Flufftober 2022 Drabbles Ch.15 Accidents Don't Just Happen Accidentally
[Don't actually know where I was going with this one.]
Grey's Anatomy Meredith Grey x Addison Montgomery
Chapter 15 Accidents Don't Just Happen Accidentally
It seemed like everywhere that Meredith turned at the hospital Addison was recently. No matter whose service she was put on. What floor she was working on. When she took her lunch. Addison was there. She was pretty sure that at this point that Cristina had a bet going with Alex on how much longer it could go on before she snapped at the redhead.
It turned out to be not that much longer. It was only Wednesday and Meredith had been on shift for eight hours already. She was tired from working more shifts than she cared to admit, as well as trying to avoid the redhead. It felt like she was playing some obscure game with her. As every time she would turn a corner and see the woman. Addison would turn away and talk to someone else as if she hadn’t seen the blonde. Or was actually supposed to be there. To the point even Meredith wasn’t sure if these accidental crossings in corridors, canteens, lifts, etc. had only been just that rather than the redhead following her around the hospital.
That was until she walked around the corner and bumped into an object. Feeling as hot liquid spread through her scrubs. Automatically grabbing at her top to pull it away from her skin, wafting it some to try and cool down the liquid.
“I am so sorry” looking up to see who was apologizing for spilling their drink down her Meredith came eye to eye with Addison. “I am so sorry I didn’t mean to spill these on you”. Looking down at Addison’s hands she saw her holding two paper cups from the canteen.
“It’s not exactly an accident Addison when you’ve been following me around the hospital for weeks!” Meredith watched as Addison flushed red with embarrassment.
“Well I didn’t actually mean to spill these on you” Addison looked down at the cups “I just bought you a hot chocolate as you appeared to need good juju today” Flushing further whilst looking at Meredith’s top “you really need good juju now”.
Meredith tried not to laugh looking at the puppy dog eyes Addison was giving her.

Chapter One
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
― Maya Angelou
—
Addison growled with the pain of the headache that hit her. There was a deafening sound in her ears and the taste in her mouth was of lipstick and booze. Tequila and a hint of lime. Quickly, the flash of memories invaded her brain, making her head pound a little. She sat on the bed, one that wasn’t her own but she’d been sleeping for the past days.
The concept of hotels was something she could honestly appreciate. Having someone make your bed, cook for you and call you in the morning to wake you up, even if for a fee, was worth every expensive penny she paid for it. Addison had come from money, even before she became a doctor. Her parents were old money people with country club Sunday brunches and golf association participation. As a teenager she’d taken all the classes that would turn her into the perfect young bride, a model of housewife like her mother. But nobody was really that unhappy with Addison’s choice into medicine. It was a pristine career, even with the long hours. But mostly that was because her family loved Derek.
They were charmed by him from the start and the fact both of them were to become the perfect doctors couple, well that was everything Bizzy and the Captain had hoped for their Addie. A dream life of her own–imagined by them. Of course, there was still pressure to be a doctor and a good wife and, hopefully soon, to become a mother. But that was off the bet now with how things had unfolded.
She hadn’t told Bizzy or the Captain, not even her brother, about Derek cheating or about coming to Seattle–like she wouldn’t be telling them about the blonde lying beside her on the five-star hotel bed. Some things were just better left unsaid. Of course they wouldn’t need to find out about Meredith, it was a one night thing, but certainly the fact she wasn’t with Derek or in New York anymore would eventually come to bite her in the ass. She would enjoy all the time she had until then.
The ring of the phone stirred the woman beside her and Addison quickly reached over her to pick up the receiver. On the other side, the receptionist announced the time and that she was calling upon the request to be woken up the day before. Addison cursed mentally for placing the request in the first place but out loud she thanked her. She asked about breakfast and Addison confirmed and added “for two please” and hung up. Rolling back on the bed, she laid on her stomach and sighed. Her eyes were drifting closed when the blonde sat up next to her.
“What time is it?” Meredith asked mid yawn and Addison opened her eyes again. There was a blue aura of moonlight coming from the window outlining Meredith’s silhouette. She held her hand over her chest, keeping the sheets over her breasts. Her back was bare and there were very few thin red lines left behind the night before by Addison’s fingernails.
“Five am.”
They had left the bar around eleven and rolled in bed, a wild mass of limbs until about  two in the morning. It wasn’t exactly ideal to go to work, on her first day at the new job, with only three hours of sleep, but Addison had done longer shifts in her life. She wasn’t going to be shaken by it. Besides, she felt more refreshed than not with the sex from the previous night.
“I have to be at work, sorry it woke you. Feel free to stay in.” Addison closed her eyes again, she needed one more moment with the pillow. Just five more. Truth was, she wasn’t really used to the aftermath of casual sex. She wasn’t even used to casual sex. She’d been married for ten years and before that her college flings were all over before the next day. But she figure there was no point in trying to be an asshole and kick the blonde out. “I asked them to send up breakfast.”
