Soooo….I made some nationality headcannons! At first I was a liiittle bit unsure if to do so cuz then again.. they live in ninjago…. And im pretty sure countries like argentina or Morocco don’t quite exist in the ninjago universe LMAO. Butttttt. Already seen others make headcannons, so hell, why not? I uses they apply to some irl au or what if they lived in our world uk? And what different countries would I see them coming from and etc.

I can imagine that the EM might have travelled all over the world, either to go into hiding, or missions, or escape conflict, etc. Or maybe simply that’s where they came from! So yeah that’s my little explanation that is mostly for myself cuz im a little bit too literal sometimes lol.

When thinking about nationality I always think a lot about where they grew up and what nationality they grew up with and would later on identify with the most. It’s a complicated concept when your parents are from a different nationality and theyre immigrants in a different country- so you grow up in this country, surrounded by this culture and people, but your. Also. Raised by your parents who also have your family living in this completely different country- where you also find home and relate to the people considering how you look, the language you speak with your parents- or the specific culture and environment your parents grew up wiooith, impacting your home life and the way your raised. Perhaps you lived in both places, or travel a lot to your parents homeland. Perhaps you live in one of your parents countries but the other. Not. but you still identify with one of your parents nationality because of the rest of your family from that side and the culture your take in from them. So it’s always very personal! So for Kai and Nya, I imagined that ray was Argentinian and Maya Filipino. And perhaps - because I want to project onto my faves- they were born and grew up in Argentina. But have always also identified a lot with their mothers homeland, since not only does their race impact the way they might feel more different and set apart from kids there, maya loves talking about her childhood in the Philippines and is always talking over the phone with their aunts and cousins, meaning Kai and Nya def were taught some Tagalog, tho theyre not incredibly fluid with it. In their early teens they probably travelled to the Philippines, (took ray and maya some time to settle down and get enough money to travel, as well as find time) and met their whole family, and the place they reside in, habit that would turn quite common as they would continue to travel other times the following years.

For Lloyd, I really wanted to make him Asian -Brazilian. It just felt right. So imagined that my queen (don’t you judge her >:() Misako would be Brazilian, meanwhile Garmadon,Japanese. i imagine that Misako adores traveling, so she met Garmadon on her trip to Japan, and decided to stay there for a WHILE because of the brothers. During her time there, she had Lloyd. Since her family heard of her new baby, she travelled back to Brazil with a two y/o Lloyd to have her family meet the him and catch up overall. but as the serpentine wars rose In japan (ill hc it happened in japan let me know what u think of that) Misako was told to wait in Brazil. Misako didn’t really like that though, and while she dreaded having to leave her son, she was sure shed come back soon after helping out the Brothers in the battle against the serpentine. So Lloyd was left to live with his aunties and grandparents in Brazil. Of course, after Misako found out about the whole Green Ninja thing and all that crap, she pulled the same stunt as in the series and ✨ vanished ✨. But then Garmadon came and fucking took him like divorced parents sometimes do uk? So then he spent some other of his childhood years growing up in, ya guessed it, Japan. This is how Lloyd identifies both with being a Brazilian and Japanese. As for the rest, I just envision that they lived in their respective countries their whole lives till they were recruited!

as older sisters (platonic of course stfu pedos) catching her little brother in the middle of a fight with a kid from his middle school he hates? And lil bro aint losing by any means He’s actually like, REALLY fucking the other kid up; swollen eye, missing teeth, bloody mouth and nose, you name it. They’re in the middle of a field and there’s multiple kids also from the school recording the fight. The lil bro is undamaged for the most part, with a couple of minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises. When he notices his big sis is present he literally goes “Aw shit….”. How do you think they’d intervene IF YOU THINK THEY WOULD?

She shows up once she heard from Kaito and everything silences. If you saw the look on her face you'd be running (and people did-). She wasn't having it and told you to stop.

