couldn’t, like a train wreck or a car crash, he couldn’t part with the mess of a situation he was witnessing. He wasn't sure what this meant for him, mentally nor physically.
“You like watching Chan fuck me, Daddy? His bloody dirty cock fucking me like you did a hour ago, fucking me like a nasty little whore.”
He hissed through his teeth, right the strange feeling surging in his pain-stricken body, “Shut…the fuck up.”
You laughed obnoxiously. “You love it. You love being a little cuck, watching other guys fuck my pussy. As if you hadn’t peeped on me and Chan fucking when he wasn’t ‘dead’.”
“It’s not true, you bitch.” The twitch in his trousers told him otherwise.
“You’re such a liar a dirty, dirty liar like I’m a dirty, dirty fucking whore.” You groaned loudly taking Chan’s cock, bouncing against his lap as you felt him pulse around your walls.
“That’s right baby take my cock.” Chan’s hand came over your bare cheeks, striking them with his full palms while his hips jerked up your body. “Taking the murder fueled, hard fucking cock.”
“Daddy, your cock is making me so fucking wet, stretching my pussy the way you sliced open our friends,” You growled.
“Fuck you’re such a little succubus, baby. Bouncing on my cock, coating yourself in blood. And I’ll kill more and more for you. I’ll do anything for you.”
“Yeah,” You began slowing your pace, drinking in his every word. “You’d do anything for me?”
“I’d kill the entire human population for you.”
That left you smiling from ear to ear, the tension coiling in your stomach. Your chest pressed against his, pushing against his thrusts. “Yeah? Would you cum in me, Daddy? Mix our dirty mess inside me. Let me take your cum, daddy.”
“I’ll let you drain me of every drop, my little psychopath.”
“Cum daddy cum, make me full and breed me with our homicidal baby daddy. Make you a real daddy.”
Chan shuddered, overwhelmed with immense arousal. His hips found life of their own, hammering into you at top speed, and watching the pleasure morph on your face and the staccato rhythm of your breath leave your lips, all while the load threatened to burst out of his sack. “I’m cumming, baby, all for you, ah—“ then it exploded inside you. His cum launched out of his cock like a hose, he painted your wall in milky white, turning pink as it seeped out of you.
“I’m so close, daddy…”
Chan threw his head back to catch his breath, hands possessively finding purchases on your hips. “That’s it, baby. cum for daddy.”
“I’m cuming daddy, I’m—“ You gripped your knife, taking Chan’s abandoned one before plunging both in his head. His smile dropped, a small and weak, “baby” leaving his sweet lips before spitting up blood on your chest and he fell limp.
You didn’t stop, however, given the fact that your orgasm had just arrived the mere second Chan tasted metal in his mouth. Your moans could’ve been mistaken for anguish if not for the smile on your savage face. “I’m cumming all over your cock, Daddy, fuck! You’re so good to me, you do so much for me. I love you so much. Hitting my spot even in death.”
The wave of climax finally started to fade, unlike your smile, wretched and demonic. “Thank you for your sacrifice, Daddy. I’ll miss you so much.” You kissed deceased Chan’s lips, coming down from him, and fixing his pants before fixing his pants before pulling your shorts back on your body.
“Y/n…what the fuck?”
Watching you pull the knives out of Chan’s head, Wonwoo's expression was a mix of confusion and horror, struggling to back away as you approached him calmly, almost serenely.
“Chan has served his purpose,” You answered plainly as if obvious. “It was his time.”
“You did that, all that, with him, and you MURDER HIM? Your partner in sick, sick psychotic crime?”
“I told you spice was necessary, plus I’ve grown rather fond of you.” You bent down to his level, eyes noticeably just a deep pit of disparity. “I couldn’t let him kill you, so I beat him to it. Good thing too, because that was the best orgasm I’ve ever had.”
Wonwoo whimpered under your touch—well, the knife’s touch—as the tip of it dragged over his jaw, drawing out a shudder. “Y-you’re letting me live?”
Your smile. That damned smile. You and Chan were mere reflections of each other. How had he not seen this sick image sooner?
“As long as it's with me, because you love me right? That’s what you said. You’ll always love me and keep me alive. You promised.”
You pressed the blade against his neck, “You’re cold-blooded. Fucking your dead friend’s girlfriend, leaving your other friends to die to save me, and taking on a mass murderer just for me.” Your other hand caressed over his face. “That’s hard fucking core, baby. I love that so much. You really love and want me. Well, I want you just as bad.”
“Like you wanted Chan?”
You scoffed, using the knife to point at the abandoned soulless body on the ground. “Chan was disposable. He was already fucked up in the brain. I can nurture you, let you prove you’re that you’re mine and only mine. Then I’d have no reason to kill you. Not at all…say you’ll be with me forever.”
“…yes, sweetie. O-of course I will.”
You sighed a breath of relief, your harmless hand coming over to stroke over the stray hairs on his head. “That’s my daddy. My one and only. We can be the finals. Together. Only us—”
“Hello! Wonwoo! Y/n!” Miraculously, Seungcheol found their way to you, barely alive it sounds like.
Rage filled your eyes. “Holy fuck how is he still alive,” you mumbled under your breath. “I’ll take care of him.”
You held the knife to your side, standing by the door and away from its open view. “Cheol! In here! We caught the killer!”
Seungcheol managed to find the defaced door, peeking through the rubble to see a disheveled Wonwoo, panting and close to death. “Wonwoo!”