“Won’t your husband be upset you’re letting a woman stay in your hotel room?”

I just finished the first draft of my multi-chapter Meredith/Addison fic. It's 25,000 words, and even though that's not a lot for a fanfiction story, it's the longest thing I've ever written. I know there are parts in there I'll have to completely rewrite and a lot of things need to be altered, but once that's done I can start posting it!
I don't usually stick to things and I give up when something else comes along, so this is huge for me! I have plans for a sequel and we'll see if that ever happens, but the fic is fine without one.
The kind of funny thing is that I should have been working on my bachelor's thesis and wrote this instead 😅😅 whoops

Fanfic hunt, Act One:
I am now in the possession of over 15,000 archived Grey's Anatomy fanfictions from ff.net because I am being haunted by an old meradd fic and will now scour EVERY single file if I have to, in order to find it.
I may start cataloguing it if I'm obsessed long enough, it might be a long process.
If you remember any titles and/or authors that used to write meradd/meddison fics, please comment!
And if you remember the title and/or author for other Grey's ships that used to have works up on ff.net, feel free to comment too! I might be able to find works for you.

meredith and addison are wedding planning but one major issue arises which leads them to disagree.
aka the one where both meredith and addison have terrible fathers
-
"You are being unreasonable!" Meredith whisper-shouted, jumping off the bed and knocking half the paper off at the same time, "I said it first so I get him."
"We aren't playing dibs," Addison laughed as Meredith picked up the paper on the floor, putting it back down on the bed. Addison quickly leaned over and sorted it out again.
"Only because you lost," she argued.
"Your argument is about as well-reasoned as Bailey's," Addison argued back.

Addison took the final hairpin from between her teeth and pushed it into place, taking a step back from the full-length mirror to take in her finished appearance. Her hands glided down her sides following the curve of her body, feeling the silky material of the dress under her fingertips. The dress was a new purchase for the occasion - that admittedly cost almost the same price as a small car - it was a deep red dress that fell to the floor and flattered all of her curves perfectly. A slit ran high up one leg, stopping just before the top of her thigh and it had a deep plunging neckline that showed off her cleavage. Her red hair was pulled un into a loose bun held in place with the pins and two stands hung down on either side of her face, framing her features. It had taken her hours to get ready but she knew it would be worth it and she always loved an excuse to go all out.
Tonight was her six month anniversary with Meredith. It was still hard for her to believe that they were already married six months. If someone had told her that she would end up celebrating her wedding anniversary with Meredith Grey when she first arrived in Seattle she would never have believed them. Looking back at where their relationship started it certainly had been a whirlwind but no matter how bad things had been in the past every second together since they admitted their feelings for each other made the rough patch at the beginning of their relationship worth it. Addison had never been happier than she was with Meredith and she wouldn't trade their life together for anything.
This hadn't been the original plan for their anniversary, originally they were going to go out for the night with dinner at Addison's favourite fancy restaurant in town but as always, the surgeon's lifestyle simply didn't allow for it. Meredith ended up scheduled to work the whole day and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't trade her shift off onto somebody else with all of her friends already working the same hours. So they had compromised instead, they went to dinner earlier in the week when they both had the afternoon off and now they were going to spend the rest of the night together at the house.
The sound of the front door swinging open downstairs followed by the familiar tap of high heels on the hardwood floors echoed up the stairs. Addison smirked to herself, Meredith was finally home. She took one final look in the mirror before turning away from it.
"Addie? Are you here?" Meredith called out from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'm here, just a second sweetheart!" Addison slipped on the final piece of her look, the signature six-inch black stiletto heels and grabbed a box off the dresser. It was a long, slim, black box with a red ribbon wrapped around it. The anniversary gift she saved for tonight.
Addison made her way downstairs taking her time with each step just to put on a show for Meredith. Once she reached the bottom she was greeted with her staring up at her in awe. Her eyes raked over the outfit as she took in the sight of her wife in front of her. Meredith had dressed up for the occasion too, taking the time to put in the effort even with her long shift. She was wearing a mid-length, skin-tight black dress that she knew Addison adored on her. She had made sure to tell her on multiple occasions. Her hair was curled perfectly and hung loosely over her shoulders. It was never easy to dress up in the limited space of the resident's lounge but she had pulled it off perfectly.
"You look stunning." Meredith grinned pulling Addison in towards her by her waist. Addison collided with her chest and she wrapped her arms around her fully, holding her hand on the small of her back.
"I have to say you look rather gorgeous too." Addison teased leaning down to press a chaste kiss to her lips before detangling herself from her arms.