She then took you too see Mikan (she didn't trust the nurse at your school), she didn't give a shit about the other kid. Maki sat you down and told you,

"hey kid. Listen, as much as I'm proud of you for not losing the fight, you can't go around beating people up. Don't want you getting hurt. Okay? Be more careful"

After Mikan aided you she took you home (Mikan insisted it, she didn't want you getting more hurt than you are). Once you guys got home, y'all watched some TV till she had to go to work (assassin 🤭) and kaedes and kaito came over to hang out with you (Maki totally didn't tell them to check up on you while she was gone-🤫) she came home to you in bed asleep and kaito eating your chips 💀 he sure as hell learned a lesson from that

Mikan:

She ran as soon as she could to your school when she heard from one of your friends that you were in a fight.

She's disappointed but knows she can help you get better with her ultimate, so she takes you to her school because she's scared to leave you home alone while she's gone.

Once she patches you up, she asks her teacher is you can stay with her and ms.yukizome let's her. Once gotten home she lightly scolds you and tells you to eat and get some sleep.

"p-please get some sleep, I'm sorry for not coming sooner! I-ill try talking with your teacher about your classmate. Please don't try doing that again unless absolutely needed!"

She's a sweet sister, she just worries about you! ❤️🥺

Kaede:

She had got a call from the office after the fight and came to your school, she didn't really care if she missed class. shuichi would help her catch up with school work.

She scolded you once you guys got home. Your mom (if you have one, you can replace with your guardian) was home and She told her what happened. Let's just say you were in trouble 🥶

"little man 😡 you can't just go around fighting people. Don't do it again okay? Okay! Now go take a shower you stink"

Mahiru:

She got a phone call from the nurse in your school as your father wasn't answering the phone (she has daddy issues so you do too) and was angry. She walked all the way to your school to pick you up and then scolded you on your way home.

Once home she told you to clean up GENTLY while she cleaned and made dinner. She contemplated on getting one of her classmates to ensure your okay but decided against it since she didn't wanna bother them. Honestly you got off lucky in terms of the fight. Shed probably have to have a talk with the kids parents.

"listen. Your supposed to be the bigger person. I don't want to get anymore phone calls that you've been in fights. Got it?"

scary and linc are both dyslexic. scary likes poetry because it often takes time to parse and understand anyways and sometimes the lines are shorter and clearer

taylor ran track before he started using a cane. i’m thinking either sports injury OR chronic illness manifesting in his bones at 14. this is how he is so popular (either this or marching band 🤔 maybe track then he switched to band?)

normal noticed what was going on with These Three wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy before any of Them noticed. he tried to shout it from the rooftops but all three of them have demand avoidance so it just made the wait longer

"What are all your medical HCs for Melone?"

The first time I discussed Melone's potential health issues was when I listed some conditions for him in my La Squadra headcanon/drawing meme, the full version of which is here. For this post I'll include my original portrait of Melone separately since it demonstrates some of what I'll be talking about:

(For the meme, I listed the following conditions: comorbidities, amblyopia, allergies.)

Originally I didn't think a lot about medical conditions, but after listening to some friends talk about potential clues to Melone having poor health (his mask hinting at eye problems, the fact that his Stand works remotely so he doesn't have to engage his targets directly, and even things like his stiff gait in the now-defunct JoJo's Pitter Patter Pop mobile game), I decided that this reading of Melone made sense, and started thinking more about it. That said, since I'm not chronically ill and have little experience with chronic illness in my everyday life, I can only talk in vague terms.

As mentioned above, I had amblyopia listed in the drawing meme, meaning one "lazy" eye that Melone might also be mostly blind in. I've seen others say that his covered eye could be an implant, which is also interesting! In the end I went with amblyopia for the aesthetic.

By comorbidities, I was thinking an autoimmune disorder and some comorbid conditions exacerbating it and causing symptoms like joint pain, chronic pain, or insomnia. My portrait shows Melone with vitiligo both as an aesthetic choice (adding even more visual interest, which makes his portrait one of my all-time favorites I've done) and as a way of reflecting this condition, and an added motive was that I just feel like these little things make a difference and might make people with vitiligo feel more seen. Basically Melone is usually in mild to moderate pain, and on his bad days, it gets progressively worse, so he takes a lot of medication and indulges in hot baths. I would also add in retrospect that I could see him having occasional seizures, which tend to land him in the ER from time to time - along with stuff like minor accidents, having alcohol too soon after taking medication, or allergy flare-ups.

