Ewww , ugly uncanny Valley feet .no wonder Sega made a mandate forbidding showing the sonic characters barefoot. Gross.🤢

SEGA/Sonic Team actually do have a canon design for the feet. I used to hate it, but over time (after doing character references for my own OCs, lols) I gained a new appreciation for them, especially since they help with getting shoes on in place easier.

Here's all the official art of the characters with their actual feet:

A really nice long shot from actually ugly-looking human feet, no?

They also fit a lot better than trying to insert paws onto the characters, and the design doesn't take away too much from the simplistic designs. Sometimes, not everything needs to have many details as possible.

rouge trying to persuade silver to travel back in time so she can steal something

tails working with the chaotix and being friends with charmy

knuckles and blaze sipping tea and talking about the hardships/values of guarding ancestral emeralds

omega and vector playing volleyball and barbecuing together when the whole gang hits the beach after defeating eggman

amy enlisting espio to help teach her the basics of being a ninja