Meredith let out a slight whine at how quickly she pulled away from her touch, reaching out to grasp for her arms to try and pull her in again. Addison simply took a casual step back just out of her reach and shushed her. She closely watched the way Meredith reacted to her display of control over the situation, she could see that familiar look of excitement settling in her eyes.
"You have to open your gift first," Addison stated firmly as she reached behind her to grab the box from the table she had placed it on when she came downstairs. She waited for Meredith to hold out her hands in front of her, glancing up at her with a curious expression, before she placed it in her open palms.
Meredith pulled on the ribbon and let it fall away to the floor before she carefully removed the lid from the box. The inside of the box was a deep purple, plush velvety type covering and sitting atop it was a necklace.  It was beautiful. Meredith had never been huge on jewellery but this fit her style perfectly. It was a thin silver necklace that was covered in diamonds that caught the light, sparkling in Meredith's hand as she picked it out of the box.
"Addison I love it." Meredith gasped looking up with wide eyes at her wife who simply smiled back at her.
"I'm glad you like it," Addison said as she swiftly moved behind Meredith and brushed her hair away from her neck, her fingers lingering across the nape of her neck for a moment. Meredith had to force herself to focus as the gentle touch sent sparks down her spine that made her body shiver as she imagined what else those soft fingertips could do. Addison took the necklace from her hands and slipped it around her neck, fastening the clasp and finally stepping back to admire it on her. "Beautiful.
Addison noticed Meredith's expression change as she pulled away. Her smile faltered and she seemed to have an almost disappointed look. She worried for a moment but then she caught that same playful look in her eyes again and she was certain this was all part of a plan.
"What is it, sweetheart?" She asked softly, putting on he best caring and worried voice as she played into whatever game she was starting.
"Well, it's just-" Meredith let out a sigh then, dropping her eyes to the ground for extra dramatic effect before she continued. "I'd rather have your hands around my throat but the necklace will do."
There it was. The comment Addison had been waiting for, she knew her wife well enough to know what she liked and when she was in the mood to tease her to get what she wanted. Addison tsked at her comment and reached out catching her chin in her hand, jerking her face up so their eyes met. She could see in her eyes that she was trying to hide the grin that was threatening to break out across her face. This was exactly what she wanted.
"So that's how you want to celebrate tonight is it?" Addison took another step towards her bringing them even closer together, breathing in each other's air. She kept her voice steady as she spoke not letting her own excitement betray her. Secretly she'd been hoping this was how their night would turn out.
Meredith nodded in response, not trusting her own voice as her eyes fluttered close when Addison slid her hand down from her chin to the front of her throat. Her hand simply rested there, feeling Meredith's breath catch in her throat and her pulse thrumming against her fingers with the anticipation of what she would do next. Addison held all of the power in this situation and it turned her on more than anything. She smirked to herself and dropped her hand to her side, deciding to have some fun of her own. Meredith's eyes snapped open and she opened her mouth to protest but she only managed to make a small noise in the back of her throat before Addison put her finger against her own lips signally for her not to argue with her. Meredith closed her mouth obediently.
"What makes you think you deserve to have all that fun tonight?" Addison questioned, easily falling into the dominant and controlling role she knew Meredith wanted.
"I promise I'll be good." Meredith nodded quickly, her voice ever so slightly breathy as she spoke. She looked up at Addison through her lashes with those big puppy dog eyes. "I just want to make you feel good to celebrate our anniversary."
"Well, when you ask so nicely." She pulled Meredith towards her again and kissed her. It was desperate and needy, a sharp contrast to their first kiss of the night. Meredith ran her tongue along Addison's lips begging her to open her mouth but Addison was in complete control. She ran her tongue along Meredith's when she finally opened her lips, deepening the kiss even further. It was a heady feeling that drove her crazy, she needed more of it and she needed it now. "I think I can make that work. What do you say we go upstairs?"
"Yes." Meredith blurted the word out faster than she meant to but after the taste of what was to come, she couldn't help herself. Addison just chuckled at her response and stepped away from her, gesturing for her to walk ahead of her. Meredith stole glanced over her shoulder at her wife as she followed closely behind her up the stairs. Once they were inside the bedroom Addison closed the door firmly behind them. She paused for a moment, leaning back against the door as she watched Meredith make her way towards the bed. She stopped just in front of the bed waiting for Addison to join her. She walked forwards and lightly pushed on her shoulders, pushing her down so she was sitting on the edge of the bed. Watching, waiting for her next move.
After the stressful day she'd had at work, Meredith needed this. She'd been in control of so much at work, the actions of her interns, the health of her patients that she needed to let go of all of the control now. Being completely at Addison's mercy while she took control of the situation was exhilarating. They'd experimented with switching roles when it came to this kind of sex before to see what they preferred but Meredith always preferred being on the receiving end. Addison leaned down so her mouth was right next to her ear before she spoke again and she couldn't tear her eyes away from her chest.