“Cheol…” Wonwoo grunted.
“Hang in there, buddy. I’ve got you.”
“To…your…right.”
You glared at Wonwoo, betrayal in your eyes before launching yourself at the hero, who hardly had a scratch on their body. Seungcheol, taking his friend's warning in consideration, built up a wall of defense. His eyes caught you just in time and held up your arms, pinning you against a wall. His eyes finally registered on your face, and his grip on you only tightened. “Y/n, you evil little bitch.”
You chuckled tauntingly, struggling against his weight and strength. “Hi, Cheol. I know you always wanted to stick something in me, mind letting me do it first?”
“You—wow, you’re actually mentally deranged.”
“You don’t like that? Maybe my knife through your skull can change your mind.”
He kicked you in the groin, having you plummet to your knees, cusses streaming out of you like a river. “You pussy. Ass. Bitch.”
“Seungcheol,” Wonwoo groaned, painfully cheering him on.
You managed to kick Seungcheol down in your distress, crawling on top of him to gain leverage. “I know you liked to be topped.”
You held the knife, hands wrapped tightly around the handle before striking. Meanwhile, Seungcheol’s hands were wrapped around your wrists, the tip of the knife tickling his nose. Sweat beaded against his forehead, struggling harder than he thought he would as you smiled still.
“This would be a lot sexier if you let me run my knife inside you, baby.”
“Fuck you and your demented punk ass,” he grunted.
“I would if you’d just FUCKING DIE!”
A gunshot follows soon after and the blood gushed from your neck, pouring from both ends and falling lifelessly against Seungcheol, who let out a shrill scream.
“I found a gun,” Seokmin proclaimed weakly from the door before fainting to the ground.
Seungcheol rolled your body off of him, sick to his stomach. “Sick crazy bitch.”
He looked towards his friend who remained helpless his entire journey before his eyes got caught on the dead body he only realized now. “Is that…”
“Yeah,” Wonwoo whispered.
“And they…”
“Yeah.”
“Fuck, dude.”
Seungcheol went around to pick up Seokmin from the ground, grabbing the gun. Meanwhile, Wonwoo’s eyes lingered over your body, in disbelief it was alive a mere second ago, then he saw something strange, causing his eyes to fly open. “Cheol behind you!”
Another gunshot. Right between your eyes and your body that stood for hardly a second longer than it should’ve—of course with the knife still in your hand—fell right back on the ground.
“They always come back,” Wonwoo quoted.
Seungcheol let out a deep exhale, loosening his grip around the gun. “And aim for the head.”
“Sorry about your house.”
“…sorry about your girlfriend.”
“Me too.”

you stormed into the classroom, textbooks almost falling out of your arms. you quickly scanned the room to see if snape was there… and of course he was there.
“um, good morning! i’m sorry for being late” you blurted out, walking over to your friends.
“what was it this time, miss l/n?” snape grunted, his eyes piercing your soul.
“the stairs” you mumbled, ready to shuffle over to mingyu, your friend. the slytherins snickered at your answer and snape stopped you with a tsk.
“miss l/n, since you’re late let me enlighten you. you’re doing a pair project on brewing felix felicis. and since you’re late you’ll be working with…” snape paused dramatically, looking for someone who didn’t have a pair “… mr xu”
“oh that’s just bullshit” seungkwan hissed, crossing his arms. dokyeom gasped dramatically.
“mr boo, i believe it is my task to pair students. if you’re disagreeing with that, you’re disagreeing with me. which means…” snape stopped, leaving the conclusion to seungkwan.
“just you wait until we tell soonyoung or seungcheol” kwan whispered to you. your older friends will be outraged as well, that’s for sure.
“move to your partner’s desk, miss l/n” your professor ordered and you gave last pleading look to your friends and slowly moved over to minghao, a fellow slytherin.
“poor y/nnie…” mingyu sighed.
it’s not like you personally hated slytherins or had a problem with minghao and his friends. it was your friends who didn’t like them (especially the gryffindors – seungkwan, soonyoung, deokyeom and chan). the main reason of your fear was purely your social anxiety and separation from your friends. and, well, the fact the slytherins were slightly intimidating. you heard they were gossiping about your friends and merlin knows if they weren’t gossiping about you either.
as snape started his introduction to felix felicis, you stood next to minghao. your fingers anxiously played with the hem of your book, avoiding eye contact.
minghao sighed, regretting his friends were older than him (which meant they had different classes right now). well, he’ll just complain about it later. suddenly he caught minnie and shuhua, his slytherin peers, looking at him playfully.
there goes discretion.
“cat got your tongue?” he asked out of the blue, causing you to look up. you shook your head, trying to figure out what to say. hi i’m y/n? how are you? the weather is nice today?
“no” you said softly after a short while “i’m just listening”
“oh? you always seem extra chatty during potions when you’re with those half bloods though” minghao smirked, looking at your friends. you did the same.
seungkwan made a gesture of cutting his throat, which made you scoff.
“but i’m assuming that’s good you’re listening for once. because don’t you dare mess up the position” the dark haired boy’s voice made you turn around slowly, eyes widening “what? felix felicis usually takes up to five months to brew and i wanna get it done as soon as possible”
“oh” you mumbled. minghao fell quiet too, noticing the crease between your brows. suddenly you nodded, sending him a soft smile “i see. i’ll try my best”
you started taking notes of what snape was saying. minghao though, was surprised.
you were so… gentle. no snarky comments that’s he’s a mean, bad slytherin.
that was refreshing, to say at least.
after the class came to an end, you closed your books and said a quiet goodbye to minghao, rushing to mingyu and your other friends.
