until we meet again
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: mineru x gn!reader (+sonia & rauru)
summary: mineru loses it when you get kidnapped...
Tumblr media
“we have to go back–!! we can't just leave without–”
mineru was hysterical. while the last battle had been triumphant, the enemy had gotten their hands on you. and despite your girlfriend attempting to rush after you and save you, her brother held her back.
“mineru, calm yourself–!”
rauru advised. he knew this was hard on her. everyone was distressed that they had lost you, but as your girlfriend things were worse for mineru. it must be killing her to be separated from you like this…
“how can i be calm when they have y/n? they are out there on their own! and we're not even trying to get them back!?”
mineru was close to tears, which was sonia's cue to jump in and comfort her. she gently placed her hand on mineru's cheek and wiped away her tears.
“i promise you, we'll do everything to get them back. but if we rush in there without a plan, we can save them”
mineru's lip trembled, almost as if she wanted to say something. she needed to make sure you were save, but she couldn't argue with that logic. without a proper plan, she couldn't save you.
“f-fine… but if anything happens to them–”
“it won't! they'll be fine, i promise!”

Hi, would you do a Mineru X reader like Reader got transported to the past with Zelda and Reader called Mineru the most beautiful woman they have ever met?
Tumblr media
Hi hi!! Thanks for the request, and what a cute one too!
“You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met…”
Mineru x reader
Tumblr media
There have been many surprises for you and Zelda both after you had been transported back many centuries in time
Not only did you have to get used to the fact that you were tens of thousands of years back,
But the Zonai that you and Zelda had been studying were here, in the flesh
You were fascinated with Rauru, the king of Hyrule
But another Zonai had caught your eye instead…
Both you and Zelda were in a meeting with the kings elder sister, Mineru
She was a mystical being, a woman who was interested in the technology and history behind her own people
A genius, to put simply.
Your eyes didn’t leave her as she spoke, a smooth and silky voice leaving her lips
Long After the conversation between Rauru, Zelda and her had ended, you still wished to prolong your stay
It was like you were in a trance, and you didn’t know why
“Is there a reason you stare at me so?”
She asked you, finally snapping you out of your trance
You were flustered, it was like she saw right through you
But with a swollen tongue and red creeping up on your cheeks,
“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.”
You don’t know what lead you to say such a thing, because in any other situation you wouldn’t have admitted something like that
Her eyes were cunning, it was like she drew out those words by her own will
But as you cowered embarrassed, she smiled.
“Thank you. I don’t hear that very often.”
Her sharp teeth bared a slight smile, bowing her head in her chair
You left her, but I think that we both know it wouldn’t be the last time you visit her
Tumblr media
Thanks for reading!!

It had many names, the Legend of the Dragon's Daughter. Many of which titled it as either a legend or a story. A myth. Some warned of great dangers surrounding the aura of the spirit the legend told about. Other's told of the pure divinity that this being held in the palm of their hand. The grace and adroitness that lined their very pores was spoken of so fondly by the older generations who had heard the story from their own grandparents, who had heard it from theirs and so on and so forth. The older Zora especially spoke of her in such a tone he found himself lending a little belief to the legend.
The story told of a daughter, blessed to the first King and Queen of Hyrule by the Three Goddesses themselves. A princess bestowed with the gift of beauty and grace, a beacon to the budding kingdom. There were even carvings under Hyrule Castle, hidden by toppled boulders, that portrayed her image.
And he would admit. She looked like a being having been blessed by the heavens above.
The carvings had showed an ugly side to an already bitter story. How this princess, this goddess sculpted muse, was struck down by the Demon King as a means to get back at both King Rauru and Queen Sonia. The carvings from there had been too worn down to get a clear reading, but it was enough to pique his interest. Besides, what else did he have to do? Save a princess who had no issues with leaving him to die? Deal with monsters that the people of Hyrule already knew damn well how to deal with and were no longer scared of them? Traverse the depths and all the lightroots he had already found?
At least this way, he may get some new power out of it. If nothing else, at least he had a good story for Traysi.
His first area to investigate was the sky island he woke up on. He could still spot Rauru's spirit in certain areas, understanding the solemn look he seemed to wear much more than he previously did.
It was also much easier to travel around the island this time around, which was a bonus.
When prodded for answers, something complicated flashed over the spirit's face before it settled into a Grim acceptance. One Link had worn too often right after remembering the untimely demise of the Champions.