"Now be a good girl for me." She slowly trailed her hand up Meredith's side, over her arms and chest before she returned it to its previous position on her throat. This time she gave her exactly what she wanted. She tightened her grip and Meredith gasped at the sensation, humming contently once she loosened her grip again. "And I promise I'll reward you."
"What do you want?" Meredith asked letting her hands settle on her waist while her eyes skimming over the exposed skin of her chest. Addison watched her carefully for a moment, seemingly considering what exactly it was that she wanted from Meredith. She could see the moment she decided as her eyes lit up and she grinned, stepping away from her. She tugged on the material of her dress and let it fall down her body. She was left standing in nothing but her matching red lingerie set, the same dark red as the dress she had been wearing. She always liked things to match.
"On your knees." Addison practically purred and that was all it took, Meredith complied without hesitation. She pulled Addison towards her and moved her to sit on the edge of the bed before dropping to her knees right in front of her. She caught a finger in Meredith's necklace and pulled it, forcing her to look up again. She nodded at her and twisted hands into her hair, letting her know she was ready. Meredith grasped the sides of her panties and took her time in pulling them down her long legs, stopping occasionally so she could press kisses against her thighs as the lacy material slid over them.
Once the panties reached her ankles Addison helped Meredith kick them off not caring where in the room they landed and then spread her legs further apart. There was something about the way she slowly moved her legs apart, exposing herself for her that drove her crazy. Addison pulled the pins out of her hair and tossed them onto the floor before leaning back onto her elbows, sprawling herself out against the bedsheet as she waited for Meredith to give her what she wanted. She couldn't wait any longer, dropping her head between her thighs to lick up along her slit before drawing her tongue around her clit in a teasing circle.  Addison gasped loudly at that, letting her head fall back as she did. Her red hair fanned out across the bed, a deep contrast to the white sheets. The gasps and moans that feel from Addison's mouth only served to boost Meredith's confidence. She settled into a rhyme of dragging her tongue down to tease around her entrance before lapping at her clit again.
After this long together Meredith had learned Addison's body, she knew exactly what she liked, exactly what would get her to that edge the quickest and what would tease her and drive her out of her mind until she couldn't form words anymore. Tonight though was all about her pleasing Addison. She picked up her pace and when she started to grasp at the sheets between her hands she finally let her tongue dip inside. Addison let out a loud moan then, her grip on Meredith's hair tightening as her nails scratched against her scalp.
"Feels so good Mer." She gasped, her words just ramblings as the pleasure took over her body. "You're being so good for me."
Addison's words of praise had her grinning against her skin. She loved hearing her try to string together sentences when her brain was this clouded, hearing the stuttering mess that she turned her into. Addison's breath started to speed up again, her muscles tensing under the delicate skin of her legs as she got closer to her orgasm. Sliding her hands against her thighs Meredith decided to finally add her fingers to the mix. She slowly slid in two fingers, stopping at the first knuckle just to tease her. Already she was whining, arching her hips off the bed to try and force her fingers deeper. Meredith held still for a moment making her work for it before she pushed them all the way in. She focused her mouth back on her clit, letting her lips around it before sucking. Addison moaned her name, bucking up to meet her face as she tried to get more. Everything was becoming too much and somehow not enough at the same time.
Meredith could tell how close she was to cumming, her body showing all the signs as she pinned her down to stop her from squirming out of her grasp. She slid a third finger in next to the two she was already thrusting in and out of her body. She crooked them against her g-spot with each forward thrust, Addison matching the movements with her hips.
"Right there, don't stop. You feel so good, sweetheart." Addison cried out, her voice breaking on the final word and Meredith adjusted her speed again. It wouldn't take much more now, she knew that. After another few well-time curls of her fingers, she felt Addison clench around her fingers as her back arched off the bed. She gasped out a strangled cry of Meredith's name as she came and slumped back against the bed.
"Now that," She laughed, it was a light sound as she panted trying to regain her breath. Her voice rasped her so slightly as she spoke, her throat scratched from her moans. "Was one hell of an anniversary gift."
"I'm glad you had fun because I sure did." Meredith chuckled against her stomach as she moved up the bed to lie down next to her. She ran her hand across her chest as it rose and fell rapidly, her heart beating hard against her fingertips. They lay together wrapped up in the content feeling as Addison started to gather her energy back after her orgasm. She stroked her fingers through Meredith's hair while her free hand wandered over her still clothed waist. She drew patterns against the material before throwing her leg over her waist.
Before Meredith even fully realised what was happening Addison crawled on top of her to straddle her hips. She leaned forward to kiss across the sensitive skin at the front of her throat. Her tongue darted out to soothe the path of kisses she left behind as she moved downwards, settling into the hollow of her throat to suck bruise against her pale skin. A brand she was sure everyone would see. Meredith arched her back up to meet Addison's body, her hands gripping onto her hips as she held her in place. There was something so insanely hot about Addison straddling her waist in nothing but her bra while she lay under her still fully clothed.