“how did you even survive?” seungkwan laughed, side eyeing the slytherin boy that was passing you by.
“hey! it wasn’t bad! he’s nice!” you frowned, following your friends’ tracks and going to find the others.
minghao smiled softly upon hearing your words and went to find his mates before the gossip reaches them.

all the potion classes so far were… peaceful. you worked mostly in silence. but not in awkward silence. his presence was comforting to be around and your gut told you that he’s feeling the same way too. minghao never really give you snarky, mean comments. well, maybe towards your friends or directly at them when they were staring. but never you.
somehow, you weren’t late for the today’s classes. in fact, you were even a little earlier. with no sight of your friends anywhere near, you leaned against the wall and grabbed the book you were currently reading.
lost in your world, you didn’t notice that minghao arrived. he was looking at you with curiosity and even wanted to approach you, when jun showed up.
“oh, i’ve been looking for you!” jun called suddenly, causing you to jerk in surprise. you noticed the two slytherins, wondering when they arrived here.
as you slid down the wall and sat on the floor to continue reading, the boys started talking.
“what do you want?” minghao asked calmly, his eyes still glued to you, a soft smile forming on his face when he recognised the book you were reading. jun turned around, smiling playfully and swinging on his feet.
“are you coming to the three broomsticks this weekend? you didn’t answer jeonghan when he asked you” jun hummed. minghao nodded, shifting his gaze to his friend “good. because we have a lot of things to talk about”
“what do you mean?” minghao grunted and jun just wriggled his brows. the younger punched him, causing jun to squeal.
“okay, okay! you need to start meditating again” jun chuckled and managed to duck another punch that was coming his way “okay! i’m going! have fun!”
minghao just rolled his eyes and once jun was gone, the doors to the classroom opened.
“since you’re here already you can come in” snape announced and disappeared again in the dark classroom.
minghao walked up to you and reached his hand out.
you looked up, closing your book. as a confused frown painted on your face, dokyeom, seungkwan, mingyu and vernon appeared in the hallway.
“don’t make me wait” minghao mumbled coldly. you sent him a warm smile and grabbed his hand. he pulled you gently, helping you stand up.
“YAH!”
you didn’t turn around, you whose voice was that (dokyeom’s). minghao though, tilted his head slightly and send a small smirk to your friends.
“thank you” a hum left your lips and the slytherin nodded, going into the classroom.
mingyu ran up to you, grabbing your face.
“are you okay?!” he yelled out dramatically, causing you to giggle.
Tumblr media
the progress on your potion so far was amazing. it had the right consistency although there was still a lot of work ahead. not to mention your bonds. you didn’t even notice when you started getting along and becoming closer, chatting more and more during the lesson. you discovered that you two have a lot in common and in fact, minghao isn’t that bad as your friends think. he’s pretty cool once you got to know him and above all, you enjoyed his company.
while he was chopping something, you turned around to grab one of the ingredients but in process your wand fell on the floor.
you leaned down to grab it, cursing underneath your breath at your clumsiness. minghao put his hand on the corner of the desk, scanning carefully if you’re not gonna bump into it.
luckily you didn’t – and even if you did, you would bump onto his hand and not the sharp corner. you straightened your back and met vernon’s shocked (frightened, even) gaze. as you turned around you saw minghao taking away his hand and coming back to work. his face was the same, not showing any emotions and simply unbothered.
as blush crept up on your cheeks, you came back to work. suddenly you heard some whispers.
carefully looking around you noticed minnie talking to shuhua, glancing at you.
“did you see that?”
your stomach dropped, your hands starting to sweat. what did they mean by that? but you didn’t do anything… right?
“why did he do that?”
you didn’t even hear when minghao asked you something. you stared at the desk, mind racing with thoughts.
sudden touch on your shoulder made you flinch, your eyes flicking over to worried minghao.
“are you okay?” he asked quietly. letting out a shaky breath, you didn’t realise you were holding, you nodded “you’re a terrible liar”
“isn’t that a good thing though?” you asked with a smile, trying to calm down. minghao scoffed and you took a glance at minnie.
“hufflepuffs…” he mumbled and saw you’re looking away. when he met his friend’s gaze, she stopped gossiping and started working again. minnie’s eyes were locked on minghao’s hand on your shoulder. he took it off, realisation hitting him “i’ll talk to her”
“what? no! what do you mean?” you panicked, tugging his sleeve. this caused his eyes to widen. well, not only his but also your friends’. you cleared your throat and took your hand away “i mean… it’s nothing”
“sure” he grunted angrily, returning to his previous task “don’t mess up the potion”
you but your lip worriedly, nodding slowly. great, you made him angry.
when the lesson ended, you grabbed your stuff and left the classroom. he probably thinks you’re weird now. and what was gonna minnie think about you? it’s not like you wanted to get her in trouble. it’s just…
“yah, y/n!” minghao’s voice made you turn around. you stopped in the middle of the crowd, someone bumping over your shoulder.
seungcheol happened to talk with your ravenclaw friends - joshua, jihoon and wonwoo. they were probably waiting for you to finish your classes since after them you were supposed to go to the three broomsticks. however once seungcheol noticed minghao is bothering you, he was ready to intervene.
you blinked at the slytherin boy as he approached you.