Speaking of allergies, my headcanon came from talking to a friend and joking about Melone figuring out through trial and error what he can and cannot have. Lactose intolerance is definitely among those in my land, so Melone has to take his lactaid if he wants a milkshake. Other allergies that I can remember later thinking about were to gluten, possibly sea food, and maybe even stuff like latex.

I didn't go into more detail in the original draft because it sometimes makes me feel sad to think about these things (and as I am editing this, the sentiment holds true), but because of Melone's general design and Stand design, these do make sense to me and honestly, it also helps to flesh out other aspects of his character. Thinking about potential medical conditions for him led to my absolute favorite headcanon for Melone, which is him taking ER selfies of himself and with friends, so for every trip to the emergency room, he has a few photos of himself flashing a victory sign while hooked on an IV, etc. It's funny and eccentric but also heartwarming and heartbreaking in a way: he is just making the most out of his condition and he has friends to help him and make the journey feel less harrowing.

for floyd i go off some HCs i have for her, like him having the adhd + autism + bpd combo, which makes him a very unstable fella. i also HC that the coral sea was Rough, principally where he comes from, so the circumstances werent at her favour and Boom, did system

some of his alters are sea-life based, but brainmade, with a ton of diff species! the others are based off songs she likes & characters she sees herself in/relates to! sometimes the characters resemble jade, too. theres only a few trauma holders, most are protectors or soothers, and some persecutors!

theyre like. that weird, big family down the street. they all like each other a lot but they looove to bicker and brawl and all of that. ALSO all of them Love jade too! they see him the same way they see floyd :D shes included in their weird family, floyd says shes an honorary member of his system!!

iii think his inner world would be like. a beach house! close to the sea and such, cause hes a mermaid but he also likes having legs. so beach house it is! its veey big and lively! i also think hed learn it after he comes to land, maybe in the middle of his freshman year, but he wasnt very affected by it. hes also very open about it he does not give two shits lol

for riddle... its canon that her childhood was shitty, ever since she was old enough to talk & walk, so its no wonder hes a system too lol. i hc her as autistic + bpd and that heavily influenciated the whole splitting too

she has some brainmades, mostly based on flowers & animals (ladybug & rabbit), But i also HC that she has some alters from an old novel she red while small ! one he loved soo much and his brain split the guys. i even have their roles (soother, protector, gatekeeper, and some others) but anyways! most of her alters are either from books or brainmade, and theres a shitton of trauma holders. she has like only 1 or 2 guys from songs cater showed her and Thats It. no more song guys lol

most of them are either very smart and prideful and all of that, or theyre sillay. very funny fellas, love having fun, but still smart as hell !

after her overblot he like. split three or five more in a week 😭😭 it sucked ass and he had an awful headache for days. + he was only made aware of her system After the overblot, during the recuperation week, bc the other alters went to check on her, and it was. Something. she told cater & trey right away and they helped her navigate it all, then she told adeuce duo too and some other few close friends!

i hc that her inner world is a big ass red white pink and black castke, in the middle of a very dense florest, with a maze and all. the fauna & flora are kinda diverse and all ! very pretty :]]

also i am. a big fan of florid..... and i think theyd start dating someday. and when they do. they turn into partner systems (if u dont know what it is lmk) and lots of other alters from their systems start dating too lol. they take turns to stay w their s/o.... theyre all so annoying and cute

(i have some names for their systems too.... rosewell for riddle's and vortice for floyd's... yay)

i also think the human brain is super interesting.. i was wondering how traumatic events would effect merpeople/beastmen differently so it's interesting to see someone hc floyd as someone affected by his upbringing. i think there's a thin line of difference between what's considered normal/traumatic for humans and non humans (for example, jade being implied to eat his and floyds siblings is considered normal, but would the violence down there be?)

(a small thing written wrt @digital999placebo‘s excellent hc for ludwig’s inception, and the musings between me and one of my beloved mutuals. affectionately titled “frankenlutz” in my google docs.)

The first time Venezia saw the sickly boy Prussia called “the German Empire” up close, he fainted.

The second time, after he woke back up, he swung a punch square into Gilbert’s jaw.

