It’s been a lifelong dream to travel and to be the next #gordonparks ☺️ I have taken many pictures and have lost just as many. Sometimes I direct a shot many times it’s spontaneous. It’s an eclectic mix for sure! I am still finding my niche. I’m sure if I continue it may or may not surface. @l.e.c._42 Lorraine tells me I should post more and ask for feedbacks. What was good, what was bad and pointers for getting better. She thinks I’m pretty awesome about the photos I take. Me, I think I’m not great at this. There are many more disappointing shots than there are good shots. I will say I never stop taking photos. There’s a joy that overwhelms me when I pickup my camera(s)or my phone. It could be a quiet calm or chaotic mess. Sigha, Metabolism (Token, 2017)

(Reviewed for Midnight Shift, Singapore) What is Sigha searching for? His second album, Metabolism, bears the hallmark of a musician striving to find a higher meaning in techno's melodic possibilities. He has realised some stunning tracks recently, such as last year's "Christ Figures" (Token 63), and he continues to blossom on this album, released on the Belgian label, Token, which he shares with fellow Brits Ø [Phase] and Inigo Kennedy, who book-end his sonic explorations perfectly. The techno heard here is not just the soundtrack to sex and drugs and afterparties, although Sigha makes such blissed-out offerings on some of these tracks that the profane is bound to mix with the sacred. Something larger is at play, some higher order. Techno is the music that gives clubs their cultural value, the cross on which everything else is nailed. When it is done well, it offers dancers an alternative universe to play in, outside of time, in heterotopic bliss, dancing as if they believe that there something more to be discovered. Hidden in the spaces between the pounding kick drum and the delicate, droning chords there's something special that draws the dancers who pay attention beyond nightclub hedonism to a dimension that some consider spiritual. This is where we find Sigha at his best, searching in that void, filling it with beautiful sounds. There are questions lying dormant in these tracks, paths that weren't followed, sounds that seem to rub a different direction to the track, needing to be buffed back. This is no accident. It keeps us alert, wondering what will drop in next. None of this music is predictable. It moves in mysterious ways. The album straddles both ambient and driving techno. The first few tracks meander graciously through a soft psychic landscape, teasing our emotions, asking questions without insisting. But it is when Sigha takes control and pounds his way forward from the track "Stabbing" that real epiphanies are heard like revelations in a banging warehouse set. Stumbling home in the morning glow from a night of extremes, it's Sigha's tracks you'll remember. "Strobing" is the pick of the album for me, with its abrupt start that takes off like a bullet-train of a DMT trip, mounting pressure arranged sublimely around two repeated chords until the searching ending, full of emotional charge with its fading notes echoing a sense of loss, offering a glimmer of hope of finding our way back if our faith is strong enough. "Strobing's" bleak driving force and subtle intensity is unsurpassed, but it is easy to imagine the track sharing a set with "Interior" or "Black Massing", where time dissolves and we are left facing the infinite. This is innovative music that continues to explore the frontiers of the genre. For lovers of intelligent techno, this album is a real gem.