“did i say something?” he asked quietly, aware of your friends watching.
“no! it’s just…” you trailed off, trying to find a way to word your worries without sounding like a weirdo. he’s friends with minnie after all. minghao was waiting patiently “you don’t have to talk to minnie. she was just chatting and i… i guess i was just overthinking. i didn’t want to make you mad or something….”
he scoffed.
you know that it was an amused scoff. seungcheol however, thought it was making fun of you kind of scoff.
“hey, minghao! don’t you have better things to do?” your older friend called, walking over to you. jihoon rolled his eyes.
“none of your business. i’m not talking to you, you filthy–“ minghao stopped in his tracks, looking at you.
“don’t call him like that” you mumbled, sending him a grumpy look “and you, cheol, can you give us a moment?”
“no, it’s fine. i won’t say a thing to minnie, if that’s what you want” minghao grunted, sending seungcheol an angry look. then, shifting his gaze towards you his features softened ever so slightly “and i wasn’t mad at you. i was mad at minnie. but anyways… see you soon”
he walked away, disappearing in the crowd of students.
“what the fuck was that?” seungcheol growled. he wasn’t too happy to find out that you’re working with minghao and now that you seem to be… talking to him? he has a bad feeling. well, not only him.
“it was a normal conversation” you sighed and saw vernon, mingyu, seungkwan and dokyeom coming your way.
“oh my god! did you see that?!” seungkwan yelled out, catching the older’s attention.
“what? don’t even tell me it was something bad, i wanna beat him up already” soonyoung crossed his arms. suddenly chan joined you, making the group complete.
“he–“ mingyu started and you just walked up to the ravenclaws, joshua linking his arm with you.
“they’re overreacting, aren’t they?” wonwoo giggled upon seeing your annoyed look.
“they so are! he’s not bad! they just… didn’t get to know him. i don’t get the slytherin hate” you grunted “not all of them are bad, right?”
“right. it’s just that… you have to be careful. they’re overreacting, i agree, but we don’t want you to get sad” jihoon hummed
“why would i get sad?” you furrowed your brows. the three of them exchanged suspicious looks. joshua shrugged with a playful smile.
“in case cheol beats him up or something” wonwoo sighed dramatically. upon hearing his name, seungcheol skipped over to you.
“pfff… he’s so not going to beat him up. minghao knows material arts! isn’t that so cool?” your eyes lit up and you let out a squeak when seungcheol playfully punched your arm
“i would defeat him in two seconds!” he grinned goofily, causing you all to burst out laughing.
Tumblr media
three months passed and you’d consider minghao your friend. at this point, you see each other every day. not only you have potions together but also transfiguration, defence against the dark arts and much more. you were always so focused on sticking to your friends that you never really realised he’s there. one day minghao even sat with you during history of magic since mingyu and vernon sat together – of course later on soonyoung gave you a lecture about running away if it happens again in the future. you didn’t. – and it stayed like that. even during other classes.
that’s how you ended up getting your first detention. you were trying to keep quiet but he was just telling you a story when jun fell asleep with his eyes open in the school corridor and scared the living shit out of filch.
“mrs l/n, mr xu! you can always go on a date after classes. mind telling us what’s so funny? or maybe you’re just so ahead with the book that you don’t have to listen during my lessons?” flitwick asked, causing you to freeze. you looked at the man, nodding politely as your cheeks turned red. minghao, however, wasn’t impressed.
“well, actually–“ he started, causing you to kick his ankle under the desk “ow!”
“actually what, mr xu?” flitwick rose his eyebrows. you felt the whole class gaze on you two, causing you to redden even more. you hate being in the centre of attention and minghao was certainly having the fun of his life.
“actually i’d love to present the spell we were just talking about. y/n explained it to me lately” minghao shrugged and your eyes widened.
“what are you–“ you started, unable to finish because–
“aqua eructo!” minghao waved his wand happily and you let out a yelp upon water landing all over your head “oh shit–!”
his smile faded away upon seeing you drenched in water… and the rest of the class being soaked.
so that’s how you ended up cleaning it without wands (“because it would be too easy, right?”)
“what were you thinking?” you laughed, wiping the floor while being on your knees.
“i just felt like showing off…” he giggled, looking over at you
“but?” you smiled, wiping the sweat off your forehead with your forearm.
“but… someone made me nervous” he smirked. you rose your eyebrows, looking at him.
“who? flitwick?” your question caused him to scoff, a toothy grin springing on his face.
“yeah, flitwick”
once you were finished it was past 10pm so if you were caught, you definitely would be in trouble.
“i’ll walk you to the dorms” minghao offered.
“but…” you started, not wanting him to lose his sleep time, that he already wasted on the cleaning.. he linked his arms with you with a shy smile.
“no buts. because of me you were stuck and had to help me with the mess. it’s the least i can do. and also… thank you” he explained and you looked at him, melting completely.
“no problem” you grinned and turned around, causing him to almost fall over “but you’re going the wrong way”
you were chatting quietly, almost arriving at your dorms, when suddenly minghao pulled you closer to hide behind a column.
“what–?!” you gasped, taken aback by his action. he just put his free hand over your mouth, head leaning back.
observing his handsome profile made you realise how close you were, his body pressing onto yours. if he turned his head, there would be very little space between your faces–
and he did just that. your heart skipped a bear when minghao looked at you, lips slightly parted. his chest was moving up and down irregularly, trying to keep his breathing as quiet as he could.
he slowly took off his hand from your mouth, sending you an apologetic smile. you looked at his lips quickly – and whether he noticed or not, minghao pulled back.