How dare he? How dare he mutilate his beloved into some grotesque thing? And to parade it around like some grand accomplishment! Feliciano had seen many disturbing things in his impossibly long life, but looking into the eyes of his dear Holy Rome, roughly set into the twisted face of this unnatural monster of a nation, shook him to his core. He could hardly be in the same room as it without feeling ill. Hopefully, he prayed, Gilbert’s little science experiment would die soon and be out of its misery, and he wouldn’t have to see it any more.

Unfortunately, Gilbert was determined to keep it alive, leading him to beg for help at Feliciano’s front door.

He chased after Feliciano down the hall of his manor. “Feli, I know he’s not quite there yet, but you have to give him time! He’s going to be a great nation!”

Feliciano spun around on his heels and leered in close. “That thing is not a nation,” he snapped. “All you did was butcher Johannes’ corpse and stitch it back together.”

Gilbert flinched at the mere mention of his brother. “Please, just give him a chance. He needs all the love and support he can get. I…” He sighed and dropped his gaze to the floor. “I can’t do this alone. I need help. He needs help. Not nation to nation, but person to person.”

“What am I supposed to do?”

“I don’t know, just spend time with him. I’m doing what I can to get him up to speed on history and politics and all that, but he needs someone to teach him how to be a person. Maybe start by not calling him ‘it’. He’s still a child.”

Feliciano’s glare softened. It- no, he was still a child. No matter how he was brought into this world, he was deserving of compassion the same as any other. Even though he was bound to die soon, why shouldn’t the boy be shown love in his short time on Earth?

After staring at an expectant Gilbert for a few moments, Feliciano finally spoke. “I’ll do it,” he agreed, “but when the child finally dies, keep it that way.”

Feliciano was in over his head. By appearance, the child- Ludwig, Gilbert had christened him- had to be at least thirteen, but by his mind… It was hard to tell. He seemed to understand everything he heard, but couldn’t perform basic tasks like dressing himself or cutting up his own food, making Feliciano’s lessons in fashion and etiquette exceedingly difficult.

Feliciano finally unknotted the mangled laces of Ludwig’s boots and deftly retied them, securing them with a little bow. “There!” He sat back on the floor, his hands on his hips. “Maybe we’ll save dressing for later. Do you want to do something a little more fun? Oh, how about drawing?”

Ludwig tilted his head. He didn’t speak much lately; he wasn’t talkative in the first place, but after a few weeks with Feliciano, the corners of his mouth began to split and Gilbert had to place more sutures, making speech difficult.

“You’ll like it, come on!” Feliciano stood and extended his hand to Ludwig, who took it and pulled himself up onto shaky feet. “You’re lucky, you know. Not everyone gets private lessons from an authentic Italian artist!”

Ludwig’s cheeks twitched in what must have been a smile protesting against the stitches, and Feliciano beamed. He led the boy into his study and sat him down at a small table near a window. Feliciano dug out a sketchbook and a small tin holding pencils and charcoal, and ripped out a page for Ludwig before sitting down with the sketchbook.

“Let’s start with something simple, like… that vase!” Feliciano pointed to a small vase of flowers on the windowsill. “You can ignore the flowers, just draw the vase. Here-“ he handed Ludwig a pencil. “All you have to do is put the pencil to paper and draw what you see.”

Ludwig took the pencil from Feliciano and eyed it curiously. He looked back up, his brows furrowed.

“Watch me.” Feliciano took a pencil for himself and began making short, light strokes on the paper, sketching out the curved outline of the vase with practiced ease. “It’s not as hard as it looks, I promise.”

Ludwig pressed his own pencil to the paper and stared determinedly at it as he began to draw, though his unsteady hands left the lines thick and wobbly. He nearly snapped the pencil after his hand jerked, striking a dark line across his drawing. He dropped the pencil with a huff and began to shake.

“Lud, are you alright?” Feliciano leaned in closer. Oh, he was crying. He didn’t think he had ever seen Ludwig sad before. Until then, Feliciano didn’t know the child could cry in the first place, but here he was, fat tears spilling down his face. Feliciano wrapped his arms around Ludwig and hugged him tight. “You’re okay, mi cocco, you’re doing a good job,” he assured him.

“No, ‘m not,” Ludwig said, his words clumsy and slurred. He pulled away from Feliciano and harshly rubbed his eyes.