"She was gravely injured. My precious sunshine. I almost lost her that day." He had spoken in a grave echo, eyes glazed and far off, as if seeing his daughter right in front of him. "My sister, Mineru, had offered her services in an effort to preserve her soul. I am unsure if it had worked. I haven't had the heart to look. I would be such a disappointment to her fiery heart and iron strong will to shine in the brightest ways possible. She was kept in the Temple of Time if you are at all curious."
He was. He was curious. He wanted to see this being for himself. If Rauru spoke so highly of you, it had to be worth it. And it was either this or go save Zelda, and he figured she was fine doing what she currently was for a little while longer.
At least until he looked further into this.
Walking into the temple, he hummed to himself as he looked around, spotting the blue glow of Rauru near a wall closer to the exit. He nodded solemnly when Link approached. The hand that matched his own raised to the wall, pulling forth one of those green symbols that chimed at his hand. The bricks shuffled and moved while Rauru faded out, leaving an unactive construct in front of him. It rattled to life, chirping up at him before recognizing that he was friend and not foe. The Construct explained that he was designed to protect the chasm the Princess was being kept in, but since Rauru had deemed him worthy, he would escort the blond to the place. It wasn't a long journey, not at all, just down a spiraling staircase with stone walls curtained by moss.
But the moment he laid eyes on you, he understood why you were hidden.
You face was lax in such a peaceful expression as your body remained weightless, suspended in a bubble of seafoam green and ocean blue. Your hair was splaying up behind you as if you were underwater with your hands clasped around a hilt of a sword. Even the sword itself was divinity in a blade, glowing a bright white from it's place in front of you. You were clad in white robes trimmed in cold with a stone necklace laced around your delicate neck, those same white earrings hanging from your ears.
You were...ethereal. From the curve of your jawbone to the plump flesh of your cheeks, he was enthralled by your very essence. The curve of your shoulders and the toned flow of your arms, even the dip in your collarbone-- all of it had his eyes trailing every bend and curve of your body.
What he wouldn't do to get a piece of you.
He ached to just touch your sun-kissed skin, to feel it under his palms as he held you. To feel the run of your hips, fingers gripping at the dips that decorated them. To paint them a splattering of blues and purples in a lasting reminder of who he was and what he had done to you. To bite and nibble at the flesh just to hear the kind of cries you would make.
Goddess, he couldn't imagine what your voice sounded like, but he wanted to. He wanted to hear what it sounded like while you breathlessly gasped out. To hear what it sounded like when you cried out his name in pure ecstasy as you withered underneath of him. To hear you give yourself to him entirely.
He wanted to feel your weight on top of him, to experience your hands in his hair (Or cupping his cheeks if he chose to allow himself that vulnerability), to live in your orbit, worshipping you as his one true Goddess.
His eyes landed on the same green symbol that unlocked everything pertaining to the Zonai. He raised his hand in response. It lit up a bright green before fading. The bubble shined brightly before growing, eventually popping and exposing you to the elements. Which why? You were so vulnerable like that? Why not just give you to him directly? You were at risk like this. Couldn't they SEE THAT-
Whatever invisible force keeping you suspended gently laid you on your feet, which were bare, only adorned with an anklet matching your necklace. The tip of the sword in your hand clinked against the stone floor. The echo of it made your eyes, your gorgeous, gorgeous eyes, snap open. If he thought seeing you before was captivating, this was downright...enchanting. The light of your irises positively glowed as your silently gasped, hands tightening around the hilt of the weapon. He rushed to your side as he saw your balance falter, cradling you in his arms as one of your hands came to gently hold your own temple. Even just the sound of your groan made him swallow hard, fighting the blood threatening to rush to his (dick-) cheeks.
You blinked before realizing that he was not someone you knew, pushing him away with much more force than he would expect from someone fresh out of a comatose state. The only thing stopping him from wrapping his arms around you once more was the tip of the very blade now prodding at his neck. He swallowed.
"Who are you?" You demanded, hold on the weapon shaking just a tad.
(Which was so adorable. How someone like you, all soft skin and doe eyes, expected to make someone like him, rugged scars and gnarled morals, bend to you was beyond him.)
(But he'd love to see you try anyway.)
"Where are my people?! Or Queen Sonia and King Rauru?!" Oh, you were so cute.
He wanted to decimate that innocence you carried.
With a careful hand, he gently pushed the blade aside with the back of a hand, letting a smug smirk settle on his lips. Your cheeks immediately reddened as your attention remained on him. Just as he liked it, he decided then and there. He liked having your attention (and only yours) on him. But having you acting so hostile towards him just wouldn't stand. But you didn't know any better, not yet anyway, so he'd let it slide.