She let her hands start to wander up Addison's back, tracing her spine while Addison busied herself kissing and sucking at the exposed skin at her collarbones. She toyed the clasp of her bra between her fingers before she finally flicked it open. Addison sat up then to help pull the material down her arms, teasing Meredith as she went slowly exposing her skin bit by bit. As soon as it was off she buried her face in her chest pressing kisses between her breasts while her hands replaced the bra in covering them. She turned her attention to her nipples then, kissing, nipping and licking at them, taking her time with each one.
Addison lost herself in the feeling of it for a moment, letting Meredith do what she pleased as her own pleasure clouded her thoughts. Finally, she remembered what it was that she had intended to start. Her hands fell to her thighs and pushed them upwards, trailing her dress up with them until it sat bunched around her waist exposing a pair of matching black panties. Addison stared down at the sight in front of her, loving the sight of her wife like this. Meredith made the first move, reaching her hands down to try and pull off the panties but Addison brought a hand down across the back of her hand, smacking it away.
"I thought you said you were going to behave yourself?" She said cocking an eyebrow at her, that controlling tone from earlier back in her voice. Meredith whined at the teasing but quickly gave in, moving her hands up above her head to grab at the headboard instead. "Now that's a good girl."
Addison shifted herself down the bed, leaning down to kiss across Meredith's stomach and tights as she did. Tracing her path to what they both really wanted. Once her lips reached the satin edge of her panties she hooked her fingers into one side and took the other between her teeth, letting her teeth drag against her skin as she did. She pulled them off painstakingly slow, teasing her with feather-light touches to her legs as she went. When she finally pulled them off she quickly discarded them behind her not caring where they landed and ran her hands up the inside of her thighs, pushing them further apart. This was the part that she would normally draw out longer, savouring every minute as she made Meredith beg for her touch but tonight she needed this just as much as she did and she wasn't willing to wait any longer.
She leaned in and lapped her tongue across her slit, humming against her clit as she finally tasted her. It was intoxicating taste, it always and she was certain no matter how many times they did this it always would be. Meredith moved to drape her legs over her shoulder but Addison had another idea. Instead, she pinned her legs against the bed, holding her thighs wide open for her. She moved back to work then, setting a quick pace with her tongue flicking against her walls while her thumb rubbed tight circled around her clit. Meredith was gasping, her breath speeding up. It didn't take long for Meredith to find herself building towards a quick orgasm after already watching and feeling Addison fall apart under tongue and hands. Her whole body was strung tight and sensitive and every touch had her moaning louder and louder.
Addison could tell how close she was and all she wanted was to see her cum for her. She slowly withdrew her tongue, moving her mouth to kiss across her hips as she replaced it with her hand easily slipping in three fingers with no resistance. She leaned up to kiss Meredith, feeling her moan out against her lips as she tasted herself on her tongue that slipped into her mouth. Her body was close now, she could tell and she knew exactly what she needed to cum. She leaned in close to whisper in her ear while her fingertips stroked across her g-spot.
"You're taking it so well for me, such a good girl."  She cooed, her voice low as her lips brushed against the shell of her ear. "Cum for me, you look so beautiful when you do. I want to hear those pretty little noises."
The words of encouragement and praise were all it took. Meredith came with Addison's name on her lips followed by a string of curses as the aftershock made her body arch off the bed. Addison slowed her movements until she was just barely moving her fingers but didn't remove her hand until she was sure Meredith had finished orgasming, helping her ride out every second of it. Meredith collapse against the bed, her whole body still humming with the feeling and Addison joined her. She pulled her in close to her chest, brushing her hair away from where it had stuck to the sweaty skin of her forehead.
"Happy anniversary Meredith." She smiled down at her before placing a gentle kiss against her temple.
"Mmm, please tell me we can do this for every milestone we reach." Meredith teased burying her face against the crook of Addison's neck, not having the energy to move any further.
"Oh absolutely." Addison laughed as she rested her chin on the top of Meredith's head.

What did we do last night? (MG/AM)
FANDOM: Greys Anatomy
PAIRING: Meredith Grey/Addison Montgomery, past Meredith Grey/Derek Shepherd mentions, past Addison Montgomery/Derek Shepherd mentions, past Addison Montgomery/Mark Sloan mentions
RATING: T for Mature themes.
PART ONE OF ???
Waking up, Addison instantly regretted the amount of Tequila she had had to drink the night before. Still, drinking had felt better than not drinking. She and Derek had signed the divorce papers and yet somehow she had been convinced by Richard to stick around and give Seattle a go, even though her whole life had been in New York, her family, her everything had been left behind to chase Derek and he didn't want her. He wanted Meredith.