“filch” he gulped, nodding his head “but it’s safe now”
you nodded as well, realising you were holding onto his hand. you let it go, coughing awkwardly.
“you can go now, it’s close from here” you mumbled, looking up at him. he seemed a bit distracted, which was… weird.
“huh? oh. i’ll go, yeah. wait, do you… are you busy tomorrow?” he asked quietly. you blinked slowly. tomorrow? saturday.
“no. i mean no, i’m not busy” you whispered, trying to remember how to breathe. what was he–
“do you wanna, uh… hang out? in hogsmeade? we can meet after dinner and…” he stopped, clearing his throat. he looked at you nervously, trying to come up with an excuse if you haven’t agreed but–
“i’d love to” you sent him a warm smile. minghao’s eyes lit up, and so did his face.
“see you tomorrow then! and have a good night, y/n!” he grinned and waved happily. you waved back, wishing him a good night as well. you only left after he was gone, the echo of his footsteps turning into peaceful silence.
when you arrived to the dorm, you leaned against the wall. pressing your hand to your chest you realised how ridiculously fast was it beating. is it because of him? it has to be. fuck, did you fell in love or something? no, it’s just the fact that he wanted to hang out with you. alone. on saturday.
mingyu, vernon and cheol were waiting for you, heads turned your way the second they heard someone coming inside the common room. they looked at each other, surprised at your actions.
“i was so stressed! i thought he kidnapped you!” cheol yelled out, causing you to flinch. oh. they’re here. vernon grinned goofily upon your expression “so?! what happened?!”
“it’s just… nothing. nothing happened” you hummed, unable to stop smiling. mingyu let out a sudden gasp “nothing!”
“yeah, sure! why are you smiling like that?!” seungcheol whined.
“i had a fun time, that’s it” you mumbled and shook your head “i’m tired, bye!”
they watched you run to your dorm. vernon winked at mingyu and seungcheol frowned.
“a fun time? with minghao? something’s wrong” he sighed “i don’t like it… and him”
miyeon was looking at you amused as you were panicking, running around the dorm and digging through your clothes
“i shouldn’t be nervous. it’s not a date” you breathed out and grabbed your black and yellow striped sweater.
“it’s a date. also don’t take the sweater, it’s warm” miyeon giggled, standing up from the bed. you put it away, taking a deep sigh.
“you think it’s a date? he just asked if i’m busy today…” you trailed off, looking at her unsurely. thank merlin you had friends like her, with the boys you wouldn’t be able to even have a chat like that. and maybe that’s why you didn’t realise it was a date… or so miyeon said.
“it’s definitely a date. besides…” she trailed off. miyeon fixed your hair that were falling on your face “you look so pretty. now go. and remember, don’t stress”
“i’m not” you sent her a playful look and she just laughed
“if i seungcheol or soonyoung ask about you… uh, i’ll figure something out so don’t worry about that” she giggled mischievously and patted your back “now go, for god’s sake! and please don’t eat too fast during dinner, you’ll choke!”
“okay!” you saluted and stormed out of the girls dorm, causing the three of your hufflepuff friends chilling in the common room to turn their heads.
“minnie was so right, they’ll look so cute together” she whispered once you were gone, rushing to find her friends and tell them about the news.
you tried to follow miyeon’s advice, you really did but upon seeing minghao wearing his casual clothes and waiting for you… you couldn’t help but speedily wolf down your food.
before approaching him you looked around if there are some familiar faces. fortunately, there weren’t. which was suspicious to be honest but at the moment it wasn’t your biggest worrry.
you left the great hall and noticed him leaning against the wall, his features pensive. however, his eyes lit up upon seeing you and you couldn’t help but mirror the wide smile he gave you.
“hi” you hummed, standing in front of him. minghao scanned your face, a mysterious glint in his eyes
“hi y/n. did you sleep well?” he asked, tilting his head. such a simple question and yet, your heart is going crazy. and you didn’t sleep well… you had troubles falling asleep due to excitement rushing through every vein and vessel in your body but obviously you’re not going to tell him that–
“i did, thank you for asking. and you? hopefully you didn’t run into flich on your way back?” you gasped. minghao shook his head and gestured you to start walking.
while you were chatting during the walk to hogsmeade, your hands brushed a couple of times. you tried your best to ignore it but you had a bad feeling that he was well aware of it as well.
“it’s so… oddly empty today, isn’t it?” you blurted out, the path looking nothing like usually on weekends: swarmed with crowds of excited students. and right now… nothing. just you, him and birds chirping in the trees.
“there’s a quidditch match today so i figured i’d be the perfect opportunity to… you know, hang out” he said a bit shyly
“oh yeah. i didn’t even think about this. that’s good, i’m afraid seungcheol would kill me. and you. if he saw us” a heavy sigh left your mouth and he just chuckled.
“i’ve been wondering… how did you even become friends?” minghao asked. his hand once again accidentally brushed yours, sending sparks down your spine.