He gently explained that you had been fatally wounded protecting your people, something that your parents were endlessly proud of you for-- even in death. While it was a direct shot in his, admittedly lacking, heart to be the one to tell you of the passed time and the death of your parents (The sacrifice of your father and the betrayal that lead to your mother's death), he was evidently the best and only option. He understood, on an intimate level, what it was like to loose so much time, healing yourself, while the rest of the world carried on, carrying the loss of friends and family with it. He knew what it was like. It had to be why you two were so perfect for each other.
He held you as your cried, soothing down your hair as your tears (Which should never have been shed) soaked his shoulder. While he was never interested in defeating the Demon King for Zelda's sake, he may have just found another motive.
One much more worthy of his time and attention.
<><><><>
When he first saw you, he understood why you were hidden, on a surface level.
He understood why much more on a deeper, more intimate one now.
You were so bubbly. Even when faced with the devastation of your home, you remained optimistic, greeting the constructs that roamed around happily. Bestowing your cherished kisses (Those should belong to him.) upon their cold exterior while wiping them free of dirt. Even the wildlife that had squawked and charged at him crooned and chirped under your touch, hankering for the scratches you gifted them under the chin. You saw beauty in the overrun weeds and fauna, taking great interest in the new species that had popped up.
When he took to the mainland, via shrine travel because he would be damned before you got down the same way he originally did, it seemed like you couldn't see everything fast enough. You loved exploring the caves, despite the Like-Likes baring their disgusting teeth and innards (Which he quickly disposed of), ached to get as close as possible to the chasms (Which wasn't very as he refused to risk you falling in), yearned to traverse the mountain peaks and snow dunes of the mainland (Which killed him on the inside since didn't you know how dangerous those were?!).
You were quite the adventurer, full of inexperienced naivety and unpoised curiosity. The exact opposite of the princess he knew. He forgot you were royalty have the time with your mannerisms, nothing like Zelda. Which was so refreshing.
If only you weren't so fragile. He would never admit it (Too your face at least) that he's thought of just tying you down and keeping you in his (He saw it as your shared home these days) home. It was on the far outskirts of Tarrey town (Far enough no one would hear your cries for help should it come to that) with a pasture out front so you could keep a horse nearby as a friend (Should you behave).
(It wouldn't be a young, steady horse. No, most likely an older horse who had long since retired from any sort of running or getaway attempts.)
He just needed a way to keep you stationary.
And it hit him like a Hinox. You two were walking around Hateno (It was deemed safe and far enough from Tarry Town that it was still new to you), when you stopped, let out a high enough squeal his ears pinned to his head as his head snapped towards you. You were always in his peripheral, but now you were right in front of him with his hands quickly holding your arms, checking you over for injury. There were none, but you were beaming like someone had handed you a million rupees (He would. He could. He'd do it just for you), instead redirecting his attention with a call of 'Link, look!'. He had followed your line of sight just as you began squeezing his own hands, expecting you to be aweing over a cow or goat or, Goddess forbid, a dog again (You very nearly took one of stable dogs home last time). But you weren't.
And that's when it hit him.
You were loosing any semblance of a mind you had over a small infant, strapped to their mother's back by a wrap of some sort. The babe smiled at your reaction, letting out a small cascade of giggles that had you squealing in pure joy.
That was it.
The answer was right there! How could he have been so blind?! It was right there. If he gave you a baby, his baby no less, you would have no choice but to remain dormant. You would have to stay right where he put you to not only protect yourself, but to your protect your child. He had no doubt you would do it. You were too kind, too naive, for any other option. Once you figured out you were carrying his child, you'd fall for thing, claiming it as your own before it was any bigger than an apple seed.
And from then on it would just be a matter of formalities. You'd be his for the rest of your lives.
Exactly what he wanted.
Exactly what had led up to this moment. You were nothing but a babbling, crying mess underneath of him, pulling at the roots of his hair as he folded your legs against your chest. You were pleading with him, some mindless demand that he wasn't even sure you knew what you were asking, but it was background noise. He was too focused on watching the way he disappearing into your cunt, a milky sheen coating the shaft of his cock as heavy dollops of past loads dripped past your gaping opening. It was mesmerizing the way your body reacted to him, sucking him in and fighting him every time he pulled out. Even on an unconscious level, you ached for him. Not nearly as much as he breathed for you, but that would come with time. He knew it would. He'd ensure it.
The cry of his name on your lips had the coil in his gut steadily tightening as his pace picked up, thoroughly hammering your insides. He needed to make sure he was prodded right against your cervix for this to work. He needed to get this right. He needed to father any and all of your children. Starting here and now.
Whether you knew about it or not.