“You are! I didn’t get good overnight, it took years.”

“Don’t have that long.”

Feliciano’s cheerful smile dropped away. “What did you say?”

“I’m s’posed to die soon.” Ludwig looked up at Feliciano, his expression unreadable except for his puffy red eyes. “S’what Mama Erzsi said.”

“She told you that?” Feliciano knew Erzsébet, and knew she would never say something like that to a child.

“T’ Austria. Thought I didn’ hear, but I did.”

Feliciano took Ludwig back into his arms and held him close as he himself began to tear up. So he knew. Ludwig knew he was destined to die, and they were all just playing along. Feliciano cringed wondering what he may have heard from him; did Ludwig ever hear him call him “an ugly, perverse monster” or “an affront to God”? He cursed himself internally over it. What Gilbert did was wrong, but the child was innocent in all this. Who was he to condemn Ludwig as a monster, a failed experiment? Looking down at the boy in his arms, Feliciano made a silent vow to give Ludwig as much kindness as he could in the short time he had left.

(Which may not be so short after all.)

yes, this means that he doesnt wear the silly link clothes everyday. he thinks that theyre uncomfy and always changes into something else as soon as possible. he keeps the green colour scheme though

probably goes to thrift stores with jeff to get a laugh out of the stupid shirts they end up finding

TY FOR READING IT :D erm erm let me link the fanfic again. maybe i can tempt someone to read it. i wrote a little about haruka's dad in there😳 bur also bc i will be talking abt it in this post heh

SURPRISINGLY i dont have a super concrete headcanon for haruka's dad? i see the consensus is that He Sucks and He's Awful and another hc ive seen a lot is he HATES takane because SHE MAKES HARUKA WANNA LIVE😩😩😩... which is kinda funny to me.

i dont think mr kokonose hates takane. i dont think he knows she exists! i think he spent so little time with haruka and even less time actually chatting with him he would've never met takane or even heard about her a lot. he probably knows haruka has one classmate and has probably heard her name but i doubt he'd care to remember it. another thing abt haruka's dad hating takane bc She Makes Him Wanna Live.. i dont think he'd KNOW about haruka's pain and how much he wants to live. he never spent time with haruka or talked with him to know him so personally, especially since haruka was in denial and doesn't even admit to himself he's desperate to live until he's in his last months of life.

about the general idea haruka's dad is an asshole. well... ITS PRETTY MUCH IN TEXT. haruka describes him as an offbeat guy who plays life straight and narrow and never jokes around. also the kind of person who can tell a 10 year old boy who just lost his mom "Hey ur also gonna die in a few years" lol. so yeah probably not the Best guy around

haruka's "whatever" attitude (ive talked abt this in another post i know sorry im repeating) i think comes a lot from his dad?? like since his dad acts Whatever about everything + his illness especially, haruka also learned to be like that. it's pretty much the only reference he has and the only coping tool he can find. so haruka represses his feelings and feels like he has no right to say them out loud. for example when he realises he's in love with takane. he says "i feel i have no right to say it". that has something to do with haruka being conditioned to believe nothing he feels or does matters, because he's just gonna die soon anyway.

it's also said mr kokonose became Weird once haruka's mother passed. i was never a fan of this detail because... hm... scientist dad becomes cold and distant after mother passes away because he just loved her So Much........ why does that sound familiar?

jin i respect u for writing men so deeply in love with their wives but there's too much repetition there with the tateyama parents. like girl.... personally, I'd rather imagine haruka's dad like he's Always been a weird distant guy. in fact not only that but i headcanon his mother was like this as well. i think it's easy to hc the mom to be as cheerful and nice as haruka since we know exactly nothing about her personality, but idk why i enjoy the hc where both of haruka's parents were kind of cold and not very affectionate people in the first place. and when the mom passes, haruka's dad kinda goes No Contact. it just adds to haruka being so desperate for any kind of connection with people LOL like my guy doesn't even THINK of his dad when he's dying

these are one of haruka's dying thoughts 😭😭😭 like HE JUST. DJFDKFKRKFK SORRY ITS A LITTLE FUNNY HE MENTIONS KENJIROU AND NOT HIS DAD‼️‼️‼️ dont get me started on kenjirou and haruka's father/son relationship (will get started)