“well… at first it was only mingyu and vernon. i just sticked to them after the sorting hat announced we’re hufflepuffs. vernon became friends with seungkwan and dokyeom, who were friends with soonyoung since he accidentally got them in trouble at their first day. mingyu befriended wonwoo and seungcheol. and seungcheol is older, so he was already friends with joshua and jihoon. it just… they kind of adopted me” you laughed, a bright smile painted on his lips too “and i don’t mind. i really have problems with socialising so well, yeah, it was awkward at first but i’m really glad i’m friends with them. sometimes they make you extroverted even if you’re the most socially awkward person ever. which i am. and because of that chan is our friend too! i adopted him”
minghao grinned, looking at your proud face. he recalled how many times you were hanging out with the younger gryffindor boy which now made extra sense.
“same with the girls, kind of. my roommate is miyeon! and miyeon is friends with soyeon and yuqi. i mean we’re not that close as i am with the boys but still, i love hanging out with them” you explained, crossing your arms. speaking of which, did miyeon even check the weather? it wasn’t that warm…
“you do know that they’re friends with minnie and shuhua, right?” minghao asked slowly, scanning your face.
“yeah, of course! that’s kind of why… back then i didn’t want you to talk to minnie. it bothered me because i was overthinking, you know… what would she think of me? she’d tell soyeon and then they would stop hanging out with me” you grumbled and minghao let a soft laugh.
“oh, y/n. they wouldn’t do that, i promise. you’re too precious” he hummed and noticed how you’re rubbing your bare arms “are you cold?”
“just a bit, but…” your voice trailed off when minghao stopped in his tracks and took off his grey hoodie. he stood behind you and helped you put it on. after that, he came back in front of you and zipped it gently.
“here you go” he hummed and you swore his ears were tinted red.
“thank you” you mumbled, not really sure what’s the source of your warmth: his hoodie or your glowing red cheeks.
in a matter of time you arrived to three broomsticks, the local not so fully crowded. minghao ordered two butter beers for you and went to find a seat while you excused yourself to the bathroom.
upon seeing your reflection you had to take a few deep breaths. his hoodie was too big on you but you liked it. besides, it actually went along with your outfit. not to mention that it smelled like him. you shook your head, trying to pull yourself together. it’s just a hoodie that he gave you because you were cold. stop being weird–
you left the bathroom and noticed minghao sitting at a table with… jeonghan and jun. he was faced back to you, so naturally he didn’t see you and his friends didn’t seem to notice you either.
you walked up, not wanting to eavesdrop but…
“what are you doing here? two beers? is that a date?!” jun sing-sung and suddenly let out a gasp, realisation settling in “with the hufflepuff girl–?!”
“what? no! shut up!” minghao grunted. jeonghan frowned, tilting his head
“that one girl that’s always attached to those bloody gryffindors? and seungcheol?” he asked and minghao started panicking.
“well yeah but– it’s not a date. it’s nothing serious. we just came here to discuss the potion, that’s it. once we’re done with it i’m done with her too” minghao explained, his breath shaking “she pisses me off, really…”
your heart dropped, hands starting to shake. so cheol was right from the begging…
“what do you mean?! you’re basically glued to each other and like, it’s nothing bad” jun frowned. your vision started getting blurry because of the tears forming in your eyes. you should go before they notice you.
“jun, end of topic. i don’t even like her that much, get it?” minghao snapped and you let out a deep breath “she’s so annoying! it’s like a torture being around her–“
“uh, minghao…” jeonghan sighed, his gaze shifting. he turned around and saw you leaving.
minghao’s heart dropped. fuck, fuck, fuck. it wasn’t supposed to be like that! why did he even…
he stood up, running after you. jun looked at his older friend and grabbed the two butter beers that minghao left behind.
“he doesn’t like her, huh? does he think we’re blind or what?” jun scoffed and they laughed, taking a sip of the beverage.
“well he may like here but she sure won’t like him now” jeonghan rolled his eyes at the younger’s stupidity.
you were wiping your cheeks, heart thumping against your rib cage. your mind was racing with thoughts but the most repetitive one was that your friends were right.
“y/n!”
he was coming after you. why bother now? you didn’t stop, harsh sobs leaving your mouth.
suddenly you bumped into something or rather, someone.
“hey! hey, y/n? oh baby!” soyeon’s voice was filled with worry and you just hugged onto her “what happened?”
you just shook your head. soyeon hugged you tightly and noticed minghao coming your way.
“i see. this asshole” she grunted and turned around, leading you towards the castle.
minghao stopped upon seeing that. right. it was probably for the best to give you some time now…? or at least talk to you alone.
well, luck wasn’t by his side.
“–the hit? i swear, you’re like a tiger when you enter the field!” chan grinned and soonyoung laughed loudly.
“isn’t that y/n?” wonwoo asked suddenly, pointing at you
they all turned around, eyes widening upon noticing your shaking body. soyeon and yuqi were walking with you, the gryffindor girl wiping your tears.
chan wanted to walk up to you but yuqi noticed him and gave him a warning look.
“not now” jihoon mumbled, pulling him back.
“what happened?” dokyeom whispered. they all watched how the girls walked you back to the dorms.
“as if i know” seungkwan rolled his eyes. joshua gasped suddenly and rushed the other way.
“what’s up with him?” seungcheol shook his head. you’ll definitely have to talk to them later.
miyeon patted your hair as you bawled your eyes out, tightly hugging your pillow.
“why do i care so much?” you breathed out, looking at her confused.
“oh, y/nnie…” she sighed, concern on her face. then it hit you.
because you like him. way more than a friend.