You had babbled something about him pulling out too long ago, but he had...distracted you with long laps at your clit and soft nipples along your thighs. He didn't even think of truly ruining you until you were clenching your thighs around his head and drenching his bottom jaw, too gone to properly process anything going on around you.
And he'd keep it that way.
His thumb, rough and calloused, rubbed harsh little circles into your clit, feeling it pulse in time with his ministrations. You whimpered beneath him, chest arching up to push against his own as you cried out, squeezing around him. You were positively milking him for every drop he had to offer.
There was no way you didn't want his children. Not with the way you were clenching around him as he jutted as far as he could go, filling your womb once more. You laid boneless beneath him, hands dropping to hang around his neck as he took a moment to breath. Your cunt spasmed once more and his cock twitched inside of you.
"You're not done yet, are you, Princess?" He purred into your ear, making it flicker as he rolled his hips against yours, even if overstimulation rocked his entire system in a flash of shot nerves.
None of that mattered to him. He had a mission. A mission he would do anything to accomplish.
Anything to keep you as his.
Yes, the reader was holding the Light Sword. Yes, I know that's not how you get it. I just thought it would be a cool tidbit bc YES, Sage seems like the type to get turned on by a hot princess threatening with a sword.

Love the way you wrote the Rauru fic! It’s amazing!
I wanted to ask, maybe a rauru x reader where reader loves flowers and her way of showing her deep love for Rauru is by making him flower crowns and tying flowers with meanings of love into his hair? I thought it would be cute and I believe you could do this idea so much Justice!
Flower Towers
It started off simple. You just gave him the flowers.
He was a bit confused but happy with anything you would give him.
He began keeping a book where he pressed the flowers so he’d never lose them.
It got a bit harder to press them when you began giving him crowns because he didn’t want to do any damage to the hard work you’d done but it would either wither away or he could keep it so keep it he did.
He found himself outside with you often and watched you work.
Soon enough it became instinct for him to kneel down and let you place the crown on his head without you even having to say a work.
One day he was studying one of the crowns you’d given him.
He brushed his fingers along it, careful not to break it.
As time went on he noticed a pattern that you had with the flowers, you often gave him the same type of flower, at least one consistent throughout almost all of the crowns.
He decided to find a book on flowers, just to figure out what they were and in doing so he found out so much more.
Oddly enough, he wasn’t shocked but a fondness warmed inside him.
He dedicated more time to figuring out flower meaning and how to construct one of the beautiful crowns.
One day he made one for you, after many horrific attempts and teasing laughter from Mineru as she was the one who finally managed to teach him how to make one without it breaking or looking awful.
He came up behind you, quiet as can be, and carefully placed the crown on your head.
The feeling of something tangling in your hair caused you to reach a hand up and when you did, you turned to see him.
He looked down at you with such fondness in his gaze and you carefully extracted the crown from your hair.
He locked the image of your eyes widening and the slightest hint of a flush coming to your face in his memory.
He then tilted your head up so you looked at him and kissed you softly.
Your book of pressed flowers was smaller but books didn’t have to be long, just important.

Thank you to every one of you that has joined me on this little journey. It really has kept me going and to know that people actually like my writing is bonkers to me. So, thank you, for everything.
Enjoy, you filthy animals <3
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
Her eyes glanced to the outside world, catching the oncoming storm. With a sigh, she stood and began to make her way through the palace. She didn't bother to check the throne room for him, only peeking her head in the study to see little Zelda and Mineru.
"There's a storm coming in. I'm going to go get him," She said simply, making Mineru frown as the young Hylian blinked. "Please make sure she stays safe?"
"I will. Are you sure though?" Mineru asked worriedly.
"I'm sure. Oh, don't worry, Zelda. Rauru…well…" She looked to Mineru. "How would you put it?"
Mineru smiled, looking at Zelda. "He's much more Zonai than I am. As a result, he does have more animal instincts than I do. He needs to go out and let them wild for a while so he can recenter his mind. The Grove of Spirits is perfect for that. Most people won't think to be near it, especially with how intense the storms can get out there."
"Fascinating. Could I–"
"No," Mineru said as Y/N said, "Absolutely not."
Y/N smiled sweetly. "It's not that he would harm you on purpose, but it's risky if he's too deep in his state."
"Which is why it's best for Y/N to go. She's skilled in managing it, but also, their bond allows for him to find her scent and follow it back to sanity," Mineru clarified.
"I see. In that case, please be careful. The storms are still rather intense, even in my era."
She smiled at that. "I will be. You know I've got the power," she joked before nodding. "I'll be back by morning."
No one ever knew how the Queen of Hyrule did it. How she managed to tame such a wild king. It was luck, she said. He would say it was fate.