One thing that Addison did know, however, was that Meredith didn't want him. Sure, they had had a relationship before Addison had come to Seattle but Meredith had been betrayed by Derek's deceit. She had never wanted to be the other woman in a relationship and even hearing about what Addison had done hadn't changed the way that she felt about it. Addison had discovered this the night previously when the pair had started drinking together.
OH, GOD. They had been drinking together. Addison and Meredith had become friends last night. That was certain. Her bank balance would hate her for last night. She had bought drinks for the whole bar at some point, she was sure. She had bought all of Meredith's drinks for the whole night as well. Flashes of the night were coming back to her now. Drinking, talking, crying, kissing. Kissing?
One eye gently opened, closing at the brightness of the room around her. This was not the Archfield, that was for certain. Her room at the Archfield had blackout blinds, it was never this light because she never forgot to close them, it was a part of the routine of going to bed for her when she was there. So where was she? Who had she gone home with? And, most importantly, who had she kissed last night?
She didn't dare move, unsure she actually wanted the questions in her mind answered. Her patchy memories from the night before told her that she had been kissing a woman. It wasn't a surprise for her though. She had kissed plenty of women before she had married Derek, and at the beginning of their marriage, they had even bought women into their bedroom to spice things up. Still, she thought she had left that part of her life behind her after Derek and Mark.
Oh god. Mark. She was praying that she hadn't left Joes' with Mark. She didn't want to destroy his friendship with Derek again when they had just fixed it in the first place. The last thing she wanted to do was to destroy that friendship again. Therefore, as long as she wasn't in Mark Sloan's bed she would be happy. Anyone else would be preferable to her ex-husbands best friend, she had made that mistake before.
Shifting slightly in the bed, she became aware of the weight of an arm around her waist as a disgruntled groan made her aware that it was definitely not Mark Sloan that she had returned home with last night. The voice was definitely that of a woman. A woman that she knew, she just couldn't place why the voice was so familiar to her at that moment. She didn't know that many women in Seattle, she had to be mistaken.
Screwing her eyes shut for just a moment more, Addison pushed herself to sit up in bed, dreading finding out who was in the bed with her. She turned her head to look and quickly snapped back to look at the window. There was no way. She hadn't. She couldn't have. She wouldn't have, would she?
"Doctor Grey?" She murmured, hardly daring to believe that this was happening to her.
"Addie, we slept together, you might as well call me Meredith."
Addison Montgomery was screwed. She had slept with her ex-husbands ex-mistress. And she didn't regret it. Part of her wanted it to happen again.

Meddison, rated E, emotional sex post-18×03
It's funny how life works out sometimes, Meredith muses as she's standing in the kitchen of the home she once shared with her late husband, putting away ice cream toppings while said late husband’s ex-wife loads the dishwasher – despite Meredith insisting that as her guest, Addison absolutely didn't have to do that. Her kids are asleep, Amelia went to bed early because she has an early shift tomorrow, so it's just her and Addison moving wordlessly through the kitchen until everything has been put away and the countertops look semi-presentable again. At least until breakfast tomorrow morning.
“Wine?” Meredith asks once they're done, holding out a random bottle of red she picked from the rack. Addison smiles, and it sends waves of butterflies flying through her abdomen.
“Yes please.”
And it's just the right bit of insane, sitting here on her porch with Addison Forbes Montgomery of all people, wordlessly reminiscing about the past, to suddenly make Meredith realise that she doesn't just like the woman, she doesn't just want to be colleagues, friends, whatever else has been growing between them over the past decades, no. They've both lost so much; Meredith lost her husband but Addison lost him too, and Mark, and so many others are gone but they're here, she's here, the one consistent factor in Meredith’s life ever since she came walking into Seattle Grace with immaculate red curls and a shit-eating grin on her face and–
Meredith isn't sure who kisses whom first, just that their wine glasses end up on the ground and Addison's lips are almost unbearably soft as they finally, finally touch.

Flufftober 2022 Drabbles Ch.14 Truth or Dare/20 Questions
[Sorry that this got a little long as I got slightly carried away with it, I am also not so sure that I am very happy with the ending.]
Grey's Anatomy Meredith Grey x Addison Montgomery
Chapter 14 Truth or Dare/20 Questions
[High School/College AU] Addison was a couple of years older than Meredith. She couldn’t keep her eyes off her whenever she saw her pass in the corridor. Originally Meredith couldn’t stand the redhead, she came across as incredibly snobby and up herself. Which at first Meredith would state she couldn’t understand why. Then the blonde felt herself slowly starting to fall in love with the redhead. It started with a field trip where all three years of their college course had been taken on some team building escape. Meredith had spotted the redhead across the car park whilst they were being separated onto coaches. At first she felt the usual anger boil up, but then she noticed how the woman’s jeans fitted her just right. Hugging curves that Meredith hadn’t actually paid attention to before. Looking further down she noted that the woman was wearing boots that went almost to her knees, the already tall woman was wearing heels. The blonde flushed thinking about how much taller than her that would make the redhead. Skimming her eyes back up and over the jeans she further noticed that she was wearing a form hugging red jumper. Hidden slightly under a black leather jacket and a green scarf. Meredith watched as the woman crossed her arms over her chest. Looking up to Addison’s face, Meredith came eye to eye with a rather angry looking redhead. Making Meredith flush and quickly look away turning to continue her conversation with her friend Cristina who was looking at her weirdly.