Tumblr media
minghao haven’t seen you the whole weekend. he only got a lecture from minnie and shuhua about hurting your feelings, not being able to treat girls properly and all of that. as if he didn’t know he messed up. they told him you were crying the whole time and even if he didn’t believe them, the sight of you on a monday morning a proof. and it was heart breaking. especially that he knew he was the source of it.
during your lessons you sat with vernon. your friends probably didn’t know what happened yet since they seemed confused and seungcheol or soonyoung haven’t spoken to him yet. besides joshua, he kept side eyeing the slytherins every time they passed you by, especially jeonghan.
and for the first time ever minghao was looking forward to potions. you’ll have to talk to him, right? you can sit with someone else during charms but during potions you’re his partner.
however, you were absent.
“where’s miss l/n?” snape asked, clicking his tongue.
“she isn’t feeling very well, she went to madam pomfrey” mingyu explained, his voice lacking the usual enthusiasm. he looked over at minghao, and if only looks could kill...
“i see. next week i’m going to grade your potions so someone tell her that she’ll better be here” he said and have minghao a questioning look.
“what if he poisoned her? you know, so he can gain all the credits?!” seungkwan gasped a little too loudly, causing to draw attention to him.
“you’re being too dramatic, mr boo. and if mr xu did happen to do that, i’ll make sure he gets the proper punishment” snape hissed and the lesson begun.
minghao felt strange without your presence.
seungcheol grabbed your arm when you were leaving the great hall after supper. the bags under your eyes made his heart clench.
“hey, y/n. are you okay? because clearly…” he started. suddenly jihoon joined you, crossing his arms. you let out a sigh, trying to look away but you met minghao’s gaze. well to be fair, you were standing in the middle of the room.
“i’m fine. just a little sick, that’s all” you grunted “can you let me go? i’m tired”
“we need to talk” seungcheol said, voice stern. soonyoung noticed you all and stood up from your seat to join you.
“i’m tired” you repeated coldly. seungcheol turned around and saw minghao looking your way
“then i’ll just talk to him” he grunted and let you go. jihoon grabbed his arm, preventing him from going further and pointed at you.
tears gathered at your water line as you let out a deep sigh.
“y/n, chan asked you to meet with him at the gryffindor quidditch team locker room” joshua’s voice appeared from nowhere, drawing everyone’s attention. soonyoung, who joined you, frowned.
“mkay” you mumbled quietly and wiped your tears with shaky hands “i’ll talk to you later, i promise”
when you walked away, soonyoung punched seungcheol
“what did you do! you made her cry!” he grunted.
“no i didn’t!” the older yelled. while the gryffindors argued, jihoon came back to his seat. because of that none of them noticed jeonghan and minghao passing them by and the older one winking at joshua.
you sat down at the bench, waiting for chan. looking down on the floor, you were busy with swinging your feet. suddenly you heard the door open and you let out a sigh.
“finally you’re here” a hum left your mouth, the sound of door closing disturbing the quietness of the room “i’m not in the best mood to talk so sorry if…”
you looked up and words died in your throat upon seeing minghao. he was just as confused as you.
the room felt silent again (for different reasons though), tension thickening.
“y/n i need to-“ he started but you stood up, passing him by and pushing the door. well, wanting to. they didn’t bulge a bit.
“y/nnie i locked the door! have fun~!” joshua’s happy voice from the other side made you gasp
“you traitor!” you grunted, looking around slowly at minghao.
“wait, jeonghan?” he called out, frowning.
“yeah. just talk it through already, i don’t want to wait here for the whole day” jeonghan said
“why would you…?” you murmured and started looking for your wand. oh.
“let’s go further away though, let them have some privacy” joshua’s voice sounded worried and there were steps echoing on the other side.
“i wanna listen though–!” jeonghan whined.
after a moment there was silence again. minghao was looking at you, his eyes filled with guilt.
“y/n, listen to me please” he spoke softly, playing with his fingers.
“why would i? aren’t i a torture to be around with? why you even bother?” you grunted and returned to the bench, looking away from him.
it hurt. you avoided him because whenever you looked at him, your heart shattered into pieces again and again.
“i’m sorry”
you gulped, trying to look unbothered.
the sound of his steps approaching and him sitting on the bench didn’t help your case.
“i’m so fucking sorry. it’s… i shouldn’t have said that. never. i know it was horrible and i’m in no place to make excuses but listen to me, please” he said, his voice filled with genuine pain. you turned around, yet you didn’t face him. gaze stuck on the floor, as if the dust there was the most interesting thing ever, you started drumming your fingers anxiously against the bench’s surface.
“i was scared. i was scared that my friends will judge me; i was scared that they’ll tell my parents; i was scared of others, what will they think: a slytherin with a hufflepuff? i was scared… because i panicked. i panicked… because i like you. but i was afraid that if somehow someone would find out, you’d be in danger and–“ minghao sucked a breath and you noticed how close his hand was next to you, your pinkies brushing against each other “i didn’t mean any of those words that i said. well…”
minghao scanned your face. he was frightened. you were sitting silently, not answering him. will you ever forgive him.
“well?” you choked out, chest heavy.
“being around you is like a torture because i’m madly in love with you. it hurts me physically to look at you crying, to look at your pretty face and knowing i can’t kiss it. to see how wildly you’re grinning at those stupid loud ass gryffindors’ jokes–“ he halted, eyes widening. fuck, he overshared. he overshared and you’ll hate him even more than you did–
you grabbed his hand, giving it a small squeeze. minghao’s face heated up upon the gesture, his heart skipping a beat. what does this mean? are you comforting him or…?
you’re crying.