ok haruka's dad works at research labs. in the fanfic i wrote i also made it to be like. he researches diseases and vaccines and shit. i think he'd do that kinda job. and i think it's very much motivated by his family. and since he did that kinda job he knew how hopeless haruka was, especially after the passing of the mom. mr kokonose being like welp. might as well crush his hopes before they even exist👍 like maybe he feels like he's doing some good by preparing haruka for the truth lol ...and maybe haruka's dad technique is like erm. i was already sad my wife died so ill keep distance from haruka so i dont get sad again 👍 so its rather a selfish move on his part to tell that to haruka. like i dont wanna dad u anymore this shit sucks

like i said i dont have a concrete hc i honestly do kinda enjoy the idea of haruka's dad just not giving a fuck about him LMAOOO BUT for the sake of answering, the way i wrote it in the fanfic was different.

the fanfic is about kenjirou. so when i wrote abt harukas dad it was more about kenjirou and haruka's bond than about haruka and his dad. like since earlier in the fanfic kenjirou has that convo with haruka and takane where haruka realises he's trying to admit his role in their deaths and haruka kinda asks him like. PLEASE JUST LIE LIKE I DONT WANNA KNOW. and kenjirou isnt even able to lie for their sake. it really broke haruka's heart and ruins his (and takane's) image of kenjirou. so when i wrote the bit abt haruka's dad later on, i wanted it to be more about... kenjirou knowing just how much of a bad dad mr kokonose is, particularly because kenjirou played a father figure for haruka in the past. yet he fails him so so badly. not only that but kenjirou is so focused/depressed about kano refusing to speak to him at the moment. so when he finds out mr kokonose is Apparently managing a bond with haruka, kenjirou is like AUUGGGGHH because this OTHER dad he once considered a bad dad is doing better than him. kenjirou fucked up his bond with haruka AND kano. thats kinda what i was trying to do there, idk if i did it succesfully LOL i also think he and kenjirou should be old man yaoi together bc it'd be funny. anyways moving on

yeah i think haruka and his dad would be in each others lives post str. i also think it'd be DEEPLY awkward for both of them its definitely NOT the father/son bonding of all time. lol. they see each other not super often and when they do it's not that cool. since its mentioned haruka's dad plays life Straight and Narrow he isn't super excited abt haruka's poor excuses about where he's been, why is he not dead/dying anymore and WHAT DO YOU MEAN ur drawing for a living WHAT DOES THAT MEAN‼️‼️‼️ so haruka probably. doesn't visit a lot❤️ but maybe haruka gifts him a painting and despite his dad doesnt understand how the hell haruka's paying rent he still puts the painting up. and haruka sees the painting is on the wall next time he visits and while neither says anything, haruka's thankful for the acknowledgment and his dad likes the painting and appreciates the gift. i think that's as tender as they can get lol.

erm erm haruka's dad doesn't know how to deal with this unexpected turn of events like. his dead kid just suddenly showed up again. whats a cringe old man to do?

in the fanfic i also wrote it like he kinda thought takane was cool bc she had a more stable job than haruka LMAOOOO that was sorta just a callout to what i talked abt earlier, since a popular hc says mr kokonose would dislike takane. so i was like you know what. lets make it he likes her better than haruka (<- my insane need to make everyone love takane)

quick takane mention please let me mention takane. i think haruka would refuse to bring takane to meet his dad bc seeing his dad is just so. emotionally draining and doesn't want her to sit through that and he's also probably like. passive aggressive a lot and haruka knows takane would kill the guy. sooo yeah. eventually theyd obviously meet and it is as painful as one can imagine bc mr kokonose probably googled what to say and is treating meeting your son's girlfriend like its a job interview. haruka and takane walk out of there in Shock. but yeah he likes her in his own weird way

conclusion: i wrote abt it mostly because of kenjirou. i agree haruka's dad is probably a dickhead but he could be a funny one too👍

Previous anon. Honestly nothing made me happier than seeing natsume and mikan well and happy in the spin off manga, just together and happy. Ofc i do miss Hotaru and i hope she managed to get back to the gang bc they are just not complete without her.