She made her way to the grove, nodding to the guards and constructs along the way. The guards at the gateway straightened upon seeing her. "Your Highness," They greeted.
"At ease. Has he been in here then?" she asked, staring into the trees.
"Yes, Your Majesty," the one on her left said. "We've been hearing strange howls from within. Should we–"
She smiled and shook her head. "No, it's alright. It's all part of the process," she assured them. Hylians barely understood the Zonai people, regarding them all as gods. She was once among them, she admitted to herself. Though she had learned they were beasts in mortal form quickly.
"The storm is coming in soon. You two should go ahead and take shelter in the guardhouse."
"Your Highness?" the one on her right asked, earning a sweet smile from the queen before she went into the woods. "Should we really leave her alone?" He asked his comrade worriedly.
"Have faith in our queen," He chuckled, leading him to the guard house. "She wouldn't have said it if she didn't have full confidence in her own safety."
Y/N smiled at their fading voices as she made her way into the woods. Once she was deep enough, she sat on a fallen tree and simply waited. She let the breeze of the humid air grace over her as she breathed in deeply the trees and rain that began to pitter down.
She was a sight to behold, as Rauru often told her. Queen Y/N looked at ease among the trees, finding herself breathing in the cooling air and letting the breeze brush aside her hair as the rain dampened her white dress.
Once, Y/N had joked to him that she looked like a virgin sacrifice sent to appease the gods. Rauru had looked to her that time with a feral grin and said, "You certainly weren't by the time I was done with you."
She scolded him for the crude jokes, but it felt correct all the same.
Here she was like a maiden being sent to the beast. Only she was always a willing sacrifice to tame him.
"I know you're there," she sang almost tauntingly into the trees.
She could sense the eyes on her. She could practically feel the heat of his gaze as he watched from the trees, taking in her scent behind her. She knew she was downwind.
"You know, I am nearing my own cycle. It'd be a shame if someone were to plunge his heir into my womb." This earned a snarling growl as she stood, adjusting her dress. "Though, only those worthy enough could do that."
With that taunt, she bolted through the trees. Her heart hammered excitedly as she heard him moving quickly behind her, catching up fast. She knew escape was never an option, especially when he was like this.
It was why she giggled when he suddenly pinned her to the ground. She didn't mind the dirt scratching against the side of her face as her husband rutted against her rear before shoving up her dress. He kept her in place, holding her down with his foot as he readjusted his face behind her.
A long lick up her folds made her moan lowly, biting her lip as the tongue worked her up even more than she already was. The rain began to come down hard as if attempting to cool their heated skin as he began to eat her out.
Y/N let out soft moans and mewls, only adjusting so her chest wasn't uncomfortably twisted under him as he kept her in place. A snarl ripped from him upon her movement but she paid it no mind. He could snarl threats all he wanted, she was his and she was uncomfortable.
She almost taunted him for his snarl when he moved away from her, making her whine before she felt the tip slide against her. There was only a brief pause before it slammed into her desperately.
"Yes!" She moaned loudly, arching up as he adjusted, his hands on her hips as he began to thrust rapidly.
Y/N couldn't help the yelp of a moan when he pumped into her. She adjusted her legs, spreading herself over his thighs and biting her lip as his cock buried into her. His knot was so swollen from his neediness as it pressed against her puffy lips.
She moved so her back was against his chest, looking down to watch his balls stretch up to slap her clit as the Zonai continued to pump into her. Her hand reached back and tangled into his hair and she tugged as she moaned her pleasure, letting him ravish her body as he quickly yanked down the front of her dress.
The whole thing was bunched around her waistline as he cupped her breasts now, gripping and tugging at them like an animal trying to pluck fruit from a tree. She remarked once on how aggressive he was with them, to which he promised to massage them to make her milk pour out for him to taste.
She remembered how he latched on when their child wasn't already attached to her breast. How he drank deeply and made her moan loudly, as though she were feeding him instead! Though it didn't change how good his mouth made her feel.
"Rauru," She moaned, letting her head fall against his shoulder. She whimpered and reached down with her freehand, rubbing at her clit as the dirt beneath her knees soaked with both rain and her juices as he pumped rapidly into her.
It was as she clenched down on him, teetering near the edge, that Rauru's head began to clear. He smirked and reached up, gripping her throat now as he kissed at the shell of her ear. "My queen," He moaned before slamming hard into her.
Y/N let out a cry of pleasure as he pushed her over the edge, her juices slicking him almost entirely as he gripped her shoulder and shoved her down.
With a snarl, Rauru began to rut into her, looking down to watch her soaking his cock still and taking almost every inch.