These feelings continued to grow from this day onwards for Meredith. To the point she would purposely look for the redhead. Whether that be in the corridor, canteen, lecture halls when they’d mix year groups, everywhere that Meredith believed the redhead may be she would be looking for her. Unit things eventually came to a head. When Addison got fed up with being watched all the time. It was starting to become incredibly uncomfortable and with final exams coming up for the redhead she decided enough was enough. She needed to find out what was going on and put an end to it before she ended up failing her exams because she was focusing completely on why the blonde appeared to find her so fascinating. So on a warm summer’s day Addison finally caved, walking over to the blonde, grabbing her arm and dragging her into an empty classroom and locking the door behind them so that nobody could disturb them. Moving them both away from the door so they couldn’t be seen through the window.
“What’s going on?” Meredith’s quiet unsure voice just pushed Addison’s frustration at the situation higher.
“What’s going on? Seriously!” Addison watched Meredith’s face flush before she looked away from her. “What’s going on is that you keep staring at me and have done so for almost a year now and I want to know why”.
Addison watched as Meredith seemed to be retreating into her shell, building up walls quicker than Addison was even able to process them.
“No, I want the truth Meredith and I can see on your face it’s written all over it that you’re about to lie to me” Addison crossed her arms across her chest leaning back against a table. She watched as the blonde sagged in defeat.
“Fine” Meredith straightened up, imitating the posture of someone getting ready for a fight. “I find you attractive, everytime I see you…it just makes the day seem that bit better.” Addison watched Meredith’s face get a brighter red. “I’m aware you probably don’t think the same but…”
“Do you know how distracting you staring at me is?”
Meredith looked at the floor “I’m sorry”.
Addison felt sympathetic towards the blonde. “Well you could make it up to me” Addison watched Meredith look up at her in shock.
“How?”
“Date…you can take me on a date”
“What?” Addison was feeling more and more amused at the look on Meredith’s face.
“You…can…take…me…on…a…date…with…you…tonight…” by this stage Addison was smiling like a mad woman as Meredith looked more and more baffled by the second.
“But…how? What? You…” Addison started laughing, straightening up and walking towards the door, stopping before she unlocked it.
“I’ll meet you outside of the main building tonight say…” Addison checked her watch “seven?” Noticing Meredith was not going to respond Addison laughed, unlocking the door and walking out the room.
Meredith wasn’t entirely sure if this was a prank or not. Going back to her accommodation Meredith got ready for her…was she supposed to call this a date? With Addison. She hesitated about whether to actually go or not and the closer to the time that it came the more hesitant she became.
Checking her watch as she walked back towards the main building she realized she was early. Walking towards one of the benches outside she noticed the redhead sat with her legs crossed nervously bouncing her foot whilst looking down at her phone. Meredith slowly walked towards Addison.
“Addison?” Meredith watched as the redhead looked up sharply watching as a smile took over her face.
“Meredith” Addison breathily whispered before standing up, unsure of whether to hug Meredith or not. Hesitating after stepping towards the blonde. Meredith feeling calmer at seeing Addison’s nerves closed the gap pulling the redhead into a hug. Feeling the tension leave her body. “So where are we off to?”
At Addison’s question it was Meredith’s turn to freeze. She had forgotten that Addison had implied that she was to make the plans for the date. Moving back a bit Meredith awkwardly smiled up at the redhead.
“You haven’t planned anything have you?”
“No..no I have…it’s…a movie followed by…..a meal?” Meredith smirked at Addison thanking her quick thinking.
“What movie?”
“Erm..the new one?” Meredith continued. Addison started laughing at the blush covering Meredith’s face “okay so I haven’t actually thought…but I panicked okay…you did corner me unexpectedly”.
Addison stopped laughing and glared “that’s because you’d become a huge distraction and I need to be able to study to pass my exams”.
“I know I know, I wasn’t saying I wasn’t pleased to be asked on a date”.
With Addison’s smile back on her face Meredith tried again “so what do you say to my…impromptu plan?”
“I say…next date?” This was the time for Meredith to stop smiling.
“Have I ruined it already?”
“No, I just…maybe we should go somewhere we can get to know each other first?”
“Oh…definitely” Meredith paused, “where would you suggest?”