I wanted to ask you: do you have any HCs regarding the quartet (yes including Hotaru being back) in their mundane day to day highschool time? How is studying for them, what do they all wanna be when thry graduste? Are any of them going to go to university? How fast are Natsume and Mikan going to be married? Anyone any kids? Maybe a dog or cats?

thanks for the ask <3 yeah my absolute favorite part of the spin off was seeing natsumikan as an official couple! theyre so cute <3 im incapable of thinking of a post-kageki universe where they dont reunite with hotaru.

tsubasa mentions around chapter 73 or 74 that the last couple years of the high school count as university credit but that some students choose to continue college to gain more knowledge. i feel like perhaps hotaru would be in that category. she is very lazy but i think she'd want to refine her skills. if not that, then i could see her easily taking off with a career right out of school since she already has an impressive following. her future is pretty solid.

ruka wants to be a vet and i'm not entirely sure how vet training would work in alice academy? it's a pretty lengthy process in the normal world--about 8 years (4 undergrad, 4 at vet school). if the last 2-3 years of alice academy hs are the equivalent of a typical 4 year university, then ruka would still have to continue the 4 years of vet school to get his credential. in any case, he's pretty passionate about it. he doesn't seem like he puts much effort into school while in elementary school, but i think he'd put his all into vet school because he'll be doing something he really loves.

i can see mikan pursuing a teaching job or maybe nursing--something where she can help people. it would HAVE to be a people-oriented occupation, where she interacts with lots of people and is more hands-on. in either case, she could probably start right away after graduation and since nepotism is real and she's close friends with most of the staff, she's a shoe-in for a teaching position for sure.

i can't imagine natsume having a job he's passionate about. i don't think natsume would ever be passionate about labor, no matter what it is. i've read all kinds of fics, where natsume goes on to be a spy or work in security or what have you, but to be honest i don't think natsume would EVER elect to be in a dangerous field after being a child soldier for so many years. idk cant he be mikan's stay at home husband? cant he have a break? if he must have a job, i'd hate it if he did anything dangerous; i much prefer to imagine him doing something calm and laid-back.

as for the marriage question.... i can see them getting married ASAP. like right away tbh. natsume has a terminal illness after all! but thats not fully relevant to me bc i cant imagine a future where natsume doesnt get "cured" in some way. i just cant. in any case they were 12 when they got engaged so they're the kind of couple that moves fast FOR SURE. they'd get married as soon as it becomes a possibility. i talk about the possibility of nm children here, too.

as for other characters...

idk really. i can see tsubasa and misaki for sure having kids. the other class b characters might have kids but probably not right away. i can see ruka for sure having pets always. maybe natsumikan get a kitty. that would be cute!

-how did they meet? cosvin admired germany's house then saw drunk gilbert wh o drank beer- she was confused af yknow but yea, the other day gilbert was looking for gilbird and saw his bird was eating food from the birdfeeder in the nordics house (that house is where cos lives- ) so gil decided to kinda jokingly give a thank you letter and cosvin actually responded to it- and gilbird sent it to gil- and they were talking back and forth- later they decided to meet each other irl in a national cookie party; cosvin went 'oh shit he's handsome 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳' and thats when they star t their super huge slow burn romance haha

-what kind of hobbies/activities/interests do they share?: after cosvin;s interest of space; gil started to get more into it- same for stargazing? after gil, cosvin got into vintage, history, medival : D also they both visit a lot of different places together…. and gilbert's place where he relaxes over when hes writing (a huge grassfield- at night theres fireflies : ) they both go there often

-what is their dynamic like? well… i hc Gilbert as ENTP and im infj,,, i like to think he's the huge chaotic while im sort of trying not to make him chaotic but ends up failing and somehow starts helping doing the chaos? if that helps what it means? oh yea gil sure does invade a lot of space for cos, but she actually doesnt mind it? sort of embraces it sinc e she was also sorta touch starved haha she at first would feel herself very flustered about it though like 'dude did he just touched my shoulder??? 😳😳😳' 'oh my god he just petted me ☺☺☺☺😳😳😳😳' when they're a thing- they are extremely doing lots of PDA when no one was around (bc they kept their ship a secret at first) but soon they get found out tho they still kinda do it at some moments in public-