Finally, he slammed into her, shoving his swollen knot in. He moaned as she took him easily, rolling his hips as his seed began to spill into her.
Y/N whined and moaned lewdly before she rocked back, impaling herself against him and milking him for every drop. A smile graced her lips as she looked over her shoulder at him.
"C'mon, my king. I know you can do more than just that."
Rauru grunted and hummed before gripping at her hair, tugging it roughly. "You sure you want that? Might have to make a second child in you then."
"You might," She hummed happily, rocking her hips before jolting when a rather loud crack of thunder echoed around them. "We should dip into that nearby cave once your knot reduces."

HELLO THERE!
I'm in love with your Rauru One-shots, so could I request one where Rauru tries to teach reader a dance because of the festival which is THE DAY AFTER?
(Of course they both are clumsy so here comes the cheesy stuff; both a falling on the ground and one of them ends up confessing 0w0 )
You can choose which one
THANK YOU AND HAVE A GREAT DAY <3
IM SOFT FOR THIS AAAAAA
Rauru x The Dance
<1000 words
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
“What do you mean ask–Sonia, he’s the king! He’s our king! We’re not close like that!” Y/N stammered out, practically vibrating from embarrassment as her friend snickered.
“Oh come on, what’s the harm in asking? What’s the worst he can really do?”
“Execute me.”
“Yes, Rauru will execute you. Really? You think so little of him?” She taunted, making Y/N balk at the accusation.  “You are close like that. Just ask him. He’d be happy to help you.”
Y/N groaned as she looked down at her stilled hands. She’d been helping with the last-minute floral arrangements for the festival that she needed to dance at. Something she could never master herself.
“What if…he says no, though?” She muttered, stroking her thumb over the amaranth petals. “What if he’s disgusted by the idea?”
“I doubt that. Just trust me.”
Hours had passed as the sun set, the chime of the Temple of Time echoing throughout the Garden of Time as she made her way to the meeting place. She was dear friends with the king of Hyrule, having spent much of her time helping him with relations with the people across the land. So far, they’d secured an allyship with the Zora people and the Gorons! All the same, however, she mostly tried to keep it professional despite the king’s insistence that it was more than just working together.
“Y/N!” He perked as he looked away from his sister’s book. Mineru smiled and waved at her as he walked to her. “Preparations going well?”
“Yes, Sire. Every–” His hand went up, eyes looking to her pleadingly. She sighed. “Yes, Rauru. Everything’s set for tomorrow.”
“Incredible. You’re a lifesaver, Y/N. Hopefully, this banquet will go off without a hitch. A wonderful idea to use the festival as a way to ask the Zora and Goron leaders to celebrate our companionship,” He praised.
She flushed and looked away, taking a slow breath. “Just ask,” She whispered to herself.
Mineru’s ear perked at that as she looked to her hopefully, praying to Hylia above that the woman would take a leap of faith.
“There’s the uh, dance. The one you asked me to be a part of,” Y/N said slowly. “Uh…Rauru, I can’t dance.” She spat out quickly. “Help me, please!”
“Alright!” He chuckled, unaware of his sister quietly slipping away to mask her laughter. She was more than aware of what nonsense would transpire.
Y/N went red at that, staring at him in shock. She didn’t look a gift horse in the mouth though and followed him to the center of the room.
“Sorry for the lack of music. I could get a construct and–”
“Please. I’d rather no one else see me make a fool of myself,” She whispered.
He blinked as he watched her staring at their feet with a face so red he could see it on her ears. He smiled at the Hylian as he waited for her to calm down. After a long while, she looked up at him, confused and humiliated.
“There you are,” He teased. “You should always look to your partner for guidance.”
Her little squeak confused and delighted him as she tried to look away nervously but kept refocusing on him…barely.
He smiled and counted the beat, beginning to lead her. She kept muttering apologies when her smaller feet managed to find his own. He hummed and smiled.
“I have an idea. Why not stand on my feet? You’re not used to dancing so it might give you a chance to learn the movements through me.”
Y/N felt her spirit leave her body at this. The suggestion alone startled her enough to stumble back. Rauru quickly moved to catch her but the sudden drop to her level made him lose his balance and he’d fallen on top of her, only able to shield her head to make sure she wouldn’t get hurt.
They both froze before Rauru smiled down at her. “Are you alright?”
Y/N gulped, watching him before muttering, “I think I’m in love with you.”
“You are?!” Rauru asked, balking. She paled and he quickly stammered, “No, no! I mean, I feel the same. I uhh…” He cleared his throat as he moved her until she was sitting. “I mean to say I wanted to confess at the festival but this is as good of a time as ever.” He looked to her. “I’d…like to court you properly, Y/N.”