Meredith watched as Addison thought “bar?”
Meredith smiled nodding “bar”.
As they sat nursing their drinks Addison turned to Meredith “what do you say to a little game of truth or dare? To liven the night up a bit”
Meredith tilted her head to give Addison a stern look “do you worst Montgomery”.
Addison grinned “okay then, truth or dare Meredith?”
“Dare”
“Drink it in one” Addison nodded towards Meredith’s drink.
Meredith lifted the glass to her lips “easy” Addison watched as Meredith drank the entire pint glass with no difficulty. Trying not to look shocked. Slamming her glass onto the table Meredith met the redhead's eyes “so…truth or dare?”
Addison sat up straighter trying to ooze more confidence than she actually had right now “Dare”.
Meredith smirked “go order the most expensive bottle of champagne from the bar, once it’s been opened start drinking it directly from the bottle” Addison looked appalled before nodding and walking to the bar. Meredith sat back and watched as Addison did as she asked, trying her hardest not to laugh at the redhead. As she came back to sit at the table going to pour herself a glass Meredith stopped her with a hand on her wrist “no Addison you must continue to drink it only from the bottle” she watched as Addison was trying to think of an argument.
“But I’ve already completed the dare!” Addison looked more flushed as Meredith started laughing.
“I never actually said that once you had taken a sip at the bar that you could continue the bottle with a glass. I said that once it was opened you needed to drink it from the bottle” Addison grumbled continuing to sip.
“I don’t even like champagne anyway”
The evening continued with each dare getting more and more outrageous. As each woman seemed to forget that the game was actually truth or dare. Choosing to only request dares. Becoming more than tipsy they sat giggling opposite each other flushing with the effects of the alcohol. Addison hiccuped before addressing Meredith. “I have one more dare for you” Meredith looked up at Addison “yeah?”
Addison smiled lazily “yeah…I dare you to kiss me” Addison watched as Meredith seemed to sober suddenly. As Addison tried to backtrack on the dare, suddenly feeling more than sober herself Meredith came round to her side of the table. Tilting her chin up to look her in the eye before leaning down and kissing her.
Stepping back Meredith made eye contact with Addison again “dare complete?” Addison nodded dumbly before pulling Meredith back towards her again.

on the pursuit of happiness
by tragicallywicked
Summary:
Meredith and Addison are about to become mothers.
Notes:
I wanted to write something short and sweet with pregnant Addie after I rewatched the What If episode. But I had to make it Meddison, of course. It's set in sunny California where Meredith and Addison have moved a few years back and after turmoil they've come together to find happiness. The details of their before I leave up to your imagination ♡
The warm rays of the California sun streamed through the windows of their cozy Los Angeles home, casting a soft glow on the room. Meredith Grey, a talented and dedicated general surgery resident at St. Ambrose Hospital, sat at the kitchen counter, sipping her morning coffee. She couldn't help but smile as she watched her partner, Addison Montgomery, move about the kitchen with a slight waddle in her step.
Addison, now eight months pregnant, had taken on an extraordinary workload at Seaside Health and Wellness. As the director of multiple departments, aside from being their OB/GYN, maternal-fetal, neonatal surgeon, and medical geneticist, she carried immense responsibilities on her shoulders. It was a role that required her expertise and dedication, and she had always excelled in delivering exceptional care to her patients.
However, as her pregnancy progressed, Addison realized that managing such a demanding workload was becoming increasingly challenging. She knew that when the time came for her to take a maternity leave, she needed to ensure that her absence wouldn't compromise the quality of care provided by her team. So, she worked tirelessly, going above and beyond to prepare her colleagues and delegate tasks effectively, striving to create a seamless transition during her absence.
Addison shared her plans with Meredith, expressing her desire to have a true and fulfilling maternity leave, where she could fully focus on herself, their baby, and their growing family. She understood the importance of taking time off to rest and bond with their child, but deep down, she had her doubts. The weight of her responsibilities and her passion for medicine made her wonder if she could truly disconnect and step away completely.
Meredith, ever perceptive, saw the conflict within Addison. She recognized the dedication and drive that had propelled Addison to her professional success and understood the challenges she faced in finding a balance between her work and motherhood. Meredith knew that Addison was determined to excel in every aspect of her life, but she also knew that she needed support and reassurance. Addison didn't have to carry the weight of the world on her own shoulders. With Meredith's unwavering support and the incredible team she had built at Seaside Health and Wellness, she could trust that everything would be in capable hands while she focused on the joy and beauty of becoming a mother.
The mix of excitement and anxiety within Addison remained, but Meredith's presence and understanding helped soothe her worries.
Meredith stood up from her seat, coffee cup in hand, and made her way over to Addison. Wrapping her arms around her gently, she whispered, "Good morning, beautiful. How are you feeling today?"