“y/n, no no no no… don’t cry, please” he panicked, leaving to kneel in front of you. with your free hand you covered your face, the rest of your body shaking.
“you’re making me cry so much, i hate you” you let out a breathy laugh, wiping your eyes even though the tears wouldn’t stop.
“what?” he whispered, his thumb reassuringly stroking your hand.
“you like me?” you chuckled, finally looking at him. his brown irises were focused on you, features softening.
“did you just full on ignore the apology part?” he scoffed, brining a smile on both of your faces
“i… i’m not going to lie, i was hurt. i felt like i was betrayed: a someone who i treated as a friend said he hated me… but… you were scared? oh, hao… i’d be an idiot to forgive you but well, aren’t i already?” you whispered. minghao tried to ignore the swarm of butterflies that appeared in his stomach due to the nickname, his head plopping down and resting against your knee.
“i’m so sorry. i’ll never forgive myself for hurting you like that. i know i broke your trust and heart probably. but please… please give me another chance” he breathed out.
you tapped his arm lightly. the slytherin boy rose his head up, eyes shining with anticipation.
“see, there’s one thing you need to know: i like you. and that horrible event made me realise that. so i’d say give me a kiss and i’ll give you a chance–“ you broke into laughter when he eagerly stood up. when he leaned closer, you put your hand on his lips, giggling even more upon his confused expression “–but for merlin’s sake i do not want our first kiss to take place in this stinky locker room”
eyes widening, minghao leaned away. with a soft oh he scrunched up his nose.
“okay, i think i know where we can go. but… jeonghan and joshua…?” he rose his eyebrows.
“easy there, lover boy” you stood up, letting go of his hand. minghao’s heart was racing, the realisation hitting him: you like him. you forgave him. and you’re willing to kiss him? if not the fact that your felix felicis wasn’t finished, he would have thought that someone poured it into his tea.
“hey bro, not to interrupt your meditation or whatever but y/n is gone” jeonghan’s voice made him snap back to reality, dropping the smile that subconsciously formed on his lips
“where’d she go?” minghao asked, looking at his older friend. jeonghan was smiling suspiciously, a mischievous smirk on his face.
minghao rushed after you, apparently walking back to your dorm.
“y/n!” he called upon seeing you in the hallway. he run up to you, ignoring the weird looks from strangers and gasps from your girl friends (including minnie’s “i told you!” and yuqi’s “wait, they made up?”)
you turned around, a goofy smile on your face.
“yeah?” your voice was filled with playfulness, alas your eyes were glinting with excitement.
“can i please kiss you? i feel like i might explode if i don’t” minghao breathed out, chest rising up and down irregularly.
“you’re not afraid of what will others think?” you teased, tilting your head slightly.
“i’ll be honest, the moment you called me a lover boy i feel like i was reborn” he grunted, his usual grumpy expression forming on his face once realising how cheesy he sounds “can i–?”
“yeah” you laughed and in no time his big, soft palms were cupping your cheeks tenderly. the air was knocked out of your lungs as soon as his pillowy lips landed against yours.
normally, your mind would be racing with what ifs: what if the others think you’re weird? what if your friends see you? what if the teachers catch you? but now… minghao soothed away your anxiety and nervousness, his embrace and the feeling of him and only him making you forget about the world.
loud cheers and applause (coming from your girl friends) in the hallway made you smile into the kiss, and he reacted the same way. without pulling away yet you put your hands on his neck, trying to bring him even closer.
minghao pulled away but didn’t lean back too far. you could see the sparks in his eyes, soft smile on his lips. and you couldn’t stare at him like that for the whole day of not the yells in the background becoming louder and louder.
“can we run away somewhere? i can hear seungcheol approaching and i do not want to be beaten up by him… and also we could have one or two more kisses…?” he mumbled looking through his shoulder to see, in fact, your older friend. soyeon, shuhua and jihoon were trying to stop him while yuqi, minnie were arguing about something with soonyoung and seungkwan (“leave them alone it’s not like he’s hurting her?!” “but the sight is hurting my eyes-!”). miyeon and wonwoo were shaking their heads, chan and vernon signalled you to run.
so you did, giggling. minghao’s hand was squeezing yours, fingers intertwined.

you stormed into the classroom, textbooks almost falling out of your arms. you quickly scanned the room to see if snape was there… and of course he was there.
“um, good morning! i’m sorry for being late” you blurted out, walking over to your desk.
“what was it this time, miss l/n?” snape grunted, his eyes piercing your soul.
“sorry for being late– ” minghao bursted into the classroom, his tie loosened and collar all over the place, revealing his neck tinted in…
“ew” mingyu grunted. as the slytherin boy walked over to you, you fixed his collar with pink cheeks. you told him to do it but obviously he’s just an attention seeker… and he has a thing for showing off you’re a couple now.
snape was speechless. he turned around, sighing.
“prepare your potions. i’ll be checking them in a minute” he announced and you looked over at minghao, his eyes sparkling with boyish playfulness.
“idiot” you scoffed and nudged his arm.
you never used felix felicis, you just didn’t see any sense of even using a potion like that. despite that, you did feel lucky that you meet minghao while working on it. maybe it was just a side effect of felix felicis? or maybe just destiny?