At that moment, Y/N knew she’d died and passed on to the Sacred Realm or something of the sort because there was no real way this was happening. There was no way that her dear friend, the king of her people, was asking to court her.
“S-Sire–” At the disapproving groan, she corrected to, “Rauru, I mean, think about it. What you’re asking is…It doesn’t just go away. What if you end up hating me? I’m just your counselor basically.”
“Much like a wife is,” He joked, making her blush more. “I’m teasing. I’d love to have you by my side, Y/N. It’s why I’m asking this though. I want to take slow steps with you. I don’t want to ruin this because I care for you deeply.” He gently cupped her face. “May I…try?”
Y/N gulped and nodded. “I’d…like that. But could you maybe get off of me first?”
“Right! Sorry!”

A Glimpse of the Past
Chapter One
Master List
Tumblr media
Tags: 1.3k words, eventual Rauru x Reader x Sonia, sheikah!reader
You’d been there less than a week, only came to the castle a mere day ago. Having to travel on foot took longer than the travel function you’d grown a bit used to through Purah’s testing, trying to recreate the Sheikah Slate’s functions with her own flair.
You missed her. You missed her a lot. You dragged your fingers along the goggles she’d made for you. You counted the grooves and ridges. You grounded yourself with the reminder, reminder that she was real.
Why was it so hard to remember? You’d been here for less than a week. Less than a week and you were already questioning if your life had been a dream or if this time was. You knew that the years you’d spent on the Hyrule you knew were real. You knew it but even then, when you were there, some days you still woke and questioned if everything that happened had happened.
You sighed and carefully placed the goggles against the bun of your hair. It was a dead give away that you didn’t belong here but you couldn’t say you passed well anyhow.
You weren’t Zelda with her blank canvas skin and her common features.
You stuck out, even in modern day. Your hair was stark white. Among these people the only ones with white hair were Rauru and Mineru, two people from the sky. Your eyes were red. Not a single person you’d come across this far had similarly colored eyes. On your forehead you had a red eye tattooed. That was probably even less common than the other two.
You were used to being gawked at though. It didn’t bother you like it used to.
Your first order of business was to find Zelda. It was easy, really. She was where you expected her to be so early in the day, outside in a small picnic like set up not far from your rooms.
She was already talking animatedly with Sonia. You could hear her voice carry as soon as you stepped within eyesight of the area though not with a yell and merely passion even if you couldn’t understand her words until you got closer. Sonia sat in front of her with a teacup cupped in her hands, hanging onto every word as Rauru did the same.
“Ah, actually, I do believe you’d be more qualified to speak on this topic,” Zelda said as you sat beside her.
“What topic?”
“The Sheikah Shrines, you did go back to look at them before they stopped functioning, correct?” she asked.
You rolled a berry between your fingers. “Yes, but what part do you want to be elaborated on?”
“Well, there were so many things, I wouldn’t know where to start. You got the first had accounts while they were operative, after all. I just got a look for the exterior, you saw the inside.”
You chewed the berry for a moment longer than necessary as you thought of a way to explain.
“Before the Purah Pad, there was the Sheikah Slate. It was created by my people long before we were even thought of. It— like the Purah Pad— had a map and travel function but it’s main operation for these functions were the shrines,” you began before you launched into a far too lengthy explanation.
Regardless, you weren’t stopped. In fact, the duo asked several questions despite it being clear that they were following, they didn’t exactly understand. They were trying too, though. It was sweet. It was also something you’d never experienced before.
The thing is, you didn’t have many friends, even before the Calamity came and killed so many.
You had some fleeting friends as a child but it wasn’t until you started to learn fighting techniques that you found a friend in Impa. She was the first person to truly understand you on any level. Of course, with Impa, Purah soon followed. The two of you because quick fast friends and the same was said with Robbie.
You started out as a guard for the research facilities. You picked up on many things from Purah and Robbie. You also met Zelda while you were doing that job. With Zelda constantly sneaking in you two developed some sort of comradery. You’d give some remark of what a nice day it was as she tried to sneak in and she’d halt before sighing and walking head up and back straight into the lab.
You only became closer to Link after he woke.
Things had happened, many things had happened, in those hundred years between including more than a handful of half successful experiments that you happened to be in the room for thus experienced the backlash for. He also lost his memory, then regained it.
He came to the lab on more than one occasion with half memories and more questions than you’d had time for at that moment. Then the Calamity ended and things seemed to go back to something reminiscent of what it was before but a bit different, a little changed.
You got to see Robbie again. You didn’t just hover and ask questions, you took an active role in the experimentation and creation of things.
Still, in the more than a century you’d had under your belt, you’d never had this. You’d never had someone actively seek to understand something you liked much less were passionate about without some reasoning behind it and yet they did. It was nice, really nice.
“And those goggles,” Sonia said, “they seem to be made of the same material as the Purah Pad, correct? What is it they do?”
Your hand drifted upward to touch them. You hesitated for a moment before you removed them.
“I could tell you,” you said as you stood and walked over to her, “or I could show you?”
You stretched the goggles out towards her with a questioning look. She smiled and turned towards you with a small nod. You placed the goggles over her eyes and adjusted the straps so it didn’t tug on her hair.
She must have had her eyes closed because she very suddenly reached for Rauru’s arm to orient herself.
“This is certainly new,” she said, the blue glow moving with her eyes.
She looked at you for a moment, then Zelda. When her attention went to Rauru she sighed. “You have— oh, let me just get it,” she said before she reached towards his face and pulled the smallest bit of grass off him.
He touched the spot she had softly and a small, mostly closed lipped smile (though despite his efforts you could see the barest hint of teeth poking through) graces his face. He looked over at you briefly with that fondness and you found yourself freezing.
“Well, it is a different way to perceive the world,” she said. “Though perhaps I’ve had enough for now.”
You shook yourself out of your stupor and took the goggles off Sonia’s face. Now she smiled at you.
“Thank you for the experience,” she said as she placed a hand on your forearm.
“It’s not a problem at all,” you said, not exactly waving her off but definitely putting your focus on fixing the straps of your goggles to fit your head before you placed it back where it had been.
“Perhaps it would be beneficial if you could share your knowledge with Mineru,” Rauru said. “It would help her better understand the functions of your Purah Pad and she is often looking for new ideas, combining your skills could result in these. Of course, that is if you wish to.”
“It isn’t a bad idea,” you said simply.

The Greatest Cost. Rauru x F!Reader Angst Fic
Okay so this is based on what happens in the game as well but here's just a short story of Rauru on losing Y/N.
Triggers: Uh death and spoilers!
He clenched his jaw as he clutched her cooling hand. Her face was relaxed now. One would never think she suffered such an awful murder.
The constructs worked carefully in cleaning and preparing her for the burial, mindful of the Zonai beside her as he watched her.
Ganondorf…he did this. In cold blood too.
It was his own fault, Rauru knew. He knew that his arrogance to keep Ganondorf’s allegiance led to this, his wife’s death.
He only hoped their child would someday forgive him for allowing such an awful thing to happen to their mother.
Though, with the Blood Moon radiating over Hyrule outside, he doubted there would ever be time to send out the information he needed to. He only prayed that they would be safe outside of their newfound country.
“A new land for us to grow,” Y/N had once said as she walked out through the huge plateau they’d made their home. “Not just here either. We could expand outward. The Gorons are lovely people, despite their headstrong nature.”
Her laugh was one he could never indulge in again.
Her lips would never turn up again into a smile.
Her eyes wouldn’t glimmer with adoration.
She was dead.
Ganondorf had killed her and–
“King Rauru?”
His ears twitched as he turned his head, seeing Zelda looking to him mournfully. Mineru stepped in slowly and gaped in shock before her jaw snapped closed as she looked to her brother.
“I want to be alone,” He said simply.
Zelda nodded and looked to Mineru. The Zonai woman sighed and approached, squeezing his shoulder tightly before stepping away and leaving him alone, ordering the constructs to follow as they’d finished their job.
The princess from a future era closed the doors, leaving him alone with her body.
He closed his eyes as he rested his closed third eye against the back of her hand.
“So this is Zonai magic?” She’d asked curiously as she turned the secret stone in her palm, raising it against the sunlight.
Rauru had smiled and shook his head. “Not magic. Technology. Think of it as an amplifier. You have incredible magic over time and this might help to empower it.”
“I doubt I’d need the ability to remember something amplified,” She teased before nodding. “Are you sure though?”
“I am. I trust you, Y/N.”
Her cheeks flushed as she looked down at it. “Careful. That sounds like a marriage proposal.”
“It…could be,” He said, cupping her palm in his hands. “But, it’d mean more than marrying me. You would become my queen, both in title, and in other things.”
“I thought I already was,” She chuckled, pulling him close and kissing him. “I love you Rauru.”
“I love you so much, Y/N,” He whispered as tears fell onto her cold hand. He finally let himself weep as he held her hand, knowing he would do everything to avenge her.
